23 Best Natural Soap For Acne (2023 Updated)

I recently bought the patchouli hemp clay soap bar and it is my new favorite. This soap is the best scent and is my favorite at the bathroom sink for washing my hands and face. It cleans gently but well! Definitely my favorite Yellow Bird soap, which are my favorite soaps.

Other soaps don’t compare.

I used this soap regularly for years and then stopped for a bit. I’m so glad I reordered it again. This soap is great and perfect for after cleansing first with oil-based products first or anytime I don’t feel completely clean.

My face feels fresh and ready for any products after washing.

I just found out this soap is FABULOUS for irritated skin. I am undergoing chemotherapy and one of the side effects is multiple uncomfortable rashes. I hated giving up my daily showers, but it was hard to feel “clean” without aggravating the rash areas.

Pure Soap makes me feel clean without irritating the rash area. It may be more expensive than other soaps and washes for sensitive skin, but the results (clean, non-irritated skin) is SO WORTH IT!.

I have used this soap four over a decade, and it is the best. It is so simple and natural but cleans so well. I have used department store brands and the best over-the-counter brands but this is so simply perfect.

It’s not drying but it’s perfectly cleans your skin as it should. I use it daily and I don’t think I will ever change. My skin is now aging and this gentle soap is still perfect.

Okay so i first bought these to achieve the “feathered brow” look. Theyre clear and dont leave white residue or chunks, and they were the cheapest ones at walmart. I gotta admit, this did a good job of keeping my brows in place, BUT it only lasted on my brows until my face got hot.

Then it started to melt and i got soapy eyebrows 😂 this obviously isnt what they were made for, so i finished them off in the shower. I was worried they would suck since they were so cheap, but i was pleasantly surprised.

They dont reallt leave soap scum or any weird feeling left on my body like most cheap soaps do. My boyfriend hates the smell of them but i love it – they smell sort of strong like eucalyptus, but the scent doesnt stay on my skin.

Theyre very moisturizing though. And the only other complaint i have is the same one i have with any bar soap. Theyre slippery and hard to store in the shower.

i always use medicated soap instead of shower gels and this is an excellent product from a well known brand. my skin feels clean and it protects you from germs. highly recommended.

I absolutely loved this soap! I have never tried sulfur soap before, but I def will not be buying any other soap other then this! I cannot believe what a difference I have noticed with my acne and my skin looks brighter and natural and all my acne well what I consider acne my little pimples on my face and back well this soap cleared all that up! I am 46 with super oily skin and my mother is 69 with dry skin. We both used this soap. I am absolutely amazed. People think this soap dries your skin. Well it does, but we noticed it dries the skin only if you have oily skin and it does it in a natural way.

My mom has to lather on lotion a couple of times a day and her skin didnt dry up even tho we both let it sit for 2-3 minutes. The dryness I noticed was not the synthetic soap type of itchy, red, tight skin kind of dryness, it was very natural.

This is made with saponified soap, nothing like the synthetic junk companies dump salicylic acid into and sell. It was my first time using a sulfur soap. It was just fine. Hot springs charge a premium for water that has natural sulfur.

I thought the combination of ingredients worked well. And the cleanliness you feel with a 3% salisylic acid was just amazing. It is practically a skin peel that you can apply all over your body if you let it sit for 2-3 minutes with zero pain, zero down time and it is very affordable.

This product seems to be helpful in alleviating itchy skin problems! If used more often (perhaps daily or every other day) better results could be achieved! Some relief has been obtained even using only occasionally! I think this is a very good product!.

IšverstiShow in original languageMy husband has pretty bad eczema (not dry patches but pink/red itchy spots) and the only type of soap we have had luck with is Bentonite Clay soap, but ones without fragrances or dye are hard to find! Rocky Top’s Bentonite Soap hasn’t made the eczema “better”, but it certainly hasn’t aggravated it, which in itself is quite the achievement! Quick shipping, reasonable prices.

IšverstiShow in original languageIt’s technically unscented but it has a nice, clean smell. It was packaged nicely, a little hard to get into but that’s okay. I haven’t used it yet, but it doesn’t seem to leave your skin feeling greasy or slimy.

I’m satisfied with this product and am checking out other products from this shop.

IšverstiShow in original languageLiquid soap imo is one of those dubious inventions where we’re tricked into paying over the odds for a diluted version of the real thing! And with non-reusable plastic pump dispensers that possibly won’t get recycled because they probably contain different sorts of plastic, so would need dismantling.

