I absolutely love this product!!! I’ve invested money with other brands, they cost more and didnt see any results. After just a few days I noticed a difference. I rushed back Walmart and purchased two more bottles.

I am a smoker of over 40 years, so lines on my lips are terribly deep. I’m now on my second bottle and wanting to purchase more so I never run out. All of the high end and celebrity endorsements for products that show no results when used as directed.

I’ve been using this product every single day for seven years and it made a HUGE difference in my skin. It took away fine lines and some deep wrinkles, completely. The overall appearance of my skin has changed and looks amazing compared to before.

It’s packaged correctly- dark container so no light can get through, small hole so it’s not exposed to air- which can ruin retinol If not package right. It’s light weight and sinks into skin quickly.

It’s not greasy at all. I even use it as a primer. It’s not a high concentration of retinol, but enough for over the counter. It does dry out my skin, which means that there must me a good enough percentage of retinol in it.

Obviously it’s not as good as prescription retinol, but my skin is too sensitive for prescription retinol, so I’m glad I’ve found this. I’ve started using it twice a day, opposed to one and it’s working even better.

The price is somewhat reasonable. My prescription retinol, which is much stronger, was actually cheaper though. However, the company Roc retinol refuses to tell their customers the percentage of retinol.

Which is a bad sign. If you search hard enough you can find the actual percentage from dermatologist websites. It is a pretty weak percentage, but surprisingly does work. Especially if you can’t handle prescription retinol.

Despite the percentage being low, the concentration must be pretty good because it has actually made a big difference in my skin, and drys my skin out. If retinol doesn’t dry your skin out it’s obviously not a high enough dose to work.

I took the skincare quiz and bought this product recommended by those results. I used this for about two weeks and at first it seemed great! Then I started noticing that the edges of my lips were super chapped.

I was treating the regular way I normally would but I couldn’t get them to heal. I had a rough few days and didn’t use the face cream and my lips started to feel better. Once I was feeling better, I started using it again and my lips started chapping on the edge again!! Only worse.

This time I got full on blisters and peeling skin around my entire mouth. I have stopped using the cream and will be trashing it.

The smell is unusual but thats not really a problem. I could only wear it for about 20-30 minutes and then I had to literally scrub it off, like wash my face a second time with cleanser. It not only burned my face as in super red skin drawn tight major sunburn feeling, it also caused MASSIVE deep cystic acne that I normally never get to pop up deep and painful and huge in that short time frame.

I luckily still had a couple nights worth of my old moisturizer saved just in case, and literally it was a life saver I did. Put on my normal stuff and it instantly soothed the pain. By morning the acne this cream caused was almost gone and no longer hurting me.

Returned to the store and never buying this again.

When I tell you that I have struggled with adult acne, I mean I have STRUGGLED. Since turning 20, my skin has been going crazy with stress breakouts and hormone changes- it hadn’t been horrendus though until we moved about 9 months ago.

We moved to a city that had really hard water that was destroying my face and my self esteem, I saw this guy on sale online and decided “why not” and let me tell you what. It has helped with keeping my acne under control and I honestly think it has helped fade my acne scars (of course not all on it’s own- in hand with the rest of my routine).

My confidence has returned and I have this little guy to thank for part of that. I only gave 4 starts because the bottle is so little. I would love to see it in a larger one 🙂 OH! For reference I have combination skin.

Okay so this lotion is apart of the body shops tea tree products and unlike the foam face cleanser this night lotion is actually quite promising. It worked really well for my dry skin (which I’ve been getting the past few weeks due to alot of air conditioning being summer) and overnight this gem reduced redness and the acne swelling and overall reduced my breakout.

Although I’m only 3 weeks in it works well on dry patches and my breakouts have minimised and it leaves my skin looking healthy next morning aswel as hydrated. Cons? It runs out fast I’m nearly halfway through on my 3rd week (once nightly usage) but its worth the price but I’ll probably get a bigger version if there is one.

