20 Best No Escape Dog Harnesses (2023 Updated)

I have a Miniature Australian Shepherd, & this is so great. As shes only a 5 month old, she chewed her cheaper harnesses that were about the same price at Walmart, & I just couldnt deal with getting another cheap one, nor could I get an extremely expensive harness! I gave in some hope for this harness, & it works perfectly! Im super satisfied with this harness.

The material is thick, & strong/Sturdy. The price is worth it!!.

Im amazed that a harness this well made and sturdy is sold at such a reasonable price. Its easy to put on and take off, which had been a problem with my other harnesses. Dillon, my Golden Retriever Mix, a/k/a Wild Child, is no longer a dreaded beast! Its so much more pleasant walking him with this harness.

Everyone with a large dog that pulls should try this wonderful harness.

This boxer rescue has been a handful since day one. Pulls like a train, gentle leader Houdini. Wore me out. Got this harness today and its sturdy, well made, leash rings in all the right places , plenty of room to adjust and looks comfy.

Best of all no pulling. In fact he seemed quite bAffled that he wasnt able. Mom=1 Tyrion=0.

We’ve been looking for the perfect harness for our 16lb dachshund for ages. We’ve been through a few but they never seem to be right. This one is. Although I think we got one size too large for her, it still works well for her cinched to the tightest setting.

They have this really well thought out ‘locking’ slider thing that holds the straps into place when the leash isn’t pulled taut. Really smart. My one criticism is that the plastic clasps and rings on it feels a little cheap.

Like, I expect the clasp will be the first thing to break on this. Those little plastic slider clasps always seem to break eventually but this one makes me feel like it will not last a year. That is unfortunate as the overall design is very impressive and works very well.

If it does break, I’ll likely buy another but will probably shop for a different manufacturer to see if this weakpoint is addressed better. Just a slightly more robust plastic would have made this thing absolutely perfect.

Overall, really good harness at a decent price.

I spent years trying to find a harness to fit my Shih Tzu. It doesn’t matter the brand, the X-small is always too small and the small is too big. But the medium of this harness fits perfectly. We ended up going back to the store and getting another one for a friend who had the same sizing issues.

The fact this is also an escape free harness (I have had issues with my boy getting out) is a bonus. It seems to work but I’ve only had it for about a a week now. The only downside is the rings are plastic instead of metal like other harnesses.

They’re also big so it’s chunky at times getting a leash attached. But I find that’s a minor drawback for a harness that actually fits.

This was the third time I had visited your store for a harness for my puppy. The first two purchases did not fit her correctly, I live by a very busy road, and wanted Sadie (my puppy) to be more than extra safe when I took her outside.

So, on my third visit, I brought Sadie with me. Dave helped us find the right harness, right fit, and Sadie was very comfortable with Dave while he fitted her in the right harness. I was treated well the other two times I visited your store.

I bought this harness nearly 10 months ago and have used it daily since. This harness was ideal for my dog: minimal fabric, a highly adjustable design, multiple quick-release buckles and both front and back attachment points.

No harness will magically fix pulling, but this harness was a helpful tool as I trained my dog to walk with a loose lead. I used the front attachment point when training him leash manners and have now transitioned to primarily using the back attachment point for comfort.

Occasionally, I use both attachment points for greater control: the harness is seriously versatile. It’s held up reasonably well to rain, snow and swimming. I only have minor issues with this product.

First, some of the hardware does not seem to be rust-proof and has left minor rust stains on the grey webbing. The hardware does not corroded to the point of losing structural integrity, despite the stains.

Second, the chest strap, while adjustable, doesn’t really hold the position of the metal slider, so needs constant readjustment or it’ll end up fully extended. This is fine for my dog’s size/shape but may not work for everyone.

I still highly recommend this harness and would absolutely buy it again when the time comes. My main hope is that the metal hardware will be made more rust-proof in the future. My dog weighs approximately 32lbs and wears a size small.

