20 Best No See Mouse Traps (2023 Updated)

All I can say is wow!!! This product is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! This product out does TomCat! I called them and complained and left a review saying we had already caught 7 mice with another product (your product) and absolutely nothing with theirs! I’ve already bought 10 and I’m actually going to be purchasing more in just a few minutes! I love that it’s a humane trap too!.

Works well, repeatedly catching mice in our basement and kitchen. The clear plastic lets you see at a glance whether you have caught a mouse or not. The springs wore out after a couple years but, since we found this trap more effective than two others we’d tried, we decided to buy this same model again.

I bought this mousetrap because a bigger one I previously bought failed to catch a mouse in my Parents’ house. Upon receiving this, I inspected it. The first thing I noticed was that there was hardly any ventilation.

That scared me because I wanted to catch the mouse and keep him alive so I can set it free elsewhere. I read other reviews on this mousetrap claiming that their mouse had suffocated to death inside. I can see why.

To solve the problem, I used a thin drillbit to drill a bunch of small holes in the top of the trap to create more ventilation. I then baited it with peanut butter and put it in the space the mouse moved through each night.

Low and behold within an hour, I heard the “snap” and checked the mousetrap to find the little critter inside. I took him a distance from my house and set him free. Mission accomplished.

My motorhome is a prime target for mice and pack rats. I have a total of 18 of these traps and find them effective. I also use the knesse sticky boards inside the trap. I place them by each wheel and 4 in side the RV.

It is not uncommon to empty each trap of 3 to 4 mice at a time every 2 weeks. The other traps are other buildings. Since I have pets poison is not and option.

In my local vicinity, I went to four different farm/seed stores and ended up purchasing their smallest live trap, as I knew this year that they had found access into my house. However, the trap purchased, though an extra-small, was far too large for tiny mice, and the trap was always empty, though missing the bait.

Next to Walmart online. This small container, was more enclosed and therefore, did not allow for escaping. It is solid, sturdy and allows for easy release. The only reason it didn’t warrant a five star rating, was that the interior door will often slam shut on the little critter’s foot or tail.

Don’t care to maim them before releasing them.

Baited with dog food and a peanut butter cracker, had a catch overnight in my garage. Protects the vette interior. Teamed with a tin cat style, both caught 1 mouse each same bait. The tin cat is as effective but this allows for a much easier release without mice jumping all over terrified, This unit has a sliding vertical release door making release a breeze!.

My backyard is a nature reserve, we have a bird feeder that is also attractive to mice. Mice have chewed through the wires in the outdoor AC unit and nested in the wiring box. Trap works perfectly each time, we set it up just outside the AC unit on the path to bird feeder.

I hate having to dispose of them like this, have built a live catch bucket type trap before, but I don’t always have the time or means to keep taking them to the nature center a couple miles out where they are let loose in the captive predatory bird enclosure anyway.

This is more humane than letting them suffer in sticky traps and this is reusable, has caught 2 in as many days already. Might just get a few more because last year I caught 4 in the live trap: there are always more than you know hiding about.

Birds eat bugs and help pollinate in my yard. Birds get to stay. Mice gotta go.

I saw a mouse in my kitchen and went to Ace and got these based on the reviews. I set both traps I got and next morning one looked like the spring was up but I couldn’t tell if there was a catch for sure.

I’m very scared of mice so I had to wait for someone to come and check the trap. In the meantime I was going to make tea and a freaking mouse ran out I almost died! So naturally I thought there was no catch and it was a false trigger.

Couple hours later muster up enough courage to get the other trap that I know for sure doesn’t have a catch and I added bait(cheese). I walked from the kitchen to the front door and I heard it snap. It was literally within 2 minutes.

Had a friend come by and there was a catch in both traps. I was horrified and relieved at the same time. These traps work like a charm. Going to buy more tomorrow just in case.

Two nights ago I caught the first glimpse of a mouse trying to take up camp under the baseboard heaters in my tiny apartment. I wasn’t sure the best option to get rid of the pest, so I went to ACE the next day, they recommended I try this trap, and after having the trap out for a few hours last night (w/ PB as bait), the mouse was caught.

