Noob – but awesome so far! Seems to track straighter & slip faster than the other kayak I’ve paddled so far lol. Pro-tip – while the included console dry box is great. get some white duct tape (temporary fix – maybe some latex based paint later?) to cover the dark/translucent top.

Was ~80F, mostly sunny, decent wind, popped it open to take some pics with phone. phone immediately shut down due to overtemp, and it was quite warm to the touch (didn’t even know it would shut itself down!).

I didn’t quite juggle it, but something metal might’ve gotten to that point. Thing’s like a little oven from the factory. 2nd trip with aforementioned tape application (though, less sunny), seemed to remedy the problem nicely.

Absolutely MINOR nitpick, but at this price, you’d think it would’ve been addressed by now (2 year old design no?) from the factory? Can’t believe I’m the first to note this. Special shout out to PaddleVA shipping/packing/wrapping crew AND Old Dominion freight.

Thing was wrapped like a friggin’ champ, and arrived in absolutely perfect condition. You’d think they (all parties) also ship Faberge’ eggs in their leisure time!.

We’ve had a few different kayaks and the Pungo 120 is, by far, the most comfortable. It’s easy to maneuver, tracks well, and we love the deck feature. The easily adjustable foot pegs have been an unexpected bonus as is the cockpit padding for your legs.

Our only complaint, our rear hatches aren’t sealed properly. I thought it may have just been mine, but my husband’s is the same. We’re on week two of a six week cross-country trip, so dealing with warranty stipulations is a hassle.

Kind of disappointing with new (not cheap) kayaks.

Tarpon 105 Review Last weekend I went kayaking with my family with the Wilderness Systems Tarpon 105 kayak. I kayak a lot but usually with a different kayak. This time I just wanted to try a different kayak.

When I first started paddling the kayak, I realized that it seemed a little heavier than some of the other kayaks I have paddled. Because of this extra weight, it was a little harder to paddle. It felt like I was paddling a barge.

It just felt really heavy and slow. Another thing was the handling of the kayak. It was very hard to keep going in one direction. It felt like with every paddle it would go the opposite direction of where I wanted to go.

However, there were a few good things about the kayak. The seat was very comfortable. It was the best kayak seat I have ever sat on. Another positive thing is the stability. Usually when getting into a kayak it will wobble a little bit and I would have to find some balance and then get into the kayak.

In this kayak, I could sit down with relative ease. Overall, I would say that there definitely are some positives and negatives about this kayak but for me the negatives outweigh the positives.

I bought my Tarpon 105 from Black Creek Outfitters in Jacksonville in 2021. I love the light weight and size. It’s easy to load and transport. It is very comfortable. Tracks great. Really unexpectedly great tracking considering the size of the boat.

I have had a major problem with mine. The straps that hold the back of the seat have broken twice now. The first time, the place I bought it replaced them for free. Now they are out of business and the Wilderness System website says they don’t make the part anymore which is puzzling since stores are still selling this boat.

I am searching for at least a replacement strap. At best a new seat. I would not recommend it until this strap problem is correct.

Handles nicely and the tracking is great. Love the multi-adjustment seat, secured tackle box, and magnetized bottle holder. It would be really nice if scupper hole plugs came with it for all that money.

Thanks for enclosing the holes under the seat tho. There’s no way to secure anything in the front dry well. A friend of mine has a 2018 Tarpon 100 that has eyelets in the dry well so you can at least clip something in.

All in all it’s a really nice kayak and I’m loving it. Thanks Appomattox River Company for your Covid-19 safety precautions when loading my kayak.

Great design with great paddling characteristics. Tracks well and has good glide. There are some minor molding blemishes that do not affect structural integrity. Also, the the tabs on the small dry box are not wide enough to hold the box firmly in place.

Not really a problem, but a bit disappointing. Overall, this is a good all-round paddling kayak – with the basic equipment and stability for fishing, but with enough speed to make recreational paddling fun.

