20 Best Lotion For Thin Skin (2023 Updated)

I was recommended this product by my provider for hyperpigmentation on my body. I used it on a continuous basis for over a year and did not see much difference in my hyperpigmentation, but it did leave my skin feeling soft and smooth.

I have very sensitive skin and it did not cause irritation nor breakouts. I liked that it was fragrance free and absorbed quickly into the skin, leaving no residue nor stickiness. However, I discontinued use because I noticed that my skin tone was starting to look blotchy.

I did some research and learned that glycolic acid can have adverse affects in regards to skin tone on persons with darker complexions (I would consider myself to have light-medium tone with neutral undertone), therefore, instead of lightening and evening out the skin tone, it could actually do the opposite.

I don’t know if this was the cause, but my skin tone has not gotten any blotchier since I discontinued. Also, the packaging is not the best – it can be difficult to dispense the lotion (need some hulk hands to squeeze it out).

I would recommend this product to those with light complexions and strong palms.

I do not remember how I discovered this lotion, as I have been purchasing it for some time now, but my entire adult life, the skin on my hands would crack and bleed, and no lotions would prevent it. I apply this lotion every two or three days at night, and it rejuvenates my skin and has completely stopped the cracking and bleeding.

I also use it a couple of days after shaving my legs to exfoliate and prevent ingrown hairs. The price is well worth it. It is very thick, and you do have to put some effort into getting it out of the bottle towards the end, but I would imagine you could find a pump if needed.

It’s not a big deal for me, though.

I have been using Alpha Enhanced Renewal Cream with 12% AHA for over 10 years. I am 48 years old and consistently get compliments on my skin. I have almost no deep wrinkles (maybe one on my forehead), good tone, and very smooth skin, as well as almost never have blemishes.

My skin has gotten oilier as I’ve aged (which I think has helped with not getting wrinkles), but I think using this product has helped keep my skin clear and maintain its youthful appearance. Even though my dermatologist says I could use both this and Retin-A micro every night, I alternate them, so I don’t end up with peeling skin.

It definitely helps exfoliate and keep my cell turnover rate high. It’s a moisturizing formula, but at my age I use a moisturizer after applying. 10 years ago I just used this product with no moisturizer.

Honestly, this is a fantastic product for an amazing price!.

I’ve been using La Mer body crème for about 2 years now and there’s simply nothing else like it. I resisted for a long time because of the price and one day, in a weak moment, my curiosity got to me.

I thought, let me buy it just this once. LOL… That’s funny. One try and you’re hooked! Last week I got a jar for my mom who is aging and has very dry skin. Her skin soaked it in and immediately transformed into supple, soft skin.

I will start off saying I love lamer products. I use nearly all their products(face, hands, lips, cosmetics ) bc they work for me. I currently use the lamer reparative lotion and love it. I wanted to buy another one but it has been sold out for a while( here and on lamer).

The sale here was going on (20%)so I decided to try this cream. This size of this is huge. I can say it is hydrating, has a thicker consistency (use less), and makes skin instantly softer, smoother, and glowy.

It doesn’t get sticky, absorbs quickly and leaves the classic lamer scent(soft but notable). This is defiantly a pricer purchase for a body cream, initially, however considering the amount needed each time and how long it will last I find it more reasonable.

I have sensitive skin, that is normal but gets drier as winter settles in. I didn’t have any negative reactions to this cream. If you need a solid hydrating cream that actually works and don’t mind the upfront cost you will be pleased with this.

This is one of my guilty pleasures. I can’t say that I noticed it makes much of a difference to my skin because I already have fairly nice skin, but I’m sure it’s doing something that is not necessarily noticeable to the naked eye.

However, it surely gives all the feels of luxury. I love this skin cream! It feels great to put on, it doesn’t dry out, my skin stays moisturized, and most of all… IT SMELLS SO FREAKING GOOD! Although I’m not rich, I feel like it when I use this product.

