20 Best Long Lasting Aa Batteries (2023 Updated)

There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this brand of batteries in my opinion. I have always used these batteries from the Duracell brand over the years. I’ve never experienced leakage or other problems.

Sure you can get cheaper batteries but it’s not the same quality as what Duracell provides. Reasonably priced and a quality battery. Always choose the copper top. Highly recommended a+. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐.

I honestly never used to think the brand of batteries mattered. Until I got my first digital camera. I bought a bunch of cheaper brand batteries and the darn thing would only blink or would stay on long enough to take a picture and then shut right off.

Then I sucked it up and got a more expensive pack. They worked. For about 2 days. Finally I said well I can try the Duracell for a couple bucks more or buy 7 more packs of cheap batteries that I know for a fact arent going to work.

So I got the Duracell and was actually able to enjoy my new camera !.

They used to be my go to. The best battery on earth until. their quality went down completely, I bought a huge pack, as I always fo in Costco, all the batteries were defective, stopped working within a week of change which is wayyy too bizarre and on all different things as well.

Remote control, children toys. Buyer beware, try another brand and see for yourself.

We recently got these AA batteries from Energizer. The name perfectly suits these batteries. These batteries last longer compared to other batteries I have owned and used so far. I have been a customer for Energizer brand for a long time and I already have a very good impression on their brand, products and their quality.

These batteries also reached their brand quality if not exceeded my expectations. I used these batteries in remote control car for my son. The other brands that I have used barely make it to the one hour mark.

But these batteries from Energizer lasted almost whole afternoon and we were surprised to find out that there was still lot of charge left in them even after we used them for long time. We already bought several of these and AAA ones to replace our existing batteries in all our clocks and toys.

And I already know that we are going to stick with these batteries for a long long time. Finally, we do not have any complaints and loving these so far. And yes, without any doubt, we would recommend these batteries from Energizer to our friends, family and colleagues.

Always helpful to have these Energizer MAX AA batteries on hand. I’m a huge techie, so I feel like I’m always needing to stay charged. TV remote goes out? I head to the drawer where these batteries are kept.

Flashlight out? Same drawer. Electronic toothbrush lost its buzz? You get the picture. These batteries are lifesavers when I need them and they tend to last for awhile. It normally takes me anywhere from 8-12months before I need to replace them again.

The packaging they came in is what you expect from Energizer, with the bunny and bright colors, but with a different color scheme than the regular alkaline or lithium batteries so you can easily differentiate them.

These batteries have the standard warnings to not mix old and new or different types of batteries together. I used them in one of the kids remote controlled cars that typically drains batteries at an alarming rate, and I’d say that Energizer delivered on their 50% longer claim.

Not only is it worth the slightly higher price up front, but you aren’t taking as much time replacing batteries as frequently! I’d say that is a win win! These are now my go to when purchasing batteries!.

Energizer Max AA Alkaline batteries with their iconic Energizer Bunny claims they last 50% longer than other regular alkaline batteries. As well as, last 10 yrs unpackaged and when in use they will protect devices from leakage for up to 2 years.

I tried a 2 pack of these 1. 5 volt batteries in one of my flashlights that will drain AA alkaline batteries in 1hr to 2hrs 06 minutes. I turned on the flashlight and set my timer. I depend on my Hurricane Flashlight to be bright and last a long time.

You may also be interested to know Energizer is the 1st to make AA batteries with ZERO Mercury. That makes them unique and innovative in my book. The results are in! So, how long did these batteries last compared to other brands I have tried in the same flashlight? I was flabbergasted when I looked at the timer which said 5 hours 4 minutes.

I picked these up after reading a number of reviews about the ‘best’ AA batteries for long lasting needs and use in extreme hot and cold temps. I am waiting for the current batteries to wear out in my LED headlamp and then these will be put to the test.

If the articles and reviews are accurate they should provide a good length of service and provide good power. With a 20yr shelf life, even if I don’t get to use them right away, they should be good to go.

I like that they are leak proof as I have had issues in the past when an electronic device gets left on the shelf and not used (kind of forgot it was there) as we have all done and then the batteries corrode and leak and the device is basically no good.

If you’re lucky you can clean it up, but these should never do that to you. They are not cheap and if you can get them on sale or if they have the bonus CTC money with them it’s the smart time to buy them.

Good battery to replace the rechargeable ones in my outdoor solar lights on the shed. I tried regular solar light batteries I had for other solar lights and they wouldn’t light up, re read the instructions and saw it require Lithium.

