20 Best Load Board For Truckers (2023 Updated)

We live in a high rise and use this cart almost every day. It is so well made we can put a lot of weight on it and it moves. It is very sturdy and the handle easily folds up and snaps in place for easy storing.

This saves us having to go down to the lobby to borrow a cart now that we have one of our own. This is an additional one we bought. The first one is 26 years old and works like new. We just keep this one in another place.

I loved these carts, and I replaced the one I had just like it, and the wheels are smaller this time. It makes it very loud and squirrelly. I am hoping to find bigger wheels like the ones I had, and replace them.

It holds 250 pounds and for a few more dollars I could have bought the one that holds 500 pounds. It’s higher off the ground and it’s used in our condo building. Next time, I will go with the bigger size.

I Love my Amp power steps. This is the second set I’ve owned for my vehicles and while others may cost less, the ease of installation, fit and finish is hard to beat. The only hick up I experienced installing these on my 21 GMC AT4, was that the location of the rear motorized mounts when assembled looked and worked fine when compete, however I began to hear a clunking sound when driving.

I checked the steps and they were solid, not loose. Further inspection revealed when the steps were retracted, they were hitting angle iron cab mounts that extended from the top to the bottom of the frame which was not noticeable during install since they steps were extended during mounting.

I just used a large adjustable wrench and rolled the angle iron back and problem solved. This is not an issue with the steps, just an FYI for 19-21 GM crew cab installs.

I purchased the power step running boards for my wife and I. We are both getting older now and find it more difficult to enter and exit my 2016 Ram 1500 4X4 Laramie. I removed the old running boards and with the assistance from a friend was able to install the Amp Research Power Step Running Boards in an afternoon.

My wife is able to enter and exit the truck without assistance for the first time ever. Thanks guys!! You have a great product. Will submit pictures and video if I can figure out how to do that.

I am giving this review four stars because we just completed our install yesterday and while everything seems secure and well made, we have not tested DECKED in the field yet. However, we certainly had difficulty with the install.

From our team’s perspective, the install instructions stated that we should expect to be complete within four hours. For our team of two people, the install took just under six hours of straight, hard work with limited breaks and very little none install related banter.

This suggests that we are either slower than most or the estimate of install time is off. We completed our install on a 2021 Toyota, Tacoma with 6-foot bed. Throughout the install, we found the provided instructions to be unclear.

Without getting into details/specifics, I would suggest that the DECKED team provide install kits to teams that have never installed a system before. Then, observe/film the teams and note areas for improvement to the directions and written installation instructions.

Because the written instructions and illustrations were not as comprehensive as we believe they should be, we also used several online install videos (from DECKED and others) to help provide additional context and install details.

However, not everyone will have access to this video, and we felt the written instructions could be improved. We are looking forward to using the DECKED system in the field and have high expectations for its durability and functionality.

Many of the brass inserts backed out making assembly excessively long. No extras parts in kit. Ammo containers cannot be locked, face the wrong direction, are not waterproof and don’t have hinges, why? No access to plug-in in bed of truck(Toyota Tacoma), I will have to rig something up.

I had to trim top to fit around manufacturer’s bed lights. Back side looks incomplete, needs better full faced(enclosed) end. System is also short and needs to extend to tailgate. Dividers in drawers need to be more customizable.

No dividers for narrow drawer, tool box slides back and forth. For all the things it’s lacking, but could easily be redesigned, price is pretty steep for molded polymer. Bottle opener and measuring plate are cool.

I would suggest a 2 part system where half of it, either side can be removed, as necessary to accommodate different topper designs. For me I like the full system when I don’t have an enclosed topper on, but would like to remove half, when I do, so I have room to place my feet to sit or stand.

Having said all this I think I will still get a lot of good use out of it, and I like the general idea, but I will need to customize to take full advantage of the design.

Typically when you purchase something for the price point you go into immediate regret. Well when my Decked System arrived I was a bit overwhelmed with the task of “how the heck am I going to put this together?” After watching an hour or so of “how to” videos I figured it was time to roll up my sleeves and get busy.

Believe it or not the directions were as clear as day. The instruction video was probably the best narration I’ve ever heard on an instruction video. (Props to who ever wrote the script) The entire install generally took around 3 hours or so with a few helping hands.

The YouTube videos weren’t lying, it’s basically one big lego. After installation, we just threw everything in the drawers and headed out to camp. I for one opted in on getting locks with keys. I left my camp gear, my drone, and camera in the drawer system and never felt so comfortable leaving it locked.

After camp, we decided to actually “organize” everything. The best thing is it doesn’t come with a box and some dividers to help separate things from shuffling around. Overall, my fear of regret is gone and I’m happy.