I’ve used Derma-E moisturizers for over a year now and have really liked them until this product. I decided to get this because I really needed SPF in my skincare routine. I was so surprised to find that the quality of this moisturizer is awful! Something about the SPF in the formula makes it pill VERY badly.

I have pretty dry skin, and apply my moisturizer every morning with a jade roller. Unfortunately this was sticking together and would not spread across my skin at all, and my roller could barely pick it up.

I had to use my hands to try and get it to absorb but it was just flaking and spreading all over my skin. My dry spots were not hydrated at all, my face felt gritty, and the moisturizer looked like powder all over my face.

Unfortunately the whitecast is also pretty bad, it made me look at least two shades paler. This is the first time I’ve ever had to return a product, I replaced it with the Pacifica Vegan Collagen everyday lotion with SPF 30, and I highly recommend that product to anyone this didn’t work for.

I absolutely love this brand and in all honesty, i’m very sensitive to the smell of high SPF lotions. Hate how most feel too. But this Derma E lotion has a such a wonderful creamy texture. I don’t smell anything which is great.

Its the best “sun block” lotion I’ve ever put in my face! HOWEVER, it looks terrible on your face!! No joke, it makes you look like you are wearing white Halloween make up. I am so fair so it looks bad on me, But my husband has a bit more color than me and it looked HORRIBLE on him.

No…. it looked HYSTERICAL!! Pretty much I recommend maybe at night time or during the day if no one‘s around but I can tell you that this is nothing that you can just put on your face and go out in public unless you want to look like Pagliacci.

Omgggg this is the best sunscreen moisturizer ever!!!!!! Every single sunscreen I used broke me out. I would acne from chemical to minerals ingredients. From expensive products to cheap ones I would just break out no matter what.

I got to the point that I was scared of all sunscreen products. But as I aged I really need to protect my skin. I love that they only have one main sunscreen ingredient: zinc oxide!!!!! That ingredient itself helps heal or get rid of acne.

Heck it’s also in some baby diaper rash to heal broken skin. On top of that it has vitamin B3 & E!!!! Perfect ingredients for skin. Okay please read people! SHAKE WELL!!!!! You need to shake this bottle every single time you use it or you’ll get thick consistency which you don’t want that.

Shake it well and rub it in between your palms together or fingers to warm up the product before pressing into your skin. That’s how you don’t get the “white” color stuck on your face looking like a ghost as the reviewers said on here.

The heat from your hands melts or lessen the color white and it melts into your skin. Giving you that glowing dewy look on your skin. My face is looking less dull and it brighten my complexion making me look youthful.

Oh and no acne has come out. Not a single one!!!!!!.

I caution any skincare shopper to beware of radical claims of, “This cleared up my skin in days!” or “Never buy this product! Ruined my skin!” Everyone’s skin is different, and, in my understanding, there are very, very few ingredients that produce immediate results, and most formulations are not actively comedogenic in this day and age.

That being said, this product is fantastic. No, it did not do anything magically, but for a moisturizer for acne-prone skin, I have never used a product like it. I used to swear off “luxury” skincare and only use drugstore products.

However, the amount of drugstore moisturizer I used on my skin to get even close to the same benefit is incomparable. The tube may be “smaller,” but you use WAY less and get much more out of it. It is the perfect weight for my skin- canceling out both the oily and dry zones- while protecting me from irritation from my prescription retinoid! The product may sting if you put too much on at first! But that might be your skin type not being compatible.

If you generally are not super SUPER sensitive (like I was when I FIRST tried it and was using too much), this product should be fine (especially if you give it a few chances and titrate). The ingredient list is also impeccable.

If you’re worried about how quickly it works, I can at least say it leaves a gorgeous glow after use every time!.

I don’t usually leave bad reviews for products especially where they are just meh, but this moisturiser damaged my moisture barrier and left my skin a dry and flaky mess that I am still trying to fix.