Never knew there were different batteries for solar lights. Now I know.

I’ve used these in quite a large energy intensive LED light. Thankfully they’ve lasted an extremely long time (months), which makes this economical and viable to use without the mains power lead. The main reason is the lack of an extension lead in this corner of the room, but the quality and duration of the Energizer battery length makes it worthwhile! Thanks :).

I’ve been replacing all of the “regular” batteries in things around my house with rechargeable batteries. It seems more environmentally friendly, and not as wasteful. If you’re like me, you used to use some kind of similar rechargeable battery in something like a radio-controlled car, and it was a terrible experience.

These days, you can use a rechargeable battery, and in most cases, it will last similarly as long as a conventional battery. I keep about 4 of each size charged in a battery organizer at any given time.

When a battery in a device is running low, I just replace it with a precharged battery, charge the low one, then stick it in my organizer to replace the next low one. Annoyingly, battery manufacturers tend to not publish the mAh rating of their batteries, but the mAh rating of the battery tells you how long it will last.

In a nutshell, a 2000 mAh battery will last twice as long as a 1000 mAh battery in the same device. (Also, all rechargeable batteries lose ~10% of their mAh per year, so a higher mAh rated battery will also be able to be recharged and used more times before becoming depleted, at which point you’ll have to replace it.

) Depending on who you trust, these are either 2000 mAh or 2300 mAh. Those are both pretty good ratings for a rechargeable battery, and very similar to what you will find with all of the major battery brands at this price point.

There are similar mAh ratings in some Duracell rechargeables. Personally, I don’t like the aesthetics of the Duracell rechargeable batteries because they look nearly identical to their conventional batteries.

I want all of my rechargeable batteries to look alike, and look nothing like a conventional battery. With these Energizer batteries, I’m less likely to mistake them for a conventional battery and discard them.

We really do not need a lot regular batteries for our house. However, there are some things that require battery powered assistance such as my husband son’s gaming mice. At one point, they were playing so much we were buying a pack of batteries about once every two weeks.

With the cost of food and everything else going up and up, I feel that paying a little more ONE TIME for 4 rechargeable batteries is really cost saving, because in the end you are paying more to keep replacing any regular 4 batteries.

I really do recommend the rechargeable batteries. Plus you only have to purchase the recharger station one time, and you get to reuse the rechargeable batteries over and over.

These are great batteries, with unique (patented) characteristics. Higher initial voltage than alkaline batteries: 1. 8 V vs. 1. 5 V. Extremely long shelf life. High capacity. Lighter weight. Due to the higher cost, don’t use them in devices that go through batteries quickly – rechargeables are a better choice for that.

Best use are applications where capacity, reliability and long shelf life are paramount. These batteries contain metallic Lithium. Do not break open, throw them in a fire or otherwise abuse them. Dispose of through a local recycling program.

I am so tired of batteries that explode and leak in my portable equipment. I am converting to these lithium batteries since they promise not to leak, last at least 10 years in storage and have excellent power output.

The only problems that I have seen with this technology is that equipment that tries to show the power level of the installed batteries is not calibrated for lithium cells and when the battery is used up, the power output drops almost to zero without much warning.

Otherwise, lithium batteries are wonderful.

My remote control toy was able to travel around the carpeted areas of my home after putting in a few of these AAA Powerboost Duracell batteries. For this, I must agree that they have better performance than generic.

When it comes to my digital camera, I really didn’t prefer these over my usual choice in batteries. For energy sucking electronics I’d rather spend more on Lithium ones as performance doesn’t seem to fade as quick.

Initially I thought the price was high, but in comparison to other alkaline batteries, they’re pretty much the same. My recommendation to Duracell would be to invest more in reusable batteries. The world is evolving and it’s increasingly more popular for consumers to consider our planet when purchasing almost anything nowadays.

Also, I always wanted a variety pack, that would be cool.

I replaced the original, generic batteries that came in my television remote with Duracell Power Boost batteries. The superior difference was evident from the first time I used them.  typically, I had to be in relatively close proximity to my television in order for the remote to consistently work.

 I noticed with the Duracell batteries that the remote worked perfectly from all the way across the room. So I thought I would test the distance out. I walk from the family room all the way down the hall to the farthest place where I still had a clear line to the sensor on the TV.

It still worked perfectly. I can see how much more powerful the Duracell batteries are than the ones that came with the remote. I trust the Duracell brand has produced the batteries will last for an unusually long time.