Only downside is that I installed a bed rack that wasn’t high enough to accommodate more stuff on top of the decked system. The system gives you about 5. 5 inches or so of bed space for height so just make sure you don’t make the same mistake in buying a shorter bed rack.

This was my first landboard for kiting. It is a perfect combination of lightweight and sturdy that will keep you happy for years. This board is stable and can take a beating without showing any wear.

The only replacement part I have needed is wheel bearings and tires. If you don’t ride near the ocean, your bearings will last much longer than mine. Over the years, I have bought the extra long pro version (MBS Pro 97) which is more stable for higher speeds.

HOWEVER, it weighs so much more than this board, that doing tricks is way more difficult. IF you get a light board, it may have too much flex for doing serious kiting, or downhill riding. This board is great for bombing grass hills also.

I would recommend this size for people 150lbs and more. If you are a smaller person, I would recommend a smaller board with more flex than this one. This board will not disappoint!!.

10 year old son absolutely loves this mountain board.. Easy to assemble, rides great, looks impressive.

I was anticipating a tailgate pad designed to fit my curved 2017 Dodge RAM 1500 tailgate. This does fit better than the well worn straight Raceface pad which I replaced, but is oversized and just squashes vaugely into place.

Also, the entirely smooth top doesn’t locate bikes as securely (especially on short trips when I don’t tie bikes down, or when the straps inevitably tear off) as the ribbed pattern I was accustomed to.

On a positive note, the reinforcements on the straps make threading them under the tailgate much easier (though for how long?), and the cam locks on the straps seem to hold well. The bike hold down straps work fine.

Ultimately its just a pad, and it’s going to do the job until all the straps wear out, but there’s room for improvement.

This pad fits my husband’s newer Dodge pick-up perfectly, other ones we have tried did not match the curve or accommodate the thickness of the tailgate. We like the flap that folds away to access the tailgate handle.

When we load our bikes they practically stay in place without needing to be secured. The Velcro straps are too short for one of our bikes that has a thick crossbar. I’m going to find longer ones and just slip them through the buckles.

I ordered my hubby the blue camo [can’t recall what it’s called) and was worried this colour might be tacky but it’s a subdued camouflage that doesn’t make us look classless.

Good- it does what it should. Price is better than others. I like “mural” look Bad- it slips down and covers the tailgate handle and back up camera. Fit and finish not as nice. I had a RaceFace pad ([email protected] 365days)that this one replaced.

When the sun and use had taken its toll on it, I didn’t want to pay the RF price so I tried this. The dakine is fine, but the the fit and finish isn’t on par with the RF. It’ll do the job and I won’t bother swapping it, but I wonder if I’ll go back to RF when it’s to beat up to continue service.

If you take the cover on and off, this may be a good choice. But if you leave it on, you might spend a little more.

This is a very good bed extender, easy install, but the instructions could have a little more detail. Just took my time and made double sure the hole template was correct. other than that it assembles easily – and wow it is tight, no wiggles or shaking, so easy to install and remove when needed.

Great engineering on this right down to the cardboard packing of the box.

This bed extender is surprisingly lightweight and simple to install. Recommend watching a YouTube video prior to installing just to lock into your mind how to proceed. Also recommend that after marking the hole locations for the brackets, drill the first hole and mount the bracket with a screw, align and use the bracket to guide you for drilling the remaining holes to ensure that they are drill in exactly the right spot.

Easy install. Takes about 30 min.

I purchased this and the quick-release latch kit for my 05 Toy Tundra. Shipping was no issue. I got it assembled and everything fit fine. I also purchased the spacer kit because my truck has a bedliner.

I recommend this if you have a bedliner. My only other comment is regarding the manufacturers suggested completion time. By the time I got the XTender assembled, drilled holes for the spacer kit, cutaway part of the bedline, and installed the quick-release latches.

Using this cart to take out trash. It is very small maybe 3 bags fit.

Wheels are loud. In an office building this may matter.

I bougth it for my son (8y) and he loves it. And so do I, because I use it sometimes. We are just learning but its no complicate and is no heavy to carry. He can go to school and attache it to his bagpack.

Few weeks ago, I bought another Penny for other son (6y). He likes it, but it’s a little bit more difficult to him. Now, mi oldest daugther (9y) wants one for her birthday. We are a Penny Family!.

Coming from a 34 yo who has never skated before i found this an excellent quality board – super easy to ride. Not sure why but guess it has something to do with the combination of a very flexible plastic board and the wide wheels.

An hour of practice in and I’m doing tight turns, just loving it. Great product.

Beautiful board, love the colours, rides like a dream! Only reason i got 4 out of 5 is because there was some of the colour had bleeded onto other colours and there was also one like white patch where the paint or liquid didnt seem to stick.