I really wanted to like this product because it contains ceramides which I believe is good for skin barrier health. I have oily skin and have always used oil-free moisturisers such as QV’s oil free moisturiser which have always been sufficiently hydrating and moisturising for my skin, and I thought that this moisturiser and the ceramides within would be amazing for my skin.

Boy was I wrong. I gave it a couple of weeks and tried it multiple times – when my skin was a bit drier, when it was nice and hydrated, and on all occasions it actually made my skin dry and flaky (see photos).

As an oily skin person, I don’t usually get flaky skin on my skin (maybe just around my nose during hayfever season), so I was SHOCKED when my skin started flaking ALL OVER MY FACE in areas that wouldn’t usually get that dry and parched.

This is the only new product that I have incorporated into my routine and I have actually cut back on my use of differin since it started giving me grief, wondering if this moisturiser just isn’t occlusive enough to prevent differin irritation like my other moisturisers do.

However, even after I stopped using differin, the moisturiser still makes my skin flake when I’m not using differin. I had been using differin regularly for a number of months when I started using this moisturiser and my skin has become pretty accustomed to differin, so it does seem like the irritation and flakiness was either caused by or exacerbated by this moisturiser, especially since my skin started improving after switching back to my usual oil-free moisturisers.

I would definitely return this if I didn’t have to pay for return shipping and purchase packaging for the return of this product. I would not recommend this to anyone.

I have sensitive, combination skin which is acne prone and have closed comedones. I’ve notice recently more comedones popping up. My winter skin (dry, flakey patches on cheeks and forehead) was saved by the Omega complex moisturizer.

Figured comedones due to moisturizer being too thick for Summer so tried Clear oil free. 1 week in and my T zone seems ok but my cheeks are red and a little warm. This was the only new products I have introduced.

Really wanted to live this, but it’s just not for me. Thankful that these come in tavel sizes for testing vs. Having to buy full sizes. Hoping I can find the right Summer moisturizer for all over my face.

I would not prefer to have 2 differ types.

It’s difficult to determine if my skin is actually being strengthened. I will accept the opinion of my dermatologist. I seem to be allergic to your product on my arms. My skin itches when I use it there.

I switched to a competitor’s product and the itching disappeared. I continue to use Dermend elsewhere. Your lotion is really expensive: And it’s only available at a few stores.

I have thin skin and was in need of some help. A friend told me that her doctor recommended this so I thought I would give it a try. I was amazed the difference in my skin in a week. It looks healthier and although I still bruise it is not as often and not as bad.

I highly recommend this product. The lotion feels rich and goes on smoothly and is not greasy.

Due to use of blood thinners (and age), I am prone to bruising, especially my forearms. As I live in Houston, I wear short sleeves a LOT, so my forearms are visible most seasons, which means the bruises are visible, too.

I consulted a dermatologist about another issue and while I had his ear, I asked about the bruising. It used to take 4 or more weeks for bruising to disappear, during which time I was able to create new bruises, more often than not.

My dermatologist suggested DerMend and I figured, “why not?” I’m glad I did. Now, a bruise begins to fade within a day or two and disappears within a week to 10 days. MUCH improved!!!! The only downside is that it warns against sun exposure, but I’m not sure why.

I haven’t tested it, but I do notice that I seem to feel the sun a little more than what I would consider normal. Not sure if that’s the DerMend or the brutal Houston sun.

My dermatologist recommended that I try the DermMend moisturizing bruise formula because my health insurance would not pay for Retinol for my hands. The skin on my hands was so fragile, sun damaged, bruised so easily and always looked so horrid.

If anything barely touched the top of my hands, my skin would rip and my whole hand would turn purple and it would take forever to heal. I use this cream every night before going to be so it has a chance to work without getting washed off.

Now after using this cream for about 6 months, my hands look so much heathier and my skins is so much smoother and softer. I hope this cream remains available and affordable.

