20 Best Lotion For Toddler Eczema (2023 Updated)

I purchased this for the first time a month ago. Now that some time has passed with only using this lotion and the 2 n 1 newborn body wash I came here to say it’s amazing! My little girl who is 2 has very sensitive skin NOTHING has worked for her she breaks out in red blotches, pimple like bumps on arms and legs, and eczema when using any other products I’ve even tried California Baby.

I am so happy I found Noodle & Boo. I use it on my newborn as well with zero issues. Just made my second purchase with the bigger size and I’ll continue to only buy this for now on. If you are hesitant on buying this don’t be you will be completely satisfied.

I am happy to report that my little ones legs and arms no longer have those bumps on them it’s been almost a year that she’s had them. Wow!.

If you don’t have this lotion , you’re really missing out ! My daughter gets little dry patches here and there , so with this super soft lotion it really had her skin moisturized over the winter. It’s been about two months since I had this lotion and I LOVE IT.

The finish is super soft and the scent is amazing. I will definitely be repurchasing this product !.

My baby was born 2020 and unfortunately developed eczema at 2 months old. Our pediatrician prescribed steroids but we were hesitant to use them but her outbreaks were so terrible that we used them nonetheless.

After weeks of using it, they didn’t even help so we stopped using them and reaserched many different creams, lotions and moisturizers. We tried just about everyone on the market and finally tried Aveeno eczema cream and omg what a difference!! The rashes went away within 3 days, she scratched significantly less and after 2 weeks, her skin was sooo much better! It’s the only moisturizer we use on her! We use it in conjunction with other aveeno eczema products and it’s totally transformed her skin.

We have peace of mind knowing it’s natural and no harsh chemicals like with the steroids. She is now 18 months and her skin is beautiful, we still use the cream on her as maintenance but she’s now able to wear shorts and dresses whereas before she had to be in long sleeve shirts and pants.

This is by far my favorite daily body lotion and I’ve used it for years. My mom uses the regular version of Aveeno lotion and bought this one by mistake a few years ago, so she gave it to me. I’ve never been too fond of the original, or of any lotion for that matter, because I thought that all of them gave me the same sticky feeling that didn’t go away (and would be even worse if it was hot outside).

Understandably, when I tried this I was shocked! It absorbs into the skin wonderfully and leaves behind no residue, even if you use a lot of it. My skin still feels like my skin after application, but in a nicer, softer, more moisturized way.

I use it on essentially my entire body every night and I’m good for the whole next day. Definitely get this if you’re like me and want the hydration without that “lotion-y” feeling. This product doesn’t contain SPF, so the only time I use a different lotion is in the morning if I need some for that purpose.

Even in that case, this formula is sheer enough that I don’t have any problems if I have to layer sunscreen or another lotion on top.

I made the mistake of combining ingredients on my under eye area that essentially caused a minor chemical burn (I think). For weeks I had penny-sized red circles under my eyes and it was dry, itchy, and started peeling.

my go-to bare-bones moisturizers (cerave and vanicream) did nothing to help, and even made it worse at times. I decided to try something for eczema since those address the same kind of symptoms. I found this and applied it.

i immediately felt relief from the itching but it took about 2 weeks of using only this on my eye area (and my sensitive, itchy neck) morning and night and reapplying maybe 2 times throughout the day when needed.

Now, the redness is gone, the itching is gone, and the skin is rejuvenated and no longer dry or peeling. The best moisturizer around! I get extremely dry hands from working in water and doing regular house cleaning to changing diapers and washing hands frequently. This stuff helps immediately and overnight your skin barrier is almost repaired! I use all over hands, arms, feet, legs, belly, and on my litlle ones bodies and faces in the colder monthes.

It’s wonderful and I love that it isn’t filled with junk. Its simple and completely unscented.

I have tried so many different products on my daughter’s eczema over the past 5 years, and I was desperate to find something that actually worked well. Aveeno’s baby nighttime balm with colloidal oatmeal has been THE MOST effective for her skin.

When her eczema is “bad,” I apply it in the morning on top of her anti-itching Rx and it makes and keeps her skin softer almost all day, and helps keep the Rx from rubbing off of her skin. In the evening, I reapply the lotion (and meds if necessary) and put gloves/socks/pjs on her and the next morning her skin is SO MUCH BETTER.

We have tried so many other products which felt greasy, didn’t last very long, and didn’t work the miracles that this product has overnight. I’ve recommended this product to family and friends with the same issues, and they’ve started to use it too because it works for them.