This kayak is top notch, the price tag is high ($995) but you do get what you pay for. Our previous Wilderness Systems kayaks have been in service for about 18 years and still look new. One of the design improvements is the integrated and recessed kayak handles that replace the previous handles that were made of fabric and needed to be replaced annually.

They have also included a dry box and improved the foot pedal adjustment system to move more freely. There is also a dry box and cargo lids that are hinged so they stay attached to the boat. The 120 size is definitely the way to go!.

My new kayak arrived after 7 business days and I had it on the water several hours later. It is everything I was wanting, good speed, stability and tracking. A really balanced boat. I’m 6’2”, 285 lbs.

and I had some water coming through the scupper holes. I expected this from the reviews I read and the boat still felt great. I’ll be buying some scupper plugs for sure and I’ll buy them from Cedar Creek Outdoor Center because I’m so pleased with my purchase from them.

I bought these to replace the gauges on a 1996 Baja 180 Islander. These are the same gauges that were originally in the boat. After installing them, I noticed the volt gauge was reading low a little more than 1 volt.

I checked the tachometer vs. two different RPM testers and the tach reads 200 rpm higher than actual. I suppose as long as you know what the gauges are indicating they should be ok. The gauges look great and installed with no issues.

Nice gauges. light up nice, and easy install. tach. meter is hard to figure out which setting for 60 HP 4 stroke(poor direction) or maybe it’s the installer that’s confused? Any input would be appreciated.

they are nice looking and im not 100% sure they will work im just doing the install right now the first thing i have to deal with is that they are not plug and play at all and you do or will have to do some adjustments to how they hook up.

the the pulgs do you fit the new gauges so you have to pick cut the wires or grind down the post. is suck and is a big time pain.

First, opened the box to check it out but no build yet. Second, the bright red plastic! Not sure about future painting – guess it’ll need a good primer? Physical size is quite small but should be possible to add a few extra details.

At this price point don’t expect great detail, it is basic. As noted in another review, there will be a fair bit of flash clean up. Didn’t notice any badly molded parts. Still, it should be a fun build.

Have only just started. So far things going well. Not much experience building plastic models so really have no source of comparison but seems simple enough. Decent quality and clear instructions. Had to buy 11 different paint colours so this added to expense.

Never thought to look into this beforehand. I’m sure I’ll be satisfied with end result.

Molded in red, it’s a classic kit as soon as you open it. The kit goes together in only a couple hours with no real problems, and some minor seam filling, giving fair detail for such an old kit. It comes with a stand, so you can see the whole ship, or you can sink it into some foam for a diorama.

Nice either way. This kit includes crew figures, though they are very small (obviously) there is enough detail to seen what the crew is up to on deck. I’ve always loved tug boats and was inspired to build this after watching a youtuber build this one.

(QDC) search the kit on YouTube and there are a few build videos there to enjoy.

I put a GPS in my completely stock boat. On 4S it ran over 40 on 5 s it ran nearly 50 on 6s it runs 60 but will overheat. It is thick and sturdy also heavy but that helps keep it on the water. Handles well need more runtime.

This is my first rc boat and it is great. Very stabile with plenty of power. I researched a few forums and other reviews of other boats similarly priced and found this to be the best value. It has very good fiberglass molding, the electronics run nice and cool on 5s 5000 mah lipos (3s on the left and 2s on the right that counteracts the toque of the motor), and it rips arounds turns at a good speed with out flipping over.

I didnt have to set up anything out of the box, i put in batteries, connected the reciever, and had it in the water in 20 minutes.

The boat is well built, runs great and fun to drive. The hull is well painted and looks great, but the paint does chip pretty easily so be extra carful not to bump anything while driving it. This boat is great for beginners to intermediate hobbies.

Don’t waste your money. Caught fire on the second run. Buy a oxidean marine or a traxxas. Horizonhobby customer support is terrible. Ended up buying a new power system myself. Haven’t even owned it a month.