I ordered one each of these in the medium and large. I really like the design with the front and back clips for my dogs who do tend to pull too often. They seem well made however I would prefer a metal clips to the plastic clips that they opted to use on these.

My main problem is that the sizing was just wrong for my dogs. I understand it must be difficult to make something that fits the shape of a variety of dog breeds but I had trouble with I had trouble with fitting both dogs even using the provided measurements.

I ordered both a medium and a large. For both of these my dogs were at the bottom of the neck range. With the large even though I tightened it to the smallest size it was still several inches too big on my dogs neck.

The medium, while a bit loose around the dogs neck was not as far off in measurement as large. While there is some overlap in the sizing provided going down to from the large to a medium does not work for my dog because the medium simply wouldn’t go around the girth.

The medium I was able to make the girth fit fairly well on the dog it was purchased for. However this left still a slight neck gap plus a problem with the chest strap. The chest strap tightened to its shortest length was still too long and hung away from the dogs chest, it would not fit close the way it is meant to in the fitting instructions.

Unfortunately, these were not what I was hoping for and I don’t believe they fit properly based on the measurements provided.

We’ve had the same “gentle leader” harnesses for the life of our two senior dogs but we finally had to admit they’d seen better days. It was nearly impossible to find something similar that has the hook for the leash on the back instead of the chest.

Finally found this one and it’s pretty darn close to the original except the fit is not perfect. Both our dogs are on the longer side but still only ~ 40 pounds. The small worked great for our slightly smaller dog but was too small for our bigger dog, yet the medium is a little on the big side.

Sags on his underside and we have tightened it as far as it will go. When the dogs start to pull, the harness accordions around their neck. They love that we no longer have to put the harness over their heads! The seat belt feature is great and eliminated a separate car harness, but the little leash that comes with it for getting in and out of the car is ridiculously short.

Finally, the teal looks like more of a green than seafoam. Both our dogs are male but we wanted different colors so I was pleased.

Bought 3! His throat issues are now gone and trachea collapse symptoms healing. I think his previous collar was causing it. So happy to have found this one. There’s no collar better. I can’t believe people use the other collars that pull on the throat.

That’s horrible. This Fits great. And I love the criss cross in front. That’s so helpful. And what I like the most is that this is designed to rotate a couple inches at the attachment when he moves so it gives him a little flexibility without choking him.

I bought this in a medium a week ago and I’ve used it around 2-3 times already. I have a maltipoo and she has a tendency to pull and try to go faster/farther and it would cause her to choke in her previous harness.

However, not a single time since I’ve started using this has she choked/gagged. The sizing is a bit off for her though, since a small is too tight but a medium is too loose (but the medium isn’t loose enough for it to be unsafe/falling).

This harness is true to its name and is so helpful for dogs that try pulling and end up choking. It’s also super softer than her old one. I also bought a small for my yorkie and I think she loves it! Normally she hates harnesses but this one she doesn’t seem to mind! I feel like it makes her more comfortable when she’s walking as her previous ones weren’t the most softest like this.

It is a bit pricey for me, but I was able to get it on sale! Choke-free, soft and comfortable!.

These have been my go-to harnesses for at least a decade on all my small- to medium-sized dogs. They’re easy to get on and off, are very light weight and non-intrusive, and easy to wash. They last for a really, really long time so they’re not the cheapest to buy, but they are really cost-effective in the long run.

No many things these days are as well made, and I’m always prepared to be disappointed. I applaud this company for actually making quality products and maintaining consistently high standards for SO LONG.

Our 7 month-old Lab/Boxer mix does well not pulling on walks, until she sees a squirrel/bird/person/bicycle, and then it’s chaos. She’s not aggressive, just very, very enthusiastic. One day she lunged at a little boy and his grandmother out on a morning walk, and they RAN AWAY.

I was so mortified, I decided right then and there that something needed to be done. After a neighbor told me about her harness she used for her dogs, I looked up this harness. I thought it was surely too good to be true.

