20 Best Night Cream For Rosacea (2023 Updated)

I’m not experiencing an allergic reaction to this new formulation as others have reported, but I’m disappointed in the new formulation. It’s definitely not as nice as it was, I’ve been using the old product for years and years and loved it.

This new formula is a bit sticky and it gets flaky or peely on your face. It’s okay, and I have a few bottles so I’ll use them but I will most likely try other products as a replacement to the older formula.

Such a shame, why do mfgs do this? They could add a new product line, instead of changing a long time product that has great sales. Ugghhhh. The marketing people are listening to young people without the experience.

This stuff is horrible. I bought it because I ran out of the intense hydration night cream with clary sage (I’ve used it religiously for 4 years). and found out that *that* has been discontinued when I went to get a replacement jar.

I can’t believe how awful this one is; it’s Burt’s Bees, I expect good things. However, this one sucks butt, and smells like it, too. Not sure why but the cotton extract/other ingredients create a kind of rotten clay scent.

Very unpleasant. And the texture is similar to water, which is the opposite of what’s wanted in a moisturizer. It’s so thin and watery it can barely be scooped out of the pot, let alone applied onto a face.

It takes roughly 10 minutes just to work in one layer because it sits on top and moves around instead of actually absorbing. And after all that, my face still feels dry, just now with sweat and nasty smelling liquid sitting on top.

Do not buy this. I can’t believe they stopped making the night cream and expect people to be satisfied with their other products which are clearly not up to par.

I have SUPER sensitive skin, my mom had gotten some of this and thought I should try it because my face is so dry. I tried it ONCE and my face felt like it was burning from it! The next day I woke up and my face was red! Even with it saying moisturizes without causing redness or irritation.

However it caused MAJOR irritation with my skin, I felt EMBARASSED going to work at Walmart with the redness on my skin! Thankfully no one really noticed! I have tried the chapstick before and it had made my lips burn, my mom thought it would be fine that it was different, but NOPE it was worse! Trust me I’d give this a 0 Star Rating if I could!.

Lovely, rich night cream. Not oily or difficult for skin to absorb. A little goes a long way, so the price is worth it given the high quality of the product. And the smell really is that little bit of luxury you need at the end of long, stressful day – it’s gorgeous!! This cream falls within the recommendation for my age range, 30 – 40, so I wouldn’t choose any other Weleda night cream from a wider selection.

My mother always used Weleda – it goes back a long way (the 1920s!) and was natural, cruelty free, and fair-trade long before it became fashionable. It’s pretty expensive in general, but I know that I’m paying for a high quality, ethical product.

I’ve been using Weleda hand cream for years, but the Wild Rose Soothing Night Cream has become a new favourite for me. This beautiful and super rich cream really smells like roses, as you’d expect when it’s main active ingredient is wild rose oil.

It’s beautiful and I find the soft – not too strong – scent helps me get to sleep, though that could be the evening primrose oil. Rubbing gently into clean skin has become something of a ritual for me and though it’s definitely not cheap, it’s so concentrated you really only need a very small amount – pea sized.

It soaks in quickly and leaves the skin feeling soft and hydrated – especially in the morning. I also use it in the décolletage area. My hormonal breakouts have disappeared, and I do feel like I’m looking more vibrant with a glow, though I haven’t really noticed after a few weeks, any changes to my wrinkles (but who could tell – I like my wrinkles anyway – they show I smile a lot).

I think that this product would be idea for older skin as it’s really very rich and probably not so good for oily skin. However, for mature, dry skin, I can think of no finer night cream on the market.

This eye cream treated me well. I picked it up and my local Marshall’s in a whim, and was overall happy with results. I ended up using the full tube. Took about four months to use up fully, using most nights of the week.

As for results this really was moisturizing. My under eyes felt smooth and this def helped warn off any future wrinkles. Can’t say I saw any improvement on existing ones, but overall very happy. I do believe this helped with puffiness, in the mornings my eyes seldom looked puffy— unless I had been drinking / eating poorly—This ain’t gonna save you! I have pretty bad dark circles, this really didn’t do anything to improve them— not that it claims to do so— but this was great as a second eye cream layered over another with more active ingredients.

Nice consistency, not at all thick, blends and absorbs easily. Nice rose smell, not over-powering or faux floral smelling. Love that this is cruelty free.

