20 Best Lotion For Edema Legs (2023 Updated)

I was using a 40% urea gel to help with folliculitis and it had been recommended for malassezia. Although it worked, it left my skin uncomfortably tight and dry. I was using the Intensive Moisture lotion, and found this when I went to buy more.

I had been using a foot cream with a high urea content, but it was too thick to use all over. I’m not sure what the urea content is, but it has made my skin incredibly smooth, and I have been applying it all over.

It has totally changed the texture of my skin, and exfoliating in the shower seems to be more effective than before. I noticed that it started fading the purple-ish scars I had leftover from healing breakouts and saw the sunscreen warning for AHAs.

Lactic acid is in the ingredients, which is great for evening out skin tone. I just wish they would put the percentage concentrations of their active ingredients, like lactic acid and urea, instead of just listing them.

I’ve been using it on my face and it doesn’t irritate my skin at all. I apply it very sparingly, otherwise it feels incredibly sticky, and I’ve found it absorbs best after showering. A little goes a long way, like most of Eucerin’s creams, and it has been a great relief for my skin.

I’m going to order the Roughness Relief cream next.

This lotion is amazing. I have tried countless lotions since I was a teenager. I’m 32 now. I have highly sensitive/allergy skin. Also have eczema which has worsened with age. Every lotion Ive used I see mild results for a hour or two.

Sometimes they seem to just sit on top of my skin but never really penatrate. I’ve been using this lotion for two weeks now and my skin is the healthiest it’s been since I was a teenager. It’s glowing, smooth and so soft.

I apply it every other day. My eczema has settled as well I am highly allergic to alot of plants. My job is working with plants lol I always joke I love plants but they dont like me. I was covered in a rash 24/7 on both my arms and face from contact with various lily pollen/sap(very allergic to plants in this genus.

I develop respiratory symtoms as well which are less bad as long as I hold my breath around the while they are in bloom) and from saps of various other plants. This lotion really seems to help heal/smooth out the contact dermatitis and almost act as a barrier cream.

I took a chance starting to apply it to my face as well and let me just say I haven’t seen the skin on my face look so lively in about 4 years. I’ve bought a whole ton of facial lotions, serums, anti aging, vitamins, washes, and masks yet this it the winner.

Acne gone, rough patches gone, dryness gone, fine lines that have developed recently incredibly diminished! I feel so much more confident. This stuff is wonderful! I will say this lotion leaves me feeling pretty sticky for a very long time after applying.

Which is the only con. It feels gross and I hate it. And if it did not have such visible results I would absolutely not be using it due to this reason. Not a fan of that part of it at all. I’d say takes about 12 hours for that to go away so I apply it at night.

So, this product was rebranded in I want to say 2016 or 2017. The whole Derma E line was changed. The packaging, and apparently the product recipe, too. This used to come in a large round container that you screwed the top off of.

It was more expensive of a body lotion than I had paid for before but it was PERFECT. It sank into my skin perfectly, and there was no watery-esque nature to it. It just completely moisturized my skin and made me look great, I coveted it.

That has changed since, and it is more watery in nature, it doesn’t feel as quality. I preferred the old packaging too, it was simpler. I think I still use it out of nostalgia. Please use the old formula!.

This lotion is ok, but not moisturizing enough for my very dry skin. It has an interesting consistency. Kind of thick, but not at all heavy, oily or greasy. Kind of like a water cream for the body. I expected it to be more moisturizing because it contains shea butter and vitamin E.

However, it seems to just sink into the skin and disappear right away. On the positive side, the ingredients look great. In addition to vitamin E and shea, it contains glycerin, sodium hylauronate, panthenol, aloe and green tea extracts, as well as several plant oils.

Also, the lavender and neroli scent is nice, light and natural smelling. Bottom line: might work for someone with normal skin, but it’s just not enough for my very dry skin. Derma E Vitamin E Lavender Neroli Therapeutic Shea Body Lotion.

For those complaining about the smell, it’s a chemical exfoliant with aha and oatmeal and urea to name a few. It’s an excellent product for what you need it for. The smell is not strong, it just has a similar smell like a self tanning product.

But if you want to exfoliate your skin and smooth it and get rid of the bumps or for what I use it for is the alpha hydroxy acid is excellent for getting rid of crepey dry skin. The smell is minor compared to the benefits.

It doesn’t last and wears off quickly. If you really can’t stand it then use some scented lotion on top and just use this for your problem areas. Or some perfume. But I’m telling you, your skin will get toned and youthful real quick with this lotion and use sparingly.

The main complaint I have is the price point for what you get. So I use it on upper arms and top and inside thighs, where the sun damage is. It even seems to get rid of the sun spots that have popped up in recent years.

I used the KP scrub first in the shower. I had lost 50 lbs recently and really needed to tighten up some stretch marks and it’s working after only a couple of weeks. I probably won’t buy it again because it’s done its job and now I’ll switch to Shea butter.