And the pulling has almost entirely stopped. She’s a “teenager” so of course she still has her reactive moments, but she’s so, so much better. Chewy not only replaced it with the right size and took care of shipping, but left the wrong-sized harness with me to donate to my local shelter.

This harness has definitely reduced my anxious little dog’s pulling on walks. If we walk alone, he even acts like he’s been to a trainer– walks right next to me the whole time. The way the harness is designed works best if your dog is walking next to you, or just a few feet in front.

If they’re farther away than that, the harness is against their side. My dog does a neat little dance move where he either walks completely sideways like a little tap dancer, or just tries to walk with his butt out to one side.

Any excess strap at the front of the harness pulls out to the side as well. The asymmetrical nature of the harness is so horrifying to my FIL that he puts the harness on upside down, with the lead coming from behind the shoulders.

This works in a pinch. Overall, this harness has improved our walks.

We have a 7 month old Great Dane puppy who has been on a Martingale collar since we brought her home. The old collar was fine when she was smaller but now that she’s around 80 lbs and very strong, it was harder for my wife and younger son to maintain control on walks when she would get distracted or just become particularly rambunctious.

A friend had recommended the Gentle Leader so we decided to give it a try and walks have become much more controlled and enjoyable. She didn’t love it at first and I think we could have avoided the transition by just starting her on this instead of the Martingale in the first place but- with a few treats to ease the process- she got used to this collar in just a few days and now it’s just natural.

Rather than having to fight the strength of the entire big, strong dog, the Gentle Leader gives you control of her head and, as a result, her attention. Now when she’s distracted, it just takes a gentle tug on the collar to bring her back to focus on us.

Highly recommend.

Two for the harness even though it would fit sasquatch, It looked sewn well and the buckles and straps are ok. The two is really for selling a halo that collapses with the slightest bump. The little halo bendable wire is useless even as a curb feeler.

The thing needs to be made of aircraft aluminum, not pipe cleaner! The two would have been a one for except for the harness. The fastener for the hoop doesn’t fit the space it’s supposed to work in and is cheesy engineering.

It’s a snap on over a strap but there’s no room for the snapping part between the straps and anyway, whenever the ring moves or gets bent it falls off.

The Halo definitely gives my dog more freedom when walking as far as not hurting himself when he bumps into things. My only complaint would be that the wire is rather easy to bend out of placement when he bumps into something hard, or even gets it stuck/caught on something.

Overall, I’m definitely glad we purchased it.

I was super glad to find this harness for our pup. She’s an 85 lb German Shepherd who is still working on training and walking etiquette. We previously had an easy-walk harness with the front clip and I LOVED it for training as it helps dogs turn around and look at you when the leash is pulled on.

I love that this harness has options for easy-walk adjacent leash clip as well as a back leash clip, which we use to clip her car seat belt into. I also love the durability of the harness; like I said, she’s still learning and is SUPER strong but this harness holds up and just from looking at it you can tell the stitching and make is solid.

Haven’t had a chance to try it during beach trips to see how it handles water but I’m sure it’ll be fine based on our experience so far. It’s also very cute on her and the color isn’t too loud like other harnesses you see on the market.

The emblem on the front is also a great touch! Overall, we are very happy with the harness and already gave our 15% off coupon to a pal and her pup!.

IšverstiShow in original languageLove this system! This is the second “set” my mom has gotten for me – first was in red, now I’m in purple. Both look so great on my black coat! I don’t pull with this system ’cause there are 2 points of contact: my back and my chest.

It makes me feel secure and I know the direction my mom wants me going. She loves it for the same reasons and also ’cause she can make adjustments at 4 different points. Plus it has a Martingale arrangement at the back ring which tightens if I pull on the leash but lets go when I relax – so I get the message! It doesn’t have anything around my neck which both Mom and I appreciate.

IšverstiShow in original languageI have a 9yo 75lb pit/lab mix. She is strong as an ox. I have tried all sorts of training and “no pull” harnesses with no success. SHe doesn’t “walk me”, she is just stubborn and strong.

