Love the length and padded handle. Was using a cheaper cotton training lead that was ripping from use and years of different puppies/young dogs chewing on it. I use this leash for walks on a nature path.

My dog loves to roam on the sides of the path but is still not 100% with recall, so he has to be leashed. The one thing that I wish they would fix on this leash, even if it added a few dollars to the price, is a better “snap”.

I’ve only been using the leash for about 2 weeks and the snap is already hard to open when clipping the leash onto my dog’s collar. It is very low quality compared to the leash and I think will be the first thing to fail.

This leash was a great purchase. I have a Newfi/Great Pyrenees puppy that chewed through several leashes so this was a must have. She was never able to chew through this so it was worth every penny. The padded handle is comfortable and easy to hold onto.

It’s a good length and love the big carabiner which makes it easy to attach. We give it 2 paws up 🐾.

This leash is absolutely perfect! The handle is easy on your hand and easy to put over your wrist so your hold is secure. The clasp to hook onto your dog’s collar or harness is top-notch and super easy to open/attach/close.

The leash is chew proof, other than the handle. My sweet little one chewed thru two other leashes quickly before I found this one. I highly recommend it!.

I purchased this leash because I was tired of my 11 mo old puppy chewy g up all of his leashes. This is good for resolving that problem with minor exceptions like the hand strap and the rubber guards.

I no longer use it as a leash because of the chewed up hand strap but it is useful for confining him in the house and he obviously can’t chew through it.

I had this leash for 10 days. My dog is 4 months old and weighs 25 lbs, but is very strong. She was playing with a little girl in a store and the leash broke. The part that attached to the color just snapped.

The dog was about 5 feet from the exit and made a beeline for it. Thankfully she was a little scared and came back to me. I grabbed her with another customer. It was very scary. This leash is very inexpensive for a reason.

I purchased this leash for my chihuahua. I have been looking in stores and the only ones found are either 1 inch wide or 4 ft long. It is almost impossible to find a 6 ft long leash with 3/4 inch width.

I am used to using this size and after looking for a long time I found them on Chewy. They are well made also.

This leash seems small & great for our new puppy. The lock kept getting stiffer & stiffer and now on day 9 of owning our puppy it cannot be opened. If you happen to get it open it is a struggle & painful for your thumb.

It is not jammed with sand & 5 different people struggling trying to open it.

Love this leash. Bought it for my big puppy. He’s not a big fan of leashes this one he can go quite a way and he’s learned if I gently tug it to come back. It’s great for me introducing him to our other dogs I can give him room to play but I can make it where I’m close enough to him while introducing him to everyone else with no problem.

I just really like the length of this one and it seems alot more heavy duty compared to others that he chews right through. Perfect for bigger pups.

I use this for playing ball with my dog in an unfenced area. Keeping my dog safe while exercising is top priority for me. Putting 2 of these together gives her the freedom while keeping her safe

What can I say? It’s a nylon leash. Works well with our pit bull rescue. However they can chew right through if left unattended. Otherwise it’s a good buy.

I bought this leash over a year ago, and use it every day for my Boston Terrier. He runs out into the road and everywhere if he is not on a leash when we take him out to potty. I was skeptical at first because I wondered if this leash would retract like it is suppose to.

It does. It retracts quickly when Rocket runs toward me, so the ribbon is never on the ground getting caught on things or wrapped around his legs. The retracting mechanism is very good quality. We use this leash every day and it has never gotten tangled and has never delayed when retracting.

The break on this leash works very well as long as you hold it down. It doesn’t lock very well, but that isn’t a problem for me. You just need to hold the break down as I stated before. Boston Terriers aren’t big, but they are power-houses, so I bought the large size.

This has been a very good leash, and I recommend it if you are wanting one that faithfully retracts and releases. I plan to buy another one.

Bought this leash hoping it would work for our two chihuahua and chinese crested dogs. Sadly it’s a bit too big and bulky for them. The quality of the leash is good and feels great in hand, but the medium/large size is for dogs probably 35lbs.

& over. It’s got some weight to it. Also the connection where the two leashes meet also does not have that swivel piece that allows the dogs to move freely and not get tangled onto each other. For these reasons I would not recommend this leash.

