20 Best Lotion For Oily Skin (2023 Updated)

hey everyone ! so I personally have extremely oily skin and I’ve been really searching for a cleanser and moisturizer that helps me and I fr have gone through so many brands but I recently bought this moisturizer and paired it with the cleanser meant for oily skin and let me tell you , it works but too well.

I’ve never had dry skin in my life but after using this moisturizer, my skin is like the Sahara desert. It burned for a few minutes after putting it on then left my skin so dry that it felt like I was wearing a clay mask.

It works ! I didn’t have any problems with an oily face after but it had my skin so dry, it was so uncomfortable. I’ve been using it for almost a week and each time , it burns and leaves my face extremely dry so I usually add Vaseline after to help but I think I’m good off this product now.

I started using this product like 2 months ago, and it is a serious game changer. I was using the Effaclar line already, the face wash, the duo spot treatment, and sometimes the toner which dried my face out.

I would always try lotions and it would break me out even more. Then I started using this treatment. I went from having like 4 new breakouts a day down to one or none. It’s also nice because it doesn’t give you that greasy film afterwards.

I usually don’t write reviews ever, but this is one product that I would suggest to ANYONE. It helps break outs, it helps moisturize your skin, especially if you have combination skin like I do. And it leaves you feeling refreshed in the morning.

I have been feeling so much more confident in my skin and I love it. And because it’s not greasy, I can finally put lotion on in the morning. Every other lotion would make me look like I was greasy or like I was sweating, but this one absorbs right in and skin looks amazing.

The only issue I have with it, is the fact that it’s so small. It runs out really quick, and I usually hate having to spend money, but for this it’s so worth it for me.

This face moisturizer is great! It doesn’t leave oily residue. I apply it in the morning after my sunscreen and at night after my serum treatment. It leaves a thin layer that serves as a non comedogenic primer and it has the very nice smell as all other La Roche products.

If you’re worried about it being too little for such an expensive price, your really only need two drops of the moisturizer to cover the entire face, which is also true for most La Roche products, so they last a long time.

The only thing I have against this product is that it says it’s mattifying but it leaves no matte color.

I wear this every day as my base lotion and sun protection. I’ve used it for over a year and WOW! First of all, I’m still using the same bottle – a little goes a long way! Perhaps the most impressive thing is that I have never gotten sunburnt with it; this is coming from a person who has had to use 100+ sunscreen ALWAYS (no, 30 or even 50 SPF does not work like 100 SPF does!) and burns within 10 minutes of being in the sun without protection.

I’m so fair-skinned that I can hardly use any brand’s concealer or foundation because even the lightest shades are orange on me (I’ve loved using the lightest shade liquid concealer from Jovia’s Place – another great product to try if you’re very fair-skinned).

All this to say, I’m blown away by this product. My skin is average to dry. It’s not incredibly oily whatsoever, but you may find it helpful to use a matte foundation or tint over it if you’re concerned.

No white streaks. I’m always so tempted to try the newest and prettiest products, but this is a keeper!.

I was really looking forward to this product after reading the reviews, and seeking a daily moisturizer with SPF. This product is extremely thick and felt like it sat on top of my face all day, never soaking in.

It left a significant greasy feel that I experienced all day, made even worse if I tried to layer any sort of makeup on top of it. After using it for 3-4 days, I developed painful cystic blemishes all over my face — I assume from the thick/greasy product clogging my pores.

(I wash/tone/serum my face with MB products every night, and had clear skin before using this SPF moisturizer). The product DID provide good SPF coverage as I never burned, even while navigating strong summer sun in Texas.

I want to return the product, but MB makes you pay for your own shipping, which means you don’t get an actual full refund for your return. Very disappointed in this product and MB’s return policy.

I used this as a daily moisturizer after cleansing and using a toner. It absorbed into my skin well, and I loved the dewy way it made my skin look. I used the same small bottle for several months, so a little goes a long way! Unfortunately, it made my skin feel very congested, and my acne flared up.

My pores were full of gunk, my face was really oily, and I started getting cystic acne on my face and neck. I quit using it three days ago and my skin has already calmed down immensely, and the cysts are going away.

If you have skin that isn’t acne-prone or is more dry, this could be great for you. If your skin is acne-prone, be careful!.

My skin looks fresher and younger than all my cousin’s and all the friends I surround myself with, and I’m older than all of them. I’ve been using botanical kinetics purifying cream cleanser for years now and I have no reason to believe that this, in combination with the hydrating lotion is not the reason for that.

