20 Best Night Light For Toddler (2023 Updated)

My install was for a flight of stairs at night. Other lights I’ve tried only have a single detector whereas the Wyze Night Lights are interconnected and thus work whether going down or up the stairs at night.

The install was as easy as it gets, using the included no-residue double-stick tape (3M like) and the included magnetic plate, the magnet holds well. The lights inter-linked easily during the initial set-up and all three lights turn on within fractions of a second of one another.

The light color temperature is a very pleasant 2700K’ish for nighttime. The motion sensor range and ambient light detection are well balanced, effective in performance without excessive activation. The USB-C style connector is a plus.

Only one feature keeps me from rating it 5-star. I suggest a tweak to the set-up option, allowing users to choose whether to use only one or both sides of lights. I prefer using only one side (the bottom/downward) to illuminate the stairs without shining upwards to preserving dark adjusted eyesight and double the battery working life!.

The new night lights are fantastic! I’ve found several locations to utilize them where there are no electrical outlets available. We even placed one on the bathtub for those night time trips. I will note that I added a “sticky note” cut to the size of the back because the slippery surface of the tub allowed it to rotate towards the heavy end of the night light.

When needing the tub the nightlight is easily removed to the counter until you are finished. We also placed one on the return air vent for our HVAC system that is under the thermostat. It is a dark area so it helps illuminate it for temperature changes or that late night trip to the kitchen.

We also have placed them on the route to our restroom for the convenience of the soft lighting and it automatically turning it’s self off. The brightness of the light is sufficient for finding your way in the dark, and not blinding to sleepy eyes.

The battery life has been excellent with only one needing recharged since installed upon receiving them. We have not used the “linked” feature, but I can see how great it would be for a stairway. They are easy and quick to charge.

I would highly recommend them to anyone considering purchasing them.

The light is a soft white light and bright enough for a night light and that is pretty much where my good review ends. The add is very misleading and implies alot that is not there. These lights measure 3 1/4 inches by 2 inches by 5/8 inches thick.

They mount using built in magnets and a stick on metal plate. I bought 2 boxes (6 lights) and over half of them barely stick to the metal plate. They rotate to odd angles and just barley hang on. The link feature works properly occasionally, not every light comes on when one is triggered.

There is absolutely no mention in add that once these lights are triggered, if there is no further movement sensed, the lights only stay on for approx 8 seconds. Wanted to use these for my toddler to light the way to our room if she wakes in the middle of the night.

That’s not going to work. I fell in love with the wyze cams. I use a V2, V3, a wyze cam pan V2, and a wyze lock and key pad in my home and love them. I really expected more from wyze. Misleading advertising to get sales is not an approach that instills confidence in your brand.

Has me second guessing any future purchases. I have not had these up long enough to speak on battery life which has been a common complaint. I have had them long enough that i cannot return them, so i took them down and just gave one to my toddler to carry around and play with.

Waste of my money and time.

I was super excited to get this for my little guy. The things I loved about this light is that it turns on and off by itself which is awesome so the batteries don’t go dead as quick as the ones you have to turn on/off.

It’s not too little and not too big either. The only thing my little guy doesn’t like is the fact that it’s not that bright at all. He can’t even really see in front of him with just this light. I love that it’s not that bright though.

If your looking for something that is going to light the entire room but with a dim light this isn’t the night light for you but if your just looking to add a touch of light so your little one doesn’t get scared in the middle of the night this is the perfect one.

I also love that we don’t have to plug this one into the wall, it can sit right on his nightstand.

My son loves Bluey the cartoon so I assumed he would really like a flashlight play toy of it as well. It takes 3 triple a batteries which I thought was alot. It does have a timer so eventually it shuts off on its own but not soon enough.

I feel like its just a battery waster of a toy. There is no on off switch and you can’t switch it for the flash light to the whole toy lighting up. If you want the whole toy to light up it has to be set flat on a surface once picked up it turns into a nightlight.

I like that the entire toy is a squishy rubber though nice for a 2 year old how throws things I feel like it’s less likey to break. If it shut off sooner or had a on off switch I’d like this flash light more but batteries are expensive and you will go through alot of them with this light.

Shipped fast but a little disappointing, 2 out of 4 of the units already have ‘burn out’ – blackish dead spots spreading from the middle to the edge of the light.

Mini Green Always On LED Night Light (4 Pack) was exactly what we needed. They provide a bright light to guide our way. Thinking of replacing our other night lights with these.

This was a disappointment. Do not buy from this shop if you’re looking for a handmade item- very obviously made in a big factory. It was smudged and didn’t look good altogether.

This is going to be the perfect gift for a baby shower. We wanted to give our friends something they would desperately need in the early days and it is so cute!

Our 3 year old suddenly became afraid of sleeping in the dark, and friends recommended this night light to us. It’s a nice soft (yellow) light so isn’t harsh like a blue or white light. He loves having both the penguin and egg on, and we have them set up in slightly different locations in his room.

It’s very easy to dial the lights up or down, and the egg’s battery easily lasts through the night. It made a big difference to his sleeping, so we are very happy :).

I got this for my 2 year old who has started to cry out at night time and want reassurance. He named the Penguin Bertie and loves bringing the little egg into bed for story time. Since Bertie, he has slept better! I like that both the Penguin and egg are dimmable and that the Penguin DOESN’T have a timer.

I needed something that would stay on all night and not switch itself off when he woke. Note there is NO timer on this at all. something I don’t personally need. A bit strange that no adapter is included but again not an issue for me as I had a hundred old phone chargers lying around.

These two things might might a downside for someone else. All in all, exactly what we needed and at a great price.

