20 Best Luggage With Recessed Wheels (2023 Updated)

I wanted a spinner to replace a two wheel roller. This matches the garment style Samsonite tri fold bag I use sometimes. Just returned from a cruise to Hawaii and it worked well. Survived the airline and cruise line handling of bags.

The tri-fold garment bag has a sleeve to slip over the handle of this bag and it still rolls easily with the added weight. Just a bit top heavy so must be careful on escalators when so stacked. This bag also has a sleeve so can also slip over the handle of larger bag wife uses which is also Samsonite.

This makes it easy for two people to roll four bags, with each roller having a nested bag with sleeve over the handle extended. This bag has the small pocket for a charging brick with charge cord to use with phone/device but that is useless in my estimation.

Lightweight and easier to hoist overhead into bin than previous bag of similar size that was 1. 5 pounds heavier empty.

I purchased a Samsonite in 2019 loved it! Unfortunately, it was destroyed by the airline on my last trip. I ordered a SoLyte DLX Extra Large Expandable Spinner to replace it. It arrived must faster than when the estimated arrival date, which was great, via federal express.

The quality of the material has changed, both interior and exterior. I was disappointed about that, hence the 3-star review. Everything about the bag is great, size wheels and storage compartments.

This is a classic high quality brand with excellent products. For luggage the price/quality ratio is excellent. I have purchased many products from this brand through the years and they literally last forever! Besides the design is remarkable.

I have several old bags and suitcases that I can’t replace because I can’t find a decent design that I like as much. Is an excellent brand and I definitely recommend it.

I was very impressed with this! For $37 (after taxes) I received a pretty good quality little carry-on. The material is strong and seems sturdy enough to hold up for a while. Upon un-boxing, the tag read that the set is actually a $50 value, so you know you’re getting a deal.

The set is VERY lightweight, I think it said 4. 4 lbs on the box. So with most airline restrictions, that gives you about 18 lbs of stuff to pack in. I was surprised at how much I could fit! I packed clothes for a 10 day vacation and three pairs of shoes (clothes rolled strategically) and had room left over for souvenirs.

I also love the little satchel. It’s much bigger than I expected with two outside zippered pockets, one on the front and one on the back. Satchel has a carrying handle, a shoulder strap, and a flap that allows you to slip the satchel over the handle for it to sit on top while you’re rolling around.

In the satchel I was able to pack a book, a separate small purse and wallet to carry on vacation, a pair of shoes, a change of clothes, two skeins of yarn so I could crochet, two phones, my camera, chargers, and my iPod — WOW! In the front zippered pocket I was able to fit my makeup bag, passport, itinerary, and boarding passes without anything getting bent.

Very impressed with this! Checking baggage is overrated unless you’re away for a long time – if this set happens to wear out I wouldn’t mind spending $37 again since it’s literally the perfect size!.

So many good reviews on this affordable luggage, I had to give it a try. I have not bought luggage for years and I just wanted to keep it simple and compact. It is soft sided and im using for weekend and road trips only, not sure if this would hold up for flight use.

The size of the larger bag is roomy with expansion, extra pockets. The smaller “carry on” is perfect for all my toiletries and handy for undies and socks. It rolls perfectly with the pull out handle.

Both bags have soft handles and the smaller has a strap. The smaller bag sits on top the of the larger and I use the shoulder strap to tie it to the bigger case which makes it really secure. The floral design was my favorite but many cute choices! Definately a classy upgrade from my roller duffle bag! I reccomend.

With all the problems with lost luggage on airline these days, I wanted a smaller carry on bag. Its seem this fits my need. I needed something smaller the my regular 21 inch carry on bag because it’s a short trip (4 days).

Prayerfully this will hold up for my short travels. I’ll update after my travels.

This suite case is well made and the color is perfect! Purchasing from Nordstrom Rack online was a great experience. The item purchased was appropriately advertised and I was extremely pleased with the item.

I absolutely recommend this particular piece of luggage as well as using this site to purchase future items.

