Purchased 4 numbers, the 2 and the 4 would not accept the screws. Either the holes are slightly too big or Vice versa. Went back to store for screws that would actually screw into the numbers from other packs however was only successful on the 4 and the 2 was unsuccessful despite trying many screws from other packs.

Will now need to travel across the city to another Lowe’s location to see if any of their sets will work for the 2. Tip, the screws should not provide significant resistance and should be able to complete by hand.

Do NOT use pliers to screw in as the screws are made of a weaker material and will snap. i do not recommend this product unless you are in close proximity to the store to easily get a replacement number in the event you get a bad number (50% in my case).

These house #s were extremely easy to mount onto my fence; just a level, a pencil & a drill gave me perfectly aligned #s that are easily seen. I found that the black finish came off of the screws with installation.

It’s not all that noticeable & not really worth mentioning when a permanent marker or a daub of paint can easily fix it but I did deduct a star because of it.

Great looking door numbers, sophisticated, hip and at a great price point. Look great ‘flush’. The if you want to ‘float’ them know that part between the wall and the number is stainless rather that black.

Wouldn’t look good unless you painted that piece black.

First off, for the price its a great deal. The nut, spring,bolt to tighten and loosen the scale is kind of crappy, but after a little file work to clean up the threads its working ok. It is pretty perpendicular within.

005 /. 007 and for general / non-critical layout and gaging its just a handy tool to have. Again its no Starrett, but its the tenth of the cost and if it disappears its not a big deal.

This Numberblocks activity set has been a great thing for my kiddos. I have a 1-year-old son, a 3-year-old daughter, and a 5-year-old daughter. My 5-year-old is about to start kindergarten and had only learned the names of numbers 1-10 in Pre-k, but hadn’t quite started to learn about their values, We started watching Numberblocks over the summer and she fell in love with it! Then we received this activity set as a gift and she loves building the characters and counting the blocks.

My 3-year-old is also enjoying being able to hold the characters and take them apart and count as she goes. This has been such a fun way to get my girls excited and curious about numbers and counting, The show is very cute and the songs make it easy for them to remember things, but to physically have all of these little characters in hand and be able to take them apart and rebuild them has been such a game changer.

I can see my girls starting to understand numbers and their values and ti is so cool to watch!.

I have both sets of the number blocks and I mostly love them. The kids like them because of the numberblocks on TV and they are a great manipulative for explaining math problems. One complaint is that the blocks don’t connect well, basically you only get one option on which side you can attach another block on.

I don’t understand that. But still a worthwhile set. If you plan on buying only one of the sets, buy the 11 to 20 set as you can make the 1 to 10 characters from that also. But it is useful to have both sets.

My daughter loves the numberblocks series on YouTube. I think we’ve watched every episode at least 3 times. However, I realized it was teaching her so many things! She absolutely loves this activity set.

It’s helped us find a fun way to practice math over the summer. It has kept her occupied for hours without getting boring. She’s able to play with it on its own, play along with the series on her tablet, or use the included number cards.

I have used these little squares to affix my pictures in my scrapbooks. I have tried other products and always return to these. They are easy to use and stay stuck to the page, although it is possible to lift and reposition if necessary.

I have used these double sided adhesive mounting squares for my scrap booking projects and love them. Quick and easy to use, and leave my photos, and papers nice and secure.

I use Photo Splits in rubber stamping. I put them on just the corners of artwork I am putting on cards. Use an ATG gun, tape runner for the sides etc. For a secure corner, you can’t beat these.

When it comes to a simple and long established tool like this there’s not much to differentiate among competitors, but I did find one feature. Extremely easy to read – the laser etched markings on the high contrast anodized surface are well defined and are in sharp focus, and I’m confident they will remain that way for a very long time.

You’ll see right away why Empire refers to them as “HD”. This is a big improvement over the traditional stamped markings that are then painted over or the silkscreened markings on a painted surface which are indistinct and wear away quickly.

It’s funny how sight and memory work, but for whatever reason when I reference one of these “HD” marks, look away to check square or whatever, then look back to it, my eye seems to go right back to the correct mark where as on the indistinct painted over stamped markings I hunt and repeat to make sure I have it right.

Kind of like how your eye is drawn the more distinct longer graduations at the 1/4 inch points on a tape measure. Finally, although I’m sure its not, it looks and feels like its machined from a single billet of aluminum rather than stamped and welded pieces of sheet metal for whatever that’s worth.

I really do like this square. However, Empire needs to machine indents like the Swanson so I can easily mark quick rips down a board. The lip that aligns square with the board is deeper than the Swanson and can either be a blessing or a curse depending on the situation.

Finally, the aluminum feels soft. Mine already has a few chips/dents that my fellow carpenters’ Swanson seems to be missing. Maybe that’s just bad luck?.

This is a really well-made product. It’s constructed out of cast aluminum so it’s sturdy, but not so heavy that it will be difficult to mount. I’ve received many compliments from friends on ours. Highly recommended.

I have other speed squares, but this one is the highest quality of any I have used. In working with wood, getting accurate 90 and 45 degree angles is of utmost importance. This speed square is spot on.

The cast aluminum and plastic squares are fine for rough carpentry, but this square approaches Woodpeckers quality at a much more affordable price.

Built my first shed and roof. Couldn’t have without use of this too. One word of caution: it is much larger than 6″ square so it won’t fit most tool belt pockets. Also, you best have some gloves if you leave this in the sun for even a minute.