I love this leash. Feels good in the hand. Wraps around a post and secures if necessary. Has great strength, good size clip. My dog is 11 lbs but when she pulls or resists, her strength is remarkable.

Bought this along with the collar. Glad I bought the Sm/M as it is long enough. Nice material that I believe will hold up with daily use. I like the rope much better than our other thin flat one we were using.

It fits my girl Trixie really well. The colors are not as vibrant in real, but it still looks very trendy and cute. The clip is plastic, so if you plan on walking your large dog with this, I would recommend using a harness as a backup in case it breaks loose.

Trixie walks really well, so its unlikey to snap while using it with her. I generally find blueberry products a bit pricey for the items you recieve, but if you don’t mind spending some extra bucks for the cuter stuff, its a good buy.

My dog is a 85 lbs Labrador retriever. She runs through the woods, swims, plays rough with other dogs no matter what she does this collar holds up. It’s been about 2 years and it’s in perfect condition.

I got the large emerald green collar. It looks really nice. I have had other Blueberry Pet collars they always last a long time, but this one is best!.

I was really excited to order this collar because I was specifically looking for one that was soft and comfortable for my short-haired dog. This one had great reviews about being comfortable, so I decided to order it.

The pattern and color are super cute and it’s definitely durable. However. There are two spots on the collar where the end of the fabric is sewn into the collar, and not only are the edges of the fabric sharp, but the threads are sharp and plastic-like.

A dog with long hair might not care but I was definitely not comfortable putting this on my girl. In the interest of saving time and money, I wrapped washi tape around the sharp parts which covers them nicely, but of course I’m going to have to change the tape periodically.

Not sure if this is a quality control issue or if this is typical. If it’s quality control, I’d love to be sent another one. One other issue I had is that it’s difficult to adjust as the collar is quite thick as collars go and I have trouble pulling it through the plastic loops to loosen it.

I want to keep it because it’s so cute but it’s not what I expected based on other reviews.

This leash is perfect for those who have one pet to walk. I was looking for something other than a retractable leash because I walk two dogs at a time and thought I would try two of these. What a mess.

They get tangled up constantly, not because of the leashes but because sometimes they walk together and sometimes they do not. Lol. I still recommend this leash because it is sturdy and reflective. I will donate it to a shelter.

I love these leashes! I have 4 large dogs and can/will walk the block with them all at once. They are not super well-trained, so I have a habit of not using the handle and just wrapping two leashes around each hand – easier to keep leashes untangled as they explore all over! But the padding and the way the leash is made is so much easier on my hands than cheaper/smaller/thinner leashes.

The first set of 4 I bought have held up at least 3 years now. I am just now coming back to replace a couple just because. no real reason! Keeping the old ones as backups or for when they go stay with “the babysitter.

Have been searching for a simple reflective leash less than 1” width for some time. Seems like it should be easy to find but it’s not. Pros: very reflective on one side. Lightweight does not weigh down my dog.

Cons: only reflective on one side which doesn’t make sense, traffic can come from all directions. Handle is huge and is constantly falling off my hand, measured it against another leash and it is definitely a bigger loop.

There is nowhere to clip on the leash if you need to tie the dog for a few minutes, the clasp is too small to clip to the handle.

At first I was skeptical, wondering how much I could enjoy a plastic leash. I had pondered purchasing them for months. This last order, I bought a few to try them out – and I LOVE them! They are easy on the hands, give you a very positive grip if you have a dog that pulls and seem very durable.

This was my first time to purchase from JJ Dog. I received the biothane leashes (2) right on time. These leashes are great. They are waterproof so may be washed and dried off and they’re ready to go, unlike leather.

They are light weight as well, for a 6 foot leash. I would recommend these highly, as they were recommended to me.

I’ve always used a leather leash. Several months ago I bought a15ft Biothane leash & really like it. This 6 ft version is much nicer than any leather one I’ve ever owned. It’s very flexible & is not affected by the weather.

Today is Monday. I’ve had a leash for about 24 hours now. My male dog got fixed this past Thursday. I was having a lot of trouble getting him to relieve himself on a traditional leash. Saturday I ordered this leash and received it by Sunday.

It was as usual very grateful for Chuy‘s fast shipping! I am loving this leash so far! It has really been great! It gives my dog privacy when he wants to get further away to relieve himself. But still gives me control over where he goes and how far away from me he can get.

