20 Best Long Range Cordless Phones (2023 Updated)

Bought this phone for working away from front desk at a Hotel. This has great range. Co-worker forgot it in his pocket after leaving work and he answered a call when he was 3 blocks away (LOL). Easy to use.

Would recommend if you are looking for a phone with long range.

I am using this cordless phone at the front desk of a large hotel. Reaches from end to end of the hotel. We never miss a call anymore. Worth buying for us. Update: These phones have very poor volume and is difficult to hear.

One of the phones I bought has stopped charging.

I purchased this handset after the old one broke after 4 years of use. It is a great product to add to the Engenius base. Great quality and best price around!

Best comparison landline phone I could find to replace my old Panasonic phone. One would of thought after 19 years since my last phone purchase, phone technology would of been greatly improved. Struggled searching for a phone which had all of the features my old one had, ended up going without a few i.

e. color screen, different ringers, and some other features I rarely used. This VTech is nice and price was great, The Bluetooth technology is an added feature. The Smart Call Blocker is the only real advantage my old phone didn’t have, and this hands down is the best thing invented in years, all those scam calls not filling my answering system every evening.

Until you get used to it and have your family & friends loaded in phone book, all calls are screened, you do have option to turn it off, but why when this is an asset to deter scammers, which I got more calls from them than from people I know.

I needed the ringer light, my old one had different colors & ring tones for different people in phonebook, this one is just amber, still handy feature I utilize a lot. Was very easy to link cell phone phonebook for a technically challenged person to this phone.

Haven’t tested out the range yet to comment. The menu is easy to scroll thru and operate. Love the fact again that I have an expandable system, this time with more phones to place around the house so I’m not always running to pick up.

And my old phone had Caller ID which was a Must Have feature to keep one from running thru the halls, this VTech also has Caller ID,.

I’ve had these for 3 weeks and I’m very pleased with them. I had no issues with set-up. I printed out the relevant pages of the online manual & read through the procedure several times before starting and there were no surprises.

I set the time once & it has not changed by itself as some users complain – I have to guess that they are not following the procedure correctly. I don’t have a smart phone to pair with these phones so don’t know about that function.

I manually entered my phonebook. Everything I use is working fine. Volume (another area a few reviewers complain about) is quite acceptable, including on speaker and messages. I must say the statement of range is ludicrous! My house is 300 feet off the road, across a meadow, with no obstructions but one stone wall between the road and the base station.

The first day I tested it & lost the signal less than halfway out to the road. Paradoxically the signal was strong for 100 feet through 3 walls in a different direction. The range is not an issue for me as I don’t plan to need them outside.

They do work through several stone walls all over inside the house, including down in the cellar which is something I was concerned about. The only things I would wish for would be for: 1) All the handsets to beep when there is a new message.

If I’ve been out, I have to remember to go to the base station to check on that. 2) The set to use standard batteries you can buy anywhere rather than having to go to the manufacturer. I’m really glad I chose this set and that I finally got them.

I had been looking at cordless phones for a long time but there are a lot of negative reviews about all of them. I don’t see how you can go wrong with this set.

I’ve owned VTech phones before, and they performed excellently, with changes of the rechargeable batteries every few years and were still working fine after about 10 years. However, they used the old phone lines and jacks in the house, and we lost service for a couple of days whenever it rained, presumable because the phone lines got wet.

The reason I bought this new set of 5 is to completely bypass old phone lines and jacks in the house. The main station plugs directly into the modem, which provides landline VOIP voice service over the internet using XFinity.

The other four phones around the house only need to be plugged in at the base, and do not require any jacks or phone lines. The sound quality is fine and the layout of buttons is convenient. I synced my cell phone, but don’t expect to use this feature much (the cell phone must be within 30 feet of the base for this to work).

I also don’t expect to use the junk call filter because in general I would need to enter the allowed phone numbers one at a time and the blocked numbers one at a time (not able to import my contact list from my iMac or iPhone).

Altogether an excellent value, five phones including base for under $130. These use a slightly different rechargeable battery (BT183342/BT283342) from my previous VTech phones.

