Best Minecraft Shaders For Xbox Series X (2024 Updated)

I am not the one who can give an honest review, but my children can. They love everything Minecraft. They are obsessed with this game and take it very seriously. As a parent, I have to say I approve.

My children have learned a lot. It forced my youngest to read because she had to read the words on the screen to get her supplies together. So her reading skills grew drastically from there. My oldest son uses math skills while playing and is in the 5th grade and they are putting him in a 6th grade math class.

I hate playing that game with a passion, but it really benefits kids! It is costing me money though!.

In 2021 this version probably isnt worth it if you want it as your main version of Minecraft, but its interesting to have in your collection if you get a good deal. This version came out before the Better Together update was released and is not supported anymore for updates.

The controls are better than I thought though, and its still fun even if its limited by the graphical and technical capabilities of the N3ds. If you want the latest version of Minecraft though, I would definitely get it on mobile if you are looking for an accessibility way to play.

About the game itself, the draw distance is very low which can make it feel a little claustrophobic and makes it difficult to see over a distance. Also there are no infinite worlds. The amount of mobs you can spawn at a time is also limited.

Its still a fun way to play if you want to play an older and unique version of Minecraft, so I rate it 4 stars. You can find a more detailed review if you look this version up online.

I had a good experience buying this game! The case was without dents, scratching, etc, and the game card was good as new! The customer service was also kind and helpful. The game however does has its downsides: – The controls on the switch do take a while to get used to ( as they are more simple on pc), but once you do, it’s a nice experience if you have Nintendo Switch Online! ( you cannot go into servers unless you have the subscription).

My younger sibling took a day or two to enjoy the gameplay with no trouble with the controls ( before this game she had no prior knowledge of the controls) – You cannot upload skins or make your own; you have several options from the Mario Bros skins that they offer.

If you do plan to use them in other servers, the skin will not be visible to other players but yourself. ( Meaning that they will see the default skin) This does state on the game itself, but it’s easy to miss this fact.

Overall, the graphics are nice and the gameplay is smooth except for the small things I have mentioned above!.

Pros: -This PC version of the game doesn’t require you to have the disc inserted in order to play it, only needed to download the files from said disc. -Game requires no launcher to play, just click the executable and you’re in.

Cons: -Since the Telltale servers went down, you’ll only have access to EP1, the 4 others will say “Purchased, not installed” and you won’t be able to download the rest legitimately. -The “Choices” tab in “Extras” won’t ever unlock, also as a result of the servers being down.

Nice game from playstation. My son is a minecraft fun and he can hours enjoy playing minecraft on the playstation 4, sometimes with his friends. Nice when is bad weather outside.

The game was inside the wrap that it gets in the places that make it and the game did not disappoint. It was just like the first game and nothing was wrong. It worked perfectly and I would buy again.

If you have played RollerCoaster Tycoon, or games similar to it (theme park management sims, park builder games, other “tycoon” games, etc. ), then you pretty much know what to expect here. This is pretty much just an updated version of RollerCoaster Tycoon.

You build, manage and maintain a theme park, build rides, try to get as much money, guests and star rating to your park as possible. There are three different game modes. Career, Sandbox and Challenge.

Sandbox is where you are free to do whatever you want! Build a park however you like, build craziest rollercoasters you can think of, etc. All with unlimited time and money. If you are looking for something similar, but want the challenge of building your own park with limited money available, than the Challenge game mode is for you.

Challenge mode gives you objectives to complete, but you can completely ignore these, if you wish to just focus on building a park and seeing how well you can do with it financially. Then, finally, there is Career mode.

Career mode throws you into a pre-made park (some parks slightly made, some pretty well developed), and then give you objectives to complete. The great thing about this, is you can either choose to ignore these objectives, kind of like Challenge mode, and just play how you wish.

Or you can choose to stay in that park and keep playing in it to your heart’s desire, even after you complete all the objectives. The objectives do not have time limit constraints, at least none that I’ve seen so far.

However, I have not finished the career mode yet, so they might give you time limits in the harder career missions. Basically, your goal in any mode, is to build a successful theme park. That means making profit, making customers happy, and having a fun and pretty park.

You can hire staff, like janitors, security guards, entertainers and extra vendors for stalls. You also got to make sure to keep your staff happy, or else they might not work effectively or maybe even quit.

You can also build custom made rollercoasters. Build any coaster that comes to mind! Just try to make sure it’s exciting and not too scary or nauseating, so people will actually want to ride it. All this sounds pretty overwhelming at first, but you get the hang of it all pretty quick.

Especially if you played other games like it. The game is pretty laid back about most of this stuff, so you are not rushing to keep everything together at once. Trust me, for the most part, this is a good game to just sit back and relax to.

Some of the challenges in challenge mode can be pretty difficult to pull off, but even if you fail them, it doesn’t kick you out of the park. Like I said, you can keep playing however you want for as long as you want.

The controls do take a little getting used to at first. But they aren’t all that bad. If you feel like you are spending too much time building a coaster, while your park is suffering with other problems, you can always pause the in-game time while you build that coaster or those pathways to your rides and stalls.

It also looks like, from the settings menus, that you can also play this game with a keyboard and mouse, even on PS5. However, I have not tried that out yet, so I can not speak on how well it works. There are also some neat little features in the game, like having a camera to where you can ride on your rides (even your custom built rollercoasters!) in first-person view.

You can also choose a random guest in your park and watch a camera of their view of your park in first-person as well, as they travel around your park visiting stalls and riding rides. I thought this was pretty cool! When it comes to the graphics, they aren’t anything too crazy, especially for a PlayStation 5 game.

But they are actually more impressive than I thought they were going to be. The game also runs very smooth on the PlayStation 5. I haven’t noticed any significant frame rate drops, or anything like that.

Saving and loading are extremely fast, as well. Overall, I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys these types of games. If you’ve never tried a game of this type before, but are interested in it, I say go ahead and give this one a try.

My only advice to newcomers is to do the tutorial and the “Beginner” Career mode missions. They really help you get a feel for the game and show you some of the other tools at your disposal; like loans, priority guest passes, researching new rides, etc.

