Best Long War Starting Country (2025 Updated)

This book maybe the most complete book about war. This edition is not filled with analysis which I feel is a good thing. It has thirteen easy to read chapters that cover numerous aspects of war, its understanding and application to real situations.

History is strewn with examples of poorly trained generals who did not apply these simple precepts. You will gain a better understanding about life and it’s many areas and how you can resolve things in your life.

Read the book then read it again.

Compelling and intriguing. Christian, work-based or just for personal knowledge, The Art of War is highly reccomended! It gives you deeper insight on how the opposition thinks and how a leader’s mind should operate.

Great price and fast shipment are a plus!.

This is not the actual “The Art of War”. This is abridged or a synopsis, but this “book” is super thin. Don’t bother with this.

Excellent assortment of models for a really good price! The Skink sculpt is fairly old and the mold lines can be annoyingly thick, but the pieces assemble pretty well. It’s also worth mentioning that while the Bastiladon Solar Engine and Terradon Riders sprues include the required pieces, the box does not include instructions for their alternative assemblies – thankfully, the instructions can be found fairly readily online.

This is one of GW’s impressive “get started” boxes that really applies to anyone filling out a Seraphon (or Lizardmen as I still call them) army. You save a massive amount of money by purchasing all of the sprues in a single box, and also, these specific models are great bets for any army when looking at the rules.

Skinks are very powerful, Terradon Riders have some of the best personality and actually are viable, and the Bastiladon has some of the best shooting in AoS.

Great start collecting pack. I got the Serraphon one first and then this to bulk out my forces. Great price and delivery. No hassle.

Wow (John Wayne) in Jet Pilot and (Audie Murphy) in To Hell and Back and (Richard Burton) in Raid on Rommel are truly vintage war movies! Wake Island is the next movie from this collection that I’ll be watching.

It wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. My husband watched all of the collection but I stopped after watching only one of the movies. Wouldn’t watch it again and certainly wouldn’t have bought it had I known it was, well, let’s just say.

not as good as expected. Glad I didn’t pay too much for it.

I am very pleased with these DVD’s. That one Lady who gave it a 1 Star must not like old war movies. My wife and I are very pleased with this movie and the Seller Guru.

Nice sculpt. Only issue is the if you center the gun on the base, it is difficult to fit the battery and support mini on the base. Would fit better off center, but looked weird that way to me. I’m searching the rules to make sure it is ok, but planning on open transporting this on occupier tank for a nasty warmachine.

A solid anchor and area control piece for Empire, plus a great-looking model!

Starting my first army and picked these up. Went together pretty easily. The only thing I would say is, if you are a picky painter, consider painting before assembling. There are some hard parts to hit after they’re all together.

I’m excited to revisit skitarii after building and painting them as my first ever Warhammer box a few years ago. Very fun kit to paint!

If your looking for some bits for a conversion, I used the hooded heads as cultists heads in a small conversion I did with some genestealee cultists and admech bits, needless to say, I love them, I wanted to make them look like the Ghost people from Fallout New Vegas and so far Success! Cant recommend them enough.

And the helmeted heads I used on some scions and they look freaking awesome.

Great box for you and a friend or family member to get a taste of 40k. The Recruit ruleset is not “complete,” but it introduces rules over a series of short missions, like a tutorial mode in your favorite video game.

By the end of the book you are 80% of the way to a 40k player and ready for more complex rules. The minis fit together nicely, but tough to build and some pieces are very small. You may want glue despite what the box says.

if you were starting up either a necron or space marine army why on earth would you even bother buying the units that are available in this box separately??? For your 50 bucks there are 2 units on either side that would cost you that own their own.

Even if your were only interested in one of the units in this box set you could just sell off the rest, give them away to a newbie or chop em up for scenery. Until this box set is no longer available i wouldn’t even bother buying any of the units on their own even if I wouldn’t need the others.

A great way to get into the Warhammer 40k game and universe. Good fun, great figures to build and paint. Lots of reading to get some of the lore and for the rules of the game. Great price for a starter kit with models, and the basics to get started.

Excellent quality, heavy plastic. 4 sets of 8 different bases. Easily modifiable — with plastic card, mili-put, or sand so that no 2 bases need look alike.

Highly recommend these bases as they give you basing options for more indoor settings. Would like to see a plain option however as gamers don’t always need interior basing. Game on!

