Best Neutral Paint Colors Behr (2024 Updated)

The color was good and seemed to cover well. The five gallon came with no way to pour out of the top. You have to take the lid off to use which is awkward for a 5’2″ person. It is very heavy to lift and pour.

With a pour lid you only have to tip it. Just a suggestion. We just put it on so we will have to wait to see if it is durable.

I was told about Montage Paint by a neighbor. I’m glad I listened to him! We painted our bedroom – the paint went on smoothly and the finish looks great. I highly recommend this paint – not only is it a great paint but it helps with our environment by being recycled.

Recently bought this as it’s HD’s best paint and I’ve had good results with their one level down Ultra in the past. I find that it’s not a true flat and more of a matte finish. I painted an existing ceiling that’s just under 250 sq ft and got a bit too much reflectivity which only shows where roller seems hit etc more clearly when the light reflects off of it.

We have hanging lights. I probably wouldn’t notice with just ceiling cans but it should be better than this. As I noted, previously primed and painted (white) ceiling is just under 250 sq ft and the ceiling itself was clean before painting.

Used all but a few oz of the gallon. I’ll need to do another coat in the future to get it acceptable since I don’t want to use another paint with a different sheen to it now. All that said, I’ve used Ultra on ceilings in the past and for someone starting fresh, would recommend that instead.

We had a leak in the attic from a faulty air handler. We had just painted our ceiling with the Behr ceiling paint. The 2nd day of the leak caused the ceiling to bow out as the weight of the soaked drywall and insulation became heavier.

We called the hvac company and they were sending someone over to fix the problem. The next morning the bowed ceiling hung down about 3 feet. We were worried the ceiling would give way, causing a lot of problems for us.

But the Behr paint stretched and held as the leak continued! The hvac company could not believe it! Said they had never seen anything like it. We were amazed. Even when the remediation company came by to cut open the ceiling to repair it, the Behr paint held, saving our floors, walls and home from serious damage.

We will never use another product except Behr paint in our home. We are so pleased with your products!.

We used Behr products for our entire house. The Scuff Defense paint we used for the walls went on easily with excellent coverage – there are a couple of places where difference in sheen is apparent – even with additional coats – but overall, we found it to be an excellent product – much easier to use than some other brands.

However, the ceiling paint was a total let down. We love the color, sheen, finish, etc, but it took 2 or 3 coats and multiple tries to get it lay down evenly and to cover the old off-white color with a bright white.

Bought a month ago. I have always liked Behr and loved the idea of a Paint plus Primer. However, this has not been a good one for us. We bought the 18. 9L for the main floor of our 2000 square foot home.

We don’t even have that much wall space. However, we’ve had to put up to 3 coats to adequately cover an off white painted walls. We’ve tried different roller covers to varying degrees of success. Once we got full cover, it’s a nice bright white.

We’ve had so many colours over the 20 years and it’s funny that we’ve come full circle back to plain white and I love it.

I recommend that you go with the best quality paint for your house. This paint is easy to use. It does not need a lot of Coats to cover your walls. I like my paint semi glossy so I can clean it if it gets dirty.

There is different finishes for different parts of the house. I always recommend behr paint because it’s very durable and high quality paint. I have had so much fun remodeling my home choosing colors and styles.

I am not done yet I still have my son’s room too do and my RR! I am beyond excited to choose a look and style for his room.

I recently decided to redo an old vanity that was broken down and basically taking up space in my shed. (Pic on the right) well let me just tell ya folks I think I went a little over board🤔!!! After measuring and cutting the pieces that were missing I bought some behr premium paint and asked the store to make it a very specific shade of pink (pic on the left) After just one coat of the Behr paint I had complete coverage.

But I didn’t stop there folks oh no I also bought a couple bottle of Glitterific acrylic [brand:glitter] paint and started painting [brand:glitter] on the top and sides of the vanity. Unfortunately I was not getting the amount of [brand:glitter] coverage that I was hoping for.

Soooo I decided to buy some loose [brand:glitter] and some mod Podge. Oh boy!!!!! It sure sparkles. You can’t tell from the picture but this thing blings like I stole it from the Smithsonian. My daughters absolutely adore it.

I definitely recommend the behr premium paint for the awesome coverage. I also recommend mod Podge and loose [brand:glitter] if your trying to make something sparke a little [brand:glitter].

I bought this paint in ultra white and I’m 4 coats in and it’s still not a consistent shade of white. I can see the navy still poking through. Beyond frustrated. Not as advertised. I’m exhausted and just want this project to be done.

Only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because it has little to no fumes which makes painting inside a lot easier. Wouldn’t buy again or spend the extra money on this line.

IšverstiShow in original languageI bought the can of semi gloss for my bedroom and I absolutely LOVE this color. At first, I thought it was the wrong paint color because it was red but my husband told me it was supposed to be that way, that the paint settles and you are always supposed to stir premixed paint, as it settles.

He stirred it for me and it turned out so beautiful! It’s a light grey but looks a pretty light blue tone. I only need two coats and it looks AMAZING! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this color! You won’t be disappointed.

IšverstiShow in original languageI know black is not a common paint color you see in a home but it works for a lot of themes. My little project was for my sons room and we redesigned it and gave it a boho theme.

With the paint I was able to make triangles and do an accent wall. I used a ruler and masking tape to make everything perfect and the finished look is amazing. I’m glad it’s not a shiny color or it wouldn’t have looked as good.

The flat color came out well. The paint is a good quality ot doesn’t thicken up or make big chucks, with a good paint brush it works wonderful together. I still have a bit left and I can use for other projects.