It’s certainly not genetics. I usually don’t tell anyone what I’m using unless they really insist that they need to know. Lol. It’s perfectly light for summer and even manages to keep skin protected and smooth during dry, winter weather.

However, I would like to express how upset I and many others are (in the online community) about Aveda’s discontinuing of the 16. 9 fl oz bottle of botanical kinetics: purifying crème cleanser. For a company that touts environmental protection: I was hoping they’d go in the direction of providing refill jugs for their products, but instead they’ve gone in the opposite direction towards tinier bottles.

Not a good look.

I have been using this for years to help control cystic acne on my cheeks it does a great job of keeping it at bay. It’s a non foaming creamy cleanser that packs a wallop (in the best ways possible) to your skin.

When you first try it you’ll feel a tingling sensation- this is from the resurfacing ingredients getting rid of dead skin (that forms cystic acne). In time it will go away. It has a light fresh non offensive scent.

A little bit goes a long way AND you don’t need to use a to er after. It removes my makeup leaves my skin clean soft, not dry or tight. It’s help improved old acne scarring from prior cysts and hyperpigmentation, eg lots of freckles.

TIP: i buy this yearly during Nordstrom’s Anniversary sale; double the size for the price of the regular size. One bottle lasts me almost 2 years. Definitely worth the investment.

I have dived into using Aveda after learning about the brand. Vegan, cruelty free, wind/solar powered, and quality products. Take my money. This has been the first skin care item that I haven’t been thrilled with.

Skin isn’t dried out or overly cleaned but I definitely can’t use it for removing anything from my skin make-up wise (I use tinted moisturizer and not even foundation). On bare skin I do feel a level of clean but not a deep clean even with massaging/lathering.

Will try the gel cleanser next, but no intention to repurchase the cream formula unless my skin is sensitive or needing a gentle wash. For anyone that is sensitive and not removing product, I would recommend this as it is very gentle.

I bought this as part of a skincare routine overall as my mid-30s skin was showing every issue in the book – redness, adult acne, fine lines, dryness one day, oily the next day, etc. The Northeast winter climate didn’t help either! I wanted a simple and nourishing moisturizer to use as a night cream because I HATE a thick and fragrant night cream.

After 10 nights of my new routine (gentle cleanser to remove makeup, MB rose water/witch hazel toner, Kera moisturizer), I am blown away by my new skin! I wake up with moisturized (but not greasy) baby soft skin.

For anyone else in their 30s struggling to find the best products – my advice is to keep it simple. There are SO many products out there but honestly I think the best thing to do is to stick to a consistent and simple routine and then wear SPF during the day.

Also want to note how much I love the MB packaging and squeeze bottle. Nothing is worse than an overpriced cream that you have to dip your fingers in each night.

I had this product in my favorites to try based on the description and the mixed reviews. I’m from Florida, but while in Ohio, ran out of another moisturizer I use that Ulta was out of in stores and online.

I decided I’ll give this a try. I want to believe maybe the cooler weather in Ohio but it would leave a white film that I had to keep trying to rub in as I’m brown skinned and then once out my face seemed tight dry.

It did keep my oily shine at bay but I wonder at what cost to drain my skin of some moisture. I returned it once I got back home. This is the second Mario Badescu product to not work so possibly just not for me.

Such a fresh moisturiser leaves my skin super soft. I suffer with acne have for years and struggled to find a good product that would help sooth my face and get rid of the blemishes. I actually got this part of a set along with the facial cleanser, cucumber lotion, face acne clay and cream I have also purchased the rose hip spray and mask and I have to say I love it.

My only negative is I would say the drying acne mask. The smell is pure sulphur I had to wash it off because it was making me feel sick. But no matter how hard you try the smell just won’t wash away.

I bought this to have a smaller sized everyday moisturiser yet there are so many flaws with this cream. Firstly, it smells and looks exactly like sorbolene cream. It reminds me of playing with my grandmas skin creams in the 90’s, the smell, the texture.

Secondly, I exfoliate, cleanse, tone then moisturise. This doesn’t at all soak into my skin and when rubbed in it turns white and basically stays like that, then dries and leaves a sticky feeling. Overall this for my skin isn’t a good cream by any standards, and it’s very very small for just under $30.

I’m very pleased with this moisturizer; it’s lightweight and has absolutely no smell. It’s more of a gel consistency than your average cream/lotion/moisturizer. I am still trying to get my ratio correct, I notice if I start at my cheeks and move inward, I am have the least amount of oils after a few hours- but if I start at the nose or forehead and work outwards, I tend to have a more oily T-zone (I also wear glasses 24.