I had a Panasonic phone system, but it only had one handset. Now that my parents are elderly, I needed two handsets so I could keep one in my bedroom in the event of an emergency call during the night (two story house).

Due to the fantastic old age of my original phone, I could not find a second handset that would work with it. Therefore, I bought a brand-new Panasonic phone with two handsets. I highly recommend all Panasonic products because they actually work for an extended period of time.

No problem setting up. Has a big screen that is easy to read and see. Love the ring tone. Easy to hear. I have another older Panasonic phone. Loved it, but it quit working. Would recommend this new phone to anyone looking for one.

Love the speaker inside of the receiver. The reception is excellent.

Like many other Panasonic phones, good speaker and seems to be a solid phone. BUT you have to enter every single letter and number into the address book by hand and a name can only have 1 number associated with it.

You can’t have Mom’s cell and home number under Mom. When entering a second line for Mom, it will ask to delete Mom’s first number. If you have a LOT of people in your address book, look for a Panasonic with Link2Cell, like the Panasonic KX-TGM430B Link2Cell Bluetooth Amplified Cordless Phone or the Panasonic KX-TGD562M Link2Cell, or KX-TGD564M, or KX-TGF575S, or KX-TGD593W.

I wish I could say this is a great phone. I purchased as a gift for my elderly parents. They absolutely loved it. until they had a power outage and the base unit no longer functioned. After troubleshooting didn’t work and reading the fine print of the warranty, we trashed that base unit and purchased a second phone thinking we had a bad base unit.

We had another power outage and. you guessed it. the base unit quit working again. This time I contacted Panasonic and am out a phone until they examine it to determine whether warranty covers the issue.

We had a Panasonic phone for 15 years before purchasing this one. Part of the reason we stayed with Panasonic was because of the lack of issues from the last one. That 15 year phone survived MANY power outages with NO issues, using the exact same wall outlet as these new units.

I am disappointed this phone doesn’t meet our expectations to survive power failures and last longer than a few months. One base unit I can write off as a bad unit. Two base units with the same issue I call a faulty design.

I gave two stars because all the features for the phone are great, especially the speakerphone on each of the handsets.

This Panasonic cordless phone system works great, and it is a big improvement over the Panasonic system that I purchased in 2008. When comparing this model (KX-TGE433B) to other cordless phone systems, keep in mind that this one has a headset jack that is very useful for long calls.

This model will provide battery backup and allow the phone to work for a few hours during a power outage. The Panasonic Link2Cell Cordless Phones do not have either of these features (headset jack or battery-backup during a power outage).

I wish Target sold this system with 4 headsets, but I was able to order an extra handset elsewhere.

Our Panasonic phone system was over twelve years old and two of the three phone batteries corroded the handsets. We found this Panasonic system online at Target. It appeared to be good quality and attractive -this proved to be true.

Once a person understands where the menu prompts are the setup is quite easy. The manual is quite extensive and the system can be customized – even used as an intercom. Setting up one handset takes care of the other two automatically.

The handsets are more streamlined than our older units, but easy to get used to. The numbers are large. Volume controls are on the side of the handset – be careful so they do not get bumped (you may get an earful).

The finish is black but is easy to clean and should be durable. The system can also be expanded for additional handsets. Charging initially takes awhile but is not any worse than other systems. Some commands take time and patients to learn, but following the manual will greatly help.

Overall, a very good system for the home. On sale it is a good value. Use the Target card for a 5% discount.

Purchased the phone at Covington Plaza, Fort Wayne, IN store. Sales rep, Ryan was very helpful and knowledgeable. Helped me select the right product to meet my business needs. I ported a cellphone # to a non-Bluetooth router which I attached to the Panasonic base.

Communication via Panasonic headset #KX-TCA430 pairs well and sound quality is excellent. I recommend this phone to anyone seeking an easy and economical way to set up a small business phone system.

This phone system has large buttons and announces who is calling. I use it with a headset while in audio meetings. The phone flashes when you have a call or when you have a missed call or voicemail. What I really like is that I can check my messages from the handset.

