The very first mission (D-Day) is one of the most intense things I have ever played as a video game. I was NOT prepared for it, which made it one of the best missions of any FPS, ever. Unfortunately, the game sort of slides downhill into the comically unrealistic “Take down the entire Nazi Army single handily” and the AI starts becoming repetitive.

Once that happens, it takes you out of the moment and reminds you it is just a game. The graphics are great, even for a game released 4 years ago, and the sounds and explosions will shake your room if you let the volume climb.

The guns are period real, but can sometimes drive you mad as you sink 15 rounds into a baddie with a sub-machine gun and they stand right back up and kill you. Then there is the reverse hilarity as your AI teammate takes a dozen rounds from a heavy machine gun and isn’t phased a bit.

If you want to watch a great parody, there is one on YouTube about this game specifically that is oh so accurate. I would suggest playing on the hardest 2 skill levels if you want a more realistic experience, though there are a couple points where I had to drop the difficulty after failing for an hour at the same spot.

All in all, it is a 3/5 which is decent for a Call of Duty game. More realism and WAY better UI (good and bad) would have added stars.

I grew up playing Call of Duty (and Medal of Honour may it rest in peace) which to show my age was always set in World War 2 in the beginning so it was great to see the title return to it’s roots. Unlike other die-hard COD players I’ve not been as disappointed (or in total controller destroying rage) with the direction of the series into more futuristic realms (remember the reaction to Infinite Warfare which at the time the was one of the most down-voted video in youtube history) but I do prefer the World War 2 setting.

The story line is pretty typical and just what you would expect of any World War 2 game (or film for that matter) produced in America. Although most of the time you can predict what is going to happen when it does it is still satisfying and well done.

You end up caring about what happens to the main characters which always demonstrates good writing, acting and voicing as they are just pixels after all. Very nicely presented pixels but pixels none the less which leads me to.

The graphics are amazing and the sound is equally outstanding and demonstrates just how good the XBOX One can be when used to it’s fullest potential. Some of the guns do seem to be a little overpowered and some of their accompanying sound effects seem a great deal different from the same guns in other COD titles but this is a minor and almost negligible thing to mention (apart from when playing Multi-player and they shoot you with ease through hard brick walls with a pistol!) The Zombie levels are probably one of the best in the series.

Really good fun with the usual blend of horror and darkly comic moments. Is it good value? Well that depends on what you paid and if you were happy to pay it. I do think games are way over-price anyway and if I can possibly wait long enough prefer to buy them second hand and at a lower price.

If you got it at a price you were happy with you’ll not find any complaint from the game.

I think when it comes to videogame campaigns, more recent entries to the genre can come up with new spins on the formula, smooth gameplay, and newer, better ideas, but for me, MW2 stands as the best.

The game drops you into a massive, multi-set piece chaos lightning-in-a-bottle conflict that sadly only lasts a few hours. The story-telling and levels are great and not to be missed, but what really puts this game above others in my eyes is the core characters.

Price, Soap, Nikolai, Ghost, Dunn, Foley- they’re all characters you learn to love and to fight for, over the course of this game and the first modern warfare, and it really pushes the narrative drive through all the explosions and crazy gunfights- I found the last level all the more frantic and emotional because it was about characters I cared for, and wanted to avenge.

It came with everything it was supposed to, and everything was of amazing quality. The game disc worked perfectly, the box was in good condition, the little journal was perfect and super interesting (one of my favorite parts of the product), and there were lots of neat little stickers included too.

The slide-on box cover was a little worn, but it still fits over the big box, and it works well if you’re just displaying the box. Overall, an almost perfect product for a really great price.

Bought this because my wife and I like to play games together. We have no interest in online multiplayer and our PS4 does not have really any worthwhile or that many offline split screen games to play.

We figured an Xbox 360 would be a good choice since it had more games we actually have an interest in and have played. Since you can play fable 2, call of duty MW3, Black ops and left 4 dead. Unfortunately while playing survival ops both times I reached rank 2 the system stopped being able to read the disc and kicked us out.

