The DeLonghi Safeheat ComforTemp 1500W portable oil-filled radiator will effectively heat any room in the home. The unit is permanently sealed with pure diathermic oil for stable, efficient heating and never needs refilling.
The radiator uses economical ComforTemp technology to save energy and money by automatically maintaining the optimal temperature in the room, at the touch of a button.
I bought this to heat 168 square foot of living space as a primary source of heat. It always did a good job as long as the temps were above -10. I liked that, as a radiant heater, I could turn it off to cook and, because the entire living space was at temperature, the house held.
I purchased mine with the recommended socket protector. Warning: They only recommend plugging directly into the outlet; not even overheat protectors. Nevertheless, I used the overheat protection to protect my home when I wasn’t in it (most space heaters recommend that you don’t run them if you’re not home, too).
4 months into using this and that socket protector kicked off. It was really hot! I let the heater cool off completely and then tried it in a different outlet directly, without the socket protector. Within 1/2 hour, the outlet started to become really hot, too! When I tried to make a warranty claim with DeLonghi, they said I needed to try to contact tech support first.
Tech support said that I’d have to mail it to a service center and foot the bill for shipping! They also said they didn’t believe their product was the problem. I threw it out.
I have been consistently using my DeLonghi ComforTemp Oil-Filled radiator Heater for a month now and am extremely pleased with the purchase and its operation. I use it in my bedroom, which is in a walk-out basement with no ductwork for furnace heat.
Needless to say beside it being the only source of heat, it is also dealing with laminated floor over concrete slab. Yet, it keeps the room toasty (My husband’s favorite word to describe it). Also, it is very important that it be a quiet machine–light sleeper here–only sounds made are clicks ever so infrequently, and low sounding at that.
Even when we had some pretty cool days/nights (live in Michigan) this heater was able to keep up with the space (11 x 11). OH, I must add that I do have a small room-size rug on the floor–so I don’t need to step on the laminate while dressing, as the floor stays on the cool side.
This is a replacement heater for a DeLonghi heater that I had for 30 years. The thermostat broke. It took me a while to find this particular model. I wanted a simple, mechanical, oil filled space heater.
I wanted another DeLonghi. It seems that most of the space heaters today are electronically controlled with all sorts of bells and whistles. I wanted a mechanical one. Just an on- off switch and a thermostat.
This is the one to get. It has a low, medium, and high switch setting. It has a thermostat. It is great. You can’t get a better one. It does take a while to heat up a 12 x 12 room, but it keeps it very warm once it has reached the desired temperature.
There is one feature, an automatic temperature control. It is supposed to keep the temperature at between 68 and 72 degrees. I don’t use it because it kept the room at 78 degrees. I would have given it 4.
5 stars if I could. The flaw with this device is you can not see the thermostat stetting unless you get down on your hands and knees. The window is so small you can’t see the setting. The old DeLonghi had a big, red, open-faced dial that you could read standing up.
This one, no way. Other than that flaw, this is a great space heater. You can’t go wrong.
The heater’s flat-panel design creates 25 percent more heating surface area. It also offers dual heating via both convection and radiant heat, ensuring maximum heat with a low surface temperature. The simple controls allow you to customize your heat with an adjustable thermostat and three temperature settings.
The heater has a 24-hour timer, and its ECO Plus setting maintains an optimal room temperature while conserving energy. Dimensions: 40. 6 cm x 16. 5 cm x 63. 5 cm.
The Delongi TRD40615E Dragon 4 heater is the sure bet when it comes to heating. Typical heaters which have a hair dryer element, fan and thermostat are pretty useless compared to this passive heater.
When heating or cooling it always takes more time to achieve the temperature when heating or cooling when using fluids. Once at temperature, this fluids are more efficient, due to their resistance in losing temperature.
