20 Best Moisturizer For Dry Skin Non Comedogenic (2023 Updated)

I’ve struggled with face moisturizer and lotions for as long as I can remember either two scenarios happen; -I find a moisturizer that works but soon after my face slowly begins to revolt and itchiness and a tight feeling begins to happen.

-Im forced to apply multiple moisturizers because one after another does not work and I’m just trying to find some relief from the itchiness and tight feeling. When I came across this I decided to give it a go, I’ve never used a gel moisturizer and believed that it could hydrate my skin more thoroughly in that form.

I also know that Neutrogena was a brand that made one of the other face moisturizers that sort of mostly work for me so it was worth a shot. BE AWARE- The first couple days of using this product I was not applying it correctly.

What your going to want to do with gel moisturizers is apply a thin layer of the product on your skin and allow it to absorb itself into your skin (not rubbing the product into your skin which is what I was doing) after learning that my opinion completely changed.

I’ve been using this product for almost two weeks now and at this point with other moisturizers I’d be doing a second application about 10 minutes later hoping for relief of that tight feeling I’ve mentioned.

I’m not having to do that with this product! There is no itchy feeling, or tightness and no need for a second application. The consistency of this product is well, a gel. A watery gel not a thick gel.

It’s light weight and you can feel that it’s hydrating. Glides easily across your skin. It absorbs into your skin leaving unbelievably soft, it does not make your skin feel greasy. The price is a bit much for a regular drugstore product (which most are around or under $10) but for a gel cream it is a steal.

I found this product at Walmart for $20 CAD (I also found it on Amazon last week on sale for $14 so picked up my next container). I do wish there was a bit more in the container, or at least not as much wasted plastic for a thick container.

Though I find you don’t need to much of the product to cover the entire face. Non comedogenic meaning it won’t clog pores. Hydrating ingredients including hyaluronic acid and olive extracts. After my research for my oily T-zone and understanding that I was producing more oil in those areas due to dehydration I began to make sure I was applying a tiny bit more of this moisturizer to my forehead and I’ve found its helped me relieve my oily T-zone.

Also as of yet I don’t have wrinkles (that I can notice or worry about) but the hydration in this product can help prevent aging and wrinkles which are often caused by dehydration.

This lightweight gel claims to moisturize for up to 24 hours and leaves your skin feeling soft, soothed and comfortable all day. I really did like this gel moisturizer which looked like and had a texture like applesauce.

It’s very lightweight and totally hydrating. I have oily/resilient facial skin so gel moisturizers work better for me year round but especially in colder temps. It was very easy to layer with other products, as well as wear just by itself.

I used this gel for almost 2 weeks and on the last day I broke out with 4 pimples above my right eyebrow. I can’t prove it was from this oat gel moisturizer, though. Prebiotic Oat helps soothe dry skin and nourish our skin’s outer barrier.

Which it’s doing for me. I can feel the difference in just 2 weeks. It left my skin feeling supple and plump. The oats also calmed my red, irritated skin from the cold wintery weather. I’ve never had any problems with Aveeno products in the past so I recommend this one for sure.

For people with all skin types. This formula is fragrance free, paraben free, alcohol free, dye free, phthalate free, non- comedogenic, hypoallergenic, tested on sensitive skin.

I’ve been using this product every morning and evening for the last few days. The packaging is nice, but I wish there was some tamper proofing involved. Either something that you peel back to access the moisturizer or something wrapped around the container.

I just wish there was a sure fire way to know that nobody had been tampering with this moisturizer before I bought it. I’ve also found that every time I open the container, the little tab that is supposed to be covering the cream is stuck inside the lid.

The moisturizer has a nice consistency. I can tell that it has some gel aspects to it. It looks and feels a little bit different than any moisturizers I’ve used in the past. The moisturizer has a cooling effect when applied to the face.

It spreads and applies easily. I’ve been finding that a little goes a long way as well, so this container will probably last me a while. My face feels refreshed and moisturized after using this product.

I also really like that it contains no fragrance, parabens or phthalates. I am really enjoying using this moisturizer and will most likely purchase it in the future.

The first time I use the pore perfecting serum cream, I applied it immediately before going outside to tan because it contains SPF30. My face was extremely slick with grease once I got outside in the heat.

Luckily I was just tanning to get colour and not seeing people or else I would have been very embarrassed with my appearance. I like that it is vegan, has SPF and is a serum/cream combination. Maybe it would be better for the winter because it is too greasy for the hot sunny summer for me, even though it has a light texture.

I am surprised it is for oily/combination skin. There is a slight sunscreen smell and I think the greasiness I felt was also mostly from the sunscreen addition. I guess this would be good if you are going for the dewey look…but it definitely came out as greasy on me.

I received the Garnier Green Labs Pore Perfecting Serum Cream for free from @Topbox in exchange for my honest review. My skin is very dry and I constantly need to use some type of moisturizer. This product is great because it provides 24 hour moisturizer and it has SPF 30 which is fantastic as it performs as a dual effect.

I no longer have to apply a moisturizer and then separately add SPF as this can be applied to your face in just one step. My skin felt hydrated and soft and the scent was pleasant and light. The texture was smooth and silky and not heavy or greasy.

I’ve used this sunscreen for a few months now. It takes a bit to absorb and makes me look a little greasy for a little while and has a bit of a white cast, but eventually evens it out. The only problem I’ve had with it is that it’s been pilling on my face which looks disgusting.

However I do like the convenience of having a 3-in-1 and adding some extra moisture to my face. It’s also one of the only SPF’s I’ve tried that hasn’t caused me to break out. Overall, just kinda decent.