The color looks beautiful and the material is tough (although the sides are not extremely rigid). You can very easily pack for 2 weeks with this spinner. The wheels glide on smooth surfaces (slightly more difficult on carpet – but that’s reasonably understandable).

The next size down (I think it’s 24″ or 25″) would suffice for most people on a 2 week excursion, but I have a special pillow, sheets and other items that I carry when I travel, so I switched to this size, instead of carrying another bag for all my paraphernalia.

One issue I had is that the zipper on the large inside pouch broke, the second time I used the bag. I don’t overstuff the sections in the suitcase, so that should not have happened. I also feel that the telescoping metal handle on top could be a little thicker.

I haven’t had any indication that it would break, but when the suitcase is heavy, I feel safer using the other handles to pull the suitcase.

I love the color and size of expandable piece of luggage; however the handle broke the first time I used it. The handle worked fine on the way to the airport but once I got to the airport the handle would not expand upward and was locked/ jammed.

The handle Doesn’t seem sturdy enough for the size of the luggage piece.

I have just used this case for one transatlantic trip and two additional European segments and it’s held up well with a full load (50 pounds). There are already 2 small dents at the corners and small scratched, but no cracking.

The design and pattern on the shell hides these dings better than my previous Rimowa cases (which ultimately cracked). This shell seems less rigid. The color (blue teal) is great to spot on the carousel without being “too loud” for business travel.

The inner design with one side netted and the other side with elastic bands can be tricky when opening to ensure that everything doesn’t spill out, but I personally like this set up best to seperate the two sides.

The wheels have overall been fantastic rolling over cobblestone and curbs with easy. It doesn’t seem to glide as easily when you want it to roll parallel to you in airports, but that may be due to the size or my heavy load? Overall, as a frequent travel who has burned through virtually every high end brand of suitcase, I am delighted.

It’s the perfect balance between light weight and sturdiness. The Samonsite quality is evident and I expect this suitcase to last me quite a while! I am glad I purchased it and would buy again. 4 star rating is simply to reflect the dings and rolling details mentioned above.

I bought the black set 3 years ago to replace a cheap set I bought from an online retailer that didn’t last but maybe a year. I haven’t had any issues with this set at all. This was my first quality hard side luggage set and it has endured several cruises and trips around the US.

I can’t say anything bad about the set and can’t say enough good thing about it. I have been recommending the set to everyone I know. The thing is to catch it on sale. I purchased mine for around $200.

Its listed at over $700 now. Since getting the set I’ve purchased the Carrier GSD Backpack which I also love. I’m definitely happy with my purchases and will shop with them again in the future.

I’ve had this since my escape from the US in 2020. WFH or work from the beach in Barbados? I’ve traveled on so many flights and have stayed at so many hotels that I’ve forgotten some. This has lasted throughout all the trips, throws and bangs that airlines give it.

It has earned some scratches here and there, but the handle, zipper and lock are all in top condition. I’m surprised others have had issues with this. As for me my only “complaint” would be that at almost 11 lbs it cuts in to the weight limit of what I can pack.

But it’s a hard case, so that’s the trade off.

Several years ago my husband and I bought all three sizes of this suitcase for 2 weeks in Italy. At the time we bought 2 mediums thinking they’d be the best size for us. Well, we love the suitcases and in the years since Italy, have found ourselves often both needing the carry-on size.

So, we just bought a second carry-on size. Very happy that they were still making them! They glide and spin smoothly, you can sit your personal item/purse on top easily, and the inside is designed well.

Oh, and they can be nested for storage in the garage. All around great.

I ordered the Omni PC Large Spinner on-line from Samsonite and received it promptly within 4 business days. The color is great and the smoothness of the casters is excellent. I used the bag the following week on a 2 week trip and was impressed with the stability of how the bag rolled as well as the very light weight.

The only drawback is that there is no luggage tag or integrated tag holder in the design. I have never purchased a piece of luggage, in the past, that did not come with a good quality (if not matching) identification tag or some small compartments to hold an identification label.