He weighs about 68 pounds. And I got the giant leash. It’s probably a little bit of overkill but. I would rather be safe than sorry. I plan on purchasing a second of this leash for our female dog that is about 83 pounds.

I love the audible clicking sound when locking and unlocking the leash. And like that it feels different to me anyways. When he is moving away or coming back towards me. The bright colors are great. And I will definitely be recommending this leash to friends and family I absolutely adore it!.

Having tried so many retractable leads, I will now never deviate from this high quality brand. The 10m lead is perfect for my sturdy, strong, collie/spaniel cross, a keen squirrel chasing dog – hence the need for this lead! Whilst the lead is heavier to carry, I find it aids my balance as It swings in my hand as I walk briskly.

The shorter leads have less resistance for the dog, which is better for gentle, less strong dogs. I walk for five to six hours a day, incorporating vigorous games and would expect the lead to last about a year or so.

The eventual downfall of the lead usually occurs when it becomes wet and frozen during sub-zero walks. Being so dependent upon these leads, I always keep a new spare in reserve. I shudder to think of approaching a non-pavement walk without it.

If you have a chewer I don’t think it would last long. My dog loves it because she can explore quite a range. It’s super bright & cheerful & glides easily. I noticed people complaining that it doesn’t have a lock feature but IT DOES actually.

You push the main button down and slide the front button forward, locking it. So, no, you don’t have to hold the button down all the time. One note: this leash DOES NOT work with the little treat/poop bag accessory that is advertised with it.

It works on some of their other leashes but all the space on this one is taken up with nylon. You will be VERY annoyed if you purchase the accessory!!!.

After spending probably a hundred dollars on various no pull solutions for my dogs, i have found a very reasonably price, EFFECTIVE solution in this leash! I have a 9 month old pup (47 pounds and growing) who apparently thinks he is a sled dog.

In his harness, he puts his chest into the chest strap and pulls like a husky, causing me to run much faster than i intend to run! His harness (the most effective thing until the leash) has a front ring to which you attach a leash that sort of trips him if he pulls, not my favourite thing! I am not entirely sure that i have this leash around him correctly but i attached the snap to his collar, pulled it under him and around his belly then fed the handle end through the red ring.

I think the secret is the belly band snugging up on him when he pulls because it was the best walk we have had in months!! For less than $12 it is worth the try. I bought 2!!.

This leash actually worked. I have a rescue dog, pit mix, solid as a rock. She pulls even with a harness. Saw a review and for the price, I thought what the heck. The first night out I thought I was imagining things, she started to pull, I pulled back, she showed down.

Great for dogs that need pull adjustment. Worked better then the choke chains. We used it on our Hound mix and have been using it on our pitbull puppies. World of difference.

I really wanted to love this leash, I’ve had it in my cart for months but finally decided to get it with a coupon i had. At 50$ its quite pricey but it is very well made and sturdy. Its got a very pretty shiny satiny embossed finish to it that I was not expecting.

I assumed it was the typical nylon leash material. The handle is very comfortable too. I like the fact is adjustable too. My only gripe is that while I bought the small size, I feel it is too big. The carabiner is pretty big although it is lightweight.

It also scratches VERY easily! My looks quite used after only one walk. I think this would be a great leash for a medium sized dog.

There are leashes and then there is gear, the kind of gear you take pleasure in using because it is so well made, so thoughtful. This leash is on its own level, from the padded handle, to the amazingly secure yet light carabiner collar/harness attachment, to the finely-made metal adjustment “slide” and the subtle camo design, you can tell that every element is intentional and well-considered.

Am I the kind of person who raves about the perfect mug or vacuum cleaner? No, not at all. Am I a gear head? No, not at all. I am the kind of person who appreciates quality and this leash has it all.

Although I use my hands occasionally to redirect my 19kg / 42lb medium height dog, most of the time it’s a completely relaxed hands free experience with the 4’ lead. Longer would be too much downtown, as it would allow him to roam towards street garbage and other distractions a bit too freely, but I can easily adjust the keash a couple of feet longer if we’re in a park.

Combines well with the hands free waist belt.

