Best Loadout For Whisper Of The Worm (2024 Updated)

I bought two packages of the bedding two years ago and began my worm bed. The directions say to change the bedding often. The only thing I have done is add bedding. The worms will work the bedding and before you know it, you do not see what you once put into the container.

It has all been through a worm and has decreased in quantity, thus having to add more. I started out with two cups of worms from local store(about 50 worms each). I just added some new bedding a week ago for the third time, and decided after seeing just how many worms I had, start another container.

I took at least 500 large worms from the first container and put them into the second container. The first container I know still had at least 1,000 large worms, and gazillions of small worms and eggs left.

It’s not hard to raise worms. Just keep them cool, and feed them white PLAIN corn meal once a week, or when the corn meal you sprinkled in there earlier is gone. You will be able to determine the feeding cycle, BUT you will notice the feeding times to get closer together as your worm population increases.

The texture, colors, and quality of Robo are top notch!! These also give a different look than the TRDs. Give the fish something different is the difference from getting bit!! Like I said check out the colors.

I fish a pond that was an old rock quarry. Main forage is bluegill. I used the pumpkin seed bluegill color and caught 12 fat bass. Including a 4, a 5 and a 6 pounder. Fun fishing on light tackle. Getcha’ some!.

Love this bait; I have been fishing with them since their release. I’ve used all of the “Ned” style baits and this has been the best for me. Great size; great colors and a very good price. I can normally catch about 5-6 Bass per bait.

Needed to replace my rooftop antenna drive shaft since it was stripped. This is the exact replacement part needed. I also picked up a new hand crank to insure a few more years of trouble free operation.

There are many YouTube videos on how to replace the drive shaft worth watching to make the replacement easy. Note that you need to measure the old shaft and cut the new one to size for proper fit.

Worked great to replace my old one that had rounded off on the handle end. My biggest installation hint for people is to put a little dab of grease on the bearing surfaces above and below the spiral gear.

This will make a huge difference in the effort needed to crank the antenna up and down. The installation instructions included don’t mention doing this just spraying with silicone spray. I did that and assembled as directed but it was still binding so I took everything back apart and put a small dab of grease above and below the spiral gear.

Big difference! The antenna never worked this good before.

Bought 2’of these. One for winegard antenna and one for winegard crank up satellite dish,both use the same part. The main reason for replacement was to replace the o ring and washers on my dish. Figured I might as well do both at the same time.

Instructions are included and it only takes about 15 minutes. Now I know that both units are sealed and lubed and working as they should. Just make sure the old o-ring and 2 washers come out before you install new.

On satellite dish they didn’t come out with the shaft and I had to make a 90 degree pick to pull it out. Great for piece of mind.

There are many pros to this container. The issue I have is with the lid lock. The handle is connected to the lid. To open the locker only take about a quarter inch rotation. The lid turns too easily resulting in many spills.

I do a lot of pond and shore fishing. I try not to carry too much stuff with me. This bait bucket is a perfect size to attach to my soft tackle bag. I just use a carabiner and clip it on. The is almost no weight.

Keeps my worms cool for many hours. It has lasted me 3 yrs. I would have lasted longer if I didn’t step on it. I’m off to get another.

Awesome bait container!! Weighted nicely, does not blow away or break. I don’t mind this one in the house refrigerator on occasion.

First of all, let me start off with a bit of history. I have been using both green pumpkin, and morning dawn regular 4. 5″ roboworms for years. They’ve been my go-to bait for a drop shot, AND I’ve also used them for carolina rigs as well when I needed to down-size my baits.

I actually ran out last week before a trip to the lake so I ran over to my local bass pro and to my horror, they were out of regular straight tail roboworms. but they did have the FAT version, as shown here.

I had never tried this version but I figured as long as it floated and danced like a regular roboworm does, then it was going to work. so I bought 3 packs, all in morning dawn/morning dawn w/ chart since they had no green pumpkins left.

Went out to the lake, and was trying a bunch of topwater and other reaction style lures, and nothing was working. This place is highly pressured, and with pretty clear water. Not to mention it was blue-bird skies, and pretty hot.