This heater will consume less energy that a forced air, coil/fan heater. Say the thermostat is at 70 degrees. Once the heater gets to 70 the oil will be at 70 degrees. With oil having a higher viscosity than air it will continue to heat the room, taking a longer time to lose its residual heat.
However, an air, electric element and fan cool off extremely fast due to their construction of thin lightweight medals. Thus the hair dryer with a fan will have to cycle on again. The heater with element fan and thermostat will cycle more often than the oil filled chimney designed heater.
So physics proves my point, hot air rises, same sized rooms, shapes materials within the room the oil filled heater is more efficient than the heater with open element and fan while trying to achieve the same outcome.
Delongi has a great design. I have used this model in a 200 square foot room which is above a garage. The house thermostat at 68 this one room will be at 64. With the additional supplimental heating from this radiator style heater I no longer worry if the room is warm.
The room will stay at 68 because of the oil filled heater.
Really nice radiator heater! It can definitely heat up a room! Upon opening the box, make sure to blow out any left over Styrofoam if any is stuck to the heater or in the cracks. The instructions say to turn it on and let it run for 4 hours on high for first use to burn off any chemical smells there may be.
It isn’t a strong smell but I did smell a lite hint of something. The wheels are easy to fold out and they make the heater very easily mobile as far as the plug will allow. You can very easily unplug it and slide it into another room with barely any effort at all.
The face has 7 buttons. 1. The obvious, on/off button. Self explanatory 2. The lightbulb. Now, why would a heater have a lightbulb?? It doesn’t, the face is a digital display and if you tap the lightbulb button it will dim the screen.
There are 3 different settings so if you are trying to sleep and need a very dark room, you can. Honestly though, it isn’t that bright but it is a nice option to have. 3. the power level. Self explanatory but again, it has 3 levels.
A nice feature. 4. The Timer! I did read all of the instructions and I am glad that I did. If you want the heater to turn on in 1,2,3 or 4 hours, you need to press this button and then hit the plus and minus button until you reach your desired amount of time and then leave it! Do not press power.
You will see a little clock display on the screen and now, you have set the heater to perhaps turn on in the middle of the night so you aren’t freezing when you wake up. Great option! Now, if you want the heater to turn off in an hour or 4, you just need to do the exact same but after you have turned the heater on.
5. the minus option. This is a control for the temperature and the timer. 6. The plus sign. This is also a control for the temperature and the timer. 7. The ECO button. If you press this button, the heater will run at the best amount of power to reach your desired temperature to save power.
I cant really say if this is useful or not. I am the type that want full heat when I have a heater going. It does look like a radiator however, it is a nice looking heater and it looks nice in any room.
It does feel hot to the touch when in use however it is not going to blister your skin if you accidentally touch it or a child or pet goes near it. I have both in my home so that is very important to me.
when Our home is over 2000 sq ft and when I am using the heater on the main floor, you can 100% feel the difference at the top of the stairs on the second level. It will be wonderful this winter in our basement which is finished but it does have a constant chill down there.
OH!!!!! One last thing that needs to be noted!!! It has an antifreeze mode! This is my favorite feature as it could potentially be life saving. If the room falls below a certain temperature, it will automatically turn on to prevent freezing.
I have to look more into this but it is an awesome feature if that is the case! I do like this heater a lot! I give it 5 stars and I do recommend this item.
Adjustable thermostat for personal comfort Overheat protection device Solid. Heavy gauge steel with durable. Rust-free enamel finish Whole room convection heating 7-fin electric heater. Oil never needs refilling or replacement.
Luggage style handle and easy-glide casters that make it easy to move from room to room Front-mounted cord wrap for off season cord storage.
No cons, but lots of pros regarding this heater. I purchased it to keep my 2-car garage above 32 F degrees during the harsh, Wisconsin winters. It has served its purpose for the past 3 years. I have run it on Hi – 70 degrees to do this, and it has worked well.
It keeps the electric bill down, plus all my recreational toys safe from the freezing temperatures during the winter. Of course, I follow all of the safety recommendations that include nothing around it for 3ft.