I recently took my first trip with this lovely piece of luggage! Mine is a beautiful blue ish color that stands out when we are all anxiously waiting around the luggage carousel. I was able to pack for a 8 day trip that included gym clothes, dresses, and everyday clothes.

As well as all of our PPE and other daily essentials of getting ready. It has a divider on one side that zips shut and makes it easy to pack it full to the brim. The other side a securing straps. It also has a security system on the side that includes a number code, I was too nervous to use it on my first trip in case I forgot how to do it! Would definitely recommend based on this one trip! A travel buddy has had hers for years and it still is in fantastic condition!! The exact piece I have is ZIPLITE 4.

I absolutely love it!! I needed a larger suitcase that would fit everything without having to take a carry on and it worked perfectly! I received many compliments about the color, a beautiful shiny burgundy.

We purchased this set for our son last Christmas (Dec 2020). It is not even a year old and has been used very little. The zipper has detached from the suitcase making it unusable. Tried to start a warranty claim and we are responsible for shipping costs.

Very poor customer service!! Especially for a name brand and a very expensive set!.

I purchased this awesome set of luggage for my daughter to take on our trip to Europe. I made the investment knowing she will need the set for college. I own the same set myself and have traveled for years and for miles with it.

It has never failed me, runs wheels r smooth, performs extremely well thru the airport and looks great after many years and miles of use. She loves her set. I highly recommend it!.

The luggage is very nice and made it through our vacation with standard dings and scratches. We try to get around 7 years out of our luggage and we travel at lease twice a year. My main complaint that I didn’t realize was important is not having a zippered section that divides both sides once open.

(This has a strap system on one side and nothing on the other. )our last luggage had that and now we miss it. That being said it rolls smoothly and is definitely tough. However on my next purchase I will definitely look for that feature.

It’s just very difficult when things keep pouring out anytime it’s opened…. again good luggage just wish it had that feature like other luggage we had.

Every year in January my husband and I go out of the country for a week-10 days. We used to have an old suitcase that his parents handed down to us and it was not convenient or easy to haul through the airports and usually extremely hot conditions once we arrived to our destination country.

FINALLY, I was able to convince my husband that we needed new luggage. Samsonite is by far the best luggage we could have picked. We have had our new set for about 10 years and it works looks and handles like brand new.

Definitely recommend and if I may add the side load and swivel wheels are fantastic.

I think these suitcases are worth every cent you will spend on them. I have traved twice this month and they are awesome. I purchased one at Macys and loved it so much i purchased a set at BJ’s. I got the hard shell and it is so durable, unlike fabric.

The spinning wheels make it so easy to maneuver. It’s very spacious inside because its a bit more square than a standard one. The zipper are made w/ really good hardware, heavy duty and the combination lock is built in to the suitcase.

I highly recommend getting at least one.

Looks: It’s cute as a button! I like the color (the blue one) and it has an easily identifiable and pleasant design/aesthetic. Functionality: Extremely functional. The multi-directional wheels make it easy to transport, the telescoping handle is great for people with different heights to use it, and it’s lightweight.

The sheer number of separate compartments in this case is honestly astonishing, and will make for organizing your luggage very easy. The battery + charging port is a clever bit of design and will let me charge up my phone, kindle, gaming systems, etc.

I own other Ricardo luggage and was very disappointed with this Mojave carry on. It was smaller than the one I already own and the style in person was not very attractive. I also purchased the check in size.

That too was disappointing as in had no locking system by the handle. I sent both pieces back. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs which is very expensive!! My bad as I should have checked the return policy! Probably will not order from Ricardo again because of their return policy!.

I love this piece of luggage! I travelled all throughout Europe with it. It’s cute and so easy to roll. Makes traveling a breeze! I would definitely recommend Ricardo products to anyone because it is high quality and very convenient.

My trip put my bags through it all, but the Mojave medium check-in survived it all and still works like brand new!.

