20 Best Lotion For Eczema Baby (2023 Updated)

My baby was born 2020 and unfortunately developed eczema at 2 months old. Our pediatrician prescribed steroids but we were hesitant to use them but her outbreaks were so terrible that we used them nonetheless.

After weeks of using it, they didn’t even help so we stopped using them and reaserched many different creams, lotions and moisturizers. We tried just about everyone on the market and finally tried Aveeno eczema cream and omg what a difference!! The rashes went away within 3 days, she scratched significantly less and after 2 weeks, her skin was sooo much better! It’s the only moisturizer we use on her! We use it in conjunction with other aveeno eczema products and it’s totally transformed her skin.

We have peace of mind knowing it’s natural and no harsh chemicals like with the steroids. She is now 18 months and her skin is beautiful, we still use the cream on her as maintenance but she’s now able to wear shorts and dresses whereas before she had to be in long sleeve shirts and pants.

This is by far my favorite daily body lotion and I’ve used it for years. My mom uses the regular version of Aveeno lotion and bought this one by mistake a few years ago, so she gave it to me. I’ve never been too fond of the original, or of any lotion for that matter, because I thought that all of them gave me the same sticky feeling that didn’t go away (and would be even worse if it was hot outside).

Understandably, when I tried this I was shocked! It absorbs into the skin wonderfully and leaves behind no residue, even if you use a lot of it. My skin still feels like my skin after application, but in a nicer, softer, more moisturized way.

I use it on essentially my entire body every night and I’m good for the whole next day. Definitely get this if you’re like me and want the hydration without that “lotion-y” feeling. This product doesn’t contain SPF, so the only time I use a different lotion is in the morning if I need some for that purpose.

Even in that case, this formula is sheer enough that I don’t have any problems if I have to layer sunscreen or another lotion on top.

I made the mistake of combining ingredients on my under eye area that essentially caused a minor chemical burn (I think). For weeks I had penny-sized red circles under my eyes and it was dry, itchy, and started peeling.

my go-to bare-bones moisturizers (cerave and vanicream) did nothing to help, and even made it worse at times. I decided to try something for eczema since those address the same kind of symptoms. I found this and applied it.

i immediately felt relief from the itching but it took about 2 weeks of using only this on my eye area (and my sensitive, itchy neck) morning and night and reapplying maybe 2 times throughout the day when needed.

Now, the redness is gone, the itching is gone, and the skin is rejuvenated and no longer dry or peeling. I have tried so many different products on my daughter’s eczema over the past 5 years, and I was desperate to find something that actually worked well. Aveeno’s baby nighttime balm with colloidal oatmeal has been THE MOST effective for her skin.

When her eczema is “bad,” I apply it in the morning on top of her anti-itching Rx and it makes and keeps her skin softer almost all day, and helps keep the Rx from rubbing off of her skin. In the evening, I reapply the lotion (and meds if necessary) and put gloves/socks/pjs on her and the next morning her skin is SO MUCH BETTER.

We have tried so many other products which felt greasy, didn’t last very long, and didn’t work the miracles that this product has overnight. I’ve recommended this product to family and friends with the same issues, and they’ve started to use it too because it works for them.

I pretty much never write reviews for anything, but I am just so grateful for this product and how it has helped to improve my daughter’s quality of life because her skin doesn’t constantly hurt from bleeding and itching anymore.

Recently bought this for perioral dermatitis and it is amazing! Let me start by saying, I have extremely sensitive skin! My face reacted poorly to a new product that left my skin scaly, red, and bumpy.

I bought this because of the reviews and I trust Aveeno to have calming properties. This product did the trick to heal my perioral dermatitis and then some! I will say, I expected a different consistency before I bought it (think petroleum jelly) but nevertheless, this product worked to heal my skin issues.

I’ve actually still been using it at night (for about two weeks now) because I haven’t had a bad reaction to it at all and feel like it’s doing a good job with whatever it’s doing to my skin. My skin has never looked better.