First walk with this harness was like a different dog. Although she still kept the leash taught with no slack, I could feel her restrain herself when she started to try to pull harder. After about 20 minutes, I was getting slack in the leash.

I sincerely wish I would have tried this harness years ago if it was even in existence back then. The only downside is that I wish the leash was just a little longer, but I believe there are options for that which I haven’t looked into.

1000% recommend this harness. (PS- I realize the harness looks tight in the photo but it is just the way she is angled. There is the proper amount of space between the strap and her body).

Line Grip harness /7 Very pleased with this It was recommended on the CAM Equipment and Reviews site. We had a Perfect Fit when he was smaller, but wanted something that didn’t have clips near the legs.

Needed it urgently as he contracted bronchitis and and couldn’t have any pulling on his collar. Was very pleased with the speed of delivery. Thank you.

Tough substantial light weight harness. Easily washed so far. I got the black one, same as my dog and attached coloured bicycle lights fir the dark. Easy to put in the dog Very pleased. I got medium for my 20 inch 54cm 6 nth puppy to grow and it is just tight to take to adult.

Have always had a problem getting a good fit for my Romanian rescue but have been delighted with the Line harness. There is some slack under her chest but not an issue as the fit is otherwise perfect.

On the pricey side but very good quality so delighted!.

Fabulous harness is both well-made and durable, just doesn’t fit my dog’s unusual body type. We loved the reflective material which looks so snazzy while boosting safety on walks in low light, but the Medium was too loose around my dog’s neck while the girth was too tight, and no amount of adjustments could make it work.

We exchanged it for the Small, but that turned out to be positively teeny. perfect for toy breeds but just not our ‘Schnorkhund’ gal, whose a marvellous mix of mini schnauzer, Yorkie and dachshund (ie adorable fuzzy muzzle with beard and ‘brows, combined with broad chest, long back and short legs).

Canada Pooch, PLEASE make a version of these awesome harnesses that is in between your Small and Medium, since I suspect there are many, many mixed breed smaller dogs who require a “tweener” size. It’s worth noting that, interestingly enough, we had success with a different Canada Pooch harness, the Chill Seeker Cooling Harness, which is sized by inches (i.

e. , 8/10/12/14 etc vs S/M/Lg). We lucked out with a size 12, which fits perfectly at the neck and girth, even though technically our pups ‘size’ is 16, based on the standard measurement from the base of her neck to the base of her tail.

(The size 14 & 16 we’d originally ordered based on this measurement were way too big all over, but with a few seconds of strap adjustment the 12 in this particular harness ended up being a great fit!).

All to say, try various sizes to find your dog’s best fit, because all of Canada Pooch harnesses are exceptionally well made and the designs are fun and unique.

Was recommended this and it looked sturdy but lightweight compared to others. The clip at the collar sold it as the battle I’d have getting the previous harness over my pups head was exhausting and not nice for her.

When it was adjusted just right we headed out for a walk. I immediately found that the d ring at the top/back is far back to the end of the harness that when on lead this basically put her in front of me and not nicely to my side.

This also makes controlling her when pulling not particularly easy as your control is pulling her at her chest and not shoulder/collar area. When she pulls the short padded bits under the collar straps folds under and I have to readjust throughout the walk (this is only when she pulls).

The chest ring is good and had this on the previous harness but when using it it twists the harness right around and kinda defeating its purpose and cutting at her armpits. Probably the most concerning thing I’ve found is the straps don’t stay tight enough and when the harness twists, or like the other day when my puppy got all excited seeing my neighbour she somehow managed to wriggle out of it, thankfully as they were paying her attention I noticed and grabbed her before she realised she was free! The previous harness was a bit like this but not as bad and she never completely broke free.

So in summery Pros: – lightweight – easy to put on due to clip at the collar – chest d ring – nicely padded on chest (not so much on collar area though) Cons – straps loosen when in use and can cause sores (isn’t escape proof and so no good for hyper dogs/puppies) – using chest d ring twists the harness right around and so defeats purpose of ring and harness – dangerous due to the above – d ring on back too far back (no good for pullers) – when pulling the collar padding folds under itself – particularly cheap for what you get As for the stitching and clips durability it’s too early to say as only been using it a couple weeks.