It also does not play your message but waits for the callers message instead. Seems to be geared for older people – large buttons, clear audio, flashes to notify of a call, it can even connect to your cell via bluetooth.

I highly recommend this phone for anyone.

Cordless handset does not have hold button, you have to through a sequence to put on hold or you can put the handset back on the stand and hope the hold button works. It’s hard to hear unless you have perfectly on your ear.

I would return it but the time limit is up. 14 days is not very long to decide if you like the phone, features etc.

The phone works great. My old cordless phone had some noise interference and this one doesn’t. I also like the features of this phone. I am able to block numbers, which I couldn’t on my old phone. I just wish there was a way to put the phone in “do not disturb” mode with less steps.

my old phone I just had to press and hold the “quiet” key for 1 second to turn this feature on/off. This phone requires multiple steps to accomplish that. It does everything I need it to do and it doesn’t cost too much.

Overall I’m happy with it.

Still giving this 5 stars. comparing to my burgundy colored one i have had for years! The buttons are smaller and it does bug me they have the speaker button under the star. where on the other phone @ a different place and did not bug you where they put it.

this one have to make sure do not click it when you are needing to press the star button. Burgundy phone buttons wore off one phone and the other phone was fine my mom’s phone was fine but the other handset the #7 was stuck on it! This sound quality is not as loud.

why did they change that. important! When i bought this Silver one. thought it would be Silver on the back. not white. So far not showing the dirt. I mean we do have clean hands. but when answering the phone – we are not going to go wash our hands.

so we do not get this phone dirty. So far no need to do that. lol Hmmm why 5 stars. guess this phone is fine. probable still lucky they make these phones. Still trying to hold on to old technology instead of focusing us all to have cell phones.

The guys have cell phone (for 3 yrs)-mom did not get one. Yep just what i wanted was another BiLL! Number keypad needs to be a little bigger but if you text alot. will not bother you! Hope the numbers do not wear off ~ Hope this heLps!.

I was replacing a Panasonic land line I bought in 2000. I thought this one would be better and have more features, but I was wrong. The handset that goes with the answering system base kept falling out; the ringer was not very loud; the ring tones were irritating and I returned it.

(I gave it two stars because it looked good.

I bought this phone to replace the older Panasonic phones that I bought over 7 years ago. First of all, these new phones do NOT even come close to performing like my old units. The sound quality is not nearly as good, The hands free mode requires one to be quite close by, or the person on the other end can’t clearly hear me.

I can switch to one of my older phones and everything works much better. The new phones were advertised to have many hours of operation and standby before having to be recharged. The batteries have to be recharged nearly every day, and that is after very little use.

My older Panasonics would go sometimes four or five days between charges. I am having to charge these new phones two or three times more often than the older ones. The range on the new phones is not nearly as good as the older ones.

The older phones had a belt clip that was very handy, they deleted the clip on the newer models. The display stays on too long after a call is finished, unless it is placed in the charging cradle. this doesn’t help the batter charge any either! Overall, I am greatly disappointed in Panasonic’s new version.

If I could buy their older model, I would be very satisfied. “Newer”, “Improved” are terms that absolutely don’t apply to these newer units. Especially don’t believe their specifications about extended battery charge intervals.

totally wrong!!.

This is the best phone system for simplicity. I have had this system for several years and needed to add two additional handsets to the system. Buying additional handsets was expensive, so I just bought another basic set, deregistered the new handsets from the base they came with and then registered the new handsets to my old base.

Worked like a charm, and now I have four handsets in my home that work off of the same base unit. These phones lack a earphone jack or pocket clip, which would make them perfect. The sound quality is really good.

Highly recommended.

November 2017 I purchased the Panasonic Panasonic KX-TGD512, and this model appears to be almost identical. All of these Panasonic models appear to “operate” identically. I’m always looking online to get quick easy directions on “how to” block a “range of numbers” or free up more space to block new numbers, as I quickly used up the 150 numbers I was able to block using the phone.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ability to block numbers! After you add a number to be blocked (simple easy steps,) it rings one time then cuts them off! Today, for the third time, I added a “range” of numbers to block–I’ve been getting a lot of caller ID numbers that start with 011, I decided that because nobody I know or care to speak with has a telephone number starting with ZERO, that I would simply add that to the list, now anytime that “fake number” is put into that spammers calling system, they will be cut off–BAM! After about two years, because I tend to hit the off button multiple times when I hang up the phone (I don’t know why, I’m weird) the red writing on the off button is about 85% worn off, and the green talk button is about 40% worn off.

