20 Best Mouse And Keyboard For Xbox One (2023 Updated)

First and foremost, the keyboard is awesome. I have been a lifelong mechanical keyboard user and recently had to switch something that was less “clicky” and also allowed me to switch between multiple machines.

To that end the MX Keys has been a great move for me. I also purchased the MX Master 3 mouse because of the need to move between multiple machines. These are both high quality items. My biggest problem with this setup is that there is no way to pair the mouse and keyboard together so that they switch from machine to machine together.

What this means is that if I need to switch from “Machine 1” to “Machine 2” I have to push the “Machine 2” button on the keyboard and select “Machine 2” on the mouse separately. I have read some articles that say this behavior can be achieved with the Logitech Flow application, but I don’t have the ability to install that software on all machines so it won’t work.

This is becoming a big enough hassle for me that I am considering buying a USB Switch and going back to a wired setup. All and all if you can deal with the issue pointed out above (or it isn’t something you are concerned about / doesn’t apply to you) then this is a great purchase.

For such expensive keyboard I’d expect higher quality: 1. the keyboard battery is drained in a week (the similar “MX Keys” keyboard requires one charge a month for the same conditions) 2. “M” and “S” keys started stucking for a millisecond after releasing, creating an odd annoying “click” noise after each press.

3. Logi software is not stable in Windows, and requires regular restart in order to get the features working in all applications. This happens especially after computer returning from a sleep/lock mode.

4. The crown is useless in applications which don’t have the Logi software support. Amount of Logi supported applications is pretty low. Example of non-supporting application: Adobe Audition. There is also pretty a limited amount of software, which is covered by Logi software: just about 10 applications.

5. For unsupported by Logi software applications the crown customizations are just limited with 3 simple actions “turn”, “press”, “press and turn”. No “touch” feature, which is supported in *some* applications.

6. Installing Logi Craft keyboard software on Windows adds unnecessary desktop notification on the bottom of screen every time a user just touches the crown (even occasionally). This is annoying feature, which can’t be adjusted in Logi software.

Based on these factors, returning to less expensive Logi “MX Keys” keyboard is an obvious step without loosing the “premium” features of the Craft Logi keyboard.

This keyboard does not work with Photoshop 2021 on M1 Macs. The crown cannot be used for Photoshop-specific tasks. End of story. Logitech released a patch for Windows to fix similar issues, but there is no similar support for Mac.

The beta version of Logi Options (the app that controls this keyboard’s functionality) which was built for M1 does not support this keyboard either. Logi Options running in Rosetta 2 is buggy at best, uses a shocking amount of memory when running, and requires periodic reinstallation to restore basic functionality.

According to Logitech’s forums, these are incredibly common complaints. I really like the keyboard otherwise, and I was excited to incorporate the crown into my workflow. Unfortunately this keyboard simply does not function as advertised on Mac.

If you’re a photographer/creative whose made the jump to M1, do yourself a favor and get a different keyboard. You won’t have any less functionality.

Needed a quiet, fast typing keyboard. Is all that. Is heavier than I expected, but my previous keyboard was a cheapo where the key rubbed off. I really like the texture on the keys. Not too slippery feeling.

Short keys with short motion so less movement needed to type.

This keyboard has a great action if you are able, or close to being able to touch type. It feels very similar to a good quality laptop keyboard. The good action and means I don’t end the day with sore fingertips.

The keystroke is less than a traditional keyboard so it takes a few hours to get used to, but is good once adjusted to it.

After reading some of the earlier reviews, I was hesitant to buy this keyboard, but then I noticed that many of the same complaints were made about other keyboards, so I took a chance. First, here’s a review of the keyboard itself: I like the detached number keypad, since I rarely use it (as a side note, you can use it as a hand calculator if you want, since it automatically starts the computer’s calculator program when you type on it).

I like the feel of the keys: they click easily but with a satisfying feel that lets you know you’ve actually hit the key. I’m able to type very quickly with it, without a mushy feeling and with a low number of errors.

I agree with some previous reviewers that I would prefer if the function keys were the same height as the other keys, instead of half that, but it doesn’t bother me enough to drop a star. Now, for the big part: Initially, I had some of the same issues that other reviewers complained about, where the keyboard seemed to fall asleep if I wasn’t constantly typing, and the first letter I typed afterwards would be lost.

(I also briefly had a problem with the keys sticking and repeating endlessly, but that went away when I changed the keyboard’s batteries. ) The falling asleep issue got abruptly worse after a Windows update, and that prompted me to do some Google searching, where I stumbled across a fix someone was kind enough to post.

I’m passing on the favor and am sharing it here for anyone who’s having this problem. In a nutsell, the issue isn’t with the keyboard itself, but with the power management settings in Windows 10. That’s why you see the same complaints about other types of keyboards.

Basically, Windows 10 is looking for a constant signal from the USB ports to indicate that a device is active, and if it doesn’t get that signal, it puts the port to sleep. To fix this, do the following: 1.

From the Start menu, open “Device Manager”. 2. Expand the “Human Interface Devices” section. 3. For each device listed in this section, do the following: Right-click the mouse on the device name and click “Properties” from the menu that pops up.

The Properties window will open. Click the “Power Management” tab within it and deselect (uncheck) the “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” box. Click “OK” to save and then continue to the next device and do the same thing.

4. After updating all of the devices in the “Human Interface Devices” section, scroll down to the “Universal Serial Bus controllers” section and do the same thing for the devices listed there. I have had absolutely no problems with my keyboard since I did this, and I’m now extremely happy with it.