Purchased this cream at my local sprouts. I’ve been using the day time one, cream is thick and I have not noticed any reactions to my face. I do have sensitive skin. So first time using this at night and within a few seconds I felt my face and neck skin tingling and hot burning sensation and my face and neck got all red.

I used about a dime size of it. I immediately washed my face and neck and felt better. My face was still red and irritated. I don’t suggest using if you have sensitive skin.

When I first came across this brand I couldnt wait to try it. The ingredients list looked great, theyre super affordable, and they have lots of great options for different skin types that can be used together.

I also love that theyre cruelty free. I used this for several months and while I dont think its a terrible product I also dont find it to be great. The first issue I had was this face cream doesnt absorb well into my skin, in fact I had pilling every single time I used it.

My second issue is this didnt help with any of my dark spots, like at all. I used this consistently every night for months and no noticeable improvement. The fact that they dont list the percentage of vitamin c in any of their products also makes me wonder if it is even enough to make a difference.

Third issue is the last ingredient on the list. Its essential oils. It doesnt even list which ones they are. I didnt even realize this when I purchased this and other DermaE products but found out the hard way when my oldest daughters skin reacted badly when she tried it.

Essential oils can be very irritating to skin, especially those with sensitivities. I wont be purchasing again.

The smell is unusual but thats not really a problem. I could only wear it for about 20-30 minutes and then I had to literally scrub it off, like wash my face a second time with cleanser. It not only burned my face as in super red skin drawn tight major sunburn feeling, it also caused MASSIVE deep cystic acne that I normally never get to pop up deep and painful and huge in that short time frame.

I luckily still had a couple nights worth of my old moisturizer saved just in case, and literally it was a life saver I did. Put on my normal stuff and it instantly soothed the pain. By morning the acne this cream caused was almost gone and no longer hurting me.

Returned to the store and never buying this again.

I use this in tandem with the daily serum. It is not inexpensive skincare, but I use discounts and rewards to offset the price. I have to train myself to use a little less of the day serum because I tend to be more is more.

As for the night cream, it is easier to make last a while and have been using this every night. I love the consistency and love how using both products are making my skin so much more hydrated and full.

I am going to start using my regular retinol product a few nights a week in addition, but it has that already, the MEP technology, shea butter, etc. I love it! :).

This is an amazing cream for dry or dehydrated skin. It soothes and moisturizes even sensitive skin and it’s so calming to my skin. It leaves my skin radiant and refreshed but doesn’t feel heavy or greasy.

It gives just enough moisture and it’s so beautiful for even the warmer weather coming up. There’s no sunscreen so make sure to add some on top of you are going to use this cream during the day. It’s a luxurious and beautiful cream.

I have very dry skin and this night cream relaxes and moisturises my skin over night. Although some creams seem to tighten the skin I find that relaxing any lines has a better effect on me. I use a serum underneath.

I find it keeps me young looking (I also use the day gel) and most people who do not know my age tend to think I’m 10-15 years younger. Which admittedly can be a disadvantage at 76!.

I’ve used this product before, probably 15 or so years ago when I had some irritation, and back then it was great! My skin has changed a LOT since then (gone from oily to dry and sensitive), and I decided to give this another try.

It caused some stinging sometimes, but that happens with my skin because of rosacea. But then I realized it was drying me out. BIG time!! I had removed other products from my routine thinking they were chasing the dryness, but then I finally realized it was this.

It just goes to show everyone’s skin is different, because I know overall this is a great product. It’s just not for me.

I have tried this about 4 times and love a few things about it. First, I have mild rosacea and my skin can sting and flush with some creams. So far I have not had this reaction. The texture is creamy but NOT greasy.

It takes away the dry feeling but is absorbed so as to leave no residue. I love that it has NO SCENT. Heavy perfumes are common in other lines and nauseate me. I would recommend this product as it is very hard to find fragrance free face moisturizers and some that have no scent actually stink.

Overall, the Aveeno products I use are quite good and the oat idea is excellent. I do wish Aveeno would discard the use of perfumey scents, even if “natural” as to me the fragrance free sells the line in part.

I also love that this product as no petroleum which I react to, even in a body cream I get a rash.

I’ve been looking everywhere for a night cream/moisturizer for what seems like eons. I passed on the unaffordable designer night creams and just worked my way through the supermarket or pharmacy shelves.