Maybe that is why they came up with a new model that looks almost identical to mine, maybe they’ve upgraded the imprinting of the answer on/off buttons. Regardless, I would recommend this phone to EVERYONE.

Stop unwanted calls in their tracks! There are companies out there you can pay a few bucks a month to that will block unwanted calls for you–and their system works just the same, your telephone WILL ring one time, then disconnect them.

When you fill up the block feature, just go in to the first 25 numbers you blocked and delete them, those people gave up a year ago! I went through my block list and noticed a specific area code coming up in my spam calls and went in and deleted all of THOSE numbers, then simply added that area code to the block list, thereby freeing up about 25 new slots for blocking.

So if you notice a lot of your spam calls are coming from a specific area code and you don’t know anyone with that area code, just block the entire range of numbers! Anyway, after enjoying the feature today once again, I thought, you really ought to let others know how great this phone is! So there you have it! Oh, I also love the ability to call my son who is located too far away on the other side of the house to just “yell out to” I simply use the intercom on the phone and buzz him.

ONE CON about that is: the intercom that buzzes the other phones inside the house so you can call a family member on the phone who is in another room–is ALSO the phone locator, meaning, if you can’t find your phone and you push the locate button to help you find the phone you laid down somewhere–it is going to buzz ALL the phones, therefore, if my son is taking a nap in his room and I buzz the phone, I will wake him up.

And that locator button STILL beeps even if you have the ringer turned off. I finally learned to stop doing that when he is napping–when he is napping if I can’t find the phone, I just call the phone with my cell to locate it.

(his ringer is ALWAYS off, it is in his room simply to allow me to page him rather than get a little exercise by walking to the other end of the house. (heaven forbid!).

I was looking for a great quality home phone and i searched a lot. I come to know about this Vtech Extended range Corded and cordless phone. This is a great quality product. This phone has a Caller id and phone speaker feature which make it stand unique.

This phone also come with call blocking feature and you can block upto 150 name and number which i love the most. This is wide ranging phone you can use this from a long distance receiver. This phone can also record voicemail upto 22 minutes which is really good.

This can also be controlled with voice recognition and you can choose any digit answer mode. I am using it since couple weeks and i can say this is the best product if you are looking to buy.

I got this as a gift for my Grandparents because they have such a hard time dialing on their home phone because the numbers are too small. they also have an issue with their phone that stops working because of being drop too many times.

Since I got them this they have to problem with dialing with the big numbers and they can read who is call with the big screen. Now every time I talk to them I can hear them better because even if they drop the portable/cordless phone they can talk on the phone with a cord.

All in All great gift and now I am closer to being their favorite granddaughter.

I can’t think of anything negative to say about this unit. It looks good, it performs as advertised (very well), has a myriad of settings for customization and is priced right. The important thing for me was the weight of the base unit.

I have it in the bedroom on a night-table next to the bed. When I pick up the receiver and pull it to me, the base unit stays on the table when the cord is stretched. I had another brand that was so light-weight, picking up and stretching the cord would pull the base unit right off the table.

Performance of the cordless handset is excellent as well. Sound is great, battery life is outstanding and it has a small footprint. The base unit display is large enough for me to read it without my glasses too, day or night.

This is an Awesome Cordless Phone! I bought and returned so many cordless phones over the last few years. Why? I couldn’t find a phone that would work at my next door neighbor’s house. I am over there a lot.

All the other cordless phones I purchased would stop working before I got out of my yard. This phone works everywhere in my neighbors house, It also works a little over a block from my house. Great dependable phone with decent battery life.

You can also add multiple extensions to the base. The handsets can call each other internally. This phone has an answering machine, really good speakerphone and a belt clip.

