I guess a bag at that rate would last a2 goats about 6 months. WHAT GOOD IS THE PROBIOTIC WITH 8 PIECES A DAY. tHE INSTRUCTIONS Are a joke. When you call them they never call back. Manna Pro OVERRATED.

These treats are great to throw around for your goats. My goats love how they taste and love digging the ground for them! I love knowing these treats help support their digestive system. Luckily, these treats are for all life stages.

IšverstiShow in original languageHave been giving copper boluses to my goats for years, it is a must in Florida as we are very copper deficient. Raise Savanna meat goats and LaMancha diary goats and needed for both.

It effects all aspects of the goat from A-Z, insides and outsides. Will usually take a month to see results, but results you will see. Do every 3 months in Florida, but you will find it goat specific.

My diary girls need more than my meat girls. But even in copper rich states find at least once a year is needed. Watch your goat, earliest signs of deficiency are a faded/ruff coat, fish tail (balding tail tip), and losing hair on face, especially around eyes/bridge of nose.

You’ll find your breeding does/bucks, both meat and diary, will need it more often than your regular and pet stock. Do your research, it helps a goats health on SO MANY levels to go into here.

IšverstiShow in original languageI had read in Pat Coleby’s book about copper deficiencies, but I was unaware of the severity until my boar kids arrived with orange fur. Immediately, I ordered the 2 mg for my kids and the 4 mg for my adults.

I started the nannies on 4 mg as soon as the boluses arrived, and I administered the 2 mg to the kids at 3 months. Amazing results: 3 weeks after administering boluses, hair colors began to deepen to red and reddish brown.

Fish tails grew fuller, and fuzzy hair straightened and developed a nice sheen. When I began to see symptoms of copper deficiency 5 months later, we re administered the 4 mg to nannies and monitored kids until deficiencies reappeared in kids.

We find that, for our farm, administration is needed every 5 months for most goats, although we do find a couple of nannies who require them a bit sooner. Observation is the key to determining when boluses are needed.

I highly recommend these to anyone with goats! After reading all the glowing reviews here, I finally tried using these last year on our herd of Kiko and Boer meat goats, and loved the results! We will definitely be using these every year now with our goats! I was at first very hesitant to try these because we were already giving our goats a high copper mineral mix, and here in southeast Missouri we are also on the line of “adequate” and “variable” on the Santa Cruz copper map.

So theoretically our goats should have been plenty sufficient in copper, and I was concerned that they could fatally overdose on copper if I gave them the boluses in addition. But I tried giving some of them the boluses, and kept a close eye on them for the first few weeks, watching for copper over-dose symptoms, ready to treat with an antidote if necessary, but all was good.

And then after those few weeks they started getting these sleek shiny beautiful glossy coats! This year we gave copper to all our goats, and even and including a special 4 year old bottle-raised pet (who ALWAYS had a rough scruffy coat year round), and even she is now all sleek and shiny! Our herd has never looked so beautiful and healthy! I love these boluses! Moral of the story: Just because you’re giving your goats a high copper mineral does not mean your goats are necessarily getting sufficient copper.

These boluses are so inexpensive and easy for what they do! Thank you Santa Cruz for offering a far more affordable copper bolus than the name brand! And I love that these copper boluses are all natural as well, no chemicals, etc.

So now I just need to figure out a practical way to muscle our cattle in to taking the cow-size copper boluses, as I’m sure they would benefit too! ;).

Adequate copper levels make all the difference in goats’ health and resistance to parasites. Giving these boluses with a bolus gun is typically a job for two people, but I really like the idea from another reviewer to use a chunk of banana with the bolus pushed inside, a good method for working solo.

I’ve had multiple champions between the years feeding this product and pairing it with the supplements they have to offer! I have also used this feed for all of my jackpot lambs.

When choosing a feed you need to keep in mind if the food is palatable as well as having what you need it. This food is highly palatable and every single lamb I’ve raised and shown has had no problem on this feed! Thank you for making great products!!.

I’ve aged out of 4-H now, but I still feed it to my lambs to make sure my young replacement ewes get the nutrition and growth that they need to hit the fields running. I’m also the sheep leader in my local 4-H club and I always highly recommend this product for kids and their market and breeding projects.

Every bag remained consistent with the quality of product and we’ve never had so many clean bowls each feeding! While feeding Purina Show Lamb feed we noticed the incredible maintenance of overall cover and finished product.

We fed a early February born lamb out for a fair at the very end of August and he was SOLID all the way to the end. We were awarded Reserve Champion Market Lamb! Thank you Purina!.

