20 Best Moisturizing Deep Conditioner For Curly Hair (2023 Updated)

This product has changed the experience of not only mine but my little boys curly hair. This incredible conditioner being the deep moisture that our hair desperately needed. I could feel the difference the first time I used it while I was still in the shower.

Ima start this review being HONEST I first tried bounce curl a few yrs back when there was only the Light Creme gel, my hair was DAMAGED & it did NOT work well so I strayed away from it even when new products came out because my experience didn’t let me “believe the hype” But let me just sayyyyyyyy yrs later now with about 85% healthier curls I’m so glad I’m giving bounce curl a try again.

This is my first cleanser from them & OMG!!! I have fine hair which is usually pretty straight when wet & for the FIRST time I have CURLS WHILE SOAKING WET!!! I don’t use cleansing conditioners aka co washes so i don’t have what to compare it with but I love how it felt on my scalp and ends of hair how I was able to finger detangle with it on and the smelllllllll! It’s a different scent from the other 3 products I’ve tried (leave in, clump & define, deep conditioner) but it’s still a pleasant scent for ME! I just wanted to keep applying product even tho my hair was saturated lol.

Okay, so I write this in follow up of the Detox Scrub (which I highly advise you use in conjunction with this). Same as before, I bought this after spending three weeks in the woods on a Field Operation with my unit.

My hair was disgusting and had been pulled into a bun for the whole time. There was pollen, dirt, sand, and probably a homeless person living in it. I used the Detox scrub first to cleanse my soul and followed it up with this bad boy for 10 minutes as the instructions say.

Ladies and men of locks. I emerged from the shower a new woman. My hair was blonde again, my outlook on life drastically improved, I felt like a blonde goddess. I needed this desperately after the Field.

If you’re a service member, buy this and put it in your routine. Thank me later. Your hair and scalp will thank you immediately as it turns to life. I use the scrub and mask every Friday in preparation for a weekend of my hair down.

This hair mask does not get the attention it deserves! I keep coming back to it again and again. You also cant beat the value. I’ve used many masks from top of the line to drugstore products. This is the only mask that makes my hair (wavy, thick, coarse, color treated and lots of heat/styling tools) and my daughter’s (long, thick, fine, very dry) extremely hydrated and soft.

And it smells like you’re on a vacation at the beach, so whats not to love. If you aren’t a fan of coconut and banana scents, this definitely isn’t for you. Highly recommended!.

I’m always open to trying shampoo/conditioner/hair masks/deep conditioning masks. And I am ALWAYS open to Sun Bum products. But I admit, I’m a little skeptical. I LOVE this hair mask! My hair is colored and highlighted, dry, and a little wavy.

This mask makes it soft, moisturized, and less frizzy. It’s not too heavy, rinses out easily (which is a deal maker or breaker for me), and smells amazing! Another hit! I really love their products and I appreciate the cost factor.

Great products do not have to break the bank. Gonna have to keep this hair mask in my arsenal.

I have thick, course, long hair that is color treated regularly. This hair mask is the only one that restores moisture and shine to my hair. I use it 1-2 times per week and it smoothes out the cuticle and adds softness to my hair.

To activate the mask, you rub it in your hands and kind of clap it together to make stringy strands over your washed hair—making a “net” and work it into your hair. I was so happy to see this on Zulily for a fraction of what I pay anywhere else, I had to buy 2.

I would highly recommend.

A little goes a long way which is great, I live with a well and hard water so hot this to help combat the effects. Ive only used it once so far but it made my hair soft and I like the smell.

I’ve used the Fairy tales repel detangling spray but never the shampoos or conditioners. I am so mad I waited this long I bought the curly Q line for my 4 YO who has the most beautiful long super tight curly hair.

I was using baby dove but her curls needed life and I didn’t want to use anything too strong/ as a hairstylist it’s important for my daughter’s hair to look beautiful naturally while helping the integrity of her hair.

I put this on her while shampooing she kept telling me she loved the smell of the shampoo and the conditioner. I washed it off and it lathers beautiful a little goes a long way just add more water to create foam.

I then added the conditioner as I always do I left it on during her bath time bc she loves to sit and play for 20-30 minutes sometimes. After washing the conditioner off I let her hair air fry and let me tell you her hair had shine without me needing to add the hair serums I normally put to add shine so knowing that just the shampoo and conditioner does that for her I’m using this for life and with my daughter who’s currently in my belly.

Never going to use anything else! I love the repel detangler bc it repels lies not that she’s ever had it but I want to ensure I prevent it the line works amazingly!.