Great looking boat! Swap the stock prop with an Octura x440 or stock Blackjack 29 prop and add some washers or a spacer as needed. This prevents it from running too hot on 6s. Remember to grease the flex shaft (prop shaft) each time you go out and take it out after a run, wipe it down and let it dry.

Also leave a 4-5mm gap at the prop shaft end where the white washer is to allow the flex shaft to shrink under load. It doesn’t turn sharp in small areas b/c it’s a hydroplane. FAST boat!.

I keep looking at this boat over and over and hoping that I’ll find more reviews. Getting ready to step up to the pro level but a little leery. It seems like the boats I’m looking at all have issues out of the box like overheating because of the prop and more Etc.

This is a nice, classic boat with a sleek design and ample room for the two minifigures both in the cabin and on deck. The underwater element is very small but adds a nice detail for the divers to interact with.

Personally, I’d prefer if it were at least double the size, though, which would only take about ten extra pieces. If you have extra sand, rock, and seaweed pieces (or can get to a LEGO store brick wall to get them!), I’d definitely recommend expanding it.

Despite the low piece count, there is quite a lot going on with this set, which facilitates play both on the boat and underwater. It’s a great set to play with at the beach, too, although there are a few small pieces that could float away.

Having the divers actually dive is obviously the best part of this set, though, and you’re certainly not limited to the underwater element provided. Even if you can’t get to the beach, use a table as the water level for the boat (optionally with the water-themed playmat from the LEGO store) and a chair or floor as the ocean floor for the divers to explore.

Add shells, deep sea monsters, or plants for seaweed and have fun! The bulk of the yacht is a single piece, and the rest of the build, including the underwater element, is very straightforward. There are some stickers to contend with, however, and the long ones which go on the side of the yacht will require some finesse.

A significant amount of your $25 is going into the single hull piece, so don’t expect to be building anything other than a boat with these pieces, but if you like boats, this is a solid choice. You’re also getting a couple of nice minifigs with hair pieces and helmets and several accessories, such as camera, video camera, water bottle, and watermelon slices! The amount marine life is a nice inclusion, which certainly adds to the play value.

I bought this for a fish tank I was starting for my son. I’ve been wanting to put Legos in a tank for a while and Im happy to report they do amazing. This set was well designed with some cool accessories.

My son had fun playing with it before it went in the tank. The set has been in the tank for a few months and is holding up well. It cleans nicely when algae inevitably starts growing on it. Definitely a good buy regardless of how you play with it.

6 years ago I bought a Discovery “GUIDE” 119 from Dicks sporting goods in Texas. It had a small dent on the left side. An appropriate discount was applied and I took it home. I made some adjustments to the seat angle and added adjustable foot braces.

Had room for my gear, dog , and me. Took it down several class 3 rapids, handeld great. So, image my surprise when I ran across the OLD TOWN Sportsman’s Discovery119! Got a fair price match deal on it a DICKS.

Very excited with the upgrades! Plus my wife has taken a liking to my old GUIDE! They are the same hulls , so handling is the same. Stable, cruises flat water well, tracks like a canoe I use a double paddle 240cm and really like the armrests.

Haven’t caught that big lunker bass, but that’s ok. I love chilin in my 119.

I spent years kayak fishing with different models, each with it’s pros and cons. Got this several years back as a spare and for the wife to use on camping trips. Now she won’t let me use it as she likes it too much.

I’m selling all my kayaks and getting a second one. It’s light, easy to load on the truck, holds tons of fishing gear. Quiet on the water, tracks extremely well, fast (faster than any of my kayaks – wow), and looks good to boot.

As a note, I’m on the Gulf coast in Texas. Most of my trips are still water – slow rivers or back bays. This really fits the bill for what I do. It is better than any fishing kayak on the market.

So I ordered this canoe from Cedar Creek Outdoors in Georgia, I live in Canada but local dealers were all sold out, with long wait times to get more in so I ordered online. Old town would not accept my Credit card, so I had to go with a box store.

