23 Best Non Slip Shoes For Wide Feet (2023 Updated)

I rarely write reviews but I feel I need to for these shoes. I have severely flat feet. My arches are always swollen and my feet always hurt. I’ve had many different types of expensive prescription orthotics and they never seem to help any more than the store bought ones to be honest.

This shoe is the most comfortable one I’ve had. The pain in the top of my foot is almost gone and the plastic inserts give me just enough support. My arches aren’t aching like they use to. I work at a Y as a wellness coach so I have a closet full of various workout shoes but these are my favorite and the only ones I want to wear anymore.

I bought the black, then the turquoise and will probably be buying the pink. They have truly been a game changer for me! Please continue to make more colors! I am a 9 and usually size up to a 9. 5 for athletic shoes but I probably could have sized up to a 10 and used the inserts they give you.

If you’re in between, I would suggest doing that.

I’m a hot mess. Foot pain, pronation, back pain, scoliosis, hip pain, and of course rotten, old arthritic knees (guess mama was right – I spent way too much time on them in my youth). Pardon me dirty man – I’m talking about 42 years of skating, hockey, cheerleading, paintball, basketball, volleyball, jumping off roofs – don’t ask why.

it takes it’s toll. Anyway – 50’s creep up and it got to where I couldn’t take my poor puppy around the block for a walk without feeling excruciating pain somewhere, everywhere. He was not a happy puppy.

I hit rock bottom on the activity scale – so I bought a pair of Verve’s – and “oh boy” that hit the spot! Within a few weeks, I was wearing out my Great Dane – going for miles and running him crazy around the dog park – sometimes twice a day.

Now, my Dane’s worn out, and I can’t get enough. No sir – you dirty, dirty man – from exercising. (ick). I’ve since bought Tahoe, Coral and Naples. And they’re all great. So much better than the “bums” I used to get.

But Verve. my my my. will always hold a very, very special place in my heart. I’ll definitely being hitting up Verve again.

I would say Orthofeet goes the extra mile in making sure they offer a well made shoe. The added insoles are a great idea in the event the shoe has more room than needed to fit the feet. I didn’t need them but I did add the arch support.

Have worn them for my daily power walks as well as around the house. They’ve worked out perfectly. My only reason for four stars rather than five is that somehow I missed these shoes have accents of what looks like patent leather.

Not a fan of the shiny. Guess it works for others. I will read the description and study the photos a little more carefully before ordering next time. Other than that one thing I can highly recommend these shoes.

IšverstiShow in original languageI have had a pair of these in black for a while and they are the most comfortable footwear I think I have ever owned. They come up a tiny but large but I think most trainers do and it allowed me to put a memory insole in to add to the comfort underfoot.

I was so pleased when I found the same trainer in white and the fit/comfort of these are no different. However I’m a little disappointed in the shade of white. They do have a tinge of grey about them.

Another review stated they were a ‘clean’ white but I have to disagree. They look to me like they have been washed with a black sock. Nothing too offensive, I’m just a fan of pure white trainers. I will still keep them due to the comfort factor.

Silly me presumed I would be able to Bluetooth my steps to my phone or something but these just seem to be plain skecher trainers with a platform and anti slip sole? Flat insole with no arch support like skechers have started doing on their premium shoes but these are advertised on the box as workwear shoes so surprised that’s missing?! They feel…ok but not amazingly comfortable.

Still not sure if I’m keeping them, once I figure out what’s haptic about them I may be pleasantly surprised and no there’s no battery dept in the platform soles either?! I’m usually a 6 but 5 fit perfectly btw.

IšverstiShow in original languageThese are the best non slip work sneakers I ever wore. I work on my feet over 8 hours I am over 55 and I have tried every name brand sneaker you can think of. I have about 10 pairs of unused nonslip sneakers sitting in my closet.

All the unused sneakers killed my feet with blisters and soreness. After wearing these for over 10 hours my feet feel wonderful! Don’t hesitate to buy these they are truly the best work sneaker ever! I am actually buying another pair right now because I don’t want them to discontinue this style.

I have been wearing these shoes for about 6 weeks. I wanted a a larger toe box without going to an extra wide shoe and this pair is perfect. However, the memory foam inserts have worn out and are being replaced by a pair of Dr Scholl’s.

I normally replace inserts right away, but the included inserts felt good so I tried them out.

I have relied on Sketchers to provide comfort and quality for years. I purchased my last pair in 2017 and still wear them. Properly designed and fitting footwear is import to me as I am a diabetic and protecting my feet from sores is paramount as it may be life altering if I don’t do just that.

I have bought a few pair of these shoes from Shoe Carnival. They were the most comfortable shoes I have ever had. These are not. Don’t know why. I ordered the same size and number. These feel not wide enough and too short.

Will not order these agaIn.

IšverstiShow in original languageThis is the perfect work shoes that I’ve always been looking for. Very comfortable and runs not too big, neither too small on my foot. The cushion parts inside are nice.

They are soft and bouncy enough just to support me all day during my long shift at work. Highly recommend to people who are looking for a pair of work shoes. I did go half size bigger than my normal shoes size as I found it more comfortable.

