20 Best Litter For Not Tracking (2023 Updated)

I’ve been trying to find an unscented, low/no dust litter that does not stick to the sides of the 3 plastic litter boxes in my house. I have tried every well known brand and one lesser known, but highly rated brand.

In each case, I would get great results for only 2 of the 3 issues I wanted to address. I had been reading great reviews for this litter, but none mentioned anything about it not sticking to the litter box.

In the past few days I’ve been mixing my first bucket of this litter with my existing brand and the results have been amazing! No dust, no artificial scent and no sticking to the boxes! And this is only as a mix with my existing litter, not even using it completely on it’s own! I’m so glad I decided to try this litter.

Not only does it give me the results I had hoped for, it is also reasonably priced and always in stock at the grocery store where I do my regular shopping.

One of the best litters I have ever used. Great for enclosed litter boxes. Should be used with a tracking mat to catch the small litter particles upon exit and if your cat is aggressive you may want to have a high walled box.

Its so soft that they love making sure everything is covered. Almost No smell at all, even right after making a deposit. (Note – Don’t expect great results if your cat doesn’t know how to cover his stuff well or you don’t regularly clean the litter box) The flushable version is excellent also.

Very easy to use. 4 stars only because the small particles will track if you don’t have a good mat.

He’s instinctual and seems like the alpha male type. He’s friendly but very expressive with his feelings, emotions, and aggressions so it was fairly simple to understand his opinions about his new litter, which I think we’re indifferent.

He seemed just okay with it. After this experience with our first unscented litter, I think we both agree that we prefer scented litter, and strongly scented at that! We both really like The World’s Best Cat Litter brand and the litter quality is exceptional.

It clumps really really well and very quickly. I noticed a firm hold just 1 to 2 minutes after urination. Oppositely, Even the smaller chunks that did manage to escape, which weren’t many, were not terribly small and tidious, and still large enough where scooping was possible.

Since the litter was unscented, I could smell some odor but very mildly and this was sort of shocking because I would have thought odor would be constant and strong with unscented litter, so WBCL has some insanely awesome odor blockers regardless if scented or not.

Lastly, dust clouds were completely non-existent and post use trackage was at an all time low, thankfully so because my kitty boy typically produces litter crazed surroundings!.

I started fostering cats this year and have 6 kitties in my home. They do what kitties do and it’s a lot to clean up daily, so I am always looking for products that will help keep things more tidy. My preferred litter is the GREEN unscented type of World’s Best and this new orange litter was offered as a gwp of Orijen 12-lb food.

(Thank you!) At first the most noticeable difference is that the orange litter grains are 2-3x as large. I suppose their logic is that larger grains are heavier and less likely to get stuck on paws, but as anyone who’s stepped on a Lego knows, that’s not true, it just hurts more.

The litter in my post-surgery kitty’s crate has spread both in the 1-inch space between boxes and surrounding 1-ft radius outside the crate. For an animal that does not leave the crate, who is remarkably slow and deliberate when moving/digging, this spread is disappointingly unexpected.

Litter scent has a citrusy tinge after cats have peed, seemingly exacerbating pee odor, however more successful at masking poo odor. I agree with others that the clumping should be better. There is also a lot of pee-odor dust left in the box after scooping, a common flaw I’ve encountered in large-grain litters.

Reliably zero dust in the air as I pour new litter from the bag into the box, the reason I love World’s Best. When I click to Add Photo, it doesn’t show that pics are posted, so maybe I’ll try again later.

Overall I will not buy this orange litter, but I’d still use this instead of clay-based litter.

I am *always* on the hunt for a better cat litter, I mean ALWAYS. In the 16 years I have had my wonderful feline companion, I have shuffled between a dozen different brands, and lines within these brands, and can say with full confidence that I have yet to find one that truly made both me and my cat happy.

Now that my cat has entered his elderly years, he’s more likely to use the litter box without covering his waste and so it’s really important to have a brand that he’s not holding a grudge against. This littler, despite making some promising appeals on the packaging, is not that brand.

As I mentioned before, my cat is on the older side and he does not like pushing around things unless they contain catnip. This litter comes in larger chunks and weights considerably more than the lightweight options we generally go with.

The ‘quick clumping’ claim doesn’t work so well when the waste just sits on top of it. It was also harder to clean out since the chunks of unused litter didn’t quite filter through my current litter box shovel, which isn’t a problem for smaller grained solutions.