There is oil on the skin the next day so if you have oily skin make sure to wash the skin the next day morning after waking up (even though you should do this anyway, no matter what you put on the night before you should always wash it off the next morning).

Pros? It does what it says it promises to do and meanwhile helps my pores virtually disappear. It works wonders the next day on my skin when I apply my makeup. Would I recommend? Yes I would to those with dry skin and acne or with dry combo skin.

However I would recommend to those with oily acne skin but also remind them that it does leave oil on the face but if they want their acne resolved and don’t mind excess oil than this is okay to use.

I have recommended this to my sisters and my friends as this product is a gem. It is very little for the price you pay but when it comes to acne I say it’s worth it.

I feel like this product would be better if the formula wasn’t so thick/concentrated. It’s far too strong to use as is, it just sort of sits on top of my skin and does not really absorb well. The only way I can really use this and not have a huge breakout afterwards is to dilute it with a Cera-Ve moisturizer.

I cannot use this consecutive days in a row without over drying my skin. I cannot use this in my skin care routine if I am going to use The Ordinary’s Rose hip oil at all it pills up. I have not noticed any acne fading while using this product, very disappointing and will not be repurchasing.

I’m on my mid 30s and I feel like retinol is a must have. No wonder retinol is called the “holy grail” of skin care. I started resuming the use of retinol, specifically this low strength from Skinceuticals recently after doing a bunch of research/ watching dermatologist do their reviews of retinol.

Please don’t make the same mistake that I did when I first started using retinol. Back then all I keep hearing was “retinol is good for your skin” as it speeds up the cell turnover process. Without doing any research or advise from providers I went full force, I used the maximum strength 1.

0 with the mindset that “the stronger, the better”. I suffered from what they called “retinol dermatitis”. I have a sensitive/ acne prone skin. I was using the maximum strength every night. In a matter of few days, my face turned red with heavy peeling and worse breakouts.

I stopped using it and spoke with a provider. I got traumatized from using retinol and told myself I will never use it again! After recommendations from friends that have glowing skin and watching reviews from dermatologist online on how to use retinol properly, this time I came prepared and gave it another shot.

I started with the lowest strength from Skinceuticals, specifically this 0. 3 dose. I prep my skin with a mild cleanser followed by a “pea size” amount of retinol then apply triple lipid restore cream.

Yep, all you need is a pea size (please don’t same mistake I did). I use the retinol initially once every 3 days then now every other night. Omg, my skin has never felt so great! I can notice the difference already and will continue using it.

My breakout is lessening and my skin appears smoother. Overall condition of my skin is better! For now, I will stay with this strength and keep using it every other night.

I gave 4 bcuz I just only used this product nearly 2 wks now. In term of efficacy to reduce wrinkles, sun spots & hyperpigmentation too early to tell. After reading about the side effects of tropical vitamin A I was a bit nervous to try it out.

Originally I was thinking of using it once a wk for two wks then step it up a bit as recommended by most dermatologists. The first day I had it on after serum & moisturiser to avoid or minimise the irritation, redness, dryness etc.

To my surprise I didn’t get any side effects, 3-4 days later see nothing bad happens to my skin I decided to scaled to 3 times a wk with no side effects (touched wood). From then on I don’t use the layer method instead after I double cleanse to get rid of my mineral sunscreen (I don’t wear makeup) I wait until my skin is completely dry (1hr) I go for the serum moisturiser & eye cream.

Maybe my skin can tolerate this low concentration 0. 3%. If after a mth still no side effects I might go for the high concentration of 1%. Good luck to me.

it also plays well under makeup. i do want to point out that it’s not as heavy duty as many night moisturizers are. i use this as my morning skincare and use a thicker product at night. i personally do not find this moisturizing enough for my nighttime routine.

if you do choose to use this during the day like i do, remember to use spf! this has hyaluronic acid in it.

Oh, my God. I wish I had taken before and after pictures. I didn’t think to do it because I wasn’t expecting to believe the hype. This product is magical. I have been chasing glowy, dewy skin my entire life.

Spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on makeup and skincare. This serum has given it to me. As a beautician, I have access to the best makeup and tools on the market– I no longer go out with makeup on because my natural skin looks better than makeup.

Retinol is a product that should not be used during pregnancy or if you have sensitive skin. Talk with a dermatologist if you’re unsure at all. Notes: Do not use more than 3 times a week or it will cause negative reactions.

Layer with matching retinol cream for extra strength. Be VERY careful when using other acids in combination with this product– any exfoliating acid will burn the skin. To get an ethereal glow from this product, it is important to layer it with toner and moisturizer.

I use Watermelon Glow toner and switch between a few moisturizers (Tacha, Beauty of Joseon, Mizon, etc).

After 2 weeks of using the line, especially this and the serum together, fine lines have improved drastically and my skin never got irritated, flakey, or dry and I have naturally dry skin.

It’s $82 but well worth it in my opinion. This lives up to all the claims and I saw results quickly. This has also prevented new lines from forming and has made my skin bright, bouncy, and young!.

I love this retinol moisturiser cream and I highly recommend this product to those of you who have very sensitive and/or reactive skin and find it hard to adjust to vitamin A products. My skin is used to vitamin A, having used retinol and trentinon for few years but some products can either irritate my skin or break me out.

This gentle yet effective formula is ace and thicks all the boxes. I use it in top of the Retinol Youth Renewal serum once dried and I noticed results after 4 weeks. My skin looks clearer and more youthful and I didn’t experience any irritation such as flakiness and breakouts.

Wonderful product! Goes on like SILK! Not sticky or heavy whatsoever. This product produces REAL results and has done wonders for my skin. I can almost feel my skin absorbing the product immediately.

I just turned 30, and have been using Olay’s facial products for the past 10 years. I remember being a little girl, and my Grandmother raving about her “Oil of Olay” cream and how important it was to moisturize before bed.

Needless to say, I took her advice, and my skin looks great. The Olay brand is truly timeless and unbeatable!.

This product caused bad contact dermatitis on my face! Red, swollen, I just hope it doesn’t get worse. I’m very careful with products I put on my face so I only applied to my forehead, just to make sure it didn’t give a rash, and darned if it didn’t! I had used this before and it slightly irritated my skin so I stopped using it.

I had recently ran out of my usual moisturizer so I thought I’d give it a try again, but this time it’s a full blown rash. I don’t usually have reactions to products so I’m not sure what is In this cream to cause this.

Oh well, a lot of people seem to like it, but I’ll stick with my usual moisturizer from now on.

This is the only retinol I’ve ever used that made my skin look amazing! My skin looks young, smooth and lines are dramatically reduced. My makeup now goes on flawlessly the next day. For reference I’m mid 40s and have previously tried many retinol products including Shani Darden, mad hippie, inkey list, Murad, Biossance, La Rosche Posay, Ordinary, and Sunday Riley both the A+ and Luna.

This one is life changing. It is so much more effective than than anything else! The only thing to note is that it’s the strongest OTC product I’ve used so I started using too much initially and had to back off.

I consider myself an experienced retinol user as I have used it every night for the past 3 years. But this one I can’t use every night yet. I backed off to 2 nights per week now. So start slow because this actually works! And if you’re new to retinol you might want to put it over your moisturizer instead of under, to start.

25% concentration and I did not feel I was seeing much benefit. So I was very excited to try this! I fell in love instantly! After the first night I woke up with hydrated skin and a smoother complexion.

After continued use for 2 weeks I noticed my fine lines were diminishing and I was seeing improved texture on my skin. After previously using a much lower strength retinol I did have some slight irritation when using it every single night.

I helped heal that with hydrating serums and face masks. However as much as I loved it I do not think it will work well for all skin types. I personally have combo/dry skin and I will say it again I LOVE this product.