Follow the instructions! They are there for good reason! Most of the bad reviews are undoubtedly written by those that didnt or have poor reading comprehension! Once followed and set up this phone worked just as claimed.

I walked to my neighbors house which is over 400 yards away while talking to my sister in NJ and not only was the call crystal clear but never even a glitch. This phone does and is everything it says it is! Before you bad mouth it make sure YOU followed the directions properly!.

Well, I checked the reviews it’s looks to me really good cordless phones but it’s not that long range. On review some one says more that miles works fine but it’s not true at all. I tried it but these cordless phones are ok to use in small properties works fine.

OUR OLD ONE HAD A DIM GREEN DISPLAY. THE NUMBER KEYS ARE ALOT LARGER THAN THE AT&T, & ARE EASIER ON THE OLDER EYES. THESE UNITS ALSO HAVE A INTERCOM, THAT SAVES ME ALOT OF STEPS WHEN I WANT TO TALK TO THE WIFE IN ANOTHER PART OF OUR HOME.

I BOUGHT OUR AT&T PHONES IN 2006 FOR $76. , SO FOR $80. THESE WERE A BARGAIN.

I have been using the Panasonic Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System for about 2 years now and haven’t had a negative experience. Each phone receiver has crystal clear reception on the receiver and sound doesn’t distort when I switch to speaker mode.

I find the caller ID to be very easy to read in all lighting situations and navigating through the menu is a simple task. I like that I can access all of my message from any handset, but it’s much easier to do so from the main unit by simply pushing a single button on the dock.

I have on several occasions misplaced a handset and had to send an alert to it from another receiver to locate it. I also like being able to use the intercom system to communicate with someone in another area of the house.

What I like most about this phone is that it has been left off the charging dock for several days and showed no signs of dying. I would definitely recommend the Panasonic Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System because it doesn’t require any upkeep, direct setup, and its compact.

Overall the phone does what I need. Set up was easy and I like the expanded phone book and call blocking which my previous Panasonic system didn’t have. (The old one died after 8 years). I have not used the answering machine as I have that through my phone company.

I have only found 2 things which that I’m not impressed with. First the sound quality and volume of the handsets are not as good as my old system; they are adequate but my old system was better. Second, my old system blinked when I had a message on my answering service with the phone company and this one does not.

It does show I have a message on the handset screen but the blinking on my previous model as more convenient. Considering the price I feel it is a good product.

This is probably one of the better phones out there. It has a long battery life, can hear clearly (with exception of some rare echoing), long range usage from base, can read screen clearly and utilize key functions.

Key functions for me are: Caller ID with name AND number, call waiting with caller ID, call block, redial, Speaker phone, handset locator on base, is a larger phone, and message notification even with voicemail.

I also like being able to choose the ring tone, volume of ring tones as well as the key tone (sound when you press keys), adjust separate volume for speaking. There is a mute/delete button, equalizer button (this adjusts the tone of the person speaking to you by adding more bass or treble or leave as natural).

Background of screen is light gray, black print, keys look black until turned on then light up in orange, The charging light is easily seen on the handset. Answering system is easy to use. Reason for 3 stars, one battery received did not charge, when placed the good FULLY charged battery in the second handset, that handset would not work or charge the “good’ battery.

Also, even though the “good” battery was fully charged, once you remove it and replug back into handset, you can’t use it as the handset and bettery has to be fully charged AGAIN. That’s just crazy and inconvenient.

Customer service for AT&T was going to send out a new battery to try however it would take 7-10 business days to get here and there is only a 30 day return on phone. And that 30 day return starts as of the day it is SHIPPED.

So I am returning the product as I am also going to need a new handset which will prolong things even further. I would try it again if I decide to keep my landline.

I was interested in a system that mounted on a wall. The copy points read that it did. Yes the main box does mount, but the extra handset does not. I built a little platform to hold it on the wall near my bed.

Next, while the sound is good, it sounds a bit tinny. I have an older larger portable which sounds more realistic/clearer than the ATT new one. It has a hands-free speaker, but when using it, if you decide to pick up the handset, you must dis-engage the speaker by hand and turn on the handset, rather than just picking up the phone and have it automatically take priority, which my old one did.

