20 Best Moisturizer For Oily Skin In Summer (2023 Updated)

I’ve been using Mario Badescu products for seven years; I have oily skin, that might also be getting less oily as I enter my mid-thirties, but my traditional annual regimen has been to use MB Oil Free Moisturizer SPF 17 in the warmer sunny months, and then to switch to Control Moisturizer for Oily Skin in the winter, when I’m not outdoors/in the sun as much.

I ordered a new bottle of Control Moisturizer for Oily Skin and the formula has changed; it’s not white and opaque anyone, but now sort of clear and translucent. I used it for several days in a row and it dried my skin out.

I’ve had to switch back to my Oil Free Moisturizer. Keep in mind that I started using this right as the weather got more cold and dry, and I really don’t struggle with acne or excessive oiliness. I’m sure this is a very effective product, but it’s just too effective for me personally now!.

This is one of my favourite moisturizers. Was originally introduced to this product when I was in high school but, ditched it for more expensive products until Sephora started carrying the line. Since it’s intro to Sephora I’ve been using it daily.

It’s lightweight yet has natural acids (from the buttermilk) that helps remove dead skin cells keeping my skin looking youthful. Because it is so lightweight you can layer serums or sunscreen and it won’t feel greasy.

I wanted to use this for a couple weeks before writing a review. I am obsessed with oils, but unfortunately a lot of them lead to breakouts on me except for a select few if I only use them at night after the rest of my skincare.

This one intrigued me because it is mostly cold pressed seed oils which are molecularly smaller and easier to absorb. I apply 2 drops over my moisturizer (ole henriksen strength trainer) in the morning and my makeup applies beautifully over it.

I apply 3 drops at night over the same moisturizer and my skin loves this stuff. It absorbs more than any oil I’ve ever tried. It doesn’t absorb entirely, there’s still a bit that stays dewy and glowy, but not a complete oil slick like others that just sit on top and never soak in.

It had made my skin SO soft and smooth and cleared any active breakouts. My skin was breaking out a bit when I first started using it, but my period was coming and was the real culprit. Because after my period, my skin cleared right up and I’ve been using this oil consistently day and night all the way through.

I think I’ve finally found the right oil blend for my skin. I have dry skin with occasional hormonal breakouts. I’ve tried Sunday Riley (Luna, Juno, CEO), Fresh, Josie Maran, Clarins, dermalogica, korres, etc.

If there’s a face oil in the line, I’ve used it! This one takes the cake. I’ve been wanting to try the True Botanicals Renew radiance oil, but this one is more than half the cost and works phenomenally.

So give it a try! (Pro tip: rub it between your hands/fingers and press it into the skin, not rub).

This saved my skin. My skin has been burning, stinging, and reacting for months, it got to the point where I can’t even wash it with plain water. I’ve used the cicaplast, the ceramide creams /Korean skincare and even plain sweet almond oil, some didn’t help at all, some help somewhat but they also break me out.

I had to forget about any makeup because I can’t prep my skin, looks terrible, and I can’t wash it off later. This oil gave me a huge jump in hydration, soothing and healing. I’m still dealing with these issues somewhat but this keeps them way at bay.

Removes the stinging feeling and I can wear my Kosas concealer again and it goes on smooth and doesn’t look so dry. I’ve even been able to go back to washing my face with Herbivore again. I will buy this again and again.

I’m so happy it works and doesn’t make me break out or dry me out further. Some oils have done that for me but for some reason this doesn’t. I’m very grateful. The deep oasis serum on the other hand inflames my skin really bad and burns and stings it.

It’s a curse to have dehydrated skin but not tolerate any of the humectants that work really well, hyaluronic acid, amino acids, fatty acids, glutamic acid, polyglutamic acid… still searching for a humectant serum I can tolerate to use under this.