Adam Dakos is absolutely one of the best authors that I have ever read. He weaves together first-hand accounts of actual participants from both the American and German combatants to put together an amazing account of WWII battles.

His research, documentation, and photos put you, the reader, on the front lines with the opposing tank crews. His other two books are also amazing – A Higher Call and Spearhead. They all are hard to put down books!.

Brilliantly depicts the harshness of the Korean War. Characters are true-to-life, reflecting their different attitudes toward the war and how they react to its brutalities. Makos has done an incredible amount of research which helped to paint this accurate picture of a war that most people are totally unfamiliar with.

In the current politically charged atmosphere where the name calling invariable ends with the “racist” label, I would like to see this book as required reading for all high schools in America. Perhaps “Devotion” could begin again the healing America needs now more than ever!.

Devotion is the true story of Lieutenant Tom Hudner a white New Englander who was part of the country club scene and Ensign Jesse Brown a black sharecropper’s son from Mississippi. They may have been worlds apart but they were good friends in a time that was frowned upon.

During the Korean War they flow in several missions risking their lives only to have one mission that would change their life and all those who loved them forever. The book also follows other co-workers and Marines that were part of the Korean War and blended them all so well that it made the book what it is it’s not just Tom & Jesse’s story but all the ones that they had a hand in their short career together.

I like reading about history just to get a sense if we are not careful we could very well be repeating what happened in the last 100 years. I had family members being in the military during that time and I could only imagine what they went through and this book brought a whole new understanding of what this war was like for them.

I loved this book. It’s why we are the greatest country in the world. I read it all in one setting. I have to admit I cried a lot. My husband was a turkey he wouldn’t let me read the best parts out loud to him.

He always thinks he knows it all. I have Attention disorder but I read this entire book in one setting not missing a single word of it.

Agree with John Cribb author of OLD ABE. His comments are right on =” The President and the Freedom Fighter should be in every home, school, and library in our country. Think parents should support American history book clubs for their kids so they can appreciate our history and those who made such contributions to bring us to where we are now.

This is a great book and lets history come alive. My wife started reading the book and told me some of the stories in it and I started reading it also. A MUST read about how whites and blacks worked together to help the nation.

I have read a few of TP’s Discworld books (the movies are fantastic) and I applaud him for his creativity. Sadly, The Long Earth, penned by TP and Stephen Baxter falls short of the Discworld master’s vivid word paintings.

This painting is drab, not even close to the vibrant colors of any Discworld novel. But to give Terry credit, I am sure he did his best while fighting a debilitating disease. Guessing it’s not easy to write well when you know your days are numbered.

I imagine Baxter wrote most of the book, along with the rest in the series.

I’m an avid reader of great,and well written science fiction, and this series was one of the best I’ve read in a long time. The term the old masters like Clark,Asimov,Hienlin,and Silverberg,come to mind when I read these books.

The Long Earth series is fascinating – inventive, thought provoking, compelling and often very funny.

It was a good buy for Shure, I bought 2 of them and that set me with a good 500 pt army after I got a third infantry squad. You are always going to use all the infantry and vehicles enclosed. Overall the Guard are difficult to play but I am a devotee just getting into ninth so I am going to play them no matter what.

Great value box set whether your expanding your Guard army, or starting a new force. Getting 3 of these is the perfect backbone for any army which you can then add more varied units too. I only wish this box had three heavy weapon teams instead of the one, but its still a must buy for anyone collecting Astra Militarum – especally with the fast deliveries and cheap prices with Goblin Gaming!.

Bought two of these boxes to start a cadian guard army. Great buy! The sculpts look great and its a solid bargain. The Commissars arent the most useful unit but they look great and every model is fun to build and paint! Would recommend.

Mr. Greene’s books will make a good reading and, yes, will provide a good material for a nice thoughtful conversations. Not only he spends time reviewing multiple resources emanating from different times and cultures, but provides essays of important points, all the while managing to illustrate how it all tunes to our so-called modern times (which, to spill some preliminary beans, has not changed much for the most part).

Highly recommended read for any serious scholar of sociology, political science (which, on my personal note, is not that much of a science to start with, but that’s just me), human psychology and other scholarly subjects that I cannot probably know proper names of (like, maybe crowdsourcing? mobruling? you figure it out once read).

If you want to have nice addition to your library of serious books that make you think seriously, buy this and “The 48 laws of power” to have both. Don’t expect to finish either overnight, though, for you will find yourself constantly fetching wikipedia or Britannica, depending on the flavor of knowledge that you missed in your Oxford, Yale, West Point Academy, MIT or just plain good old local college.

