Bought this last year and worked great! Couldn’t put a cover in the pool so it was really filthy. 1 treatment and it was actually back to blue! Wouldnt use anything else. Highly recommend it.

Although it helped to clear some of the algae in the pool, it did not kill it all and the pool was still green after application even though I carefully followed the instructions. If the algae infestation is light the product will probably bring the pool “back to blue” but if the infestation is severe it will not finish the job.

After spending almost $200 at the local pool store and being told we don’t have algae cause our water was only cloudy. I decide to try this product cause my father said it was great. Sure enough my pool was crystal clear again.

Wish I would have listen to dad instead of the “pros” lol.

Do you like wasting money and being completely frustrated? Well, this is the automatic pool cleaner for you!I bought this at Leslie’s Pool Supply. It worked great for a week. After that all it would do is go in a circle and wrap itself in its own hose.

After reading up on it, it’s apparently a huge problem among those who buy this product’s latest version. There is a floating ball randomizer chamber and a turning piston with a turbine end inside. The chamber floods, the ball floats to the top, and the ball is supposed to randomly block off one of the jet ports and the cleaner goes either to the left or right.

If the chamber doesn’t seal enough in any way, the ball stays suctioned to the same port. Well, the chamber was leaking completely at the glued seals. It was also failing to seal at the hole where the piston goes into the chamber.

The piston also stops rotating and develops deep grooves preventing a good seal. I wrapped the chamber joints in self sealing hose tape to know avail. I added a ring on the same tape to the end of the turning piston to make it seal the randomizer chamber when the piston is all the way in.

That didn’t last long. I tried everything. No luck. When it worked, it was great. Unfortunately, it’s shoddily manufactured and not even remotely durable. I have contacted Polaris Customer Support and received no response.

Don’t bother with this cleaner.

The product was delivered on time and was TOTALLY complete with a long hose, back up device, filter bag and wall attachment. All in black. This item replaced our original Polaris (we call it Dewey after the maintenance drone in the motion picture “Silent Running”).

Our local pool supply store would have charged us about 50% more and the availability/delivery date was vague. Our new Polaris (Dewey) works great right out of the box and with the longer hose is able to reach further to clean the entire pool! I could not be happier with the product and this seller!!.

Bad experience with Polaris 280, seller Back Yard Superstore and DiscoverMyStore. Pool cleaner stays hung up on steps/pump hose/intake. Hose stays twisted and knotted. Cleaner gets in bind on steps, wont back up in reverse mode, turning wheels against steps eat up plastic gears on drive wheels, making unit ineffective.

I have managed my pool 20 years and this is the worst cleaner yet. I have a typical rectangular in ground pool. DiscoverMyStore contacted and they passed on to seller who passed on to manufacturer, Zodiac.

Zodiac attempted remedy with live video and replacement parts which did not fix problem, just not a good cleaner. Have had less than a year and none of the 3 will refund or replace. $500 down the drain, losing confidence in DiscoverMyStore.

When I bought my current house with an inground pool 15 years ago, the previous owner left the Polaris 360 with me. At the time I had never owned a pool, let alone done any maintenance on one. At first I would hook it up and let it run for a couple of hours, remove it, and then do that again 3-5 days later.

Well, being as i’m naturally lazy, that soon turned into just leaving it hooked up all the time. I worried somewhat that this would wear it out quickly. What I found out, is yes, it will wear out the bag once per year, the hose assembly every other year, and the bearings about every 3 years.

For me, to do ZERO pool maintenance this is a small price to pay. For others, simply unhooking it when your done, will probably turn the cleaner maintenance in half I would estimate. At the beginning of the swim season, I pull the cover off the pool, hook up this cleaner and let it just go.

The only thing I have to do, is after 3-5 days of the initial running, is to go through and clean the walls above water level by hand. I never do anything else the rest of the season. I never even turn off the pump to clean the bag.

Just un-attach it while running, empty it, and re-attach it while still running. So I’ve owned it 15 years and it was used when I got it, so I’m not sure howold it really is. But obviously this thing has lasted a long time.