I’m not 100% sure it’s the came and I’m not 100% sure it’s the system. The disc reading seems to be a technical issue but the fact that it only happens when I reach rank 2 no matter which map or how long I have been playing seems like a game issue.

Everyone else I knew loved this game and had only good things to say about it but I couldn’t get past the beginning, I found it so boring. I wasn’t really into military games at the time. Grand Theft Auto and Morrowind were my favorite XBox games.

And Fable, Indigo Prophecy, Voodoo Vince, some horror themed games. it’s been too long since I’ve played XBox. But this game would probably be an excellent choice for someone who is into military games or a fan of the series.

People would wait on the edge of their seats when a new Call Of Duty came out and then they’d disappear into their console for weeks.

This game is an amazing thrill ride. If you have the urge to play a first-person shooter that echoes a modern day version of Saving Private Ryan, then this game is for you. The single player is great.

The controls are responsive, and the frames per second are liquid smooth. Furthermore, this game has an intense and relevant story, which, though it does not get in the way of the action, still gives you enough impetus to keep playing.

The most unique moments of the single player missions feature you as a defenseless character (e. g. an Arabian president, or a soldier who is a victim of an atomic bomb attack). In these parts you don’t shoot any guns; all you do is watch the story unfold first-hand.

It’s great as an experience, and the intensity of the rest of the missions will have you on the edge of your seat.

The whole COD series is great as you will see by my other reviews. Unfortunately it is hard for me to give COD Black Ops 4 a fantastic review as I played the newer games in the series first. Although saying that, I can definitely see how great this game would have been at the time of release and how todays games have been developed from this.

Recommended if you want to start you COD journey from the early days.

I bought this game when it first came out it for my husband on his xbox and i have been watching him play and i was so jealous that i didnt have it for myself. I wanted all the perks but didnt want to spend the extra cash.

well this was a STEAL! Season pass, cd points, all the bells and whistles, including custom made patches, pop socket and art work! This edition is better than the one i bought him, guess because i bought his as a downloadable version on his xbox so he only got the points, season pass and character content.

I am so over the moon about the amazing deal I scored! MUST BUY! But be warned that you will need to have a UK Playstation account to download the dlc content. I live in the states and I was unsure how to get my perks but it was super simple to set up another ps account with an email i already have and sign it in as another user on my playstation.

Since i have my ps4 set to primary all “users” can enjoy any content and games download to the ps4. It took a lil extra work but for the price its definitely worth it!! Thank you!!.

I’ve purchased all of the Call Of Duty games and this one is they only one I’ve enjoyed since Black Ops 3! You can customize your player in zombie mode. FINALLY!! Customizing characters and weapons will take a bit of getting used to but it’s not overly complicated.

I kinda wish they had more of the old weapons from Black Ops 3 but it’s not a big deal. One other complaint is if u play split screen the screens are so squished and u can’t stretch them out all the way to the edge of the screen, that’s makes it pretty difficult to read stuff and see things clearly.

I saw a lot of complaints about internet connection but it works great online for us so I really don’t know what ppl are talking about. Another complaint I saw was about small maps. really!? The ones I played (mainly zombies) so far are huge! So basically, don’t judge this game because of a few negative reviews, I almost passed it up because of that but I’m so glad I didn’t! Smooth game play and controls, tons of customization, bots available in zombie mode for local play, and of course great graphics.

I have never written a review of a Call of Duty episode but this one. WELL. it is totally lacking in game play in the console version,,,online play is a little better but not much. maybe I am just “burned out” on COD?.

There is and always has been way too much story line and not enough play action. This episode is even worse that ALL the others in this respect. I completed this game in only a few hours. I found it way too easy.

and I love first person shooters but there is WAY too much story line and way too little shooting in these CALL of DUTY episodes. I will not be buyng another one,.