RollerCoaster Tycoon is one of my favorite theme park building games ever, and I feel this one tops it in pretty much every aspect. The only thing I miss from RCT, that I have not seen yet in this game, is weather effects, like rain.

I play Planet Coaster and Parkitect. Both great games and you should try both of them. Personally, Planet Coaster beats Parkitect by A LOT. The graphics, the challenge, (it is hard because you have to keep staff and guests happy and have to care fr your park.

It is so fun. I started Parkitect, played for a few days, then I got Planet Coaster and could NOT stop playing. Every day after school I run to my PC and open Planet Coaster. I play for like 2 hours and just build, go on rides, and work on keeping my park an enjoyable experience for the guests.

I love how the guests have happiness, hunger, thirst, tiredness, and need for the bathroom ratings, and have a taste for different rides, so you have to cater to many different ride preferences from really calm to crazy thrill-seekers.

Also how the staff can get really tired or really grumpy, and they can quit at any moment. It adds a nice challenge to it, makes it so much better. if it was possible, I’d give Planet Coaster a 10-star rating.

I play on low graphics yet the graphics are still amazing. I love how you can go on the rides you build. All of the different scenery, buildings, shops, and ride options make the game so much more enjoyable because you can let your imagination soar to new heights, I like how you have a variety of game-modes (Sandbox, Challenge, Campaign) and DLC packages that you can buy off of Steam to get many more options for scenery and rides, and buildings, etc.

Also, it is amazing that you are able to design an avatar that you want, instead of choosing between premade avatars or not getting one at all. There are so many more amazing things about Planet Coaster, but I feel like I have said enough in one review.

Awesome game. As a child I grew up playing all of the Roller coaster Tycoon games and this one is just as great. Be prepared to waste tons of time cause once you get rolling, hours will pass before you know it.

I have about 20hrs in it so far after owning it for under a week. I also own the PC version previously and the Console version did a great port with the controls. Once you get the hang of things, I would say it is even easier to play on the console vs the mouse and keyboard.

The only issue I have had so far is that when your park reaches 3000 guests, things get a little wonky and the people start getting stuck in random spaces as if the path is not there. The only way I have been able to resolve this was to save the game and re load it.

Hopefully there is a fix for that soon. Other than that, I 100% Highly recommend this game.

The Aleratec Model 240131 (not the one pictured) destroys DVDs with swirl marks. The cleaning pad has a hard center which acts like a wick, soaking up the cleaning solution. This “wick” tends to scratch the surface of Tayo Yuden Watershield DVDs.

It doesn’t seem to harm Blu-Rays for some reason. Also, the solution that you put into the cleaning reservoir (supposed to fill it to about 80%) doesn’t last long – it evaporates quickly.

Picture quality is poor. Game is very basic and I wouldn’t recommend.

The best sequels are based on the idea of taking what was loved and improve/expand upon it. In that respect Subnautica Below Zero has achived that. Expanded gameplay features, expanded danger, clearer tutorials making it more friendly for first time players.

Playin the first one is not required to play this one but as always it would help jump start your experience to be familiar with the mechanics. The story is fun and you can choose your level of challenge to have a true survival experience or just have fun building.

The environment is massive feeling and is full or fun to explore. just don’t get eaten.

The itself game is amazing but maybe get it on the computer. It is fun, unique, engaging, and exciting. However, both games crash frequently and without any warning signs. There is no autosave system.

It seems worst when returning to your base. This means you leave your base for a hour to two to explore a new area and collect supplies and then all of your progress is suddenly wiped on your way back.

It also crashed while walking into room where the climax occurs of the first game. It also crashed just after finding after resurfacing from finding an item in the 2nd game I was looking for. I’ve been unable to find that item ever again despite looking for over an hour.

Despite notifications by the developer about updates and improvements to prevent this. Every time you start it up after a crash it pops up with a “hey give us feedback” message. This feedback system doesn’t work and I get an error message.

The game is good enough I keep playing it. but buying it on the switch means you pay a premium over purchasing it on steam. Don’t pay a premium for a glitchier product.

First off, if you have thalassophobia (fear of the ocean), you’re in for a lot of nightmares. The whole premise of Subnautica is that your spaceship has crash landed on an alien planet. We’ve all been there basically except this planet has a massive ocean that you landed in.

Do you know what’s in an ocean!? There’s a lot of different alien species in this particular ocean with some being useful for resources and others being absolute nightmares. Your goal is to survive during this.

The game can be taken at your own pace and is very fun especially seeing what environments are around this ocean. Also included is Subnautica – Below Zero which is a sequel of sorts. Very good from what I’ve played, but I’ll admit I’ve played more of Subnautica itself.

Definitely worth a pickup!.

Minecraft Dungeons was a fun game that I enjoyed playing. Although I admire the charm it has and the time and attention they put into creating, there are certain things I would like to have modified or changed with this game.

The first is that the nine levels are far too short. Only spending 30 minutes on a task instead of a couple of hours isn’t the best deal for a $20 game, and if you have a fully equipped build like I have, you can finish an objective in half the time.

Furthermore, this game requires more diversity and depth. Each level, as well as each level’s sub-levels, include more puzzles to solve.

I love minecraft dungeons. Its my all time favorite game. Some levels are a little challenging on apocalypse mode but overall its so much fun to play. I love searching for the secrets and the chests.

The new tower is a little hard but still fun overall. I love the unique items you can collect and now gift to friends. I have to say if you’ve never played this before I insist that you try it. I might be an adult but this game is awesome.

This game is just poorly mediocre. Definitely not a “real” Minecraft game- there is no building or personal creativity and freedom in this game. It’s just an overhead adventure game based on “quests” and “missions”.

The concept for the game is ok, but the lack of creative freedom Minecraft is known for is what brings it down. So glad I didn’t pay the extra $10 for the bonus content version as this game isn’t really worth the $19.

99 plus tax that I paid for it. I shouldn’t have expected this game to be much after the Minecraft Story Mode flop. Thank God, I still have the real, original Minecraft to fall back on as well as Terraria and Starbound.