The one downside I have to say about this canoe is it’s fit and finish. It’s not amazing. It’s a high demand time for them with plenty of stock issues right now so I am sure they are rushing these builds as much as they can and it shows it.

The rivets on the gunnels especially near the bow and stern are not at all seated fully, and the edges are super wavy. Won’t affect performance, but it isn’t something to brag about at all. All in all, I’m happy with my purchase.

There are things I wish were better, but nothing in life is perfect so we move on!.

We got the set and it was not bad to install but the speedometer is bot working. We dont want to pull the whole set back out for return. We cannot find a way to contact the seller to get a replacement speedometer.

I’m looking forward to upgrading the 47 year old gauges with the new Faria SS Chesapeake gauges.

Great little cabin boat kit. Lindberg made in america quality and it shows. Only thing I wish is that it’s too bad it isn’t a little larger, say like 24 inches and that way my eyesight wouldn’t be an issue.

Beautiful little cruiser and I’ve always wanted one of these for real since it first came out from Owens boats but couldn’t afford the two motors, let alone the boat as well. But, this will be a nice little addition to my curio cabinet.

I have been building various types of models for at least 50 yrs. and this is one of the worst I have ever bought. The parts are not molded properly and don’t fit together. I am sending you photos, so you can see what I am talking about.

This is one model that should have been left as an example of why some models should never be released again. Too much flash and warping of major hull components left me with a pile of parts that is now in the trash.

Good model, reasonable for the price. The only minor negative is that the figure (person) that is supposed to sit on the bow just slides off.

Great kayak for this first time owner. I picked this model because of how high the seat is. All the kayaks I sat on at stores were very uncomfortable and the Recon 120 is by far the most comfortable.

The seat is cool, comfortable, and the angle of backrest easily adjustable. It is well-laid out and plenty of space for gear. Just took a 4 day paddle/fish/camp trip in northern Wisconsin and all of my gear fit – 2 fishing rods, tackle, food, tent, sleeping bag, thermarest mat, and backpack – with room to spare.

I did need a slightly longer paddle due to being so high out of the water but the company from which I purchased swapped them out for me free of charge. The kayak is pretty heavy and had to use my Kayak Kart for portages.

The Kart made it easy to push on the trails and up and down hills. I really recommend this Kayak and couldn’t be happier!.

Despite minor imperfections from the manufacture but this kayak rocks! I took it out yesterday and brought in several big fish, just having this front hatch was worth the money to keep my catch.

For me It’s hard finding places to put fish on a kayak and usually the stringer bounced me all over and the weight was making me lean, no room top side do to limited space. I’m disabled an ankle injury which affects my balance but in this yak I felt comfortable enough to stand up Turn around and stake a few steps.

Lastly, I didn’t get stiff, there is room to stretch and flex no more Charlie horses for me! Tempted to buy a second one, but they are hard to get. – I’ll buy from cedar creek anytime and have to say they quickly became my favorite online outdoor store.

I’m a long term sea-kayaker, but I wanted a smaller sit-on top for myself and my girlfriend to use with space for our dog. After a lot of youtube research, I concluded the Tarpon range looked well made and had great reviews.

I can confirm that this is a VERY well designed kayak, the hatches and handles and small details are excellent and well thought through. The seat is comfy and has excellent back support. The hatches have levers to secure them so you dont need to struggle with wet hands getting the edges over a lip etc.

The kayak itself tracks AMAZINGLY well through the water, with minimal drag and excellent tracking. You could paddle a good long way in a day on this without tiring too much. I should add that I’m a chunky lad of 6″2′ and 120+ KGs and I float ok in the 120! Bigger folk might want to get a 140.

Great experience overall, the Kayak came in basically perfect condition (there’s one very small nick, near one of the rails which is relatively unnoticeable). Shipping was easy as well, PaddleVA set up freight with Old Dominion (OD), they gave me a call to schedule a drop of time and was seamless.