I purchased call of duty ghosts ,as I love first person shooters. I wasn’t disappointed playing on normal level presents a nice challenge but not the “I want to throw this out of the window for wasting hours of my life” in the past I have spent hours trying to complete some levels of games.

the kids liked the dog too. great multiplayer and a nice touch is you can play against “bots” so you can have a practice before tackling the online gang. !!!!! all in all a credit to the makers.

I already own one retail copy and COD is one of the few games I’ve played from start to finish. I think the greatest aspect of the game is your game character is not the “center of the universe” in each battle scene.

If your gameplay is off there is a great chance your squad mates will still prevail. Its great to be part of the action but not necessarily the target of every shot fired by the Germans. That’s refreshing because your character is not carrying the weight of WW2 on his shoulders.

You’re just one of the many “dog faces” doing your job everyday in a man made hell. Kick Adolph’s can and get back home again. Sure COD is an old game but I bought a second copy so I could set up a lan server and play against my son who fancies himself to be some hot-shot gamer.

Console gamer, yes. PC gamer, no way. Pops is going to kick his can just like he did Adolph’s. Gimme a mouse and keyboard any day.

Le QG est une super nouveauté ainsi que les divisions que l’on peut passer prestige. Le mode zombie et pour ma part excellent, et rien a dire sur le multijoueur pour le moment et hâte que les DLC sorte.

Néanmoins je ne mets que 4 étoiles à cause des gros problèmes de connexion à la sortie du jeu et de nombreux bug qui nous exclu de la partie sans raison, mais là ça va beaucoup mieux en raison de vos maintenance réactive.

Mais le retour aux sources a la 2ème guerre mondiale et une très très bonne idée. C’est un très bon jeu avec une très bonne ambiance on a vraiment l’impression de revivre la deuxième guerre mondiale dans la campagne qui est simplement excellente avec ses cinématiques magnifique, ce jeu me fait beaucoup penser à world at war que j’avais beaucoup apprécier.

Continuer ainsi. Un grand fan de Call of Duty.

Précommandé en mai et reçu la veille de la sortie nationale. Que demander de plus ? Le jeu quant à lui est très bon. J’ai pris bien plus de plaisir que pour black ops 3. La durée de vie de la campagne est courte, la difficulté en vétéran n’est pas très bien relevée, le multijoueur a bien besoin de quelques mises à jour et patchs pour corriger les bugs et soucis du lancement.

Le jeu reste une valeur sûre tout de même, le thème de la seconde guerre mondiale, les serveurs pleins. L’édition pro comprend le steelbook mais pas le boîtier traditionnel du jeu, le jeu et les codes du season pass et autres bonus.

Ever since I was a kid I grew up playing video games and call of duty has always been one of my favorite games to play. If you’ve ever wanted to join the army, fight terrorism, and go on secret missions in other countries,Black Ops 3 might be the game for you.

Black Ops 3 takes place in the year 2065 a time where soldiers are given cybernetic enhancements to battle against robotic super soldiers. Because of this there are more controls for you to learn how to use, so if you are still not comfortable with the basics, this game might be a challenge.

While on duty you will be shooting, jumping, and sliding all across the battlefield. Black Ops 3 has 3 main game modes: campaign, multiplayer, and zombies. The campaign tells the story of you and your partner traveling across the world to carry out missions for the CIA.

multiplayer is a competitive online game mode where you fight people in different game modes including: team deathmatch, capture the flag, and domination. Multiplayer is best played when you have an online connection otherwise you are just fight bots.

Zombies is a gamemode where you fight off a zombie horde with the guns you find on the wall and mystery box. With every bullet that hits a zombie the more points you get to use to buy better guns, perks, and weapon upgrades.

The DLC in Black Ops 3 makes the players experience more enjoyable, but is not required to play. If you buy any DLC pack it will come with 5 maps: 4 for multiplayer and 1 for the zombies gamemode. Most of the multiplayer maps are nothing special, but if you are a big fan of zombies then DLC is a must.

