20 Best Nike Running Shoes For Flat Feet (2023 Updated)

I am 190lbs so finding shoes that support well can be a challenge. Only handful of reviews are geared towards heavier users so you can not fully go on ratings. The react midsole and the air pods at the forefoot feel supportive throughout the run.

Some softer mid soles bottom out overtime especially the forefoot so the you don’t get the bounce back like you are supposed to. But these shoes deliver in that end and also are pretty stable as well.

The fit is awesome as well. It feels like the shoes grabs you everywhere the forefoot, mid foot and the ankle without feeling like it is squeezing you. Also the upper is pretty flexible to keep your foot comfortable through your strides.

Not the few issues. The known issue of heel slippage. I did read that once you run a few times the slippage stops. Well, my left foot has stopped slipping but right still keeps slipping. I think it may have reduced or it is just wishful thinking.

I will do few more sessions and see if it improves any further and will update the review. Second issue may be the breathabilty of the uppers. I do mostly indoors so it is not an issue at all but compare to my other running shoes I have I really don’t feel the air passing through the uppers.

From the reviews I have read on the 38, it looks like they may have addressed the issues but will only know when I try them.

I have waited until I put about 100 miles on the shoes before reviewing them. I run average 20-30 miles a week and my pace is usually 7-8 minute-mile. The first 50 miles, the upper seemed to not breath at all and snugged my foot very tight.

It was at a level that I was considering returning the shoes until they loosened up after 50-60 miles or so, but usually should not take that long. Still, it is not as breathable as it should be. The cushion is great, but the boost of speed that is advertised with these type of shoes are just not there, they cancel out with the cushion and high weight of the shoe.

They feel significantly heavier compared to other performance models (from other brands) that I use in rotation with this one. So if you think they will decrease your minute-mile, they won’t, however, they will give you great cushion if that is what you are looking for.

Also, these shoes show up after filtering for stability, but they do not provide significant support for medium-low arch feet. Overall, I believe there are a lot of room for improvement, so I am giving them 4 stars.

This is my 3rd Zoom running shoe and the only iteration that I have had problems with. Feels like my foot is not firmly laced into the shoe. If I lace too tightly my feet start to hurt. Constantly feels like the back of my heel is slipping out of the shoe.

Too late to return. Will be ordering another pair of running shoes. I generally buy Nike running shoes for performance and it works with my small narrow feet. Always order the same size, no pronation issues, however I will explore another brand.

If I could give this shoe zero stars I would. It may work for others but this shoe did not work for me.

I love these shoes! I suggest ordering a half size up than you would normally buy in a running shoe! I ordered the pink with the black mesh overlay and I’ve already received so many compliments! They are also so comfy, you can definitely feel the memory foam! Highly recommend! They are pricey (different) depending on color, but a great investment!.

These shoes are insanely comfortable. I love them, but wearing them is no longer an option because they squeak so loud. I tried everything I could find online to solve it. It’s not the insoles or the bottom of the shoe.

It seems to be in the forefront right under the balls of my feet. It’s a non-stop squeak no matter what surface I’m walking on. I liked the shoes so much I bought another pair, but that one squeaks too.

Any suggestions??.

I’m a bigger dude with wide feet who is nearly 40. A winning combo to burn through shoes trying to find the right fit and comfort. These are incredible. Nike shoes are usually too narrow, not these. Plenty of room in the toe box and that react cushion.

It’s responsive, supportive, and doesn’t cause fatigue like you feel from other more mushy mid soles. I’ve beat these things up, have put a lot of miles on them. The materials are extremely durable and the comfort is still there.

I just ordered a second pair because these are likely to be discontinued soon with the v2 of these about to come out. I’ll keep those in the box until my original pair are trashed. I’ve never done that with a pair of running shoes, if that tells you anything.

They come in variety of different colors and sizes with a very comfortable fit. They are by far the best running shoes I have ever used, and their shape and design improved my running form almost immediately.

They feature three main layers keep your feet secure while you’re running as well is designed to reduce injury to keep you on the run. The shape of the midsole helps the phases of a runner’s stride and creates flexibility at the toe which helps propel you forward.

The midstance provides for a cushioning at contact for a smoother run and it almost feels like you’re running or walking on cushion. When I run in the Nike infinity run flyknit shoes I just feel faster.

The soles design propels you forward and gives your bounce in your step. The curved sole helps you strike the ground on your toes which improves your stride and by landing on your toes you have a lesser chance of injury.

A faster tempo is guaranteed with running in them. Their vaporfly like rocker sole shape merges takeoff and landing into a smoother transition. This causes very little energy to be lost in stride so your legs will feel fresher longer throughout your run.

They have a sleek design that is comfortable for running but also for everyday use. They have a soft feel for walking or just chilling with your friends although the price is a little hefty if you’re only looking for shoes for everyday use.