The snap of the trap wasn’t very loud so at first I thought it was a misfire, but nope. It caught the mouse. Because the mouse was a little long/fat, the tail and back paws stuck out of the moveable part of the cover and moved as it was dying, so that was super unpleasant to see.

And because I could see the back of the mouse I thought it wasn’t going to die and slip out. I checked the trap this morning and yep, mouse was dead! The box does, by the way, advertise it will capture/fit mice of any size.

So at least I can contest that this trap will capture a bigger mouse. The only thing I would say about this product that might be problematic is that the all flimsy plastic design can make it very sensitive when setting it up.

I would recommend the trap is in the exact place you’d like it to be on the ground before pulling back the lever to set the trap up. Hopefully this is the only mouse I have to deal with but the trap is out again, just in case.

I hate to review something like a mousetrap, but these work so well I figured others might want to know. Over the years, we’ve had plenty of mice try to take up residence in our house–after all, it was built in the middle of a field.

This type trap works better than anything I’ve tried so far, and I’ve tried a few solutions. If you’re interested, here’s what we’ve tried (it’s a little graphic, so you may not want to read on). I have tried trapping them and releasing them outdoors, but they were scooped up by birds, etc.

I have tried the wedges of poison pellets, but they were hit and miss — certain kinds of mice seemed resistant; they would just grab up the poison pellets and move it to our laundry hamper, or climb up the walls with it and deposit it in winter coat pockets, etc.

I didn’t like the idea of pets or grandkids coming in contact with it. And worst of all, I did have an instance in which a mouse bled out on my kitchen floor, which was kind of horrifying. I have long used traditional wooden traps and just thrown them away with the mice, but always procrastinated about setting them out because I had to be careful to set them up on a newspaper then place them without setting them off.

If you don’t stay on top of it, the mice will quickly procreate and then you are dealing with having to catch even more mice. And recently, I had problems with a couple mice being caught but not killed, and dragging the trap all over the house (shudder).

I hate killing the poor little things but cleaning up unsanitary mouse droppings is not OK. I don’t want to torture them though. These are very effective, and very strong, so I think they’re the best solution so far.

Here’s the procedure I follow? I place the traps (baited with a little peanut butter) at a baseboard near a food storage area, on top of newspaper, with the catching area closest to the baseboard. I also smear little bits on the newspaper to enhance the smell.

When the mouse has been caught, I use a paint stick to pull the paper away from the baseboard. I open up a plastic grocery bag, pick up the “clean” end of the trap, and squeeze the trap over the grocery bag to release the mouse.

I probably don’t have to, but I rinse the trap over the sink and wash the sink with hot water, dish soap and vinegar afterward. The key is to immediately reset the trap and put it back–unless you’re hosting a party or something.

I bought a couple of these mouse traps years ago from another place. When I typed in “mouse trap” to search for some I was thrilled to see the exact same Intruder mouse traps I had before. I think a rat got into one once and ran off with it.

The other one I gave to a friend. I was using the old style metal ones this past year, and really didn’t like that whole mess. Boy was I jacked to see the Intruders, and I got them for half price on sale! I purchased two 2-packs.

A buddy recommended these and they work FANTASTIC but you MUST READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND PLACE THEM 90-DEGREES AGAINST A WALL. I picked up a single-serving tub of peanut butter and designate that for the traps.

Easy to release dead mice into a trash bag with one hand. I highly recommend – you won’t believe how many mice you actually have until you start using them!.

I way trying to catch mice in my attic for several days in a cage and also wooden mousetrap but mice ate peanut butter and ran around. I put out 2 Intruders with a little peanut butter and in less than 24 hours I got all four mice.

I highly recommend Intruder!.

The day after I ordered this product from this company, my credit card had a $162 charge attempted. Four more attempts were made the following day. All unauthorized charges. My card was locked, the account cancelled and a new card requested.

This is on a credit card that I keep locked in a safe since I do not use it. It had not been used for over three months prior to this company so it was very obvious where the fraud originated. No matter how good a product may be, it is not worth the trouble the company caused.