Comes in beautiful Summer Fridays packaging like all their products do! This oil is incredibly hydrating two drops goes such a long way it’s incredibly rich and non greasy at all. I have incredibly sensitive skin which is also acne prone using rose hip oil alone breaks me out so I thought I’d try this blend of beautiful oils and it’s great – sits on the skin comfortably when used last or alone.

As rosehip is heavily scented it does overpower all the other oils and smells mainly of rosehip. The bottle also has a non drip stopper so it saves all the oil from dripping or taking too much so you get just the right amount you need to use.

I was initially quite sceptical about the price for the amount of oil as I usually go through same size face oil once a month but with it’s richness you only need a small amount so defo worth the price! Another great SF product!.

I should start by saying that it has taken years for me to find products that work for my highly reactive skin. My aesthetician introduced me to Image products and over the years through trial and error with her I have experienced much better skin.

I am at a crossroads though because I am not pleased at all with the packaging. I have had issues with the packaging on the Vital C hydrating oil, the Ageless Hyaluronic Acid, and the ACE Serum. Finally you have updated the Vital C hydrating oil packaging, why can’t ACE and the Ageless Hyaluronic have new packaging? Currently of the products I am using, the ACE and the Ageless Hyaluronic acid have the worst packaging.

The rubberish (not sure if it is rubber or not) glass dropper system is awful for these and I have had droppers break in the process of screwing the dropper lid back on and have had glass shards in my product pretty much rendering it useless…I have also had glass droppers break where the pieces were larger and did not fall into the container.

In order to access the product, I have had to attempt to pour it out which is a mess and wasteful or to use a dropper from another product which contaminates the product. The rubberish seal on the inside of the lid/dropper mechanism does not close all of the way so I have had these bottles leak when stored or traveling and it also allows air inside to contaminate the product.

Eventually the rubberish seal/dropper fails by tearing and the bottle contents are wasted due to air exposure and leaking. I have reached out to Image about this with photos and they are not concerned at all.

The first time this happened a few years ago, I messaged for awhile with an Image rep and finally told me to return them to my aesthetician and she can refund or replace on her dime. I didn’t think that was right.

Finally they offered her a refund for providing me with a replacement product. I provided the defective product packaging and hoped things would get better. This time after repeated attempts to get to anyone who cared, they said they never hear this type of complaint and they offered me 10% off my next purchase but I have to call in to do so, not order from my aesthetician.

I am not pleased with the Customer Care.

I really wanted to love this item, especially for the price. The cream was SO expensive and made ZERO difference. Not even a little. I have puffy bags under my eyes and dark circles. No difference in firmer skin, dark circles or puffiness as advertised in the description.

I chatted with an employee from Image and she said this is the product for me. Unfortunately, Image also does not take returns, which to me, doesnt say much about their belief in their products. I was going to order on Amazon but was afraid of a counterfeit product.

Now I wish I did, because at least Id get my money back. Ive had better results with some eye creams that Ive gotten at Whole Foods for puffiness and dark circles – and they were 1/3 the price if not less.

The product feels really nice on my skin, is not greasy and smells good in a natural way. I think it would help with dry skin under the eyes, which is not my concern. Ive used it for a week now, twice a day.

Zero results. Basically threw away $80.

The smell of this is so strong it makes me sick. I was loving this company because I thought they had non toxic ingredients in their products, but I was wrong. They use things like Pegs, Peg 8, etc… in their products which is highly toxic.

I had opened this eye cream a few months after buying it because I was finishing another one. After being stunned by the strong smell and ingredients I asked if I could return it on the live chat. They said no because it’s been too long since my purchase and that they’d see what else they could do, but I was never contacted.

Poor customer service. I’m moving on to a different non toxic brand. Do your research on ingredients before buying their products!.

I am a big skinceuticals fan and I love almost all of their products. When it comes to their products, since they have such an expansive and high quality array of products it’s more about choosing what you need based on your current skin condition.

I love this product for the spring, summer, and fall because during that time of year my skin doesn’t need as much moisture and this moisturizer provides the perfect amount of moisture. During winter I usually switch to a slightly heavier moisturizer.