Both My Son And I Love This Stuff. I Wash Him In Tubby Todd Baby Products And It Works Great, But Doesn’t Stay Moisturized And Works Well Like The Baby Balm Does. We Use It Several Times A Day On Him For His Severe Eczema On His Face, Which Startwd Because He Was On Formula.

Getting Rid Of Formula And Adding This To His Skin Daily Has Made It Go Away And Makes Him So Soft. We Won’t Ever Be Without It. I Did Get Attached By A Dog The Day Before Thanksgiving And The Only Thing That Gets Rid Of My Redness Is This Product.

My Thumb Has This Horribly Red Painful Knot Where My Thumb Didn’t Heal Very Well And It Takes Away The Redness And Makes It Hurt Way Less, Even Though It Was A Few Months Ago From The Incident. I’ve Put It On 3 Times Now On That Spot And It’s Lightened It Up Quite A Bit Over Night.

The best moisturizer around! I get extremely dry hands from working in water and doing regular house cleaning to changing diapers and washing hands frequently. This stuff helps immediately and overnight your skin barrier is almost repaired! I use all over hands, arms, feet, legs, belly, and on my litlle ones bodies and faces in the colder monthes.

It’s wonderful and I love that it isn’t filled with junk. Its simple and completely unscented.

I have very sensitive skin with eczema flareups. Particularly, I will get eczema on my hands and sometimes in my inner elbows and behind my knees. My hands will get super dry after washing them frequently and using hand sanitizer, to the point that my hands would be full of little cracks and cuts.

I’ve tried so many eczema creams and hand creams over the years. The one that was most effective on me was La Roche Posay’s Cicaplast Baume. However, I really wanted a clean alternative and after reading reviews online, purchased the Pipette during the Credo sale.

I’ve been going crazy with eczema on my face for months. I only use natural, cruelty free and if possible vegan options. Some things helped a little, then didn’t help then sometimes actually made it redder and more painful.

Ordered it as it’s Cetaphil Baby Daily Lotion and it’s the only scented lotion that my son can have without his eczema flaring up. We use Cetaphil Baby for years but I didnt realise it’s a different variety of what he normally have.

I thought he might react to it but no. It’s still gentle and more fragrant than the other one but I like this too, i think even better. I just love this baby scent on him than the unscented ones he was prescribed.

I have eczema and it’s been expensive getting prescription products. Cetaphil works great for off counter products! It provides the moisture that I need. The scent is light and it does not leave your skin feeling sticky either.

It’s super thick and very creamy. The application is good and provides a nice soothing feeling on my dry skin. The moisture lasts for a day or so, so you have to reapply daily. I did get relief for my eczema and didn’t experience any negative reactions like burning.

I haven’t tried this on my face, but I do recommend it for the body. I just wish it was more absorbent. You really have to work it into your skin. Overall it did it’s job.

I bought this Live Clean (Baby) eczema cream with my 18 month old in mind but i am happily taking it over to use on my winter skin as well. I have not been diagnosed with a particular skin condition but my winter skin is dry and terribly itchy.

This lotion is amazing! I originally purchased it for my baby’s delicate skin but I quickly found it’s amazing on mine too. I get really dry, scratchy hands and bouts of eczema in the fall/winter and this cream clears it up and leaves my hands immediately.

This is a great eczema cream for kids. It is definitely thicker and creamier than a lotion so I feel like it goes on better. It has a very light smell that honestly isn’t even noticeable. It goes on easily but you can feel where you have applied it.

It does not feel oily like some other products tend to feel. I think it has a fair price point especially considering it is silicone and petroleum free. That combined with it being hypoallergenic are worth ant extra expense to me since my kiddo is so sensitive.

This cream was the hero of our camping trip this weekend. We went hiking along a creek to find a swimming hole. On the way back, two of our party walked through a patch of nettles and I got about 20 mosquito bites.

We took turns slathering this all over each other when we got back to camp. It took the sting out of the nettles almost immediately. And it relieves the itching of my bites for a few hours before I get the urge to reapply.

I only wish I could fill my bathtub with this stuff and soak my whole body in it!.