I really don’t have an issue with these traps as much as I have issue with my mouse! He seems smarter than any trap I have purchased. These traps are made very well and should be able to catch your everyday ordinary mouse, however my mouse is extraordinary as I haven’t been able to catch him no matter what I have tried, ie- wood traps, sticky papers, live traps, etc.

In short well made product that should be able to work.

This mousetrap is easy to set. I don’t worry about snapping my fingers. The yellow top lets you know immediately if you have a catch.

Awesome product! Easy to use, extremely effective, and the VERY bare minimum in clean-up and disposal. One last thing. Not to be a downpour, but hopefully a mitigation in understanding their reasons not to sell replacement rings.

Viewing the product itself, as a whole unit {with6or12rings. Iforgot}, the purchase price, and the expected/given results when utilized; we can understand the reason they don’t sell the rings separately.

If they sold replacement rings, it would be a disadvantage on their end. Going from a, comparatively meager, $X⬆️-$X⬆️per unit to averaging a very low $X⬇️-$X⬇️ per replacement ring set on a constant basis.

Essentially, hustlin backwards.

Impossible to set the trap because the plastic tip that holds down the spring flap is too shallow. It holds for a few seconds then releases. Kept at it for 20 minutes, eventually tried using super glue to extend the plastic tip, but would not hold.

Very poorly made and a total waste of money. I didn’t really want to kill the mouse, but 12. 00 was enough to waste on this effort. if you want a humane trap intended to catch and release, buy something else.

This Mouse Trap works like a Champ. ! Bait up with some peanut butter, place it along a wall where you suspect mice travel and sit back. ! Works great and doesn’t harm mouse. My trap has ventilation holes and hasn’t harmed any I’ve caught.

Just check your trap once a day. Best, most humane trap out there and works better than kill traps. !.

update 1617 I’ve had several of these out at all times for months and have yet to catch a single one with these traps. I suspect that they may be able to escape easily if they get a few hours to try – probably by catching the door along the bottom of the side edge with a claw and pulling it back.

================ I had one of the gravity tip type and it worked perfectly for the first half dozen mice. But then I made the mistake of releasing one too close to home and it got back in. Mice learn and this one learned to never go into one of those again.

They probably learn from each other as well. The gravity tip trap never caught anything again. So I got one of these. “mice cubes”. And after weeks IT HAS NEVER CAUGHT A SINGLE MOUSE – the bait inside has never been touched, despite me seeing at least one frequently.

In all fairness, maybe they transferred the lesson from the first traps over to this one. The big take home point is probably to NEVER release so close to home that they may get back in and then know (and teach the others?) what NOT to do.

Maybe the reason the kill traps are so effective is that they never get a second chance (although you’d think the others would learn from seeing the results) My last move will be to try peanut butter as bait which is rumored to be irresistible.

I’ll update here (if that’s allowed) if it works. There is a slight gap at the edge of the door (has to be since the sides of the trap are tapered to allow release from the mold). I suspect that due to the way they claw like crazy when trapped, a mouse will soon catch the door, pull it back and escape unless taken very soon after they get trapped.

(the gravity tip traps are much more effective at keeping them in once caught) I don’t have much confidence in this design but will give both it (and the gravity tip) one more chance with peanut butter as bait.

This may (or may not) work on naive mice never exposed to traps but on educated mice with exposure to other types of traps it catches NOTHING. NEVER RELEASE A MOUSE SO CLOSE TO HOME THAT IT CAN FIND ITS WAY BACK IN.

Mice very strongly prefer familiar territory for obvious reasons.

MICE CUBES are my number one choice for live-traps; my second choice is the gray plastic Victor live-trap. I keep 3 or 4 of them on-hand since you rarely catch just one mouse. But sadly, I can’t find either of them in my local WalMart or hardware store anymore (only online), and they are the BEST live-traps I’ve ever used.

If you have an OUNCE of sympathy for the mice–who are only trying to find a warm, safe place to live, after all–these are perfect. I find Mice Cubes a little better than the gray Victor live traps because there is no balanced fulcrum to accidentally “bump” shut, PLUS the smoky-brown plastic still lets you see the mouse inside–in case you want to check if you’ve caught a nursing mother (which you should release until the babies are older).

