20 Best Night Serum For Face (2023 Updated)

I received a tube of this for Christmas, and I love the scent and feel of it. Dr Hauschka’s approach to night care is little different from a lot of other lines: they do not recommend any kind of night time moisturizer.

If you get used to this, you might like it: I am still on a learning curve concerning this concept, however. But whether you use a night cream or not; this serum is a wonderful product. I wake up to soft, smooth, and nourished skin every morning and the fragrance of apple blossom rises up to meet me after I have first applied it in the evening.

It is really heavenly! The serum is not sticky, greasy, or tacky; it dries fairly quickly, and actually helps to balance oils and plumps the skin a bit. I can tell when I have not used it. It adds just the right amount of moisture.

I think I use this a little differently than directed, but it seems super effective. I used it two weeks ago, three nights in a row. It does burn, but that’s going to happen with something that basically has acid in it.

By the next week my skin was super flakey. By this week, the third week, I’ve definitely noticed a difference in acne scars and overall texture. It does give a plumping effect when you’re using it. For reference I have dry skin and suck at washing my face.

If a product can make this much a difference for me with little effort, it feels worth the price. I also use Farmacy cleansing balm and Wishful honey balm. It seems to be a good combo of products. I would say the biggest thing to know is this product is strong, for me it’s more like a peel than a serum.

I’ll use it again next week when my skin barriers back to normal. Definitely like the results. Four stars just because it’s freakishly expensive.

I couldn’t believe it the next morning! After 4 uses I began to notice how my skin seemed retexturized and was so smooth and had a healthy subtle glow. I can’t wait to see what results I’ll see using this for a longer period of time.

My biggest Con. My new bottle is not even close to being semi-full. For $60 I would think there wouldn’t be a crazy amount of free space in a bottle. The product can’t even be seen above the label. That’s how much is missing.

Now looking at other reviews it seems I’m not the only one who has had this issue. I returned to Sephora and reordered from Farmacy so hoping this will be different since I ordered direct. **If you have sensitive skin I would avoid this product.

Now looking at other reviews it seems I’m not the only one who has had this issue. – Has been known to cause irritation to those who are on prescribed medications from a dermatologist.

Since giving birth to my son, I’ve been straggling with dark patches on my forehead and on the cheek bones (pregnancy mask). I’ve went to do the treatments and they only made things worse, because a – they would not work 100% and b- after a while the patches would return even worse.

I’ve been told that this is something I have to learn to live with. Finally, I’ve added a lot of celery to my diet and then introduced this serum. At first, I was happy that things were not getting worse for a while and now more and more I see that they are fading slowely and getting smaller.

I cannot stress how releaved I am and ready to spread the word to all those who have been told that nothing can be done. This product works. As of your second dose, you will start noticing the improvement.

I use this serum every night as part of my skin care routine. I have found it to lightly exfoliate the skin, not being able to feel it, but feeling and seeing a tighter and more smooth skin after each use.

It barely has a scent which I love, and dries very quickly. Feels so silky. Beautiful paired with Koras Noni Face Oil and Glow Bright Overnight Mask. I use all three for a facial feel that’s as smooth as a babies bottom, and removing my harsh red rosacia and dark spot pigmentation.

A must for anyone’s night time routine, and it lasts months. Perfect for the price tag. 💜.

This is my favorite and essential Kora product! The serum is definitely a powerful yet gentle active and suits my oily skin really well. I wake up with smoother, brighter, and plumper skin and my pores are dramatically less visible, it’s amazing.

The ingredients really go to work on your skin so I wouldn’t recommend paring it with other actives like a retinol as it might be too much of a good thing. It’s great for a minimalist skincare routine, cleanse, serum, moisturize.

Every last bit is worth the price!.

