The best men’s running shoe for plantar fasciitis is the Saucony Omni 16. This shoe is designed to provide maximum support and cushioning for the foot, which is essential for those with plantar fasciitis.
The Omni 16 also has a wide toe box, which is important for preventing further irritation to the foot.
20 Best Men’S Running Shoe For Plantar Fasciitis
1. FitVille Men’s Extra Wide Sneakers for Flat Feet Athletic Shoes with Wide Toe Box Plantar Fasciitis Shoes – Stride Core
The FitVille Stride Core running shoes are especially designed for people who have wide flat feet. The wide toe box design keeps your feet free and comfortable. With light breathable 3 layer mesh cloth upper and shock-absorbing pad for maximum comfort, FitVille’s Stride Core is the best trainer for walking, the running, or any other fitness activity.
The “x-wide” Stride Core worked quite well for my particular foot problems. I tried the “wide” fit first, and it was a bit too tight. However, the “x-wide” provided a little more width and height in the toe box.
The shoes are very comfortable, and I’ve been able to wear them most of the day. I was concerned that the heel might be too loose on the “x-wide,” but so far so good. Proper socks are important. I wear Maggie’s Organics merino wool socks which tend to stay up on the ankle even with the wider fit.
Soft, cushy landings with every step and now 20g lighter, the men’s ASICS GEL-Nimbus 24 lets you rack up the miles in comfort. ASICSrsquo classic GEL cushioning gives your feet and joints advanced impact protection on your runs and walks.
New FF BLAST PLUS cushioning in the midsole gives you an extra layer of lightweight comfort when your foot lands and keeps the shoe feeling responsive and energetic when you toe-off. Reviewers loved that the laces and breathable engineered mesh upper give your foot a roomy fit and solid lockdown during long runs in our ASICS Gel-Nimbus 24 review.
Plus, the shoe’s upper is made with recycled materials to reduce waste and carbon emissions. To top it off, the soft padding on the back of the upper hugs your ankle nicely for amazing step-in comfort.
Float through your next run or walk in the ASICS GEL-Nimbus 24.
I’ve been a long time runner and competitor. I bought these a week ago after using Kayano shoes for years and other brands. I have been on a few runs as a regular runner to assess them and it’s disappointing that they don’t seem as good as they used to be.
They appear as a harsh and uncomfortable shoe. Pro’s: They feel light. My size 11 shoe weights in at 320g ea. The elastic in the Upper construction is excellent that it hugs your foot like a sock and it seems quite breathable.
I like to run my shoes quite snug, so they seem true to size, if slightly narrow in the toe box. Colours a pretty neat. Cons: They’re very rigid in the sole. They’ll become more pliable with use, but currently they create quite a bit of pressure on Toe off.
The Upper and the tongue is very thin. It saves on weight but you feel the laces of you like to cinch your shoes up tight. Cushioning throughout the sole, whilst thick, is not as comfortable as they used to be in years gone by.
Much less Gel in the Heel and midfoot areas, instead relying on high density foams which seem harder and less forgiving. It cuts down weight in sacrifice of impact absorption and you feel it if running on the road if you have poor technique.
Heel cut is just a bit too low to grab the back of the foot securely. This seems to be an Asics thing now, as my last two pairs of Kayanos do the same thing and the Heel foam blows out from rubbing on the heel rather than locking the shoe in place.
For the price of a flagship shoe, they just don’t tick enough boxes in the comfort department anymore to be value for money.
As the title states, this is the best and most significant update to the Nimbus line up. It is probably also the best year to year update I’ve seen across many brands. The drop in weight from the Nimbus 23 is significant (35g I believe) and definitely felt as the shoe feels far more balanced, promoting heel strikes to land on their midfoot.
Two standout updates are the inclusion of the new FFBlast+ midsole which adds so much comfort to the ride, and the updated upper where the tongue is now a thin but padded and stretchy tongue. Its a small aspect of the shoe but it looks sleek, and performs its duty far better than the padded and chunky tongues which were more prone to sliding left to right in the older models.
The Nimbus 24 is overall very versatile in that neutral runners like myself can wear them, but they also provide support for pronators and people who need correction in their step. Its especially useful for neutral runners recovering from injuries.
With the reduced weight and sleeker profile, the shoe is also more capable of quicker and longer runs, and absolutely a great experience for everyday running. A worthy addition to my rotation.
I’m 170lb, 10 to 11 min/mile runner going through marathon training. For my long runs over 18 miles, I’ve tried Nike Invincible Run and Skechers GoRun Maxroad 5, both of which featured widely publicized super foam midsoles, but just didn’t work out due to issues such as blisters, fit, or ride quality.
Nimbus 24 so far proven to have just as good in terms of cushioning, but with superior upper and ride. I’m free of the same problems with those previous shoes. Nimbus 24 has bouncy Blast Plus midsoles, has the right amount of flexibility in the forefoot, while being very consistent in cushioning and ride.
The semi-exposed Trussitc bar provided just the right amount of stability through my gait cycles. The well shaped and padded heel counters provides great comfort. I’m not sold on the stretchy tongue, as I found myself needing to pull it form time to time to maintain the same comfort.
But still, the upper is supremely comfortable, and all of those quality have convinced me to donate the Nike and the Skechers. I highly recommend Nimbus 24. I don’t really have wide feet but have read other reviews about narrower fit, and Wide turned out to be the right choice.