Ordered direct from Microsoft. After 8 months daily use, the dongle went out suddenly; killing both the mouse & keyboard. No recovery, no replacement dongle. Odd because it never moved from my desk. MS is unsupportive; website is unhelpful.

“Contact us” Call tree is circular & pushes you to website. Only way to reach an agent is a phone number embedded deep in the order history, agent creates a ticket & then hangs up. No easy way to identify the dongle has failed until after too many hours on troubleshooting blogs attempting to recover use of overpriced keyboard.

I do not recommend this product. Average size male hand – The mouse is too small for average hand & design falls short of ergonomic; 3rd & 4th fingers do not rest & strain by end of day. Same with keyboard – the high curve on left side causes 3rd & 4th fingers to hover, never resting while typing.

strain & swelling occurs after several months of use. The battery life is good & separate 10 key is a nice feature but save your time & fingers & select another option.

UPDATE October 2016 After less than a year of use the left mouse button stopped working properly. It clicks but the click doesnt always register and I often have to try several times to get it to work.

This issue renders this mouse useless. On top of that the Windows button on the mouse stopped giving any click feedback, although it still works if I press it strong enough. Ive used my previous Logitech keyboardmouse combo for more than 4 years.

This one is falling apart in less than a year. I have mixed feelings about this keyboardmouse combo. I give the mouse 2. 5 stars and the keyboard 3. 5 stars so 3 stars average. I had the original MS Natural Elite and then I moved to the Logitech split keyboard Cordless Desktop Comfort Laser.

Unfortunately Logitech stopped making split keyboards some years ago, so I changed to their Wave keyboard, which never felt as comfortable. I bought the Sculpt a bit more than a month ago and now I am getting used again to split keyboards I hope that it will feel as natural as the previous split keyboards I had so far I dont feel as comfortable with it.

I hope it is just a matter of timeMouse 2. 5 StarsThere is nothing special about the mouse. It is just an average mouse, not a particularly good one. I didnt find it any more ergonomic or comfortable than my previous mouse a Logitech M705 and I am bit less accurate with this mouse.

The 2 side buttons are pretty bad They are less customizable than those on Logitech mice, and you have to press them in a particular way otherwise the click doesnt register Also, if I am selecting a large paragraph of text it will sometimes lose the selection and I will have to start from the beginning.

Keyboard 3. 5 StarsPros It looks good The keys feel nice, like nice laptop keys. The separate number pad is something positive for me, since I rarely use it. I like the split layout the main reason I bought it.

it is wireless. I hate wires and this is the only widely available wireless split keyboard. Cons No dedicated media buttons I solved this problem, see bellow The layout is cramped on the right side. They tried to make it as compact as possible, but this comes at the cost of usability.

I often press the wrong key if I try to press e. g. one of the arrow keys without looking. The soft arm rest feels nice but it seems to be somewhat absorbent like a cloth and it gets dirty easily and you cant just wipe it clean The Ctrl key gets virtually stack every now and then.

I have to press it again to make the keyboard work properly. This is VERY annoying. The software offers very limited customization of the keys. The function keys are actually buttons and they dont feel as nice.

Not a huge problem for me. This keyboard wins points for being the only widely available wireless split keyboard. If you want a wireless ergonomic keyboard then this keyboard has very little competition and you should try it.

But if you are not looking specifically for an ergonomic keyboard then I will suggest to stay away because this keyboard has several issues. Avoid the mouse unless the keyboardmouse combo is less than 15 more expensive than the keyboard only option.

The mouse in my opinion doesnt worth more than 15. only problem is that then you will need to use 2 different USB receiversPersonally I would have returned this product especially after the Ctrl key started getting stack but I stayed with it because of the lack of alternatives for this sort of keyboards.

Regarding the media buttons I use the free program AutoHotkey and AudioSwitch for the audio, but everything can be done with just AutoHotkey to remap certain keys. So now the Pause button acts as a playpause toggle, the ScrLk button acts as a next track, PgUp PgDn are Volume UP Down and Insert is a Mute toggle.

This way I never need to use the function keys switch. I used AudioSwitch to remap the sound related functions volume up down mute because I already had that program and it gives you an indication on the screen when you are increasing decreasing the volume or muting, which I believe AutoHotkey doesnt.

I’ve had the keyboard for a few months now and I can honestly say it is one of the better feeling keyboards I’ve owned. The materials/build quality are great, and despite them not using more mainstream switches, Logitech’s own switches still feel nice.

Battery life has also been very good. However, there are a few drawbacks which prevent me from saying it is a five-star product. Firstly, the software experience leaves much to be desired. While it isn’t as resource heavy and prone to crashing as other companies peripheral software, it could use some much needed redesigning.

I am of the belief that the consumer shouldn’t have to Google or go to YouTube to find out how to operate software for a keyboard, and I had to do that multiple times to find out how to change lighting effects, changing lighting profiles, etc.

While it wasn’t a horrible experience in the end, it could definitely use some refinement to be more user friendly. Which brings me to my second issue with the keyboard. It uses Micro-USB instead of USB C.

At first glance, this may not seem like a big deal, but if you are trying to market this as a premium product, you probably should use modern standards for charging/data transfer. I honestly can’t remember the last time I used microUSB, and it was genuinely shocking to me that Logitech would use it instead of USB-C given the market that this keyboard is designed for.