When I saw this on ebay – probably the only one I hadn’t tried – I thought “WHY NOT?” End result is that Aveeno Naturals Ultra-Calming Nourishing Night Cream (Fragrance Free) is everything I wanted in inexpensive packaging.

The night cream is smooth to the touch and feels like velvet on my face. It doesn’t lay on top of my skin, it’s absorbed, which is exactly what I wanted. (Who wants to moisturize their pillow, right?) A little goes a L O N G way.

And the size of the jar is more than the usual 1 ounces offered. This IS the Magic Bullet~.

I have combo-dry, sensitive, acne prone skin and this stuff saves me. I use it day and night because it’s super hydrating without being too heavy or greasy; it dries down pretty quickly. I don’t have issues with using this even under makeup once it dries down; it helps with making my makeup look good, actually.

I personally see that my skin is smooth and my acne and facial redness calms down to goes away completely if I continue to use this. It’s amazing. I love that it is relatively affordable yet has amazing, skin friendly and proven ingredients (unless of course if you have a personal allergy to them which unfortunately can happen but doesn’t negate its effectiveness for most).

It’s really not necessary to buy those expensive creams and needing to spend a fortune on skincare to get results is a myth. It’s all about the ingredients and CeraVe does this well at an affordable price, which I am super grateful for.

I am sorry to say that this product smells absolutely horrible. I thought I was purchasing an all natural product, but evidently, this night cream has something in it that is not only unpleasant smelling, but unhealthy to apply to my skin.

The smell was so repulsive that I had to wash it off after only 30 minutes having it on my skin. For me to have such a compelling urge to wash it off, is my body’s way of telling me that it is not healthy to use.

My skin looked plumper the next day, but I know instinctively that this cosmetic result would have huge health repercussions for me were I to continue to use it! I know you worked hard to make this product, did your research, and tried to create a viable facial cream.

But I ‘beseech’ you to go back to the drawing board. Find out what is in this product that will ultimately make many women sick. They will not even think to link their illness back to you because most people do not have my understanding of wellness and warning signs.

Karma is a very serious thing. If you make thousands of people sick with this product, there will be a huge consequence for that. And please, the next night cream you make, please make it pleasant smelling, like a mild kiwi scent, mild citrus, or berries.

Really lovely cream. My skin is sensitive. Feels natural and pleasant on the skin. Hardly any smell. The only thing I would mention, that it probably feels heavier in the summer and I would enjoy it even more in the winter months.

It is only because my t zone is quite oily and it does feel a bit too heavy for the pores in the conbination zone. Great value for the product amount and quality!.

I love this a lot. It’s the only moisturiser my very sensitive, dry and pimple-prone skin likes. I don’t break out using this and it makes my skin soft and clear. Love that it’s not scented. Whenever this is on sale I buy a few jars.

Please don’t stop making this, and please don’t change the formulation!.

Received as part of winter beauty box. Im not a fan of rose scents, or scented skin or cosmetics generally, but i find the scent is subtle enough that you cant really notice it much. Im quite sensitive to scents, even naturally derived like essential oils, so im happy to say this is subtle.

The moisturiser feels nice and quite aqueous, it sinks straight info my skin which is normal to dry leaning. It does leave a slight greasiness on the skin, so probably better as a night moisturiser.

This is pleasantly creamy and moisturizing without feeling too heavy or bothering sensitive skin (although my skin isn’t terribly sensitive most of the year, so take that with a grain of salt). It smells, as others have noted, quite nice and floral.

That said, if you’re sensitive to smells, I would recommend caution, because the rose scent is quite distinct. I don’t find it unpleasant–no headaches or other negative reactions, which I do often get from scented products–but it does take me a few minutes to stop actively noticing the smell.

I never write reviews. Even if I like a product I will always try another one in search for the perfect one. However, I have been using this product for the past 2 years. I have tried so many other lotions/creams, but my search for finding the perfect face cream was done after I found this product.

I love this night cream! I have combination, acne prone, and sensitive skin (turns red easily). It hydrates my skin but doesn’t make my T-zone oily. I do not break out when I use this product (which is HUGE for me).

I am less red when I use this product, and my skin tone has become more even. Here are some objective statements about the product for those who read reviews before buying the product: -This product has a scent – roses.

When you first put it on it is fairly strong, but the smell dissipates quickly. You cannot smell the scent once it is on your face. -This product comes in a jar (as seen by the picture above), and does not come with an applicator stick.