This game is best played on PS4, Xbox one, and PC, but are available on Xbox 360 and PS3 as well. If you are playing on the PS4, Xbox one or PC the graphics for this game are, in my opinion, top-notch.

Everything from the building’s to the player models are very realistic and stunning. I would not recommend getting this game for anything that isn’t part of the new generation of consoles because the graphics on older consoles are much worse than on the newer ones.

Some features are also taken away on older consoles. Black Ops 3 is being sold new at gamestop for $60 which is standard for new games usually. If you think you can handle the control updates, and you have $60 dollars to spend I would highly recommend getting this game.

This game has given me a lot of joy from the time I have played it.

I bought these for my sons 11th birthday, having seen him enjoy watching gameplay on YouTube (I highly recommend Blitzwinger, hes got clean language and my son loves him). Both games involve some puzzle solving, not just a point and shoot platform game.

You need to investigate everywhere in order to find all the missing components. The cut scenes are well crafted in Knack I, but Knack II takes the graphics to a whole new level. They are so detailed and pull you into the story.

I was quite happy for my son to play Knack I, despite the 12 cert and dont understand quite why it was issued such a high rating. There is very little difference between I & II to explain why the first is higher.

I have a very strict ruling when it comes to certification, and if I had not seen the gameplay on YouTube, would not have bought Knack I. However, there is no bad language and the violence is no different to the sequel.

I would recommend both games for 7+ players. The main difference between the two games, other than quality of graphics, is that in Knack II you dont lose your relics when you shrink down. They follow you through the space and then rebuild you to your former height.

It cuts down on frustration levels greatly. My son is loving his games, and I am now the most popular member of the family!.

Disc looked good except one spot that was damaged and I could not finish install with it. I had to start install with that disc and finish install using disc that was also damaged from games top. Was disappointing that the disc looked so good but the one spot with a little dent in it.

Still like the store and have already purchased other items that came in great condition.

This game is a good shooter for multiple reasons. One reason is that it is pretty universal in terms of guns for the support, recon, medic, and assault. While it is not quite realistic to the time period based on the guns you use, it is not a ww1 simulator, its battlefield.

It brought new game modes such as: Operations where you can play as defense which is defending the flags against the attackers who are trying to capture them. War Pigeons is where you get a pigeon, write a note (sort of like capturing a flag) and setting it free to gain a point out of three.

And Fog of War which is Hardcore Team death match and normal team death match. The vehicles are improved, tour bullets can do damage to the planes (not much) and the dogfights seem better and more balanced.

They added motorcycles with the seat on the side like in the movies. The artillary truck which has an AA gun on top of it and a Vickers Mk1 (the normal mounted machine gun in that game) and a new thing called Behemoths.

If the enemy team is loosing in operations they will receive a behemoth on most maps you will get an Airship which is a blimp outfitted with powerful explosive round machine guns, and the pilot can drop bombs on top of it there are mounted machine guns (vickers mk1).

On other maps where there is water you will receive a Dreadnought, this is a Cruiser with heavy hitting artillary and AA guns. The last behemoth is an Armourd train. This has the same guns as the Dreadnought but with added machine guns (for infantry).

This is a fun game in all, but it is for the person who likes fast paced battlefield games, such as bf4 and bf3. So if you liked those games and hardline I would suggest getting this one.

I admit I can be a little biased towards EA’s Battlefield series as I’ve played and loved every single game under their umbrella. BUT! This installment is DICE’s way of showing the fans that they listen to them and that they don’t follow blindly to trends.

Single player is majestic! It’s very reminiscent of Call of Duty 3’s story mode. Which is not a bad thing! The cutscenes are so realistic you could forget that you’re playing a video game and instead watching a real action movie.

The scenes are just that real! I can’t say the story is particularly deep as I didn’t feel too connected to the characters but I felt a sense of empathy. Multiplayer is where the meat of this game resides, though.

It’s is eerily reminiscent of EA’s StarWars: Battlefront (2015) mechanics and handling though just vaguely. If you enjoyed the large scale warfare maps of Battlefield 4, then this has equally massive maps plus trenches! The new operations mode is a great new revisioned “rush” mode with an added bohemoth for defensive forces to divert their attention to.