Instead of me being able to use my phones charger or any other device that uses USB-C, I have to make sure to keep this Micro-USB cable around and it just seems both wasteful in a way, and cheap. This is made worse by the fact that other Logitech’s premium peripheral’s like their lightspeed mouse, also uses Micro-USB instead of USB-C.

Lastly, the special characters and keys that have multiple functions (like brackets, hashtags, etc) while backlit for their major function, are not backlit for their secondary function. The backlighting is nice, but not complete for some of the keys.

I would semi-frequently find myself looking for the ampersand or dollar sign keys, but because they aren’t backlight like their primary function is, it can mean looking down and squinting to find where they are.

All-in-all what I’ll say is this, Logitech continues to make good quality products and I’m happy with my purchase, but in the future, dump Micro-USB. It’s a dead connection type. Apply the backlighting effect to the full key and put a little more work into the user experience for the keyboard’s software.

Let me start off the review by saying this – I hate wires and I will pay more to avoid them! I also use this for work and gaming. That means I want a product that can game at a high level, be a great office keyboard that allows me to type and take phone calls at the same time and have a GREAT battery life so I don’t have to plug it in (again I hate cables).

Gaming – The lightspeed USB plug-in for this must be magical because I game on this competitively with ZERO lag or latency. The keys also have heald up to constant typing and the lighting doesn’t fade with use as well.

Generally – if you like the click and travel then this is a great solution because it has heald up for two years almost now with zero issues. RGB/SOftware – The Keyboard does have RGB on it and while it isn’t Corsair blow your socks off level since it is wireless – it is nice, bright, and responsive! It doesn’t currently sync with other software however you can sync all your Logitech products together and then match the color to your other software relatively easily.

The Logitech software is also REALLY good with all your battery % displayed and every setting you could imagine adjustable for your product. Office – I work from home, which means I take calls and meetings and need to be able to type and type fast without everyone knowing I am typing away.

This keyboard has the perfect “click” to be satisfying while also being quiet enough that it doesn’t sound like a typewriter. The key travel is also in my opinion perfect. It doesn’t have huge keys with seeming feet of travel with a loud click at the end.

I can easily get my 80-90wpm out and keep moving without anyone noticing. Build Quality/battery – this keyboard is SOLID. It has no deck flex or any sort of low-quality buttons or switches. The battery started to die on me at a year and 6 months but was able to RMA it with ease with the help of BestBuy at my side.

The keys don’t wear and everything still works great with constant use day in and out so at the price point it is at ~200-250 depending on the sale I would buy it every single time. Conclusion- While $200 for a keyboard is a steep price, this is one I can vouch for as it holds up and does everything it says it will to an astounding degree of quality and accuracy.

Logitech kills it again with the BEST wireless peripherals on the market.

tl;dr you don’t have to fully press the keys down to get them to register which is a huge problem for the price point, the keycaps are ABS not double-shot PBT, the software included is hit or miss, and the G keys are also hit or miss depending on if you take full advantage of the software please read the full review! let me get the negative out of the way before I get into the positive.

1. Initial impressions? after about 10 days of use I’ve noticed when I’m playing games or typing on the internet I don’t have to fully press down on the keys to get said key to register. I notice it more when I’m typing and it seems like it happens with keys that get used frequently.

“W, Backspace, Return, Spacebar. ” I can press down on the sides of the keycap and it will register as a full compression which is NOT a good look for a $250 price point. Mind you I don’t do this on purpose, I’ll be getting ready to delete something via backspace and put the SLIGHTEST amount of pressure and it will register as a press.

Nothing close to a full compression. 2. another big problem I have with Logitech specifically is they don’t give you an in depth manual for ANY OF THE FRIGGIN PRODUCTS YOU BUY. You know what comes with these devices you’re paying anywhere from $150 – $250? a very straightforward quickstart guide, a paper talking about the battery, and a packet talking about the safety instructions/warranty in 4 different languages!! You’re telling me I’m paying over $100 for both a mouse and a keyboard and the closest thing to a manual you’re gonna give me is G HUB.

At least there’s a manual for G HUB right? *on the internet* 3. a pet peeve that’s started to grow as I use this more and more is the keycaps are ABS and not double shot PBT which is INCREDIBLY disappointing especially when you consider the money you’re dishing out on this thing.

What does that mean? ABS keycaps are fingerprint magnets and they don’t tend to wear well. If you’re greasy/oily or you’re hands sweat while gaming I’d stay away. PBT keycaps? Better material and wears very well.

Sure I could go and spend more money and get a few PBT keycaps for WASD, SHIFT, and a few others, but I’m spending more money on a $250 premium keyboard that didn’t come with double-shot PBT keycaps.

also you must beware if you go to take this thing apart to clean it, the keycap clips are VERY fragile and very well may break when you try snapping them back into the switch. MIDDLE GROUND: G HUB is the software that comes with all the newer Logitech peripherals and it’s honestly a blessing and a curse.

The sky is the limit with G HUB. you can make macros that do a number of different things, change the RGB/ style to anything you want/ configure the G keys to certain things, and there’s on board memory.

This is very nifty, but G HUB is the most in depth and confusing software I have ever used. Razer Synapse was way more simple. Not to mention to use the G keys you have to go into the software everytime you turn on your PC, click you’re keyboard and activate G shift just so those 5 keys can be taken advantage of IF you have them binded to something.