That doesn’t bother me since I wash my hands before using, but it may bother some. -This is a thick cream, but it does not feel sticky when you put it on. If you prefer lightweight face creams, I would recommend the Day Cream version of this.

-The jar is small (can easily grab with one hand). However, a jar lasts me about 4 months.

Complimentary from Dermalogica. I was really excited to be gifted this product to try because this brand is a favorite of mine. Sadly, I had to discontinue use of this product because it was irritating my skin.

I used it for a few days, and I developed red itchy patches on my cheeks. Once I stopped using it for a few days, my skin cleared up. It might have been the licorice in the product, or another ingredient, that caused the irritation.

I have sensitive skin, so I’m prone to reactions with ingredients I’m not accustomed to. Other than that, the texture is great. I think it would be a lovely product for someone else who can tolerate the ingredients better.

I’d be interested in trying a different vitamin C product from this brand.

This product was gifted by Dermaologica. The formulation of this cream is absolutely top-tier. The ingredient list is incredible, so many brightening and skin tone evening ingredients paired together.

To list a few we have vitamin C, Niacinamide, Hexylresorcinol and pumpkin enzyme. After using this cream at night, I woke up with brighter skin, that felt moisturized and plump. I really enjoy creams like this, because as your skin is resting at night, it also can be working hard to treat things like hyper pigmentation and acne scarring.

It has a nice soft texture and it doesn’t sit heavy on my skin. Overall it makes me look and feel luminous and I really enjoy this cream.

I have used other brightening products through the years. They all were pretty harsh, with potentially harmful ingredients. So I stopped trying to find something to even out my skin tone and help fade scarring and sun damage.

Then, on a whim, when I was ordering other Dermalogica products I’ve been using for decades, I decided to order the Powerbright Overnight Cream. I’ve been using it nightly for about a month now and can say definitively that it works! My night routine starts with the Daily Microfoliant, followed by the Retinol Clearing Oil, which I let soak in for a couple minutes.

The Powerbright Overnight Cream goes on next, with the Nightly Lip Treatment on my lips and mouth area added last. By morning, my skin looks dewy, smooth, clear, and bright! It looked and felt smoother after the first use of the Powerbright Overnight Cream, Then the old scars and sun damaged areas started fading after the first week.

A month of use has progressively made complexion overall much more even and bright. The best part is that it’s not at all harsh. On the contrary, my skin feels nourished using it.

Just received my Geologie 0. 3% Retinol Night Cream. My first night cream in almost a decade. I can honestly review with truth that I can and do see and feel a difference. My face is noticably clearer and I feel like there is an afterglow effect during the day from using 0.

3% Retinol Night Cream. I didn’t use it too much at first to ease into the retinol so I don’t burn my face in the sun but I can and do see a difference about after one whole month after starting the 0.

I’m not someone to review but this product deserves it. I have tried many skincare products from over-the-counter stuff to customized products from other companies. None of them seemed to work which actually made me think twice before getting geologie and I’m glad I did get it.

The last skincare regimen I tried from some other company caused breakouts on my face after a week of use but Geologie literally cleared them and more. I talked to Andy and asked him if we can increase the speed at which the night cream works so he upgraded me to the next level of night cream right before my subscription is supposed to start and I’m excited to start that.

Night cream takes some getting used to if you haven’t used retinol-based products but my skin got used to it as soon as I started using it. + attachments:

I’ve been using the night cream for about 5-6 weeks along with the rest of the entire regimen that I was sent. The routine guidelines state that this may cause irritation or dryness but I experienced none of that and in fact it increased the oiliness on my face about 1-2 hours after application.

I also noticed far more breakouts on my temples and near my nose in the mornings after having applied the cream the night prior but I will attribute that to my skin reacting to a new product. Of all the products from the regimen this one reacted the most with my skin and has taken the longest time to settle and become adjusted.

Overall still a good cream as the areas that did not breakout became more supple and balanced, will continue to use it as I’m interested in long term results. + attachments:

This cream is now my favorite of the many Derma-e products I love. It’s rich and lush but nothing like other thick creams that can be shiny. This one absorbs right into my face and is immediately matte.

It makes my skin feel so nourished. Some people have said in these reviews that it has an odd texture, and it does, but that’s what makes it wonderful. It’s effective if you want to use just a tiny bit or (as I do in winter) a real dollop.