FitVille Rebound Core – Extra wide width walking sneakers with patented anti-slip outsoles designed by FitVille, help to release your feet and free your toes to enjoy day-to-day activities. Fitville Shoes are made especially for people suffering from foot problems like flat foot, plantar fasciitis or heel pain.
More size for your flexible choices. All-day comfort and cloud-like cushioning make it more than a shoe. It’s FitVille.
Unfortunately my trainers didn’t fit. Good width across toes, too wide over-rest of foot. Also too short. Fabric tops are a cheap poor quality. Soles seem to be durable. My major problem is that it’s impossible to return the trainers.
Fitville admitted that it’s expensive to return to their distributor in Germany and offered me a refund of £50 instead, and that I keep the trainers. This is a thoughtful gesture, however I would have preferred a full refund or trainers that actually fit, but I’m not prepared to try another size and having the same returns problem.
This company needs to sort out their returns issues before they are real contenders in the trainer market!.
Known for over twenty years as a runner favorite, these supportive running shoes continue to deliver. Designed to offer a perfect balance of support and softness, the men’s Adrenaline GTS 22 offers a smooth ride plus comfort that’s ready for any run.
Smart support All our running shoes prioritize comfort, but our GuideRails technology adds support by keeping excess movement in check. So you stay in your natural stride, even when you get tired. Soft cushioning Updated midsole is now 100% DNA LOFT cushioning for a soft, smooth ride.
Smooth transitions The new soft midsole and Segmented Crash Pad team up for easier flow from landing to toe-off.
I got my first pair of ‘serious’ running shoes at 55, fitted at a reliable, trustworthy outfitters with a salesperson who knew how to fit feet. My custom footbeds slipped in perfectly, and gave my feet the little extra bit of support I needed for a proper gait, while keeping lots of cushioning from the shoe.
Did my 5 miles a day for three years on a variety of surfaces, climates and terrain. Lots of room in the toes, snug but not tight over the arch, and never any slip in the sturdily padded heel. Cushioned but very stable.
A bit sophisticated in style, which was a plus. But, I wore then out. And the store didn’t make it through the pandemic. So I found the latest model at Altitude sports. Each point that was worn on my old pair has been improved.
Sleek and elegant styling, perfect fit, Quick delivery, no hassle, perfect condition, fair price. All the best features were updated, but not so they didn’t feel familiar. Very pleased, feet happy and got compliments.
Very comfortable with just the right amount of support for me. After a few pairs of Adrenaline I was recommended the additional support of the Addiction but they were just not right and caused more problems than trying to solve.
Back to the Adrenaline and my feet/knees/hips are so much happier. I’m also happy that my first on-line shopping experience with shoes was hassle free; the sizing from year to year and model to model is very consistent.
The fabric these shoes are made from, the slight stretch, is what makes them so comfortable without loosing any support around the heel and arch. Reason for only 4 stars – I’m getting mighty peeved Brooks for some reason decide not to make the wide fitting shoes in the bright and pretty colours.
At least this time round I had a choice of Navy instead of just black/grey/white. Wide fittings in nice colours like the Violet and the Teal of years past!! Please.
I have been a Brooks Adrenaline GTS lover for going on 12 years. 3 years ago, I noticed changes in the shoe but not too bad so I purchased again last year. Last year, again, I had issues. But, because I have absolutely loved this shoe for so long, I tried again this year.
Sadly, this may very well be the last year I purchase for running. I’ve been lightly running in the shoe for a little over 2 months now, maybe at most 100 miles on them, and the treads are separating from the outsole of the shoe.
same thing happened last year. Two other issues I have had last year and this year are (1) the heel counter causing skin abrasion (until the skin toughens in the area) and (2) small sections of the upper mesh detaching.
I will say the midsole and the toe box are great which is probably why I tried one last time on this model. Overall, I will be trying another runner soon.
Brooks Hyperion Tempo Running Shoes For a performance race day and training shoe, look no further than the Brooks Hyperion Tempo Running shoes to take your pace to the next level. For hunting personal bests and podium finishes, the Hyperion Tempo has been developed with speed at the heart of its lightweight, responsive design.
Packed with high-end features, these shoes are designed to keep you running at pace for longer. The Brooks DNA FLASH midsole is infused with nitrogen to offer ultralight cushioning and exceptional energy return, delivering energy savings and keeping you running in your preferred motion path.
Optimised for speed, performance-focused stretch-woven upper moves with your foot to provide unmatched comfort, even at race pace. Highly breathable, the upper sees excellent airflow to your foot for a lasting, fresh feel.
Pros: # Lightweight # Perfect heel lockdown # Feet feel stable/firmly planted # Grippy – like many brooks shoes, rubber is softer but with the trade off being less km Cons: # Super Thin Tongue – the biggest problem I had with these shoes.
The tongue is thinner than a piece of paper. The laces put a lot of pressure on the top of my feet, causing them to feel tingly or lose feeling no matter how loosely they are tied. The shorter the run the better as my feet hurt the longer they are in them.
# A bit too firm. I expected a bit more bounce (like a slightly firmer version of adidas boost soles). The Hyperion Tempo feel more harsh on landing than expected. I will try to avoid use on roads and paths and keep them for grass tracks or light trails.