Definitely some pros and cons to consider.

I SWEAR by this moisturizer! I have combination skin; oily forehead and dry sinus area/cheeks. I use their BHA toner, the BHA pores serum by Sephora, and then this moisturizer ontop. My skin has never felt better; lasting moisturizer without the tacky or oily feeling behind.

It’s a gel moisturizer so it absorbs into the skin flawlessly, about 30 mins after initial application, which is amazing if you’re on the rush to work like I am most days! This paired with the products listed previously help disintegrate any rough textures from pimples I’ve popped (I knoowwww, it’s a bag habit of mine!) and helps moisturize blemishes theatre healing with I use my spot treatment (which can be quite drying sometimes -Kate Somer.

I’ve used this product for a long time now and it’s something I always have a few bottles of. I suffer with very very dry skin and not many moisturisers really do the job like aveeno does. I love the lavender scented one alot at night as it gets me feeling calm and relaxed.

This moisturiser goes along way you don’t need to smother it on, from my personal experience if I have done this I notice that the product starts to rub off my skin and ball up. The pump bottle males application so easy and stops any kind of mess.

The moisturiser is thick and creamy but not so much so that it leaves you feeling greasy and weighed down and it easily absorbs into your skin in no time. As I said you don’t need to use alot of product so the price is value for my money.

I would love to see other scents brought out. Fingers crossed. I do feel that this moisturiser ticks all the boxes for me and I think it would be safe enough to use on children.

I really like this lotion. I normally do no like lotion at all, bc I don’t like a greasy feel. Plus I am allergic to most fragrance which this does not have or it does not cause me to break out. I love that it hydrates my skin and leaves it nice and soft, but no greasy wet feel afterwards.

It does not take a lot at all. I normally only use the back of my hands and feet, it dries up quickly and does not leave a greasy or sticky feel. I like that it does not smell. I have tried other Aveeno products but this oatmeal green label one is the only one I like.

I like that if I have dried out hands on the back the next day it is all better meaning it works quickly on my normal skin meaning I don’t have oily skin to begin with. My oily child also uses and she gets dry skin and uses and loves.

You can use and go about your daily task without feeling like you have to go wash your hands. This container for me goes a long way. I do not use daily, I only use when I need, this is my only go to lotion.

I was born with eczema; it’s a moving target for me. I was on a routine with using cerave foaming moisturizing cleanser and gold bonds colloidal oatmeal lotion on my face exclusively. When spring comes I usually get a breakout and my colloidal oatmeal lotion was not cutting it.

Saw an ad for this and gave it a shot the day before a family party. Took my skin from crusty and red to smooth and dewy overnight. It does have a fancy old lady smell, which I can live with. Usually fragrance lights up my eczema but not this.

I bought this because my skin was getting much drier during this transition to winter. I would put this on at night and in the morning my face would feel papery and dry. I would reapply and mid morning my skin was dry and even peeling/sloughing from the dryness.

I was so dry on my chin area around my lips, my forehead, my nose and in front of my ears. My boyfriend convinced me to try his cetaphil face lotion and the dryness and peeling on my face stopped the next day.

This product was quite literally a miracle for my skin and in a matter of days I began to see a DRASTIC difference. Super Hydrating and Moisturizing. That is what this cream is. I have been using it right after I shower and when needed as well and I have seen how my dry, cracked skin, slowly has been getting more hydrated.

This Moisturizer Cream from Cetaphil is super rich, nice and thick yet it absorbs so well into my skin. My skin just drinks it when applied, lol. You would think you would feel really greasy all over for a while when applied but no.

I was having trouble with acne because, as I discovered later, my skin was too dry. I got a professional facial and the esthetician used this moisturizer on me. She gave me a sample to take home and said not to use it more than a couple times a week.

I started using it daily and within about 5-7 days of consistent use, 90% of my acne was gone. I also changed my cleanser to something milder, which helped. I use. 01% Retin A every night and this moisturizer helps a lot with the dryness.

It’s not expensive either. It leaves your skin shiny but that doesn’t bother me. It’s better than acne at 51 any day. I am hooked and so is my partner.

NO LONGER SENSITIVE SKIN SAFE. I’ve used this for a few years now and I USED TO LOVE IT. That’s until recently when I ordered my most new bottle I noticed it had an off smell like the product had gone rancid.

Ulta. com was great and swapped it out but then the next bottle had a similar, milder smell. (I should have checked the labels here. ) I went ahead and started using it because I was totally out of moisturizer at this point even though I swatch compared with my old bottle and my old bottle had no smell to it.

A few days down the road I noticed my skin was starting to look bumpy but kind of wrote it off. Now my face is starting to break out in white heads all over my cheeks and forehead and I am not acne prone.

At this point I compared my labels side by side and see they’ve changed the ingredients and my old bottle says “fragrance free and allergy tested” where the new bottle says no ARTIFICIAL fragrance and “normal” skin.

Super disappointed. Why change a good thing. Creams for normal skin are a dime a dozen plus the smell to this is terrible. Even if I didn’t have sensitive skin it’s a total turn off.

Nontoxic mama here. We use all things nontoxic in our home. so you can imagine how challenging that has been with a new baby suffering from eczema flare ups. any how, I’ve tried everything from earth mama to coconut oil.

some of the things I have tried have kept her moisturized (oily) but nothing ever helped with the terrible itching until now. A few nights ago I watched my baby wake up over and over again from itchy eczema skin.