Recently bought this for perioral dermatitis and it is amazing! Let me start by saying, I have extremely sensitive skin! My face reacted poorly to a new product that left my skin scaly, red, and bumpy.

I bought this because of the reviews and I trust Aveeno to have calming properties. This product did the trick to heal my perioral dermatitis and then some! I will say, I expected a different consistency before I bought it (think petroleum jelly) but nevertheless, this product worked to heal my skin issues.

I’ve actually still been using it at night (for about two weeks now) because I haven’t had a bad reaction to it at all and feel like it’s doing a good job with whatever it’s doing to my skin. My skin has never looked better.

Both My Son And I Love This Stuff. I Wash Him In Tubby Todd Baby Products And It Works Great, But Doesn’t Stay Moisturized And Works Well Like The Baby Balm Does. We Use It Several Times A Day On Him For His Severe Eczema On His Face, Which Startwd Because He Was On Formula.

Getting Rid Of Formula And Adding This To His Skin Daily Has Made It Go Away And Makes Him So Soft. We Won’t Ever Be Without It. I Did Get Attached By A Dog The Day Before Thanksgiving And The Only Thing That Gets Rid Of My Redness Is This Product.

I’ve been going crazy with eczema on my face for months. I only use natural, cruelty free and if possible vegan options. Some things helped a little, then didn’t help then sometimes actually made it redder and more painful.

I used Squalane, oat balm, ceramides, vegan collagen, serums, creams etc. I got some organic cream for eczema. Worked for a few days then made my skin redder & burned upon application. I didn’t want to use a prescription cream full of chemicals.

I’ve purchased products from Pippette before and when I saw this and read about it I decided to try one more thing. No burning and it wasn’t greasu.

My toddler has been plagued this winter with eczema and all over itchy skin. No matter how moisturized we kept her with fragrance free lotion she would wake in the middle of the night to scratch her arms, neck, belly and legs.

Her pediatrician recommended using hydrocortisone to help with the itch but I couldn’t imagine using this on my baby. We have been using Pipette for a little over a month and the relief was instant. It calmed her itch and cleared her skin.

Doesn’t upset my acne, treats my eczema without steroids making it everyday use friendly, and doesn’t leave me greasy but still moisturizes. It literally sinks right into my skin as soon as i put it on.

I’ve completely replaced my every facial I was using with this one. Takes a little bit longer to heal eczema than other steroid filled creams but that’s expected as there’s no steroids in this product whatsoever.

The slightly longer (not really much longer) heal time is totally worth it for those of us who wanna avoid steroids and other steroid related injuries such as TSW (Please look this up if you dont know what it is and afterwards I promise you’re gonna wanna burn every steroid filled eczema cream you own).

I’ve been using cetaphil soothing baby wash on my son since he was a newborn. He is 2 years old and we still use this product during every bath. I love the gentle smell of this wash. It has never irritated or dried out my son’s skin.

It’s a bit more pricey than other brands, but I use cetaphil face and body wash for myself and don’t mind spending extra money to ensure my son has good products as well. Highly recommend to others!.

Ordered it as it’s Cetaphil Baby Daily Lotion and it’s the only scented lotion that my son can have without his eczema flaring up. We use Cetaphil Baby for years but I didnt realise it’s a different variety of what he normally have.

I thought he might react to it but no. It’s still gentle and more fragrant than the other one but I like this too, i think even better. I just love this baby scent on him than the unscented ones he was prescribed.

I have eczema and it’s been expensive getting prescription products. Cetaphil works great for off counter products! It provides the moisture that I need. The scent is light and it does not leave your skin feeling sticky either.

Only lotion my son can use! I tried Johnson’s newborn soap and lotion on him and he broke out in a horrible rash. I tried Tubby Todd on him, and the soap completely dried his skin out and the lotion was awful.

We switched to Noodle and Boo and never looked back. The soap is amazing and the lotion is even better. I absolutely love the lavender smell. It smells the way I think babies should always smell! I am so sad it’s sold out right now because we’re almost out!.

I love this lotion. I use it for myself and my kids. It makes my skin SO soft. I love the smell, how easily it rubs in, how thick it is, and how it moisturizes so well. I live in CO, a very very dry state, especially in the winter.

I also have very sensitive skin to purfumes/dyes. I haven’t had any eczema this winter because of this lotion. My husband pokes fun at me because it’s for babies, but I don’t care. It does what I need it to do.