For my 7 going on 8 son’s birthday. He thought well, can you get me the pc version instead? I’m like what? I usually buy kids toys for me and they just benefit. I thought ok. We did try this xbox version and (great for me, it’s not split screen I’m old) they loved it.

He plays with his younger brother who is going to be 6 also this month. Well it gets worse. The next few days The oldest didn’t want to play and the youngest wants to play with him on roblox and I got stuck trying to level up myself.

I like the game I don’t really have much time to play and it’s easy to level up.

I had money stolen from me, somebody used my card number hooked it up to their Xbox account and bought over $600 worth of Xbox live, Xbox games and Xbox gold premium whatever the hell that is. I called Microsoft spoke to a couple of people even spoke to a manager, they confirmed that my card number was on a profile with Xbox I explain to them that I don’t have a profile with Xbox I don’t even own an Xbox and I’ve never owned an Xbox, they informed me that they could not remove my card my debit card from my bank account from this random persons account because I didn’t have this random person‘s email address or this random person‘s phone number.

So therefore I couldn’t access their account even though they are using my money, and my card to buy stuff on their account. I think this is extremely unprofessional, encourages fraud behavior, encourages theft behavior because all this does is protect the thief, and does nothing to the person that has been stolen from.

I am $600 out of pocket, I do not have a lot of money and that is more than half of my rent I will be facing eviction in a few days if I can’t get this money backMicrosoft and Xbox both just tell me there’s nothing they can do since I am not the account holder even though the account holder is using my card on their account without permission without consent and is blatantly stealing hundreds of dollarsI don’t understand why they can’t just remove my card from the persons account, or maybe flag the persons account To prevent them from making further transactionsI think that it’s extremely unprofessional, that there’s absolutely nothing they can do even though I can provide the full card number the Security code the address and the name But they can’t just remove my card I had to completely disable my card , and then actually completely change checking accounts , because it keeps approving pending transactions from two days ago so now my bank account went from spending five hundred dollars to negative three hundred dollars so all in all this person is spent over eight hundred dollars on Xbox live and Microsoft has dont legit nothing to help me in order to get my money that was legitimately stolen from my account.

This console is what they say it is and more! The graphics on this console from games that are optimized or made for the Series X is above par and well worth its weight in Gold! The speed of it is like they bottled of The Flash and put him to work inside! The lock isn’t as sleek as the PS5’s air purifier look but with a good Skin it turns out to be an awesome addition to my entertainment center.

Here is the breakdown! Graphics: If you are moving from the original xbox or xbox one to the series x you will notice a huge difference in graphics even on a TV that isn’t built for 4K viewing. If you are moving from the One X to the Series X you will notice some changes only to the games that are built or Optimized for the Series X but all games feel better with the speed you gain.

Overall the Series X is on par to compete with most gaming PC’s that are currently out there and once developers start taking advantage of everything the Series X has to offer I will be surprise if it doesn’t beats some gaming PC’s on the market today.

Right now I give the graphics 4. 8 out of 5 stars but will probably be 5 stars within a year. ‘ Speed: Only gaming PC’s that have the new PCI4. 0 SSD’s are as fast loading as the Series X with its games.

To have a game load within 15 seconds that normally would take 60s or more on other gen xbox’s is beautiful!! And that isn’t even talking about the games that support the awesome “quick resume” feature.

This feature is something that you don’t know you wanted till you start using it!! The quick resume alone is a selling point for Microsoft and their Series X/S consoles. Speed is beautiful in a world that is always moving.

I would give the speed a 5 out of 5 star!! If they can learn to make the loading times even faster then boy are we in for some great experiences in the future! Games: This is where, as of now, I have to say I wish there was more to offer! Game Pass alone is awesome for those who are new to xbox.

They will have 100’s of games available the day they turn on their console that they could experience for the 1st time and that is by far better than any gaming console on the market today. However, if you are looking for exclusive games that are new look great and feels great then there currently isn’t much being offered by Microsoft.

With their dozens of gaming studios they purchased over the past 5 or so years lets hope that is about to change and come E3 2021 we finally get a list of games that will make anyone want to go out and buy a Series X!!.

From someone who was originally planning on getting the ps5 I missed out and instead settled on the Xbox series x. I planned on getting this eventually but not until later in the year however this console is a great system for both new and existing Xbox fans.

First thing first the setup is quick and easy all of your games you purchased from the Xbox one era are available to download and play on your new console right after the setup. I was surprised to see all my games I bought from the Xbox one show up immediately after I set up my condo.

For those uninformed the series x can play a limited amount of games from the original Xbox from 2001 and Xbox 360 it can also play every single Xbox one game as well it also loads every game at a faster rate so you’ll be spending less time in a loading screen and more time gaming.

The quick resume feature is amazing and by far my favorite feature of the console. It lets you switch between up to 5 games at a time without going through in game menus. For example you could be playing Halo 5 and decide you want to play GTA 4 (an Xbox 360 game) you’ll switch to gta 4 and if you decide to return to halo 5 you’ll continue right from where you left off.

The console is also capable of displaying games (that allow it) at 4K resolution and 120fps if you have a tv that supports it. If not the console still works on a standard 1080p or 720p tv you just won’t get that premium image quality and smooth gameplay.

I would recommend buying this over the Xbox series s as the series x is more powerful and will run games way better than the series s but if you are on a budget the series s is ok as well but do know that it does not have a disk drive so you will only be able to play digital copies of games instead of both physical and digital.

Gamepass is also a great feature if you are just joining the Xbox brand as it gives you access to over 100+ games that you can download and play all the way through. Games are added and rotated out on a monthly bases some games stay on for years others get removed after a few months.

Think of it as a Netflix for video games. I recommend getting gamepass ultimate as it gives you access to gamepass and Xbox live gold which give you access to online multiplayer titles. Gamepass ultimate is 15$ a month but for new members you can get it for 1$ for 3 months and pay the 15$ once the 3 month period is over.

If you just joined the Xbox brand and have no games to play gamepass ultimate immediately erases that problem as you can play 100+ games spanding from Xbox 2001 to the Xbox series x/s generation. If you are lucky enough to get your hands on this console get it it’s a great console with a lot of consumer friendly benefits for new and returning players.