7)- But even still, I’m VERY pleased with the results; the oil I DO get isn’t near the amount i would normally, so this is an improvement! I don’t feel gross at all, which is wonderful.

I love this moisturiser and I buy it again every time I run out of it. It leaves my skin feeling really moisturised without feeling oily, and goes really well under makeup. My only complaint about it would be that the bottle design is a bit annoying sometimes.

The end of the nozzle becomes blocked occasionally with dried moisturiser and then when I squeeze it out, the dry bit dislodges and I get a massive amount of moisturiser squirt out!.

I was tired of having very shiny skin after using a range of oil based moisturisers. So searched for non oily moisturiser and find this and I am so pleased I did. This absorbed immediately and doesn’t leave an oily shine.

My skin looks really great after a week. Fantastic oil free cream. Highly recommend!.

A little goes a long way and the smell is very pleasant. I have normal / dry skin and even though this is listed as for normal / oily, it has helped to keep the dryness around my nose at bay.

I am a big skinceuticals fan and I love almost all of their products. When it comes to their products, since they have such an expansive and high quality array of products it’s more about choosing what you need based on your current skin condition.

I love this product for the spring, summer, and fall because during that time of year my skin doesn’t need as much moisture and this moisturizer provides the perfect amount of moisture. During winter I usually switch to a slightly heavier moisturizer.

For this moisturizer another added benefit I like is the slight sheer to it and this is coming from someone who loves a matter finish. There is something really illuminating about this moisturizer that I really enjoy.

Lastly, I would say it slightly and I mean very slightly helps reduce the look of large pores but that is mainly something I notice after a month of use. I highly recommend this product and will buy it again.

This is an honest review! I received a sample of this cream in the mail last spring. I loved it so much, I bought the full-sized jar from my dermatologist. I use it nightly after my retinol and serum, and I wake up every morning with dewy soft supple skin.

I have had a severe health concern the past 4 years along with going through menopause which resulted in some dramatic changes to my skin and am so grateful that I found this cream. A big plus is that it doesn’t pill up after layering my products like many other creams do.

I love its cooling effect on my skin too most likely from the natural herbs such as peppermint oil. I have tried so many different moisturizers, but this one is by far the best. I have been wanting to try the A.

G. E cream but haven’t yet because this works so well. It’s pricey, but a tiny amount goes a very long way. It’s definitely worth every penny. I hope that someday Skinceuticals will offer a larger sized jar option for its faithful customers.

I bought this in hopes of finding a good moisturizer that would keep my skin hydrated without leaving me looking and feeling greasy. And let me tell you! This did not disappoint! This stuff is incredible! It’s lightweight, hydrating and leaves an amazing glow to the skin.

I’ve always used department store moisturizers before, Estee Lauder, Chanel, Bobbi Brown, LaPraire, LaMer, just to name a few. And of course Sephora…this stuff beats them all! I loved it so much, I bought 4 jars just to make sure I didn’t run out anytime soon.

A little goes a long way, if you use more than a dime/nickel amount then you WILL feel greasy. It doesn’t take much. I’ve finally found my holy grail for daytime moisturizer. Please please Skinceuticals, don’t ever discontinue this!.

I struggled with hormonal acne back in 2019, usually was deep cystic acne underneath my skin on the chin/mouth and cheek area. Nothing I did really help, I double cleansed, exfoliated, used toner, serums, moisturizer and sunscreen, granted these helped all my other skin problems but couldnt help bring the cystic acne to the surface.

This buffering lotion did just that, although it didn’t get rid of the acne exactly, it was the only thing that actually allowed the underneath acne to come to a white/pimple head, and from there I just put on an acne patch to help prevent myself from popping it and scarring my face.

It may seem like a lot more acne is coming from this product but like I said, it is bringing all the already forming acne to the surface (should only be a concern if acne is forming in new places you don’t usually break out from so for me it would be my nose and forehead but do NOT use this product all over your face), so it helps speed up the acne aging process basically and allows for the skin cells turnover to be rapid basically.

How to use: I only used this product at night as idk if sun sensitivity is a thing with this. But I personally double cleansed my face by using an oil cleanser and a basic one such as a foam or gel, really depends on skin type.

Once that is done, I put nothing else on before this!!! This buffering lotion can be very drying, so please only use a Q-tip to place product on where you have acne and where you get it, don’t put it all over your face only where your acne is!!! Then I just either placed the drying lotion this brand sells by using a Q-tip and once again placing it on active again I can see or I just left it at that and did not put anything else on my face.