Use this with the matching shampoo on wash days, and just the conditioner on days in between. It’s okay, but it doesn’t soften and detangle my daughter’s fine 2c/3a hair as well as some others. I don’t understand why the conditioner bottle is so small compared to the shampoo, since curly people generally use way more conditioner than shampoo.

Smells nice, but sets off my hubby’s allergies whenever our daughter walks in. I know it works great for others, but it just isn’t a good fit for my daughter’s hair type.

This Hair food Curl Define Conditioner smells just like fruit; Mango to be exact. This conditioner has a breakdown of all the ingredients and also tells what they are, which is great, and also is in a pump bottle which is a plus.

Now. I usually let my conditioner stay on my hair for at least an hour under a shower cap, because my hair is thin and very fragile, so I need my conditioner to settle into my hair to help eliminate tangles and hair breakage, and I soak my hair with my usual conditioner, to try as much as possible to eliminate the tangles and breakage.

However, with this conditioner, I just put it in and washed it out after about five minutes because there was no time limit, like with my other conditioners. I noticed after I put the condition in, my hair texture changed and felt a little rough or straw-like.

The instructions said to comb it through your hair, which for people with my type of hair is a NO-NO. Now. this conditioner is thick, not like the watery other kinds of conditioners which I have used, which made me really apprehensive about combing my hair with it in my hair.

Nevertheless, I did as the instruction stated, and surprise, no hair came out, which is what would happen if I dared or even thought about combing my hair with any conditioner this thick in it. Next, I thought well my hair is probably going to be brittle because of the way the conditioner felt on my hair, however, after washing out the conditioner, my hair had become thick, and had a slight bounce to it.

which was something I was not looking for at all. The label makes no claim about thickening one’s hair, but it did make my hair somewhat thicker, and it left my hair soft. I think the feeling of rough hair, was a coating on my hair that made it thick but it also left my hair soft.

No feelings of rough or straw-like hair, just soft thick hair. Now. for me, anything that gives my thin fragile hair thickness. is a very BIG plus. That’s what I call a benefit because I have to almost use a whole can of mousse to obtain the same results, and then my hair REALLY does feel like unmanageable straw! Outta 5 stars Hair Food Curl Define Conditioner gets a 7.

I didn’t have any curls, so I can’t comment on the curl part. but, this is as good as it can get as far as a conditioner that gives more than you expect.

I have been using the curl define shampoo by Hair Food for a week now and my curls are starting to look much better. Before my hair was lifeless, frizzy, and it appeared as though my curls were disappearing.

After about 3 day’s, I really started to notice a difference. My hair felt like it was getting healthy. Before my hair felt dry and heavy but now it feels lighter and less frizzy. I have no doubt that the reason my hair is doing better is all due to the ingredients in this shampoo.

The aloe in this shampoo hydrated my hair which stopped my hair from frizzing and breaking. It also helps that this shampoo doesn’t have sulfates, parabens, alcohol, and silicone, which are some of the key ingredients that causes your hair to dry and break.

By adding mango, this shampoo delivers antioxidants and vitamins to my scalp, which helps with dandruff and strengthens my hair by making the follicles stronger. This also helps with hair growth. All in all, this shampoo seems to really be working well for me.

And the fact that is smells good, is just icing on the cake.

I’ve been a faithful Mielle customer for years now and this deep conditioner has been my go-to for a while. I purchased several jars of the deep conditioner and a few other products during this year’s sale.

I was looking forward to using the products but was very disappointed with my delivery when it arrived. All of the deep conditioners I purchased smell, look, and feel different than the product I buy in stores and have used for over a year.

The consistency of the conditioners I was sent is a lot thicker than normal. It is more creamy and has a lot less slip than usual. The conditioner is supposed to be white in color but in two of the jars the product is yellow.

YELLOW!! And none of the products have the mint smell that they typically do. In fact, they smell like chemicals. I am beyond disappointed with this delivery. The products I was sent are clearly old or have been contaminated and I will not be purchasing them again.

I usually love this hair mask but I ordered for the first time two of the Babassu Hair masks directly from Mielle. One didn’t have a proper seal but the product was ok, not runny, and the second one, had a seal that was lifted and the product is very runny.

Both were send to me together in the same box. I sent an email to customer service asking for a replacement for just one because it was very runny and the product is not working on my hair the way it usually does.

Just like the rest of the Only Curls products, the hair mask smells divine. Not only does it smell great, but it does pretty great at its job, too! My hair had been feeling rather dry and damaged, this week.