It does have a good number of beneficial attributes which, if one reads the instructions and experiments with the phone, they can be very useful. Missed calls, quick dials, and speaker phone on the wall and handsets and more.

I like this system, and may decide it is great, once I get used to it.

For those that still have and landline or are planning on getting one. This phone system is super easy to set up and use. It has a ton of features, so it truly is flexible mor most people/families. Took less than 5 minutes to set up, and another 10 to program with the help of the super easy to understand manual.

Can’t go wrong with this one!.

i have a 15 year old version of this but I wanted a better call block feature. Sadly, the older stuff was made better. Older remotes seem stronger signal-wise, newer remotes only had 600 mAh batteries, feel almost too light, and the older buttons were classy, the newer are a little cheaper but bigger.

They swapped the top and second row of the on, off, and speaker buttons. The voice clarity is no better but not meaningfully worse. I’m good with tech and no phone book entry transfer seemed to work.

But, the call block does work and is very easy to use, just press “call block” after an unwanted call and it will not repeat. Unfortunately, call block only works on the number and not the caller ID, too.

I’m keeping it and trying to be comfortable. Recommend it but keep your expectations modest.

Ok, my 5th Panasonic phone system and these have all the latest features. Call one button blocking with code required to finish the call. Total block of all numbers listed in the standard exclude bank and what you added.

Needed changes: Dial tone very loud and volume for speaker voice needs to be higher. A head set will fix most of these issues and any 2. 5MM headset with a microphone will work nicely. BT only works on base phone.

Unfortunately most base phones these days are at the cable modem which is never in a convenient location. If you are wiring a house when it is new/ bribe the electrician to make all com connections behind your media center and then run quality LAN and Telephone cable to each room from the media center wall.

Then run one RG-6 cable and one heavy duty telephone wire to your outside access point.

I bought the system to replace an existing older Panasonic system with limited call blocking. After activating the spam blocking, all incoming calls that were not in my contact phone #’s were blocked.

However, you can block individual unwanted callers. 2nd: My old wall mount base system had an access hole to tighten the bottom screw to firmly secure the base unit. The new base unit did not. It took a lot of time to screw in the bottom screw to secure the base firmly to the wall.

Each time you have to remove the base to make the adjustment. So far, the only two issues. Other than that, GREAT SYSTEM.

I have 6 handsets as well as the base. for 4-5 years. They have worked perfectly. Sound quality and range are perfect. Lost one handset at home and purchased a replacement. Found the lost one in a sofa.

Now I have a spare!.

Had set of 4 handsets, one of which fell in water and went kaput! Needed replacement, and this refurbished unit was a great buy: inexpensive, good shape physically, and good sound. And delivery was fast! Only problem was setup, and needed an obscure setup code deep in the manual to get this handset to connect to base and share stored data.

Once done, handset has done super! Good as old original unit before the H2O disaster.

This is an excellent addition to the Panasonic wireless telephone system. It extends the range of the signals dramatically.

This phone is absolutely amazing! we use it on 48 acre farm and i can take it anywhere on the farm with me and make and receive phone calls! I was a little skeptical at first but now I don’t miss any calls when I have to step away from the house!.

I got so tired of running across the room to answer a call. Now we have 4 phones. One for every convenient location in the office. Saves time by not running across the room and missing calls. Saves money by not having to install 4 phone lines.

Just one. I hardly ever have to run anymore to the phone so it surely saves my energy. I love them they make my workday so much better. I recommend them for anyone who can use them. They are day savers.

I purchased the second set of cordless phone made by AT&T. The first set was wonderful and worked fine. I thought something was wrong with them since they were older so I got a new set. Come to find out it was where I had set the base.

It was on a inside room and wasn’t getting proper signal from the tower. I moved it to an outside wall near a window and it works fine. I kept the second set of phone and gave the first set to my daughter.

They work just fine at her house. We’ll try for another 15 years.

Replaced an old system. Much clearer messaging. Nice size buttons an backlit. Although it has the call announcer, I do not like it and turned it off. Not clear enough. Wish it would hold more numbers in the directory as 50 is just not enough.

