20 Best Low Calorie Bbq Sauce (2023 Updated)

My eyes saw no sodium and I was sold. I failed to notice the no sugar (calorie). Just like I have grown used to the no sodium flavors, I am not used to the artificial sugar flavors. This tastes like liquid smoke and surculose mixed together.

I couldn’t eat it. But I will try to mix it in with other sauces and see if I can get used to it.

There is no good reason why consumers need to consume 400mgs of sodium in on table spoon of barbeque sauce. That’s why I’ve fallen in love with the Taste brand. Finally, a zero sodium zero sugar barbeque sauce.

What more could a health conscience consumer want?.

I was SHOCKED at how delicious every G Hughes Product is. every single thing I’ve tried so far has been absolutely the BEST PERIOD! BBQ Sauces – ‘Honey’; Dipping Sauces – ‘Yum Yum’, ‘Famous Cluckin’ which taste just like the famous Chicken Fast Food; ‘Honey Mustard’ that could easily be a salad dressing; good ‘Ketchup’; Marinades – ‘Teriyaki Marinade’ is THE BEST.

and I’ve been looking for a great store bought Teriyaki for years and years that has good thickness and tastes as good. G Hughes HAS IT!!! And they are SUGAR FREE. I almost fell over when I was doing my own taste tests! ha ha 0:-) So these are THE BEST if they had sugar or not.

Seriously and especially for those that are looking or NEEDING to CUT Sugar without sacrificing taste. My One Caveat is. that ALL the G Hughes products contain the artificial sweetener Sucralose (basically Splenda), but at least it’s the last ingredient on the labels that I’ve read so far.

Yet, if I had a choice I’d much rather they use natural sweeteners like Allulose.

OMG, OMG this is the absolute best tasting bbq sauce. Ok let’s start off with the sugar content which is non existent. Next let’s start off with the taste – yummy. , robust, decadent, sweet, spicy. I mean it’s a flavor party in my mouth! I use it on meat including lamb champs, steaks, I use in on veggies, or even to dip raw veggies in.

I don’t always like sugar free sauces but this one is the unicorn of sauces. I will definitely try the other flavors.

This is the first time I’ve tried this barbecue sauce and it is absolutely delicious! It tastes like it’s been slow roasted with barbecue flavor galore and the sweet taste of honey. I used it on chicken thighs this evening and it was absolutely scrumptious.

Perfectly sticky sweet, it made the chicken fall off the bone and it was finger licking good. I definitely recommend it. Very affordable and found at most grocery stores.

If you like BBQ sauce on the sweeter side, this is it! Yes, it has the typical ingredients that you would find in a sweet BBQ sauce such as sugar, brown sugar, honey, and molasses. But I saw that it also has raisin paste and orange juice! Plus the necessary liquid smoke.

This stuff is delicious! My daughter found it at Kroger so we had to try it and man I am impressed. Non GMO and simple ingredients. The best sauce I’ve had in years. Slightly pricey but not to expensive.

This is hands down my favorite BBQ sauce. It’s not overly sweet or smoky like some other’s. Best use, in my opinion, is to make a bbq shrimp salad. It incorporates all of the flavors of summer into one dish.

The best rig sauce on the market. Great taste and thick. After cooking my ribs for over 5 hours I will brush on a heavy layer and broil for 5 minutes. I love the color, texture and taste.

We just bought our first bottle of the Gold Barbeque Sauce. OMG we are in love with this stuff. We usually pour a little bit to dip stuff in. We grilled ribs over the weekend and I thought we were out of the sauce.

I scrounged in my cabinets and found this bottle of sauce I had bought the week before. My gosh! We were pouring it over the ribs on our plate. I then was “tasting” it with a tablespoon. My husband laughed at me and said, “you really like that stuff don’t you?” YES!!! Thank you for making such a wonderful product.

Was at the local grocery store looking for my usual BBQ sauce for some pulled pork I was going to make for work. I always glance over the other sauces on my way to grabbing the go to sauce, the word Carolina caught my eye, because I love Carolina style sauces.

I decided I’m going to buy the Lillie’s and my usual. One taste of the Lillie’s tomato base Carolina sauce was all it took. The usual went in the pantry and Lillie’s was used for the pulled pork. The pork turned out amazing and everyone loved the flavor, saying it was my best batch yet.

That night I ordered right from Lillie’s website, added 2 new flavors to try and they are just as amazing!!.

While shopping at Fresh Market here in Florida, I just happened to notice the label colors and saw “ENC. ” It was a definite purchase! My family originated in Wilson NC and surrounding area. We had pig pickings every Thanksgiving/Christmas and uncle Bill use to make killer homemade BBQ sauce in mason jars.