They have a titer fit so if you are looking for slip on shoes, I would not recommend them although this does provide for a very comfortable fit for everyday use and running. If you are not particularly a runner but need athletic shoes these will be perfect.

Their easy to carry around and the lightweight fit is good for warming up for your game or just going to the gym. They do cost around $160 dollars although they are worth it. After wearing these shoes, I would highly recommend them especially to runners.

If you need a shoe that will give you a bounce in your step with a comfortable feel the Nike react infinity run flyknit shoes are the shoes for you. There durable design will last you for a long time however you wear them, running or just hanging out.

There price may be on the higher end at $160 but the Nike react infinity run flyknit shoes are worth it. If you need a new pair of kicks, I would highly recommend checking them out.

Before writing this review, I just finished telling my partner that I’d be surprised that any serious runner would like this shoe. Looking at the other reviews confirms my thoughts as most mention “tennis shoe” or walking, etc etc.

I have worn Nike Air Pegasus for over 20 years. I am completely loyal to the brand, and love the shoe. That is, until now. I ordered these shoes as they were the first Air Pegasus that popped up in my search for wide feet.

And boy was I disappointed. I took my first two runs in them. First and foremost, especially with wide feet, the zipper is difficult to close. The velcro strap allows very little ability to really adjust the tightness of your laces where you want them to be tight, or looser.

But worse, the shoes causes me TERRIBLE foot pain. The zipper hits right at the toe joint, the widest point of the foot. For distance runners, this is not good. I have hit the Advil several times in the last few days as my feet hurt, my back hurt, and my shins hurt(which has not been the case since high school) The fit is so poor.

These shoes in no way are safe for long distance, for anyone. Please move this design off your running collection. I will be sending them back, and buying another pair of Air Pegasus that lace as normal, and fit my foot they way they should.

I’ve been wearing Nike’s Air Zoom Pegasus 38 for about 3 days now. My first impression after unpacking was that the shoe looked and felt awesome! I thought that the coloring on the lace loops are not colors I would choose but I’ve still rocked these as much as possible since they came in! The lace loops are like a multi-coloring of pink, purple, and aqua and it looks sweet against the black and white of the shoe but it’s just not my normal color palette when choosing shoes.

The shoes are incredibly light, and the materials are really high quality compared to other running shoes I’ve owned. The upper sole around the front doesn’t feel like I can poke my toe through when putting some miles on them and the tongue is cushioned but not overly padded so it’s really comfortable.

I’ve got a slightly wide foot and usually I buy my every day shoes a little big to have the right width if they don’t come in a wide. However, these shoes fit like they were custom made for me! When I purchase running shoes I typically go a half size smaller but these shoes are true to fit and a little giving on the sides so I’m glad I got my correct foot size and didn’t overshoot for width.

They aren’t too constricting even when lacing them up pretty tight. I love the padding on the bottom sole and even after some pretty heavy use these past 3 days, I haven’t had creases really form. I’ve clocked in about 15 miles equally off trail in a rock/ clay mix, on asphalt, and on a treadmill and have not had any foot soreness from breaking them in.

The back like 1/2 inch of the shoe doesn’t seem to ever touch the ground but I have noticed that off asphalt that part helped me keep my balance if I hit a hole or rock while running. I’m a sneaker freak even when buying shoes for a purpose and I’ve been really happy about the way people have turned to look at my shoes when running or even just wearing them today to the dentist’s office.

It’s a running shoe but it goes with so much. Again, my only complaint was that the coloring on the loops for the laces and the aqua for the sole is not my typical style or color choice, but I’ve taken it as a badge to prove I’m still looking good even in those colors.

These are honestly some of the most comfortable running shoes I own and I’m so happy to own them!.

These do come up a little small and the sizing doesn’t make sense so check the continental size and the length. I returned a 39/5. 5 ladies, a 39. 5/6 ladies & a 39 men’s before settling on a 40/6 men’s and I’m ALWAYS a 39/6 in shoes.

But the website was really easy to navigate and filter, the price was comparable with other sites abs the trainers arrived super fast. They’re really comfortable and supportive and I love that they’re made of leather so they’re far more waterproof than my other trainers.

I have a narrow-normal foot width and buying the men’s size made absolutely no difference to the width.

Very nice design, good price as well. BUT they aren’t really running shoes, they are too hard for running. And secondly, the extension of the sole at the back is kinda in the way when I use these shoes for walking, it keeps chaving on the ground when I walk.

I think if they reduced it a bit these shoes would make for a much more comfortable walk. Right now I always have to walk in a certain way. A bit ridiculous for shoes that are supposed to be comfortable (at least they aren’t tight and are otherwise comfortable).

Excellent comfortable shoe that suits me as a walking shoe. Seems to me have a longer lasting sole compared to some others. ‘Oxford’ type breathable leather upper. Well padded inner sock. Fair price.