I came here specifically to buy this lotion after using it in the bye-bye bumps box and I was shocked at the rating! This is the best lotion I’ve used – seriously. And I’ve been searching for a good lotion for SO LONG.

I’m Filipino and French which equates to thick hair and dry skin. This lotion not only makes my skin feel good it makes it LOOK good. And I didn’t even notice the smell that’s giving this such a low rating.

I’ve used far more expensive face oils that have smelled worse than this. It also could potentially be individuals skin as acids can interact to create different smells. I hope this lotion doesn’t go anywhere any time soon because I’ve finally found my go-to.

Okay, hear me out. My entire life I’ve avoided products specifically targeted towards KP because I always thought that it was just a gimmick and wouldn’t actually work and just sought out products with ingredients that I had looked into in peer reviewed research articles.

I decided to pick this (and the scrub) up on a whim when I was shopping and when I tell you nothing has worked better for my KP I genuinely mean it. Of course the bumps are not completely gone, but the improvements made so far are so much more than I could have wished! It does smell a bit like formaldehyde (shoutout to my first year anatomy lab) right out of the bottle but the smell disappears right after rubbing it in; personally, I think its worth it so that im able to wear a short sleeved shirt out of the house for the first time in a long time.

This lotion was recommended by my grandmother during my last pregnancy. The weight gain always wreaks havoc on my joints, particularly my knees. The pain was becoming excessive and the medications I am willing or able to take during pregnancy are limited.

I stared rubbing this into my legs twice a day. First before getting out of bed in the morning and again before going sleep at night. It made a noticeable difference in the level of pain, especially during the night.

I’m on my legs the majority of the day chasing after a boisterous toddler. I find by the time bedtime rolls round my legs and ankles are really feeling the toll of the day and even when I wake in the mornings! The box says that this is an “uplifting gel which provides refreshing relief, helping to reduce puffiness in legs feet and ankles”.

I (at the moment) and fortunately not suffering with puffy or swollen ankles so I can’t comment on that but I do suffer with tense, achy muscles and restless legs and the tingling cooling sensation has defiantly helped with those feelings.

It smells delicious minty menthol and that in itself soothes and relaxes me. I highly rate this product.

This has helped so much! I suffer particularly with dry skin and very itchy legs during pregnancy, and having sensitive skin means I’m limited to what I can use. This product has been amazing at soothing my legs when the itching has been almost unbearable.

It has a fresh menthol scent and an instantly cooling effect when applied. While the intended use it to reduce puffiness and soothe tired muscles I would definitely also recommend to soothe irritation.

I had been looking for an efficient body lotion before I found this Lubriderm. Unlike other brands, which feel like they never dry and then you’re left with sticky legs, this one soaks in and keeps my skin soft all day.

It moisturizes for 24 hours, so that is beneficial. It has done more than I was expecting. It’s the therapeutic lotion I use every day. It doesn’t matter, day or night, winter or summer, fall or spring.

I use this skin moisturizer each and every day to maintain suppleness and protection. Because it’s fragrance-free, I use a little musk oil to add a gentle aroma. The only complaint about these pump dispensers is that a lot of lotion is left at the bottom.

I would end up cutting the bottom of the bottle and scrapping it into a travel bottle. Overall, I am happy with the results. Highly recommend !!!.

Started using this for my daughter with sensitive skin. She suffers from eczema was having really bad breakouts all over her back, bottom legs. I tried a bunch of stuff, aveeno included nothing helped.

Some irritated her skin more. I asked around someone suggested I try this, I’ve been using it ever since. This is the only lotion she uses. It does great locking in moisture. It’s not oily doesn’t leave a sticky feeling behind either.

It’s thick but not super thick. This helped relieve her eczema now that she’s been using consistently she no longer has breakouts. Even the scaring from old breakouts have gone away. It doesn’t smell the best, smells medical but I don’t mind.

It gets the job done for sure! If anyone is suffering from bad eczema breakouts I definitely recommend this!.

Lubriderm is a 5 star lotion. I have never been a lotion fan because of the greasy feel left on your skin after you use it. Lubriderm does not leave a greasy feel but does moisturize your skin. Years ago Lubriderm lotion was recommended by a dermatologist to my parent following healing of several burns.

I have tried other lotions but Lubriderm is the very best. We always keep two bottles on hand. It cost more than other lotions but it’s worth it.

This product is distributed by the same company that distributes Nivea in the U. S. and it is made in Mexico as well. The only difference is that it had slightly less ingredients, and it is fragrance free.

It is also paraben and dye free as well (for those interested in such things). I never tried the one that came with the white cap, instead I have the one with the red cap and new packaging, so I can’t speak on whether the formula in the old packaging happens to work better than the one in the new packaging.

But, I can say that I absolutely love this stuff like crazy! I have gone through so many moisturizers to help with my super dry, very flaky, really itchy, super irritated skin for so long until I finally decided to give this product a try and I can definitely say without a doubt this is the best face and body moisturizer, I’ve ever come across.