After less than 6 months with this harness, it is ripping at the buckle/clip points. The harness is easy to put on my dog, and removal is just as easy. I don’t put this harness on my dog very often after purchasing because the side adjustment buckle constantly turns sideways, and makes the harness loose.

I haven’t done any extensive hikes in the forest with my dog wearing the harness, just around the yard and on some trails. He rolls in the grass but never in the brush. If your dog is active whatsoever, I do not recommend this harness.

The material has small rips in it (again, my dog has worn this less than 15 times) and the material is ripping near the buckle/clip seams. Looking at the reviews, seems like most people have small dogs.

My dog is around 80lbs, using the XL size. I have a RuffWear harness for my dog that I use and I feel much more confident in that, no issues so far.

Okay so I’ve tried 7 different harnesses (yea I’m extra and my dog deserves the best, obviously) and returned them all, except for this one. These are some other popular ones I tried for ref: Ruffwear frontrange petsafe 3 in 1 K9 balance harness Barkbay no pull 2hounds no pull design Some random ones from Petsmart (Arcadia trail, I think?) The above either chaffed my dog (petsafe and K9 balance), didn’t fit properly (bad neck to chest ratio), or made her unwilling to walk because they were heavy.

My dog has a really deep chest, and a skinny neck and stomach with very spindly legs and super thin/no hair on her underside. She’s not a greyhound, but has a really similar build to one. She doesn’t pull on the leash at all, but I did want a front hook option for high traffic areas.

I could not find another harness that fit both her neck and chest. She’s a 16″ neck and a 29. 5″ chest, and I went with the large since I wanted to make sure it was long enough for her without digging into her armpits.

I think potentially the medium would have also worked since I’ve got both straps all the way tight on the large, but I noticed the bottom of the harness (like the bottom fabric part) is so much longer on the large than it is on the medium based on the measurements on the product page so that’s why we went with large.

This harness is super light and seems really durable. I’ve been using it for several weeks at this point and the straps haven’t loosened at all. My dog seems way more comfortable in this harness than her old one.

She’s a sensitive gal and her reactivity has already improved a bunch since she’s no longer being made a grump by her harness rubbing. Anyways, you should buy this because its super cute and well made and my dog loves it, and honestly, the price is really fair for what you get.

No frills, just solid construction; this is the harness I recommend when people ask. It is the very best thought out design I’ve seen on a harness: the dog doesn’t need to step through anything; the back clip-in point is oriented to distribute the force of a pulling dog throughout the harness (which minimizes pressure points when your dog who’s bred to sled is pulling you to your destination); and there’s a front clip in point when you want to minimize pulling tendencies.

Super burly and durable, while being comfortable and breathable. One of my dogs has put thousands of miles on his with no damage or fraying at all – incredible. I only wish Wilderdog made a version with a couple small pouches – let Fido carry the **** on long hikes! Overall, my favorite harness I’ve ever tried!.

It’s a nice harness and the material seems strong. I bought this harness in a red xs for a mini poodle. The measurements and the weight were right but the harness didn’t fit right. The girth fit fine because it’s adjustable.

The part that goes over the head is not. I can barely get his head through the opening but when the harness is on the chest part is too big. When he walks it turns sideways and his front leg comes through the shoulder part.

A very awkward fit so it’s a no for us.

I got this, because the first activity board I got for my cat, was maybe too difficult for him. This one was a little more his speed, and kept him entertained for a good 15 minutes. He was able to get all the treats, except for the ones in the bowl and the little squares.

He gave up after AWHILE of trying, I had to the. Take them out for him, cause I could see he was getting frustrated. But overall, I’m really happy with this purchase, and I will continue to use it, so he can get better at it.

The harness slides down on one side and is unbalanced on her back, even with a few things of equal weight in each pocket. Probably because of this, the handle is ineffective. I have the size medium in the front range, and it fits my standard poodle just fine.