Im not a picky person and this board will get damaged naturally so i wasnt fussed about it. I still love it!.

This hands down is by far the best truck GPS I’ve used. There’s so many great features on it. First of all it has a great suction cup great quality and very sturdy. It’s been on my truck windshield and it hasn’t moved even after all those crazy bumps I go through on the road.

This will show you construction zones, congested areas. If you run this and compare it with Google maps you’ll be able to save yourself sometime by avoiding nasty traffic by rerouting. This has saved me delays numerous times.

I really like how you can connect this GPS to your hotspot and it will get automatic updates. And to top it off when you link your phone to Garmin drive app to run with this GPS it will provide information on your GPS screen like text messages or calls.

I don’t know what other GPS can do this but this is a great feature this will actually read your messages and show them on the side of the GPS display. Don’t think about it just get it!.

The image is crystal clear. When connected to phone it updates traffic and maps automatically( may require software update for this feature) I have 3 truck profiles loaded on it along with the Car option.

Accounts for all types of loads and hazards. Intuitive. The windshield mount is very sturdy and allows for quick easy removal of GPS while leaving the mount on the windshield so you don’t get 500 circles on the windshield.

Just took a 2000 mile trip with no issues There was a detour that put me on a restricted road. and it let me know. boy did it let me know. big flashing red warning.

The Garmin 1010 is a great GPS unit. They did a good job on the production. The display is large and bright so you can read it easily, even in the sunshine. (It has excellent resolution. ) The voice recognition is a big improvement on the previous models.

Reception of the weather and traffic through the cell data plan is excellent, but I chose not to use my cell phone so I ordered an HD traffic mount for $139 and receive the traffic that way instead. We are enjoying unit.

I wish Garmin would offer the traffic receiver incorporated into the unit so we wouldn’t have to buy a separate mount for traffic.

Great way to turn your step-deck into a trailer that can handle 40′ plus lengths! Light enough to move with one person, adjustable to fit all trailer stake pockets, and sturdy with the chain tie-down secured.

Was skeptical at first but works well and really made a big difference in hauling capabilities.

This is a great board for beginners. But I think that experienced riders will have some issues with this complete longboard. Wheels, bearings, bushings, and trucks get the job done but you will likely want to upgrade these to improve the ride.

Carving is a bit stiff and the trucks don’t turn as sharp as they should. This makes for wide turns and hard to corner around tight areas. That said this board is meant for cruising. It can do some downhill and the kicktail allows for some trick versatility.

I have done a few tricks on this board and it seems very durable. Griptape is a bit low budget, it definitely scrapes up from every little thing but not a big deal. If you’re just looking for a casual ride I would definitely recommend this, and if you’re not looking to do tricks I would even recommend the pintail since it’s a bit more casual and looks cooler.

If you want to start learning tricks and get acquainted with longboarding this is a good option. One thing to keep in mind, if you find yourself really liking longboarding you will probably end up replacing the trucks and wheels, or even getting a higher quality complete altogether from a more expensive brand.

This board works perfectly as a street sled pulled by my 4 dogs. The construction, parts and materials are top notch. The board is heavy, but that is exactly what I wanted, a stable platform. It also can respond when the dogs get a sudden urge to go off on an unscheduled excursion and cause me to have to make a quick turn, but super quick response is not a selling point.

I still get tipped off a lot if the dogs break ranks and I don’t react quickly enough. I do not think they make a board that can respond adequately in all cases. This one has decent response time. The essence of skateboarding is freedom from all the rules that folks are always heaping on us.

I don’t like rules, especially ones that seem to be unnecessary. I have had to learn the hard hard way that wearing a helmet is not one of these. Go ahead & include the cost of helmet in the purchase.

And wear it. Even if you complain about it like I do.

I bought this as a replacement for a nearly identical longboard that I purchased a few years ago for ~$200. I was a little worried about stepping down in price but this board has definitely exceeded my expectations.

My kids and I have been riding it a lot the past few days and we all think it’s better than the other board that cost more than twice as much. The board tension is great, grip tape is solid, and I love how it turns like butta’.

The only thing that would make this board better is better bearings. It comes with decent bearings, they’re not bad, but not great either. which is perfectly reasonable at this price point.

Pretty much what I expected. Seems to be made well but not very pretty (rough edges, sharp corners, scratches, etc. ). The product specifications could use some work. Height is 37inches tall if you measure it to the top of the plastic brackets but height of cross bar is only 30inches.

Width between bottom brackets will reach 76inches if you move them to the outermost setting but cross bars are only 66inches in length.

It would have been nice if there was information available regarding compatibility with various makes/models. This doesn’t mount on a Toyota with their built in rail system. Other than that, seemed like a solid rack.