I’m using 1 and 2 for DPI and it gets very annoying to have to open the software, turn on G shift and then be able to adjust my dpi via two buttons on my board. Furthermore G HUB doesn’t notify you everytime your mouse changes DPI, only when it initially turns on.

It very well could be that I’m 100% using the software wrong and all of the fixes to my issues as far as G HUB goes are right in front of my face and I’m just to foolish to see it, but it is a very complicated software.

Finally to the positives! you wont be charging the battery on this baby every other week this thing is rated for 137 hours with RGB on, it feels like I’m playing with a wired keyboard besides the double occasional double clicks.

What really drew my to this keyboard in the first place was the 2. 4GHz connection via USB dongle. It seems tough to find good keyboards that use 2. 4GHz connection via dongle. It’s also BT if that’s your thing.

It has adjustable feet with two different sizes which you don’t see very often another nice touch. I really enjoy the media control keys and I really want to enjoy my G keys but I just don’t understand G HUB enough to be able to take advantage of those currently.

Final thoughts: I’ve seen a few people say they don’t recommend this keyboard and maybe I understand why? I’m not getting the full use out of the G keys Like I wish I was because the software is crazy, the switches actuation level is very sensitive, and the keycaps suck.

I’m sure there are other reasons people don’t recommend it, but for the price and the reasons I’ve listed I can’t say I’d recommend it to someone in the market for a wireless keeb. There has got to be better keebs out there that are wireless and use a 2.

4GHz dongle.

I wasn’t planning to get this keyboard; however it was on sale, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a keyboard this good before. It’s ridiculously responsive, clicky-in-all-the-right ways (I get a tingle down my spine after typing some things), and yet it doesn’t feel like I am hammering away at some old mechanical switches.

It feels like typing on air, each key moving with the lightest touch, but not in a spongy way like some other keyboards. It’s like the button moves down just enough to match your finger, and it knows just when you mean to click, and when you don’t.

At first it was a little oversensitive, but I’ve honestly adjusted super quickly because of how fantastic it is. Plus, again, the audio feedback is very nice. Also, while I wasn’t sold on the wrist rest at first, it is honestly nice to have.

All in all, this keyboard is so good that my work keyboard is starting to become unbearable in comparison. Build quality is excellent and durable, with no obvious defects. Lighting is gorgeous, vibrant, and easily tweaked in Razer Synapse.

The only cons I can see are that some of the key symbols (like those accessed by hitting the shift key) are not backlit, which can make more complex typing difficult in low-light conditions. Also, there is no USB passthrough, which would be nice given that this takes two USB ports on your computer.

All that said, it’s a fantastic keyboard, and I love it to death.

I’m an engineer by trade so I spend a lot of time on computers doing programming and such. I was looking for a new keyboard for a setup at home. I bought this keyboard because it seemed to have the nicest response when I tried it compared to the other brands in store.

I bought the purple “clicky” version. I’ve used mechanical gaming keyboards at work and home for years because the response and feel is just so much better than membrane. I hooked it up at work to test it out, in place of a mechanical keyboard that used similiar switches to cherry mx blue.

I definitely prefer this keyboard over that one. It just feels so much smoother and not quite as loud. The keyboard I had been using at home used romer-G switches, which I liked. But the switches on the Razer seem to be the perfect combination of those and the blues.

I would say this is the best keyboard I have used. I wasn’t sure if I would like the wrist rest but so far it has been nice and comfortable. The lighting effects are pleasing to the eye and don’t seem overdone.

The build quality seems top notch. I could take or leave the volume control. I would normally use the volume control built into my headset but if I was using external speakers it may be more useful.

Amazing keyboard and mouse. The extended mouse pad is amazing. The extended mouse pad and the mouse has a slight magnetic pull to it probable to avoid it from rolling off when on the couch. It does take awhile to get used to the pull.

I would not recommend this to anyone who will not play one of the mainstream shooters. That is all this is for. There is a small list of games to play and majority will still require the controller to set up.

This also works for PlayStation but only for and even smaller selection of games and is limited to what it can do such as only keyboard use. If you have a PC and want to play from the couch this is pretty amazing slight weight not to much but feels tough.

Rubber bottom to help it from sliding around. Comfortable for the couch or gaming chair. Note the surface does tend to collect prints pretty fast. If you got sweaty hands you will see the prints. I give it a 4 stays since it is good all the way around just the surface tends to get fingerprints way to fast and it is annoying.

Also I do not like the give a bad rating for things out of the company controller such has dedicated mouse and keyboard support. I ended up returning since both Xbox and PS5 has very limited support for mouse and keyboard.

If your a dedicated mainstream FPS played then this is for you. Works week with COD and Fortnite. No division support or any other shooter. On Xbox all gears support KB&M halo does only while playing no mouse support in the menus.

Awesome peripheral! There’s a charging port from the keyboard to the mouse pad which comes with a cable just long enough to use it while it’s connected. The upper right hand corner of the mouse pad is also magnetic so you can just let your mouse chill out there if you are o ly typing.

I use this on a pc hooked up to my TV and it’s fantastic. The quality is top notch like every other razer product I’ve ever owned and I’ve been sticking with then since they came around in the mid 2000s.

Keyboard has a great click and the mouse is just as good as the wired mice they offer.

I feel like this product is extremely expensive and mine was defective. Supposed to be for wireless use so you can relax back and use it but the mouse was slow on screen and would stutter and the keys would work fine but on the screen would appear stuck and type a certain letter over and over until it decided to stop.