Though I now also use the Anti-Aging Day Cream (and the Anti-Aging Serum), sometimes I use this Night Cream in the morning if my skin feels dry or somehow stressed. I used the Firming collection for years, and still occasionally do (along with the Vitamin C line), but at age 58 I’ve made this Anti-Aging line my go-to.

I credit it, and the new exfoliating pads, with the compliments I get all the time about my skin!.

This is a great night cream for those who have sensitive skin. I have rosacea and my skin didn’t react to this cream at all. And this moisturizes very well too! I do not normally spend this much on skin care, but Maribel Cicogna at Nordstrom-Ala Moana Center gave me a sample to try-before-I-buy.

I have SUPER sensitive skin and rosacea. I don’t know what caused it, but my face got beat red…I think from a different skin care line I tried and I got rosacea pimples everywhere. Everything I tried made it burn and get more dry.

This and the Rescue Elixir cleared it right up and my skin has never been so smooth and looked so good (at least at this age). Totally my new skincare line. I want all of it!!.

Sensitif Repairing Night Cream is such a pleasure to use. It is light and refreshing and makes my skin feel so soft and smooth. My hyper reactive skin loves the gentleness of this beautiful cream. I’m so glad I changed to ReVive Sensitif.

If I was deserted on an island and could bring only 1 cream, this miracle in a jar would be it! Instantly my skin is hydrated, plumped, given radiance and with erased lines. A little goes a very long way, two small dabs will do entire face and even neck.

The cream is on the richer side in texture but upon application it pleasantly melts into the skin. It is not greasy and nor does it sit on top of the skin with an oily film. The scent is very light perfect for night time.

To be honest I even wear it during the day, especially during winter when skin feels more parched and dry. Highly recommend and in my top 3 Omorovicza products.

Few years ago I had problems with irritated, angry skin and was using all possible anti acne treatments but everything just seemed to irritate skin further. Took me time to realize that I have rosacea and sensitive skin not acne.

To save my skin I did research about most gentle and least irritating products and came across Omorovicza products. Together with other products from this brand, this was my go to night moisturizer for almost 2 years.

Only looked for alternative products because single brand skincare was too expensive. Very rich product, I did use it in altered days with other Omorovicza moisturizer that was more liquid. Would by again.

As I have oily and shiny skin, I often find it difficult to find moisturising products that are designed for my skin type. I was absolutely delighted with this luxurious day cream, which is designed for all skin types.

It is fast absorbing and does not leave any sticky residue. In addition, it is lightweight so my skin does not feel heavy when using. It offers sheer luxury to the skin with its premium ingredients which smooth, soften and hydrate the skin with just one use.

I am highly impressed as it offers all day moisturisation and leaves my skin feeling comfortable all day long.

I love this moisturizer. I have sensitive skin so I am very careful with the products I use. I would say I have sensitive/combination skin as sometimes I am more on the dry side. With this moisturizer a little bit goes a long way, but since it is more of a gel texture rather than creamy I like to lather on a little extra and really rub in my skin till it is dry.

I put on face and neck, sometimes chest too. I have been using for about 2 years twice a day after I cleanse. Great for under makeup before a primer. Makes my skin glowy, smooth, pores smaller and minimize any rosacea flares/ breakouts.

I would definitely recommend.

I recently took a quizz on the Mario Badescu site and was sent samples for a full face routine based on my answers to a quiz. This seaweed night cream was one of those samples. It smells so clean and fresh.

it reminds me a bit of a vintage soap but I can’t quite place it. And this cream is THICK. A small dab and your face is more than covered. The texture changes as you use it. It’s easy to apply and it leaves my skin super moisturized well into the next day.

I’ve seen this recommended as a dupe for la mer. After trying both I can see why but I like this one better hands down. If you’re looking for a thick night cream and have some trouble with skin on the dryer side, I’d definitely go with this one.

I use the Hyaluronic Dew Cream in my morning routine if I am not wearing makeup or going outside. The HDC leaves your face feeling super soft and looking very hydrated. I’m amazed every time I look in the mirror hours later at how moisturized my face.

“Dew Cream” is such an accurate title because that is exactly what this is. I received a sample first and tested it out. I loved the results and read the reviews. I was a little nervous about buying the full-size product because I saw people report irritation to sensitive skin (which I have).