So I took these out of my box, threw one on a VMC spin-shot hook w/ a 1/4 oz weight. and it saved the day. Ended up getting a limit of bass relatively quickly. They just work. These, and the KVD dream shots are the only things I’ll use when using a drop-shot rig.

They just work. The FAT ones may become my new favorite, but I’ll probably continue using the regular versions in both 4. 5 and 6 inch. If you haven’t tried using these with a drop shot, you’re missing out.

When nothing else is working, these will. Let the bait impart it’s own action. Shaking it too much can spook the fish away at times.

I’m newer to bass fishing and these came pretty highly recommended by others. Decided to try it out. As other reviews have mentioned, really great action on them and versatile rigging. Very impressed with the Roboworm as well as Discount Tackle.

Fish absolutely hold on longer than any other plastic worm .They love the scent . Ive broke my own personal best in all categories. Large ,small , pike, perch, pickeral. Shake it up baby .

I’ve been fishing these Power Shaky Worms for a while now. They’re a really good when the bite is tough. I don’t always fish them on a shaky head. I’ve also had success by carolina rigging and drop shotting them.

Light texas rigs work, but I’d rather just fish them on a shaky head because it’s more versatile. I wish that the color selection was better though. Berkley used to make this same worm in the Gulp series in colors like Blue Fleck, but now that it’s been discountinued the Power Shaky Worm is the only alternative and it only comes in 6 colors.

Great for largemouth and smallmouth. Yes, it’s great on a shaky jig, but 90% of the time I use it Texas-rigged on a 2/0 worm hook and a 1/16 or 1/8 oz tungsten bullet weight. I just bounce it on the bottom with jerks of rod tip every 20-30 seconds or so and then leave it set on the bottom.

Green Pumpkin and Black are the only colors I need. The 5″ model works very well, but I wish they would bring back the 7″ Shaky Worm. Only downside is it’s a bit expensive for 8 worms.

We use these almost exclusively at the lake for drop shot and works great. We catch a bunch of smallies and large mouth!

Easy to use. plenty for a small worm box. seems to dry out a little quicker then the mix yrself buzz bedding but i like its finer consistency. add garlic powder to it and u have garlic worms.

Great food for keeping bait healthy. You are what you eat and my baby night crawlers are as advertised fat and sassy!!!!!

I bought one package, well, because this was just about the only soft baits left on the shelf when I visited the store in Foxborough MA. The shelves and pegboards were pretty much empty. The next time out on the lake, I rigged one up.

That was a several weeks ago. I’ve now ordered several more packages online. I’ve caught, probably a couple of dozen bass and a few pickerel on these. Out performing all other soft-baits right now. Last Saturday, I caught one of the biggest bass I’ve caught in years on this.

I’ll be keeping this in stock permanently on my boat. (as long as they are available.

As an avid fisherman as far as worm fishing I have been fishing this worm semi exclusively for 2 1/2 years now. As most I had box full of different brands colors, etc. I found that the worm is the most productive bait on a consistency basis and lost its allure in the bass fishing market of everything flashy made to catch the fisherman not the fish.

I eventually gravitated to 2 brands BPS being one. Using 2 brands of ribbontails on the market and I find paired together with the color selections that would be all I need. the BPS brand is a little more tougher but produces just as well in certain colors.

I really like that the color pour seems more natural and not perfect as far as one color stops and another starts in some colors. Nature is not perfect. As far as favorite colors it is up to situation and the individuals confidence in the bait.

I recommend buying a few packs to start and I will be shocked if you are not adding this product to your arsenal. At first start with the natural colors and graduate up to the more pronounced color schemes.

When I first bought these I figured they wouldn’t be the star of my tackle box, but for bass fishing they sure turned out to be just that! I catch Bass after Bass on these, they never dissapoint. One simple cast will get you bites.

I typically cast, reel down a little, then simply wait. A slow reel also attracts the bass very nicely. My favorite all around color is Red Shad. It is simply the best color. The only complaint I have is how easy these worms are to break.

They split very easily, and seem to fly off the hook occasionally too. Besides durability these are very good products. They hold the bite long enough for the hook to be set. A must buy for any bass fisherman.