I use AAA batteries for my Fire Stick remote and I typically find myself replacing my batteries at least once a month when I use dollar store batteries. I have recently switched over to Duracell for the last few months and I have not had to change my batteries yet.

I would say this is a win win for me! If you add up the amount of money spent on dollar store batteries and the time they last, the Duracell batteries actually are cheaper in the bigger picture of things.

These batteries are very recognizable because they are still the same Duracell batteries that have been available for years. They have the copper tops and the black bottoms. They did add little rings to the copper tops and it reminds me of energy, so showing customers they have a high amount of power inside the tiny battery.

Many expensive appliances and clocks have been ruined forever because of leaking batteries. Costco’s Kirkland Signature Alkaline batteries definitely will leak very badly and very easily when the criminals shoot them with their tracking radars.

I’m not sure whether or not Energizer Alkaline batteries are more resistant to leaking problems than Costco’s alkaline batteries. I can testify with 100% certainity that Energizer Lithium batteries will not leak at all, even if the criminals shoot them with their tracking radars.

The criminals maliciously use all frequencies of radars, including L, S, C, X, Ku, K, Ka, and the new W band radar, which is also known as “millimeter wave radar,” and which is used in Toyotas and Hondas to greatly improve their driving safety.

For clocks, you may find that Energizer Lithium batteries drained after only a few months, instead of lasting several years as they should have. How did the criminals drain the Energizer lithium batteries if this happens? Most likely, they jammed up the clock to increase its drag, cutting off the flow of electricity just slightly by increasing the resistance and voltage and reducing the flow of current using their tracking radars.

We have all been in that situation where we just put batteries they were brand new into a remote or a toy or something like that and like the very next day they are not working. I promise we have all been there.

However I found that these batteries have the longest life to them. I don’t have to worry about them running out of juice! They seem to be working for so long that buying batteries isn’t usually on my mind for my son’s toys or the remote controls or anything that needs batteries.

I definitely made sure to tell his grandparents and his father to buy the lithium brand batteries because that way we won’t have to have a battery and birthdays and holidays. Makes life so much easier even if it’s the small things in life :-).

Lithium batteries are the best performing batteries available on the market, bar none. Ordinary (alkaline, etc. ) batteries leak, no matter what the manufacturer says; rechargeable batteries don’t, but both start to decay almost immediately and in any case don’t provide sufficient juice for tasks that need to power a motor, such as a milk frothing.

They are pricey compared to other kinds of batteries, but if performance is your main concern, these batteries simply can’t be beat.

I get tired of leaking alkalines corroding and ruining my devices – esp ones that are little used. Lithiums are pricier, but the last much longer and don’t corrode my stuff. Best to look for name brand ones at good prices and have a bunch on hand.

They last a long time. They don’t leak. They die suddenly but not until giving every ounce of power you need up til the end. There may be better batteries that I’ve not yet seen.

I placed brand-new batteries in an air freshener this morning and by the afternoon it was not providing enough electricity to push the air freshener canister. I am having to replace all of the batteries in our facility because none of them are working.

Stick to name brands.

I keep a box of ProCell AA batteries on the shelf. I go through alot of them because of the type of flashlights that I use. I keep a flashlight at each door, and always make sure there are fresh batteries in my flashlights.

These are the best batteries I’ve ever used, and I’ll continue to use them in the future.

My holiday window candles each require 4 AA batteries. I have a lot of windows and that’s a lot of batteries! They are lit for 6 hours a day. These work great and last about a month! Very good product.

This is by far the best battery I have had the pleasure of using while I work. I used 1 batter in a old mp3 player I’ve had for 10 years or more and left the player in the walk-in freezer. I figured for sure the bettery would be to frozen to use and I’d have to defrost and hope it still worked afterwards as with many batteries before.

When I realized after 2 hours of it sitting in the freezer it was there and pulled it out I was amazed that it played no problems. This isn’t the first time I’ve left my mp3 player in a freezer it’s just the first time it actually worked after being forgotten.

I am still using this same battery and it has been playing 8 to 9 hours a day now for 8 days straight. I am very impressed with this battery.

I have been using these batteries in a wall clock and one of my daughter’s toys recently, and they are performing very well. Using them in the wall clock is a good test of their strength and quality because this particular clock only seems to work with the newest, strongest and best batteries.

These batteries are great for the kids and their electronics. My son and his friends use these to power their game controllers. THEY PLAY A LOT OF VIDEO GAMES. And these batteries outlast their tireless fun! My husband uses these to put in flashlights around the house, in case of emergency usage.