#Expensive. I feel there are many shoes out there at a fraction of the cost with a similar fit, feel and level of performance. I was really excited to try the new ‘DNA Flash’ cushioning but feel like it doesn’t live up to its hype.
#Long laces. They flap around a lot which is a bit annoying.
Excellent! Bought after reading the Solereview’s review and they lived up to the praise. PB for 10K on firs run. Typically running 30-40 seconds a mile faster in these shoes than in Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21 and Adidas Solar Boost ST.
Hyperion Tempo are a neutral shoe, which feel great, despite being “diagnosed” as an over pronator and recommended stability shoes in the past. Fit is good, tongue stays put and laces give precise fit.
Good stability on the dodgy local pavements and soke grips well. About a third lighter than the Adrenaline GTS and Solar Boost too. Great service from Start Fitness as usual – ordered Friday night and had them by Sunday afternoon.
I bought the Tempos for speed days and races but I could easily get away with these being my only pair of shoes. Unlike other shoes, they don’t need a break in period and feel great from the moment you put them on.
They’re so light they make you want to run fast in them all of the time, however, they feel comfortable and stable at any pace including walking. I’ve clocked over 300 km in these and they’re showing no sign of wear so they’re better value than the price tag suggests.
The only criticism I would make is that the grip is not the best on wet surfaces (far from the worst, though). Any trails with loose or muddy surfaces are also probably best avoided. Having said that, I’ve done park runs on well groomed trails and they’ve been perfectly fine.
I can’t wait to run in these during this year’s Melbourne Marathon Festival half marathon.
Bought these to replace an ageing pair of Salming and defunct Salomon shoes. They are a good fit for me, I like a wider shoe with some wiggle room. I’m 84kg so not light on a shoe. Outer is fairly stiff but this makes them nice and robust in the rough stuff.
The sole is fairly stiff too and feels a little unforgiving at first but they are surprisingly comfortable as they retain their cushioning throughout the run. You wouldn’t describe them as plush but they have a nice ride, firm but feels very natural.
My first run was a 12k through undulating woodland and was a mixed bag of mud, stones and roots. Shoes coped really well, decent grip in the mud without being too grippy on hardpack, which can feel draggy if the lugs are too big.
Very supportive, feet stayed dry and comfortable. Recommended.
Prior to purchasing these runners, I had only owned the one pair of trail and one pair of running shoe in the UA brand. So still fairly new to the brand with regards to runners. These are my third pair of UA runners and first general purpose runner and I have to say are by far THE most comfortable and well designed shoe I have owned in a long time.
They are true to size, which is a big plus when you’re looking for reliability when making online purchases. Very comfortable to wear and go with just about anything. I find the cushioning is next level in comfort and I will be coming back to these for my next pair.
Do yourself a solid and try these UA if you’re considering new shoes.
I do HIIT style workouts that alternate between cardio based hybrid classes to heavy strength based classes. I’d been experiencing tight calves for months and thought nothing of them being related to my shoes until I purchased these and have them a whirl! Well I’m both surprised and happy to share that my calves are no longer giving me the trouble they were! These shoes are comfortable, with the best support on the ankle, they come up at a good height and fit snug giving good support for all directions! Perfect for my kind of training especially when there’s some running thrown in ! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a CrossFit style trainer!.

A lightweight and ultra-agile shoe built to handle punishing paces and intense mixed-sport workouts. It’s at home on the track, street and in the gym. Get stronger, run longer.
I’ve had these for about 4 months and waited to give a review until now. I’ve never owned a pair and I needed to see how they were after they were worn for a while. All the reviews I read seemed positive but were given right after purchase.
Since purchasing them I’ve had many compliments on the look and style. At the end of the day, these shoes are by far the best, most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn. Super light, you barely know they are on your feet.
I wear them everyday and hate to take them off. I wear them for casual outings and as business casual. I’m on the website again about to order my second pair in a different color.
The Cloud X is a neat design from On that could be used for cross training and running. The design makes the shoe lighter than other models in similar categories, however; it should be noted these shoes will make some people’s ankles bleed as the ankle area has no padding and the stitching can rub against your skin.
It is worth trying these on in a store or wearing taller socks.
These are excellent for walking around town, up & down hills, several miles at a time–no problem. Solid, comfortable soles and roomy, breathable uppers, yet snug so they don’t give hot spots. Less useful on trails, because the aggressive tread tends to pick up half-inch pebbles (although they’re easy to remove).
The latest edition of a popular runner, the ASICS GT-1000 7 features a mesh upper that stretches and a wider toe box, all of which can accommodate more foot types. The heel includes FlyeFoam Lyte cushioning to absorb impact while adding durability and cutting weight.
Rearfoot GEL technology provides the cushioning you want. Impact Guidance System keeps moving you forward. High Abrasion rubber outsole for durability. Trusstic System technology for stability.
As context, I’ve been running with the ASICs GT line for decades. I wore them from the days when they were numbered GT 10_0 through the most prior version of the GT 1000 6. Runners tend to be conservative and I’ve stuck with these shoes as the shoes have stuck to a similar formula.
Once I gave the Kayanos a try and every once in a while I’ve purchased the GT 2000 line but mostly I’ve been a loyal GT 1000 runner. Depending not the season I run between 10 and 25 miles a week and I usually put 300-400 miles on a pair of shoes.