As with ANY live-trap, of course, you really shouldn’t set them out unless you are going to check every 4 or 5 hours to see if you’ve caught any mice. The mice do get stressed out, and sometimes if the weather is too cold or too muggy, the plastic inside gets sweaty.

Of course, this is STILL a much more humane alternative than making them chew their fur off trying to escape one of those horrific glue traps!! (Those things should be BANNED!!! Such a SICK product!!) I also prefer the Mice Cube over other live traps becauseI’ve had a few rare cases where the mouse was determined enough to chew its way out or pry the door open, especially when they were left in there for longer than I had intended.

Also, with the Mice Cubes, when you catch a mouse and gently turn the trap upside down, the door flaps inward, all the way down. (I block the opening with my hand when doing this, of course, and I’ve never been bitten.

The mice are usually too scared to move!) But if you leave the door open, especially when you are ready to release the mouse, he can emerge when he feels the coast is clear. I always have an aquarium or container on hand so I can “hold” the mouse (and any siblings that I catch!) until a nice day when I can release them into a stone wall or an area with food and shelter–a mile or so far from other houses, if possible.

Mice eat grains, grass seeds, nuts, acorns, hemlock seeds–you can probably find your local species and its preferences online. Or at least try to find a place with the same kinds of foods and trees that were in the area where you caught them.

Finally, I release in the late afternoon around 3 pm, before most owls are out! I leave the cage or trap tipped over with the door open, right next to the stone wall. then I step back for a few minutes.

It may take 10 minutes or so, but if you’re patient and wait silently, he’ll eventually poke his nose out, sniff the air, then run off in the direction he feels is safest. Wish him good luck as he cautiously enters his new habitat! And pat yourself on the back for being a humane human!.

Theses are my favorite traps. I recently ordered a four pack and one of the doors was broken. I feel that it would of been fine if shipper shipped in a padded envelope. I did drill holes in a previous trap and I didn’t drill at floor level.

I drilled above head and head level. (Chew level) I also drilled a little too big a hole so the critter was able to chew his way out. (patched with glue and a small piece of tin). This shipment I plan on experimenting with rear feet floor area tiny holes.

I’ve noticed that even within two hours there is a lot of condensation in the trap. Poor damp critters get evicted in the cold. Perhaps the manufacturer could product a non-chew-able screen vent.

The CaptSure is an effective method to live-capture small critters like mice and voles. Airholes in the top and front allow for fresh air until the animal is released. Easy to set up. I would caution that because it’s so small and light that it should be wired to a heavy object to keep larger animals like squirrels and raccoons from making off with it if something like peanut butter is used as bait(I found the trap on the far side of the yard!) The bait door is somewhat difficult to remove(except by the critter that made off with it).

This has worked very well for us; getting rid of mice housing themselves under an apartment patio space. Easy to use, captures mice humanely, and they are readily attracted to peanut butter bait. Can also soak in bleach solution to clean if want to store without seeming detriment to the trap.

The ONLY drawback is we ended up catching quite a family of mice (25+) and after so many snaps, for ours, the plastic lip that trips the door shut wears down and you can no longer set it. But since they’re inexpensive, easy to buy again if needed and we did just that.

We love them for their ease of use and the humane aspect.

45 minutes after I set up my 6 brand new traps I caught my first mouse. Then I caught another one about 24 hours later. I’ve let them go about 5 miles from here in a nice park with streams and lakes.

I hope I caught the “problem” of mice in my house fast enough. I used peanut butter and followed your simple instructions. I’m a huge animal lover and just don’t feel right killing these little guys.

The Tomcat Glue Traps work as stated on the package, but I ran into a few snags along the way. I aced these traps in my garage, which is separate from my house. This is noteworthy because I tend to get mice and squirrels in the garage.

Two days after placing the traps in various posituons around the garage, I heard a blood-curdling scream coming from said garage. When I got outside, I saw my wife dancing around in the driveway with one sandal off.

She said she was reaching an umbrella on the top storage shelf when she realized that she had stepped on something. That something was a Tomcat Glue Trap AND a mouse. So now I had to deal with a frazzled wife, a sandal with glue on the bottom of it and a half-squished mouse that was still breathing and squeaking.