I used the OC Deep Hydration mask yesterday, after cleansing and conditioning my hair. I left it on for around 20 mins, and after styling and drying, my hair felt stronger, more nourished and more healthy.

And it still does today. Already looking forward to using it again, soon!.

I have only started using Only Curls recently, I wanted to follow the curly girl method and these were approved products. I am still learning and experimenting as my hair is wavy/frizzy/sometimes dry due to colouring.

I have noticed an improvement since using Only Curls, my hair is a lot softer and looks so much more wavier after it’s been washed. I’m just trying to find ways to keep my waves looking fresh after I’ve slept on them and that’s the only reason I haven’t given 5 stars!! But so far it’s been good!.

My Hair: Baby fine, blonde, color treated, straight, dry, brittle, split ends, frizzy, dull. I have tried a million and one hair masks in my time. Only a handful give me results that I am happy with.

This one is one of the masks that truly work wonders with my hair. As you can see by my hair description above, my hair needs all the TLC it can have. Right before I started using this mask, I did a full trim of my hair, and was sure to go through and remove any split ends.

I then began using this mask about 3 times a week, for 10-15 minutes. I have been using this along with the shampoo and conditioner by GK Hair to achieve maximum results. After first use I noticed a big change with my hair immediately, but also days after.

My hair felt softer, looked smoother, and was just beautiful! I am still in the early stages of using this, but so far I love how it makes my hair feel. I tend to concentrate this towards the middle of my hair down through the ends since that is where I need the most deep conditioning.

I currently have waist-length, straight, fine hair which I dye golden blonde (naturally darkish blonde) every few months at the roots only. It can be rather dry below the shoulders and is prone to tangles, especially the hair that rests directly on my back and at the base of my neck.

I have tried a few grocery store deep conditioners (e. g. , Aussie, Garnier, etc. ) and while they smell great and make my hair feel nice for a day, they don’t hold up for long. This product, on the other hand, is pretty amazing.

GK Hair, Deep Conditioner oil conditioners and masks have a spicy perfume-like smell to them (I assume that’s just what GK Hair, Deep Conditioner oil smells like), and this is no exception. However, the smell does not linger in my hair once it’s dried and the benefits far outweigh the weird smell.

Sometimes I use shampoo first, sometimes I use a cleansing conditioner first. I like using cleansing conditioners instead of shampoo, but sometimes my hair gets really greasy and I need to shampoo. The first thing this product does when I apply it is allow my comb to glide effortlessly through my hair in the shower.

I’m usually pretty good at getting out any tangles before my shower, but sometimes I still get annoying knots that need to be carefully combed out. This helps slicken up my hair better than regular conditioner which allows for the ease of combing.

I usually leave it on my hair for around 10 minutes and then rinse well. Then I towel-dry my hair and comb it straight. Sometimes I add a little GK Hair, Deep Conditioner oil to the ends at this point, but I’m pretty inconsistent about it so I can’t really comment on how that factors into anything.

I usually don’t blow-dry my hair, either, and I clean my hair every 2 – 3 days. The end result is that my hair is shiny and hydrated and stays pretty tangle-free. For a few washes, it’s also much easier to comb my regular conditioner through my hair in the shower, which helps keep me from ripping out hair! I go anywhere from one to two weeks before I use this mask again, depending on how my hair looks and feels (which generally depends on things like the weather or how often I’ve been washing it).

I know that curly and thick-haired people tend to be big users of GK Hair, Deep Conditioner oil products, but it really works great on straight and fine hair, too! I think there’s a possibility that it might weigh down some fine hair or make it greasy, so if you find this is happening to you, I encourage you to try changing up how much you use and how often you use it.

You can also consider cutting it with regular conditioner to decrease the amount of oil going onto your hair, or only use it on problem spots, like the ends. Finally, if your hair is really dry and stressed out, I recommend mixing some of this with honey and letting it rest on your hair for an hour.

Honey helps bring more moisture into your hair and completely rinses out with water. I usually get some pretty gnarly hair in the summer with all of the swimming I do, and my honey mix does wonders!.

I really enjoy this product! It probably would be considered a “leave-in” that should only be used occasionally, but I use it as my regular hair conditioner right now. Sometimes if I have the time, I’ll use it as a mask and keep it in for around 5 minutes before I rinse.

In the shower though, I only do keep it in for about a minute. I have pretty dry and damaged hair from coloring it and straightening it a lot, but since I’ve been using this stuff (a little over a month now), I’ve noticed my hair looks and feels a lot more healthy.