The wheels on this seem much more heavy duty than on some other brands of luggage I’ve tried. Although the suitcase itself is pretty small, it’s definitely a carry on and would only fit MAYBE a weekend worth of stuff for one person, it does have an extender to make it about 2” wider.

The way it glides across the floor feels flawless. The TSA approved combo lock is really neat. I actually had a hard time opening the suitcase because it was locked. It did not come with instructions, but how to unlock it wasn’t clear at all.

But it’s a neat concept; the zipper pulls lock into the TSA approved locking mechanism. Inside the suitcase it tells you how to change the lock combo number (which is set at 0000 to start). To open it, you just push the circle button thing TOWARDS the zipper pulls, when the lock is set at the password.

It would have saved me about 10 minutes had there been instructions on how to unlock the suitcase right out of the box, but that’s my own deficit. This suitcase seems to be made of quality materials and the most important part, the WHEELS, seems to be much more heavy duty than other pieces of luggage!.

Amazingly light, like something you won’t believe. When the box came I couldn’t believe there was luggage inside it’s that light. However even though it’s light its great quality and great construction from the wheels to the zippers, handles and hard case everything is great quality and hopefully will last a long time.

Inside has enough room for a few days trip and also has expandable zippers inside the case in case you need a little extra room. The left side has a zippered cover and the right side has cross straps to keep your clothing in place.

This suitcase also has extra features like the USB port on the outside. To use that you can put a USB charger inside the luggage and you will be able to charge your phone or other devices on the go. It also includes standard TSA approved combo Luck.

Extendable handle is great, wheels glide perfectly and overall I highly recommend this luggage especially if looking for something lighter than all the others.

Beautiful set of luggage which I hope will travel thousands of miles with me around the world. It seems sturdy, yet looks real classy! The casters move beautifully and should move stopping the airports quickly and quietly.

I ordered this for my daughter who is in college. She travels, and needs a nice piece for her to carry-on. She loved the black with gold detail, and the inside is nicely laid out and has compartments for ease of organizing.

I wish I would have boughten her the set!.

This is a convenient travel bag that stows easily under airplanes seats. It is a unique color that makes it easy to find in a sea of luggage. It has a lot of compartments and a laptop space which makes it an ideal bag for a business trip or just for a weekend getaway.

I wanted to love this pack, I travel for business and my wife has a pack with a detachable day pack. I, being the habitual 1up’r, wanted one with a little more room and a more comfortable day pack. On paper this pack was the one.

In real life it was not. The day pack was good. But the ergonomics of the straps and the ability to access things was horrific. When trying to fully access the pack you must always detach various clips, no matter if it is fully together or just the day pack alone.

I will say that it seems to be well made and I would speculate it is durable, I will never know. The frustration with this pack is in-excusable, stay away, dont give it a chance. If you do, order something else along with it.

I ended up with a Thule Landmark and love it.

The backpack is very well designed, the place of the pockets and the zippers are very convenient. It’s a good backpack if you’re not going to fill it to maximum capacity. The only flaw is that it’s a bit heavy to carry when attaching the two bags together on your back.

So if you don’t put too many stuff in both bags, it won’t look too big to carry on your back. But like that maybe some other 65l bags may be more spacious. Otherwise, if you really stuff both bags, you’ll have to carry them separately.

Amd the strap for the bag to carry on your shoulder is not very comfortable.

but it’s not well-executed. I bought this bag for an extended-duration, multi-flight work trip. This trip required me to pack two large checked bags, have a day pack while there, and pack enough stuff in my carry-on to be able to report to duty if my luggage was delayed.

In theory, the Ozone Duplex was the perfect bag- hands-free for handling luggage, small enough daypack to be manageable at work, and big enough carry-on for boots, a full change of clothes, and all my toiletries, meds, etc.

However, once it was fully-loaded, some critical flaws exposed themselves. The good: Hands-free through multiple airports; Durable and high quality- it still looks new, 10,000 miles later. The bad: -The frame necessary to carry both the backpack and carry-on means that the backpack isn’t very “squishable” under plane seats, no matter how empty it is.