I figured the GT 1000 7 would be the next in line of the series with little change. This is not true. The 7 is a huge change. So much is new with this shoe and I think I’m not the only one taken by surprise.
The ASICs site and description list many things that may not be completely accurate. First of all, there is no sign of GEL anywhere. Maybe it’s in there but for as long as I can remember the GT line has had visible GEL at least around the heal area.
None is visible here. Maybe it’s in there but nothing on the shoe says GEL as in the past. The site also mentions AHAR rubber which was usually engraved in the sole and it isn’t here. I can’t tell you if AHAR is present but it feels softer than what I’m used to.
The site also mentions the Trusstic system which doesn’t appear present either. I don’t know if the Trusstic system was great. To me it always seemed a little complex and other shoe companies didn’t really do anything like it.
But the GT line has had it for as long as I can remember and the site description says the 7 has it but the sole seems structured much more like other shoes with no visible plastic truss. In fact, if you look in the “the technology in this product” section of the site description you see 8 technologies listed that are usually visible and/or printed on the shoe.
They show close-ups of the technology and/or labels. Of the 8 technologies listed, 5 are not visible on the shoe (Trusstic system, SpEVA midsole, Impact Guidance System, AHAR and Rearfoot GEL cushioning).
It’s possible that this stuff is in the shoe but in a way that isn’t visible like on previous models, but I’m skeptical. It looks like the bean counters took aim at this shoe and stripped out some of the tech.
I’m complaining a lot. I shouldn’t. I haven’t had these long enough to complain. The fit is OK. But again, it’s a huge change for the GT line and most of the changes seem to be about removing technologies that were there in the past and that continue to appear in the web site’s description.
This is a disappointment. I’ll continue to try them out. Maybe this is addition by subtraction. Or maybe I’ll have to move to the 2000 series which still seems to have retained these technologies.
• Try to focus on the product The product in this case is the GT-1000 7 (4E), Size 9. 5. It is an extra wide version of the shoe. I have wide feet and have been purchasing the same size and width from Asics for many years, including in this and similar models.
• Try to explain why you liked and disliked the product I did not like the product. My feet did not fit in the shoe with the same comfort as previous models of the same size. In fact, these shoes cut off circulation to my feet and were painful to wear.
The shoelaces were much too small to use all of the eyelets (holes) to completely lace the shoes. This is different from previous models that had laces with sufficient length to utilize all holes and tie my shoes.
• Do not mention prices, promotions and other companies or websites I certify that no prices, promotions, and other companies or websites are mentioned in this review. • Do not include any personal identifying information such as full names I certify that I have not included any personal identifying information such as full names.
I bought this type shoe for the first time 2 years ago when I had plantar fasciitis (sp?) that lasted a year. The shoes had extra arch support and gel padding. After gluing them back together for the second time, I decided it was time to replace them.
The exact same model number didn’t exist any more – apparently they change the numbers every year. I don’t know if what I have matches exactly what I purchased two years ago. I wish they had a chart that allows shoppers to duplicate previous orders more easily.
The sales help wasn’t 100% sure. These are all black. I like that because I can wear them to the office and not attract attention or detract from office clothes.
These shoes are CUTE and let me tell you how I can NEVER find cute shoes for my Husband in a Size 15 Wide! His shoe selection has been SO limited since he hit his teenage years and I FINALLY found a store that not only Carry’s his shoe size but also – has clothes that fit him length wise! SO many normal department stores have a ‘Big and Tall’ section and that has never worked out for us.
It’s 99% for more larger people – which is fine, but we need some 42, 36’s around here! So thankful that I found this store! P. S. He LOVES his new shoes! We’ll be shopping here Often!.
I am an Under Armour devotee. When I found these UA sneakers, it felt as if I had discovered gold! I live in an assisted living center with many other people who have medicinal and health needs. We are like a large family.
Word got out that my room is full of pink. So, these UA shoes were meant to be mine! We get many visitors. People always tell me that I have beautiful sneakers. I know for a fact that these are the most comfortable shoes.
I am a type 2 diabetic. I walk around several blocks to keep fit. It feels as if I were walking on clouds in the sky. I truly am in heaven.
The perfect pair for any foot ailment; from plantar fasciitis to diabetes these sneakers were developed for all-day comfort. The New Balance 928 men’s walking shoe offers industry-leading motion control and superior stability in a variety of widths thanks to the ROLLBAR and Walking Strike Path technologies.
Add to that ABZORB midfoot cushioning, a seamless Phantom Liner and an odor-resistant treatment and you’ve got a shoe that can take you from 9 to 5 to whenever.
Previous to these shoes, I have been wearing the MW813 walking shoe for several years and was disappointed by the poor life and performance of PU-Leather (plastic leather substitute) used for the entire upper of the 813.
I was pleased to find that the MW928 v3 had leather uppers and foot bed style of the well fitting 813 while improving comfort and durability. The 928 v3 is a comfortable shoe and supports well while walking on streets and other paved surfaces.
It felt “broken in” from first use. Seems true to size. Due to the flat sole design I would not recommend it for trail use. It is a nicely styled lace-up, and will work with “business casual” in most cases as an all-day shoe.
Since the uppers are leather they can be kept smart-looking with a little shoe polish, something that doesn’t work with PU-Leather shoes. Soles have reasonable wet grip on moderately smooth surfaces.