I had watched a YouTube video saying how this was a dupe for a really expensive cream (I forget now it was 6+months ago) she was saying her dad was looking for something to tighten his sagging skin and neck up for didnt want to spend alot of money and so she (his daughter) had done some research and found this to work best and I have to said I agree.

Im so happy I stumbled across that video when I did because I have been concerned with some stretch marks that my coco butter didn’t clear up and I want to help tighten my neck and thighs and you know those areas as women worry about.

This isn’t a magical cream and its not going to tighten and give you abs and make your scars vanish but im telling you what my skin wet back to normal and I honestly can’t even see my tiger stripes unless im really looking and touching when looking for them.

I recommend this 100%. Ive been using my bottle for about 6 months and honestly I didnt have much faith i picked it up with hopes but also because I needed a after shower moisturizer. So to be honest I wasn’t looking and paying close attention to the month day and time I noticed they were gone I just remember not seeing this one day and then having to tell everyone about this lotion lol.

I purchased this because of all the “rave” reviews on how this changes your skin from crepe to smooth etc within days. Well, I’ve been using it for over a month and notice very slight improvement. I don’t have alot of crepe skin in my 50’s but I do have some on my arms.

Nothing seemed to change about it (so far) after using this product (inconsistently for a month) other than it was moisturized more. I do like the scent and texture of the lotion so I’ll continue to use it.

Maybe I need to be more consistent using it in order to see the full benefits. Some of these companies really overdue all the hype on their claims about their products. I’ve also noticed that some SOME of these companies reject any negative reviews which makes product claims very deceiving and just wrong! You do not know which companies do this practice either! In my opinion, ALL reviews should be submitted about a products effectiveness etc.

I have very dry skin. This is now my favorite body lotion! I can see and feel the difference after weeks of applying. My skin looks hydrated. The lotion is not heavy and not greasy at all. Even if you sweat, you will not feel greasy or sticky unlike other lotions I have tried.

Easily absorbed and dries. It has no scent either. My photo is their old packaging. I will continue to purchase this product and I will make sure I never run out. Highly recommended! I am a user!!!.

I love CeraVe pm! A product has to be absolutely fantastic for me to give it five stars and I heard about this when I looked up what products would be great to use a Trenton knowing and I can’t believe I did try CeraVe products much earlier…I’m actually really mad at myself for spending Ridiculous amounts of money for nothing when this brand is literally created with dermatologists and it has so many fantastic ingredients that are SO good for your skin! So this cream is extremely moisturizing but it is light and buttery like a creamy serum.

I absolutely love it. It’s also great for daytime. I have no dryness whatsoever using this with tretinoin. Once a week I use the moisturizing cream for a deep treatment on my face. it’s very inexpensive so it’s worth trying.

Keep in mind my skin is acne prone and very reactive! And I have absolutely no issues.

I’ve had acne to varying degrees of severity for maybe ten years and this is my go-to. The texture is light, almost gel-like, and very hydrating. The fact that it’s unscented is huge for my sensitive skin, and I love that it contains niacinamide, which has been essential in fading my (old) acne scars! I will say that I’ve gotten lazy and started using it morning AND night recently (the AM moisturizer has a weird crumbly texture and whitecast that makes me not super excited to use it), and I’ve been breaking out in big, painful, itchy, scarring clusters.

I’m taking a break from this moisturizer (as well as my paula’s choice salicylic acid cleanser) to let my skin heal, because I think using niacinamide twice a day might be contributing to my breakout.

TLDR; this is my holy grail moisturizer but beginning to use it twice a day is probably what’s giving me painful breakouts.

Whenever I go to CVS, I HAVE to grab something totally unnecessary, and that I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT need. So this last trip, I grabbed Vanicreams light-(er)-weight lotion. I always look over the ingredients before purchasing anything, bc well.

Even the best companies will sometimes surprise you and throw in a drying alcohol or witch hazel. But Again, Vanicream didn’t let me down. I wasn’t sure if I would like this lotion with its much more Watery consistency.