How does microsoft’s entry level offering into the next gen realm stack up and is it worth it? Since I currently own all three of the xbox one x, series s and series x (seriously microsoft can you get any lazier with the naming?) I thought I would take a second to give my two cents on the series s console as it compares and relates to its xbox brethren.

So first off what exactly is the Xbox Series S and where does it fit into the rest of the Xbox family? The Series S is one of microsoft’s two new next gen (current gen by now?) consoles as it looks to phase out the older Xbox One models.

Its serves as the entry level next gen console sorta like the little brother to the much more powerful, flagship Series X console. Basically an all digital, disc free upgrade to the older Xbox One family.

It brings advancements such as ray tracing, 3d audio, nvme ssd and faster gpu at the cost of storage and performance. In all honesty, the little brother doesn’t really play in the same league as its bigger brother so its actually much more logical to compare it to the One X since both price and performance falls into a much closer spectrum to see if its worth upgrading for you.

PROS:- The new Xbox Series S brings a host of advancements over the previous console cycle. Primarily and most obviously noticeable is that it is faster. Like, much faster. In fact that is the first thing everyone that has used mine says within the first 5 minutes.

The new console clocks in with a GPU that is 393Mhz faster than a One X as well as a CPU that is roughly 1. 5x faster. Add to that advanced NVME SSD and load times are drastically cut down from older consoles, so much so that it is seriously hard to sit and stare at loading screens for more than 20 seconds anymore.

Beyond that the Series S also offers support for ray tracing along with twice the refresh rate at 120hz. Another under appreciated upgrade is support for 3D spatial audio, if you haven’t experienced Dolby Atmos yet you are missing out! You also get the newer version of the Xbox wireless controller and much improved app support for all your streaming needs.

All of this at price that is much more palatable than the Series X and about that of a new One X (if you can find one). Add to that full backwards compatibility for both gaming and hardware and you can see the many benefits to upgrading.

However, that price point does come at some compromises. CONS:- There are some trade offs to having a reasonable price point and smaller profile. Primarily the Series S is not a true 4k console. Output resolution is limited 1440p compared to 4k capabilities of the One X.

However don’t forget you have a much faster refresh rate which leads to far smoother gameplay and that is going to be much noticeable than the dip in resolution which really requires a higher end tv to make a difference.

Another big difference is the obvious lack of a disc drive. Given the push towards digital gaming this may or may not matter to you, but any older games you still have on disc are basically useless and forget about using it as your 4k blu ray player.

Although you can still access streaming services such as Netflix etc. Lastly for a system that is all digital you are definitely going to run into memory storage issues. With 512Gb of internal storage off the shelf there is going to be constant shuffling of what games you keep installed on your system.

Considering most games are now in the 50-75Gb range and can often be much higher this could be quite the issue. VERDICT:- In conclusion the Series S is definitely a step up and into the next console generation.

Although the resolution is actually lower than an older One X model this is not truly noticeable unless you have a very good newer TV. What is very noticeable is the processing speed and 120Hz refresh rate which any gamer will tell you makes a much bigger difference to the overall experience and the Series S shines here.

And until you actually experience it you can’t imagine the huge difference the loading times make, it is like old school dial up compared to 5g internet. Once you get used to it you really can’t go back.

So depending on what your budget and requirements are the Series S is totally and upgrade to the One X and unless you have spent $1000+ on a tv that is no more than year old and have another $600+ to spend on the flagship Series X this might very well be the console for you! A great way to experience the benefits of next gen gaming without breaking the bank.

The Series S is a fantastic little machine for the money Microsoft is asking for. It supports all new releases going forward in this upcoming generation of games (albeit with some minor graphical and performance cutbacks here and there), Xbox One titles, and select 360/OG xbox games via an incredible backwards compatibility program.

You can rest assured that when you purchase this machine you’ll have one of the most robust libraries of content available on any console bar none. You can also take advantage of Gamepass, a service that really is the closest you can get to the Netflix of games.

With all that high praise, why did I give this a 4 star rating instead of 5? Here is where the concessions made in order to deliver a $300 box with built in ray tracing hardware, supports for 120fps output, SSD storage, all while being smaller than the previous generation’s slim model come into play.

The Series S does not have a disc drive. If you have a physical collection of Xbox One titles you were hoping to carry into the next generation, this is not the box for you. This is an all digital machine through and through.

High frame rates come at the cost of lower resolutions. The Series S supports 4k HDR video streaming as well as HDR gaming, but most games forego higher resolutions for stable 60 or even 30 fps experiences in most cases.

120fps is on the plastered on the outside of the retail box, but apart from select multiplayer titles and provided you have a TV that even supports the frame rate, you likely won’t be doing much gaming at 120fps.

This machine is best played, and perhaps designed to be played, on 1080p screens. Lastly we come to storage. The internal SSD does wonders for the user experience. Menus, boot ups, and loading for optimized games are suitably quick.

Problem is despite the packaging stating the console comes with 500GB of storage, the operating system takes up a large chunk of that leaving you with little more than 300GB of useable storage. Microsoft sells SSD expansion cards to alleviate this some, but at the current eye watering price of $220 for and extra 1TB of SSD storage you may be asking yourself, “why not save the money I would spend on the console plus the memory and instead get the Series X for $500 or better yet the PS5 Digital Edition for $400?” That leads to the conclusion and the biggest selling point for the Series S by far, availability.

Both Series X & PS5s are expected to be hard to find products till at least 2023 due to the ongoing global chip supply shortage. If you want to play the newest releases, don’t mind playing them at lower resolutions and frame rates, if having a fewer number of installed games isn’t a huge inconvenience for you, then this could be the perfect console to buy right now and tide you over until availability for the more powerful machines gets better.

I’ve had consoles and PCs for many years but as of recent I had been a PC gamer primarily and found myself growing tired of the trouble shooting, launchers and other overall minor complaints of PC gaming.

And found myself looking for a more pick up and play option the xbox series S has filled that role prefectly. An impressive little piece of hardware that runs almost any current gen game I can think of like a dream (while only costing as much as an above average graphics card that you may or may not be able to find in stock.