As my original title says, the best value for the money of anything I have ever owned. It gets the highest possible rating I could give. In a time when expectations of quality are longevity are at a low, this product restores my faith in a company.

Thanks Polaris!! If your wondering, I bought this second one, because it had been an in-store demo unit and the guy thought it was broken. So I got a steal and what he thought was broken took 5 minutes to fix and I have a brand new unit for way less that 1/2 price of new.

I bought it thinking that I would use it for parts in a worse case scenario, instead I have a brand new cleaner that I don’t really need, as I would hate to scavenge parts from it. I may resell it and make a buck and just keep the old one another 10 years or so!.

Works well with my above ground pool. One thing to note with this is that it’s not so much a “pool vacuum”, but rather a “pool hoky” if that makes sense. There is no suction involved with this device.

You hook it up to the pump outlet that pushes water out, not the inlet that sucks it in. The pressure pushes it around the pool and the brushes scoop up debris. I like this in that it doesn’t suck all the junk into the pool filter and rather it goes into a little bin in the Intex unit, similar to a Roomba.

This helps from needing to change the pool filter after using it. I let it run for a few hours each week and when I pull it out the bin is full of all kinds of weeds and debris, so it definitely works, but don’t expect it to get every single bit of sand, seed, etc, especially if stuff has collected in a corner of your pool, so you’ll probably still need to use a handheld pool vacuum for the couple of spots it can’t get to.

Ultimately I view this product the same as an indoor Roomba. It doesn’t replace vacuuming, but it severely cuts down the amount of vacuuming you’ll need to do manually. For 1/5 the price of the more expensive and featured pool vacuums, I’m happy with my purchase.

The robot has been easy to use and we’ve used it often for 2 pool seasons. If you are expecting something to suck up leaves at the bottom of your pool, it doesn’t do much of that. It blows leaves and seems to do a great job sucking up algae at the bottom of the pool.

It will suck up some smaller leaves but if you have a good amount of large sized leaves at the bottom of your pool, it does better with small ones. With my rectangular intex pool, it doesn’t like to get the corners well at all.

I like that the movement slows down once it needs emptying. It has definately helped with opening our pool, I just wish it primarily sucked up large leaves.

Large bits of debris in your pool are not the problem. It’s the millions of little bits spread throughout the pool (usually settled to the bottom) that are the food for algae. I love the science/engineering behind this product.

Cheap, easy to use, uncomplicated and powered by the pump you already have running. What’s not to love?Unfortunately, this little guy zooms back and forth, jetting around the bottom of the pool like there is no tomorrow.

In the process, it stirs up all those millions of little particles so they float around in the water rather than sitting at the bottom or the pool. It does a great job picking up leaves and such, but it captures relatively few of the little bits and once they are floating around, it can’t suck them in.

Leave it running 24/7 if you want, all it does is keep the water churned up so that they can’t settle to the bottom to be vacuumed. All in all, a complete fail. The only good part is it was much cheaper to buy this useless product than it would be to buy the other ones.

My pool is 12 years old, never had a problem until this year. The steps in the shallow end and the drain in the deep end were badly stained yellow-brown. I tried everything I knew and had no success.

Then I bought 1 kit of Jack’s Step Stuff and it cleaned the top two steps within minutes. I bought 3 more kits and used 2 of them to clean the bottom 2 steps and the drain in the deep end. This stuff is fantastic! The pool looks new again.

This product was recommended to us by our pool builder when we built our house and pool in 1993. We love the fact that it is effective in controlling algae in our warm and humid climate, is compatible with chlorine if you choose to use it to shock, and is low maintenance.

We have become evangelists for this product and recommend it to everyone we know. We considered going to a salt system, but after researching it, we believe we still have the best product for us.

We have a very small in-ground pool with jacuzzi spilling into pool. We just went through hurricane Sally. Power off 5 days with no circulation in pool. Stains began to develop and call In the swim for advice.

Super stain away advised. We use well water to fill pool. We live close to Al coast and mostly sand. The water from well in super clear and taste great appears cleaner than bottle water from store. Being the pool circulation was off for extended periods and greening & staining.