Really good quality square. The graduations are not indented so I’m a little concerned that they may get scratched off, but seams to be holding up really well. I’ve always used Swanson till now. It’s a lot easier to quickly find your mark.

Gosh, when asked to write a review about a piece of plastic that just sits there, it’s hard to know what to say. It has a right angle, easy to read ridges, is durable enough, and will probably never degrade in a landfill… ever! Yeah, if that’s what you need, this tool is it.

Does any of that make sense? Because writing a review for this feels obtuse. And speaking of obtuse, did I mention the angle? RIGHT!.

I love that this is lightweight and durable. I find that this is one of the tools I use the most frequently in woodworking. Pros: Lightweight, Durable, Bright color makes it easy to find Cons: Sometimes it is hard to see the lines for measurements.

I used a marker to draw in the indentations for the most frequently used measurements and that helped to make them more visible.

I’m used to inexpensive combination squares being slightly off to very off, which is why I usually stick to framing squares for determining how perfect a right angle is. There is a simple test to checking if a square is square: • clamp down a straight edge (e.

g. , yard stick or level). • Place the short side of the framing square against the straight edge. • Use a really sharp pencil to draw a line on the other long side of the square • Flip the square over so that the short side is still placed against the straight edge.

• Draw a new line along the long side of the square. If both your lines are parallel, you have a square that is, well, actually square. I bought one of these squares and was off by more than a 1/8 th of inch.

Thinking this one was a lemon, I did two exchanges and they all failed the test as well. This square might be okay for very rough carpentry, but there’s no way I can recommend them for putting together shelves or cabnets.

Product is cheap for a carpenter square but you get what you pay for. If you just need to make straight lines, roughly check for 90 degrees or do non precision measurements then this ruler will do the trick.

If you need to do anything the requires any sort of precision, then this one is not for you, Empire’s “True Blue” line is much better. The ruler has a significant round over on the edges of the ruler so it is hard to get accurate measurements when there is a weird gap in between the ruler and the piece you are measuring.

Has anyone at Canadian Tire tried getting that damned sticker off? If you care about your customers don’t put a sticker on a product that takes 20 minutes and a pile of aggravation to get off.

A fine speed square, all it’s piped up to be. I tested it squareness and it was very close to perfectly square — certainly better than needed for framing construction. I like the red color making it easier to find.

The markings are exceptionally clear given the good contrast between red and white (so much better than the all silver colored ones. Highly recommended.

This is a great rafter square, pefect for sticking in doorways for making them square. Downside the magnets pick up every little thing in your toolbelt or toolbox. Usually having you to clean it off before you can use it.

I had to purchase a square to replace an old one I could no longer read. I love Milwaukee and was happy to see this in the store. Great quality and easy to read numbers. Yet another great Milwaukee purchase.

I always thought speedsquares made these obsolete; I bought this mainly to have a thin pry bar for inside liner steel. Since buying it though, I’ve found myself using it more than my speedsquare, simply because it is easier to access from my belt.

It’s an accurate tool, but it is made in India if that kind of thing bothers you.

I use this for small leather projects. I think it’s wonderful. Easy to read and small so I can work with it easy on my table. Also, it’s not real heavy. It’s the perfect weight.

use this all the time on just about everything, from setting up tools and checking items for square during assembly. Will buy a 6″ in the near future.

Well made and very useful for setting table saw blade 90 degrees relative to table. Also useful for trueing miter saw blade to fence. Being able to quickly cut material plumb or square is nice. I recommend this to woodworkers.

It is a square. It is square. It seems to last okay. Not the greatest tool to transfer measurements around corners, but that is inherent in the design. This tool goes with me everywhere in the shop, can’t imagine not having it close by.

Good enough has the hooks and math all attached. You wont look silly buying this item on a jobsite. Definitely can be a problem. It covers the bases. If you need one buy it

I use this product at work, we do a lot of building in movies production. And I’m one of the carpenters that help build movie sets so this product helps me measure Precise measurements.

Works as a speed square should. The numbers were a bit hard to see, everything blended so to brighten them up I used a sharpie and highlighted them and now they really stand out.

I’ve been looking to replace a Stanley I had from my dad from over 60 years ago and lost parts. My work doesn’t require super accuracy but I hated the ‘new’ less expensive ones on-line or at the big box stores.

This combination square is a nice weight and finished well. Arrived with an inspection/accuracy slip in the box, lightly oiled and bagged. Very pleased.

Balloon itself was nice. Was not filled properly. 4 hours after I picked it up from the store it had started to noticeably deflate. By the following morning it was laying on the floor. I had to tape it to the wall before my son saw it.

The numbers look great on our team shirts. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! One additional step I took when placing the numbers was using a heavy book to set on the shirt during the last step to let it be flat for 24 hours after applying the numbers.

I also never dry my shirt in the dryer to avoid peeling. My teammates that did not follow the directions no longer have readable numbers on their shirts. Follow the instructions, and you will be happy with the outcome.

It may be of interest to note that I used the numbers on polyester athletic shirts.

Disappointed to say the least. I purchased 3 packs to make shirts for a softball team for a benefit tournament. Ironed them on as directed and before we even got to play 1/2 the numbers were coming off.

Great product. Iron on and followed instructions and it was easy. Washed shirt 4x since then and numbers are just as bright as when I first put them on.