-Access to the main compartment of the backpack is on the back, adjacent to the straps. The load lifters have to be disconnected every time you access the main compartment. -The shape of the backpack that is necessary to accomodate the carry-on means that it packs oddly and things tend to sink to the bottom.

The main compartment needs to be opened halfway or better to access the contents, making them prone to spilling -When connected, the weight is far away from your core, making it feel heavier than it is.

-Attaching the carry-on is about impossible if the backpack is full. The bulk of the backpack volume is near the bottom, which only exacerbates the problem. In hindsight, I should have bought a Fairview 40 and packed a small backpack (think REI Flash 18) inside it or inside my checked bag.

Quite a bit cheaper and less hassle. I appreciate that Osprey’s designers have tackled this travel challenge, but this is the first Osprey product to disappoint me. REI, can I return it?.

this is the best of all Kipling Carry on luggages. This one is separated with an internal zippered compartment for one half of the case, and the other with straps. Also a good amount of zipper compartments for great organization.

Very lightweight and a lot of clothes, a few shoes and toiletries can fit nicely into this small carry on. I only use Kipling as they’re well made, durable and withstands baggage handling beatings when checked in.

This suitcase is the perfect cabin luggage. I usually travel for 2 to 5 days business trips from time to time, and this luggage makes my travel easy. I love that it is lightweight so I can pack more.

The pockets, the locks and the wheels are just awesome. Will buy the next size to partner with this one. :).

Really love this luggage. It’s very spacious and I love the separate area for the shoes because it protects them from getting squashed and it has an outside zipper too that’s not too big but perfect for towels or coats or just some extra clothes if you want.

I’ve used it for several months now and no complaints.

I loved my previous Zoomlite cabin bag which served me well for many many years. It had been a brilliant travel companion helping me skip baggage queues and travel comfortably around Europe with just carry on for 6 weeks.

When it finally died and I felt the weight of other cabins bags (which were up to half the carry on allowance) it was a no brainer to buy another Zoomlite. It was simple to order, quick to arrive and is a prettier version of my beloved old bag.

As usual the service from Zoomlite was absolutely great, however I was very disappointed with the product as the online advertising was misleading, albeit unintentionally. The dimensions given included the wheels and handle, but when I bought the suitcase this was not mentioned on the website.

Because of this the case was substantially smaller than I expected and not what I wanted, so I decided to return the case. Zoomlite’s return service was very easy. The specifications on the website have now been altered to reflect this, which is helpful.

Perhaps it would be useful to adjust the specifications further, by adding the internal dimensions of the case (and of the other cases too). However the product itself was of a good quality and when I receive the refund I will certainly be purchasing the larger size suitcase from your site.

I have no hesitation in recommending this product (even though it didn’t suit my needs), or others from your company.

I have used the 60cm bag on 4 trips now and am very happy with this bag. I love, love, love the gorgeous teal colour. The bag glides along so easily, so is a dream to handle. Coupled with a set of packing cubes, the volume is great, and I can easily fit what I need for a one week business trip with room to spare.

I have a couple of longer trips coming up with different climates, so am going to also purchase the larger 70cm bag too. I think these suitcases are amazing value for the quality.

Love my new Maxlite® Air Carry-On Expandable Hardside Spinner. It’s smaller then the bag I usually carry (I have always wanted to use the biggest carry on bag possible, just because I have always thought I’d need the extra room), but it has no problem holding everything I need to take with me on a 5 day business trip – workout clothes, extra shoes, etc etc.

It rolls super easy, is amazingly light weight, and, is durable enough to “check” (which I normally never do because the bags get beat to crap). I really like that the two halves of the bag have zipper panels to help contain the contents.

Nothing worse then opening up the bag, only to have it’s contents empty out onto the floor because you opened it upside down. I also like how the handle has a few more height adjustment points then my previous bag.

This has allowed me to perfectly dial in the height when walking the bag upright or pulling it on two wheels for a quicker walk through the terminal, or, if I have an additional bag or my backpack riding on the handle.