We used 3in chlorine tab to assist with 1lb bag of shock. With in hours horrible green and yellowing/brown stain covered the walls and floor. Guess tablets pushed the chlorine over max causing green.

Replaced as much of the water with city water but very little affect. Mixed 3/4 bottle of stain away and distributed as recommended. 72 hrs no change. Mixed remaining contents of stain away, and distributed.

72 hrs later no affect. Tried super blue clarifier witch removed green but stain remained. 2 months bright sunny days and pool temp dropped below 63 and stain slowly went away. ITS super stain away just didn’t do the job.

We use an indoor hot tub in our basement during the winter season and city water seems to foam a little with the chlorine we use. Defoamer is out of season at our local stores. One capful solved the problem for 300 gallons.

Nowhere on the bottle does it say not for DE filter. Only stumbled on that fact when reading expanded description online. Talking to customer service was a waste of time. PLEASE UPDATE LABEL INSTRUCTIONS.

Let me first say that I am now a 70 year old woman handling a 20 x 40 swimming pool. I need all the automation I can get. I was the very happy and proud owner of a Dolphin Premier since 2014. I could not have been happier.

I never had a problem until recently when the motor really started slowing down. I tried replacing it with the same model and was very disappointed. It barely cleaned the waterline, got stuck in the corners and “floated” down the sides when reversing.

I found it hard to believe the new one could be so different – and in such a negative fashion. I returned it and started research for a different model. I settled on the newest E70 model and once again am happy.

The new features are great. I love the ability to use the two different types of filters at the same time. The top basket is fantastic and the size is great. The phone app is great too! I have to use the app to manually steer it for pick up since it will climb the nearest wall which may not be the right location for me.

I gave it 4 stars rather than five because even on the “Ultra Clean” mode it does not clean the entire bottom. There’s always a few leaves left behind. I am able to use the app to manually maneuver it to those spots to clean.

(Luckily I have a smart phone!) Also, it has a tendency to get stuck on the drains – but it wiggles itself and eventually gets unstuck. And last, but not least let me say how great it was dealing the The Pelican Shops.

They answered my questions over the phone with a great attitude and seemingly a lot of knowledge. I had my robot before I knew it. I liked their free warranty repairs including shipping. Let’s hope I never have to use it!.

I was replacing an old DX6. Contacted pelican customer service (chat). Was super helpful. Spent a lot of time with me going over the item. After a LOT of research, I was looking for this model and I was hesitant because it was so $$$.

You can’t get it on Amazon. I took a chance b/c customer service was so helpful. Couldn’t be more happy with my purchase. The E70 it top of the line. Checks all the feature boxes. Work’s perfectly and setting up the app was a breeze.

Did a stellar job cleaning Emptying the top loader basket was super easy. Way easier than bottom loader. It’s short pricey, but if it’s in your budget, I highly recommend.

This stuff is fantastic. We have copper in our water so I always use the “treated water” to fill my 18×42 inch intex pool. We must have run out of salt and some copper bled through. When I threw the chlorine in a green stain attached to pool bottom it would not rub off.

Looked terrible. I threw in half a bottle my pool is 5000 gallons. 2 hours later the floor was back to its original condition and there were ***. like of copper dust. I stirred it up and ran the ***.

it all came out into the filter and my pool looks great.

Have a fiberglass pool. 8 inch wide cooper stains. Scrubbed would not come out. Added this genie in a bottle. Not only did it remove all the stains but as the days went by it was cleaning the pool even more.

Stains I guess too faint to notice at first. But pool began to sparkle and get back to day one install. I forgot how fiberglass sparkles in the sun when it’s totally clean. Will be adding a bottle month as my routine.

Every time I top off or refill water in my hot tub, and then add chlorine, within a few house the water turns brownish green. The more water added, the browner it got. A brown ring forms around the spa.

Viscuous bubbles float on top. It takes about 20 changes of the filters to get the water clear. The Blue Stuff was supposed to be the answer to preventing the iron/chlorine reaction. I put 3 oz of The Blue Stuff in my 320 gallon hot tub after adding about 40 gallons of well water.