I did love the mechanical feel of the keys, though. If it worked properly I might have kept it. I returned it to Best Buy and the process was easy, I got a normal mouse and keyboard from Razer in-store (the lapboard was an online purchase) and they work great.

Don’t waste your money on this expensive board.

IšverstiShow in original languageThis keyboard will replace my aging K810, which, in my eyes, was perfection in a keyboard if they had included the Unifying receiver for it. Fast forward what seems like 10 years, and Logi finally came out with a replacement, the MX Mini.

It has a similar feel to the venerable 810, but is reasonably heavier. The keys are slightly lighter in touch than the 810, so I prefer the 810’s feedback more. The bad news, is that some unfortunate product decisions were made.

First, they did not make this keyboard compatible with the Unifying receiver. That would have enabled most users to maintain their current Logi ecosystem. However, they also did not include the new Bolt receiver.

Given that the full size MX is the same price, one would think that the low overhead of including the Bolt receiver would be easily justified. I strongly suggest including the receiver in future iterations of this product.

The second odd choice is the strange F keys, which also default to the icons of each key vs the F functions. Including emoji keys is just strange, most software automatically accommodates emoji use already, no need for hardware to trigger it.

However, at least they include the volume control, delete, and brightness keys. If they begin to migrate all of their product over to the Bolt receiver, then this keyboard could be their greatest triumph.

I still have my old 810 in use on another computer, but when it finally fails, I know what will replace it. Finally, Logitech support has always been reasonably prompt, so I feel comfortable spending $100 on a keyboard from a known source, vs the oddball products with oddball brand names sold elsewhere.

Just include the receiver guys, it’s silly not to.

I’m doing more and more stuff on my iPad, instead of my PC or laptop, but find the touch keypad slow when compared to using a proper keyboard. So, I wanted to get myself a decent quality one that would last me – rather than a £20 keyboard that’ll stop working in under a year.

I had heard (and seen) good things about the MX mini, and after checking out the specs I decided to give it one a go. I have to admit that the price was a slight concern, but after using it every day for a month or so now I’m glad I spent the extra money.

It’s light but solidly made and connects easily to my devices. The keys are reactive and comfortable to use, and the dedicated mute/unmute button is really useful for video meetings! I also like the dictation option, when you can use talk-to-text in text boxes and helps me when I’m trying to get down a stream of consciousness / brain dump faster than my typing can manage.

For years I loved using the wired Microsoft Ergonomic 4000 keyboard with the Star Programmable keys that allowed me to call up favorite documents and websites without other keystrokes to find them in File Explorer or a web browser.

But my 4000 died a few days ago, and I was sad to see it is no longer made by Microsoft. It has been replaced by several other models, but with without the Star Programmable keys. So I went to Best Buy and tried out five or six keyboards.

The closest replacement for my 4000 appeared to be the wired Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard priced at $45. But I wanted the best keyboard I could buy, and the Logitech ERGO K860 was $130, so I figured if it cost three times as much, it must be a MUCH better keyboard! It was comfortable to use, and the back of the package said it had programmable F keys, so even it didn’t have any unassigned programmable keys, I thought I could program the F keys to call up documents and websites like my Microsoft 4000 did.

So I bought the K860. I hooked it up at home and tried to figure out how to program the keys. There were no instructions in the package. I went online to the manufacturer’s website to download instructions, which said the function of the F keys could be changed to other choices, but did not say they were programmable.

It just had a list of other commands you could change the key to perform. So for example, the F1 key, which normally brings up Word Help, could be changed to one of several other specified operations, such as printing a document, or displaying your email or calculator, etc, but there was no option to call up a specific document or perform a macro like you could do on the 4000.

I called the ERGO help line to find out how to program the keys, and they said, “Sorry, you can switch the function of the F keys to the alternate listed choices, but you can’t program to do something else.

” So I returned the ERGO to Best Buy, and got a polite refund with no questions asked. I bought the $45 Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard, which also said on the back of the package that it had programmable keys.

I was pleased to see that indeed it in addition to the F keys, it has three more unassigned keys that are fully programmable, just like the keys on the 4000 were (although the 4000 had five of those).

And this keyboard is just as comfortable to use as the ERGO at 1/3 the price! The only advantage I can see with the K860 is that it is wireless, but I prefer wired because there are no batteries to fail and a wired connection is always better than wireless.

By the way, the new $45 Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard is more comfortable with better key feel than my old 4000, so I am delighted with the new Microsoft keyboard.

My keyboard 4000 started to show wrong characters, so I had to throw it out and get a new one. That was a nice keyboard. Too sad Microsoft chose to discontinue that keyboard and instead introduce this one.

While 4000 may look a bit dated, Microsoft could do a refresh instead of creating this keyboard which is difficult to use. The keyboard layout is just stupid. Why? Why? Why do you put a context menu key in next to the left control key? It is so cramped there, and when I first started to use the keyboard, I pressed the windows key many times instead of the Alt key.

And the office key and emoji key on the right? Seriously? Has ANYONE asked for them? You really think office workers are going to constantly send emojis to other people? And I created an ahk script just to disable that office key.

The placement of num lock, screen lock and pause are just idiotic. I get it that people don’t use these keys very much, but you could have just removed them instead of shuffling their positions? And they put print screen and delete next to F12, and the keys are tiny, which makes it difficult to find either F12 or print screen.

Otherwise the keyboard is ok. I still prefer the feel of 4000. Microsoft, please get yourself together and release a proper keyboard.