It is dependable, and does the job. I would recommend this model over all of the no-name models, as PELONIS is an american company who designs their equipment themselves, and ensures that everything is built tough with good materials.
Good unit, uses low power on economy setting. I place it in front of a fan to move the heat around my room. Good for 100 to 150 square feet or so, anything larger and I would get a more powerful unit.
I have never had to go over 75 degrees on the setting and it has a built in thermometer so it will turn off when it reaches the settings temperature. I keep it close to where I use it so no need form the remote though that is a good extra.
Also has a built in timer as well. Great little unit for the money! Would be nice to have more specific temperature settings for thermometer other than increments of 5. But great unit for my room.
I tried this type of heater after using all the other types of heaters available. This heater did the same job of heating but there is no loud fan noise as the other heaters produced. You can watch tv and not have to turn up the sound every time the heater comes on.
When you turn on the heater, you have to give it time to heat up the room. Then, adjust the thermostat to where you want it. It uses radiant heat, not fan-forced air. There are two aspects of the heater I don’t like: one thing I don’t like is the base thermostat temperature should begin at 55 or 60 degrees instead of 65 degrees.
The other aspect I don’t like is every time you turn the heater off, then back on, it starts in the High position with a temperature at 85 degrees; therefore, you can’t use it with a timer. I liked this heater so much I now have three of them.

I own an Aliner Ranger, a small, hard sided A frame camper. Although it came with a propane furnace, the furnace is Loud and heats until the camper is an oven, then shuts off until it is frigid cold, them restarts to repeat the process! We tried a small ceramic forced air heater, which was slightly less noisy, but still hot, cold, hot, cold cycle was just as extreme.
I had considered an oil filled heater, but all the other models I saw were way too large for the campers interior space. This little guy is just the right size to sit on the counter in front of the ac and because of its lower surface temp, I can still use the remainder of the counter.
Temperature dipped into the mid 30s last night, but the camper stayed at 70. Setting the temperature is a little tricky, you let it warm the area just a little warmer than you want, then turn the temperature control dial counter clockwise until it clicks to stop the oil heating.
When it cools slightly, the thermostat will click again heating the oil again until the set point is reached and the cycle repeats. The clicks are quiet and the fluctuation in room temperature is almost unnoticeable.
This is a small heater and will take some time to warm your space so give yourself time to fiddle with it before you go to sleep!.
So I did just receive this a day ago, and being this time of year shipment was a bit on the slow side, but not a surprise, of course and I was able to track it easily. So, the setup of the “legs” was amazingly frustrating, which is what brings my rating down to 4 stars.
The graphic of “how to” are drawings about the size of a pea and even with a magnifying lit reader, I could n’t see it. I went online to the Costway site and they have a lovely video, but no video of showing any kind of detail of placing the legs on this thing! For some reason, it was just not clear seeing the video after the legs were mounted! A friend came over and instantly placed them! Uh???.
though I did show her what I had tried. It is not at all intuitive “how to” put them on and exactly what slides into what! So, that aside, it heats wonderfully and fast and I have no doubt it will be perfect in my small room to add a toastier warmth.
An additional comment is that the first FEW hours (I would say more than 2) of operation the odor emitted from this radiator is quite toxic smelling – enough that it gave me a headache, so just be sure you are able to operate it for a bit in an area away from the room you will be in.

We live in Kansas and the month of October is always a weird month for our weather, one day it could snow and the next day it could be 90 degrees but the nights are getting down in the 30s. I don’t like turning our big heater on this early, so we have been using this great heater so heat the house up at night and the early mornings to make it comfortable temperature wise until the outside warms out.
When it came, it was so easy to get up and running. Just popping the wheels in place and it was ready to go. It uses a normal plugin – which is great. I always make sure to only plug this into it alone – not with any other cords to anything else.