Once the acne comes to a white head you can “pop”, put on an acne patch for at least 8 hours and it should get rid of it, if it doesn’t just put another one. Hormonal acne can be really hard to get rid of so it may take a couple tries with the acne patch.

Then just repeat the process until acne is gone which can take a while. You can use your serums, exfoliators and stuff in the morning, do this buffering lotion at night.

I have been using this on and off for ten years, it’s the only thing that I’ve found that actually reduces inflammation/redness/tenderness. and a lot of times the spot itself will go away without coming to the surface as to not scar.

I don’t have serious cystic acne anymore, but get small pimples every now and then. and this works great for those too. I never travel without it. I make sure my face is clean and dry when applying, no moisturizer.

Only apply where you need and let it sit and dry before applying anything on top. This helps it work much faster. Be consistent and gentle, let it heal on its own. Sometimes towards the end, after using this for 7+ days the skin will get flakey and dry.

Obviously if you have stubborn cystic acne you should probably see a dermatologist, don’t wait and risk scarring your face. This is great but won’t stop whatever is causing it.

I have been battling cystic acne for a decade. Usually I poke and prod and often just make it worse and it gives me pretty bad indented scars. So when I bought this I was like, eh prolly won’t work but worth trying.

Oh my god! I had two identical, very angry under the surface cystic spots that hurt so badly. I dripped this product on them, let it dry and did it once more. Woke up with them nearly entirely painless, and completely flattened.

Shocking. How is a product that should be so drying (alcohol is the first ingredient) work so well!!!!???? No clue but please try it if you struggle with under the surface, painful cysts!.

After so many complaints in 2008, OLAY finally brought back the only true good version of Olay SPF 15 WITH Zinc Oxide for Sensitive skin. I kept stocking up for years, dreading the moment OLAY would forget the lesson of 2008 and again try to modify the tried and true formula for sensitive skin.

Here is the lesson from history: In 2008 Olay decided to change the formula of this same skin sensitive lotion and replace it with a higher SPF lotion that contained ingredients that super irritated those of us with sensitive skin.

In the process of doing this, Olay abandoned support for us and it was such a disaster for us that our trusted formula was replaced, leaving us with no good option. I remember thousands of people wrote to Olay to bring back this same true and trusted formula.

It took a few months but Olay did indeed bring this formula back to the relief of so many who depended on it, like me. I am just writing this to remind everyone and Olay how much we rely on this exact formulation of lotion and just how miserable so many were back then when it was discontinued for a few months.

Now in 2023, I turn around and find OLAY has made the SAME MISTAKE as 2008, trying to push harsh products on us when all we want and need is the original sensitive formula, the one with Zinc Oxide. I have searched around before all is lost to try and stock up on 10 years supply even though most will be expired, at least I will not be totally out of a formula that DOES NOT BREAK OUT MY SKIN.

BEGGING OF YOU TO PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL SENSITIVE FORMULA.

I absolutely love this product! This is my favorite moisturizing company, I use this cream and the original Pink cream that comes in the jar. They are both extremely pleasant and smell and in how it feels on the skin.

I like to use this one especially if I’m going out and about. But to be completely honest I am absolutely in love with the Olay original Pink cream that has the light floral scent. It has been around since the 1950s and it’s been around for a reason.

I can’t seem to find that product on here to review but 1000% recommend. Both of these are very inexpensive, which is more than I can say for all the new varieties that they’re coming out with but both of these have been around for a long time which means that they still are known to work and you don’t have to spend as much money to get the same result in my opinion.

I would totally recommend this to anybody, I have very sensitive skin and I break out very easily. Neither this nor the original Pink cream has made me break out and it’s just very refreshing on the face and the neck.

Again I would totally recommend this to anybody.

My hunt for the perfect sunscreen for my combo/mature skin started many years ago. I tried this on a whim and it is my go to. I’ve been through probably 10+ bottles of it. For me, sunscreen tends to make my face oily and my makeup doesn’t wear well over it.

Sometimes sunscreen doesn’t mix well with my other skin care products. This doesn’t do any of those things. It is a moisturizer and sunscreen combined and for whatever reason it works for me! It plays well with my other products and my makeup wears nicely over it.

It is affordable and easily accessible. I think at this point I’ve tried every sunscreen on the market both high end and drugstore and I always go back to this. I wish I didn’t fall for the hype of every new sunscreen because they never work as well as this one and they never beat the price.

So if sunscreen doesn’t work for you, give this one a try.

This. THIS is the best cream for my oily and acne prone skin that is dealing with hyperpigmentation. I can use this both winter and summer. This cream is quite extraordinary. I don’t know how MAELOVE concoct this.