My 9 month old son has severe eczema which he is constantly itching his skin to the point where its leaving him with scratches and skin feeling very dry and bumpy. Mind you I have tried every product out there from Eucerin, Avenno, Aquaphore, oils, etc.

, you name them. Tried them all and no luck because my baby would itch non stop, especially through the night to the point where I was not getting enough sleep due to my baby constantly tossing and turning from his itchy skin.

I love this product and it really performs. I have very dry/cracked hands as well as some eczema patches on my hands plus I live in Colorado, so I am constantly waging a battle to keep my hands from being too irritated.

And that was before all the hand washing due to the pandemic. But this cream has made such a difference in my hands. It instantly soothes my hands no matter how irritated they are and it does not sting when I apply it over the most sensitive areas.

I never write reviews, but I had to for this. I’ve had pretty severe eczema patches all over my face for about a year now. They flare up even worse during the winter time. I have tried everything under the sun to help, including prescription hydrocortisone from the dermatologist, rich moisturizers, moisturizers with honey, all the essential oils, jojoba oil, aloe vera, and much more.

Nothing seem to help the inflammation in the intense itch. I know this moisturizer isn’t necessarily for the face, but I just use it to spot treat all of the patches on my face. Within 10 minutes of putting it on, my patches look less red and stop itching.

My skin absolutely drinks this up and it has been a lifesaver. Nothing offers me relief like this moisturizer. I know they say not to use it near your eyes or eyelids, but I slather this all over my eyelids because I also have patches there.

I’ve been fighting itchy rashy eczema on my hands and it was spreading to my arms, and I had never had it in my life. This went on for 2 years, and my dermatologist put me on 3 or 4 different creams and/or steroid creams and none worked.

I recently purchased this for my kids. I live in Colorado where the weather is dry and so is mine and my kids skin. My son suffers from dry itchy skin but I work really hard to keep his skin comfortable and not itchy.

As I looked at the ingredients, I did notice that there’s not a huge ingredient list and I love that this is petrolatum based. I really thought this was going to be heavy but it’s really light. It’s light weight but effective.

It’s fragrance free but I do get a very slight oatmeal smell which is subtle and I like it. Keeps my son from from scratch his skin off and reduced water loss. Will repurchase!.

Well, I have to give this 5 stars, as I am back buying more because both my baby AND my husband benefit from this! My baby has eczema on her stomach, so I use this on her. It calms her itching, and it appears her eczema has even improved.

This lotion is amazing! I originally purchased it for my baby’s delicate skin but I quickly found it’s amazing on mine too. I get really dry, scratchy hands and bouts of eczema in the fall/winter and this cream clears it up and leaves my hands immediately.

The absorption is incredible and leaves zero film or oily feeling to your skin at all – which is what I can’t stand about most lotions. I highly recommend this one!.

This is a great eczema cream for kids. It is definitely thicker and creamier than a lotion so I feel like it goes on better. It has a very light smell that honestly isn’t even noticeable. It goes on easily but you can feel where you have applied it.

It does not feel oily like some other products tend to feel. I think it has a fair price point especially considering it is silicone and petroleum free. That combined with it being hypoallergenic are worth ant extra expense to me since my kiddo is so sensitive.

I am very glad that we chose this product to help with my daughter’s frequent dry skin and rashes. She gets small patches of irritated skin and wanted to try this product out when the product our doctor gave us didn’t help.

Bought this based upon the positive reviews I had read and I am so glad I did! I have tried so many different products/brands for my baby’s eczema and none have worked. until I tried this product! This cream does have a light oatmeal scent but after the cream is applied I hardly notice the scent.

It’s very gentle on my baby’s skin and is not greasy or leaves any sort of grease like stain on her clothes like other creams/ointments we have tried have. This is literally the only product that has been able to clear up my daughters eczema and leave her skin super soft and hydrated.

My two month baby broke out in eczema really bad last week , this was her first time. I found this and decided to give it a try. I’m so happy I did. Her skin immediately started to improve by the following day and every day after that it got better.

I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. My son (6. 5yo) and my daughter (5yo) have been dealing with severe eczema. My son has used several lotions. Basically anything that I could find that claimed to aid in clearing eczema flares to no avail.

This didn’t help my baby’s eczema at all. Used it until the tube ran out to see if it made a difference and did nothing. Her eczema is bad but not super severe. Smells nice though.