You could see the red pepper flakes floating in the sauce. I got so excited seeing same in this sauce jar! Couldn’t wait to try it out. Y’all!! Lillie’s is the BEST ENC bbq sauce! And very reminisent of uncle Bill’s sauce.

This steak sauce did the job of adding a unique flavor to my dinner. However, it was neither outstanding or bad. It was just fine. I wouldn’t be in a hurry to tell anyone about it because it didn’t provide me with anything that knocked my socks off.

I used it in combination with lentil pasta and chicken. I used it in place of my normal BBQ sauce. It was thinner than my BBQ sauce, but I suppose that it was more similar in texture to A-1 sauce, which is a closer comparison in taste and concept.

It worked just fine in adding a little tang and spice to my dinner. What I like most are the clean ingredients. However, since I also look for BBQ sauce with clean ingredients, the clean ingredients of this steak sauce weren’t enough to sway me to switch or even add it to my rotation of sauces.

I probably wouldn’t purchase it again due to increased cost over my normal options and simple preference. I would recommend it only if someone came to me asking for an option for a clean-ingredient sauce that they could use to spice up their meals.

I’m always on the lookout for healthy condiment alternatives, so I was excited when I came across this steak sauce. It’s so user-friendly: vegetarian, paleo, keto, and whole 30 compliant. It’s also only 10 calories per tablespoon serving! You can’t find that with the “other” steak sauces.

But how does it taste in comparison? Well, the texture is probably its only downfall. It’s way more liquidy than a traditional steak sauce, but that didn’t really bother me. Taste wise, it doesn’t taste exactly like your traditional steak sauce, but I loved the flavor nonetheless.

It tastes a bit more zingy than other sauces, almost like a hot pepper sauce with a touch of steak sauce. I used it not only on my steak, but also on my potato. And I may have dipped my broccoli in the sauce as well.

I would definitely recommend this sauce to anyone. I think it is good as a stand alone sauce, not just a “good for a keto/whole 30/paleo sauce”.

If you are looking for a sugar free BBQ sauce with no artificial sweeteners, this is a great option. It isnt as sweet as normal BBQ sauce, but after a month of using it, I love it. It took some getting used to but I am now hooked.

I’ve avoided the Sweet Baby Ray’s (SBR) sauces for some time now due to high fructose corn syrup being used, much less as the first ingredient. Finally broke down a few weeks ago while trying to find sauces that just used sugar and got the SBR honey BBQ sauce, the kind with the corn syrup.

Just the smell was overwhelmingly syrupy sweet and the flavor was as well and I returned it. I don’t know how I ran across this no sugar added variety, but I gave it a shot due to the name and sales pitch at their product site.

This is great stuff if you’re looking to have a healthier diet, whether that means keto, just trying to lower your sugar intake, or if you are diabetic. It tastes great and lives up to the sales pitch (yes, I’ve tried other no-sugar added varieties and, bleh).

My only quibble is that it is a little higher in sodium than other BBQ sauces and could probably back off that a bit and the flavor would still be great. I’m guessing SBR has deliberately tried to avoid cutting into their best-selling corn syrup sauce, the honey BBQ flavor, but it’s just a matter of time with the responses you’re getting for these no sugar added sauces, SBR.

Don’t beat around the bush, SBR, just get on a honey BBQ no sugar added version!.

I received a voucher through mail from Rays No Sugar Added for any flavor and I decided to try the honey mustard. Surprisingly it taste sweet with tart and tangy flavor. A good condiment for burger, sandwiches and hotdogs.

However, I prefer adding it to my salads and greens. An alternative to caesar salad dressing. Taste so good. Perfect for those cutting on sugar intake without compromise on taste.

I tried the golden bbq sauce since my local WF store did not have the Primal Kitchen steak sauce. I am not a big fan of smoked flavor condiments unless they are cooked for hours. This sauce is good. It tastes clean and salt and sugar are not part of the recipe.

This is so much different than any bbq sauce that I have tried. See bbq is a method if cooking and I believe can not be found in a bottle. When foods are prepared in a bbq grill the smoke flavor is automatically infused by the cooking method.

These days bbq sauces have an enormous amount of salt and sugar, which in my opinion is just a mask for all the preservatives and other unhealthy unatatural ingredients. This is a simple sauce that can be used for dipping.

I enjoyed this golden bbq sauce with air fried Kroger crispy (frozen) butterflied shrimp. It replaces a cocktail sauce, a bbq dipping sauce etc.