IšverstiShow in original languageAfter purchasing three bottle calves and struggling to get the weight on them after two months on the bottle, we had to find a better way. Between the on and off scours and the loss of appetite when stress from the heat or bad weather, the calves were looking rough.

Main issue was transitioning the calves to accept creep feed along with their two bottle meals a day. We mixed the high octane, which had easy to eat small pellets with the sweet feed that was recommended by the vet to draw interest.

1:1 ratio. Within two days they were licking the bucket clean!!! The sweet feed alone barely got them nibbling, but adding in the high octane and they were begging (mooing) for more. In fact, they loved it so much, I had them weaned at four months because the vet thought they had wonderful the appetites and above average body conditions for bottle calves their age.

For my first time dealing with orphan calves, I have learned my lesson well and will be sure to keep high octane on hand. I even feed it to my pet pigs now.

IšverstiShow in original languageWe have used Ultra Full for several years with our show heifers but this fall was an example of how much these cattle like the product. We brought one of our new heifers home and knew that the breeder had been top dressing Ultra Full.

When we fed her the first night she came right up to eat but was hesitant to eat the new feed. until we top dressed it with her Ultra Full. She immediately went to eating and hasn’t stopped since! It certainly helps with providing the fullness we want in these heifers today to meet the show ring look.

I am a beginner goat man. It began as try. It using Purina goats grower for my Ponce made him a strong and responsible father familias, to my does they are strong without being fatty and when I give it to the babies, their mothers milk becomes an accessory they can pass by without problem.

I really love Purina Grower in my new journey as goat grower.

I panic if Tractor Supply is out of thos feed. My goats all are very healthy and a little chunky. It’s great for the males, they require special attention to prevent urinary complications. The medicated protection is really great.

I always try to keep them clear of any potential health problems, I switched feed a couple times until I ised Purina Medicated. It took a few break outs pf cocci before I figured out that using medicated feed was worth it.

Now I always choose to feed medicated and this feed keeps them fat and sassy.

Switched to this after losing our wethers to urinary calculii. This feed has the ammonium chloride to help keep the calcium/phosphorus ratio in balance. I’ve also noticed that our does didn’t suffer as much weight loss after birthing.

One even gave us triplets! I plan to continue to feed small amounts of this daily as a supplement to their daily forage. I’m very pleased with the way our goats look.

I dug a hole, and laid the block on it’s side, only expose the top of other side. The moisture from the ground helps to make it a mineral site. I put it out late August/early September, and they deer visited that spot till February, when I pulled those cameras.

I put a new one in this year, and they are coming right back to that spot. I bury it, because the 25 pound blocks get pushed all over by the hogs if you don’t.

Good product! Our donkeys love this mineral block. It seems to be good tasting, and it lasts a long time. It’s good for them when they aren’t able to eat natural grasses. Highly recommended!

This Purina Senior feed is safely putting wight back on a rescue 20+ year old mare that was forgotten about and starving. She literally licks the bottom of feed trough to get every pellet. I love the fact that I can put soaked hay cubes with this and it make it easy for her to eat, digest, and gain weight.

This mare is getting healthy front the inside out. Her stall dropping are getting firm from runny when she arrives less than 2 weeks ag, her eyes are bright, and shes running in and out of her stall to greet the ther mares when they come in.

Wonderful feed. Truly saving lives.

We buy one of these about once a year for our 3 horses and 2 donkeys. Keep it under the overhang on the bank barn so it doesn’t get wet. They all love it. Lasts a year. For the price? Excellent value.

The cattle seem tolerate winter months better when they are able minerals whenever they want. Have used these blocks for the last 10 years. Tried others but these work the best.

Since his diagnosis, Cooper has had a rough time pooping, so this does help loosen the stools. That being said, if you have a dog who is pooping just fine, and you add this into their food, I’d maybe add some pumpkin as well to counteract the liquid poos.

“Honest Kitchen” Goat’s Milk is also excellent, and we mix the 2 because the Honest Kitchen has probiotics in it and is pure. But the Esbilac has added vitamins. You have to mix either with warm water and stir a lot to get lumps dissolved.

When bottle feeding, it is best to strain either product with a fine strainer to make sure the bottle nipples do not get plugged.

This definitely smells better (to humans, at least, and apparently to puppies as well) and is easy to stir into warm distilled water with a whisk, making a rich, smooth, nutritious real milk. The biggest drawback is that it only keeps for 24 hours once mixed, even in the refrigerator, while the canned Esbilac formula (which really should come in little resealable bottles like Ensure or Glucerna.