It took some time though! I didn’t notice a huge difference until a few days ago, my sister complemented my hair and said its been looking a lot healthier lately. That’s what prompted me to write a review, because I hadn’t really noticed before that.

But just like someone who is losing weight, if you see them every day you might not notice, but if you haven’t seen them in a while you might be like WHOA! Its pretty much the only thing I’ve changed about my hair regiment recently, so I assume its the conditioner that’s making it look and feel healthier! Also, smells great! I saw some reviews that said it came damaged in the packaging, but mine was sealed well and I didn’t see any problems.

Would definitely recommend if you have dry/damaged hair. I also take a VERY small amount (about the size of a dime, maybe even less) and rub it in my hands and then through my towel-dried hair before I blow it dry/straighten it because it seems to help with flyaways/static and to keep it smooth (especially during the dry winter months).

I wash/condition my hair at least 4-5 times a week, and have had this product for about 5 weeks now and still have over half a container left. A little goes a long way!.

I’ve only tried the conditioner without the shampoo but I will no doubt be buying both! The conditioner is perfect for someone like me. I don’t have color-treated hair, so it’s just my natural hair and it gets dried out so easily.

Most products I’ve used tend to just suck the moisture out–even conditioners! So when I found this I was a bit skeptical. When I got this the first thing I did was smell it. I’m one of those people who aren’t really big on having strongly scented hair products because I’m pretty sensitive to smells.

I was absolutely thrilled when this didn’t have much of a scent. When I first used it, I noticed that it was more on the thick side, a spectacular discovery. After the first use before my hair even dried, I could tell that it was softer.

Unlike the other times, when I got out and still had dripping hair, my hair felt so smooth. Normally my hair would feel a little frizzy despite being soaking wet if that makes sense, but I didn’t get that feeling when I used this product.

I have short hair that reaches just barely my shoulders, so normally I have my hair up because I hate the feeling of my dry hair rubbing against the back of my neck but with the Argan Oil conditioner, I really didn’t need to put it up! So I really cannot put into words how much I love this product.

I’m in love with this. I wouldn’t have bought it; but I was telling my sister I couldn’t find a good conditioner; they all weigh down my hair or leave some nasty residue (even one from sally’s ). She reminded me about this one (Aussie Deep conditioner) and how I used to steal some from her when I was a kid.

It was good lol. So i bought it like eh, it’s affordable. If it doesn’t work, oh well. So I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks now; I love it!!! My hair is so soft after. My hair feels light and it feels like there is no residue.

My hair is naturally straight (just adding that info). If you look into ingredients, I do too! I understand this had alcohols, but if you do research there is different types of alcohols. They’re not all drying.

And I can’t remember if this has silicones, but not all silicones are bad. Some can cause buildup, but that’s an easy solution with a clarifying shampoo. I absolutely love this product and wish I bought it years ago.

Definitely try it out!!.

I have long curly hair that is currently yeeting out of my scalp due to telogen effluvium (thanks covid!). My scalp is a mess. I have to use Nizoral and as such, that can be extremely drying to my hair.

I don’t wash the ends and I try to focus on the scalp, but you know, it still rinses out and drips down my hair. The silicone free conditioners I was using for the curly girl method just were not cutting it and the ones with heavy shea butters seemed to irritate my skin.

My hair was looking rough. So I went back to this old favorite and I am glad I did. This is a nice thick formula that coats my hair and leaves it moisturized and easy to detangle with a wide toothed comb.

My curls look great again and not a frizzy dried out mess.

I used to use this product back before they did all the confusing rebranding and when they had one product simply called: 3 minute miracle. No ‘moist’ or ‘curly’ – just 3 minute miracle. It was fragrance free.

It was AMAZING. Truly the best conditioner I’ve ever used. After trying many other ‘fancier’ conditioners, I’ve tried coming back to this but I don’t think it’s quite the same. Even the consistency is less think.

The ‘moist’ version is what I assume is closest to the original but it’s not the amazing conditioner it used to be. Really really which they’d bring that ‘classic’ formula back. Sigh.

My cousin told me about this overnight conditioner when I was telling her about how frizzy my wig gets after I bleached it. So I bought this one. Washed the wig, put some of this on it, put it in a plastic bag and applied some heat (just used a blow dryer for about 10 minutes) then let it sit in the same bag for a few hours, rinsed it out and let it air dry all night and OMG it looks amazing.

It keeps it curl pattern and is super soft again like the day I bought it! Absolutely recommend this! I also used Mielle’s leave in conditioner after rinsing the wig and I think that helped alot as well.