‘However, I wanted one with a handle because on another harness that feature helped control her when she leaps up high on seeing squirrels and other dogs. I also wanted the pockets because that seems to calm her, but not when the harness is slipping way down on one side.

I have tried to tighten it, whichIfound difficult by the way, but This harness would not tighten enough to solve the problem. She has a thin back and the deep standard poodle chest. Why would the medium front range fit and not this.

Please help! tell me what I should do.

Total game changer for me and my German Shepard cross. Was told about the front clip no pull harness years ago so really kicking myself it’s taken till he’s 4 and half before I invested in one. The front clip just generally seems to make him much calmer on walks, it’s just not intuitive for him to pull and seems to be transferring to when he’s only on a collar and lead too.

The harness seems very comfy for him to wear and the pockets are bigger than I expected and will fit a ball/poo bags/tick twister/doggy first aid stuff etc. When it’s only got poo bags in it just looks like a normal harness coat not a big backpack.

Stitching and webbing very well made and good quality. He won’t slip out and would trust picking him up in it to put him over a fence. A bit pricey but it has honestly changed our walking habits so much that I would say it’s worth every penny – for what I feel I’ve got out of it, I would have paid the same again.

Let me start out by saying that I love walking…I mean its kinda my stick, and since my dogs love sticks, (numerous can be found while walking), its a win-win; however, what isn’t so fun is carrying all the stuff required on a hot summer day, while walking or riding my bike.

Bottled water, poopie bags, used poopie bags…don’t you love that left over poopie bag smell. No matter where I put the bag, there is always a little residual smell, and although the leashes I bought have a place to tie them after use, the feeling of a cold poop filled bag slapping against my waist as I walk….

annoying to say the least. So, giving my dog pockets was the best solution…carry your own poop! The bag is not huge at all, so if you are a hiker and want your dog to carry some weight, this is not the tool for you.

What it can carry is two water bladders (one on each side) with about 16oz of water each, a poopie bag roll, and one or two full poopie bags (as the water bladders empty). I have even had my girl carry my phone when both water bladders were not necessary.

This is the maximum though. The side pockets do not expand, so the more you shove in there, the more the harness will stick out away from the dogs body. I will also add that my dog has issues with a lot of harnesses rubbing away her fur.

I first ordered the Front Range harness for my Great Pyrenees and Lab. It worked well for the Pyrenees, but with the lab it rubbed away a huge patch of fur on her chest and even started to get little scabs.

I then exchanged it for this harness, and her hair has completely grown back with no additional rubbing anywhere else. I only wish it came in pink, as everyone thinks she is a boy, but I thought the blue was the best looking color.

Perfect fitment, easy on easy off, easy to adjust in just a few seconds. Light an breathable for the hot south Florida weather. Rear V-ring works perfectly to hook to a long line for tracking an bite work.

Front padded breast plate for extra protection. Room for a front patch on the breast plate an on the back. The rear handle is solid if you need to pick your dog up. Me personally with my injuries it’s easier on me an my k9 to pick me up off the ground grabbing his harness rather than the handle on his flat collar.

I had to sew the center chest strap to the point where the strap going around the girth passes through it. I have a skinny 86lb GSD very lean and the harness kept falling off to his side(on the buckle side) no matter how tight I had it( even when it was overly tight).

Now I have the harness fitted snugly to reduce sliding around but sewing that strap in place corrected most of the issue. Other than that it’s light weight and perfect. I also bought the G Hook bags which are super convenient and low profile in their shape.

Great fit after initial adjustment. Almost ad max adjustment range for my 110 lbs “Standard American Bulldog” 11 month old puppy. He shows great potential for actual and sport tracking/trailing. Worked him 4 times on 1/4 mile tracks.

Harness does not shift (stays in place as adjusted including turns) despite him pulling while tracking. Highly recommend for large/strong canines.

Tried a few different harnesses. This style is not too chunky, fits very well, soft, nice fit & style. Good colours!