What I like about this heater is all the adjustable settings, the 3 different heat settings, adjustable thermostat, ECO feature, and I just love the overall design of it. Now the use of the heater – it is one of the quietest heaters that we’ve ever owned.
We have owned many space heaters/portable heaters over the years, but none have ever been this quiet. I can hear a light click when it kicks on/off but that is it. It’s about as silent as it gets. The heater itself puts of great heat, once it really starts heating up your room you can notice a big difference.
It warms up our living area in decent time and it keeps it consistently warm. I’m able to set it to 73-74 degrees and it keeps our house that warm and without any effort from me. I’m able to plug it in, set it where I want it, and not worry about it.
Overall, I am very pleased with this heater and it has been coming in so handy this month. Keeps us comfortable and warm.

I live in a tiny house & my bedroom is 9X11 ft. During a very cold snap this little heater worked perfectly on its lowest level. It’s 1200W not 1500W & quite small size wise which is a plus. On high this made our room toasty warm.
This unit will not heat your house. They make larger ones for that. It makes a little noise while heating the oil inside but then is silent. Cost wise it didn’t jack up our electrical bill. We didn’t keep it going all night.
Got this product to help reduce my heating cost in the winter. I am very happy with this purchase. A few things I really like about this portable radiator is it has three heat settings and an adjustable thermostat.
In years past, I only had portable heaters that had an on and off switch, so it’s worth the upgrade. Also, this radiator has some nice safety features like the tip-over cutoff switch. I worry about these things with kids and dogs in the house, so I feel better knowing that if they accidently knocked it over the device would shut off.
This is my third Comfort Zone heater! They are great quality products! Always dependable to do the job! This heater will be in my bedroom, so it is the perfect size! Just right if you need a bit extra heat! Would recommend to everyone.

Reviews From Real Customers
I live in a drafty old house that was built in the late 1800s in rural Northern Wisconsin, so I’ve been in desperate need of a space heater for a long time. I’m pleased to report that the NewAir AH-450B oil filled heater is a great way to transform even a drafty room into a cozy living space.
The NewAir is an attractive little unit with an unobtrusive black finish. The heater measures 13″ by 6″ and stands at approximately 25″ high, so it’s small enough to fit in a corner or next to a piece of furniture.
There is almost no assembly out of the box, all you are required to do is attach the rollers with four included butterfly nuts. The unit even comes with a remote control. I have wood flooring in my house, and I’m pleased that I was able to roll the heater across the floor on the included rollers without incurring any scratching.
Also, the wiring in my house is very old, and I’ve had problems in the past with space heaters blowing fuses. I did not have that problem with this unit. The unit features an easy to read display, with large tactile buttons that are highly responsive.
After you turn the heater on, it takes a short while to heat up and does so noiselessly. This is an oil filed heater so there is no electrical smell, and there are no hot coils that pose a fire risk.
The heater does become hot to the touch, but not so that it might burn your skin. Still, you should not cover the heater or leave objects laying on it. The heater can be programmed to turn either off or on using the controls on the display.
There are three heat settings, Low, High, and Eco. Low operates at 900 Watts and High operates at 1,500 Watts. There is no wattage designation for Eco, so it presumably operates at the lowest possible functional wattage.
I ran my unit on the Eco setting and found it was adequate for heating the room. The heat settings across the top are listed at 65, 70, 75, 80 and 85 and the user can toggle through them with the buttons on the face of the unit or on the remote control.
There is also a timer display that reads 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 hours. The unit can be programmed to turn either off or on at these intervals. NewAir AH-450B oil filled heater is an attractive little unit that goes together in a snap and is very easy to operate.
I liked that the rollers don’t scratch the floors and that it is highly programmable. For users who don’t like to fiddle with digital displays, it’s very easy to simply plug in the machine and enjoy the warmth.
This is a good looking, efficient space heater that can help turn any room cozy.