Not sure of sole wear since they are new to me. One issue I had with them were the extra long shoe laces they came with. Although many modern synthetic laces stretch with time, these were so long I had to cut 10″ off them to keep the ends from dragging on the ground and tripping myself be stepping on them after my first walk.
It appears that a 44″ lace would be much better. Cost is considerably higher than the MW813, but if they wear better, the higher price will be worth it.
The shoe is attractive and seems to be well made. So far, after about 3 weeks it seems to be wearing well and is comfortable. However the marked sizes are not reliable. I initially got a size 16 x -wide (4E) and that is how it was marked.
The length was ok but I thought a bit wider would be better so I ordered a second shoe in 16 xx-wide (6E) and that was how it was marked. However it is exactly (to within 1 mm) the same width as the 4E, so I didn’t gain any width in going from 4E to 6E.
I am going to keep them both as the fit is close enough and size 16 in anything is almost impossible to find. However if sizing is crucial you should try it on in the store or if ordering online as I did be prepared to return it maybe multiple times.
When 928v3 was unavailable, I wore my old 2 pairs of brown leather 928’s until the leather tore away from the soles and I was forced to go into Brooks size 12 4-E’s as the only alternative for my high-arch/high-instep, very wide feet, requiring medical orthotics.
Years passed and I had to give up hiking. Then, wonder of wonders, New Balance sent me an email and the 928v3 was again available! I ordered 2 pair of size 11 6-E in brown leather. True to size, the 928v3’s fit my orthotics perfectly with plenty of room for conventional lacing.
I’m back to being a happy hiker, and with the good looks of brown leather, these shoes clean easily and polish up for every occasion.

I bought these shoes because I have a lot of issues with my feet. Just had surgery for a bone spur removal on the top of my foot and also have bone spurs on my heals as well as inflamed plantar in the heal area.
I was excited to buy these shoes because of all the positive reviews. It did take a while to break them in. While they are not terrible, they are not what I hoped for. Maybe if I didn’t have so many things wrong with my feet they would be better, but I’m still in search of that comfortable shoe.
These shoes are not horrible by any means. I feel like they could be comfortable without issues. They do provide good heal support. My other problem is that they rub the side of my foot by my toes. I feel like 3 stars isn’t good enough but 4 stars would be too many.
I would probably go with a 3. 5. I think some people would really like them. While they are not my favorite, I do still wear them, just not every day. If you have really wide feet, I would not recommend them.
I’ve struggled with plantar fasciitis for about 4 years now. I actually had surgery 3 years ago to correct it in my left foot. I was resigned to being forced to wear ugly shoes for the rest of my life, but I figured I’d give this shoe a try.
I was not disappointed! I read all the reviews, took the time to break them in, and will definitely be buying another pair when these need to be replaced. The arch support is fantastic. The Achilles support is awesome.
I have more narrow feet, so I was a little concerned about all the comments regarding a wide toe box. It is wide and doesn’t crunch my toes, but not so wide that it looks or feels like clown shoes like Birkenstock sandals look on me.
I can wear this shoe all day and not have any pain in my left foot anymore. They seem to be true to size. I wear and 8. 5 and ordered an 8. 5. They fit my feet perfectly. I would definitely recommend this shoe!.
Have owned these for about a month. The Pros: 1. The heel cushioning system works pretty well as my heel pain is definitely reduced but not eliminated. 2. The toe box is my favorite feature. I have never owned a pair of shoes that didn’t put some kind of pressure on my toes at some point.
With these, I can stand all day long and feel absolutely zero pressure on my forefoot/toes. 3. They look better than I expected. The cons: 1. Have done nothing for my ankle/knee/back pain. 2. I work on sealed concrete all day and the grip on these shoes is non-existent.
I slide all over the place. 3. The insole was surprisingly cheap & flimsy. I replaced it with an upgrade. This surprised me in an “orthotic” shoes. Would I recommend these to others? I don’t think so.
If I bought these again it would be 100% for the zero pressure on my toes. As far as I can tell, they’re really just another pair of sneakers.

Comfortable shoes. Bought these for a family member, at first the size was too big, exchange was fast and easy. They wore the shoes and said these are nice. Then the tie on the shoe with the velcro snapped, I think because they like a tight fit but I called and sent pictures, they immediately sent out a replacement of the lace.
Note there is a hole at the top to run the lace thru and you can also tighten the shoe this way. The velcro was an added piece to make it snug and can be worn without the velcro unless you like that tighter fit.
During the few days he didn’t wear the shoe he went back to his other shoes, I could see the change in the way he walked with the old shoes, after a couple of days he went back to wearing the Ortho shoes.
Right away I can see the comfort he had by the way he walked and he said the Ortho shoes were much better on his knees, feet and back. I would recommend this shoe to everyone for the cushion, comfort and customer service.
Been hurting from Achilles’ tendonitis pain for the past couple of years. It limited my walking time and pace and also painful just doing normal activities. I tried changing sneakers and using heal cushioning to limited success.
I came across the OrthoFeet brand a few years ago when taking my mom to the podiatrist. I was not hurting at that time but the name stuck in my memory so when this flared up decided to give them a try and I am glad I did.
I now can walk the distance and pace like I use to without pain. Though it hasn’t gone away completely but is so much better. These will be my sneakers of choice in the future. One note though, I am a men’s size 12 but needed to order a size 13 which required me to use the supplied innersole inserts for the proper fit.