The usual formula for an online battlefield game is still here, alive and kicking! For good reason too; it just works! Their new model for battle packs however isn’t as rewarding as it was in the last installment ‘4’ and mostly contains skins for vehicle and weapon customization.

Aside from this small rewards system aspect, it’s still a great game taken back in time.

Bought BF1 recently (almost 2 years after release) and put in about 100 hours to get an idea of the game. I play on the Xbox One. Here is my take on it. Pros : looks ‘pretty’. in other words high def and a ton of details Game Cons : Rubber banding, game freezes causing a hard reboot of xbox (about 1in5 games), weapons are invisible for about first minute of joining game, some weapons never show leaving you with no sights or any way to aim, game delays causing ‘shooting around corners or through obstacles’, Play Cons : teams are very uneven and when ‘balancing teams’, they just take the worst players of the winning team and put them on the losing team, I know it’s old now but there’s only one game mode people play (operations) so say goodbye to earning the ‘awards’ by playing other game modes.

extremely long wait times (4-7 minutes) to load maps and if in between games you get 1 minute added to that to check scores, Overall experience is they tried to make this game for all fps competitor game players instead of battlefield loyalist.

It is no surprise considering EA Games loves to destroy franchise games and buyout smaller companies that make great games in order to make money. In short I spent 16 dollars for the game and that’s about all it’s worth (even if it were new).

This game has more issues at 2 years than bf4 had at the 6 month mark. Battlefield had a good run, but this installment shows the run is over, time to find a new team based fps.

The Campaign was fun enough, predictable, but still interesting enough to play through a couple times. After playing through it once it was nice to have the mission select option in order to find collectables, fulfill trophy challenges, etc.

The Multiplayer on the other hand seemed broken. Camping seems to be the favored (and only regularly successful) method of playing. An FPS should cater to various play-styles, based on load outs, preference, and what have you, not force you to play the most boring way possible to succeed.

Trying to run from cover to cover is a death sentence. When a camper could be gotten to, Revenge Spawns (killing an opponent and then having them spawn somewhere just behind or next to you) allowed them to immediately end your streak.

These strange spawn patterns also made it difficult to gain anything close to resembling map control. I suppose gameplay mechanics like this are another reason camping is so highly valued. Couple that with the aim assist drawing an immediate bead on your enemy as soon as you ADS, and low damage to death ratio made for a less than fun MP experience.

Latency continues to be a big issue, possibly worse than in previous CoD titles. At times you could seemingly be firing for a good second and putting 3 or 4 shots on target, only to immediately die. In the ensuing Killcam it shows that you barely got your gun up and were killed by your target before even firing a shot.

The new customization options were alright, but the loadout/perk setup was a downgrade (not very accessible to the average player) from Black Ops 2’s “Pick 10”. The Squads game modes that involved other human players were some fun, although the human vs.

bots modes were far too easy to clear. Extinction was alright as well, but there were very few clear indications of what to do (beyond put drill here, protect drill) or how to do them, mostly trial and error.

Once you figure out all the things you can do and how to do them there was some fun to be had. In the end I traded the game in after about two weeks, and will not be fooled into buying another Call of Duty title for some time.

Modern Warfare 1, 2 and 3 are the biggest-selling and best-reviewed FPS titles in the history of gaming for a good goddamn reason you xbox and battlefield trollalicious wastes of space and time. And they are made by Infinity ward.

They have superb feel, perfect design for actual killing and action (not hiding in the corner and killing one person while feeling all that ‘suspense’ like in Battlefield snooze-fests, and yes, I own BF3 and it is craptastic), careful map design and great match-making, full lobbies et cetera.