Even the driver was very pleasant and gave me a hand with unloading it to my drive-way. The kayak came wrapped like a tank, (the driver actually made a comment how he was even surprised by how well wrapped and protected the kayak was.

Overall a 6/5 experience (caught a nice pickerel on it’s maiden voyage as well).

This is the second kayak I’ve purchased. My first was the Pelican Mustang 100x. The first two things I noticed are the beauty and the outstanding quality of this Eddyline kayak. Describing Eddyline’s attention to detail is almost impossible without actually seeing one of their boats.

Beautiful! Assembled to perfection! On and off the water, the Eddyline Skylark is as amazing as other owners say! On the water, the cockpit is roomy enough to easily get in and out of the boat, it’s easy to prop up my knees, or straighten them under the deck.

Dangling one foot over each side is easy, too, and sometimes pretty comfortable. I keep a 5 L dry bag in the cockpit between my legs. I use the deck bungees as needed, they are sturdy and stretchy, but so far they aren’t usually needed.

Besides, I reallyenjoy the view over a clear bow. Behind the comfortable seat is ample storage. That’s where I usually store a dry pair of shoes and a garbage bag to pick up any trash floating in the water.

The foot pegs in the Skylark feel extremely sturdy, and they’re easy to adjust. Another important detail: the seat is super comfortable. I’ve dialed it in to suit me, and paddling non-stop for a few hrs is a breeze.

One of my favorite characteristics of the Skylark is how easily it glides through the water and also rises smoothly over a boat’s wake. The bow just eases up and the boat follows over the wakes and small waves.

So far I’ve experienced 1’ ft waves, and they were no challenge for this Eddyline. Having dual bulkheads and clean lines really pay off in the water! This is one kayak that is worth every cent.

I ordered my kayak the day after they announced the introduction for the new Eddyline Caribbean 14FS. I loved everything this 14 foot sit on-top kayak offered for hours upon hours of paddling and fishing I planned for it on a mix of smooth flat water lakes, various rivers and coastal waters along the Connecticut and Rhode Island shore line.

When I picked up my new kayak I immediately put in into the water not 10 minutes after getting my hands on it. This kayak has exceeded my expectations by far! Its a true pleasure to paddle and glides through the water beautifully.

Recording, practicing, playing out. Purchased at a music store, so tried it, fell in love, and brought it to a new forever home. Those people who were helping me choose had several acoustics for me to try.

Once this 322ce got into my hands, I couldn’t put it down. I might have passed up some other really nice instruments that I never tried, but I know this is the perfect guitar for me, hands down. Something about the tone and the feel of this guitar.

And being a 4’10” female, the size of this guitar with several unusual features (like the classical appearance of the headstock and the neck joining at the body at the 12th fret, for instance), makes this guitar look like Taylor custom-built this beautiful instrument to my specs.

For 57 years, I’ve been playing some REALLY nice guitars, including another cherished Taylor, that were built with larger people in mind-it was all just the way it was. until I discovered this beauty.

Actually, the smaller size and fast fret board took some getting used to. I’m already accomplished in my self-taught, bluesy, fingerpicking style, but this guitar has demanded me to step up to another level of playing, and not only is my playing even more precise, I am tackling material I never thought of learning before.

This guitar is just that much fun. Just what I was looking for without knowing it at the time. I’ve had this beauty for about two months now, and I guess for the sake of the tone and playability of my other guitars, I should quit abandoning them.

But it’s going to be hard because everything about this new one is addictive. It sounds so beautiful, I was drawing a small crowd in the store while trying it out. Yes, THAT beautiful. Thank you, Taylor!.

I can’t say enough good things about this Taylor. The Grand Pacific body shape with its Mahogany top and Tasmanian Blackwood back and sides make for an attractive guitar, but the soft gentle mellow tones it produces are what makes it beautiful.

The ES-2 pickup really shines on this masterpiece. Granted, ES-2 is a great pickup on any Taylor, but with this particular guitar is really outdoes itself. Because the tones are so mellow and compressed when played without a pickup, it allows you to dial in the specific tone you want in ways that I haven’t experienced on other Taylors.