So far I’ve taken this on 3 trips this month, and it’s already packed for it’s 4th. PS – love the sine / cosine wave exterior styling. All of my other bags are ballistic nylon so this is a nice change of pace.

At first glance, this is a large bag. I typically use a smaller case for 7-10 days but for bulkier items I might need to size up to this bag. Outside: material is very lightweight, large sturdy zippers, extra bumpers on the long side act as feet.

Different zipper pulls make it easy to distinguish between opening and expanding the case. Color is black, with a low sheen and modern appearance. Inside: both sides of the clamshell are contained with a zippered dividing section – I wish every bag had this (my only complaint with my current Travelpro carryon)! Your stuff doesn’t spill out when the bag opens.

If this also had tie down or compression straps inside each zippered side compartment, it would be perfect and would help secure the contents if the bag is not packed to ultimate capacity. Good pocket storage on the divider but a gusset to make the pocket more three dimensional would be preferred.

Have not used this to travel yet (too large for shorter trips) but expect good things when I do! It may prove to be too heavy for me to lift when fully packed and if given a choice, I would probably choose the medium size bag for more versatility.

I love the size of this suitcase and the inside, with the two zipper-covered sides was exactly what I wanted but the handles are simply terrible. The two handles on the case are so tight that they are almost completely useless (I tried putting a book under the handles for a few days to stretch them, it didn’t work).

And why isn’t there a handle on the bottom of the case to make lifting the whole case easier? (Of course that one would also be too tight to use so I guess it doesn’t matter. ). I know that baggage handlers and others are going to use the wheel handle to lift the case since the other handles are useless which will inevitably mean that the wheel handle will break.

One corner of the case was dented in the first time I used the case! I might been able to pound it out and therefore might have kept it if not for the handles. I will be returning it. Very disappointed because the inside of the case is great! I have had other Travelpro soft-sided cases that I really like but wanted a hard shell case this time.

I guess I need to look elsewhere.

Must have for any Mom traveling with kids. Had to pull four pcs from long term parking and the pulling strap worked beautifully. I put all the back packs on the connect luggage. Absolutely love it! I do hope they add the pulling connectors to the carry-on.

I could totally see traveling with just carry-on for shorter trips.

Bought this on my way back to Dubai. Rolls so well when connected. Super easy to use for family travel. I got stopped twice and asked where I got it. Turns out you can get it in Dubai, but Target has a better price.

I bought this in August for an Amtrak vacation. I checked in Chicago and by the time I saw it in Montana it was crushed and scratched. The one side was pushed into the other so I had to force it back out to unzip it.

The scars and scratches were very bad. I had never had hard sided luggage and have used soft sided for years without any damage. I went through Ricardo customer service and sent photos and explicit information about the luggage after one trip.

I even said that if it was the nature of the beast, perhaps they could let me know if there is a way to rub out the scratches and “brush burns” all over the sides. They were polite and responsive but offered no help regarding the damage.

I was sorry that the bag did not wear well because my intention was to buy the smaller one for shorter trips if I like it. I loved the design and color but the suitcase looks like it has been used many times and it is new.

I am done!.

I bought this for a trip last month to Florida. I was concerned at first, because even though the product shipped, I was not verified and had no way of track. I emailed the company, and they were excellent at getting back to me immediately and giving me the tracking number.

The suitcase arrived earlier than expected, which was a definite plus. The design and color are positively gorgeous, but do not hold up so well with the way checked luggage is handled. Getting such a light color, I expected something like that though, so I can’t complain too much.

The suitcase protected my glass makeup bottles, beauty electronics, shoes and other things I usually get nervous about when flying. I definitely want to get the carry on version next, so I can make it a set for when I travel next.

I’m absolutely in love with my purchase!.

Very cute design. I love the split pockets inside for organization. I’ve only used it once so far but it held almost as much as my old larger sized suitcase, so it’s very spacious. The zippers seem good quality, however I can see one flaw where 2 zipper teeth are bent.