I love the Reina Runner! I have hip, knee, feet & back problems as well as supination. I have tried so many different brands & style shoes. I first ordered your Boss Runner in a size 8. The fit on that one was not quite right even though I could tell it had awesome support.
Then I ordered the Reina in a 7. 5 Med & it fits great! The support is unbelievable! They have done away with my hip pain & helped with my arthritic knee pain. I’ve raved about this shoe so much that my sister & 2 friends have also purchased the same shoe! Also in returning the Boss Runner shoe the customer service was outstanding! I will definitely buy a second pair of the Reina when I see them on sale!.
I’m really surprised at how nice these shoes are. The quality is very good. These shoes are tough. I work retail and they can take it. I enjoy having the back heel strap velcro tab. Since I have achilles tendonitis in both feet/ankles it’s amazing how I can manage how tight the shoes are.
I do put heel pads in which make the heel straps a plus as well. Other shoes would push my foot out of the shoe with the pads/orthotics. I’m very glad to have found these shoes. I would say the only negative is they are a tiny bit heavy.
I walk a lot at work which makes them a little bothersome but I’d take that any day over the pain.
I have searched for 3 years and bought and returned dozens of shoes that did not support my swollen feet due to poor circulation post injury and neuropathy that plagues. I took a chance, one more time with Apex.
Let me say thank you sincerely for the discount savings! The moment I walked in these shoes, I knew I would not return them. I have the support and the width and the length and in the back of the shoe is a split with velcro to hold the heel in which is giving you the option to widen it if need be.
I did not need it but glad it is there. The arch support is ok but I do have flat feet and usually put in an orthotic which is also an option for me. Honestly, with neuropathy, burning feet and poor strength in my legs, I have finally found the perfect shoe.
Thank you for putting people like us first in design instead of the marketable profit making designs. I believe my thicker socks can do well as I ordered extra wide and long. I recommend to all!.
Introducing our Men’s Trainer, a limited edition slip resistant athletic shoe that combines performance and durability in one amazing shoe. Great for hitting the gym, going on a trail run, or any other leisure activity.
Featuring engineered knit uppers, molded heel counters, and responsive cushioning on the outsole that will provide you with enduring traction on all surfaces.
Bought these for my son who suffers from plantar fasciitis. They have great support and has helped ease the pain and are comfortable. The only issue is the sizing. He is usually a size 10 but these were too large so a size 9.
5 was recommended. I exchange them for the smaller size and still they were larger than he needed. I would suggest sizing a whole size down when purchasing.
I wear these to work daily. I am walking on a concrete surface and moving the entire time, and am diabetic – so durable, well fitting and comfortable shoes are a must. To my dismay, I found that part of the gray/silver support in my right shoe came apart in pieces inside the shoe.
For the money I invested, I feel the quality is lacking.
They looked good on, but my husband didn’t find them comfortable enough. He typically wears a 12. 5/13, ordered these in a 13, and said they were too tight. 13 is the largest size available so we had to return.

I was honestly a little skeptical at first when I first saw the ads for KURU. After checking out the reviews, and looking at the products and their features; I decided to give it a shot. I suffer from flat feet and the fallout of an accident that wrecked my ankle a few years ago, and it’s been a problem looking for shoes that offer both comfort and support for my feet when I am out and about.
“Worst case is that they do nothing for me and I’m out 130 dollars” I thought to myself as I clicked on the complete order link. The next day I received an email on what to expect from the moment I slip my feet into my new KURU’s, “wear them for three hours a day for up to three weeks to get the best fit”.
Two days after the email, the shoes arrived and I was ready with the information to break them in. I can honestly say from the moment I put them on and took my first steps, they were a dream. A little stiff to be sure, but wearing them for the first three hours had already started to make a positive impact on my feet.
It’s only been an increasing positive experience since then. The more I wore them, the better they custom formed and increased the comfort levels. I will only be buying my future shoes from KURU, I am just that impressed with the comfort and ease I have in my daily routines now.
Thank you for inventing such an incredible shoe!!!!.
I bought these shoes after visiting a few running/walking focused websites – these shoes received strong reviews. I walk daily for about an hour (typically 4+ miles). The shoes are holding up well to date – and are fairly comfy and easy to put on – but for $130 I don’t think I’m getting anything that special.
Walking down hills (not the best traction) or in the rain (the water just pours through the mesh) is a challenge that I’ve had more success overcoming with other walking/running shoes. When I have done intervals (walking and then running and then returning to walking), I feel pain and a lack of cushion while running.
Again, fairly comfortable when walking on flat surfaces. I’ll keep searching for that ultimate walking shoe – perhaps even give a different KURU shoe a try.
Bought the shoe about a month ago received it quickly took awhile to get used to it like it said but it was worth it. I have been struggling with plantar fasciitis for 2 years now and could only wear hoka with a custom insert and it would only buy me time to wear in the day for a bit before it began to hurt again.
These shoes have greatly increased the time i can spend on my feet and while not 100% effective for me just yet but the massive improvement worked well enough that I will be purchasing again. I also love how they look good and athletic and can be worn anywhere without question.
The biggest issue is they seem to get dirty very quickly probably also because of it being a lighter color since they were out of the black. I did not want to wash them in washer or dryer at risk of messing up the inserts that mold to your feet so I need a shoe cleaner alternative.