This light has been amazing. I struggle to sleep with the lamp on and need the light on for my newborn baby. This is the perfect light not too bright but can see my baby. Also it has different light settings which is great and the detachable egg when I need to see him and try not to disturb my partner.

Best thing I have purchased as a new mummy so far. I cannot recommend enough.

We have had this for years now hench the photo. My daughter loves it and uses it every night. It’s been thrown, slept with, ontop of for years and this little guy is still kicking. I think I’ve only had to change the batteries once in 4 years.

We use it for sleepovers or just because. It’s not super bright but not very dim either. We love that it automatically turns off after some time. This way it’s not wasting any battery use and by the time it shuts off the kids are already sleepy.

It’s easy to turn on and off, lightweight but durable. We would definitely buy this again in a heartbeat!.

We have two of these. One for my 4 year old and one for my 2 year old. They are a life saver. The timer is perfect so the battery doesn’t die. They are only in their beds long enough before sleep that they only have to renew the light once at most.

It’s great for middle of night wake ups. It’s prevented me from having to come into the room a couple of times. They have also used them for camping in the living room as well as when the electricity goes out.

Anyways, this thing is pretty much all pros. It’s a great level of light, battery life, and usage.

Bought this to help deal with some ‘fear of the dark’ sleep issues and it’s helped tremendously. Kiddo loves it and proudly announces they’re no longer afraid of the dark when using it. Have had it about 4 weeks and seems durable – it’s been dropped several times and zero issues.

We love that the lighting is bright enough to provide visibility without being glaring. The auto-timer is a fantastic feature because we don’t have to worry about remembering to shut it off as we sleepily stumble out of kiddo’s room.

At the birth of my daughters last child, I wanted to provide something that would make middle of night diaper changes and feedings easier and less disruptive. A silicone night light that turned on with a tap was just the trick, enough light for the 2 or 3 am feedings are easy without the regular room lighting and a quick diaper change without waking up the little one.

This pregnancy has brought new challenges, but the light helps with a feeding tube and braces on the babies hands and feet. It help to maintain a quiet peaceful night. My daughter does a great job with my 10th grandchild, this grandson and his brothers love the dinosaur and all the colors that the light provides, mom likes the peace and quiet.

My grandaughter loved it. Her favorite color was purple. We charged it when we first bought it to make sure it worked & then put it away. We found it should have been recharged before we tried to use it again as it only lasted about half an hours when she went to bed.

I love this light so much I wanted a 2nd one for my daughter. the first one cane and the base wouldn’t charge. returned it and ordered a 2nd one. the cord wouldn’t fit into the base. the input was bent.

so I have ordered a 3rd one because it is a great light.

Its a pretty nifty toy, I love the patterns it makes on the ceiling, though I used tape to block out the red LEDs because they were to bold for me. As others have said, it is fairly dim, but when the main lights are off, its plenty bright enough.

Its feels cheaply made, but it works great, I’m a happy customer.

The reason I got this was because it moves. It is lovely and my grandson (2) enjoys watching it. We have very small rooms, and I could not imagine using it in a larger room because it really only works well in a small area.

Its quite bright so no need to leave other lights on. Ample light to show the way. I got these lights because we have two holiday lets and people always leave bathroom/landing lights on all night. This has really annoyed me – hence the purchase of the night lights.

time will tell how good they are if the lights stay off they will have been worth the money.

Kids love the colour changing feature which can also be constantly set on each colour by pressing the button on the front. Pressing the button again reverts it back to the original colour changing mode where it goes through the whole sequence of colours.

This night light is adorable! My girls love the unicorn theme and their names on it. It gives off the perfect amount of light. I also love the flexibility of the night light outlet. You can spin it which ever way your outlet faces.

I also really love the switch to turn it on and off. I gave it a 4 star only because I didn’t realize how too heavy the device is. It’s not plastic, which I glanced over the description of the device when I bought it.

I would buy it again no problem. Just wish it wasn’t potentially breakable.

The light stopped working about a month after starting to use it. I was hoping I could fit the shade on a different night light but I couldn’t do that. I returned it (only option) but wish I could have ordered it again since it was personalized with a name.

It seems such a waste to reorder but that’s what I plan on doing.

Very disappointed. It looked really cute, but the ceramic casing doesn’t securely attach to the night light base. It just kind of balances precariously on top. In addition to a poor design, mine did not work when it arrived.

I tried it with a new light bulb and it still did not work. Had to return it.

This is my second purchase of this nitelight. They shed an amazing amount of light for containing only 1 LED bulb. They are light sensitive so only come on when it is dark where they are placed. No remembering to turn on and off.

It provides just the right amount of light so that he can go on his own to the bathroom in the middle of the night but also creates neat stars to encourage him to lay down and begin to sleep! Most night lights have one setting and it is typically not enough light or way too much. We have been very pleased with this night light and recently purchased an additional one for my youngest son!.

Env: development This night light is a must for a child who does not like being alone in the dark. When my child was only one years old, I noticed that he would cry out for me when i turned off his lights in the nursery.

This was creating problems because I was not getting enough sleep and neither was my son. I bought this Safety 1st night light and I plugged it in to his nursery. The light was soothing to him and he was able to go to sleep more easily at night.

The light is nice because I am able to decide how much light I want emitted from it. The light has a sensor on it too. This is nice to have with kids in the home because the bulb in the night light is enclosed.

When my son gets curious with the light, I do not worry that he may burn himself when he touches it. It is easy to plug in to the outlet on the wall too. The bulb in the nigh light lasts a long time even when I use the light everyday.
