Some helpful tips for finding the right mineral makeup for acne-prone skin would be to look for products that are non-comedogenic (meaning they won’t clog pores), oil-free, and light-weight. Additionally, it is often beneficial to seek out mineral makeup that contains ingredients like zinc oxide or titanium dioxide as they can help to control excess oil and sebum production.

I really liked the idea that this was made with more natural ingredients and especially not tested on animals. However, it does not work for me. It is more like a tinted moisturizer – it’s too greasy and sheer.
I should add that my skin is in decent shape and what I am mostly trying to cover is some redness/ruddiness. This doesn’t do it. This might be good for a winter moisturizer when just hanging around the house, but I am going return it.
I will go back to my drugstore standby that costs $15 less until I can find something natural that actually covers.
I’ve been using this product for three years and continue to like it over other foundations and BB creams I’ve tried (even the Mineral Fusion BB-type product). Many foundations and mineral-type makeup are too heavy.
They either cause my skin to look dry, leave a caked on look, go into the creases making them look more pronounced or cause break outs. This product is light, moisturizing (though I also use a light moisturizer under it) and looks better after a few hours than when I first put it on.
It also looks like skin, i. e. doesn’t look like I have any foundation on. The price is also very good as a little goes a long way. (This will likely not be enough coverage for those who want to cover dark under eye circles, scars, freckles, age spots or blemishes.
It will, however, even them out and make them less noticeable. ).
YoungBlood Loose Minerals Foundation Tawnee is a light weight powder formula that gives you buildable coverage and radiance, without out any unwanted shine from shimmer or glitter. It’s uniquely designed to dispense the exact amount of powder for each application.
Create the naturally flawless look you’ve always desired with this ultra-delicate, lavish powder! Directions: Remove the clear sticker from the foundation shaker top. Dispense desired amount into the lid.
Dip the tip of the brush into foundation and tap off the excess. Start on the outside area of the face, and gently buff the powder into skin using circular motions moving inward.
I LOVE the #youngblood Ivory loose foundation powder! I’ve used it for over 2 years and its so kind to my skin. Lately I have moisturized my skin with some coconut oil before applying, and then it blends into my face beautifully.
The redness and acne around my chin is next to unnoticeable. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 star rating is because of the lack in acne coverage. Regardless, its the best I’ve found with ingredients I trust to be blended into my skin.
Attached are two comparisons. Its the same side of my face being emphasized, one image is mirrored.
I work in and out of the kitchen. And this product is amazing as it doesn’t clog my pores or cause outbreaks. It’s buildbable in areas where you need it or where it all over. No fragrance no skin irrations.
A little goes a long way and the product last me for at least 3mths. I would recommend using a setting spray after application to make it last longer. I wear the product up to 12hrs and even with the sweat and heat from the kitchen still looks good.
I thought I loved this. I really enjoyed the transition to powder foundation at first. Upon application it looks good (really good) but it settles into every pore and just looks awful as the day goes on.
I used it for a few months and it just didnt work for me anymore. If you have baby smooth skin Id say give it a try. The product it self has great coverage and feels good on the skin.
A light reflecting, mineral foundation in a special liquid formulation. Provides sheer to medium coverage, plumps and hydrates skin, helps to calm inflammation, diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and evens out skin tone.
Color matches my complexion perfectly (neutral, medium skin with olive undertones= Suntan). It feels nice and light, and very moisturizing. The downside is I find it difficult to blend into my skin– either directly on top of my moisturizer or over the Smooth Affair primer.
I use fingers and brush recommended and still find it a little streaky as well as settling into my pores (not the look I’m after!). I will keep it for when I want a more formal, made up look, as I think with adding a setting powder it would look pretty good.
But, definitely won’t be using for everyday wear. I really want something more subtle and “no make up” looking. Does not irritate my super sensitive skin.
Neutrogena SkinClearing Mineral Acne-Concealing Pressed Powder Compact facial makeup with salicylic acid acne medication helps cover, conceal, treat, clear, and prevent breakouts Oil-absorbing powder contains minerals that help control shine while being gentle on the skin and the oil-free, non-comedogenic formula won’t clog pores The anti-acne face makeup offers coverage to provide a fresh, shine-free look to your face and is ideal for oily and sensitive skincare This pressed powder is suitable for daily use & great to integrate into your regular acne-treatment or facial beauty routine Use this salicylic acid face powder alongside other Neutrogena products such as the SkinClearing Liquid Makeup and SkinClearing Blemish Concealer.