In addition, they are have demonstrated great durability despite being worn constantly. Overall, very satisfied with these shoes and would highly recommend!.

IšverstiShow in original languageI needed non-slip leather shoes for work and have worn out 3 comfortable pairs of non-slip leather sketchers. These shoes are the correct length for my foot, however, the toes are too pointy and for some reason, they have caused me so much pain in my feet and the back of my heels that I can barely walk.

Also, after only 2 months of (agonising) wearing, all the so-called leather upper is peeling off. I am so disappointed with these shoes.

So here we go. I’ve been coming to terms with my own mortality and have realized that as I’m puttering around the house it really would benefit my knees to have something a bit more substantial on my tootsies, and so I searched high and low to eventually decide upon and purchase the Merrell Encore Ice.

These mocs are what my feet have been dreaming of. How do I know? They told me. I purchased these almost exactly one year ago and I have LIVED in these shoes (slippers? no, they’re beefier and way more supportive than that).

Yes, I even wear them in summatime because A/C is magical and my feet run cold anyway. They’ve almost become a security blanket of sorts for me. If I don’t put them on first thing in the morning then it throws off my vibe.

They age well, are supportive, comfy, and sort of make me feel like my parents, which isn’t a bad thing because apparently, they know what’s up. Oh, I also recently wore these camping and they are the BEST camp shoe.

I’ll probably get another pair just for that. P. S. The new Stank will go away after a bit. Also, wear some thin socks or something with these bad boys. Otherwise, you aren’t going to be happy when little insoles keep slipping out every time you try to remove your sweat-soaked foot (they warm).

IšverstiShow in original languageI’ve worn Encore Breeze for years, first the Q2 because of the “made for women” to help prevent knee and foot problems, then the Encore Breeze 3. Unfortunately, the Encore Breeze 4 does not have the cushioning, support, substantial soles, or arch support that these previous models did.

In fact, my Breeze 3’s which are tattered and the sole is coming off still have more support than my new Breeze 4’s. On the Merrell website when looking at their section of shoes to wear around town vs close to home, the Breeze are in the “close to home” section.

$100. 00 is a lot to pay for a house shoe. Disappointed. I hope the next model will go back to the better support, stability, hthicker cushioned sole, and arch support the previous models have. I have a fairly narrow foot and the M width fits very well; many other brands of shoes are extremely wide in a M width.

Merrell’s fit perfectly! I will try an orthotic insole or perhaps Spenco insoles to try to increase the components of the shoe. I also have Plantar Fasciitis and this shoe isn’t good for that as is.

IšverstiShow in original languageThese shoes, mostly the left shoe has been my constant companion since I broke my right leg. I wore the shoes to the doctor’s office to get x-rays, and for the week I was waiting for surgery I wore the left shoe because I had a cast on my right foot.

I kept wearing the left shoe, because my doctor didn’t want me to go barefoot or to just wear a sock on my good foot. I didn’t want to slip and my Encore Nova 4 kept me sure footed while I hopped around on the left foot for 4-6 weeks while the surgery was healing.

Then when I could finally put weight on the right foot I had to wear the boot/cast. I was so relieved to start walking in shoes again and my Encore Nova 4 wide width was the perfect shoe with good support for me to wear.

They are classic shoes that can be casual or semi-dressy. I love my Encore Nova 4 wide width so much I needed a new pair since that was literally the only shoes I wore for six months. I also took them on vacation where I did a ton of walking in North & South Carolina and in Georgia.

These shoes are my faves.

IšverstiShow in original languageI haven’t worn them yet but I tried them on and they seem to fit perfectly so far. I initially bought way too big and had to exchange. The thought of exchange stresses me out but the process was easy and stress free.

The customer service was great and I received my shoes quickly with both the original purchase and the exchange. Just realize that with unisex the size is mens so compensate for that if you are female as I had to.

IšverstiShow in original languageThese shoes are comfortable. Unfortunately they don’t come in a 6 1/2 size and my heals slip. The lining on the back continuously wear out within a week due to constant slipping.

This is not a problem with the shoe, but rather the size. If the padding on the bottom causes blisters, the seam can be taken out leaving the foot bed smooth.

IšverstiShow in original languageThe insoles are amazing! Like walking on pillows. Shoes are a bit too firm at the ankle and not very flexible overall. Great shoe for standing, but needs significant breaking in for a job with a lot of movement and walking.

IšverstiShow in original languageBest work shoe ever. I have a hard time finding and buying shoes that do not hurt my foot. I bought these shoes because the name brand I get has always been good , but I needed a shoe that I will be on my feet for 10 hours straight.

I went to Shoe Carnival because I could try them for a day and if for any reason I didn’t like them I could bring them back as long as it was within the next 30 days. Nope kept them and love them extremely comfortable.

IšverstiShow in original languageI have worn these work shoes for about 2. 5 weeks, I have been dealing with sudden intense foot pain and have gone through several pairs of shoes or more in attempts to eliminate the pain in my arches even to the extend of purchasing various insoles proclaiming to help.