) In conjunction with the surprisingly good value the game pass service provides I have been absolutely pleased with every aspect of the console. The controller being battery charged instead of using an internal rechargeable seems an odd choice but this can easily be remedied with a set of rechargeable double AAs.

That is honestly my biggest and only complaint with the console. The unit is almost if not absolutely silent which was a nice change from the air port terminal that was the ps4 I owned a few years ago.

I highly suggest if you are looking for a current generation console make this the one you get unless you particularly want the benefits that come from the stronger series X or a PS5 this is absolutely the console for you.

It honestly reminds me of owning a PS2 back when they first came out and those vibes are hard to replicate. I’m having fun just playing games on my couch, dropping my jaw at pretty graphics and making friends and catching up with my brother online.

I own a PS5 and I am terribly happy with it, yet I feel it was worth getting an Xbox Series X as well. The Series X is a more powerful machine, and also the Gamepass service makes it doubly worth getting (there are a lot of games on GamePass that are not on PS Plus and vice versa).

I like how all my saves were kept in my Microsoft account in the cloud so I could seamlessly transition from playing my Xbox One games on my Xbox 1 X to playing it on this platform. Xbox Series X does Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos sound as well, so it takes advantage of my home theater’s full potential.

Lastly, I sold my Xbox Series S to upgrade to this one. I don’t miss it at all. If you are in a dilemma about whether to get the Series S now or save up to buy a Series X, don’t make the mistake I did.

Get the Series X! The Series S won’t play your Xbox One games as it is all-digital, and that infuriated me, owning so many XBox One game already. If you already have an Xbox One, and a library of games, then you already have a library set for this console, and they will play better in all cases, and even considerably better if it says “Optimized for Series X” on the back of your disc case.

I also want to note that there are many Xbox 360 and original Xbox games that you can play on this machine (theydon’t cover all of them, but a lot). I was impressed that I could play HAWX for Xbox 360 and it not only played a little more smoothly, but also I could use my Xbox One/ Series S flight controller.

At $500. 00 it does seem pricey at first, but I look at it this way– my $1000. 00 gaming pc is not even capable of playing some graphics-intensive games like Elden Ring, and this console is. And it plays a lot of the games I play on pc noticeably better.

And on that note, if you get gamepass for pc and console and download a pc game, in some cases if there is a corresponding Series X version of it, you can alternate between the two on the same game save.

Oh, wow. The only reason I might persuade someone against buying this first, or buying instead of a PS5 is if you like the Sony Exclusive games like Spider-Man, Horizon Forbidden West, and the Uncharted series.

Then definitely get a PS5 first (or instead) unless your passion in life is to play Halo 12 when it comes out.

X Box is one of the most, if not THE most popular console out there. With this, MS rode a tidal wave of hype to their next unit, the X series. Unfortunately it seems that was all hype and huff as there are not a lot of upgrades that make this box so wonderful.

If anything one would call the changes DOWNgrades. For starters, there is no interface for virtual anything, and it appears MS is not going to add any, anytime soon. Another very disappointing item is they took the sPdif out of the box !! The old X box had digital – optical sound, which is far superior to conventional sound IMO as it does not pick up ANY processor noises or other static / hiss etc.

The X version does not have sPdif out, so now you have to go and buy a 20 dollar splitter to split it out of the HDMI stream, convert it, and then plug it back into your cable to route to your stereo like your ‘old system’ was wired.

Why would anyone decide to eliminate that? NOT COOL !! Yes you could just route the sound thru the hdmi cable but for those who have projectors and surround amps separately, this becomes a big deal. It was fairly easy to set up and play however those two items right there make it NOT worth all the hype and huge dollars you are paying for it.

especially removing the digital sound !! They cut corners, raised the price and hyped it to the moon. Im surprised they didn’t offer a free copy of Microsoft Windows ME version with it 🙁 Overall not very happy.

Is it playable yes, but very disappointing.

This console is what they say it is and more! The graphics on this console from games that are optimized or made for the Series X is above par and well worth its weight in Gold! The speed of it is like they bottled of The Flash and put him to work inside! The lock isn’t as sleek as the PS5’s air purifier look but with a good Skin it turns out to be an awesome addition to my entertainment center.

Here is the breakdown! Graphics: If you are moving from the original xbox or xbox one to the series x you will notice a huge difference in graphics even on a TV that isn’t built for 4K viewing. If you are moving from the One X to the Series X you will notice some changes only to the games that are built or Optimized for the Series X but all games feel better with the speed you gain.

Overall the Series X is on par to compete with most gaming PC’s that are currently out there and once developers start taking advantage of everything the Series X has to offer I will be surprise if it doesn’t beats some gaming PC’s on the market today.

Right now I give the graphics 4. 8 out of 5 stars but will probably be 5 stars within a year. ‘ Speed: Only gaming PC’s that have the new PCI4. 0 SSD’s are as fast loading as the Series X with its games.

To have a game load within 15 seconds that normally would take 60s or more on other gen xbox’s is beautiful!! And that isn’t even talking about the games that support the awesome “quick resume” feature.

This feature is something that you don’t know you wanted till you start using it!! The quick resume alone is a selling point for Microsoft and their Series X/S consoles. Speed is beautiful in a world that is always moving.

I would give the speed a 5 out of 5 star!! If they can learn to make the loading times even faster then boy are we in for some great experiences in the future! Games: This is where, as of now, I have to say I wish there was more to offer! Game Pass alone is awesome for those who are new to xbox.

They will have 100’s of games available the day they turn on their console that they could experience for the 1st time and that is by far better than any gaming console on the market today. However, if you are looking for exclusive games that are new look great and feels great then there currently isn’t much being offered by Microsoft.

With their dozens of gaming studios they purchased over the past 5 or so years lets hope that is about to change and come E3 2021 we finally get a list of games that will make anyone want to go out and buy a Series X!!.

As someone who’s never played minecraft I can honestly say I enjoyed this game. I purchased it because I’m a fan of anything Telltale releases. They aren’t always winners, but this one plenty of fun.

I would guess it’s even more enjoyable for fans of minecraft who would understand all the references and storylines that i wasn’t familiar with. And it is looooong. You get your money’s worth in gameplay time alone.