Browsing in the Dollar Tree, I came across this night serum. I am very skeptical of what I buy from the Dollar Tree, or Ross, or TJ Maxx when it comes to these kinds of products. I bought a facial product from one of these stores (I can’t remember which exactly) because I do love their beauty products…But when I got home and opened it up, I was reading the ingredients and I was so surprised to see it literally said MAY CAUSE CANCER, INFERTILITY…It did NOT say that on the outside of the box and I was so mad! I felt deceived and disgusted that anyone would be okay with making a product like that, let alone selling it! Anyway, I’ve been using this night serum for a few days now, and although I don’t see a difference yet, I can say I do like how it feels on my skin.

My skin feels nice and hydrated, even when I wake up in the morning! I’ll be going back and grabbing more before they sell out!😍.

This is a great retinol. I saw this a couple months back at Dollar Tree and was surprised to not only find it here on Influenster, but that it got such high reviews. I figured, what the heck, it’s a dollar.

I had just started using a sample of Shani Darden’s retinol, but wasn’t invested. I started on it every three days and still had some burning (and I don’t have sensitive skin); since so many people had said how gentle this was, I figured it would be a good replacement to start with.

I love it. I haven’t been using it long enough to notice a huge difference- I also got Covid and pneumonia, and haven’t even started my routine up again- but short term is awesome. It glides right on, sinks right in, and leaves no tacky or sticky feeling at all.

No redness, burning, or irritation. Says it’s double strength, but it is actually soothing. This must have been made with sensitive skin in mind. Gentle enough to use every night. My one issue is that it doesn’t say how much retinol it actually contains.

It is 6th on the ingredient list, and with it being so gentle, I can’t imagine it’s a high concentration. Still this is a great product and I highly recommend, especially those with sensitive skin that have been skeptical of adding retinol into their routine.

Would be easy to transition to a higher concentrated product from here. My face is sooo smooth. It is also oil, silicone, fragrance, paraben, and phthalate free. Also helps to unclog pores (that got cut out of the pic).

Definitely worth the dollar price tag!.

it is fascinating! I have very dry skin and find this serum to be very moisturizing. I am not sure how this would work on super oily skin though as it might make your face feel overly oily. But for my super dry skin this soaks right in and I immediately feel like I have much softer, suppler skin which is such a great feeling.

I also have very sensitive skin and have not had any issues with this causing any irritation. I even tried pairing it with a Retinol and it still didn’t bother me at all so I am super impressed! I have not noticed it diminishing any superficial sun damage yet as it claims it will, but then I am not really worried about that since I mainly bought it for the glycolic acid in it and for it’s exfoliating properties.

I have been using this nightly for around 2 months now and I am very satisfied with my results. I think as far as a nightly serum goes this one has been the best I have ever tried by far. The only thing I would suggest is not using this if you have oily skin like I mentioned before or if you are in a hurry to go to bed, because it will take a few minutes to dry after application.

This product is very hydrating, and I like that it’s a gentle nighttime serum. It also helped calm my skin during what was probably the WORST breakout of my life, like bordering on cystic acne level and I haven’t had a problem with acne (other than a few zits here and there over the years) in like 15+ years.

That was definitely a relief. Personally, I really liked it and I thought the little sample bottle I got free from Influenster lasted a long time (10ml, no dropper to measure, used almost every night starting late August with very little left now, 10/26 so with that in mind a 1oz bottle very well could last 6+ months for me) I’m not sure I’d be willing to pay $75+ for just the hydrating properties and small boost in radiance.

When I’m seeking an anti-aging product like this, I generally reach for retinol serums – though they are a little harsher on your skin they compared to this, a very gentle serum, I see more anti-aging results with the retinol serum I currently have.

That visibly reduced the “frown line” between my brows, and all but got rid of my smile lines. Advanced Night Repair did not help with those things. So I suppose whether you like it or not, really depends on what you’re looking for.

If you want smoother skin, hydrated skin, more radiance, this serum is for you and you are really going to love it & start to see results after a week or so. But if you’re in your early 30’s, looking for help with fine lines and early wrinkles, loss of plumpness in your face, I’d recommend Sunday Riley A+ Retinoid serum, and start to see results from that after induction + a month or so of continued use.