I been using this for a long time. I randomly purchased it and, it’s lasted me forever! It has an acne medication in it, so great for anyone that wants to treat acne and also incorporate in their makeup.
I go over with it after my foundation before contouring. I noticed several people have complained in reviews about the fact that they went away with the applicator. But, that doesn’t bother me because I wouldn’t use the applicator it came with anyways.
Personally, that would be too much bacteria build up for me 🦠. I use a makeup brush to apply it. The color matches my skin tone perfectly. I don’t ever feel like it cakes on either. It’s light which I like.
I hate the feeling of heavy makeup on my face. I love makeup but, hate feeling like I have a thick mask layer on. So this is great for someone who appreciates that lightweight formula as much as me. For an inexpensive product, you really can’t go wrong purchasing this.
I don’t usually use powders because I need more of a full coverage foundation since I have such bad acne. However, most liquid foundations leave my skin looking very shiny I already have pretty oily skin.
So, I decided to give this a try. I chose it because it specifically says “skin cleaning” contains salicylic acid! As soon as O saw that, I was 100% in. When I use this over a simple concealer (concealer to cover the acne spots,) it looks works great on my skin! Definitely makes me wish I tried powder sooner.
One thing I wish was different is that it didn’t come with an applicator. Typically when I purchase something like this at a place like Walmart or grocery store, I expect it to come with everything I need.
Other than that, I absolutely love this product. I haven’t used it long enough to see if it actually clears my skin, but we shall see!.
My holy grail! It is so wonderful! It’s not overpriced, it’s just the greatest. It makes my face feel soft and it never looks patchy. It handles my oily skin and doesn’t cake up at all. It doesn’t budge with my sweating when i use a setting spray.
It’s my FAV. It lasts all day and it makes my whole face look great even when it’s not in it’s best condition to start with! I would absolutely recommend it to everyone! You can find it at many stores or even Amazon!.

First off , I would like to state that I am not the best at reviewing powder foundation because I rarely use it personally. Including this one I only had three pressed powder foundation/ pressed powder for quick touch ups.
I will try my best to review for more types of application and use as a foundation of the lightest coverage. My first impression with the packaging was surprising at the actual compact is very sturdy and stunning in design and weight.
It’s the perfect size for use on the go or at home for an overall minimal coverage foundation. I personally don’t know someone who uses products like this as just a foundation since it barely has any coverage.
My first con for this product was the lack of application puff or sponge included in the compact packaging. Directions indicate that product should be applied with a chisel brush and swirling around the face.
This means that this pressed foundation will not be so convenient for on the go use since you have to bring along your brush or a generic puff for touch ups through the day. I don’t understand why they would overlook this detail especially when comparable products in price such as Urban Decay include a small sponge hidden under the pan of powder.
When I’m out and about and need a quick touch up I will not be one to carry a brush in my purse or a puff but then you still have an extra item to add with this foundation in your purse. For a very light extremely natural makeup look this powder would work best for oily or oily to combo skin.
Dry and normal to dry skin will possibly feel super dry and settling in wrinkles even more than other foundation types. The texture of your skin will also be amplified with the powder foundation just like it settles in wrinkles.
I would suggest to put on my moisturizer at least if not a light primer for the powder to stay in place and make coverage more evenly blended. You don’t want the powder to fly off easily making it pointless imo to even apply.
The sunscreen added is a good idea overall. How well the product coverage is applied, I would still wear my usual sunscreen before this product to be sure of my coverage. My thoughts are the same in regards to the anti aging benefits.
Powder doesn’t absorb the same way as a liquid. Overall I think this is a average powder foundation in performance. Those with more oily skin will get the most beneficial performance as the powder makes the skin more matte.
A good minimal look that will help with shine without the feeling of wearing traditional foundation. All people are unique and that will also factor in making this product a good fit. This powder foundation will be something you like or not since it’s a limited coverage with no maybe or grey area.
I received this product complimentary from #influenster in the #purvoxbox in exchange for an honest review. I absolutely adore the PUR brand! I’ve tried everything from their mascara, liquid foundation, concealer, and I even use the Cloud Cream moisturizer every night! So let’s just say, I’m very familiar with their products, and I’ve never been disappointed.