Although the trap worked in catching a mouse, it left the mouse alive and the trap can also catch family members. I prefer the Tomcat Press ‘n Set traps since they kill the rodent and you can reuse them if desired.

These glue traps are the ONLY kind I prefer to use when it comes to catching mice. I’m too afraid to use the traditional ones with fear of snapping my fingers. These require nothing more than separating the traps because they’re perforated and laying them where you suspect mice activity.

These traps have a glue adhesive which is super sticky. I prefer to bait mine in the middle a super tiny amount of peanut butter. Since I have a dog, I lay these traps behind my fridge so they’re out of reach and he can’t put his nose or paw into it.

Definitely the only brand I use & recommend!.

I thought I had hit pay dirt with these traps. I set out three and in less than 24 hrs we had caught 5 rats. I was estatic because we have been battling rats for a year now. Just when I thought this was the be-all end-all, they started outsmarting these traps.

It wasn’t that they were stealing bait because that seems to be an impossibility even for these smart rats, they just won’t take the bait. A couple of times I have found the traps tripped but the peanut butter still on.

These have however been the best traps I’ve ever used;easy to release the victim and easy to clean and reuse. They are also very easy to bait as well. Now I just got to figure out how to outsmart these super intelligent rodents.

How easy can it be? Flip the flap over, squeeze peanut butter from the bottom up, so it fills the little holes, and then destroy the pesky rodents. I bought four traps and have caught 8 mice out in my garage eating my grass seed.

If you don’t have a tomcat, this is the next best thing!.

I fought the mouse that was a pain in the neck. Excellent product really good. I recomen this product to anybody that want to get ride of the mouse infections. Work like a charm. Very affordable.

Out in the country with big corn fields you sometimes need help with mice. These are very cheap but they do not compromise the quality and performance. I was afraid of breaking a finger since they are really sturdy.

These mouse traps are perfect for our purposes. We rescued a dog recently and she is (was) a counter-top surfer. She also got on furniture and jumped from the back of the car to the front seats. My vet recommended these and they’ve pretty much solved the problems already.

They’re pretty small, very easy to set and go off when they are suppose to. I’m glad I have all six.

Good trap, there is only one bottleneck; it takes time to adjust the trap for highest sensitivity (that is being loaded the trap has lowest sensitivity when yellow pedal is in it highest position, to increase sensitivity the pedal should be in lowest position).

Once you spend your time to adjusting the trap for the first time, you’ll get all benefits of “old school” trap (by the way, they’re made in USA).

A really good design, not just attractive on the roll, but makes a lovely parcel too. Paper wraps around easily and stays stuck. (Not all good papers do!) Will definitely look for this company again.

I’ve always used the Victor mouse traps and thought I’d try this kind for a change. It was a waste of money. It’s been set off every night for three nights. Not a single kill. The victor trap set up three feet away has had two kills in the last three nights.

I gave it a chance, sorry tomcat, you didn’t improve on the classic mouse trap.

It’s the easiest mouse trap I have used and not seeing the little creature when disposing of it is much easier for me to handle.

Very easy to bait and safely set. The size is perfect. The mice up here in the mountains are on steroids and although cute, chipmunks are still nasty little rodents that want eliminating.

These traps are very easy to bait and set. I used them to kill a mouse that was running loose in my basement–it turned out to be a large deer mouse. I used peanut butter for bait, and it looked like the mouse was killed very quickly.

There was no blood on it, and removing its body from the trap was easy. I rinsed the trap with bleach and water after I took the mouse out of it, and it was easy to rinse out the leftover peanut butter in the trap.

I was looking for a trap that would be effective and kill mice quickly but humanely, and the fact that these traps are reusable appealed to me. I definitely recommend them.

I just got around to setting these traps but that being said I have experience with thi type of trap because I bought this type previously. I have used three new improved traps so to speak and this one works better than the other two I’ve tried.

I live in the country so we get field mice when the weather changes and this year is causing even more mice than usual. I had the other types set and would catch one or two. when I found this type I’d previously purchased I’ve caught like 6-8.