No other brand does better batteries than Duracell’s Procell. These AAA batteries are durable, and the new power boost ingredients will last for 12 years in storage even if you run through batteries numerically.

I don’t have to go and change my batteries all the time. I use these for my bedroom clock, and it functions timely because it doesn’t die on me. Duracell is the only brand I trust and have used for years for remotes and anything that needs batteries.

I would recommend this set to everyone. They are much better than the other bargained batteries out there.

This seller is honest and provides fresh Duracell batteries. I have no complaints with him. The reason for my negative review is that I have found Duracell batteries to be unreliable as they often fail without warning long before they have exhausted their electrical capacity.

Often this occurs at very bad times and causes a lot of grief. So I do not trust Duracell batteries and recommend that you use another brand (I have had no trouble with Energizers). So why did I buy these? Because they are cheap and I have a non-critical use for them.

In summary, don’t buy Duracell if you want a reliable battery for important applications. But if you just want the cheapest battery you can find that works okay most of the time, then Duracell is acceptable.

For me Duracell seem to produce, consistently, excellent batteries. I have to say that I find the “branding” difficult. I never know which is supposed to be the top of the range. Is it plus power or ultra power or procell (or “industrial”).

I assume that ultra power are the best as they last the longest – according to the packaging. I use these in my Roland Street Cube amp for busking. It needs 6 at a time unfortunately, but these have provided the most continuous use out of all the batteries I have tried – I usually don’t push them past 9 hours because changing batteries mid-set is no fun and I wouldn’t want them to die halfway through a song.

Of all of the batteries I’ve ever bought in my life these are some of the most special. They are a lovely black and gold colour with a cute little cross design on one end. They fit really well into anything which requires a battery of this size and they make things work by providing power without plugging anything in which is really important in a battery.

I’ve tried and tested 100s of batteries over the years, having 3 children and a grandchild I always found myself changing batteries on a weekly basis, there was always something running out! Duracell was always a front runner for me, although a bit more expensive than other brands but u pay for what u get, the cheaper brands just don’t last! My son loves his birthday present which is a remote control car, but it needs AA batteries which will last. We have tried a few brands, at first they work well, but soon you notice the batteries are depleting, as the flashing lights become dim and when the car goes over thick grass the car slows down.

So far the Duracell Plus 100% AA have lasted really well. My son has used his car none stop over the last 3 days and usually this is when the batteries start to weaken, not in this case, the lights are still fully lit and the car drives through the thick grass so fast, I just have to ask my son to be careful with the plants! My son can’t believe his car is still running so fast.

Packaging of the product is great with an easy to open back so you can the amount of batteries you need for the occasion. I used two for a remote and it worked just fine. I took the other two to a flashlight and it gave it a nice brightness to it that I like to see with these type of products.

Fully charged and with the guarantee that it could last twelve years puts my mind at ease. Great value for a long while. I don’t know how much that guarantee will hold up but I guess I will find out in twelve years after storing them.

After purchasing these Duracell Power Boost batteries, I decided to put them to the test. I have a LED flashlight that I had just replaced with new batteries. I removed those and replaced with the Duracell Power Boost batteries.

Both myself and my husband agree there was a noticable difference in how bright the LED flashlight was when the Duracell Power Boost batteries were used. And even though I just installed the Power Boost batteries, I have full confidence they will last longer than the brand of batteries I was previously using in this flashlight.

I will definitely be replacing the batteries in other electronics I use with the Duracell Power Boost batteries.

I think these are great, I normally buy the regular Duracell batteries, and they are good as an overall battery, I find I’m needing to replace them in my insulin pump regularly. The manufacturer recommends Energizer batteries but I wasn’t really happy with the performance so I switched to Duracell a year after using the Energizer Batteries that Medtronic Recommended.

I put the Duracell Power Boost battery in the Insulin Pump, and it’s been 2 weeks and still going strong. I’m floored to say the least. Yes these are a little more pricey than the regular ones, however with the length of time I got off of one battery it was paid for itself, and I still have 3 batteries left.

I was a bit skeptical at first, but I’m sold!.

I installed two Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries in the “inside house” display of “indoor/outdoor temperature” monitor. Installed June/2018 and dead Sep13/2022. I had expected a much longer life than four years on this low drain device.

These Lithium batteries (4 pack) are three times the cost of Energizer Max (4 pack) Alkaline batteries. There are other batteries that have a much lower cost per usuage life.