My dog isn’t a huge puller, but when I need to hold tight on tug her in, this leash is very rough on my hand and the rope is very thin/narrow. I basically have gotten rope burn. Maybe I should have exchanged for larger size, but I didn’t want to spend the money on shipping and returns when this was already a kind of expensive leash.

Despite the rope being smaller than expected, quality still seems great, it’s just not working out for me and my dog who occasionally pulls really hard when she gets really excited by another dog or the stray tissue.

Love the collar we got though, this leash is just not for us. Will probably donate to local rescue.

The leash is great. Looks beautiful with his harness. Perfect length. Good control. The carabiner doesn’t rotate which causes the leash to coil awkwardly. But my doggo is still just a puppy and sometimes chews on his leash or tries to play tug.

The reflective thread just doesn’t hold up to any kind of chewing playful or otherwise. It breaks easily and then is very sharp to the touch, not sure what it is made out of. This is unfortunate because I think it will affect the length of time we’re able to keep this leash for.

The rope is very sturdy, stiff and wrapped tightly with the outer nylon. The leash has a carabiner on the end that you can lock closed to prevent an accidental opening. My Brittany is right at four months old and this leash allows me positive control if he decodes to bolt.

The thickness of the rope allows me to shorten the lead with my left hand without having to worry about getting the lead being pulled through and burning my hand. Lastly, the handle on the lead is very comfortable to hold.

This is not your Walmart leash in price or quality by no means and I would definitely purchase it again.

I have two 45-ish pound dogs, a 10 year old catahoula and a 3 year old border collie. Both dogs have a tendency to pull when on a leash. I did some research and decided to try a slip lead leash to correct the pulling problem.

This leash is a great price, attractive and reflective. This leash is also made of a material that is soft in bare hands, a great length and super easy to put on and take off of a dog. I would not recommend this specific leash for a tea cup or toy sized breed or puppies, it would be too big.

I do think that this type of leash (slip lead) but in a smaller diameter would be great for a puppy. This leash did correct both of my dogs pulling problems very nicely and right away. It has made taking walks with a leash very enjoyable!.

This slip lead is stiffer and less comfortable to handle than the one we got from the trainer (which the dog chewed so we needed a new one quickly!). The slide that is supposed to keep the lead in position (so the loop does not get big enough for the dog to get out of) does not stay in place very well, so the lead will slide down the dogs neck rather than stay high behind the ears.

The material of this one is not a soft as the other, so I need a glove when training, but not when on a casual walk. Overall, a decent deal for the price, but we will likely use it as a back up as soon as I can replace the original from the trainer.

On receiving the package, I wasn’t so sure if I ordered a dog leash or an expensive makeup kit lol! It’s just that I was surprised that it came in such a high-end frosted bag, all properly packaged with a gorgeous card inside.

Its like a really soft silky material. they definitely went all out. The card has a little thank you note with the signature of the person who packaged it. You guys really know how to make your customers feel special that’s for sure! I could not be more delighted with this leash! It’s super high-quality stuff and I’m very pleased with it.

I really have to mention the impeccable stitching quality here because this love leash has proven to be amazingly durable! I’ve also noticed that the metal clasp is very rigid, it makes me feel like I got nothing to worry about.

As far as the quality of this leash goes, it really can’t be beat! It can certainly hold its own so I’ve got nothing to worry about. My little guy was waiting so eagerly to go dog-walking with me. We finally get to do it! Yay!.

I’m fairly picky about leashes. I’ve probably gone through 10+ styles and looked through countless more at local pet shops. I have dogs who are small/medium sized but occasionally pull like wild horses.

Most leashes have something “wrong” with them for my dogs – the clasps are too heavy for their size, the clasps are too dainty and likely to break under pressure, the leash is too thick/thin/delicate/ugly/imbalanced/etc.

Mendota leashes are the only ones I’ve found that feel “just right” from the thin, but strong, colorful leash length to the lightweight but strong clasp. Finding all this in two leash sizes, both a 4 and 6 foot leash length was the cincher for me (as the vast majority of 4 foot leashes are absolutely hideous).

The 4 feet length leash was our default when we lived in midtown Manhattan. We’ve since moved to suburbia so they’ve been upgraded to 6 feet, but I still have the 4 foot leash handy and highly recommend it as a back-up/secondary leash for everyone occasionally lets their dog tag along to high traffic areas.