) is good for 3 days after opening. Fortunately, you can mix as large or small a quantity of this goat’s milk as needed, just use a 2:1 distilled water to milk powder ratio. Also, remember to store opened can of powder in fridge too, or it will spoil quickly! We’ve been feeding mama a high-quality puppy food since mid-pregnancy and still are, but we’ve supplemented her meals with some of this milk while she’s been nursing and it really seems to have helped her milk production as she has usually been able to feed all 4 pups the last couple weeks – although they are now just about ready for weaning!.

I am very particular what I give my chickens, and this is a great product. I had to break the pellets down some, after i did the chickens really seemed to like it. An outstanding supplement that works.

After 1 week of using this our winter egg production has went up. I also have 2 chickens that went through molt in the fall and have been having a hard time regrowing feathers I noticed the feathers are starting to come in now after using this awesome supplement.

This is perfect for the winter months, I will also be using it during the molt season, you dont have to give them very much so a bag will last quite a while. I highly recommend this product, safe ingredients, and it works, a really great product.

The Calf-Manna performance supplement has always worked fantastic on our cattle and calves. We raise steers and we use the Calf- Manna Performance Supplement with them and it makes their coats so shiny.

Also, it helps with healthy growth and better digestion. If we have a steer or calf that’s ears are droopy and not feeling well we will give them some Calf-Manna. It just seems to help to perk them up.

As for the calves we bottle raise we start them on some mixed with their regular feed and they love it. I’ve yet to have a steer or calf that doesn’t just go crazy for it.

Calf manna has been around for years but I’ve never tried it until recently and so glad I have. My chickens love it they have produced way more eggs, have more energy and seem to feel a lot better then before they love this new stuff.

We also fed to our rabbits and it’s helped keep their coats shiny and them blump through the winter months. This is high performance and can be fed to Multiple animals which is awesome. And the company cares as well they make sure the product is healthy and safe.

If i could speak goat language, I’m sure they would say Yum! Give me me more. They wearnt turning them away they kept coming back for more. These treats are also filled with ptobiotics that helps keep their nutrition levels up.

Deer seem to love the stuff, that’s why I keep buying it but I wish it would last longer. I’m a new land owner and I’m trying to establish some long term mineral sites. I can dump a 40lb bag and if it rains a few times over the course of a couple weeks the minerals are gone.

That might be normal, I just feel like if I can’t see the minerals then they aren’t helping the deer. The deer might be eating them or they are dissolving in the ground. The instructions say you only need to add a bag 4 times per year.

As quickly as they dissolve, I’m not sure that’s effective.

I started putting this out for the deer a couple years ago, and I have seen a definite improvement in the overall health and fawn recruitment. I put out a bag every other month, especially after the rutt, when does are gestating, because of the sandy soil.

You wouldn’t need to put out as much in areas where the soil is not mostly sand.

well here goes. I love the Trophy Rock product line. Here in Minnesota we have some pretty tight regulations on baiting and what can or can not be used. As a natural rock mined from the earth , there is nothing that stopping us from setting up mineral sights with it.

Another plus is the Four65 crushed variety (my favorite) ,which can be spread out so’s not to bunch deer up when multiple deer are around at the same time, to fight the CWD.

IšverstiShow in original languageWe have 5 old pet goats (all over 12) who have lived on goat chow for most of their lives. They romp and play and are feisty like kids. We have used goat chow for over 15 years and once tried another product because we weren’t able to get the chow.

One of our older goats did not respond well to the other product and for 3 days we thought she was dying. That was the only time we tried another product. We also used to be so careful to combine an assortment of products (beet pulp, oat pellets, and goat chow) then our vet said the goat chow was a complete food and we didn’t need to do anything else.

And we have been giving only the chow, along with hay (and their daily treats!) and again our goats are such lively, happy and healthy animals. We are grateful to Purina for the goat chow and wouldn’t be without it.

And over the years we have had over 20 pet goats, who have all lived very healthy and happy lives in our care and eating goat chow.

The past 4 bags are almost black with coating. How can the ingredients be the same? It cant. PLease check into your quality control. I also feed the dairy line of pellets,. it too varies. sometimes there is a lot of dust and broken pellets.

goats dont really want to eat the broken pelleted dust. I use 2 bags of the chow a week.

I have used Trophy Rocks and Four 65 Minerals for several years now. The deer use them regularly and I have seen an increase in the size of the bucks that are on my game cameras. The deer seem to use them more in the spring and summer months when the antlers are growing and when the does are pregnant.