Besides that the shoe is worth a try for people looking for other issues. 25 year old male with plantar fasciitis due to flat feet and so far they are working. I am hoping a rucking military style boot can be made later on and that would help alot!.
Enjoy maximum comfort with the 29th edition of this now legendary running shoe that won’t let you down during training or long days of competition thanks to proven technologies and innovations. To improve stability and responsiveness, FF BLAST damping has been added to the midsole of this version.
This offers a soft and supportive feel with every step. The Gel-Kayano 28 for men has been improved with a range of features. Complete longer distances for overpronators at any time and protect your feet from hard impacts thanks to Asics FlyteFoam Propel cushioning in the midsole.
Enjoy the 2-layer springy SuperSpEVA midsole and the durable mesh upper, which not only adapts to your individual foot shape, but also provides fantastic ventilation for your feet. Your running shoes are rounded off with Space Trusstic technology for good stability with every step.
I’m a very active person regarding sports I’ve never run in Kayano for before until now, i have to say they will be my go-to training shoe and not just for running alone here’s why. I play league table tennis at a decent level and picked up the Kayano by mistake instead of my table tennis training shoes.
So i had no choice but to use them where they were seriously put to the test. The Kayano were absolutely perfect for running but playing table tennis in them was going to be a whole different test. The support my feet received was amazing as if you play table tennis at a good level you are consistently up on your toes and pivoting a lot from side to side.
I was so impressed with the grip and the bounce from pushing of from one Direction to the next which is so needed to be able to get to your next playable shot. The only downside which is a small one in my opinion is the colour scheme of the shoe.
But for me, I much prefer being comfortable over stylishly uncomfortable, looks like my table tennis shoes now have a serious competitor. Initial thoughts on the 29’s are: • Loads of cushioning and support.
• Very responsive toe-off. • Really light, doesn’t feel chunky or heavy. • Large toe box, plenty of room in there.
Over the years I have normally worn Nike training shoes and this was the first time I had tried an Asics pair. First impressions are that they were light and appeared good quality. I am a size 12 with quite wide feet and the fit initially seemed a little tight to get on, but once my foot was in them they felt great, with a snug but not uncomfortable fit/feel.
They supported my feet nicely. I also thought they looked great. I normally run my local country lanes a few times a week of between 3-5k and they felt supportive, light and provided a noticeable increased ‘bounce’ compared to my older Nike Airs especially when running up hills.
Due to the recent dry weather I have only tried them in the dry and they gripped well, but I could not comment on what they would be like in the wet regarding grip or keeping your foot dry! I look forward to many more miles in them and using them for tennis.
Asics claim the shoes are breathable and there are small air holes in the fabric. However, I have had to punch them through using a small instrument to open them up; most of these little holes were not drilled properly in the production process.
My Innov-8 Parkclaw trai l running shoes have a much more breathable mesh if that’s what you’re looking for. The feel of the Asics is also too spongey for my taste and I prefer something a lot firmer.
I have switched to a different insole to stiffen them up. In terms of size, there are no problems with these Asics Gel Kayanos and there is plenty of room and width at the front end. Here, they score much more highly than products which skimp on internal space, such as Adidas.
The GEL-PULSE 13 running shoe offers excellent cushioning and comfort. In this version, the engineered mesh used in the upper is softer and more breathable. The fit around the heel and over the top of the foot has been softened for a better feel that helps feet stay comfortable.
This not only adds to the shoe’s comfort, but also gives the latest GEL-PULSE 13 a cleaner look. Underfoot, the AMPLIFOAM midsole cushioning and our rearfoot GEL technology cushioning system work in tandem, adding softness and helping the shoe absorb more shock in your step.
With its contemporary technologies and styling, the GEL-PULSE 13 shoe helps you to take on whatever the day brings in comfort and style.
I have been suffering from severe plantar fasciitis with a bone spur since late summer 2021. In January, I had also developed 2 stress fractures. I was so worried that I would not be able to walk as the weather warmed up.
I decided to try these shoes on when I read ortholite on the tag. They felt very comfortable, cushioned insole, with arch support for my plantar fasciitis. These shoes are amazing! I am able to walk 4 miles everyday on different walking paths; concrete, gravel, black top, dirt and rock.
My feet ddo not hurt the entire time. I cannot explain it, but even when my feet ache from other shoes, when I put these shoes on, all my pain goes away. They even help my lower back and knee pain. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you give these shoes a try! They have saved my feet and I am able to walk everyday! I am between a 6 and a 6.
5 depending on the shoe. I bought a 6. 5 and absolutely love the fit! I have a medium width to my foot so I didn’t need to buy the wide. I so hope these shoes work as well for you as they do for me!.
Coming from being a regular user of the Novablast as there wasn’t any Goretex version of it, the first few days of walking in this pair of shoe were very tiring and uncomfortable unsurprisingly, as the distinctly reduced level of cushioning was immediately apparent however as the sole has mellowed out a bit, I can comfortably walk for a few kilometers at a go now.
The size while being the same as my Novablast, does fit well length wise though it is much narrower in terms of width but that is not a totally bad thing for a shoe for the cold and wet days however if you are wearing thick socks then it might be uncomfortable.