This is not too much to make you read and memorize, as to read and make you think and research more. I know, that’s what I do all the time. Even though I just received this book today, I am already four chapters into it and fetching wiki here and there.

My father is a politician in my county, so I think my review will actually be revealing, as it is a review made by someone that has used the book in his dealings with other people. There isn’t a single page in this book that doesn’t offer sound advice.

The historical research is truly amazing and really drives the point home. Life, even life in peace is a constant warfare. You deal with people that try to mangle your dreams and force themselves on you.

They may be corrupt officers, they may be passive-aggressive coworkers, but they are there. The book help you avoid the pitfalls and actually do something in your life. Far more than the advice it offers, this is a trully well-writen book! The style is compeling and really immerses you in the book’s offerings.

I highly advise you to buy it! Just don’t use it against me!.

This book helps tremendously in helping yourself to see the powers that be in the world around you on a day to day basis. My best advice is defensive warfare and the best times will be times of piece.

This is an essential to anyone building an army for The Greater Good. The fire warrior set has pieces to build 10 models with 3 different options to weapons. This allows you to build out the fire warriors to meet your play style.

Strike teams with plasma rifles work for ranged fight. Breachers with plasma blasters are for close quarters. You can also magnetize the weapon arms so that you can switch them out whenever you want.

Great game stats! The pathfinder team is in many wasy superior to a regular fire warriors strike/breacher team. Getting three rail rifles or Ion blasters in you basic infantry unit is a major tactical improvement.

The selection of drones included (Recon with heavy burst cannon, Grav inhibitor, and accelerator), is also an upgrade. I highly recommend this set, especially for things Kill Team games or escalation leagues.

A must have for any Tau 40k player!.

The products came safe and secured in bubble wrap and made sure the materials were not broken. I definitely will order more warhammer minis from here!

The book is pleasant to read after the beginning,which plugs itself and moralizes too much. The information sells itself and while endnotes would be nice considering the idea is to affect change rather than point a finger at those in a position to do so.

To that end, it is a must read. Even the most cynical individual would benefit by receiving information to consider when making economic and political decisions. It is We The People right!.

I suggest that if you love your country and believe in God and Country you will enjoy reading this book. We all hope for a better generation for our children and if your grateful for all the veterans that have served for our freedom to preserve liberty you will also enjoy this wonderful, informative read.

However, definitely have some tums and heart burn product around when reading this book.

This book is a non-partisan easy read – and well organized by topic. General Spalding sheds a bright light on topics that most individuals are not even aware of. This is a must read for all Americans.

Bought the 2021 Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road, switched the tires from the Fallen Wildpeak of 225/60R18. These tires are very quiet and comfortable. I just wanted a much thicker tire and a higher ride height.

I bought the ATIII of 235/65R18. The ride quality is much more different, in a good way. The tires grip the road much more and ride much more comfortably! When the road is smooth, the ride is like butter.

When the road looks like garbage, you feel every bit. Not complaining though. You do feel how much these tires soak up in terms of cushioning and it feels much more planted, much more stable and the road presence is great! My fuel economy did drop significantly but that was expected.

Instead of 32 per highway Im getting about 26 on the dot. *ALSO THEY BALANCE AMAZINGLY* *THESE TIRES ARE GREAT AND WOULD RECOMMEND THEM!* Also the size listed above fits a 2021 Toyota RAV4 with a 2. 5″ lift kit.

There is slight rubbing when at full turn both ways, nothing actually impacting or damaging. But that is expected until trimming is finished. So far Ive got about 1100 miles on these tires and I can’t complain.

This is exactly what I wanted and researched and its what I got. An overall great tire on the road, Offroad and all in between. I specifically wanted a heavier tire with a thicker ply for highway trash and offroad rocks.

Also Toyo Tires, Im not afraid to put my vehicle somewhere it may or may not belong. If you would like me to sample different possible production versions offroad and on road please contact me.

Have these tires on 03 duramax ext cab long bed. They were on the truck when I bought it so they had around 15-20k miles already. So far I’ve put on at this time an addition 35k miles on them. Heck these tires I didn’t rotate after a year cause they didn’t wear hardly so I totally forgot to rotate them unlike mud tires I rotate every 5k miles.