This is sometimes described as “mechanical” (not by Micro Center or Microsoft) – it is not. It is a direct replacement for the Microsoft Ergonomic 4000 keyboard. Gone from the 4000 are some unnecessary features that, despite having been a huge fan of that keyboard, I NEVER used – the prev/next keys below the space bar and the zoom between the split sections.

The re-designed wrist rest section is foam-based instead of fake leather, which I suspect will last longer and not be as prone to flaking. One feature which will take some getting used to is that the F-row keys are simply too close to the number row keys, meaning if that you’re used to applications where you’re using the F-keys a lot, or the number keys, you have to think a little more.

I get that this, in addition with other cosmetic and media key changes, allow the keyboard to occupy less space than the very large Ergonomic 4000, but it does take a slight period of adjustment if you’re making the switch.

Cosmetically, it is a vast improvement in appearance from the Ergonomic 4000, which was my favorite keyboard until they stopped manufacturing it.

Pairing: I bought the keyboard to use with my Nexus 9 (android) tablet. Out of the box pairing was a breeze and following the instructions on the slip sheet it took <1min to pair with my tablet. While writing this review I also paired it with my phone (Nexus 5) with equal ease.

As advertised it was easy to switch between the two without re-pairing by selecting the proper “device button” at the top of the keyboard. Functionality: One of the reasons I selected this keyboard over others was because it is adaptive to different OS’s and would allow for full use of the different function keys with my device.

So far I have found all of the special keys to function properly with my Nexus 9, these include the “home” button, the button that allows you to toggle through different windows, the “back” button and the audio short cut butttons.

So far I have found the use of these convenient while browsing. Additionally, traditional short cuts like “F5” to referesh and “ctrl+C” & “ctrl+V” to copy and paste also work. To me this is a definite plus as sometimes the copy and paste operations can be tricky with a touch screen and no keyboard.

Typing Experience: I am a fairly proficient typist who can type by touch without looking at the keys and I find that I can type at my normal rate with this keyboard without having to slow down due to its size.

I find the size to be big enough to allow you to type comfortably while also being compact enough that it could easily be put in a bag and taken with you if you are on the go. When typing the keys are fairly quiet and have a nice feel to the key press.

One of my main trepidations with this product was the round keys, but I haven’t found them to have any impact on the typing experience. In fact the keys are nice and concave making it easy for your fingers to rest on them as opposed to the flat style keys that some products use.

Overall Impressions: I find the keyboard to be solid and good quality and would highly recommend it. I mainly use it with my tablet while sitting on the couch and have found it to be comfortable to use while setting on my lap.

The size makes it comfortable to use on a regular basis while still being easily portable and the compatibility of the different function keys makes it easy and convenient to use with Android devices.

I was looking for a compact, wireless keyboard to build out my DeX setup for my Galaxy S22 Ultra and decided on the Logitech K380 (white). After approximately four months of use I am happy with the purchase and overall experience the K380 offers.

Pros: Build quality is very good, especially at the price point; Compact and slim making it easy to pack in a bag or store in a drawer; Zero connection issues with any devices I’ve tried/used (Samsung S22 Ultra, LG C1 OLED TV, OnePlus 7 Pro, iPad (2014), Acer laptop); Good key feel/tactility for an inexpensive, non-mechanical keyboard; Aesthetically good looking, in my opinion; Simply device switching; and, Price.

Cons: The only con I can highlight is that the round key caps, combined with the size of certain keys (Enter, Shift) does mean I still regularly miss the intended key despite being a touch typist of about 90-95 wpm.

I can’t speak to battery life at this point but I’ve had the same included batteries in it since purchase and haven’t had to change/replace them, which is to be expected given the claimed 24 month lifespan.

I can say, however, that other Logitech products I’ve used or owned have all lived up to the claimed battery life so I have no worries regarding the K380. All-in-all, I would say the Logitech K380 Multi-device Wireless Keyboard is defitinely worth your consideration, at the very least, and a worthwhile purchase if you’re in the market for a keyboard in this category.

The goods: Simple multi-device switch. It does take a bit for it to reconnect, but it’s fast enough at the tap of a button. Multiple keys are registered when clicked (great for gaming). Universally compatible-I’ve tried it with macbook, imac, windows laptop, windows desktop, and ipad.

Having a single volume key that is recognized by all these devices is great! It’s got some weight to it. I’m not sure if it’s artificial or real, but that little bit of weight helps in making it feel less cheap.

The bads and other notes:The arrow keys are a bit too small. there are enough real estate to increase the size. It’s honestly a bit annoying if you need it for games, but otherwise manageable. The ctrl key is on the outside (to the left of the fn key).

Not really a bad thing, but it will be a pain to hit ctrl+t for people with smaller hands! It’s uncomfortable even for my big hand haha. Lastly, this keyboard is slightly smaller than the average 60% keyboard.

TL:DR: Typing is great (still 100-120 wpm; small brag haha), weight is great, multi device switch is great. Small arrow keys bad.

Just like any keyboard, this worked well for me, but, as with any new keyboard, it takes a re-programming muscle memory on hand placement-that took virtually no adjustment. I was pleasantly surprised that the wrist rests were comfortable and well designed.

My wrists were positioned with no effort needed to “hold” my hands / wrists by the keyboard. And my hands just lie naturally without having to bring my elbows closer together, as before. Now, my elbows are comfortably placed on my desk, shoulder-width apart.