Comes with all the dlc also.

Amazing game for Minecraft lovers of all ages. Bought for my 6 year old but we have all been hooked on the story. Nice long game and I can already see it has lots of replay-ability so well worth the money.

Lots of in jokes and Easter eggs for Minecraft players. Very happy with all of it would recommend!.

My 8-year-old was begging for this video game and received it as a gift. He loves watching the different chapters, but I’m a bit disappointed in the character’s dialogue. They talk as you would expect a group of teenagers would (no real bad language, but definitely attitudes and some name calling) and for this reason I ‘m not thrilled my son is loving it so much.

So if your child has tendencies to pick up on not-so-desirable talk, stick with the original Minecraft game. The characters go on an adventure to stop a Storm (a huge monster). At different turning points of the story, the player determines what choice the character will make.

This reminds me of the Choose Your Own Adventure chapter books I loved in elementary school and for that, I think this game is unique and enjoyable for kids 10 and up.

Take no notice of the other review as it is based on incompatibility problems and not the game. This game is for Windows XP & Vista, not Windows 7 or later. It is in fact, a great racing game and anyone into motorbikes will like this.

Even car racers may get something good out of this. Recommended game.

some people on ebay review the games only to get the score up so when they try to sell the game the reviews are all good. so typically you see an average score about 1 to 2 points higher than it really should be.

this game is going to be one of the most difficult racing game to master. the steering is responsive but because you are racing a bike it takes time to lean into the corner. also the more and longer you lean into the corner the better grip you’ll get.

it is very difficult to get used to. but it is so rewarding when you are earning gold medals and winning races. the game is basically similar to the original back on the first xbox. the handling feels the same.

the challenges however dont require you as much patience as previous games have. i did not play moto gp 06 however. i have read that this one is only slightly better. but not having played 06 i can only say i truly like 07.

the biggest beef i have with the game is the tail wagging you get in some of the corners. your bike’s rear end will wabble like crazy sometimes but it doesnt actually effect gameplay at all. only looks stupid.

almost like lag when you play online. that brings me to the strong point. online play. no racing game is less forgiving online. it is so easy to run over others and then you have to follow it with a degrading “im sorry dude”.

other than making enemies, you can also make a lot of friends if you are a good sport. if someone runs you over and they apologize and you are actually cool with it, people will remember you. i have raced with people who have actually said they have heard of me in the game without ever actually racing with me before.

that is a cool feeling. the game requires major precision online. the closing rate can be so fast it is rediculous. when you out brake someone in the corner and end up running them over you are generally the one at fault.

in many cases they go down and you dont. which can be worse. if they are seeded better than you then they might likely catch you and come back and kill you if you dont apologize to them. overall a great game to racing fans with patience.

best of all this game is proven to make you better on road courses in almost any type of vehicle in real life. because its emphasis is on precision. remember this game will take some commitment.

Having been fortunate enough to own a PS5 on launch day and now an Xbox Series X for about a week or so I can confidently say that I do not regret my purchase. Admittedly at first I was cautious, however considering Microsoft’s recent acquisition of multiple award winning game studios I decided to future-proof my gaming.

At first I was a little underwhelmed by the lack of Xbox exclusive titles, after all I’d come from the likes of Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank: Rift apart. However, I can say those worries have quickly been put to rest by the extensive catalogue of games available on Game Pass, the native upscaling of older games has also been a treat and seeing some of my favorite old games come to life in the way that Banjo Kazooie or Fable have is both nostalgic and refreshing.

If that wasn’t enough the guarantee of games from studios like XGS and now Bethesda studio on release day makes Game Pass a no-brainer in my opinion. All this and we haven’t even discussed quick resume yet, I cannot stress enough just how unbelievably convenient this little feature is and I’ve come from being blown away by its sheer speed to almost expecting it- sure the PS5 has incredible loading speeds but the ability to completely bypass all loading screens and instantly pick up from where you left off is something that cannot be beaten.

This becomes especially apparent when switching from a single player game to multiplayer games with friends and doing it on the fly feels so, so good. I’ve come from being on the fence about Microsoft’s latest and greatest to finding myself just naturally turning towards it whenever I’m gaming, the sheer variety of games available on Game Pass coupled with the practicality of quick resume has meant that I find less and less reason to pick up my dual sense controller.

Don’t get me wrong, when it comes to first party exclusives I still believe PlayStation truly have something magical and I’m super excited for the release of games like God Of War: Ragnarok, SpiderMan 2 and Forspoken however that’s just it I find that other than first party exclusives I have no real compelling reason to play the Ps5, after all why purchase a triple AAA third party title for £50 when I can potentially experience it for free on release day for £10 a month on Game Pass? I’m not here to convince you that one is better than the other after all they both satisfy different needs for me, I love them both and look forward to seeing what the future holds for the next gen of consoles.

I’ve had enough of waiting on Sony to release the PS5. I’ve heard from a number of people including someone who works for Sony in the PS distribution teams, that Sony is hoarding PS5s in it’s warehouses to drive up scarcity & in doing so, causing people to panic buy their console like it will never come.

From the mid 1990s I’ve got the original Play-station, PS2 (both versions) PS3 (Both versions) & a PS4 (standard late 1TB edition) & all are in full working order so you might be thinking why have I switched.

I’m a long time PS gamer & never had time for Xbox as it seemed too much like a PC which I already had. I talked with some people who already have a PS5 & an Xbox series X or S console. All of them(including two who own 2 tech stores)had more favourable reviews of the Xbox over the PS5 from the Xbox easy ability to switch through games & apps & quick resume to it’s hardware which is superior to the PS5 plus a lot of titles on PS are on Xbox.

I decided rather than wait for Sony to make more consoles available, to buy the Xbox series x with the game pass. I’ve not been disappointed. It’s quicker than the PS5 I tested, it works with my TV by providing Dolby ATMOS & Vision(Dolby app on Xbox store + a compatible TV are required)for games & movies from the apps so these look and sound amazing.

I found the PS4 & 5 worked against me a bit with HDMI settings. The Xbox is quiet (remember the jet taking off inside your PS4) with only one light on the front of the console & on the controller. It can be place upright or on it’s side and while it is a bit heavy & larger than the Xbox one, it trumps the PS5 for ease of handling & size.