I like the way this leash looks, but I did not expect the rope material to be so slippery. In hindsight, the rope is made completely out of synthetic material instead of cotton, jute or some sort of natural fiber.

As a result, the leash slides right through your hands when you wear gloves/mittens. When walking my dog out in the cold, I have to remove a glove from one hand, which means we cannot stay out for long! This was an unexpected and disappointing shortcoming for a nice looking leash.

If you live in a warm climate, this could be the perfect leash for you! Otherwise, I would think twice before buying.

This is an excellently crafted leash. This thickness is fine for my toy breed dog albeit on the heavier side, but it has not frayed or anything since we got it. The lanyard is nicely woven, the material near the clip and loop is well sewn.

The clip itself is high quality. It’s also the perfect length not to get all tied up with my still enthusiastic puppy. Look forward to puppy school where this length leash is a requirement. Now I see why! Glad I chose this one as it’s colors also perfectly match her harness.

We haven’t had it that long but we bought two retractables at the same time and we prefer this one even though they shipped the wrong color (it was supposed to be gray – they sent blue). The clip is good quality, it retracts well, and the brake/release button is easy to use.

Good quality, poor design. Seems sturdy enough, but the clasp isn’t big enough to hold both metal rings of my Corgi’s harness and the stop button is beyond frustrating the way it locks and won’t unlock easily or quickly.

Don’t waist your money. Bad product. Come scratched in weird package. Horrible quality. Returning.

My wife and I were loyal Flexi customers and have bought at least seven Flexi leashes over the years. We own large dogs and have always bought larger, corded leashes. We have been unable to find corded leashes in our preferred sizes recently, so our last three purchases were of leashes with tape.

I was skeptical when our first tape leash arrived, as the tape seemed very thin and fragile compared to our older leashes that have a cord with a doubled end of heavier nylon webbing. It turns out that my skepticism was justified, as twice our dog has bit at his leash when he was turning around and the tape crossed his mouth.

Each time he almost completely severed the tape. The most recent occasion took place on a leash that cost more than $35 that we had for less than a week. The other time was about a month ago on a leash we had used for a couple of weeks.

I am extremely disappointed in what was previously a quality product. Two of our corded leashes are 20 years old and still get used multiple times a day. They are starting to fray, so we decided to replace them, but it is obvious that the new Flexi leashes simply do not compare to the old ones.

I contacted Flexi with our concerns and got a rather short response implying that the problem was our fault, as we didn’t “soak the first 2 feet with Tabasco or any other anti-bite product from time to time until your dog is older and/or isn’t interested in playing with the leash any more.

” Following their guidance (which isn’t in the product instructions) would have made no difference. Our dog is not a puppy and does not chew or play with leashes; the leash simply crossed into his mouth as he was spinning and in one bite the leash was almost severed.

In the past, we had dogs that did play with the end of the leash, but it didn’t affect the old leashes, which have heavy double tape at the end. Flexi has adopted an interesting sales strategy: Reduce the quality of the product, then blame the customer when there is a problem.

We’re done with them.

We use it for our cat. Yes, we do walk our cat on a leash. Our 11 acre property is a certified wildlife refuge and if the cat runs free, he decimates the wildlife. So, he lives inside the house except for a daily walk or two on the leash.

The retractable leash allows him to run a bit and explore tussocks and other areas that might hide a mouse. Once in a while, he catches one. (Yes, still on the leash. ) He loves it. And, our wildlife flourishes, except the occasional mouse or vole.

We’ve been using the leash for about a year and recently bought a second in case the first one wears out, but so far it is holding up well. We found the 20 foot leash gives the cat more freedom than the 10 foot one we started with (which is also nice) and yet remains manageable.

We recommend the retractable leash highly if you walk your cat, something we also highly recommend to protect birds, chipmunks, etc.

Prior to purchasing a flexi leash, I had tried 3-4 other retractable leash brands and ALL of them broke in under a month. The last Flexi I bought was THREE YEARS ago and it just now needed to be replaced.

That is a really amazing life span, in my opinion. The cord itself isn’t even broken, the protective fabric around it it frayed and clogged up in the holder. It’s frayed because of my dog running around trees and such so I don’t blame the manufacturer at all.