For this moisturizer another added benefit I like is the slight sheer to it and this is coming from someone who loves a matter finish. There is something really illuminating about this moisturizer that I really enjoy.

Lastly, I would say it slightly and I mean very slightly helps reduce the look of large pores but that is mainly something I notice after a month of use. I highly recommend this product and will buy it again.

This is an honest review! I received a sample of this cream in the mail last spring. I loved it so much, I bought the full-sized jar from my dermatologist. I use it nightly after my retinol and serum, and I wake up every morning with dewy soft supple skin.

I have had a severe health concern the past 4 years along with going through menopause which resulted in some dramatic changes to my skin and am so grateful that I found this cream. A big plus is that it doesn’t pill up after layering my products like many other creams do.

I love its cooling effect on my skin too most likely from the natural herbs such as peppermint oil. I have tried so many different moisturizers, but this one is by far the best. I have been wanting to try the A.

G. E cream but haven’t yet because this works so well. It’s pricey, but a tiny amount goes a very long way. It’s definitely worth every penny. I hope that someday Skinceuticals will offer a larger sized jar option for its faithful customers.

I bought this in hopes of finding a good moisturizer that would keep my skin hydrated without leaving me looking and feeling greasy. And let me tell you! This did not disappoint! This stuff is incredible! It’s lightweight, hydrating and leaves an amazing glow to the skin.

I’ve always used department store moisturizers before, Estee Lauder, Chanel, Bobbi Brown, LaPraire, LaMer, just to name a few. And of course Sephora…this stuff beats them all! I loved it so much, I bought 4 jars just to make sure I didn’t run out anytime soon.

A little goes a long way, if you use more than a dime/nickel amount then you WILL feel greasy. It doesn’t take much. I’ve finally found my holy grail for daytime moisturizer. Please please Skinceuticals, don’t ever discontinue this!.

I’ve always had somewhat dry skin, so a lot of the facial cleansers I’ve used in the past have irritated my skin to the point that some of them tend to do more harm than good. I am in LOVE with the fact that the ingredients are primarily plant extracts, so I know I’m not adding anything too harsh or processed.

Been using for about a week and I’m clean and clear. It also smells great!.

I do not want to put my thoughts on here honestly. It seems like a random third-party possibly invented the moisturizer and it was just picked up by Pure for Men. I not believe, personally, that the type of clientele that PFM is trying to capture would or will be happy with this product.

I will say that the consistency is the best thing it has going for it as a product.

I have oily skin. Product does not leave an oily residue, and my face was left soft and smooth after each use. My skin did not develop oiliness throughout the day either, with only face cleanser, toner, and moisturizer utilized and no other face products (or makeup) applied, unlike with other “natural” or other general face products.

Dry patches on the sides of my temples went away after a few uses of this product and the moisturizer itself absorbs fairly quickly. Makeup applies well over the product. Moisturizer smells like peppermint, and if there is a higher concentration of moisturizer (ie not distributed evenly across the face) on one part of the face, there will be a slight burning sensation.

Otherwise I did not experience burning with the use of this product or other adverse reactions. This product also appears to diminish redness on the face almost immediately after use. I used my fingers to apply this product.

Biggest con is the size of the tube, which is the downgrade in my rating. Other products sold by Beauty by Earth (BBE) have larger containers. Would be useful not to have to buy more moisturizer before I am less than halfway through the gel cleanser and toner.

In addition, and this may be related to use of BBE’s face cleanser and toner, but I have seen a minimization of pock marks left by chickenpox I had about 15 years ago.

I don’t see the product that I am sharing, so please look at the picture for the correct AMAZING product to purchase. This is a must have for winter. As the winter months are creeping up on us quick,I know my skin gets very dry.

When I received this product complimentary, I was surprised I really liked the scent. I feel as if a lot of feminine products can be super sweet or floral which isn’t my favorite, but this is a nice balance.