I’m hoping it doesn’t end up rendering the zipper ineffective, but so far it still zips up fine. If you’re an overpacker and need lots of space, this will be a good choice.

I waited a bit before posting a review because I wanted to give our new carry-on a good work through so I could identify the positives and negatives. We’ve now used our Mono Carry-On Pro Plus for 4 trips on United, American and Southwest Airlines with absolutely zero problems getting it onboard as well as getting it to fit easily in the overhead compartments.

My husband used it for a 4 day trip, and I’ve used it for a 4 day, a 5 day and a 6 day trip with no troubles packing everything we needed. I bought this with the packing cube set which I highly recommend to maximize your options.

Note: Both of us have lived overseas and are experienced travelers (40+ countries). I’ve been extremely happy with my previous carry-on, a Zuca Pro-travel, but there are times when I wanted something just a bit bigger and more protective of electronics.

After a great deal of research, I chose the Monos Pro-Plus because I wanted something with great reviews, as large as I could legally get on a plane; something that rolled well and packed well; and something that could handle a laptop safely.

Additionally, it needed to be comfortable pulling/walking for my nearly 6 foot frame as well as my husband’s 6’4″ height. This suitcase does all of those jobs very well. Packing is easy and intuitive, especially with the use of the optional packing cubes.

Space is well utilized, although the compartment behind the shirt board is tiny, so keep that in mind. I have used that oddly sized space to hold dirty laundry, my toiletry bag, a pair of sneakers and my pillow (on different trips).

As with any good packing job, choose mix and match clothing in neutrals, bring things that can be hand washed and drip dried to extend your travel time window, use a few good accessories to change out your look and roll your clothing items.

I try to bring only the shoes that I wear on the plane. I have packed a second pair for hiking or dressier occasions, but purposely chose those that pack small. The laptop compartment is a game changer.

It holds my 13″ MacBook Air plus my iPad Pro, Apple pencil, itineraries, charging cables and small charging blocks. Best yet, it takes seconds to unload your electronics for getting through TSA or providing quick access in an airport or on the plane.

As noted by others, my suitcase picked up a bit of markings in transit, but they easily buffed out with the use of the magic eraser included with purchase.

I ordered this one for my son for the sole purpose to the opening in the front, he carries his iPad and I thought this would be much easier when we travel to just slide it in there and have easy access.

Upon reading all the other reviews regarding if it was really worth it, some say it wasn’t while others say it was, I decided to go ahead and order it. When I received it, I. must say it looked sharp but did notice it was slightly smaller than my Carry-On Plus.

I put his iPad in to see how it fit and it was great, for him I think the Carry-On Plus will be fine as a carry on but I would have preferred a little more room. If I would have ordered it again, I would have stuck with the Carry-On Plus and just have him put his iPad in a Backpack.

As far as color, I choose the Black. One thing I noticed about Monos, the colors are really off then what is pictured. I have the Terracotta which is really nice , (I cancelled a previous order of the Storm Grey when I saw reviews of the actual color) On my previous travels, I checked my terracotta Carry On Plus since the airline offerered and my bag was pretty heavy so I said why not but I regretted it for 2 reasons.

1. I had to carry my Metro Duffel without the Carry On Plus in Atlanta Airport which was a pain, I loved how it glided sitting on top of my luggage before I checked it in, without the luggage I struggled switching arms to get comfortable, not fun especially in ATL.

2. I got so many black marks all over it due to baggage handling which made me sad, my pretty suitcase looked like it went through the ringer. I don’t blame Monos for this, this is what happens with checked luggage thankfully, after 45 minutes of scrubbing off with the eraser Monos provided it all came off which made me happy but I vow never to check it in again, its too pretty to get so messed up, that is why for my son I choose classic black, you won’t see the marks when you check in.

When I purchase the larger Mono suitcases in the future, I will get black just so it won’t see the markings so bad. All and all Monos is wonderful! The customer service is fantastic, they answer your questions promptly and always have a good vibe attitude and the luggage is top notch! As far as the Carry-On Pro Plus, you can’t go wrong with it, the front feature is a plus but if you would like a little more room in the carry on go for the Carry-On Plus.