I have very sensitive, dry-to-very dry, acne prone skin. Plus, I suffer with eczema from head to toe. And, I am prescribed topical medications, which does involve Retin A (tretinoin). Some people may be against the use of mineral oil in their skincare products, but it honestly I’ve it’s one of the best ingredients when it comes to best moisturizing very dry, super irritated skin, and helping to restore ones skin barrier.

So I’m going to keep using this wonderful gem of a product as long as Eucerin continues to make it. The product is virtually scentless. Yes, it is a very rich cream, but a little definitely goes a very long way with this stuff, so I am not heavy handed with this stuff at all.

Because, there’s absolutely no need to. I put it in small amounts on my face, rub it in and voila, it starts to do it’s magic instantly. I also have used it on different areas of my body and it just makes it feel so in incredibly smooth.

This definitely works much better than any steroid my dermatologist has ever prescribed for me to topically use. If you have very dry skin, if you have eczema, psoriasis, or happen to be on a retinoid (whether it happens to be Retin A or something else), I can’t recommend this enough for you to try this creme now! Oh, and I have not experienced any issues with it severely clogging my pores and breaking me out like crazy.

And, my skin is as super sensitive as it gets. Now, I don’t recommend anyone using this product on their face, if your face is already producing a whole lot of excess sebum ( i. e. ). However, you can most definitely use it on any areas below your face that happen to be dry, okay.

this moisturizer is absolutely amazing, so hydrating! I typically apply my regular lotion, wait a few minutes for it to dry and sink into my skin and then i will apply this product and it leaves my skin feeling amazing! It works wonders on feet as well, i have an issue with my toes where my toes grow under eachother (hammertoe) and so when i walk i step on my pinky toe and it is painful, i put a little bit of this lotion in between each toe and they glide across eachother and help ease my pain as well as totally soften my feet.

I have recently started using Eucerin Original Healing Rich Creme as part of my daily beauty routine. I have found dry patches around my eyebrows and hair line as well as on the palms of my hands. This thick, rich creme seems to really help with the scaliness and itchiness of these areas.

It is a nice large jar (16 ounces) and I think it will last me a very long time, making it well worth the price.

Got this a few weeks ago. I thought I was purchasing a moisturizer. While it is supposed to moisturize, it appears it’s primary purpose is pail relief. I have little to no foot pain but I will continue to use to see how it works.

I bought this for my mother who suffers from burning feet at night. She said this did not help her at all. Also, she doesn’t like the greasy feel that it leaves on her skin. She can’t tolerate shoes, socks or slippers on her feet once they start burning, so she feels like she’ll leave greasy foot prints on floor or carpet after she rubs this on.

I’m so pleased to be able to purchase Gehwohl products at Nordstrom. Gehwohl Lipidro Cream is actually my favorite, the cream helps to keep my feet warm.

Used this product in the past and it worked well. This year’s lotion is much thinner and gets absorbed in the skin much faster and consequently dries out much faster. Not the same quality product anymore.

i think this Hydrolipid Lotion is great. Light, energizing, a tube lasts for long time , I use it mostly for my feet and lower legs. I have had a problem of scaly skin in front between ankles and knees.

I believe this lotion really helps with this issue. Now it is Triple Point time so I am going to buy two more tubes.

I received a free product of the Remedy Dermatology Series Moisturizing Body Lotion from Pinchme and I was amazed at how well it kept my skin soft. I had never heard of this brand before so I was excited to try it.

I didn’t use this product consistently enough to see an effect on any varicose veins but it definitely does make your legs feel a lot better with the arnica. It gives it a slight refreshing tingle and smells great.

it moisturizes for quite a while as well. So far I’ve bought about four bottles of this stuff over the years and plan on continuing to do so.

Avena Arnica is a great product, the smell is a but strong but its not too overwhelming. When having leg pains or tired legs i’ll use it and it helps make them feel better. I would recommend massaging into your legs.

Its an affordable product with no reason to not buy it.

My dermatologist recommended this product for my thin skin and excessive bruising on my arms. I initially used the cream, which I love, but with my arthritic hands, it is sometimes hard to squeeze out of the tube.

The pump is so much easier, and the lotion is very rich and moisturizing. My arms are so much softer, with very rare bruising. I must be honest that it is winter and my arms are covered most of the time, so I hope I have the same results this summer.

Also, I have always used moisturizer on my arms daily, but with this addition, they are definitely better. The texture of my 69 year old sun damaged arms is softer.

First of all, like so many of Oars other products, this smells AMAZING! It keeps my skind hydrated very well and doesn’t leave a greasy or oily feel. My elbows are the only dry spot on me and within a week they were noticeably softer.

This summer I visited a friend of my Mom in Europe. As we were sitting in her garden I noticed her terribly swollen feet, it was so bad that you could not even make out where her ankles where, there was so much swelling.

I went to the store to buy her a bottle of the Clarins Energizing Emulsion and instructed her to use it once or twice a day all over her feet, ankles and calves. I also recommended foot baths with Epsom salts, to give the body more Magnesium.
