20 Best Neck Brace For Sleeping (2023 Updated)

I have a fairly pronounced “Adam’s Apple” and this neck brace was uncomfortable to wear as it rubbed every time I swallowed. I was able to cut the fabric behind the adjustable chin strap and then remove some of the foam in the center area.

After doing so, I can now wear it comfortably, even when sleeping. I use this when traveling as it is the only neck brace I have found that gives me the support I need to rest comfortably on long flights.

I have known people who fit the description but this time it was a different situation. While planting flower bulbs beside my driveway, I stepped back to admire my work when my heel caught the edge and I fell backward full length on the concrete.

While my head is hard enough (some tell me) to withstand the impact, my neck took a wrench and was very painful when I leaned forward or turned to the side. I knew I needed some help with it until I could recover so I ordered the Futuro after checking out many others which might have done the job but at a higher price.

After a week wearing the Futuro, I am now nearly back to normal (some of my friends dispute this-can’t please everybody). I am happy to have the collar in case of any future such mishap and I am happy with my choice.

I do wish it would close at the front rather than the back because trying to connect the ends on the back can be painful with a sore neck to contend with. Just have someone else close it for you and all will be well.

Other than this, I would have rated it five stars.

Has a brown stain on it. Maybe it was used and returned by someone? Got wet ? Coffee spilled on it? Don’t know but should not ship a item like that.

This device is marketed as a pain relief device, but I use it for a completely different reason. For some reason, my lower jaw drops open when I sleep. It’s probably genetic, as it happened to my Dad, and happens to my son too.

An open mouth can contribute to snoring, and more importantly, an open mouth leads to a dry mouth, which can greatly contribute to tooth decay as saliva is a natural anti-bacterial, and when you have a dry mouth, the saliva is not there killing bacteria (ask your dentist).

I wear this to bed every night, and it is reported that my buzz-saw snoring is almost completely mitigated (I can’t confirm this because I can’t hear my own snoring at all, lol, I am blessed with deep sleep), but most importantly, this comfortable collar keeps my mouth closed all night long.

No more dry mouth! Two thumbs up and 5 out of 5 stars. By the way, I tried a number of the more common chin strap, head encasing anti-snore devices, and never found one that was effective or comfortable.

I found that those had a tendency to push my lower jaw backwards rather than upwards. This foam collar gently lifts my lower jaw and my lips stay closed all night.

I am pleased with this cervical collar. I use it while working on the computer at home and it helps keep my neck in a more ergonomically correct position. It’s soft but still firm enough for the support.

This product was recommended to me by my chiropractor after an x-ray showed that my neck was straight (as opposed to it’s natural state as curved). I was waking up each day with pain in my neck and problems with mobility.

Going to the chiropractor didn’t really help as much as this little gem. For just 10-15 min/day, I lay my neck on it and it offers tremendous relief and helps my spine regain the curve in my neck. I do also use an inflatable cervical neck traction device, but I can feel the relief more with this item.

Bought this to match (and encourage) my 11 yo son to wear the same (jr version of course). He’s been starting to ride Whistler’s amazing bike park and doing things in the air that scare me. Plus I’ve had two friends who have been taken out of commission due to neck injuries from trail crashes.

I paired this with the Leatt chest protector which works well together. Not as bad as I thought re: bulkiness. Does limit the head position a bit front and back (which is what it’s designed to do in the extreme) so I had to adjust my head position a bit when approaching jumps.

I had a neck brace in the past but this Leatt blows it away. Get the 5. 5 for the adjustments the 3. 3 doesnt have. Adjusting it for a perfect fit is key. Follow the instructions that come with it. When your riding you really forget its even there !! Crazy.

I have tried to get one of these for my medical patient here in Wisconsin. Such a simple thing to buy, or so you would think! Agnesian Healthcare here in Fond du Lac Wisconsin requires a doctors referral for this thing! Seriously! Are you kidding me! Nope they are not, and it’s a stupid ludicrous rule! I have a neck injury patient I have to transport between Fond du Lac and Milwaukee on occasion.

I have sustained repeated serious injuries to my neck area. I’ve suffered with debilitating migraines and deep pain. E was skeptical about using a neck brace. I purchased this brace to use when sleeping.

I never understood traditional neck pillows. Like, I don’t want a giant roll behind my neck pushing my head forward and no chin support. I would turn my old inflatable one around so my chin would have somewhere to perch.