I typically don’t like scented products on my face, but I really liked the consistency of the cream. My face gets so dry in the winter in Chicago, so I have to use great moisturizer. This left a nice glow, but took a little bit for it to set into my skin.

Got this as a gift/sample from ULTA I totally fell in love with this! I’ve been hunting anything close to a knock off of Tatcha this one came close. It’s got a nice scent but not overpowering (I like scent in my products tho).

Seems to be a great light moisturizing cream that’s easily absorbed. I think it’s a great daytime cream that’s good alone or under make-up depending on your preference! I’d never tried this brand nor heard of it until ULTA turned me onto it but I’m so glad they did! 💜.

I absolutely love this product! This makes my face feel silky and smoothe! Very effective in my eyes! It smells amazing as well very easy to apply and wash off! I have been using this product for at least 3 years and I wouldn’t change it for anything else.

The feeling of this going on was lovely, and I felt hydrated despite how lightweight it is. However, it’s questionable for something that claims to be ok for sensitive skin to have so much fragrance.

The fragrance can be a bit much but dissipates within a couple hours (I’m sensitive to smells), so I pushed past that and have used it once daily for 10 days without other changes to my routine. I haven’t noticed a difference in my skin being more luminous, with or without makeup.

I had acne when I started using it. The inflammation in my acne has gotten worse/it hasn’t healed and my redness has flared as well. On day 4-5 I noticed my skin was dryer and starting to flake in patches.

I cut back on my Rx retinol and my skin continued to flake and became dryer. Today I had a burning sensation and flaking around my eyes (not even using it there) and it dawned on me I’m probably having a reaction to the product given the gradual increase in inflammation, and now my skin has had enough.

I’ve used the actives in this product before without issue, but the formula isn’t working for my sensitive skin. It’s unfortunate so many of these reviews are folks that used it briefly for a promotion and said they liked it causing the star rating to go up…I shouldn’t have blindly trusted in a rush to find a new moisturizer.

I love this affordable moisturizer! It is a really good value for the price. The consistency is on the thinner side and less easy to apply and gets absorbed easily as well. I was really surprised that something with this type of consistency would work so well on my dry skin.

Great ingredients and very lightly scented. The scent is a little floral but not overbearing and a little creamy or maybe even a tiny bit powdery. I personally love how it smells! The product really does smooth and soften the skin.

So this moisturiser is actually amazing. I’ve been trying to find one that works well for my skin for years and I’ve finally found it. I have a mixed skin type, very oily over my nose and chin but very dry on my forehead.

I couldn’t find anything that worked for both! My face constantly looked shiny over my nose (it got to the point that my makeup wouldn’t last for even 30 minutes before all the shine came through) but then felt so dry and subsequently itchy in other places.

I’ve already spent a small fortune on expensive moisturisers so was reluctant to try another but I’m so glad I did. My makeup now lasts for about 6 hours before the shine comes through (a miracle) and even then it’s much less and my forehead no longer feels dry.

I’m even having fewer breakouts. The product itself is nice to apply. Very light and isn’t greasy and is absorbed very quickly. Completely odourless (which I want in a moisturiser) and a little goes a very long way.

The bottle lasts for months. Thoroughly recommend for oily/mixed skin types.

I have been using this for past two weeks. I like the consistency of the moisturizer. However it still feels oily on my skin (I am a combination to oily skin person) when applied in the AM. So I generally use a small amount that too on a damp face, which helps with the absorption.

In the PM, I do apply it a bit more and it works. My only complaint is the fragrance of the product, it smells like those medicated creams. I wish it has the baby powder like fragrance of the matte sunscreen, I really like that.

If you have oily skin and larger pores, this moisturizer will Change your life ! It’s literally the only moisturizer I can use for my skin. It’s so good and doesn’t make my skin oily at all, yet is super hydrating and does the job.

The only thing I don’t love about it is that it doesn’t have the greatest scent, in fact it’s almost scentless but I enjoy when creams smell nice. Overall, amazing product for oily skin! Highly recommend.