Looking just the ingredients, It’s like meh to me you know? Just ehh it’s alright. There aren’t like major amazing ingredients like peptide and or resveratrol or ceramides. However, it is just the best cream out there for me.

It is moisturizing without being greasy or feeling like something is on my face. I wake up in the morning with no peeling, since I do use tretinoin. Please make it in a bigger bottle or in like a pumper! I want more! :D.

This is my second time buying this. I love the nighttime glycolic acid cream, but this one is also good. I use it over a hydrating toner and my brightening serum, and it never pills. It is lightweight and nice for warm weather.

My combination/oily skin rarely flakes, so I can’t comment on how it would work for truly dry skin. It does take time to absorb, which is my only complaint. But I have applied light coverage foundation before it’s dry without issue.

I’ve had super oily skin all my life. Now that I’m older, I’m not as oily as i once was. Up to now I hadn’t ever found a moisturizer that worked well with my skin and makeup. Makeup usually melted on my face due to mass oil production on my part.

The Maelove Plush Cream works perfectly for me. It moisturizes, it’s not sticky, but gives me enough moisture and works well with my makeup. I don’t look oily and that’s exactly what I want! I just ordered my second jar.

Btw it works with my serums and Maelove vitamin c product as well! Love it!.

I like this moisturizer. I have very oily skin. I don’t really think it’s matte because my face still shines after using it. Which doesn’t bother me at all but if you’re buying it for the matte finish it personally didn’t work for me so do with that information what you will.

It’s also very expensive. Like I want to say $20 or $30 something I can’t remember it’s been a few months since I got it. I would definitely just get cetaphil or cerave next time. Much cheaper and dermatologist approved.

OVERALL the product is good and if you have the money go for it.

For years this matte moisturizer was my go to moisturizer. I’d use it every day. Merle Norman skin products are absolutely amazing. This moisturizer is definitely more one of the more expensive moisturizers on the market, but you need so little for your face that the bottle will last you a long time.

I would put it on every morning, and the bottle would typically last me about six months. I’d say that this moisturizer would be good for most people with normal to dry skin who live in most climates.

However, I have started to use another brand of moisturizer lately just because my skin has struggled during the dry winters where I live.

I have very sensitive skin. Most every cleanser or cosmetic causes red rash itching and inflammation. My skin is also oily leaving me with large pores. This Merle Norman is the only moisturizer I can use.

This moisturizer feels good and soothes red irritated skin plus minimizes pores I will not use any other.

I damaged my moisture barrier by using too many actives. As a result my usually clear skin became congested with closed comodones and pimples, as well as dryness and itchyness. I needed to simplify my skincare routine and add products that’s would help restore my skin barrier.

I heard about this and I’m so glad I did. This has 3 ceramides and hyaluronic acid that are perfect for my skins needs. This hasn’t irritated my skin either, which ALOT of product’s have been doing. I love that this contain’s niacinamide, it help’s with my acne but doesn’t irritate or dry out my skin.

The left side of my face is completely clear now and my right side has shown a lot of improvement. This is a lightweight moisturizer so it’s great for people with oily skin. I have dry skin so I layer petroleum/Vaseline to retain the moisture in my dry skin.

This is a must for repairing a damaged moisture barrier or for beginner retinol user’s.

I’ve struggled my whole life with every bad skin problem you can think of- clogged pores, acne, blackheads, oily skin, dry skin, dry skin that’s still somehow oily. Most products left my face damaged.

They either dried me out, or made me a blemish prone grease ball. I just wanted something that would both hydrate and nourish my skin, while also addressing the excessive oil and blemishes. This was the solution I was looking for.

This is a high quality, silky, almost buttery cream that glides over the surface of your skin. Sometimes, the toner I use can make my skin feel a bit tight and inflamed- especially if I’ve gotten any sun that day.

Applying this after is like diving into a crisp pool after a long, hot day in the sun. It immediately soothes my skin. It’s light weight, moisturizing, and because of it’s acne fighting ingredients, it’s the perfect moisturizer for acne prone skin like mine.

I wanted to LOVE this product but the price is outrageous for what it is, and I actually hate to say that. However, to me personally when it comes to body lotions, a $50 lotion – and mind you, I got it on sale for $27.

50 – even then to me, is pushing it. But, I was like it’s a clean product etc etc. The thing is that there’s little to no scent and what is a scent, isn’t altogether terrific. Sorry, but that’s my honest feedback and I hate to be negative but I’d hate to see someone pay full price.