One thing I miss is the “right-mouse” click key that was on my other keyboards. It was easy to hit the “context” key to bring up the options that a right key would normally be displayed: spell checking, options for highlighted text or selected objects.

Another I have, unrelated to this particular keyboard, is “feeling” the slight bump on the “F” and “J” keys to let my fingers “know” where the rest of keyboard keys are located. I could no longer fell this slight “built-in” bump.

What I did was to punch out a piece of that thin (1/32″) Styrofoam sheeting used in shipping. I punched out two dots with a paper punch and, with some double stick tapes, stuck them on to the two keys.

These keys now have a very soft, palpable finger repositioning guide. Now, IF I can just find a mouse that _I_ can use. The semi-vertical mice would probably work well — but only for folks who, unlike me, have a thumb on their right hand.

Currently, the ONLY mouse that can work for me is the Logitech MU0007 mouse where I can pretty much cover and control my mouse without needing a thumb to grab the mouse to move it. I to have to work around accidentally squeezing the “thumb buttons” on the left side of the mouse.

Because my hand is so far “over” the mouse, this is generally not an issue; there is enough of gentle curve on the left side of the mouse my. thumb-stub can grab the back half of the mouse. Also, the semi-rubberized cover on the side helps alot.

My index and middle fingers can depress the left and right mouse buttons that make up the top shell of the mouse — as well as using the scroll wheel.

I am a touch typist and usually type around 90-100 words per minute. Since I am used to typing on laptops, I was not looking for any mechanical keyboard. My experience with my brother’s Microsoft LXM-00001 showed me that the ergonomic layout can be very comfortable, but there is a learning curve.

It takes some time to get used to the new layout and your typing speed can take a temporary dip during this phase. When I finally got the Logitech K860, the quality just stood out from the moment I opened the box.

The keyboard is extremely sturdy and has very little flex. The built-in write rest is a well-thought bonus. In addition to providing comfort, it helps me keep my hands stable, even at high typing speeds.

This helps me prevent mistakes I make when I move my hands too much. The keys are not mechanical but have a decent travel distance and the right actuation force for my taste. The keys are also extremely quiet so I don’t feel guilty pecking away at 100 words per minute even though I know people are working nearby.

This was a nightmare when I once experimented with a mechanical keyboard with cherry blue switches. They are extremely loud. I use the keyboard on both mac and windows and so far there was no compatibility issues.

When the computer goes to sleep, the keyboard turns itself off to save battery but immediately fires back up at the stroke of a single keystroke. Everything about the keyboard speaks of Logitech’s quality, the sturdy keys, the built quality of the keyboard and the stability of typing experience.

I highly recommend it to anyone who is willing invest in a good quality keyboard for long-term usage.

I bought the huntsman elite while it was 159. 99 in-store and so far I am really liking it. I first considered trying a hot-swappable keyboard but could not let the $40 sale price go. about 3 weeks later and I love using this keyboard and it works perfectly for not just gaming, but for my school work as well.

The RBG and control from Razer Synapse are fairly easy to learn and look good. The media and volume control in the top right corner is a huge plus for me as I listen to music often while working and gaming.

The purple opto-mecha switches feel crisp and feel very satisfying to type on (do note I am coming from a laptop membrane keyboard). The wrist rest is also very plush and a lot better than the Blackwidow plastic wrist rest.

The wrist rest also has RGB lights and syncs to the keyboard via the magnetic connection point. I recommend this to anyone who isn’t too into the “build your own keyboard” trend, is looking for a good-looking sturdy keyboard, and is willing to spend a couple of extra dollars for quality.

I have enjoyed my time with this keyboard so far and have enjoyed the rich feature set of this board. Razer nailed the looks. It can be loud if you want that or quiet if you adjust how far you push the keys down without any performance hit.

The only downside I could forsee is that it needs two available USB ports. One for the keyboard and one for the underglow. Not necessary to function but be advised. The palm rest attaches via magnet on the front making it extremely modular to give a user options.

The palm ready also has underglow as a nice bonus.

After doing much research, this was the best option for the price. There are so many keyboards and keyboard companies out there, and many people push logitech, and indie brands, but this keyboard is good for everything.

I love the multimedia switches on the upper right, it is always a great thing when you can easily and quickly turn down your volume. OoO. Of course the RGB is the beautiful, but you have to use Razer software, which isn’t a deal breaker, but learn how to use it so you can customize your lights, if that is what you wanted from it.

The mechanical switches I love, I love to hear the clicking of the keys, I know there are people who don’t like them, but I love it. The wrist rest is also very nice and soft, it also lights up as well around the edges.

Only thing, I like that it is easily removed, but at the same time, feels too easily removable. So it depends on what you like. I like it both ways, as other people use the keyboard as well. Thinking about not being able to use it while writing this review makes me sad, because it is such a nice keyboard to type on as well as game on.

Dont overthink, dont read more reviews, this is it, this is THE keyboard. Ive tried all other Microsoft ergonomic keyboards, including the latest surface ergonomic, but this one beats them all. Pros Extremely comfortable to type on it, its just a pleasure, difficult to describe.

Key travel distance is optimal, somewhat between a laptop keyboard and a normal keyboard. The key switches are fantastic, and Ive used mechanical keyboards as well, but these ones just feel absolutely perfect to me Ultra quiet.

If you like quiet keyboards this is also your choice. But still the sounds it produces its really nice, many people has already told me in the office, how soft Even if you are not used to ergonomic keyboards it doesnt take too long to get used to this one.