The 1500-Watt TRD50615E De’Longhi radiant heater is a sophisticated portable heater. Featuring a digital control panel and a 24-hour timer with 96 on/off intervals, the TRD50615E delivers powerful, cost-efficient heat while minimizing dryness and allergens.
Designed with 75% more radiant surface area and an advanced convection effect, this oil-filled radiator maximizes and accelerates heat transfer. Enjoy hassle-free portability with ergonomic handles and SmartSnap wheels, as well as safety features like a child lock, tip-over switch, and thermal cut-off.
Finally, optimize energy consumption with ECO, an exclusive feature that regulates power flow and temperature. Color: White.
I’ve had mine for a few days now and I’m very happy with it. It heats my room extremely well, is silent and radiant heat is nicer than the fan-based heater I had previously. The T1/T2 timer seemed complicated when reading, but made a lot of sense when I started programming it.
Hard to explain, wasn’t so hard to use though. My only regret is that the T1/T2 timers don’t support weekend/weekday operation. My usage is for a home office that I would love to put into “T2” operation during the weekend and “T1/T2” during the week.
Not a big deal though as I just use a manually-set temp over the weekend.
I researched heaters to the point of nausea and I finally decided to spend the extra money on this unit. I was very disappointed and felt like something was wrong because they had hardly any heat output.
The controls are very nice with the timer option but I can’t believe the law heat out but it had so I can only conclude that either I had a malfunctioning unit or it’s just doesn’t produce. It is made like a tank and looks fantastic.
I just don’t believe the heat output is anywhere near with the old ones used to be.
I’m impressed with the quality of this full room radiant heater by De’Longhi. Right out of the box, this heater impresses with its stylish and minimal design. It fits in perfectly with our living room decor.
I really love that this has a rust resistant design and digital controls. It’s extremely easy to set up and use. You can even program this with two separate temperatures for day and night. It’s easy to set the temperature, as all you have to do is turn the dial on the panel.
The only downfall of this is that we have to instruct our kids they aren’t allowed to play with the dial, as it is so easy to turn and use. I do like that this doesn’t get too hot to the touch, so that it is pet and kid friendly.
Even so, we strictly instruct our kids to stay away from it but appreciate that it is fairly safe. We have a rancher style home and find that this will evenly heat half of the top floor (living room, foyer, dining room, and kitchen).
This is a quiet and efficient heater that will keep your whole room warm and more.
Comfort Zone The radiator heater is a great way to save money on your heating bills. By lowering the overall temperature of your home or office and simply using this heater to keep the room you are currently occupying comfortably, you can cut your energy usage significantly.
The oil radiator heater’s five-channel design is permanently sealed, and there is no need to worry about refilling it. The electric radiator heater operates silently to minimize disruptions. This makes it quiet enough to leave running even while you’re on the phone, studying or trying to drift off to sleep at night.
Three convenient heat settings and an adjustable thermostat make it easy to control the unit’s output. Simply turn the knobs at the top of the radiator heater to quickly adjust its temperature. A tip-over switch automatically turns the heater off if it is knocked over to help prevent fires, while a built-in sensor helps to prevent the unit from overheating.
A moulded handle makes it easy to transport, and it stays cool while the unit is in use to help prevent burned fingers when you move it between locations. The radiator heater’s compact design allows it to fit into a wide variety of medium-sized spaces with ease.
It comes equipped with convenient built-in cord storage and casters that swivel smoothly in any direction to allow you to quickly roll the heater from one room to another.
I recently got my Comfort Zone CZ8008 Electric Oil Filled Radiator Heater and it has all the bells and whistles!! First of all, it has a grey color that is really stylish to ANY decor. The shape of the radiator channels are really modern looking too.
It has roller casters that swivel and roll with ease. The unit has a handle that is heat resistant for moving to different areas, and keeps my fingers cool to the touch. Has 3 heat settings for a moderate size room.