I haven’t read a lot of people raving about the case, but WOW – That thing is a work of art unto itself. Absolutely gorgeous – incredible craftsmanship – and it fits the guitar like a glove. About the only issue I had were the strings that came installed.

They were a little rough on my fingers and initially made it difficult to play. This was a major concern for me, and had me wondering if I’d made a mistake. Fortunately, I installed a set of D’Addario EJ40 Silk & Steel Folk Guitar Strings (11-47) and now she plays like a dream.

I would recommend this guitar to anyone who’s looking for a good folk guitar that’s versatile enough to (when feed through an amp) play just about anything. Also – Many thanks to my sales rep – Matt Masek – He did a great job of getting me hooked up with this excellent guitar.

After visiting my local Sam Ash in Huntington and playing this guitar numerous times, I finally pulled the trigger. It’s not easy dropping close to 3 grand on a guitar. Loved it in the store but now that I have it home, I am amazed at the sounds that come out of this guitar.

It’s is big sounding guitar with the right amount of brightness and a warmth. The sustain is beautiful. The fretboard and all finishes are impeccable and very well thought out, right down to the black nut.

Sounds great plugged into my Fender Accoustasonic amp. This is a big guitar and anyone looking to invest in a beautiful instrument that will make you want to keep picking it up should consider one. Whatever type of player you are, this guitar will keep you playing for hours on end.

We ordered a pair of EX123’s (a Venom and a Redline 123) and they arrived within a week of ordering. They were extremely well packaged, so much so it took us about 20 minutes to fully unwrap them which should be no surprise that they were in pristine condition without a mark on them.

Communication was phenomenal as well and we were kept up to date on how they would arrive, by who, when, what was needed from us as well as all the steps necessary to register them once they arrived.

Now to the Yak’s themselves, simply put, they are amazing. The stability that Bonafide has achieved out of a sit-in kayak is truly incredible, we’ve owned many Kayaks including Vibe, Pelican, Old Town and Pescador and there is no comparison in terms of sheer overall stability.

Being that Bonafide is the sister company to YakAttack it makes perfect sense that there are endless amounts of options for rigging a setup on these that best fits your needs/uses whether using them for fishing or as recreational Kayaks and everything YakAttack makes is fully compatible with them.

The dry bay at the stern is massive, we were able to fit in sleeping bags, our tent, PFD’s, food, dog bowls, 2 backpacks, fishing gear, clothes and more (shared between both kayaks) with room to spare.

They are a little long at 12’3″ but once you get in them you appreciate the extra freedom your body has to move around and even with being over 12′ they are not heavy (empty) both my wife and i were able to throw them on our shoulder and carry them from my truck to the lake without issue.

They track great in the water and are quite fast compared to others we’ve owned. If you’re on the fence about which one to go with i highly recommend the EX123’s. I also have a Bonafide RS117 that i use solely for fishing and it’s equally as stable albeit a bit slower.

Fishing Online was amazing and Bonafide knocked these out of the park and best yet did i mention that Bonafide’s are made here in the US?.

Best fishing kayak on the market. period! I want to say right now, if you are going to buy a kayak, buy it from Fishing Online! The stability of this yak is insane. I can tell you this, you are not going to flip! One of the reasons why I chose this kayak over the others is the seat, it’s the most comfortable kayak seat I’ve ever sat in and the adjustability is superior to any other kayak seat.

I’m 80 this year and the legs have finally to the point where they give out easily so I went from the Hobie Outback to the I’m 80 and the legs now give out easily so I switched from the Hobie Outback to the SS127.

Man, I can paddle this puppy all day long and get to my spots without fatigue. This boat is super stable, tracks well, and has the pod. The only problem for me is the tracks are too far forward of the seating position and I have a hellva time reaching my Omegas.

I’m sure I’m just not doing something right, yet.