I wasn’t sure how I’d like the powder foundation, just because I typically teach for liquid any time I’m doing my makeup. But let me tell you, this powder foundation has been a GAME CHANGER for my lazy makeup days.
With a foundation brush, I lay this powder down for a more natural look. Surprisingly, while it does look more natural, it still provides AMAZING coverage for my fair skin on days when I’m struggling with some redness.
The great part is, and why I have dubbed it my lazy day foundation, is I can literally skip two steps of my normal makeup routine since I don’t really have to prime, and this doesn’t require setting powder since it goes on dry.
I never thought I’d be swayed by a powder foundation over my beloved liquid foundation, yet here we are. I also love this powder to touch up on any day that I’m wearing makeup, as it’s compact, and easy to carry with me wherever I go.
I’ve found that PUR has a great shade range, as well, so no matter what your shade is, you’ll easily find a match. I truly enjoyed this product, and I stand behind the PUR brand as a whole.
Inspired by the iconic bareMinerals loose mineral foundation, bareMinerals ORIGINAL Liquid Mineral Foundation SPF 20 is a clean, vegan foundation shown to visibly improve skin’s texture and reduce the look of pores both instantly and over time.
The next-generation formula, made with 88percent naturally derived ingredients, features a Healthy Mineral Complex to refine skin, Olive-Derived Squalane to nourish and hydrate and Peptide and Prickly Pear Extract to reduce the look of pores and redness.
All bareMinerals products are 100percent cruelty-free and free of parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, chemical sunscreens, triclosan, triclocarban, propylene glycol, mineral oil, coal tar and microbeads.
This product is also vegan and formulated without gluten, talc, synthetic fragrance or silicone. Plus, it is dermatologist-tested, ophthalmologist-tested, non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic. How to use: Shake the bottle well before applying.
Dispense two pumps onto the back of your hand for medium coverage. DOT to distribute with your fingertips onto your cheeks, forehead and chin, or anywhere you’d like coverage. SWEEP with your fingertips to smooth using small, outward strokes.
PRESS to perfect and blend. For foundation brush users, after you DOT, SWEEP with the brush to smooth using small, outward strokes. Then PRESS with your fingertips to perfect. Repeat to build coverage.
I got shade: Fairly Light 03. This foundation took me a while to form an opinion on, getting the application right and seeing how it affected my skin. First of all, I like the packaging. Always appreciate pump packaging.
But it comes out very thin and liquidy. Shaking the bottle is very important, if you don’t the foundation can come out looking a little extra watery/separated. Giving it a good shake always prevents any separation and my understanding of it is that it mixes the heavier sun screen particles back into the foundation.
It doesn’t offer very full coverage, and if you build up too much, it can appear cakey. Especially in dry spots or creases on your face, I noticed this on my chin and around my nose later in the day, when I had put too much on and didn’t blend it out well enough.
Priming helps with this. I did notice some settling into lines in the afternoon. Using a damp sponge with application helps prevent settling and dry spots, sponge application for this foundation gave me the best results over finger or brush application, though finger application is recommended by the directions.
This would be better for oilier skin folks, rather than dry skin, and probably better in more humid months. It has more of a matte finish if you build up for more coverage. I have combo skin, usually on the oilier side but I live in a desert and it’s winter time so I had to add extra moisturizer/primer on the drier areas of my face to keep it looking fresh/smooth throughout the day.
I used one to two pumps of this bareMinerals product gave me a really nice luminous look, but I still needed concealer to help with some dark spots. This also works well for just a bit of coverage on a light/natural makeup look kind of day.
3 stars because my skin did look nice and a bit glowy with just one to two pumps. But I would have liked a bit more coverage without the cake and it took a while to get the hang of applying this for good results.
Definitely best for lighter coverage on dewier skin. And I appreciate the bonus SPF, no one should be using foundation for their sole SPF protection but it’s very nice on top of a dewier SPF. This does cancel out redness very well and I naturally have quite large pores, but this foundation did a good job at not accentuating them and over the few weeks I used it, I believe it did help the overall appearance of my skin.
It did not leave my pores clogged which is fantastic. Wearing this compared to other foundations kind of felt like going makeup free, in the effect it had on my skin, it felt healthier and not suffocating.