With no scent, there also wasn’t much odor control so now that I’m back in the office, I come home to a less appealing apartment at the end of the day. The one thing this litter has going for it is that because it’s too heavy for my cat’s liking, it stays put in the little box and therefore produces very little dust.

Otherwise, I can’t say that I cared much for it (which is a shame since there was a $5 off coupon attached to the bag) and will be sticking with a more fragrant, lightweight option in the future.

It was getting too expensive. With these crystals, I’m not even half-way through the bag after almost a month. We have 5 cats and 4 litter boxes, the scoopfree being in my bedroom. 33 “scoops” after about 3 weeks and only pee.

Literally does not even smell yet and the crystals still have probably a week left of life in them. So, if the other half of the bag lasts 4 weeks too, you’re looking at 8 weeks per bag in my situation.

Based on my totally correct math skills I would say one bag of these crystals will last 80 “pees” in an auto litterbox. I gave 4 stars because when I used the crystals in a regular litterbox, they didn’t last as long as I would have hoped and got stuck to the bottom and were hard to clean off.

It was hard to tell when the box needed to be dumped, and by the time I could tell, it was a horrible mess with the entire bottom still liquid pee and smelling so strong I cried. Having 5 cats is a lot of work, so having at least one auto litterbox in a popular cat spot if they need is a lifesaver.

We also have 2 “pellet” boxes with pee pads, and a clay box (which is their favorite). I prefer to limit to 1 clay box because they are so demanding to maintain.

IšverstiShow in original languageI am not new to this product. I’ve used it years ago and it worked. I recently noticed its ineffectiveness with one cat use. Please keep in mind that I clean and stir constantly each time my cat uses the litter box.

To no avail, it no longer has the potency it once had years ago, even months ago. I noticed a problem, but didn’t pinpoint it until recently and careful monitoring. I changed the litter on June 3, 2022, and by June 13, 2022, it was already no good and ready to be discarded (with one cat’s use).

That is a total of 10 days, what happened to the other 20 days in which it is guaranteed? My cat urinated outside of the litter box on the floor 2x because I had not figured out what was going on. I smelled inside of the box and it smelled like ammonia.

Remember, I constantly stir so, that isn’t the problem. I even purchased the new product of the Litter Box Deodorizing Crystals which didn’t help. Please keep in mind before this was made the litter worked just fine for 30 days months and years ago.

I guess they aren’t making it like it used to anymore, then they should stop advertising 30 Day guarantee. They had to be aware because why are they making the Litter Box Deodorizing Crystals now, which also does not help.

I would like a refund. I purchased 3 bags and have at least 1 1/2 left.

IšverstiShow in original languageI am absolutely shocked to learn that there are a group of cat owners who had no idea how to use these crystals properly. Read the directions, people! They are meant to be sprinkled in the litter box with regular cat litter.

These crystals are not meant to be used as the actual cat litter. I used them with a friend asked me to care for her cat in my home for a period of one month. She brought some of these crystals with her.

I absolutely loved them. I was very disappointed when I could not find them in the brick and mortar stores, but now I know where to get them. These crystals are incredible, and they do work if you use them correctly.

I have lived with cats for 58 of my almost 70 years of life, and I have cleaned many litter boxes. My feeling is that I hate the clumping litter. I like the cheap, generic litter. I scoop the boxes of feces and remove the wet, urine-soaked litter on a daily basis.

This way, I keep the smell under control very nicely. The crystals were so nice to use to add an infusion of light floral scent to my home. I will definitely be buying some very soon. This stuff works and works wonderfully.

My cat and I both love this litter. I have been using it for years and I still have people come to my house so confused as to why the litter box is in my bedroom. because it NEVER smells. I fully change it about every 2 weeks, while keeping it very clean in between daily.

It does track a bit but nothing that a good litter mat won’t stop and just regular sweeping or vacuuming. I’m obsessed with this litter I will never buy another brand. I have tried the tidy cat brand but I have found the vibrant life lasts longer and actually absorbs more.

I’ve even tried the Pretty Litter brand, which was my least favorite because it doesn’t accurately tell pH levels and it tracks like crazy on top of being very expensive. My kitty has UTIs often and with the crystal litter I can spot it instantly because of the clear crystals.

This litter has a horrible dust that gets into your lungs and nose causing irritation and dryness – because it absorbs moisture, it absorbs the moisture in your throat and nose when you breathe in the dust.

At first I thought it was just something I noticed when I opened the bag and poured it into the litter box. Then, my cat went into the box to use it for the first time and after scratching around to cover up their waste, they came out of the box coughing and wheezing which they had never done before.