I waited about 24 hours before applying chlorine. After several hours the water remained crystal clear. However the next day the water was again greenish brown and had to be filtered out again. It appeared The Blue Stuff may have just delayed the reaction.

I’m not sure what to try now.

First bottle I received was only a half bottle bc it leaked out in the box. Sent a pic and a quick message, today I received another bottle. I have used the Biogaurd products and they are amazing. We will see how well the closing complete works when we reopen the pool.

Amazing product! We had a guest dog visiting and she climbed up in our couch while we were away and left a terrible shir odor. We bought this product, followed the directions and the strong smell was completely gone! Excellent product!.

I used this product in my 14×24 ft inground pool for the first time last fall when I closed my pool. along with a bioguard winterizing kit. When I opened the pool this spring, the water was clear and I could see a difference in using this product along with the winterizing kit.

We just bought the two wheel cleaner, and it works great. So nice having the bottom of the pool clean all the time. Found the perfect balance of skimmer and pool suction at the same time so the whole thing gets cleaned at once.

Every once in a while it gets hung up by the stairs but not the biggest deal in the world, otherwise for the money I highly recommend.

The Poolvernegen Hayward conversion kit is awesome. Watch the you tube video. 4hg1qP3dHNI. The video explains the throat size to use (see response in comments), based on pump size (volume flow), 2 HP pump, etc.

My spouse ignored that and just put in throat size of old unit. The kit has wheel wearings to make it so the wheel does not wobble. You just pull off a few parts from the original cleaner to reuse. at the right time snip the rubber band off the vanes.

You do have to pull hard to get some “clips out” and make sure you put them back on the correct side. the new clips slide in much more easily and the throat hold them in.

I bought this cleaner because of other good reviews on different web sites and YouTube. It replaces a Pentair Great White. I have a screened pool with a variable speed pump. While I don’t get big debris in the pool, the low speed on the pump ment that the Great White didn’t move much, and would get caught on the main drain.

This cleaner has “variable fins” on it’s impeller, so even at a low speed on the pump, the vane’s on the impeller spread out to maintain the speed of the impeller, and keep the cleaner moving at a good pace, including stepping over the main drain cover.

It keeps the small debris cleaned up in the pool and I’m very happy with the cleaner.

I have been in the pool industry for over 20 years and this product really cleaned our sand filter like it said it would. we were having issues with algae and the minute I added the product to the sand filter and followed instruction, the pool has been sparkely clean.

I would recommend using this first before getting a professional to check system.

I bought my first one way back in 1980 when I was living in Ireland in a little guitar shop in Bray. I was the lucky enough to start playing around the pubs and clubs and this was the plectrum I always used.

I still have it to this day along with the Lorenzo 12 string I was playing then. It just hasn’t worn. I can only get these plectrums direct from Germany where they are made and always buy from Erdinger.

I do not wear them out I keep losing them, or put them where I can’t find them. So try one and see exactly what I am talking about.

I am concerned that shock left a residue of some kind at the bottom of my pool. It did raise the free chlorine level quite well, but I was concerned about possibly bleaching my liner so I vacuumed up the residue.

I have an ultraviolet water sanitizer which destroys chlorine so I don’t put chlorine in through my skimmer. I have not contacted Clorox on this matter. I believe that they manufacture the product so I always purchase from them being wary of the content of other sellers who buy their product from Clorox.

I’m a new pool owner, and I bought this start up kit that looked so easy. I followed the directions as printed, and now have a cloudy, high chlorine, orange foam mess in my pool. After researching for days, I went back on your site and found that adding the products are to be done over the course of DAYS.

Not one right after another. It would have been so helpful and so less frustrating/upsetting if those directions were in the kit. The directions show add this, then add this, then add this, and on and on until i put everything in.

I had no idea they would interact this way when treating the pool. DO NOT ADD THESE CHEMICALS ALL TOGETHER. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW I’M GOING TO FIX, ASIDE FROM DUMPING OUT THE WATER.