I have a English Bulldog. And because of his neck I have to purchase harnesses. I purchased my first dog terrain harness and leash at a Rural King in Logansport, Indiana. Fell in love with the product and that is all My Dover gets now.

After two chewed harness clips, I just purchased a third harness and updated my leash to a six foot one. Love it… Great quality product. I highly recommend it!!.

Very sturdy. This is our second one. The clip broke on the first one. We like the neoprene padding in it. Hoping this one last longer. Fits our Bassett/dachshund.

I had to return the medium and reorder a larger size. The new one fits and it’s ok, but I don’t care for the way the leash hook straps at the top raise up and don’t lay flat. There may be some practical reason for it, but It looks silly on Rocket’s back.

Other than that, it works and he’s adjusted to it well.

I accidentally purchased the wrong size online. The silver lining being this fits my senior girl beautifully. Very easy to put on and off. She doesn’t like over the head harnesses, but this has such a wide space it doesn’t matter.

We were in the mountains recently. Her balance in the car is not the best. I was able to hold the handle as we went round corners on the twisty mountain roads, to steady her. It washes well too. We lost an ezy dog Velcro patch somewhere in our travels though!.

we previously bought him a kong life jacket that did the work but he out grew their medium size. I was going to get the same kind but luckily they were out of stock and had to get him this. a much better fitted medium.

We didn’t have to add anything new to this (the old kong one we had to add velcro so it stayed put). It’s a perfect fit and he swallows less water because this life jacket keeps him elevated, the proof was on the drive home.

With the previous jacket we would have to stop several times on the way home (about 4 or more times) to let him potty. This jacket is so awesome and did a great job at keeping him elevated, we didn’t have to stop once on the way home.

Red makes it easy to see him when he’s out in the water. The only thing I would add is a bigger handle on the top of the jacket. The picture does more show how flat the handle is on the life jacket so it’s not a true picture of what it will look like on your dog.

Other that the handle this product is amazing. I love it and Ajax, the dog, does too.

So we bought this originally for a trip to lake of the ozarks, it was the first time taking our 110 pound pit bull Golden retriever mix on vacation. I was worried about him swimming to far out getting tired ect.

so we decided to get this. Now we dont go to any lake without it. The other day i even tried to take it off while we swam to see his reaction and he practically pawed at me nonestop till i put it back on.

He LOVES to float in the water. Also its a great piece of mind to know my dog has a personal floation device as well as myself. Highly recommend.

The Atlas harness is very easy to put on my very excitable 43lb 7mo standard poodle. I appreciate that there is not fumbling around with finding the right direction and connecting multiple latches. It is sturdy and thus far the uniquely designed magnetic latch has held up well.

Midnight has chewed through three other “no pull” type harnesses and has yet to make a dent in this one. Her frame is a little small for the medium and adjusting has been a bit of a challenge. I find the loop area where the leash is connected to be too loose.

Clearly a owner operating issue but a con for me if I had to note. Overall, it does job and I’m satisfied. I am secure in the lifetime guarantee as well.

It wasn’t sized correctly in my opinion. I purchased a xxl however, it failed to fit my dog. With a normal nylon harness xlg fits fine. Due to the difference in this harness and nylon strap harness ordered larger than normal.

It still didn’t fit. Didn’t adjust to make any larger either. If you have a larger dog ( I have american staffordshire terrier (pitbull) with a large chest I wouldn’t recommend.

Sizing is way off. My chihuahua measures 16 inches in the chest. Based on the size chart for this harness, she should take a size medium. She is swimming in the medium. I also tried a size small recently and that one is too large also.

Someone isn’t paying attention to quality control, and the company isn’t paying attention either. What a way to run a business.

I love the harness! It’s so soft and gentle for our Yorkie puppy that’s 6 months old. The one thing that was not expected is it’s a little big around her neck which could be my fault for allowing just a little growth room.

So I will order a different color in extra small for a change. The XS from a different company was too small. Thinking it may not run true to size. But it is a great product.