But immediately after using it I-WAS-IN-LOVE. Its a much better option for the warmer months, and really is so much lighter. but even being as thin as it is, it’s an excellent occlusive, And still provided more than enough hydration for my skin, while not leaving it greasy or heavy feeling.

My skin could still breathe, but still did a great job of not allowing my skin to dry out during the day. Like every other Vanicream. product I’ve seen and tried, this one also has a very small, minimalistic inci list, and ZERO fragrance (which anyone using a stronger retinoid knows is a pretty important aspect.

) Seriously, try it! You won’t be disappointed. But do use a very lightweight hydrator under it, bc this actually has petrolatum as the third or fourth ingredient.

My Allergist recommended I start using the Vanicream products when I became allergic to several ingreadients found in the cosmetics I was using. She started me onthe Vanicream Moisturizing Cream. It helped with my allergy issues, but it was thicker than I liked when I put my foundation.

I decided to get the lotion but had trouble finding it in the local stores. That’s when i started looking on the internet and found it on the LovelySkin site. Now I’m using the cream at night and the lotion during the day.

My foundation goes on more smoothly now. This is a great product if you have allergies or contact dermatitis as I do.

It is crafted with vitamin B3 complex and collagen to hydrate with plumping moisture to tighten skin and diminish fine lines leaving skin acting younger, feeling softer, and looking smoother. The vitamin B3 hydrates your skin allowing it to hold on to water penetrating up to 10 layers deep to begin the process of increasing surface cell turnover without greasy residue left on your skin.

This product can be used all over your hands and body and works with all skin types. After trying this product I have to say that my skin really does look younger and is definitely much smoother. Now that I have had the opportunity to try this product, I wish I would’ve at least taken photos of my hands then and now (1 week later) because it would be so much easier to see how it worked for me rather than telling you through this review.

On top of that, it also contains vitamin B3 complex which helps visibly improve your skin. I am definitely a fan #trywithtopbox ! My first impression of this product is that I felt that it deeply hydrate my skin.

It is supposed to penetrate up to 10 layers deep and visibly improves skin. I’ve been testing it out for a couple weeks now and it’s amazing! The light fresh scent that it has is very pleasant without being overpowering.

This Olay Firming and Hydrating body lotion kind of came at the exact right time for me. I’ve found this summer that using sunscreen has done a number on drying out my skin, so I was looking for a good body lotion.

I love this one for a few reasons: 1. It actually works. You’d think all body lotions are alike, but they aren’t. I notice my skin stays hydrated for an entire day after using this lotion. 2. It’s not greasy.

Nontoxic mama here. We use all things nontoxic in our home. so you can imagine how challenging that has been with a new baby suffering from eczema flare ups. any how, I’ve tried everything from earth mama to coconut oil.

some of the things I have tried have kept her moisturized (oily) but nothing ever helped with the terrible itching until now. A few nights ago I watched my baby wake up over and over again from itchy eczema skin.

I happened upon this little gem Rose Platinium and bought it on impulse. It must have been fate! This is a little pot of miracles! I use it every night and wake up in the morning to a glowing rested plumped complexion.

Ageing is inevitable but this little pot of deliciousness keeps my skin glowing and looking and feeling great.

I’m a key worker at the hospital and have to wear a mask all shift, which is playing havoc with my skin, One particular area has been my under eyes, which has become very dry, and uncomfortable. I had a chance to try a sample of this from Vichy for an honest review so I applied for it.

On the day this was delivered, I put some on as soon as I got home, I was surprised how almost instantly, my eyes looked and felt refreshed and hydrated. Fine lines were smoothed out and I looked less tired.

It comes in a lovely glass pot, the cream is silky smooth, absorbed instantly and is a gorgeous dusky pink colour, I was worried this would transfer to my under eye, but it is translucent on application and there is no visible colour.