Despite not having retinol, I’d still recommend it as a good product for certain skin issues like dryness & dullness.

I received a sample of the Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex compliments of influenster and Estée Lauder to use for one week and I liked it. While it is fragrance-free, there’s a fermented scent some might not love though it fades quickly and didn’t bother me.

My skin quickly soaked it up and I was blown away by how deeply moisturized it left my skin, especially when paired with the Intense Reset Concentrate! My skin felt soft, smooth and incredibly hydrated — it even looked more plump and radiant when I woke up.

I was also impressed with the skin barrier repair function and how quickly it relieved my sensitive skin’s retinoid-induced irritation. I was, however, disappointed in the inclusion of sodium hyaluronate over a direct form of hyaluronic acid, which offers pro-repair support far beyond basic water hydration that sodium hyaluronate offers.

That would be my expectation of a hyaluronic acid serum at this price point. This ANR serum seems promising, but one week simply isn’t enough time to see noticeable results that justify the $75/oz price.

As such, I cannot speculate whether it delivers promised results with consistent use of at least 2 months (I’m skeptical of the 72 hour hydration claims). I gave it 3 stars because of the price and the cheaper form of hyaluronic acid.

If you aren’t price sensitive and/or are looking for a hydrating peptide serum, I did enjoyed and recommend trying the new ANR Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex.

The first time I used this I didn’t like it because I used too much which made it pill up and made my face worse. Then my friend told me about The certain acids that my face needs to get rid of my dark blemishes and this had everything.

So I decided to give it a try one last time and I’m super glad I did! This time I used A tiny bit enough for my entire face but kept it a very thin layer. And I mean super thin just enough to make your face sticky.

When I woke up the next morning I couldn’t believe the results and I’m very glad I didn’t get rid of it! My entire face is brighter even my darkest dark spots were light that I was dreading!!!!! So keep this in mind when using the product.

A little goes a long way and it’s better to be on the safe side then putting too much. Because when I started using this product I put too much because I thought I could use a extra boost. That’s not how it works.

Don’t do it LOL debating on using this on my arms because I don’t want to use up the entire product too quickly. Might just use as spot treatment on arms as well.

I really wanted to like this. I got a sample size and fell in love with the scent. It reminds me of bergamot earl grey tea. However, this stuff pills like crazy! It makes me wonder if people giving it 5 star reviews are experiencing the same level of pilling as I am.

I’ve tried combining it with different moisturizers and it just turns into a mess. Even if I just use it by itself with no other products it dries up on my face and flakes off. I prematurely bought a full size version before realizing how frustrating the pilling is and will be returning ASAP.

Disappointing, because I love the smell and idea of it. I’ll stick to Farmacy’s Honeymoon Glow serum, which doesn’t smell as good, but feels much better on my skin and does a great job.

I must be in a major minority here because all the reviews are so positive. I’ve waited a couple months before leaving a review to really test it out. The only positive I noticed was my skin look more glowing in the mornings? But there wasn’t any change with skin texture, discoloration, or anything else.

Also I’ve become especially alarmed because in the past couple weeks, the product is no longer a serum. it has turned into a goopy gel. I’ve only had this for maybe 5 months and it has a year shelf life.

It stays with all my other skincare products, out of extreme temps so I’m very confused by the sudden change in texture. This is an expensive serum and with half the bottle left, I can’t even continue to use it.

Oh boy, I really didn’t want to love, or even like, this product because of its price. I’m a seasoned veteran of all things skincare, makeup, cosmetics etc. and have practiced good lifelong habits to preserve my “youthful glow” (currently in my 60s ;).

Everything from K beauty, ceramides, peptides, premium as well as new and advanced drugstore offerings (and daily use of sunscreen of course). I am an obsessed label reader too, and ANR has some kick butt active ingredients in it.

Without going into too much detail here, this Estee Lauder ANR has done the following for me in its first 30-60-90 days – smoothed the texture of my skin, faded dark spots, made fine lines and wrinkles appear less noticeable, gave my skin a healthy glow, didn’t break me out.