Just used for the first time on a 6 hour plane ride. It worked much better than other neck pillows I have tried. Because of the Velcro it is adjustable so one could rest one’s chin on the top or tuck the chin in a bit.

It held my neck straight so there was no head bobbing when I fell asleep. My neck felt fine while napping and after it was removed. I slept more than I have ever been able in the past. I will use again and again.

My husband, however, did not really like using his so I guess as in all things we all have different preferences.

A must have for me on car rides of an hour or more. The side-side motion really brings about more painful muscle spasm in my dystonic neck. This item is more comfortable than a traditional collar. The channel type design allows some flexibility, but pulling out of the bottom section, as in the fitting instructions, does not really work.

It slides right back. Perhaps with more use, it will position like the instructions, would be more comfy for me if so.

I have a long neck for a woman, so I have a hard time finding a cervical collar that fits properly. This one is perfect, though! It is soft enough to be comfortable at night, but it is firm enough to actually provide the benefits it is supposed to.

The plastic piece doesn’t do much, so I don’t use it, but the rest of the collar is perfect.

Greg Owens: This is a good product. I am trying to find a cervical collar that I can sleep with it on. this collar is soft and has some firmness that is needed to keep my head up so that I do not snore and sleep well.

For some reason I my head still drops down with this device and does not work with the purpose I need it to. The product is a good product. Just not what I need to stop my snoring problem.

This is a great sturdy brace to wear as an alternative to your big heavy brace, it’s comfortable and you can sleep in it, provides great support. The only bad thing is it arrived with a hole in the black material right in the front, I contacted Walmart and they said they contacted seller who would get back to me within 2 days, it’s been a week and I’ve heard nothing!.

The foam collar helps put my neck in a more upright position, and thus is very helpful re: pain management. I will say thought that the height of the collar is more than I would have expected.

Fits perfectly. Helps with knee instability. Highly recommend this product.

Great shipping and good price Is great for a neck injury

Received the collar in the time frame promised. My husband has neck issues and likes to keep his neck well-positioned when he sleeps. This collar was to replace one he has had for many years. He says this one is lighter, cooler and more comfortable than the old one.

For what it’s worth, he likes the black color, too. No complaints from him. I like the “end to end” removable, washable sleeve that stays in place and doesn’t bunch up. We recommend this collar.

It’s a little to big and have to exchange it for a smaller one, it’s for people who have big thighs

This is a very nice soft collar for anyone looking for mild support during recovery. I purchased it for my Aunt who has Multiple Sclerosis during a exacerbation period. She needed mild support as her head position in bed was difficult to align.

This collar has a good quality velcro closure and can be cleaned easily. She also likes that it is covered in cloth and does not get hot. I would mention that the collar is for average to longer neck lengths, so if you have no neck or very little neck this may be too wide.

I would repurchase this product.

This cervical collar was well wrapped and fit properly but I was disappointed that it was so soft & flimsy. It didnt immobilize my head nor support my neck and head as I had hoped. It might work well for someone else but in my case it didnt alleviate the pain at all.

This cervical collar is comfortable, and allows just enough movement to not cause my neck to be overly stiff. Washing it was a breeze, too. This collar was a great buy, the price was right, and it served my needs perfectly.

Was tall enough to actually keep my head lifted (im 5’7) most foam neck were too short. But velcro strap came off where it was stitched on. Like it anyways, sleeping with it I think helped push my herniated disc back in.

My neck has been so painful at the past 4 months, and even seeking treatment from a chiropractor, physical therapist and pain specialist, I have had no relief. I ordered this on a whim, to see if it would help.

I can’t believe one of these health professionals couldn’t have suggested one. Immediate relief, I am able to perform simple household chores without having to lie down and ice my neck. This is a godsend.

Don’t expect a lot of support as it is nothing like a rigid brace. Also I didn’t measure my neck. I just thought I had an “average size” neck and ordered a med. The velcro barely overlaps about an inch and barely holds.

If you are unable to measure, suggest you order a size larger than you think. I sleep in mine due to some arthritis in my cervical verterbrae and wake up with headaches from sleep positioning. Doesn’t help much.

Unlike other neck brace I purchased and had to return, this one is softer and adjusts perfectly to my small neck.

When I ordered the product it wasn’t clear that it was necessary to choose the desired length. Consequently I had ordered a collar that was much to big. So it was not a satisfactory experience.