I know it’s meant for a night cream, but I take it to work with me so i can apply some when i get chance, It helps make mask wearing a little more comfortable. I feel the appearance of my eye area has improved tremendously, It is less irritated, less dry and definitely more refreshed, The fact my fine lines have gone is an added bonus.

Very happy and I will be repurchasing very soon.

I bought this eye cream as I’m in menopause and my eye area is one of the driest areas of my face, along with my cheeks. So I wanted an eye cream that felt nice and soft and creamy to apply and which made my eye area feel nice and hydrated.

This does both and is a really divine texture. I’ve also used in on my lips in the morning for the last couple of days as my lips are like sandpaper at the moment, thanks hormones, and it’s helping! I’ve already ordered a second pot of this as it’s so beautiful to use and I love the soft delicate pink of not only the pot but the cream itself.

Definitely a keeper.

I have used several of these particular masks now. I used it again today with my MiTama. My skin looks nice after the treatment. The only thing is that it is a little stiff and doesn’t conform to my face like the more paper type masks do.

When I try to adjust it , it pulls away from one area to cover another. Also, I have a small face and it barely covers my chin area and bottom of face and not much left to smooth under my chin area.

Another great product from Le Mieux, hydrating and brightening just as the description says. Will definitely reorder once I use all 4 masks. I love that there’s a little serum left in the packet which I used the nxt day.

I wish it was a little more affordable so i could use them more than once a week, it’s not ridiculously priced but a little out of my price range as far as replacing it regularly. But if you need a quick pick me up for your complexion, then please try these masks😊.

I was suffering from really dry and problematic skin from daily makeup use. I have a TON of video calls daily so I need to make sure my skin looks good on camera. This mask literally repaired my dry skin overnight – especially around my eye area.

They aren’t the cheapest but I’m a believer. I plan to use these once a week to keep my skin glowing and moisturized.

I used this for over a year. It made my skin glow, yes, which doesn’t do much for me because I already have blush colored cheeks, but I had constant breakouts and my skin is not normally acne prone. Also caused me to get milia around my chin and mouth area, which are very difficult to remove and I never had before using this product.

I now have scarring on my face from using this product. My skin is combination oily/dry and the dry spots are mostly around my nose, sides of my nose and at the top of my forehead. This product made those areas flaky and irritated.

I switched to using only Juice Beauty products and all the problems I had went away within days. Never using this cream again.

Ok, after reading many of the reviews on here I realized most people do not know what this product is for. This moisturizer contains AHA, a chemical exfoliant. A granular face scrub, for example, would be a physical exfoliant.

This uses AHA to chemically exfoliate the top layer of your skin. In other words, this is best for use as a treatment that targets dullness and promotes cell turnover, but not as a regular moisturizer.

I have mildly sensitive skin, and when I put this on at night my face got as red as a tomato. That’s because the acid is irritating, on purpose, to peel off the top layer of skin. The next morning my skin looked fantastic.

SO, for best results use at night by itself after you wash your face, then the next day be gentle with your skin (use a gentle moisturizer, and SPF). This is best I think for once or twice a week, or maybe a week straight every night until you get the exfoliation desired, and then lay off it for a bit.

It’s great for dry skin because unlike many peels this is combined with a moisturizer. The next morning, like I said, my skin looked fantastic and had a glow. but it was extra sensitive! This is normal for AHA, but don’t rate negatively when you are using it as a regular moisturizer.

I’ve had this moisturizer for a few months now and I really like it. My skin is combination oily and I did noticed there was some slight sensitivity but I figured that’s expected, so I used SPF with it for the first couple weeks.

Once the moisturizer was worked into my regimen I really noticed changes. Smoother looking skin with less blemishes. My skin tends to break out and this moisturizer has made my break outs smaller and less frequent.

I was hoping to see more difference in my pores but nothing to rave about. I would consider buying this again I really like it. Others have noticed a difference as well I do get a good amount of compliments on my skin since I’ve used this moisturizer and the PTR anti aging gel cleanser.