I have found the side support around the outer portion, the thickness of the bottoms and the overall comfort and support of the upper is tremendous! I at first felt they were a little oversized but the fact that the foot pain is gone makes me think I have been mis sizing my shoes even with help from shoe associates! I purchased these on line without fitting them at the store and have to say I am profoundly impressed with the elimination of foot and leg pain!.

IšverstiShow in original languageShoes fit true to size. A little stuffing the beginning and needed some breaking in but I feel that is to be expected with a work shoe. Have been wearing them M-F all day at work for about 2 weeks now & they seem to be holding up well.

I did add some Dr. Scholl’s inserts for overall fit but that is because I am between sizes often, so I don’t fault the shoes for that. I rated only 4 stars only over cost as I feel they are a bit overpriced for what they are & feel I mainly was paying for the brand name but I needed a new pair right away & didn’t really have a lot of time to shop around.

Overall, I would recommend these & will possibly buy another pair when I need a replacement.

IšverstiShow in original languageI bought these shoes specifically for the slip-resistant sole. The fact they have a protective toe cap and ESD features are not terribly important to me, but worthwhile features nonetheless.

I have narrow feet with a high arch and these fit fine. I am accustomed to using insoles to add arch support to work or sport shoes. Adding insoles to match my foot profile definitely made these shoes more comfortable.

According to the documentation with the shoes, the ESD feature goes away without using the stock insole. But again, not an important feature to me. I’ve been wearing these shoes for about a month and I’ve not detected any break-in period and they seem well-built and tougher than a NB running shoe.

I drive a car hauler truck which requires walking around of the body of the truck. The non-slip feature is noticeable and a welcome feature. I also walk around on lots of asphalt and concrete and these seem as comfortable as any sneaker-type shoe.

IšverstiShow in original languageI’ve had this shoe for over a year and wore them everyday. Here is my opinion. After being a loyal NB customer for years I took a chance on their work shoes and at first they were what you would expect.

Shoe is very comfortable for wearing for hours on concrete floors. However, after a year they simply did not last. Both of the shoes have roles in them after the “toe protect” logo area meets the main body of the shoe at the sole As time has gone on more holes have appeared again in both shoes.

Left shoe has hole on the inner part also and right has hole on top after the toe protection. Left sole is starting to separate too! Its not like these were heavily abused either as I work in the parts department of a car dealership and am on and off my feet all day.

For the price I expected better quality and them to last longer. Worst part is the soles show no/ minimal wear. Would not purchase again.

IšverstiShow in original languageI bought this pair of shoes in Sept. 2019, along with the grey 412v1s with the Alloy Toe. They are great for walking, but I have found they particularly shine if you do a lot of standing, particularly if you are clumsy like me and drop things on your toes frequently.

Either pair would work very well in a restaurant and/or manufacturing setting. I wear at least one pair (black and grey) every day and almost 3 years later both pairs are still going strong. I have been much harder on this black pair compared to the grey pair, but I have zero complaints.

When I need to buy more shoes, these will definitely be on that list.

IšverstiShow in original languageVery attractive. Beautiful quality. I like that it has a raised heel. Many nice touches for trim. These shoes run large. I ordered 8. 5 wide and they were too long and too wide.

I exchanged for 8 wide and they fit nicely in the arch and toes, but my heel slips. The back of the shoe is still too lose, but I’ll keep them anyway. The zipper is good for me because I have a high instep and it helps.

IšverstiShow in original languageThese are the single most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. Great arch support, very light, perfect elevation in the heel. AND I almost missed them in the store. I was shopping for loafers, which apparently no longer exist, and was settling for some flats.

On the way to checkout I spotted a display with these gems. Better than loafers, better than flats!.

IšverstiShow in original languageI have bought similar Bzees in the past, this is my third pair of this design. They have clearly downgraded materials in the sole. Smells like cheap plastic, doesn’t have the bounce they used to.

The mold has an imperfection. I would pay more to get the quality, the smell makes me wary of wearing these to places aesthetics matter. Still quite comfortable and they come in my hard to find size.

I was really impressed with the TredSafe slip resistant shoes. I am retired and no longer actively employed and, fortunately, don’t have to be on my feet for hours on end. But I am a senior citizen who suffers from foot pain and who must be very careful with my footing so as to avoid injury and possible broken bones caused by falls.

The TredSafe Grace non-slip soles are fantastic. The shoe is well made but lightweight and the cushioned anti-fatigue insole is quite comfortable. I do replace insoles quite often abd might opt for a replacement with a tad bit more arch support.

If you are a worker whose job requires hours on your feet or a senior citizen such as myself who just needs a comfortable slip-resistant and affordable shoe, I suggest you check these out for yourself.

I need black, slip resistant shoes for work. Doesn’t matter what the design is other than those two factors. These are probably the best I have gotten in my 12 years on the job. They aren’t heavy, so it’s easy to walk around in them.

I did buy one size too big so I could fit my insoles in them. Which fits perfectly by the way. They are also nice for long periods of standing. And from one day to the next I could be doing either one depending on what work I am doing.

Good price too, I don’t have much of a budget. Arrived ina very sturdy cardboard shoe box so no worries about them getting damaged in any way during transit.