I tried this foundation out for a (small, socially distanced) gathering with friends this weekend and I do really like it! I mixed it with a bit of tinted moisturizer and primer and it blended really well with a beautyblender.
It applied about medium coverage and could be built up to more full coverage. I did need a little concealer under my eyes to cover dark circles, but I’m not totally surprised as this is not billed as a full coverage foundation.
I set this with Laura Mercier powder and applied the rest of my makeup. I wore it for 8-10 hours total and by the time I took it off, it was still in really great shape on most of my face. The only problem areas were my undereyes and my nose.
My undereyes were noticeably creased, but I can’t blame that entirely on the foundation as I used concealer too. I wore a mask to the gathering and I was blowing my nose a lot due to allergies, and the foundation was mostly rubbed off my nose by the end of the night BUT it did so in a way that didn’t look awkward or obvious, it just kind of faded from no foundation to foundation which was nice.
I would definitely use this again but I’m not sure I’d repurchase it. The coverage was nice and the wear time was very good. The color match is almost perfect which was impressive, it’s just a bit lighter in color than I’d typically use.
I don’t love that this rubbed off my nose so much and I do think the mineral texture made this a little drier and cakier than I’m really comfortable with. If you can zoom in on the picture, you’ll see lots of visible pores around my cheeks and nose and cakiness around my forehead and chin.
I’ll continue to cocktail this with my other favorites to finish off the bottle, but I already have other foundation favorites that I prefer to this one.
Claims: Improves skin texture – I dont know if I would necessarily say it improves texture but it doesn’t emphasize or cause my skin to look more texture than it is. Reduce look of pores – I actually think this is pretty accurate.
I didnt find that my skin looked like I had visible pores, TAKE THAT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT I tend to only have noticble pores around my nose and on my nose. And my pores are not pronounced. Reduce visible redness – I would expect that of literally any foundation.
I think this claim is kind of a no duh kind of statement. I wouldn’t expect a foundation to NOT reduce visible redness, so I dont get the idea that this is revolutionary. Application: They recommend finger application, which i tend to hate but only because I don’t like using my fingers to apply any product.
If using a brush make sure your brush is clean and go over with tapping motions or you will see streaks. My preferred method is the sponge, the coverage goes down, but the finish is honestly incomparable.
Coverage: Medium coverage (dosagree) I think this is a more light coverage foundation at best, especially if you use a sponge (which honestly looks the best on the skin). Its buildable though and you can mix this with other foundations to get a fuller coverage.
WHAT THEY DONT TELL YOU This foundation plays EXTREMELY well with others, meaning, I had no issue cocktailing and mixing foundations and other products to make this an even more enjoyable experience for myself.
I actually find myself TL;DR: I really enjoy this, I think my skin has been looking absolutely amazing while wearing this product.

Reviews From Real Customers
I recently started using this foundation and I am so glad I did! I have mild to moderate rosacea that flares whenever I use any kind of sunscreen. I decided to try this foundation because it contains sunscreen to see if it would make my skin react.
To my surprise, it didn’t! It also does a really good job of covering up the redness. If I use a concealer underneath my skin is virtually flawless. It’s also amazing at blurring my fine lines. I do have really oily skin so I have to touch up mid-day if it’s warm, but that is on par with any foundation I use.
Other than breakthrough shine, it lasts me all day long. I LOVE THIS STUFF!!! And the color is perfect too. I love how it doesn’t look cakey or fake – it has a very natural look and feel. So happy I found this foundation! Tip – make sure you prep your skin well! Even though I have oily skin I still use a good moisturizer and serum to help the foundation meld with my skin for a flawless finish.
I tried the original foundation in the late 2000s when I was a teenager, and it was a nice foundation. Now, I’m 28 and while my skin is still relatively healthy, I have more enlarged pores, a few fine lines and my t-zone gets very oily.
The Ulta associate recommended I try this, but I don’t think she understood the issues I have with my skin. This foundation will suck out ANY hydration whatsoever. Even with my go-to moisturizer underneath, it still didn’t work.
It accentuates the lines in my forehead, sits on top of my pores while making them stand out even more, and breaks up around my chin and nose. I’ve tried everything-using less powder and a lighter hand, taking more time to buff it in, trying various primers, etc.