The controller is easy to use and with games I was already familiar with, it was easy to pick up & I’m playing games I never would have bothered with on PS5. The build quality of the console and controllers has a premium feel plus there is no bulky transformer for the power supply (standard 2 PIN connecter to 3 pin plug) with this console which I know from friends with previous Xbox consoles that this was an annoyance.

You also get a HDMI cable that is around 2 metres long included in the box so long enough to reach from the console to the TV. The PS3 nor 4 had a HDMI cable that long. Check the full specs on the Xbox website for more info on the console.

The all access package gives 24 months access to the Xbox/Microsoft store with 100 free game titles each month plus discounts on others. Sure Sony only charges £50 per year but only offers between 1 – 3 free games per month with discounts on others.

The Xbox series x is not perfect however. Several issues that frustrate my with Xbox console are that it’s controllers don’t come with a rechargeable battery out of the box. Fair that these are sold at reasonable prices separately so when battery degradation kicks in, these are easily replaced unlike PS wireless controllers which need to be replaced completely unless you have the knowhow to change the battery but it would be nice to have a rechargeable battery pack included with the Xbox initial setup or a discount voucher for a battery pack.

In some games, the A button takes a second or two to respond which can be critically fatal in some game situations. The console can’t be shut down completely unless you go into the settings and select the option.

Otherwise it’s in a shutdown but standby mode drinking expensive electricity like it’s going out of fashion! The Xbox has been a real eyeopener for me as a gamer and while I didn’t like the previous generations, I do like this one.

I’ll miss some titles like the Uncharted series but aside from this, it’s still a worthwhile change for me. Sony are going to lose users & customers to Xbox but then they always seem to have issues with the odd numbered consoles.

Who remembers all the issues with their launch of the PS3 (Seeing one smashed to bits with a sledge hammer was surreal) or the burned out consoles from playing L. A. Noire which neither Sony or Rockstar would take responsibility for.

My brother who currently has our PS & PS2 console is going over to Xbox now. He’s tired of waiting for Sony and after testing a PS5 of a friend(who’s reaction to the PS5 was meh) plus reading several reviews, is not that impressed with the PS5 either.

To keep it brief, this console is amazing. The last Xbox I had was the 360. I’ve always been a Playstation consumer, but the Xbox Series X has me really excited for Microsoft’s future. I currently own the PS5 and it’s a great console no doubt, but I feel as if the Xbox console itself is more premium in quality.

The PS5 has a more premium controller while the Series X has a more premium console. I’m not really into the whole “Playstation is better” or “Xbox is better” debate. They are both awesome consoles but since getting the Series X, I have been enjoying it more than my PS5.

Game Pass was a new concept for me. I know people who currently have Xbox One’s have had Game Pass for a while, but it was amazing for me given I haven’t had an Xbox since the 360. I can confidently say that Xbox is doing an amazing job with Game Pass.

It is far better than Playstation Plus and the Playstation Plus premium package deals. Makes the Xbox actually feel like a gaming console rather than a pay a lot to play. One dollar for the first month of Game Pass, and then it’s $15 a month to continue the subscription.

I just canceled my Netflix and can say I’ve used Game Pass more than Netflix and I actually don’t have all the time in the world to play games either. The insides of this console are incredible. I watched a teardown of both the Series X and the PS5.

The Series X is much more impressive with the parts and pieces that are actually pretty pricey parts and it amazes me that they managed to keep the price at $500 still. If you’re asking yourself, do I get a PS5 or a Series X.

I would of course say get both, but given that Sony has been increasing the price of the PS5 and it is not as easy to come by, I would say get the Series X and don’t stress about the PS5 right now. The Series X is much easier to get, the design of it in my opinion despite it being very minimalist, is actually nicer than the PS5 and it’s a little smaller than it too, and you can finally enjoy next gen gaming without having scavenge for a PS5.

Game Pass is great to have as well and with it you can play basically every new game, and has titles that start from the original Xbox all the way to Xbox One/Series XS. Also if you’re like me and have a few Original Xbox games and Xbox 360 games, you can actually play them on your Series X because Microsoft actually made their console backwards compatible.

If you’ve been more of a Playstation person I feel your hesitation, but this console is actually worth it. Not hating on Sony but I wish they had made their consoles backwards compatible like the Series X.

But yeah if you’re wanting to play next gen games, get the Series X and get the PS5 later when they come out with a Slim or Pro model. Overall I didn’t expect to like it this much.

This game might be my favorite of all time. No game allows the player to have near as much open world freedom and fun with friends, and accommodates any playstyle. Do you like hacking and slashing AI controlled monsters and engaging in 1500s naval combat with cannons and pirate ships? This is the perfect game.

Do you like relaxing on paradise like islands with little animals and fishing in front of the sunset? This is the perfect game. Maybe you’re more into heists, stealing gold from vaults and other players.

You can do that in this game. It has everything. It’s beautiful, allows the player to involve themselves in whatever level of action they want, and all while being online and with friends. Incredible stuff.

My first experience with Sea of Thieves was on Xbox Gamepass Ultimate. I honestly had no idea that Microsoft had created such a well crafted game exclusively for the Xbox ecosystem. It is games like this that make me proud to be an owner of an Xbox Series X console.

This game has many modes of play: Sick of grief gamers? Just jump on a sloop and run solo missions until you make Pirate Legend. Want some company? Then you should choose an “Open Crew” and a Galleon that can hold up to four players.

The detail in the game is what gets me. I can still remember the first time I dove into the dark ocean, after a crewmate yelled “Ship sighted!” I found myself holding my Series X controller close to my body, eyes wide open, as I twisted and turned with my character who swam into the lower levels of the capsized, sunken galleon.

If there was treasure to be found in this skeleton of a ship I was going to find it! I was impressed by how your character begins drowning slowly if you stay underwater for too long. Again, the details in this game make it great.

The water looks amazing. Also, the weather changes in the game. You’ll find yourself telling crewmates to climb up into the crow’s nest and give you a compass reading once the creepy fog rolls in and envelops your ship.