Im really satisfied and I’m so glad I made the decision to add the black triangles.

I love the satin finish. It drys fast and easy to wipe clean. Also it is not a strong smell which is great! Great paint that holds up great!.

I have always purchased Behr as I had good luck with it. Behr was my go-to paint. The last 2 cans have been garbage. I get as much paint on me as I do on what I am painting; the coverage is substandard and it takes forever to dry.

I am preparing my house for sale so I have many things to paint. I asked my realtor what to do and she told me to get Benjamin Moore paint. Not having the best results in the past I was hesitant, but I tried.

There is no comparison. Comparing Behr to Benjamin Moore is like comparing a Fiat 500 to a Ferrari. Guess what paint I will be used to pain the last 4 rooms of my house. I will give you 3 guesses and your first two do not count.

I bought this on a Saturday afternoon, color 2003-30 (BM). I know it was mixed because the girl opened the paint and put a drop on the lid. The color was perfect. I opened the can the next morning and the purple tint additive was on the top of the paint.

This required 5 minutes of mixing to get the right color again. I opened he can 2 days later, same problem. Aside from that, the paint goes on well but I always use primer on new wood or concrete. The last paint I bought in this color was 6 years ago from someone else and it lasted without much mixing until last month.

Excellent paint, great coverage. Only thing I’d warn people about is this is a tad hard to wash off with soap and water. Wear light weight plastic gloves. Can’t speak to durability yet, see how it looks next year.

I was pleasantly surprised by this paint. I’ve used more expensive big name paint that I found disappointing or mediocre but this paint was neither of those and it cost a lot less. It’s actually really great paint.

It has good coverage and consistancy, it went on smoothly with no drips and only took one coat to cover old yellowing paint on my baseboards, doors and trim. The brushes I used cleaned up easily with water and a little dish soap.

I’m not sure if I would call this colour a brilliant white, it’s more of a soft white, not a cream just not freshly fallen snow either, but that worked well in the room I was using it in. If there is one thing that could be improved it would be the colour description so you know exactly what you are getting but apart from that everything else is excellent.

I would definitely buy again and recommend to friends and family.

I diy a lot of fifferent things, painting on my own is one of them. I have tried valspar from lowe’s and I have came back to this one. I like the semigloss finish on this. When you first start painting it will have a wet look to it and it takes little time to dry.

I did the interior of my home with the Behr paint. I do use a metal paint grip so that I do not put excessive pain on my walls and no clumps. Psa mix before using!.

This paint covers well with both brush and roller, cleans up like a dream, and has an improved container. The plastic can and plastic lid with integrated pour spout is a given, but they’ve made it even better than before with some molded ridges in the screw-off cap that keep the twisting tool from deforming under the strain.

Overall, this is a huge improvement over the previous paint job!.

I so love this Behr paint and primer in one. Always my first choice when starting a home improvement project. Long lasting beautiful colors and low odor. Very affordable for a paint and primer in one.

I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking to do some home improvement.

Covers well and looks great. Specialty thick paint.

The smell lingers on and on for weeks after application, not healthy

We decided to try Lick to redecorate the whole of our 2 bed flat (roughly 900 sq ft). We bought 8 cans of paint in total which mostly did the trick. We needed 2 coats of paint everywhere. Things we loved: -The samples.

So simple. Perfect match. Easily peeled on and off the wall and moved around the house. -The selection. A million paint samples is overwhelming, Lick has already curated a perfect blend of stunning trendy colours for you, so you don’t have to spend days choosing the perfect white, they’ve done that for you.

-Branding. Sexy right? Super cute and very appealing to the eye. Things we didn’t like: – Price. I mean come on, 8 cans wound up costing us £304. All in all the paint is nice, rolls on well and gets good coverage but is not some magical mixture that makes it twice as valuable as most other market paints.

– We weren’t sure how much we needed so wound up having to order 2/3 times, which made the wait to get paint quite frustrating. We also had some delays on our order so we wound up waiting 5 days to receive our second order when we were in the middle of the painting.

The flat was left a tip of course as we couldn’t put everything away until the job was done. – The tin itself, is cute. Lovely little handle. But the spout it worse than your average paint tin. Honestly, this didn’t bug us tremendously, but other reviews commented on how great the spout was, so thought it was worth highlighting.

All in all, we wouldn’t use Lick again unless we were doing a very small job i. e painting a set of drawers etc. It’s far easier and more economical for larger jobs, to pop down to your local paint shop to get what you need.

We were super excited to try the Lick product as I love your colours and everyone has been raving about how easy and well it applies. We found this wasn’t the case. First layer was very patchy. It took 3 layers to create a unified build up and admittedly the finished application looks great and has a beautiful matt quality but we found ourselves feeling lucky that it was only a small room we were painting and that we were only painting to a certain height.

I am extremely happy with the colour and cannot wait to get the room dressed as i know it is going to look spectacular and has really changed the entire feel of my basement guestroom / home office. We are just slightly underwhelmed with the actual painting experience after hearing so much hype.

Cannot recommend Lick paints enough – the tester stickers are true to the real paint colour and much more convenient than standard tester pots. Ordered two paints (Green 09 & White 06) and have painted my entire flat with them.

Really even coverage and minimal paint fumes! Would definitely purchase again.

I love Clare paint. I’ve used a few colors now. I have headspace, neutral territory, and money moves paired together. They are all wonderful because they apply easily, low odor, dry fast with the perfect eggshell finish.

Life lesson: there’s no such thing as one coat of paint.