Have any of my other cosmetic preparations done this? Yes. But, not as well, and that’s the fine point here, this ANR is just plain better than the rest. Does it justify the high price tag? Well, yes, in my opinion, even though I’m not rolling in dough, far from it.

I feel more attractive and happy when my face looks it’s best, blessed with good genes hasn’t hurt, but let’s face it in your 60s your skin just needs more attention. I use this serum every night after washing my face apply enough to cover my face and neck (and hands with the leftover) and proceed with an extra step (though not necessary), I apply an additional peptide serum (Ordinary matrixyl or Buffet) over it kprobably more out of habit), then apply a rich, ceramide-based moisturizer, and off to bed.

It’s gentle on my dry sensitive skin, no eye stinging, It can also be used in the a. m. , which I’ve done before, over my L ascorbic acid serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen (works beautifully under makeup), but I’ve since just been using it at night because of its cost.

Either way, once or twice a day, this is an amazing product that works. I’m always on the hunt for it to be on sale, since it has become a staple in my skincare routine and don’t wish to be out of it at all.

I tried this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion. I have always loved Olay products, but the first time I tried the Olay Whip, I definitely was not a fan, there was this pilling effect and it the moisturizer simply formed tiny beads on my skin, which only got worse with makeup on, no matter how long I waited after applying it to doing my makeup.

When covid hit and we started having to wear masks, I got crazy clogged pores because my skin would become so dry and my cycle would only make these breakouts worse, that is why I decided to add Olay Regenerist Whip back into my Olay collection.

Between the vitamin B3 for hydration and the peptides to help with aging and the fact that I’ve never had a breakout caused by an Olay product before it was at the top of my list fast as the first to try into my routine.

The first thing I noticed about the container was the smooth texture and how easy it was to get a grip on both container and lid for easy opening, the second thing I saw made me squeal, a reusable and very easy to sanitize spill barrier! (earth girl side bar; Sustainable products containers has my heart and soul as well as Olay now.

I hope it’s as easy to return an empty container as it is to get them in the store!) When I lifted the seal and dipped a finger inside I instantly felt liquid silk just before the wonderful smell hit me, I could not wash my face and put this on fast enough! My husband is also a fan, apparently the other stuff I used previously made me smell like his grandma, thanks for the heads up hun.

Changing up my skin care products and started using Olay Regenerist whipped moisturizer is hands up the best idea I’ve had in the past few years, and my skin has never looked better for it, even with just using it for a few days before work.

The first thing I noticed on my face was the feel, it felt smooth and nice going on, didn’t cake or pill and it didn’t feel heavy. It felt light and airy and the smell honestly adds an extra perk to my step knowing how good I smell if someone were to get close.

The only negative thing I have to say is I was the pull tab on the seal was longer, as it is hard to get open with nails on.

I tried this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion. This product is labeled and marketed as “hydrating moisturizer with sunscreen” on the exterior product packaging. The packaging details describe the “purpose” of the product as “sunscreen” and its “uses” as “helps prevent sunburn”.

The jar itself removes the reference of “hydrating moisturizer” found on the external packaging and simply states “Olay Regenerist Whip with sunscreen” The product is light-weight and goes on smoothly and absorbs quickly.

It has a strong smell that I found unpleasant, but the smell dissipates somewhat after application. The smell was my first indication that this product is primarily intended for use as a sunscreen, not necessarily as a moisturizer with sunscreen properties.

This impression was further reinforced by reading the directions on the packaging that state to “apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure” and to “reapply at least every 2 hours”. I did not test the product’s sunscreen capabilities and cannot comment on its ability to prevent sunburn.

This doesn’t appear to be a product for everyday use as a moisturizer, especially if it needs to be reapplied every 2 hours, but rather specifically for use as a sunscreen. I believe that the product packaging lacks complete information that would allow a customer to feel confident that they are purchasing a product to suit their needs.