After playing this game for a few months on Gamepass I just had to buy the physical copy. If you’re into games that are fun, adventure-filled, but at the same time lighthearted at times; you should probably pick this game up!.

The game is fun, interesting , and completely free after initial purchase. It has great animation. You can play some crazy missions and fight creatures like megalodons , kraken, skeletons, ghost ships, and other crazy things.

Or you can just run small merchant deliveries, go fishings, sail the seas and relax hearing the ocean noises. I gave it a lower review because the community is really toxic. You may join random people on a ship and have a great time.

Or you can get stuck with random people who want to troll you the whole time and make you miserable. Also their are alot of players in the game who just cruise around sinking ships for no reason. Even you are just fishing.

They’ll come to your ship, kill you , and sink your ship just for existing. The game itself is great. It’s the people that ruin it.

Despite not often enjoying FPS games set during WW2, I kept an open mind going in to CoD Vanguard. I wasn’t expecting a great game considering Sledgehammer’s uninspired first attempt at WW2, unimaginatively titled “CoD WW2”, but I wasn’t going in to this game expecting to dislike it based off SHG’s (Sledgehammer Games) first attempt at making a game set in the 40’s era.

I won’t give a long analysis or give away any spoilers regarding the campaign, but it isn’t as if you’ll desire playing past the 45 minute mark. To say the least; Vanguards story & dialogue is tragic at best.

No memorable characters despite playing as multiple soldiers across the world during the most prolific & horrific conflict in history. They’re bland & uninteresting, no character in the story contains any amount of charisma, funny or interesting moments, or any amount of intelligent thinking.

I wouldn’t consider any characters, playable or NPC to be close to serviceable for a “story driven experience”. Speaking of story, it does have one thing going for it- While playing as multiple characters through out the game, meeting many officers, civilians & other generic filler AI, the “story” remains consistent in being pathetic, unappealing, unimpressive & dull through out.

If you’re at the point with the series where you only purchase a game due to it’s campaign, you’re better of purchasing Half-Life 1 & 2 for an immaculate first person story experience. This pathetic attempt to create an appealing & emotional story is as unsuccessful as Blockbuster is in 2021.

Multiplayer is similar to the campaign as it’s uninspired, lazy & as forgettable as it gets. Maps are convoluted, with seemingly 10 ways to get shot from in every room & corridor. The time to kill near is instant, giving you virtually no way to react if you get shot in the back.

(As mentioned, with the complex maze like maps you’ll be getting shot from the back or side constantly. ) That’s not mentioning the horrific gun “balance”, or lack there of more appropriately said. Only a few weapons are favourable, the remainder will not be touched by the majority of players as they’ll receive a major disadvantage at all ranges.

Bugs are literally unmissable, if I do reluctantly play a game I’ll encounter at least one immersion breaking bug per game. I only wishing I were exaggerating, unfortunately not. If I do decide to destroy my mental stability & play more than one game, I’ll consistently encounter game breaking bugs through out.

Regardless of your ping or opposing players connection quality, you’ll consistently be encountering intrusive bugs. Skill Based Match Making (SBMM) is as evident as ever, you’ll only be playing against people of your skill level.

Which never allows you to sit back, relax & enjoying playing a game. That’s perhaps the worst part of this game, you either commit to trying your best every game, or you don’t play it at all. Regardless of your decision, you will not be having any fun.

Zombies is not even worth mentioning, the maps are as offencively uninspired & convoluted as the various ones in multiplayer, hostiles are pathetically programmed & forgettable to say the least. Nothing about this game has any redeeming qualities, it is another disgusting attempt by Activision to milk this once beloved series that somehow manages to continue to decline 10 years past its peak.

Please do not purchase this game as you’ll be thoroughly disappointed as I am. Thank you.

Having played COD games since PS2 days all the way to PS5 you can really appreciate how far these games have come and the work put into it. I’m really enjoying the campaign as it really feels like a great WWII add on to the over populated High Tech Modern style games we have had.

I love my MW and MW2 and Black ops 1 and Black Ops 2 game but its nice to get another decent WWII shooter. It may not be the best COD but still great fun in Single Player and Multiplayer online. As far as maps go they are just that another COD style maps.

They might not be as colorful as other COD games but my TV gave me great visuals and colors where they needed to be. They wanted to make the game feel like it use to be during those times. Yes the game can be dull with bland colors and grey atmosphere but WWII never was Rainbow colors and Unicorns it was damp, dreary and bold.

I did enjoy this game and I do hope they keep making WWII style games as there are so many stories that can be told from that war. I do get that its just another wash, rinse and repeat but now days most of these shooters are.

Yeah you have your War Zones and Battlefield 2042 coming soon that are massive maps but its still the same formula since the day you could get into vehicles in Multiplayer games just larger scale and pretty looking.

I myself play War Zone and will play Battlefield 2042 when it arrives but its nice to jump back in and play something that feels and looks older once in a while. The guns feel just like your other COD WWII games and sound the same.

I do like the fact you can sort of give orders and make your team members ( in campaign ) supress fire and move here and things like that but its nothing to write home about. Acting is good and visuals look great on a decent TV with nice frame rate.

If anything if you don’t want to pick this up now I would say grab it when on sale or something as like I said its still great fun for a COD game. I would recommend this game if you want another WWII game to add to your collection or want boots on the ground.

I held off on getting this one because I’m tired of the rinse and repeat format; ESPECIALLY for WWII themed installments. However, I was actually pretty pleased with the return of reboot MW’s mechanics/engine! My only complaint is the large selection of sights for guns.

There are so many that are just clones offering the same stats with only them having cosmetic differences. The Zombies modes are okay at best. The devs were really trying to reinvent the wheel by introducing a new mode that has a semi-open world concept, but is objective-based at heart.

I’m not a huge fan of the modes only bc the completion of various objectives rely on players voting to do them. Every once in a while you will come across either a lobby that’s moving way too quick or (even worse) players that cannot compromise on which objectives to complete first.

So you end up sitting around. Overall, I like it! I haven’t played campaign, but heard it’s anthological. There is a set of mini campaigns kind of like how Battlefield 1 and V were.