I drove it to north and South Carolina and back and I live in Ohio. It’s a farm truck and gets used from highway to the field. These tires I remind on long bed so there’s very little weight in the rear of the truck so sometimes it spins in very wet grass or mud.

But I’ve had these in the mud and fields and it still crawls out loaded down with hay or whatever is in the bed or attached to the truck. I’ve pulled trucks out of the ditch in snow storms and it actually slid me into a 2.

5 foot ditch and it crawled right out. My friend has these on his dually and he hauls heavy loads of hay and equipment cause he owns a farm and construction business. Those tires can handle a load that is for sure.

He has had 1000s of pounds on a trailer loaded with hay and the trailer was making the truck squat a lot and it’s an 2018 F350 dually and those tires took the load and drove the truck right out of the field.

Only complaint is they kinda dry rot but still hold air and they’ve been on the truck over 3 years now and it’s just now starting to get low tread to the point of needing replaced. They’ve served very well.

Hydro plains a little bit but I’m running 12. 5 wide so that doesn’t help. But even on low tread is still pulls great in the rain and snow. I’d recommend these tires if you want them to last and want something that can get the job done and take a beating.

There are videos of the truck on TikTok doing donuts in the field and pictures of it on Instagram loaded down with hay. I can’t figure out how to add a photo or I would on here. I pull on average 20+ miles a gallon on the high way and around 15ish in the country on 325-17-12.

5 tires in an 03 duramax.

I have now put just over 1400 miles on these tires in the past two weeks. On Dry roads the steering response is accurate, immediate, and quick (no hesitations noted. Traveling 70 and 75 miles per hour on highway the tires are very quite.

if I turn off the radio, close the windows and shut down the AC/heat I can hear a very slight noise from the undercarriage but once a turn on the radio or the heat/ac even at the lowest settings the noise is gone.

open the window and you can’t hear anything but the wind. The RAIN, I road though about 200 miles of rain all at highway speeds of 55 to 70 miles per hour. Some of the rain was heavy and some areas slowed down to less than a drizzle.

I never real worry about heavy rain as that in itself washes the oils from the black top away but the fine rain seems to make for a more slippery road, in my opinion. These tires tracked beautifully though both the heavy and the fine rain and at 55 to 70 miles per hour for both.

I always felt in control of my vehicle. The Dirt Roads – I was in the mountains this past week also on hard pack dirt roads. This included dirt roads with a lot of loose gravel (steep inclines and downhills) to deep ruts too include water and ruts from Gas Drilling Company which then started to turn those deep ruts into a slippery mud fest.

These tires handled every single dry condition with ease and that was in 2WD. The heavy ruts and water (from gas drilling company in PA Mountains – Lycoming county) I do admit I was not chancing sliding as the edge of that area in our mountains is a 100′ drop-off so I was in 4WD for that condition and felt totaling in control and secured footing as it were.

I was supper impressed and my last AT tires did not perform anywhere near as well as the Toyo OC AT3. The ruts were only 6′ to 10′ deep and the mud was only surface type mud not the kind the mud truck guys go looking for on weekends.

I do not have a rating for ICE and snow as I have not been in theses conditions as of yet but winter is coming and I’m sure I will have several occasions this year to deal with snow and ice coming up shortly.

When I do I’ll log back in and update for those conditions. As I only have just over 1400 miles on the tires I do not have a clue as to the treadwear ability for these and as they are new this year my guess would be we all have to wait a couple of years before we will all know for sure.

That being said they are rated at 600 for a 65,000 mile tire so I would expect them to wear well, at least I hope they do. I also list the Fuel Efficiency as Excellent. I can’t tell you I noticed any variation in gas miles and for the other guys and gals out there driving trucks , really who cares.

If I want great gas miles I would have bought a Prius, I want a truck and I willfully except the Gas miles what ever it may be. All in all I am very happy with my purchase and just as a side note for all those that place a high price on looks.

they do look great on my truck. tire size – 265-65R-17 – yes my truck has a 2″ front leveling kit that allows for the bigger tires. no rubbing at extreme turning radiuses. Great Job Toyo.

This item Is brill for people who are wanting to get into warhammer and its brill for people who want to boot there existing army. I recently started a necron army and already had 20 worriers and wanted to buster the ranks so I recommend going half’s with a friend who wanted to get into warhammer and he’s really chuffed with the modles.

Nice selection of models to start with and the better option if you’re not interested in the Command Edition terrain. The terrain in this box is just a card board tray. The soft-cover rule book is a nice extra with the usual GW quality model photos, but you will eventually want to pick up the official rulebook.