The lotion itself will not keep you hydrated all day. I have oily skin and live in 10000 degrees in New Orleans – if I got dry, anyone is getting dry on this. Maybe I got a bad batch? IDK but I do not see how on earth it’s this expensive, even with high quality ingredients, I just don’t.

if they dropped this to like competitively be priced around drunk elephant’s sili for example at $20 – okay yeah for sure go forth, but sadly this is a hard no and return for me. bummer.

This was my first time ordering this cream directly from their site and I received a foul lotion, smell was rancid and texture weird and broken. When I emailed this company they refused to refund my money, only option was to send product back or have them resend.

With all their claims about the planet and zero waste this was super hypocritical! The product was bad, refund the money without waste should be the only option!!! I also made a complaint in the same email that 5 little products were sent in a MASSIVE box unwrapped, not only was that very wasteful, all the caps were broken and products smashed.

The company never addressed this, they ignored it and never resolved the problem with my rancid cream.

Don’t be fooled by the price of these products. they rival and possibly outperform other skin care products that cost 5 to 10 times more. I have spent considerable time learning about and trying out many skin care products from a variety of brands at many different price points 🙀, yes.

As a result, I have begun to provide skin care recommendations to my teenage nieces and nephews oh, their friends, their friends parents, and yes– even grandparents regarding a Myriad of concerns including oily skin, dry flaky skin, cystic acne, hyperpigmentation (fancy word for dark spots on skin), wrinkles, under-eye circles, etc I was super excited to discover Bubble products.

Firstly, they are well priced. Secondly, their ingredient list is packed with skin loving, gentle and very effective extracts, oils, vitamins, niacinamide, hyaluronic and other acids. Thirdly, they are packaged attractively and effectively.

Fourthly, yes. there is more – they offer both education and guidance with regard to your skin. I bought a couple of sets and gave them to: My 13 year old niece who has enlarged pores, blackheads, and some acne.

She was using a different product that was not helping and it was stripping her skin. She got the Balancing Bundle. She used the cleanser, toner and moisturizer. Like many people who have oily or acne-prone skin, she didn’t know how important important moisturizer was in her skin routine.

She loves the packaging! She keeps the toner in her backpack. Two weeks later, her skin looks and feels so much better and she is more confident. Way cool! Next, a 24 year old pregnant woman with hormonal acne and patches of dry skin.

She got the hydrating bundle and uses the moisturizer at night. She loves the way her skin feels in the morning and likes using the toner throughout the day to keep her skin in check. Win #2 Me, of course! I don’t like to recommend products that I haven’t tried and it gave me an excuse to treat myself to a fun and highly rated new product.

I love that the brand is directed at young adults as I had no clue what to do with my face I was in my teens. I sure as hell could have used Bubble. Where were you when I needed you?! You are forgiven because my skin is thoroughly enjoying this experience.

The cleanser is gentle, my skin feels clean, and it is not stripping. The toner is my new best friend and I reach for it two, three or sometimes four times a day. This is a great supplement to an anti-aging routine (not that I’m aging😏).

Not knowing where to start or how to move forward (in skin care and in life) is a confusing place to be. C-.

My skin has ALWAYS been so temperamental. A good skincare routine for my crazy face was so hard to come by that I honestly gave up years ago. I saw an ad for Bubble a month or so ago and figured maybe it was time to try to tame my face.

I was SKEPTICAL. I went to walmart because bubble is conveniently there — yay! I got the smaller travel sizes just to try. Before I started bubble I had mixed oily/dry on my cheeks and SUPER oily on my forehead, t-zone, and chin.

I had acne on my face and neck. The first thing I noticed upon unboxing was fragrance. there is none! This made me so excited because my skin does not agree with strong fragrances that a lot of other skin care products have.

The face cleanser Doesn’t have a mega amount of bubbles and it Doesn’t leave my face feeling extra dry. The toner actually has a light smell of roses but it’s like a hint and it feels so refreshing. Most important to me is the moisturizer.

I’ve gotten moisturizers that were either like water or really really thick and oily. The bubble moisturizer is a very happy medium. it’s not like water and it’s not like I’m caking grease on my face lol.

Thank god! Best part out of all of this is I haven’t had my normal break outs. My pores aren’t like craters, my black heads aren’t running wild, and I haven’t had any white heads yet. Pizza face no more! My face loves you bubble skincare, thank yoooou!.

When I found this gel cream a couple years ago, I knew I found a jewel. It was perfect – the packaging, the product, the oil-free hydration results, the consistency. It was an absolute & immediate life saver from all the greasy moisturizers I had used in the past that made my face look wet, but still left my skin dry and dehydrated.