This was the first Hamilton Babies product we tried and its how we became fans! The smell is quite mild but it does smell realllllly good. Probably because it has delicious honey as one of the ingredients.

We were kind of at our wits’ end with my sons eczema and I just wanted him to get some relief. This worked the best for us and really helped get his baby eczema under control.

I liked this so much I used it on my 2 year old and on myself! We don’t have eczema but we both have Keratosis Pilaris (toddler’s is more mild) which is prone to drying. This lotion made our skin feel SO soft.

I used this in the past with great results. The formula must have changed. I ordered from Amazon first and after receiving a very watery bottle of lotion, I returned it and bought straight from the company.

The lotion was the same consistency. It’s awful. Just like rubbing water on my daughter after her showers.

I decided to try exederm as saw this is 5/5 on national eczema site. My son has severe eczema on face and the body wash does not dry his skin. I also use the baby eczema cream (which is the same as adult’s intesive moisturiser), which absorbs well into the skin and gentle enough for his face.

I wish they have noted that the two moisturisers are the same just different sizes. One star off for bad customer service, i had on two occasions ask questions on the website regarding the product but never receive a reply.

It’s super thick and very creamy. The application is good and provides a nice soothing feeling on my dry skin. The moisture lasts for a day or so, so you have to reapply daily. I did get relief for my eczema and didn’t experience any negative reactions like burning.

I haven’t tried this on my face, but I do recommend it for the body. I just wish it was more absorbent. You really have to work it into your skin. Overall it did it’s job.

I have struggled with my child’s eczema for four years. I used all kinds of OTC and homeopathic remedies with NO success. I finally gave in and started applying prescription-strength hydrocortisone that cleared his eczema with consistent application.

In the care package we received: 🌿AVEENO® Eczema Care Moisturizing Cream Triple Oat formula to reduce itch / irritation. Moisturizes to help strengthen skin’s natural barrier function / prevent the recurrence of extra dry skin.

Moisturizing cream burned on areas that we had an outbreak on, this did not go over well, but we alleviated the stinging with ice tried the cream on other areas that had minimum/no aggravation and there were no complaints.

The cream left skin hydrated well for non breakout areas but did little for areas where skin was experiencing a flare up. We support the product for use throughout stages of flareups and in between, to help with condition as personally I feel it is better than using steroids; however, this does not mean I also do not support medication, prescribed by a physician, when absolutely needed to help with healing quality of life since those are extremely prevalent for those suffering from this disease.

Once again I am going to repeat what I did about my other Aveeno product this is truly a great and wonderful brand. My eczema along with my daughter’s disappeared after only one day of use. I mean this is not prescription or over the counter but the quality speaks for itself and the performance does too with how effective and well this ‘normal’ high quality product truly is.

I had ring worm and seldom blue is supposed to cure. No it did not. But guess what? This Aveeno product provided relief and cure even though it did not intend. Thank you Aveeno! This truly is top quality grade for low price.

We know how challenging it is to have a child with eczema and sourcing creams and ointments that will not harm their delicate skin is even a bigger task for parents. My daughter’s eczema is dry and splotchy but TruKids provides comfort as these products are natural and it doesn’t harm the child’s skin.

It rubs in sheer and doesn’t appear to effect the eczema. We will continue using TruKids. Why you should buy natural vs. chemical: Natural minerals such as zinc oxide and titanium dioxide reflect UV to protect from burning and aging rays; chemical sunscreens disperse UV rays through the body and need 20 minute to become effective.

This particular sunscreen contains 20% zinc oxide.

In a search for a natural “better for you” sunscreen (lots of research and EWG approval) I decided to buy 3 products for comparison: Babo Botanicals 30 SPF Clear Zinc Sunscreen; TruKid SPORT Unscented/Water Resistant Sunny Days SPF30+ Lotion and Green Screen Sunscreen from Kabana.

1. Babo is been superb for my face, absorbs well, no stickiness or white film, not to mention the wonderful smell. 2. Trukid is been great for my body, also absorbing well (it kind of disappears on your skin).

A bit sticky, but not so much to dislike it. No fragrance w/ a nice consistency to spread well all over. 3. Green Screen was the most unpleasant one for me. It was way too thick, hard to apply on and left an undesirable white cast on my skin.

All of them are high quality organic (top-rated, no chemicals, broad spectrum, non-nano, not-micronized Zinc Oxide) sunscreens but only the first two worked for me.