The only thing I’ll say is that with most traps it’s best to funnel them into the trap, meaning put it against the wall where mice frequent and put a board or trash can or anything that will force the mouse to go through the front of the trap.

While these traps catch only 1 rodent at a time, they are effective and easy to use. Every time the trap has been tipped, I have caught a mouse. It’s easy to see if the trap has been triggered. Easy to clean; easy to store.

This is a slightly different design than one I had used before and I like the “legs” that hold the trap open; less likely that a slight bump will close the opening; mouse needs to go inside before the trap tips.

If you have a large infestation, consider buying more to clear up the problem quickly. I have only a few mice but I will leave 1 or 2 of these in place for the duration and keep checking so I am aware if the mice return.

I had a few of these in a different brand before and ordered these which seem to be a bit better, door clicks into place. I use a small part of a peanut butter cup as bait. I use one along the wall by a microwave and have caught a lot that way.

Along a wall seems to work the best. (Hard smooth surface) I got one of the clear ones at the thrift store and have not caught anything in it yet. I wash them out after catching a mouse and then reset.

This is the cleanest and no hassle way to catch and get rid of mice. For baits, I cut up 6 pieces of very small pork jerky, about 1/4″ x 1/4″‘, then put 3 pieces inside the trap and the other 3 pieces outside the trap around the trap posts.

This way, the mouse would eat the outside pork jerky, and since the mouse didn’t encounter problem, it will go in the trap for the other baits. The door would close after the mouse walked in, and it couldn’t come out.

I just put the trap with the mouse in a plastic bag and discarded in the garage can. I only have two mice in the house, therefore, two traps took care all the problems. The trap door is very sensitive, it will trigger even for small mouse.

The trap have an opening of 1. 5″x1. 5″, rat would no be able to go in.

Heard some scratching around in our loft so purchased these traps, with them being Rentokil I felt sure they would work. I am pleased to say they do. They are sturdy, very easy to set, and more importantly (in my mind) very easy to get rid of the ‘trappings’.

I just put disposable gloves on, pick up the trap place it in a tie handle bag and press the bar to release the contents straight into the bag. Then just tie it up and pop it in the bin. No mess, no fuss.

Bait I used was peanut butter. 10 out of 10 for these traps.

These are easy to use, do the job nice and quickly. And whilst I don’t want mice, I also don’t want to cause unnecessary pain, they’re taken out quickly and instantly. Fine to reuse, easy to dispose of.

Recommend bait of peanut butter and bit of chocolate button! I’ve used cheaper versions of this trap (which have yellow bar) and we’re not as good, tricky to set without triggering them and some didn’t even trigger on activation so these Rentokil ones are worth it.

Purchased these some time ago & always like to keep one in the house. As I was watching TV saw a mouse run along the skirting board in the. lounge, which I believe came from a delivery package as no evidence of droppings anywhere in the house.

And it showed up within 2 hours me receiving and opening package. I was able to quickly close the door and trap it in there. I placed a small amount of amount almond butter which has a very high scent and stuck a peanut in the middle.

Next morning mouse was caught well and truly dead. So much so that it partly severed the neck indicating mouse died instantly. While I don’t want mice in the house, I certainly don’t want them to suffer.

So it worked a treat.

This is a clever design, easy to bait and set up and clean after you have re-homed your little furry guest. We have mice in our shed, there is no way we seem to be able to stop them getting in, so I bought a couple of these traps.

I have dogs so it is too worrying to set poison bait. So far we have caught three mice, and I have rehomed them in the forest. I understand it is important to take the mice a good distance away before you let them free, otherwise they will come back – this is from a friend who marked his mice before he released them, and he told me he had one come home from about 1/2 a mile.

We accept that we have to live alongside mice; we live in the country. This way we can keep on top of the population and maybe discourage them from visiting inside sheds and garage. Our house remains a mouse free zone.

This type of trap has been extremely successful with smaller mice compared to numerous other designs (metal and plastic). The Trixie trap is less well made than expected. Mice quickly destroy plastic traps once captured.

The trap can work but the flap can also only partly close allowing the mouse to escape. To ensure the trap does work effectively I have had to superglue a washer to the end of the flap. The people who have designed it have not tested it adequately.