It’s a Christmas present so it hasn’t actually been used yet. However, service, ease of shopping etc at Zatu was fab! Grandparents are now on to you too!

I picked up a pair of these batting gloves for my son at DSG. It was the gateway to falling in love with this brand. My 8 y/o is picky when it comes to batting gloves. He can even complain about batting gloves that make squeaky noises.

Warstic batting gloves for the WIN! He likes that material as they don’t make any sound, their comfort level is superior and their overall look is clean and stylish. Let’s face it, the baseball swag aspect is just important as their functionality.

My son is hard on gloves period!! He’s playing at the collegiate level at Georgia College and State University so he uses them everyday. He develops these bad calluses on his palms so we needed a really good glove.

We’ve tried others but they just don’t stand the test. These Watstic gloves…. they are the real deal! They stand up to his abuse and they’re light enough to still be functional. On top of that, the color scheme makes them stand out.

Unless you have the same pair, there is NO WAY that a team mate can pick them up and say, “I thought those were mine. ” After a scrimmage a few weeks ago, he thought he had lost them. I offered to run to a local sports store to get a pair.

He said absolutely not! It’s Warstic gloves or nothing. He went online and ordered another pair. Next day, his teammate told him that he saw them laying in the dugout so he put them up for him. The Warstic gets much respect.

Purchased as a gift. Product seems to be decent quality at first observation, still way behind Bruce Bolt, but for half the price I figured it was worth a shot. We will never know how they hold up however as the do not fit.

Sizing seems to be (Undersized) so go one size bigger if you decide to trial and purchase. Be prepare however that once you complete your purchase you are on an island! Their customer service is extremely poor.

I have inquired through the “returns and exchanges” sections of their website three times over the past month on how to return these things with zero indication that my request has been received, let alone processed.

Very open of the hard time our Boys had over there and the idea of killing people. If by accident something happens to someone you are connected to got hurt. You would do whatever it took to fix the situation.

These Boys never saw DEATH coming. Friends, Brothers and people you love. This Book opened the door to how bad these guys felt. They live with this feelings day and night and the incidents that occur play like a movie over and over again in their heads.

Remember these guys & girls were only kids. Pushed to strange places to live in the dirt, grim, and getting shot and shooting someone as old as they were and not knowing why they are all doing in this strange land.

The book was excellent in explaining some of these things but it pulled you right into the war itself. What else can I say it help me to understand some of the things that went on. Helping a friend to be able to talk to them and not make a judgement.

IT was very well written with great details of actual events and of the men who fought. The marine who wrote this was well grounded and able to maintain level headed thinking in the chaotic turmoil of war time.

His thoughts and comments are both amusing and straight forward. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and found it very relative even in today’s time. In fact, I bought it for my library after reading a copy from the library.

I would recommend young and older folks to read. It is enlighting to say the least.

I really got some understanding of war from this book. Very good author, and he really stressed how soldiers are not prepared for war, are mere kids, and the impact it has on them for the rest of their lives.

Some parts were very sad, some funny, and the author in general did a great job. I read a LOT of books, and this one really touched me in several ways. There was more content about feelings, emotions, etc.

than action, although there was still quite a bit of action. Some of them really had me on the edge of my seat.

First off the stick is light compared to my Warrior foam core. There is a different feel when the puck contacts the blade and paddle. It’s a more brittle feel compared to a solid feel. I feel there is more vibration on puck contact compared to a foam core stick.

The price was right for me. Can’t justify paying $300 on a stick that’s going to be used in pick up and occasional beer league game.

The senior version of the M1 still has a lot of the feature and minimus carbon of the pro and pro+ The big difference is weight – if that’s the most important thing to you, spring a bit extra for the Pro or Pro+.

Otherwise this stick (I ordered with the more extreme blade curve) is really good at throwing shots down the ice and has led me to have a better shot. It’s light but not too ridiculous, somewhere in a nice medium range so poke checks are easy but there is weight when you need to shop a 5 hole across the ice.

The slide grip is great, not so much sticky stuff so you can poke very quickly. Over all, I am really happy I bought this stick.

Awesome sticks. Current one is going almost 3 years and still going strong, being used 3-5 times a week. Bought 2 more as they were on sale. Should be good for a few more years haha. Havent had the chance to use the new ones yet but id expect the same durability and quality.