The leash is so strong against my big dog and I can give him 16ft of freedom at any time! People complain about the handle part or there not being a poop bag holder… then buy a different leash that suits your needs… this leash is amazing! 100% worth every penny.

Bought the Ocean Marine Rope leash and Clementine Collar for Grace and the Evergreen Marine Rope leash and Peaches & Cream collar for Gabi. Both are chocolate Toy Poodles weighing about 6 В¬О© lbs. each.

Love the quality of the leashes and the collars are flawless. The leashes are a bit heavy compared to the ones they had previously, but the dogs aren’t bothered a bitвlikely because I’m holding their leashes.

There’s a nicer clasp on the leashes than I’ve found on other brands and there’s a ring on the leash handle for easy hanging. I think the leashes will hold their nice finish for a long time and I’ll just change their collars with the seasons.

The dark blue and dark green leashes will go with a lot of collars. Happy with my purchases and I’ll be back.

Beautiful color, hardware, and solid quality. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because it is heavy as heck. My little Pomeranian is pretty small, she’s 8lbs so having such a sturdy (heavy) buckle and heavy rope is not as functional for her.

For a big dog this is exquisite. Please make a smaller lighter version and matching harness for smaller dogs! Again I love it and hope a version for smaller dogs comes out soon. Truly this is a beautiful quality well made lease.

First, shout out to Rose for the lovely package the leash arrived in. I ordered leash a few days before Xmas and didn’t expect it to arrive before but it did. The leash is sturdy for my 14lb dog who sometimes wants to resist by pulling in the direction of a scent he is trying to follow.

I don’t feel as if the leash is about give. Second lovely feature is the hardware on leash and the clasp that opens effortlessly when clipping to harness. Last, I love that I am supporting a small business run by women.

Please do not change anything about your leash. The weight is not for small dogs of light weight, the hardware by far matches the quality and strength of this product.

I’ve used a “normal” leash with my year-and-a-half old Australian Shepherd ever since we first got her, and have never had issues with it. The idea of running with her has always been interesting to me, though, so I decided to buy this leash to start training her to run.

Unexpectedly, this has become both of our new favorite leash, and we use it all the time now! I love being able to let go completely without needing to worry about losing her, and she likes the greater level of freedom that the stretchiness provides.

Having the leash flex a bit helps her understand when she’s coming up on the furthest she can get from me, since there’s no longer either “no slack” or “all the slack” with nothing in between. Additionally, since she’s often tethered at home as part of training, the hands-free leash means I don’t have to be holding the leash or have it wrapped around my thigh just to know where she is.

I can’t recommend it enough!.

I confess, I am paranoid about my 14-month old Pembroke Welsh Corgi getting away from me somehow and taking off on our walks. (We’re still working on a 100% reliable recall. ) Up until today my previous cautionary method to prevent that has been to outfit her with both a regular leather collar and leash AND a rope slip-lead so that if my leash clip failed, she slipped her collar, etc.

, the slip lead would prevent her from running off. In May I learned that NOTHING is foolproof. I stepped on a rock the wrong way and without any warning, suddenly I was on the ground, blacked out for a moment and unknowingly let go of BOTH leashes.

You know how people say their dog is “attached to them at the hip”? Well, now mine truly IS!.

Okay, so I don’t usually review things, but I love this leash so much I’m actually going to do it. I have a 6 year old American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer mix who I adopted about three years ago. He is high energy, high intelligence, and insanely curious.

Any time we would walk or run, he would get a bit distracted and pull to trail a scent. This isn’t really an issue as much anymore with training, but we live in a big city and there is a LOT going on at all times.

So he gets a lot of stimulation on walks. This being said, I have bad shoulders due to military service. When I adopted Bourbon, it was actually painful to train him how to walk properly on the lead.

I got there eventually but there are still hiccups. I WISH I would have found this sooner or had someone recommend it to me. This leash really helps relieve my shoulders from the jerking of a hyper dog when running or walking and actually helps me use my center of balance to keep better control.

The bungee of the leash ensures that jerking is no longer even a thought in my head! It’s adjustable so it fits my 130lbs 5’2 frame just as well as my best friends 210lbs 6’2 frame. I can finally enjoy my high energy burning activities with my pup without pain!.