Once you are used to it, you will see that your typing speed will experience a significant increase. In my case I went from 100 Words per minute to 120. You can measure this with any of the available test on the internet, just google that.

Its compact and thats pretty cool as well, so some of the keys are now closer than in a standard layout, which saves you time and increase your productivity. E. g. Pg UpDown, HomeEnd, Insert. and also the Delete key is bigger now, which I find really useful.

Cons You cannot buy the keyboard separately, it comes with the numpad and the mouse even if you dont use them like me if you are a hardcore numpad user you may find uncomfortable to have it separated from the rest of the keyboard.

But this could be an advantage at the same time as you can place it wherever you want. It doesnt come with Bluetooth, which means you have to spend one of your USB ports to plug the receiver that comes with the keyboard.

This also means that you cannot use the mousenumpad in another PC.

I immediately fell in love with this keyboard and how it felt. The keys are responsive and so far have had no issues with sticking. The wrist rest is comfortable and I adapted to the keyboard very quickly.

It wasn’t long before muscle memory took over and I am now able to find my way around the keys effortlessly. However I will have to rely on muscle memory from here on, because the letters on the left hand keys have started to wear away after only 7 months of use.

Granted, it is used constantly during the day and gets a lot of mileage put on it, but I don’t think the wear and tear should be this noticeable after only 7 months. There are also visible oil/grease marks on the thumb keys that no longer wipe off.

I will be trying to replace the letter graphics on the keys because I love the feel of this keyboard too much, but am disappointed with its rapid obvious wear.

I’ve had great luck with a number of Logitech products ever since I spent some time chatting with its two young co-founders at their card table-sized “booth” in a huge computer show in Taipei a few decades ago and as a result have maintained a soft spot for Logitech ever since.

At least until I got my wife an iPad for Christmas and picked up this keyboard to go with it. Since my wife rarely, if ever, uses the iPad and has not even once tried the keyboard I decided to give them a try.

Big surprise. The iPad? Terrific but to my great disappointment the Logitech keyboard is so stiff it’s nearly unusable. For example, the space bar has to be pressed near its exact center to do its job and even then it demands way beyond normal pressure to get a space out of it.

And it’s the same story with just about every other key; they require about twice the pressure of any keyboard I’ve ever owned and I’ve had a bunch of ’em. One of the other reviewers mentioned that their keyboard had finally “broken in” after a while.

Really? I’ve never had a single computer peripheral require that it be “broken in. ” This keyboard is so bad that I’m returning it. When I bought it the only one left at BigBuy was this one in its sealed box so I couldn’t try it out and since unsatisfactory stiffness is mentioned in dozens of reviews I should have known better.

Could mine be a lemon? Maybe, but I doubt it. Sadly this thing is far from what I’ve come to expect from Logitech.

I got this thinking it would be really useful. I had another Logitech keyboard that I had used greatly for my PS3 which was useful because it had a built in mouse pad. I left that device to my parents.

Flash forward to now. I looked up that other keyboard and the problem is that it requires a “unifying receiver” (the dongle) in order for it to work. Hence the purchase of this product. I prefer typing on a physical keyboard rather than using touch screens.

I own a multitude of devices that are Bluetooth enabled for which this product solves the problem of using. The keyboard is sturdy. The buttons themselves are a little odd being circles rather than rectangular and takes little time to become as familiar with.

I acknowledge that for the devices of used it for (Firestick 4k, iPad, PS4), it actually sees very little use. I realized that I prefer a larger keyboard that isn’t as cramped. Just personal preference.

What’s neat is that it has the ability to remember and switch between 3 different profiles to connect to your devices. I think this is a 5 star product, but ultimately because I use this infrequently (due to size), I don’t think it was the perfect purchase.

I should have gotten a larger keyboard, but those ones with the touchpad are crazy expensive. This is a good alternative.

I have had my old combo for a while. This is a nice replacement for the price. The keyboard is more solid than my old board. It has strong key feedback. The mouse is more responsive than my previous mouse.

I like how the mouse has a cradle for my thumb. I am not a gamer, so I cannot say if it serves hardcore gamers well.

Great weight to this one, not a gamer but definitely a power user. Keys are responsive even from a distance. Doesn’t feel cheap, works great. Mouse is nice has forward and back and dpi controls. Awesome for multiple screens.

Would recommend, and have to friends that need a new wireless combo.

I like to add some flash to my desk at work and it has become the background to several videos. I am pleasantly surprised with the quality and life of it. I use it for CAD and other reports probably 30 hours a week and have had it almost a year and haven’t had to change batteries.

Beats my assistants Logitech “ergonomic” board any day!.

This keyboard has all the features I was looking for 1. Individually backlit mechanical switches. I can customise the keys to my hearts content and have layouts for each game. I dim/turn off keys not being used so I’m not distracted by them.

The mechanical switches also give great reliability and typing pleasure. 2. Low profile and with awesome brushed aluminum finish. Just so aesthetically pleasing. I like a stealthy black/grey tone set up so choosing this keyboard was a no brainer.

3. Lightspeed wireless – reduce desk clutter, reliable and fast technology, and still awesome battery life. 4. Automatic profile switching via G Hub – recognises which game I’m playing and the keyboard enters my custom layouts.

Then, when I switch to work, I’m back to a fully lit no nonsense layout without having to do anything. Spent a bit of money for it but if I think about it, I probably won’t buy a keyboard again for 5 or even 10 years.