Has a tip over cut out switch for safety. The oil inside of the radiator cells never need to be refilled, and is ready to go out of the box. It even has a “stash” area to put the power cord for storage.
Heats up my TV room as an addition to my central heating unit. I only have one duct register going to my TV room and it gets cold. This oil filled radiator unit heats up the room really good. So good that I do not use the central heating system as often.
This Comfort Zone CZ8008 oil filled radiator unit is top shelf— like I said, it has all the bells and whistles. Thank you so much Comfort Zone for the great heating unit.
Comfort zone digital oil filled radiator works wonderful. This heater is so neat. It has a nice size digital display panel where you can see the temperature. The numbers are shown are a good size so it’s not hard to read or see the temperature at all.
This heater comes with remote that shows the temperature on it also. The remote controls the increase or decrease of the temperature it also has a standby and a on button. It also has mode, timer, temperature buttons on remote.
When the heaters turn on its so quite you don’t even hear its on. I like that it has four wheels the roll nice and easily across my floors. This heater also stays cool to the touch so you don’t have to worry about burning yourself if you touched it.
And if you tipped it over it comes with a safety cut off switch so the heater will just shut off. I have a medium size room that i used the heater in and it kept my room very comfortable and warm. I am very pleased with this product it does everything it needs to do perfectly.
The build quality is OK at this price point of this small space heater, and functionally it’s OK. But it has a flaw: the power light remains on for all four positions of the switch (Off, Low, Medium, High).
As a result, it uses about 1 Watt of power continuously (as measured using my Kill-o-Watt meter) even while turned completely off, unless you unplug it. Having the power light on continuously also makes it hard to confirm from across the room that you haven’t left the heater turned on.
Not the best design. Also, for the record, the low, medium, and high settings correspond to consumption of about 500, 900, and 1500 Watts.
This heater’s unique design allows heated air to rise faster and gain high speed, producing hotter air than a standard oil-filled radiator. The user-friendly control panel offers an adjustable thermostat and three heat settings to customize your heating needs and optimize energy-efficient operation.
A gently rounded design, and a thermal cut-off function that automatically turns the heater off if it starts to overheat. With its sleek look and silent operation, the oil-filled radiator is the perfect solution to all your heating needs.
Want to feel warm in the cold winter. This 1500W oil filled radiator heater is the perfect choice for you. 600-Watt/900-Watt/1500-Watt as 3 heating mode and adjustable thermostat, this space heater allows you to customize your heating needs for maximum comfort.
and tip-over protection and overheat protection ensure you and your families’ safety. Besides, you can use it when sleeping thanks to its low noise operation and maintenance free design. Made of durable iron, this portable heater can be used for a long time.
and you can move it wherever you want because of its 4 universal and smooth wheels. Color: Black.
This is a good space heater. It’s not as good as an identical looking name brand that I forget the name of, not quite as good at producing heat. But this is much safer a style of heater I my opinion that forced air or others with red glowing heating elements.
Keep in mind this is slow to heat up a room INITIALLY…but once it is going, it offers long lasting warmth for less energy I think than the other kinds. It’s hot to the touch but not as bad as touching one of the other kinds and less of a fire hazard.
I gave it five stars because of the value for the money. But cost aside I would give it four stars.
Bought two because I have a 2 car garage with small office area in back where I have my desktop set up. Plugged them into separate circuits in the backyard and ran them for 6 hrs on (III) (around 40 degrees outside), thermostat all the way up.
No problem. I wanted to burn off the preservative (saw that recommended in remarks) and once inside, there were no fumes. Brought them into the garage and ran both on III turned all the way up on the same circuit (plugged them into outlets on opposite sides of the garage, thinking it was 2 different circuits.
of course it wasn’t), they worked for an hour, then popped the circuit breaker. I cycled the breaker, put them on (II) with thermostat at 1 oclock position, still connected to same circuit, they came back on immediately, after an hour it takes the edge off, not toasty but it’s now 29 degrees outside with un-insulated garage doors.