I’ve been fighting itchy rashy eczema on my hands and it was spreading to my arms, and I had never had it in my life. This went on for 2 years, and my dermatologist put me on 3 or 4 different creams and/or steroid creams and none worked.

In the care package we received: 🌿AVEENO® Eczema Care Moisturizing Cream Triple Oat formula to reduce itch / irritation. Moisturizes to help strengthen skin’s natural barrier function / prevent the recurrence of extra dry skin.

Moisturizing cream burned on areas that we had an outbreak on, this did not go over well, but we alleviated the stinging with ice tried the cream on other areas that had minimum/no aggravation and there were no complaints.

The cream left skin hydrated well for non breakout areas but did little for areas where skin was experiencing a flare up. We support the product for use throughout stages of flareups and in between, to help with condition as personally I feel it is better than using steroids; however, this does not mean I also do not support medication, prescribed by a physician, when absolutely needed to help with healing quality of life since those are extremely prevalent for those suffering from this disease.

I recently purchased this for my kids. I live in Colorado where the weather is dry and so is mine and my kids skin. My son suffers from dry itchy skin but I work really hard to keep his skin comfortable and not itchy.

As I looked at the ingredients, I did notice that there’s not a huge ingredient list and I love that this is petrolatum based. I really thought this was going to be heavy but it’s really light. It’s light weight but effective.

It’s fragrance free but I do get a very slight oatmeal smell which is subtle and I like it. Keeps my son from from scratch his skin off and reduced water loss. Will repurchase!.

Once again I am going to repeat what I did about my other Aveeno product this is truly a great and wonderful brand. My eczema along with my daughter’s disappeared after only one day of use. I mean this is not prescription or over the counter but the quality speaks for itself and the performance does too with how effective and well this ‘normal’ high quality product truly is.

I had ring worm and seldom blue is supposed to cure. No it did not. But guess what? This Aveeno product provided relief and cure even though it did not intend. Thank you Aveeno! This truly is top quality grade for low price.

This didn’t help my baby’s eczema at all. Used it until the tube ran out to see if it made a difference and did nothing. Her eczema is bad but not super severe. Smells nice though.

Bought this for my bub with moderate eczema. It’s was useless – didn’t make it any better at all. I thought I’d give it a go but very expensive for something that doesn’t even slightly work. Also has a weird smell.

If I could give the eczema line a review, it would be 100 stars!! I have very severe allergies to about 10 chemicals commonly found in household products such as shampoos, conditioners, sunscreens, etc.

Exposure to these allergies makes my hands break out in a terrible and painful way. I started using the eczema line religiously, and it’s saved my hands. Not only has it sped up the healing time, but I’ve found that it also makes it slightly less likely that I’ll have a breakout due to minor exposure.

I’ve also noticed a decrease in scarring on my hands from prior breakouts. I also LOVE that it absorbs quickly and doesn’t feel thick or greasy like other products. I’m a work from home mom and I hate using products that leave my keyboard all gunky and slimy because they just sit on the surface of my skin.

Very pricey. I accidentally bought the $34 bottle of bath wash on accident and just ended up keeping it because my daughter has pretty bad eczema so I thought I’d give it a try. Not worth the money in my opinion.

I heard wonderful things about it but i was not impressed. Ymir wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t worth $35. I had better results with Walmarts generic Equate brand lotion (generic for gold bond severe eczema) and it was better than anything I’ve come across for her sensitive and oh so dry skin.

She recommended this brand because she said her baby had suffered from it too. This helped within a week I saw dramatic improvement. He is older and doesn’t suffer from it anymore. But I definitely 100 percent recommend this product.

I have had Dyshidrotic eczema (itchy tiny blistering skin and red patches) for about 10 years on my feet. I have gotten steroid cream for the doctor that worked for a minute, but once I learned it can thin my skin after using it for longer than 2 weeks, I quit using it.

It never truly helped. I have tried other natural products, over the counter creams and lotions, and it’s been a true headache. Most recently, I had a patch of itchy redness on the top of my foot for several months, and blisters all over both feet.