This product would best be referred to as a “sunscreen” instead of a “hydrating moisturizer with sunscreen”. I would not use this product as a daily moisturizer and since it needs to be reapplied every two hours to maintain it’s sunscreen properties, I would only use it in that capacity if I was not wearing makeup.

I tried this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion. The product I tried out was the Olay Regenerist Whipped Moisturizer SP 25. According to the box, it came with it; it’s supposed to not only help moisturize your skin but also help protect it from the sun.

My experience with using this product has been pretty great. I have combination skin and tend to have dry spots in random places on my face, but with this moisturizer, they have gotten better. Appearance: Out of the box the moisturizer comes in a cute palm-sized bottle that has a red bottom and a silver lid.

The aesthetics are pleasing to the eyes and do make one feel like they are about to use an expensive product. Twisting the lid off the product I found there to be no safety seal, which disappointed me a little because you don’t know if the product has been used or not.

I took a star off due to this. The consistency and texture of the product are nice and have a whipped feel to them when taken a bit in your hands. It feels rather creamy, not sticky at all. It doesn’t leave any residue on your face or leave any oily or sticky sensation.

In using this product I like how you don’t have to use a lot of it, a little goes a long way, with this moisturizer. I was able to cover both my face and neck with only a single swipe of it. Scent wise there is a very slight scent to it when bringing it up to your face, but that immediately goes away when applied.

Now, as far as protecting your skin from the sun I think it does pretty well. In my experience, without applying SPF, every time I go out in the sun and come back in, even if it’s for 15 minutes, I have a new freckle.

Using this product however, has protected me from this. I probably need a stronger SPF, but this one isn’t bad, especially since it’s a two-in-one kind of product which is great since it helps save you money, and moisturizes and protects you from the sun.

I recommend this product. What I really love about this product is how the jar fits into your palm, it’s definitely portable and can hidden in your purse or bag. I think I’m whipped for this product and can definitely see myself buying more of it in the future.

I really wish I would have taken before and after pictures. It’s taken about 3 weeks to see a noticeable difference, so stick with it. The first week I saw some plumping but it disappeared within a few hours.

I almost changed products but decided to finish the jar because I don’t want to toss money and it moisturized well. I’m so glad I kept with it! Hopefully it continue to improve the appearance of my deeper wrinkles the way it has with the fine “11” and crows feet lines.

About me. I’m a 48yr old female, with fair skin, an ex smoker of over 15 years, who spent the majority of my time in the sun as a child and young lady. Due to all those years of being in the sun, definitely didn’t reapply sunscreen if used at all, I have some freckling and other noticeable sun damage.

I still spend a lot of time in the sun but now I make sure to use sunscreen throughout the day, my favorite is ROC Multi-Correxion Hydrate Plump Moisturizer SPF30 since I can reapply it throughout the day without feeling oily and weighed down.

My goal is to lighten up the “marionette” and smokers lines around my mouth and tighten my saggy aging skin on my face and neck. It’s not as bad as some ladies my age, but it’s also not as good either.

When I was in my 30’s people were always shocked at my age, they told me I looked to be in my 20’s. People still say I don’t look my age, but I think the neglect is starting to take its toll and I feel I do look my age.

I’m don’t want to look like I’m 20, 30, or even 40, just a glowing 40 something without the traces of my smoking days. About six months ago I started using ROC retinol, but have since changed over to The Ordinary.

5% Retinol in Squalane due to the higher concentration, I’ll up to the 1% in a few months as my tolerance increases. I also use The Ordinary AHA 30%-BHA 2% 1x a week and Naturium Glycolic Acid Resurfacing Gel 10% 2x a week.

I use the Glycolic Acid Gel in the morning and wait about an hour before adding a Vit C serum and ROC moisturizer w/ SPF. I give the retinol a night off the day before use the peel and top off these serum capsules with a Rosehip Seed/Argon Oil mix using NOW brand rosehip seed oil and Shea Moisture Argon Oil.