It looks awful every time. The only good thing is that my face didn’t feel like an oil slick. I don’t think I’ll even bother with trying the original version. I’m disappointed, because I told the ulta associate that I want a foundation that’s not cakey and blends well.
This stuff is so cool! I was worried that it would dry my skin out (I have combination skin…very dry in the cheeks, but oily T-zone, plus hormonal acne that I’m treating with dermatologist), but it doesn’t dry me out AT ALL! I just wish I had tried it sooner!! My dermatologist recommends Bare Minerals if wearing makeup at all, so 2 years ago I tried the regular loose powder.
With that, I tried so many different things to try to keep the shine down (primers, switched sunscreens, switched moisturizers, Laura Mercier powder on TOP of the Bare Minerals powder)…nothing worked.
So I finally gave in and bought this matte version, and LO AND BEHOLD, it is perfect for me! Fixed the shine/oiliness, but also doesn’t dry me out. (I do wear moisturizer and sunscreen underneath. ) It’s magic!.
Matte SPF 15 Foundation minimizes the appearance of pores and gives you all the flawless coverage you want with a natural matte finish and no-makeup look and feel that lasts up to eight hours. The lightweight minerals absorb excess oil without drying out your skin.
Let me just start by saying that I’ve always heard great things about bareMineral products but never really bought into the hype. However, after using this product for 2 months and seeing the difference in my skin I am in full-on hype mode! Not only does this foundation powder cover and wear well it has most definitely improved the overall appearance of my skin.
My complexion is more even, brighter, and more free of breakouts. I wouldn’t have believed that a makeup product could actually improve my bare skin until I saw it for myself but take my word for it.
This stuff works! I have been using “mineral” powder foundation for 10 years but after discovering how many toxic chemicals where in those cheap, drug store products I threw out my entire makeup and skincare collection and started all over and that’s when I found bareMinerals.
I love that their products are more naturally made. That’s important to me! I have ordered several more products and will leave reviews on those as soon as I’ve had some time to use them on the daily.

A. B. Directions for use: Pump the foundation onto the back of your hand. Dip in the tip of your foundation brush. Start at the centre of your face and apply with even strokes.
This is one of the best concealers I’ve ever used. The consistency is just right to use with my beauty blender. I’ve also used a brush for application. Even if you use your finger, it will work. Doesn’t settle into creases like some others tend to do.

There is nothing I dont love about this powder. Its amazing, color ia perfect the texture is light and it feels like i am wearing nothing, very natural look evens skin tone. Never clogs my pores. Love the compact too its very high quality.
The only thing that could make this foundation better is if it had and SPF rating. I will being buying more.
I have both the loose and the baked formula in various colours. The baked is great for on the go and touch ups and also when youre in a hurry and want something quick, easy and effective. The coverage is light but buildable and feels like nothing on the skin.
It is long lasting on the skin and you get no tide marks around the jaw area. This is one that I’d like in various colours to match the skin tone changes during different seasons. Fantastic product!.
Coverage is very light, you need to use many layers in order to achieve effect. Even then I think the Inika loose powder has better coverage. So I think it you have a lot to cover, do realise that this is light coverage.
Better for those with young skin and/or little imperfections. The powder itself feels silly smooth.

It used to be my favourite complexion product, used it for around 2 years. Literally told all my girls about it. I used shade nurture, so beautiful on skin, gives glowy complexion. Thats in the past.
Unfortunately, since packaging changed it feels like totally different product. It is not glowy as it used to be, feels drying, heavy on the face. The other one used to last me all day without feeling heavy.
This one I wear few hours and just cannot wait to wash it off. It really sad, will have to search for another brand now, ohh.
A revolutionary pressed mineral powder, Trish’s Mineral Powder SPF 15 combines the power of powder, buildable coverage and sun protection all-in-one. Its natural ingredients care for your skin and are ideal for even the most sensitive skin types as the silky, weightless formula soothes skin and effectively neutralizes redness.
I can’t say enough great things about the Even Skin MIneral Powder Foundation. It is the MOST natural looking powder foundation ever. Provides flawless coverage that requires no touch up. I alternate shades as I’m tan in the summer so the shade light is the perfect color.
I have used this foundation for 16 yrs and couldn’t live without it either. I’ve tried every mineral foundation out there and none stand up to Trish’s natural finish formula!.