I bought a clip jam music player from this company. We put music on it, gave it to my daughter for her birthday, she asked to put a few more songs on it, so we tried to do that and the computer doesn’t recognize it anymore.

It hadn’t gotten any use and is a piece of junk. Because I purchased it early to make sure it arrived for her birthday we missed the return window. Bummed I wasted $40 and my daughter’s birthday present didn’t work which is sad for her.

Seller said we missed the window and they can’t help. Beware purchasing from this company!.

Very cool features, though somewhat difficult to setup for seniors. Unfortunately we returned ours as certain settings would not hold and we felt our current system was simpler to use. It arrived in very clean and scratch free condition like it had never been used.

Pairing to a cell was very simple, calls were clear. Shame it did not fit our needs and had a defect. Batteries take many hours to charge so be patient.

Pros: Good value as a refurbished phone, looked just like new and worked just like it should. The printed instruction manual was well written and easy to understand The backup powered handset is a great feature just in case of power failures.

The speaker phone works and sounds good also. Having 5 handsets puts the phone into every room. Cons: Cant think of anything significantly wrong with these phones. The batteries dont last long when the phone is out of its charger base but charge up fairly fast There are many features built into the phone but take some time to figure them out.

I like the features and how easy it is to use. The intercom system is great. I have a three-acre yard. I can go anywhere I want and still talk to my parents in the house. Speakerphone function can only be used by two handsets at a time.

The Speakerphone volume could be better. The instruction book could be a little clearer on some functions such as the baby monitor I still have not figured that one out.

I havent had the need for a home phone in almost 10 yrs with primarily using cellular, but its a good backup with VOIP such as MagicJack being so cheap. Voice calls were crystal clear. Baby monitoring works, but it has to be a crying sound (doesnt alert with conversations).

Ive always enjoyed Panasonic. Cant comment on handheld distance from Home Base as I dont have a big yard.

Bluetooth link is amazing. This is 3rd Panasonic system I’ve had and it works just like a landline. Once paired, it takes only seconds as it automatically copies your cellphone contacts to phone. I use blacklist program on cell, so don’t need to use blocking feature on Panasonic, but do love Panasonic’s ability to silence blocked calls with no rings.

Have had so many new devices to learn lately. Was much relieved to find the phone very easy to install – just disconnect the old and plug in the new. I ran the voice set up and everything worked, even the voice mail.

Sound quality is fine. But i lost all my contacts and still have not figured out how replace them. Since I don’t have them installed, I’m at the mercy of tele-marketers. There should be an easy way to transfer them too.

We bought this set to replace a similar one that we had and used for over ten years. We do not get consistent mobile coverage where we live so we maintain our land line. This set has served us well as it includes caller ID for screening calls and an answering set-up.

I would recommend it as reliable and simple to set up and use. The first stopped working I think due to the battery, but 10 years is a long time for electronics at this time. The technology has not changed much and the set looks and functions the same as older model.

The hands free AT&/T desk and extra phone is not so easy. Overall it is clear except the speaker which sounds scratchy. It is frustrating to make a call because the call keeps dropping. It was super easy to add to the director and set up the voice mail.

However the ergonomics of the hand set is not designed well. The phone keeps dropping out of my hand, I feel clumsy. Would not buy another one.

Sound quality seems to be pretty good. People I have talked to said it’s good. Quality is pretty good on my end, but could be better. The phones are light weight, but stand up and comfortable in you hand.

Programming is a little challenge, but once you get figured out ok. I have to go back to the manual each time I do something x but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. It is not selfexplainitory. Has backlighting on the numbers, but not on the screen, therefore I have to turn on a light to read the smaller numbers and letters.

The inexpensive price and extensions make it worth it to me. Like the find handset feature.

Good basic cordless phone with one significant flaw – the display font size and lack of backlighting makes the Caller ID very hard to read. IF the user’s eyesight is less than perfect – don’t choose this cordless phone.

That said, it has good battery life and average range when using the phone away from the base. I’ve previously been very satisfied with VTech phones but this set is a big disappointment.