I purchased these because I wanted to have a little extra moisture after using the retinol since it was drying me out a touch when I bumped up the concentration. I tried several other products before running across these little gems.

I liked Cera-Ve but it was bit irritating. I loved the idea of moisturizing plus getting some plumbing while the retinol really gets going, I can take 8-12 months for retinol to really start working.

As I said before I loved the moisture it added but the price didn’t justify that alone. At 3/4 the way through I’m really seeing a difference in the fine lines and they haven’t shown back up anymore.

It’s possible that it’s from the retinol and other products but doubt it. I have skipped a night here and there and notice my skin just doesn’t look as nice as when I do use it. I originally planned to switch over to a different product when these were gone but I think I’ll give them a couple bottles worth more time to see if the benifits get better.

When first applying I felt like it was going to be a greasy mess, but I gave it a few mins and absorbed well. I find that it absorbs best when I spray a mist of water or rose water into my skin before applying.

Between the oil in the Retinol and this product I rarely need another moisturizer.

I have been using this Roc Retinol Correction skin product for about three weeks, and I love the results and improvements that I have seen in my skin. First, I like the individual little capsules of serum.

not only are they pretty, but they help keep the product fresh (I tend to worry about jars of products getting old, contaminated etc. ). Each night before bed, I simply break-open one of the capsules and massage it into my skin.

It absorbs quicly, and does not leave any sticky residue. Within only a couple of days of using it, I notice that bags under my eyes had tightened, and that my skin appeared more hydrated. the winter dryness had gone away.

Now after three weeks, my skin feels smooth, is firmer, and I continue to see obvious improvement in the bags and lines around my eyes (the under eye pooches have tightened, lines are less noticible etc.

). I am very surprised, and happy with how effective this product is. The reduction of my undereye bags helps me to look younger, fresher, and has now made this skincare product a daily must for me. Overall, I am very pleased with both the quality, and the results.

This is something I will definitely continue to use as part of my daily skincare routine.

I got these to smooth out the lines and wrinkles that come with aging, and they do work great. They come in a little glass jar with a total of 30 little plastic feeling capsules. Each teal capsule contains a small amount of this amazing serum! The capsules themselves are made of biodegradable plastic, and the little tops are very easy to tear off.

The serum itself is odorless and colorless, and spreads evenly and easily over my freshly washed face! It covers effectively, and easily. I love that this serum is colorless, and odorless. It is also non greasy, and makes my skin feel smooth and fresh.

I have used this serum for over 2 weeks daily now, and it seems to be helping. My skin feels smoother and fresher, and I feel like it has more elasticity and is drier and there seems to be less wrinkles.

In my profession I see coworkers daily, and they have commented noticing less fine lines and wrinkles. I enjoy using this, and I plan on getting more of these capsules to use in the future. I have also recommended these to friends have noticed the difference, and they have expressed interest in getting some for themselves!.

Best anti aging serum I have used so far. Smell like heaven non sticky. And I have already started seeing results in a month Usage

Ya I could my skin is so soft and supple after using it. But I’m not sure abt anti aging properties bcoz I have used it for past 10 days.

I use Skinceuticals serums AM and PM. I feel they are EXCELLENT products. They are expensive, but they last approximately 6 months each. For everything else, like my moisturizer, sunscreen, etc, I use drugstore or Ulta brands which help offset the cost of the serums.

Ive used these products for years and have been very happy with them. While the pictures are not flattering, I am 73 years old and feel the puckering and obvious wrinkles are age-appropriate.

I first tried this when I received a sample, and I liked it so much that I bought some. I also like the fact that Anti-aging Vancouver sells both sizes, since the smaller size is more affordable. I know I will want to buy more; it is a luxury but it makes my skin feel great.

I have tried a few brands and they have left my skin feeling dry! I put this on and I feel soooo moisturized! When I wake up, my face still feels moisturized and soft. Folks have been telling me my skin looks good and I definitely think this night serum has contributed to the changes in my skin.