I love the comfort it gives me though its not as soft as I want it to be at the bottom. It’s just like you are stepping in a styrofoam. it doesn’t have the cushion I need but good enough that it’s not thin on the sole.

I have issues with my feet that I would need more padding Or cushion on the forefoot. The wideness on the front (regular size) is great. There’s a lot of room And that makes a huge difference for me.

I like it but I need more cushion. Walking a 5 mile walk for 2 weeks, I have noticed the bottom of the shoe is already starting to wear out. I am not a runner. Still debating between this and Pegasus 37.

Another thing I do not like is the shape in the back. Looks too bulky for me. Overall, because it gives me plenty of room in the front, I still like it.

I have been running in Nike Structures since the 12 came out like 10+ years ago. That being said, I know the style of the shoe very well. It is known for a comfortable ride. Good stability, good cushion.

However, this one was terribly ill-fitting and uncomfortable. just one of the is worst iterations of this shoe that Nike has produced, to date. There is a band around the front toe portion of the shoe that makes it incredibly narrow and tight-fitting.

It doesn’t allow your toes to splay naturally. After a 7 mile run in these shoes, my feet were throbbing. I tried my normal size in wide to alleviate this, and it didn’t help! If you have narrow feet, this shoe might work for you.

If you like structures, go back to the previous model. The 20’s and 21’s are solid.

I’ve had these splendid shoes for 6 weeks, put on 60 miles in the Pacific Northwest, the UK and on runs around Kauai. They’ve been through tropical downpours and thick sleet and snow. First and foremost, they are great running shoes, I love the combination of react plus the zoom air bag.

Nice for the easy runs and good when you pick up the pace. The grip is excellent and the waterproofing impressive, and when moisture did get thru in deep slush, it wasn’t a problem as the shoes are nice and warm.

No sign of wear so far. Awesome!.

This is my thrid pair of these Nike tennis shoes. They fit me the absolute best. They are actually narrow enough so my heel does not slip and a nice wide toe box. Great cushioning as well. I have left knee and hip pain.

I now use these when I walk daily and the pain subsides. Otherwise, without these great shoes, it hurts worse! I know becuase I have worn others and they don’t help. I love the color. The last two were boring grey.

Plus these are water resistant and herer in PNW I need that! HIghly recommend these shoes.

Really nice winter shoe! I’ve been searching for a winter running shoe that is waterproof/resistant for road use and there’s not many options except the Nike Shield options. Everything else has big knobby tread for trail running, but I’ve found those to be more slippery on wet asphalt.

These Pegasus 38 Shields are great! Warm (maybe too warm for California), dry, and grippy. All the siping on the tread really sticks.

I was shocked when the shoes arrived! They are ghastly! Felt super plasticy and just like some plastic mould was slapped on some foam! For 77 euros ( after sale ) the quality us ridiculous! The design is uncomfortable and will grave the skin off the back of your top heel.

Great running shoes, very comfortable, I was afraid they are going to be too narrow but they are just perfect. Excellent for running if you have problems with painful arches. Just regretting not getting another pair as my size is out of stock now.

I’m over the moon with these trainers. They’re so comfy and bouncy, really roomy on the toes, just honestly could not recommend them more. I just wish I wasn’t about to ruin them by running in the woods.

What is happening Nike. I’ve always loved Pegasus shield. My last few pairs have fallen apart quickly though. This most recent pair started to split at the sole after wearing them 3 times just jogging to the gym.

I see that these are made in a country renowned for cheap craftsmanship. Bring back the ‘made in Vietnam’ Nikes.

I received these shoes as a gift for Christmas. Not normally a shoe I would buy myself, but surprisingly the shoes keeps my feet dry in wet weather as describe. I own a non-weatherized version of this shoe that are more comfortable, but they don’t keep my feet dry in wet conditions like these shoes.

My only criticism is that they are a little stiff.

I have been waiting for the new waterproof Pegasus to come out and these are perfect. I love the black shoe with grey soles and touch of orange. Dislike the orange shoelaces. Had to purchase black ones.

Bought these for the Sun Run 10k. The moment I put them on, it felt comfortable with good support all around for an easy and sustainable good pace. I am going to get the Trail version of these as well.

I waited over a month before formally reviewing my new pair of React Miler 2s. They fit well and were beautiful right out of the box, but I wanted to see how they fit and performed on the road and in walking around.

The React foam really fits around your foot and provides pillow like support. In my regular trail walking, the Miler 2 was stable and easy from foot to toe. As I increased to jogging and running, the shoes demonstrated their performance side, with a strong spring coming from every placement and push off, making these shoes fun to put on and spring out on to the road.

The shoe is well padded around your foot, at the heel and with the heel collar, and with its strengthened tongue. While not a competitive runner, I enjoy a comfortable walk or easy run daily in our forest roads here in central Virginia.

I recommend these Miler 2s, as they have made my runs or walks a sheer joy. Thanks for a well engineered, sharp looking and crafted shoe, Nike!.