I have test it during light rains and drizzles, the Goretex upper holds true to its expected purpose so no complaints there. I just wish there were a few more colorways because I am definitely not a fan of this generic black/blue/red design.
By the way, the mid-sole is actually a nice shade of grey rather than white as displayed on the web here.
I picked these sneakers after reading the reviews. When I picked them up I was underwhelmed- they felt cheap and like they had no cushioning. Since it was so inconvenient for me to return them (the store is far and always super busy) my husband recommended I simply run in them because I only paid $15 and I had a $50 gift card from my sister.
I’m glad I listened to him- I have zero issues running now, and they feel like they support me the way I needed them. The other day I put my old sneakers on thinking they would be comfortable and all my old pains returned immediately (adidas).
I was shocked. My podiatrist had recommended that my sneakers be contoured and highly supportive, but I think my adidas was either over the top or wrong in the support I needed, and the ASICS, although lower key, was what my feet and legs needed to run longer and pain free.
If you’re having pain when you run, I’d definitely give these sneakers a try. Do I still believe these sneakers are cheap? No, because of their design. Does the material feel less fancy than the adidas sneaker? Yes, but I 100% prefer the ASIC now for my running and walking needs, maybe I’ll keep adidas as that “cute but uncomfortable sneaker” for outings.
Product details: (men’s US size 9) Surface: Road Forefoot Height: 16mm Heel Height: 26mm Heel Drop: 10 mm Weight: 10. 2oz (appx 290g) Support: Underpronation, Neutral, Cushion: Maximum The GEL-NIMBUS 24 shoe offers advanced impact protection for your distance training.
Creating a softer landing in every step, this shoe is also approx. 20g lighter than the previous version. The upper’s soft engineered mesh and flexible midfoot panel make these shoes more comfortable during long runs.
By moving seamlessly with your foot, they help your stride feel smoother in every step. FF BLAST PLUS cushioning keeps the shoe lightweight while providing a softer feeling underfoot. This material also helps increase the shoe’s rebound properties at the toe-off stage.
Pronation Designed For Underpronation / Neutral Underpronation Foot Type High arches Push Off The pressure is on smaller toes on outside of foot. Considered Injuries Plantar fasciitis, shin splints, ankle strain.
How your foot contacts the ground The outer side of the heel hits the ground at an increased angle with little or no normal pronation, causing a large transmission of shock through the lower leg. Neutral Foot Type Normal size arches Push Off There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
Considered Injuries Less likely due to effective shock absorption, but neutral runners are not immune to injury. How your foot contacts the ground The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.
I have worn Asics Gel Nimbus for many years as my go to walking/athletic shoe. It was a lifesaver for me when I had plantar fasciitis in 2012. I have tried to get a new pair the last few years and the last few iterations just did not work for me.
The cushion had changed and toe box seemed shorter and overall the shoe more narrow. One of my feet measures as a B width and the other a C width so I have been looking at a women’s D shoe. I have had to go up another 1/2 size as the shoes seems to be cut shorter than the older styles.
I bought this pair of Nimbus and chose the mens shoe regular width as it just felt a little better than the women’s D width. What I like: The cushion and arch support even though I think the gel feel is far less than say 3 versions ago.
What I don’t like: The way the tongue is sewn in. Not nearly as soft and comfortable as the loose tongue. I preferred the split cushion where the achilles tendon comes down to the heal. Much more comfortable.
The shoe still feels a bit snug and considering trying the men’s wide to see if the toe box is more comfortable and wish the toe box was a bit taller. I spent a long time at the shoe store trying different brands.
I still think my nimbus gel 18 had the best all round shoe cushion for comfort on the upper as well as the sole. I just get the feeling the shoe has been scaled back or cheapened compared to former versions.
Looking at several other brands but in the end the arch support in this shoe really fits mine the best. Sad to pay 150 + for a shoe and feel like I am making do.
I did a lot of research before buying my Nimbus 23 shoes, with runners at the local harriers and online. I’ve always had problems getting shoes to fit my wide feet and not many shops supply half sizes.
Also I’ve got a lot of miles on the clock and feel it on my knees, shins and feet when sprinting. So I wanted good fit and good shock absorption- research done I chose the N23s. The web site is straight forward and pretty informative in helping you choose the right shoes and set up.
Delivery (from Germany) was fine. Upon opening the box I spotted the size and it was not what I ordered! I tried them on as I thought it was only a size out I might get lucky? Since trying them on I’ve done about 60 miles running and sprinting in them and I totally love them.
No more sore knees/ feet. No blisters or chafing during breaking in period! In fact there was no breaking in period. Turns out I ordered in UK size and of course the shoes arrived in Eu measurement written on the shoes.
I knew what is assumed to be the equivalent and thought they were wrong. Reading some info regards Eu/Uk sizes, turns out they are not directly comparable. Asics had worked out from the info I gave them (wide feet etc) and got it spot on.
Maybe only people who really struggle to get correctly fitting shoes will appreciate what it means to get a 100% fit. It’s actually very painful putting up with something that’s just quite close.
The conclusion of men’s running shoes for plantar fasciitis is that they are an effective means of treating the condition. Plantar fasciitis is a condition that causes pain in the heel and arch of the foot, and is often caused by overuse or repetitive motions.
Wearing a running shoe with good support and cushioning can help to alleviate the pain associated with plantar fasciitis.