In comparison, soap like Chandrika comes in a cardboard box with a paper liner – and it’s good, simple soap too. Yes, buying a local product could be even better if I could find a ‘non-luxury artisan soap’ that didn’t cost the proverbial arm and a leg, or wasn’t packaged in plastic.

Plus Chandrika works well enough on my short hair as a means to avoid using shampoo – another plastic minefield! And unlike a lot of shampoos doesn’t give me dandruff! :-).

IšverstiShow in original languageThe pungent aroma of this soap leaves no reason to apply any other scents afterwards. It leaves your skin smelling naturally perfumed. The rich thick amd creamy lather is what makes this soap great.

In fact, the lather is so good, that I’ve often used this soap for washing my hair with as well. Being an ayurvedic product I think has something to do with the fact that this soap tends to use quickly – don’t leave it sitting in a wet place! The soap will vanish almost before your eyes! One little trick I’ve found with this soap is to place the small pieces into an old handwash pump bottle, together with a little bit of water.

The pieces dissolve quickly and make for a wonderful liquid handwash. Enjoy your experience with this soap. There is nothing else left.

IšverstiShow in original languageI have been using Chandrika for around 10 years now and will never change brands, due to its unique qualities. Lathers well, very creamy and smells refreshing thanks to its herbal ingredients.

Best of all does not seem to cause irritation or dryness even though I have facial eczema. I can highly recommend. When starting a new bar just press together with the remains of the old one – nothing wasted! Also saves buying expensive skin-soothing remedies.

Amazingly, this is the only “detoxifying” product I’ve tried that doesn’t dry out or strip my skin, but still leaves it clean and I feel like it really sucks the gunk out of my pores.

It lathers up really nicely, and you really only need the smallest amount on your hands. Compared to other cleansers, this one lasts me roughly the same amount of time, but this one is wayyy cheaper in terms of $/oz.

I use a little metal tin to protect the bar and keep it from dissolving since it sits near my facet and I’ve noticed that makes a significant difference in how long the bar lasts. I highly recommend getting a little tin or even plastic case to increase the longevity of the bar if you’ve noticed yours dissolves quickly or isn’t lasting you very long.

You need this in your shower! I use it in my face when I’m exhausted from a long day at work (I know that is illegal), and it works better than my expensive cleansers. It’s just a solid product, won’t break you out and it makes you so clean.

It’s completely healed my body acne when I use it with an exfoliating cloth. You need this!.

IšverstiShow in original languageI bought this bar originally because I wanted to make the switch away from my plastic bottle liquids, and I liked how short and simple the ingredient list is. I figured if I tried it and hated it, it’d only be 12 bucks down the drain.

I actually really like it and have had to restock since my original purchase. I’ve seen other reviews mention how it can be overly-drying and leaves the skin feeling really tight, which I agree with.

Ultimately I don’t mind that squeaky clean tightness since I only use this soap as part of my pm routine which is when I do my full moisturizing routine (an essence, a serum, and moisturizer). The only reason I’m giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is because I don’t think it does much to get rid of breakouts, especially not compared to my former cleanser that had salicylic acid in it.

Im lucky and just get random spots when I eat really unhealthily instead of constant acne, so I don’t know how well it would do against hormonal/cystic/fungal acne. Overall, I recommend.

Fragrances usually break me out so I’m waiting to see how my skin reacts to this product. So far so good but my skin is tricky so I’m waiting and watching closely. I purchased this soap because I am having good results from the cream.

IšverstiShow in original languageI stumbled upon this soap while in my local Healty Planet looking form some multivitamins. They were on sale 3 for $5. Can’t go wrong. I currently use the $15 JR Legget shampoo bar for my hair and decided to give this clay bar a try.

Well, I seldom leave reviews but had to come on here to leave one for this soap. Although it is not marketed for hair i used it as a shampoo bar. It left my hair clean, soft and moisturized. No need to use a conditioner.

I was totally taken back by how great this bar made my hair feel at a fraction of the price I have been paying over the past year and a half for another shampoo bar. There is no going back. Thank you for making such a great product at such an affordable price.

I am re-ordering the Creamy Clay. I like the way it lathers. It is definitely creamy and luxurious. It’s great for my skin. I am very happy with this soap.

IšverstiShow in original languageI bought the clay and the tea tree oil soap. Both have lasted a long time. They definitely do leave that bar of soap squeaky feeling when you’re done using it but I didn’t notice any dry skin or anything like that.

The clay soap has an unpleasant perfume type of scent (in my opinion) that I can still smell on my skin even after I shower and for that reason I will not be purchasing this particular bar again. However, I will try another one from this brand as my husband and I both liked the tea tree oil one.