Black Ops 1 and 2 are TREYARCH games – only PUBLISHED by Activision. A game’s feel and quality is dependent on its MAKERS and DEVELOPERS – NOT THE PUBLISHERS. Okay- Black Ops’ titles are vastly inferior to Modern Warfare iterations and only sell at 90% of MWs because 90% of the people playing are underage kids who have no taste (no offence, you are just minus your frontal lobes) and plenty of growing up to do in the discerning department.

Regardless, this will be a superb game as MW 1, 2 and 3 all were. Black Ops 2, like 1, was really a bit of a fail in comparison. Because minus Activision and copying killstreaks and what not, the games are unrelated in terms of feel and made by different people.

Feel is what dictates how good a game an FPS is online. But people who ‘like’ Battlefield and Black Ops always pretend this is the same as it is and was in Modern Warfares. This is categorically untrue.

And so it is cool to see that this is essentially MW4 and so bring it on. What cannot be debated however is that all of these games suffer from racist elite times and systems, endless trolling by players, rage fests from losers, plenty of nazi and drug flags and pictures over the profiles of all the morons you encounter online.

That you yourself will rage if hate losing, that noobs will hide instead of dying and expect to be good straight away and rage quit, that if hackers cannot ruin the game like they did with MW2 that they will be angrily wishing they could and hating on the game something merciless.

And it will, like all FPS games, leave you with that grumpy, washed out feel all these games give you after you have played online. Personally I loved these games, but I recently sold a couple. Got rid of the poohnacious Black Ops 2 finally (sold).

And I am not sure I can do it anymore. But don’t let these trollalicious morons put you off the superior fps game if you after an online fps and you like class games and can controll yourself / have fun, cos this is it.

Not Battlefield, not Far Cry 3 (even though that is better than BF). It is this. Like MW2 and 3 before it. They just play too well. End of story. Anything contrary is trolling BS.

The case and disc came in incredible condition that basically looked brand new. This game got a lot of backlash for being boots off ground, but the story was one of the best stories in a Call Of Duty game.

Being able to customize your loadout before any campaign mission and also to customize your ship is pretty awesome. Being able to do mini side missions as well in the campaign makes it even more better.

If you like playing single player first person shooters then you should definitely give this a shot.

My boyfriend got this game when it first came out. I believe this game causes unhealthy competition and conflict towards others. My boyfriend neglects responsibilities because he’s addicted to playing.

Our landlord is probably going to evict us over him screaming at the game every night at one in the morning and he’s so loud I have to sleep on the couch and the neighbors hate us because they can hear him.

I’ve decided to start breaking a game disk for every night I don’t get to sleep in the bed I’m still paying for. This game is annoying repetitive and just like every other shooter game I’ve seen PlayStation needs to go back to creating more creative video games something everyone can enjoy.

Not everyone wants to play video games that involve blowing things up. I miss the old days like spyro kingdom hearts now all you see is shooter games everywhere. It’s boring create something everyone can enjoy that’s not going to drive wives insane or promote violence and an unhealthy mindset.

I’d rather him play nothing but minecraft than touching this game. Just my opinion who know I’m not a guy I don’t know why a guy finds these games interesting.

Many reviews complained about how standard the multiplayer mode is while praised the single player campaign. I happily bought this game because I was only interested in the single player campaign but even that is not very good (at least not for me).

This installment seems to expect that you already an expert at playing call of duty (or other first person shooters) and didn’t provide much hand holding. It just throw you in the middle of the action and yelled out or put up some onscreen instructions for you to do something but most of the time, I had no idea what to do.

I couldn’t differentiate enemies from friends as they looked too similar in the heat of action. but the biggest problem for me with this game was the high level of difficulty – I played on the easiest (recruit) difficulty and ammo was very limited while enemies can absorb bullets like sponges.

I just die a lot while reloading or looking for ammo. Getting shot at and killed by some unseen enemies or blown up by grenades is also a norm. My original plan was to play this game for about 30 to 45 minutes each day while I exercise on my stationary bike but I often gave up 15 or 20 minutes in because it was so frustrating.

May be I will revisit this game when I’m better at the genre or have watched all the play through videos.