This gel cream was the missing piece that I needed to truly elevate my skin & care routine. I have a few unopened jars left in my stash from my previous re-up. But I loved this product so much, I decided to purchase a few more to add to the bunch.

As soon as I opened the box, I knew something was wrong. Problem 1 — the jar was different. They changed from the cool blue, transparent glassy looking jar to this basic blue container that looks just like the packaging of some other drugstore products I won’t mention.

Problem 2 — I popped the seal on the jar, and was immediately met with a fragrance. I don’t even know if I can label it a fragrance because it smells sort of chemical-ly. A faint smell, but a smell nonetheless.

One of the best things about the old version of the product was that it was fragrance/odor less which was super helpful for my sensitive skin. Problem 3 — They’ve changed the ingredients! I dabbed a bit on my face and hand.

The viscosity is obviously different with the change. The previous product was light, but still managed to have a little thickness/weight to it that felt very cooling and super hydrating while also protective in terms of coverage once applied.

The prior consistency matched the “gel cream” label. Now, this just feels super thin. They should call it “watery gel”. Doesn’t feel like I’ve applied anything at all, but it somehow simultaneously drying.

When making product purchases online, I will often compare the ingredient list on a bottle I have at home to the one on site because I’ve been through this enough times to know these brands lack integrity and transparency standards particularly when they’re trying to make cuts on quality to save a buck.

They’re never transparent about that. And would you know it. Kiehl’s is no exception. The only reason I placed this order a few days ago was because the ingredient lists at home and on site read the same.

Now that I have the updated product in hand, I can see their website is inaccurate. They’ve added a “new” sticker on their product landing page next to the product image. but they’re STILL showing the old ingredient list on site as of 4//7/21.

You mean to tell me someone had enough time to add the “new” sticker but couldn’t update the ingredient lists as well? These brands are so shady. Maybe someone will see this review and actually update it.

Who knows. At this point, I’m not sure what the $32 product price tag covers, because it surely isn’t for packaging, oil free hydration, consistency or even transparency. This should be obvious, but this product is going back.

I’ll take my time finding a replacement while I use up my stash (luckily a little goes a long way). This is a warning, STAY AWAY from this product. Lastly, it’s important, but probably not surprising to note, I submitted this review to the Kiehl’s website twice for posting and it was rejected because it didn’t meet their “website guidelines”.

Take from that what you will. Shoutout to Google for allowing me to share my honest experience.

I really really like this facial cream! I honestly thought it wasn’t gonna be worth much mainly because my spoiled self looks at packaging before I buy or get a product and this was pretty plain. I know better then to judge a book by it’s cover but still I look for fun packaging and pretty stuff! This product may have been plain on the outside or not my typical facial cream packaging but not does it work and make your face feel amazing! I opened it and the container reminded me almost of a chest rub I’ve used for years when sick.

Once I got that out of my head I realized this stuff is it’s own little gem. I really love the feel and how it doesn’t leave my face feeling icky or sticky. With this humid heat in MO I am picky picky about what I apply before going outside since I don’t want it too feel heavy or when I’m working outside and sweat it runs into my eyes.

Not a problem for me here. If this makes sense it give a moisturizer feeling yet drys quickly not leaving a product residue. I strongly suggest this product it’s definitely a great find. Doesn’t have a strong scent and layers good under my make up.

The oil free part really made my skin happy! I really like the more gel feel vs a white cream as well cleanse easy. A little goes a long way!!.

As someone with extremely oily skin, I always have to debate about whether or not to moisturize. I know the importance of moisturizing but it’s so frustrating applying moisturizer and looking greasy within 30 minutes.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream honestly surprised me because it works very well with my skin. The consistency is very smooth and lightweight. After I applied it to my skin, it dried down to a matte finish which I LOVE.

This is the only moisturizer that actually held up throughout the day, I was noticeably less oily than I normally am. The product came at a great time because my skin had some dry patches from a new face wash and this definitely revived my skin.

While I could rave about this even longer, I do want to note a flaw. As someone else has mentioned, the 1. 7oz size is SMALL. For $32, you’re definitely going to through this quick. I love the formula but I don’t know if I’d want to go and have to repurchase it multiple times.

With that said, a little goes a long way so I’m hoping to get as much use out of it as I can. Overall, I really enjoy this moisturizer and if you’re someone who has been looking for something that won’t make you greasy, I recommend trying this out!.

Guys, this is not meant for dry skin! So many reviews are misleading because of that. Dry skin obviously need a different kind of hydration than oily skin. I’ve been using this as a day moisturizer during my pregnancy since I can’t use anything with salicylic acid.