But if you have oily or sensitive skin this product may not work well for you. Now for the price point… As much as I love it, and will continue to use every last drop out of the bottle sadly I will not repurchase due to its current price point of $119 at SephoraUS and that is just a tad out of my budget.

I would recommend waiting for a sale. But if you can afford it, I say go for it!!! This is definitely a splurge worthy item! Pro Tip – If you are new to using retinol or have previously used a lower strength, start this product slow! I recommend using a very small amount all over face once every 3 days to give your skin time to adjust.

Wow. This is an excellent product and one of the better formulations Strivectin has to offer. If this was fragrance free I would be rating this a full 5 stars. That is my main gripe with this brand- I would take them a lot more seriously and obsess over their products more if they would drop the fragrance! I am currently using prescription Tretinoin so I have put all of my retinol products on pause and haven’t been using those anymore for the last 8 months since I don’t need to use both.

But lately I’ve been eyeing retinaldehyde based products since they are stronger than retinol (retinal is a conversion step ahead of retinol which means your skin has less work to do to convert it to the active form which is retinoid acid.

AKA tretinoin). I used this product two nights in a row (DO NOT recommend doing this if you’re new to retinoids) and wow. on the third night (that I skipped) my skin looked very very smooth. Very similar to if I had used Tretinoin two nights in a row.

Now. the price. Do I recommend this? Not for the price. Unless you can get this on sale I don’t recommend this. $119 is just bonkers. I would go for the Maelove retinal serum instead. I do like the ingredients in this product but I wish they had skipped the fragrance.

I am 46 and started to see a change in my skin with increased aged spots and wrinkles. I used retinol based creams in the past and they have been successful. This brand and night cream leaves the rest in the dust! I will be using it forever! I saw and felt results after my first use! I love this product, helped moisturize my skin as it has started to become dry but did not cause any oiliness. It was also very effective in controlling my hormonal breakouts too. I saw overall improvement in a week and continued improvement over the following year.

You don’t need much, so the product should last for about 8 months and is worth the price. I love trying new products all the time but just repurchased this because i have not been satisfied with anything since this product.

I have extremely dry skin. I use this, and I definitely don’t have to worry about my skin feeling dry. But I do have to worry about it being greasy. This is a night cream but you want to use this a couple hours before you even go to bed because this sits on your skin.

I wake up the next morning, and it still feels like I have it on. However, considering I do have really dry skin it does help in that area, but only while I actually have it on. I wake up and still feel it and can’t put my makeup on over it because it’s so heavy, so I have to go and wash my face, but then as soon as I wash my face, my face immediately feels dry again.

Maybe because it never actually absorbs into the skin. But, there was I time when I was using it consistently and I did see a positive difference in my skin. And that, I did like.

Although I have seen some great reviews for the Murad line of products, and have tried this one, and a few others, I am sorry to say that my skin did not like it at all. it never seemed to soak in well, and if I got hot and began to sweat AT ALL it just kind of ‘slimed up’ on my skin and felt greasy.

I began to have breakouts, which I had not experienced in years. I do not have sensitive skin, so I found it a bit strange and decided to ‘experiment’ with it. I discontinued use, and the blemishes went away.

I began to use it again, and the breakouts occurred again. I stopped again, and the blemishes stopped too. Nothing else in my regimen changed, so I truly believe it was the Murad product. I am terribly glad that I got it as a free sample, since it is extremely expensive.

On the positive side, it made a nice hand cream, with no ill effects. It is clear (by other reviews) that the product can be used successfully by many, but if anyone has had similar issues with this ‘primo’ cream, you aren’t crazy.

it IS the cream. Absorption On my face, it got super greasy (slime-like) whenever I got hot. Doesn’t Clog Pores I got breakouts whenever I used it. Effectiveness As a facial treatment, it was just awful.

As a hand lotion, not bad, but I would never spend that kind of money for hand lotion!.

I really did not like this. It’s yellow in colour and would always stain my pillow sheets. Its also very oily, just not great. In terms of improving my skin, it didn’t do much, so for the price and the staining aspect, its a no from me.