I love Trish products and have been using them for 15? Years but as a loyal customer I am really done with the sizes drastically going down and prices going up. The powder foundation is half the size of the one I am replacing.
This happened with the shadows a few years ago. No way to treat loyal customers.
I have been using the Instant Eyelift for years now and I love this this stuff! I have dark circles under my eyes and at 59 years young laugh lines. Not only does the Instant Eye Lift make my dark circles go away it glides on my laugh lines without making it look like I have make up packed into my wrinkles!! You can not even tell I have it on! Thank you, Trish!!.
Helps create a natural-looking finish with Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Loose Powder Foundation. This loose powder helps even and enhance skin clarity, tone, and texture while reducing the appearance of redness.
Lightweight and breathable, the powder is safe for sensitive skin. A brush applicator is included.
I purchased this a while back mistaking it for just a loose powder. I didn’t realize it was a powder foundation. Thats on me. I continued to use it anyway because I already spent the money. I noticed my clear skin developing deep acne on my cheeks, jawline, and chin, as well as my temples.
Stopped using it for a while and started to clear up. Tried it again and the acne came right back. Its definitely this product. It looks pretty on the skin. If you don’t react to to it may be perfectly loveable for you.
But there is something in this that my skin reacts to every time.
Glad I bought this at the store and got buy one get one half off of natural beige Number 60. I see on the website they are discontinuing the entire makeup line I guess they are going to only focus on skincare and body products it’s disappointing because this is the only mineral makeup that doesn’t clog my pores or make my face itch and turn red.
I guess it’s on to another brand but I will guarantee that the company will loose profits $ I just do not understand how it reads ‘ improved Formula ‘ on the label in pink. ? Why would you improve on a product that you are going to give the axe to anyway ? Doesn’t make sense to me.
I first tried this from a Sephora sample and loved it. Thought it was the most beautiful, longest lasting skin tint that I have tried thus far. I purchased a full size from Milk and immediately hated the application.
I’d rather this come in a packet. It just gets goopy and you waste product wiping the roller ball off and I feel like it’s uneven. I get what they were going for, and I’m sure there are some people out there who love the rollerball style but it ruins the product for me personally.
It’s such a great skin tint, light to medium coverage, lasts a long time and looks so skin like, has a slight but pleasant smell so it’s just such a bummer that it comes in this applicator. If they took it out of that and made it a tad cheaper it would 1000% be worth it.
As much as I love it, I don’t think I will repurchase unless I can figure out a different way to get the product out of the tube. PS I find the best way to apply is to roll it all over and blend out with a sponge, my brushes caused too much patchiness and took away coverage.
A dry sponge, surprisingly, seemed to add coverage. I would recommend only if you think you could deal with the roller ball application! If not, go for a different skin tint!.
This foundation is extremely heavy texturewise and felt like it stayed sticky and sitting on top my skin for a very long time. It might work great for people who have extremely dry skin, but I felt like it was way too much for me, even though I’m dealing with some dryness from winter.
In summer this would definitely break me out. It felt like it was hard to blend it in and it never absorbed, and I could still feel it on my face after 30 minutes. It stayed tacky for the rest of the afternoon and I eventually took it off because of how uncomfortable it was.
(I don’t tend to be bothered by stuff like this usually). It smells strongly of sunscreen even after it had been a couple hours. I didn’t love it. I think the sunblock component is on the cheap side and responsible for the thick/sticky texture.
It’s disappointing because I’ve used other cheaper foundations with higher SPF that don’t have the greasy texture and strong smell this one does. The shade range is also really weird. I’m usually able to find a foundation that matches my skin tone in Milk products, but it seems like there are really big gaps between each shade for this product.
I’m slightly cool toned and fair skinned, but the “Fair” shade was WAY too pink and pale for me. The next cool toned shade was too dark and also too pink. I ended up going with the neutral shade in between the two, which was a decent match but still a bit warm toned, especially after it oxidizes.
I can fix the issue with a cool toned powder, but you shouldn’t have to for how much this costs. I love Milk but this product needs some work. I don’t recommend it. I’ll stick with my other Milk foundation.
If I could only own one foundation, this would be it. Light to medium coverage in a hydrating formula with a dewy finish over moisturizer on my dry skin. My favorite foundation for all seasons, it always makes my skin look more even and lively.