This is the only deep conditioner I use on my low porosity hair and I love it! Over time, I’ve seen how it’s softened my hair. I do hot oil treatments regularly, but I know the deep condition is also working its magic.

Super convenient to put this on at night every 2 weeks and wash it out in the morn, and then shampoo. The smell is amazing and the price can’t be beat.

I have pretty badly damaged hair from years of balayage – plus over three months of lockdown and no haircut. I received these at the end of our Sydney lockdown and I really loved this product at first.

I was so excited that only after three minutes of treatment it restored my So I was super excited to trial the Pantene Pro-V range. The texture of the treatment is super silky and has a pleasant scent.

I found using a tablespoon to be enough to cover the mid lengths and ends of my hair – usually I find I have to use several pumps of product when using other conditioners to get the same “silky” effect that this product gave me.

I like that the product was in a squeezey bottle and not a pump – it was easier to control how much product I wanted to use. One thing I would note, I used the Pro-V 10 Repair & Protect Shampoo before using this treatment.

The shampoo highlights that it is formulated with 0% silicones, paraffin, mineral oils, and colourants. I assumed the 3 minute treatment would also be free from these things, however when checking the back of the packet silicone is one of the first ingredients.

I would only recommend this product to people who don’t mind using silicone based hair products.

Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle Colour Protection Daily Treatment is fantastic. Forget the old Pantene products of yesterday. This will compete with any conditioner you’re using and most likely win. Some background, My hair is bleached, so it’s dry and a wee bit damaged so I need a thick nourishing conditioner BUT my hair is also fine lots and lots of it but quite fine.

So you see where I’m going. My usual experience is nourishing but leaves my hair flat and limp or lightweight but hair is dry and frizzy. Well Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle Colour Protection Daily Treatment leaves my hair nourished but not weighed down.

My only con is that you will go through it fairly quickly, and I found that it went much quicker than the shampoo. But since it’s available at supermarkets and chemists, wait for a sale and buy two daily treatment to one shampoo.

That way you’re buying a very reasonably priced product for an absolute steal. I am usually a high end purchaser of hair products and this is probably half to a third of the cost of the products I buy.

Having said all that I give Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle Colour Protection Daily Treatment Five stars and definitely will repurchase.

For reference, I have long, dry and thick hair. I used this treatment in place of my conditioner once a week (I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week). This treatment smells amazing, which is standard with the products in this range.

It was easy to apply, although I did need to quite a bit as my hair is long and thick, but was still was happy with the amount I needed to apply. I love that this treatment only needs 3 minutes. All of my other hair masks and conditioning treatments need a minimum of 10 minutes to be left on the hair, and sometimes I’m not just bothered to wait that long.

This pantene treatment makes it so easy to get a great result in so little time. My hair is left soft, shiny and feeling moisturised after using this treatment. I have used it in conjuction with the matching shampoo, and other branded shampoos.

While it works best with the matching shampoo, this treatment still does a very good job when being used with other branded products. I moved away from supermarket hair products a while ago. Trying this Pantene moisture treatment gave me a pleasant surprise as I did not expect a supermarket product to work this great.

I have tons of Curls products and have been using them for some time now. One thing I really like is their consistency. Most times I brand switch when doing my hair. I may use shampoo from this brand and a conditioner from another etc.

however with Curls, I use a whole line in one hair session. I particularly enjoy this hair mask. I’m currently experience some postpartum shedding, which is real discouraging, but keeping a good hair routine is important as you’re going through this.

This mask SMELL DELICIOUS first off. lol like some candy for your hair lol. It doesn’t just sit on top of your hair, it penetrates the strands to help provide moisture. A key to healthy hair is hydration and moisture ! This is a good creamy mask that helps revive your dull, dry strands.

I use is once a week after washing my hair. Although I’m shedding, I’m noticing how healthy, shiny and soft my hair is after deep conditioning. Once I’m done deep conditioning, I continue the rest of my routine with the other products from this line, particularly the leave in and curl cream.

I have been using this product for about 2 years now and let me say first off it smell delicious and secondly is so thick and creamy. I love the way this mask makes my hair feel once I rinse it out! I usually let it stay on for at least 30mins or so, and sometimes I even set under my hair steamer so that it can really penetrate my hair.

This mask is a go to mask for me when I want to really hydrate my hair. And it doesn’t hurt that Blueberry is one of my favorite scents. Being that my hair is not really thick I don’t need a lot and for that reason this product lasts for a while and I love that! If you want to really moisturize and hydrate and feel instant results on your hair, then you definitely should buy this mask! I feel that my hair is instantly healthier and happier after applying this product.

It has become one of my staples.