I ordered the carry-on pro plus along with the large checked bag and after a few months of things being backed up for them (weather issues, not their fault) I finally received both luggage pieces. They didn’t get here at the same time, I think it was about a month apart, but that was fine as I at least was able to get the one sooner instead of having to wait.

They were shipped beautifully! I was so impressed with the little accessories- luggage tag, magic eraser for buffing, storage bags, and the canvas bag the suitcase itself was inside of. I immediately started searching the rest of their website to see what else I could get but ultimately decided to hold off.

Since then I’ve traveled a handful of times and every single time I have to scrub at the suitcases. I’m not sure if it’s because of the blue I ordered my luggage in or what, but even the carry on gets so blatantly scuffed up by the smallest of things.

I will say, I’ve mostly been able to clean off the white scuffs that end up all over it, but the fact I have to do it every time due to how obvious the scuffing is has become increasingly annoying. I’m also slightly concerned because the carry on has a few scratches on it already that are more noticeable than I would like, and it happened the first or second time I used it.

Overall- aesthetically when they first arrive, they’re beautiful suitcases, and I love that when receiving them they feel very luxurious and like a real treat to yourself. However, the beauty and luxury feeling quickly fades when the material quickly scuffs and scratches with minimal use to it.

I have not had any actual functional issues with it, although I think the wheels don’t feel as smooth as they did already but they might just need to be cleaned. It sucks having anything bad to say with how much I love the concept and how excited I was, but something with the material they use I don’t think is right.

I travel a lot for work so I need a bag that can with stand heavy abuse by the airlines. I have only used this bag on one trip so far. It will NOT fit into a standard sized overhead cabin luggage bin, do not even try.

The bottom of the bag is much too deep and the width is too much to fit. The bag itself is very light which is really nice. It seems very spacious inside as I have much more room with my standard quantity on travel clothes.

I like the pockets and if the pockets are not needed, the “inside” part of the pockets rolls up neatly into the bag itself. I wish it had a key lanyard inside it. The shoe bag is very well done as it also acts as a barrier to keep clothing from moving around.

The only downside I can think of is that the exterior material will scuff easily and show wear with heavy use.

I bought the 130L Wheelie this year to replace a Samsonite that had serviced me for 15+ years. I won’t be surprised if this MR doesn’t outlast the Samsonite. It’s built like a tank, yet still very functional.

The biggest luggage I’ve used in the past had a maximum of 80-90L, so this one has been quite the upgrade. It can fit so much – there’s always open space somewhere because I can’t find enough to pack into it.

Even when it’s full and pushing 40kgs+, it still handles very smoothly. It feels virtually indestructible. My criticisms will be limited to the following: -For clearly being check-in luggage, there’s no option to lock the Wheelie from thieving hands.

I had to purchase a separate TSA lock and lock the zipper rings together. -The size is a bit awkward if it is not fully packed. The bottom 1/3 of the Wheelie(above the shoe-pocket but below the front zipper) is made of reinforced material that doesn’t bend, so essentially the shape/dimension doesn’t change.

However above this 1/3 it’s only the canvas fabric and whatever open air inside of the luggage that makes the shape. So if you’re not packed to the brim, you’ll have a strange upside-down axe-shaped Wheelie.

That said it’s still an awesome roller and I am considering to purchase the 40L additionally, for carry-on. The look is also very sleak (when not axe-shaped).

So I picked up the 130 wheeling looking for a bag that was slightly larger than my current suitcase and so far I have been very happy and think this bag will hold up for the long hall. I travel full time for work and pair this with my monster as a carry on.

I have to carry bedding with me so it takes up a bunch of room in my checked bag. I am able to fit everything I need in this bag and probably over pack a bit. The boot compartment is easily big enough for my size 13 boots with room to spare.

The compression panel adds a nice bit of organization and the pockets on the lid area are great as well. Even though it’s black I am easily able to differentiate my bag from others at the airport.