The deer still use them in the fall and winter but not as much.

IšverstiShow in original languageMy mixed flock of chickens and ducks went through the molt almost simultaneously starting back in September with a few late comers still at it. I also had a group of juvenile ducklings and chickens that I was switching from chick feed to Flock Raiser so it made sense to change everyone at the same time.

It seems to have helped those molting get through it quite well. The only downfall was that crumbles was the only type my local supplier carries and my ducks made a huge mess. They emptied a 30# feeder of crumbles on the coop floor.

I had to buy deep pans for the feed. I gave 4 stars due to how much gets wasted by my ducks. If pellets were available, I’d bought that instead.

IšverstiShow in original languageI used this product for the first time this year on our show pigs. Two weeks before our state fair I realized that I needed to cut some fat on a large cross Barrow and a purebred gilt.

The barrow was nearing the maximum weight and fitter 52 did a great job when mixed with a small amount of his regular feed to hold him and cut the extra fat he was carrying. He ended up second in his class.

The gilt had to heavy of a howl and fitter 52 again worked effectively and fast. She was Reserve gilt. I will use this product again and will keep some in the feed room at all times. It’s flat works and you will see results fast.

IšverstiShow in original languageWe raise Southdowns and show market lambs. During the show season have several groups of different breeds and body types we are feeding for market and breeding shows.

Fitter 52 allows us the unique opportunity to dial in the appropriate touch and finish across the whole show string. A unique product for the showman that requires the last minute attention to detail.

The mail-order mineral lick rocks are considerably larger than the rocks sold in the store last fall. I expect these rocks to remain intact through to this fall. The deer just love these rocks.

These licks seem to last for us longer than regular salt blocks and the deer seem to prefer them. Cabelas has delivered them consistently with prices equal to the local stores (If and when they ever stock them) I have ordered them from Cabelas before and am very happy with the service and quality.

I use these all the time. Put them out in spring during the turkey season and wait until July and stick a camera over them. Excellent way to get an inventory of the deer on your property. Remember that a doe and her off spring can rack up a great deal of shots so set your camera up accordingly.

Other critters will come in for their picture too as for whatever reason, fishers, raccoons, coyotes, badgers etc. ,get curious and come into check out the rock. I recommend putting T-Rocks on tree stumps as the deer do not need to fill their stomachs up with dirt.

I have used Purina goat feed for over 30 years. It excells above all others but is pricy. By feeding it I have avoided many calls to the vet. While we once milked our registered Nubian Does twice a day, we are no longer able to continue, but we do keep a small herd in our pastures and I have a boy who helps me take care of them.

I alos feed my chickens Purina feed.

These other reviewers must have been paid. Purina Goat Feed has too much corn and is loaded with molasses (to cover up the terrible ingredients), which is used to bribe goats into eating it. Our girls do not like it! It smells hideous.

The excess sugar will make them fat and rot their teeth. This product should be avoided like a bum rash!.

IšverstiShow in original languageAfter having covid19 I was really struggling with my whole body. Sore muscles from lack of use, shaky muscles, poor muscle control, total fatigue, poor memory, and so much more (I was one of those severe cases they talk about).

I prefer a it in a pint of water and whatever doesn’t dissolve I swirl in my glass and I’m good to go. (The ones that do fully dissolve are lesser quality and not bio available) My husband is using it now too.

He often ads it to his smoothies. I use it for chronic illness benefits. He uses it for intense workouts and overall wellness.

IšverstiShow in original languageI have 2 Nigerian dwarf girls and they weigh somewhere around 50 lbs, so the dosage is around 1. 5 cups per head. I used 2 feed bowls and only gave 0. 5 cups per goat at a time because for them, the full dose would have been more than what they eat at one sitting.

Over the course of a few hours, I was able to give both girls the proper dose and they ate it with no problems- the pellets look very similar to the feed they normally eat. I’d suggest administering the dosages a little at a time and keeping your goats separated so you can make sure they all get the right dosage and that your product doesn’t just sit out in the open, as goats can sometimes refuse to eat food that’s been ‘left out’.

I’m knocking off 1 star because the bag these pellets come in shreds down the middle if you try to open it by pulling it apart like a cereal bag. Obviously this is going to make a mess and prevent using the bag as storage.

Zip sealed bags have been around for decades and for the cost of this product, the few extra cents to have a resealable bag would make this product great.

I tried adding molasses on the pellets but they still won’t eat the pellets.