I always hit evening and would scratch until my feet would be bleeding. I knew something had to change. I had heard of eczema honey a few years ago, but never tried it because I was a bit skeptical and it felt pretty pricey.

I decided it was cheaper than going to a dermatologist, and tried it. I wish I would have years ago. My skin has always itched uncontrollably after putting any lotions or ointments on. Simply the act of having something touch my skin would trigger scratching.

The eczema honey is the ONLY THING THAT DOESN’T MAKE MY SKIN ITCH. I cannot say enough good things. Also, my daughter had an allergic reaction to some other lotion I used on her. I followed it up with eczema honey, and it helped the awful rash clear up with just 1-2 applications.

Now I buy two cartons at a time so I won’t run out, and then I earn reward points. I’m so grateful for a company that gives discounts on something that has truly been life changing for me!.

I have eczema around my eyes that has gotten progressively worse over the winter. My dermatologist prescribed a prescription cream and then antibiotics for my eczema – they did nothing. I’ve tried most other soothing lotions as well.

I got some of this eczema honey, and within 2 days I was seeing results! The redness and swelling around the eyes went down significantly, and it really helped with the itching and the burning sensation on the skin.

I’m super careful with what products I put on my face, especially around the eye area. I like how natural this product is. When applying, it feels like you are quite literally rubbing honey on your face, but hey it beats the chemical prescription treatments! Пришло быстро, свежее, никаких проблем. Но в инструкции четко написано-не использовать на поврежденную кожу! Я конечно тут же намазала себе на расчесанную больку)) Щипало-ой-ей-ей)) Вечером намазала сыну, сказала потерпеть 5 минут.

Звучит наверное жутко безответственно, но НЕповрежденной кожи я не видела у него на пальцах почти год, решила рискнуть. Он попищал 5 минут, но утром было уже лучше, а потом еще лучше и еще. По факту-используя почти месяц дважды в день у ребенка отросла живая, мягкая кожа.

Да, АД никуда не делся, бывают обострения, но они купируются за 2 дня элокомом. Для сравнения-на бепантене и выписанной врачом мази мы жили:неделя кровавых трещин-неделя зажившей, но сухой и морщинистой кожи.

Так что держу пальцы, чтоб и дальше было хотя бы так, как сейчас. Тюбик большой, сначала кажется недешевым, около 14 долларов за 200 мл на скидке, но потом я вспомнила, сколько извела денег на бепантен по 8 долларов за 30г – и поняла, что это очень даже выгодно.

All these things help and provide temporary relief, but symptoms quickly flare up and we are back to red, flaky, dry skin. I read about this French brand, Mustela, in a baby forum ( as I am now pregnant with my second) and decided to give it a chance.

So far, I am impressed with the quality and clean-ingredients. I love the texture of the cream, thick but it evens out once applied and does not make your skin feel greasy. Yes, the price is a little on the expensive side but your family and babies are worth it! I felt immediate relief once applied and some of redness diminished immediately.

I am looking forward to trying more products once baby arrives.

IšverstiShow in original languageThis has worked well for my now 20 month old. I’ve been using it since his eczema appeared at 6 months old. He also has food allergies. I love that I can use this on his face and other delicate areas.

I mostly use this on his face though. I use the mustela dry skin cleansing gel for his baths. It doesn’t foam up really but I can tell when he doesn’t have this stuff like recently we went out of town and I left all of his bathing supplies! I was at the mercy of what wal mart sold.

Sure enough his eczema started to flare up after a few days. I highly recommend this stuff. Use it in conjunction with the other products by mustela. Of course there is still an occasion where I have to use his prescription steroid cream, but looking at him you would not know he has eczema.

Not just for children. 20 going on 21 here with terrible eczema on my hands that I’ve struggled with since I was younger. I love this stuff so much.

The first bottle I received came unscrewed and spilled during shipment. What is good about Vitacost is they put package these items in a bag and replace damaged items. This lotion is very watery like it was very watered down compared to their other Borage lotions which are more thicker in texture.

It smells like all their Borage lotions and my kid doesn’t seem to mind this one. But derm recommends thick emollient creams over lotions.