The texture is a gel like, lightweight, and it has the typical tea tree smell. I don’t suffer with acne but do get blemishes (specially in pregnancy) and it definitely kept blemishes at bay the whole time.

What it didn’t do though was helping with oiliness. Surprisingly my t-zone got more oily throughout the day. It is not a bad product but I don’t think I’d repurchase again since I am not necessarily the target for it.

I bought the entire Teatreement collection (cleanser, toner, and moisturizer). I use it on my chest and back which is where I get acne. In the shower is when I use the cleanser, then when I get out I apply the toner and then the moisturizer.

This is the best stuff I have tried so far for my body acne! And I have tried sooo many products. I will give an honorable mention to Glow Recipes strawberry acne serum, but Dr JART is even better because it doesn’t leave a sticky residue behind which is important for me because I have to put clothes over my target areas.

I highly recommend the entire collection. They all work so well together.

If you’re struggling with a sudden onset of breakouts, or are looking for something to help calm more long-standing blemishes then I’d really recommend trialing this kit. Dr. Jart has provided the perfect routine in trial form to really give you everything you need for a simple and straightforward skincare regime to help reduce breakouts and congestion.

This has worked so well on quite inflamed and cystic breakouts as well as whiteheads, bringing down the redness and really helping to clear and keep away new spots too. What I love is that it does all of this without stripping the skin; so many spot treatments leave the skin clutching for moisture but you still get all that goodness you need for healthy skin with the Teatreetment formulations.

This was the first Yon-Ka product I tried. I received a tiny sample from my aesthetician (who uses Yon-Ka products for my facials) and I have never looked back. It has such a lovely sent, and it is not because there is added fragrance.

This is simply the natural ingredients that give me a boost every time I use it. It is a citrusy sent that is not overbearing (IMO). The cream sinks into my skin very quickly and moisturizes my skin leaving no greasy or sticky residue behind.

It actually leaves me with almost a matte finish. I have never experienced any type of reaction or breakout and I have ridiculously sensitive skin. I think I will always have this on hand!.

I love the whole Phyto line, and Phyto 52 is one of my favorites. I make sure I always have some available to include in my rotating evening skincare. I love this one particularly if I wash my face earlier in the evening but don’t need sunscreen anymore.

It has a mood-lifting scent, and is moisturizing but light enough to even wear out and about for the evening and then straight to bed. If I need extra moisture with it, I can use a booster. It livens up my skin, but is not harsh.

Several years ago, this Yon-Ka product was suggested to me. I had used other Yon-Ka products, had always had dark circles and thoughts, why not? The dark circles are genetic for me and no amount of sleep would erase them.

However, by using this under eye cream twice a day, they virtually disappear. Rosemary is one of the ingredients which has a distinctive scent and also is the reason the blood vessels contract and the dark circles recede.

Combined with a soothing cream, the under eye area stays soft and supple. Do apply carefully so the Rosemary doesn’t get in your eye. An excellent product. The little tube lasts quite awhile and is well worth the results.

One of the most heavenly skin care products i have ever used. Its Vitamin B rich and a super food for your skin. Melts into my skin so perfectly. There’s no question why some call the the white diamond.

Leaves me with a subtle dewy finish and my face loves it. It’s such a great addition to my daily and i would highly recommend it for anyone wanting beautiful skin.

This organic wrinkle reducer does it all: deeply moisturizes, smoothes, tones, plumps, and soothes! I use this with my retinol to reduce inflammation dryness. Smells fresh, feels like a light balm, concentrated (a little goes a long way).

Results are immediate and improve with regular use.

So I heard about Lexli through a podcast, and I decided to give it a try. I really want to love it, but it’s so thick it feels like I’m rubbing peanut butter on my face. It takes a lot of elbow grease to get it evenly distributed on the skin and I just don’t like that.

I haven’t been using it long enough to give a good review of how the product actually works, but the ingredients aren’t bad so I’m hopeful. I will continue using and plan to try other Lexli products in the future.

For my skin this moisturizer is not too heavy nor too light. I use it twice a day and after cleansing with aloe cleanser. I notice less sebum buildup. Realizing there is no broad spectrum SPF in it is worth noting but not a problem as several minutes after moisturizing I apply a 30-50 spf.

I personally was not able to use day moisturizer spf 15 or 30 as it did not agree with my skin. This has solved that problem! I highly recommend this product!.

My favorite Lexli product. Perfect amount of daytime moisture, spf protection is great, and I love the smell. Skin looks and feels amazing