Looks amazing with Milk’s Flex Concealer in Fair. Unique in that it feels *actively good* on my skin, never heavy, but nourishing and soothing! If I were making a recommendation to a friend who ‘hates the feel of makeup,’ this is what I would suggest.
Although I don’t love the roller ball applicator for the sake of efficiency of getting product on my face (it takes a few pumps), I like the cooling element of it AND most of all, love that it allows for a preservative free formula, which is extraordinarily unusual and made safe against contamination by the syringe-like packaging.
I will repurchase soon and look forward to using the foundation refill, which saves plastic waste and costs $10 less than replacing the whole product. The only downside to the skin tint for me is the 0.
5oz amount of foundation provided, although I expect this also allows for use during the hygienic life of the preservative-free formulation. If you prefer fuller coverage, I would try Milk’s Flex Foundation Stick (which lives in my purse for emergencies and is great for travel).
The Flex Stick has many of the same benefits of a lovely, dewy finish as the skin tint, especially ~1h after application and for the duration of a ~10h wear. For my combination skin, Milk’s Blur Liquid Matte Foundation and Setting Powder are too drying for me to use regularly.
Note also that the Milk Hydro Grip primer may separate when combined with this foundation. I purchased this product myself from Sephora and have used the product for 6 months. Good lasting power for a tinted moisturizer at about 6h wear before touchup, which can be extended with something like Make Up For Ever’s powder foundation (I use shade R220) or setting spray.
I’ve noticed that even on it’s own, this skin tint looks better and better on my skin over the first ~3h of wear. I like that this includes a non-nano zinc sunscreen, as I find that mineral sunscreens tend to last through the day better than chemical ones.
There are chemical sunscreens in this– although I’ve experienced breakouts from other chemical sunscreens, daily use over 6 months has not irritated my skin. There are no silicones, which also prevents breakouts on my sensitive skin type.

This is basically the best powder foundation in the market. Funny enough doesn’t even feel too powdery on the face, actually opposite – quite emollient, does not set in the fine lines, does not accentuate pores nor any texture, but gives this perfect air-brushed luminous canvas.
By no means it’s not glittery in any way, just this smooth, satiny, silky, luminous goodness. Coverage is light to medium, but can be built up without being cakey. Works perfectly well with powder or cream products underneath or on top.
Brilliant ingredients, hence very pleasant on the skin, super lightweight, no irritation whatsoever. The only huge downside is the choice of shades, which are only 3 and they cater only for the fair to light skin tones (I have light yellow shade (nr2), so there is basically zero inclusivity, which should not be acceptable in the beauty industry and I feel guilty giving 5 stars, however in this case I give review from my perspective and as far as light skin tones go, it is perfection.
Antipodes – wake up and address your diversity issues!!!.
I hadn’t worn makeup for a while then I used some liquid foundation and it felt heavy and uncomfortable. I wanted something that gave a light coverage and improved my skintone with looking like I was plastered in makeup.
It took a bit of practice to apply, you definitely need the correct type of brush. The effect is very natural, just what I wanted. The spf is a real plus as well.
I usually wear a light weight luxury foundation and concealer set with powder to get me through the work day and rush hour commutes on the tube. I’d been wanting to try something natural that was mineral based and easy to touch up (if I ever found the time during a busy day, which is usually a no).
Having loved (I don’t use that word lightly) other products from this range (Divine oil / Manuka Honey Mask) I decided to give this product a try, mostly because they offered ‘Light yellow’. Straight after application I studied my skin in different lights (as we do), and had zero expectations, (many products underwhelm me), I immediately noticed the glow.
Yes, I had a glow and I hadn’t even used a highlighter. My pores were minimised (winning) it was a better colour match than my foundation or tinted moisturiser (i’ve had both color matched numerous time).
My skin looked great. It looked healthy, smooth and happy, no dry patches (which I am prone to getting). I do put a light dusting of powder in the T-zone because I have a lengthy commute on the tube/train – Today was 21 degrees, I had a 2 hr commute to the office and I haven’t had to touch up once.
On days where I want more coverage I add a little more with concealer when necessary, otherwise just a light buff all over. This is my go-to product.
Some minerals that are often recommended for acne-prone skin include zinc, sulfur, and copper. These minerals can help to regulate oil production, reduce inflammation, and kill bacteria, all of which can help to reduce the appearance of acne.