Thermometer inside garage reads 62 degrees. I’m old and cold-blooded (spent too many years in Alaska and deserts overseas, don’t move around much at 11pm with a beer) so call me fickle. After 1 hr, plugs only slightly warm to touch, so (still on II) I hiked thermostat to full on, still on same circuit.
2 hrs later, no popped breaker, plugs slightly warm, 28 outside, inside garage is tolerable, not short-sleeved tolerable, but comfortable for a garage with a beer and a desktop. I can’t speak to longevity of these units, just got them today.
So far, I’m impressed. I think if they were going to fail, they would have failed when put on (III) w/ thermostat all the way up for 6 hrs. They didn’t, so if I keep them off of (III), I think I will have these for a while, and my garage should be good for the winter.
I might even put them on separate cicuits and go for broke. Cheers.
Very please with this purchase. I needed a quiet, adjustable, energy efficient/low cost heater for my bedroom/bathroom area (about 250 sq ft). This accomplished all the above. It only took about 20 minutes to really start to feel the warmth.
I have an app on my phone that shows the indoor temp and I could see a fairly stead/fast rise in temp. Yes, it does make some clicking sounds when warming up. this is normal for oil filled radiator heaters.
After reading up, this mild annoyance will subside and end soon. After a few uses I am seeing a big reduction is the clicks. There seems to be improvement over some older models as some reviews of other similar items will have complaints about the lack of heating ability.
I found this model have plenty of heating power, even on medium and low settings. The high setting for my needs is overkill. But, to start off you should start off on high and then lower the settings.
There is a low/medium and high nob, as well as a dial that allows for even more flexibility in your heating needs. It also looks well made and not cheap. For under $50 it’s a steal. Some fancy, more expensive models have a lot more bells and whistles, but I have no need for that.
I’ve only used this a handful of times but I felt compelled to write a few positive words.
HomCom When the weather starts to turn icy, you’ll need a heater to warm you up from the cold. Our oil-filled radiator will keep your bedroom or home office warm throughout the day. Highly adjustable, there are 3 heat settings (low, medium, and high) to adjust how you need it.
Take this radiator heater around the house with the easy pull wheels at the bottom. Sleep soundly with a 24-hour timer, so you decide when it turns off even when you’re not awake. Stay cozy this winter.
I bought the heater just before Christmas. It was delivered quickly but when I opened it to set it up, I found the instruction booklet had been really badly translated into English so was almost impossible to understand.
Luckily I had owned a similar heater before so understood the controls. The heater worked fine for a couple of weeks but then it just stopped working. I contacted Robert Dyas to ask for a refund but was told that returning the heater had to be done using a certain process (which in my opinion does not have the customer at the heart of it!) and this would take up to five days.
Meanwhile, my 92 year old extremely frail and vulnerable mother has been left without the additional heating she needs so I’m having to use a cheap, expensive to run connector heater which is far from ideal.
I’m still waiting to hear from Robert Dyas. It’ been 4 days so I’ll obviously have to chase them again. All I want is a refund for a faulty product, so I can buy a heater that works so keeps my mother warm.
I’m really disappointed with both the heater and the service. If I could give no stars, I would.
This is a problematic piece of equipment. It appears to be poorly designed and manufactured. Very confusing and hard to understand user manual, using strange terms like “Appointments”!! When did we see consumer appliances/machines working by appointments?! It’s riddled with malfunctions and problems.
One of the most remarkable is the absence of any light indicators when the machine is on and working. Also, parts are not sturdy and wheels easily fall apart.
This is the second oil filled heater I have bought from Robert Dyas. The first one (half the size) was more than ten (10) years ago. It is still working fine. The new Etna has been doing its job with flying colours – as you would expect from a “kid”.
I expect it to last longer than the first. So far, so good!.