The coughing and wheezing continued for about 3 minutes while I tried to get them to drink some water. I immediately ran to the store to get different litter and we haven’t had an issue since. I shouldn’t have tried to save a few bucks by buying a cheaper version of the Fresh Step crystals litter – lesson learned! Please watch your cats and make sure they don’t have the same reaction!.

I have a large male cat and he uses two large litter boxes. I bought this litter because of its weight and thought it controls smells better than the clay litter. My cat had no problem using this litter.

Pros 1. the litter is light weight. I can lift the bag with no problem. 2. the fur around his rear end used to get wet with clay litter after he peed but that didn’t happen with this litter. Cons 1. this litter didn’t control the smells very much.

After two weeks of using it, the litter boxes started smell really bad. 2. When I pour new litter into litter boxes, I saw a lot of dust flying up. I had to spray some water to calm it down. I’m still in search of a litter that controls odor and doesn’t need heavy lifting.

Dr. Elsey’s unscented clumping cat litter is a very good product. It clumps well, has little dust, and is a great dollar value. The thing I like best is how well this unscented litter keeps the odors from litter box use in check does it so much better than any scented or other unscented cat litter I’ve ever used.

I’ve had cats for over 50 years and every brand of scented cat litter I’ve ever tried was so nauseatingly scented and disgustingly strong it could make you sick. And scented litter does nothing to control odor, all it does is add a disgusting scent to the cats urine and feces scent resulting in a putrid smell.

With Dr. Elsey’s unscented litter there’s virtually no smell at all. No dust and no perfume smell is definitely healthier for my cats. The one and only thing I don’t like is the packaging. It comes so tightly packed in a thin, but strong plastic bag that is very difficult to handle.

The moment you cut an opening, even a small opening, into the bag to get some cat litter out it’s a physical struggle to keep the bag from flopping over spilling the litter all over you and the floor.

It just wants to tip over no matter how you hold it. I’ve been transferring it to a hard plastic container for daily use but that transfer always results in litter being spilled and a sore back from fighting for a good ten minutes to keep it all from spilling onto me and my floor instead of into a container I can actually manage.

If they could package the litter better, me and my sore back would truly appreciate it. The fact that even though I know I’m going to have a struggle and a sore back for a few days each time I buy another bag, but still buy it should tell you just how good the product inside those awful plastic bags is.

I recently bought this after looking at many reviews in search of a more inexpensive litter that offers larger sizes after I recently adopted another cat – making that two cats total in my small apartment.

My favorite thing is the low tracking – I mean it’s incredible how low it tracks after my cats get off the mat outside their litter box. It’s clumps pretty well – there is always one or two clumps that slightly stick but they come off incredibly easy with barely any effort at all, so another great perk.

The biggest issues I have is the odor control. When one of my cats use their litter box – the scent of their scat is intense and rife through the apartment. They both bury their feces as deep as they can right away so it’s not like it’s just sitting there.

But after burying – it reeks so bad it’s like the litter intensified the smell and it LASTS – the litter almost acts as one of those wall plugs – making sure the scent lasts longer and really gives a large scent throw like an incredibly good quality candle but a candle that smells somehow worse than usual cat fecal matter.

It’s horrible. After an hour or two the scent finally stops and for the first three days when the scent is no longer intensified it’s pretty decent. But by the fourth day, after freshly scooping the litter – there is a certain scent to it that lingers.

The litter box smells awful constantly and the scent sneaks it’s way into corners of my apartment, leading me to change the entire litter box more often than I’ve ever had to with any other brand. Scooping simply does not suffice for long at all, leaving me to ordering more litter more often.

I don’t know how to describe this odor. It’s just awful. And is everywhere, even after changing the litter it lingers for a day. It’s horrific. So now I’m in search of a new unscented litter for my two cats.

So this is the first litter I have used as I have just recently adopted a cat. I purchased this brand after reading several reviews and suggestions, the general consensus seemed to be that clay litter was the best overall so I decided to give that a try seeing as it’s the “standard” for cat litter.

Dr. Elsey’s seemed to be a highly recommended brand and based on the “99. 9% dust free claim” I purchased without much hesitation. Overall this is a good litter as far as clumping/tracking is concerned.

I wanted a litter that was unscented and I understand that animal waste is not going to smell like roses, generally there is no lingering smell unless the litter box has been used within the last 10-15 minutes and I have mine in the mud room so I am not in range of the smell anyway.

If you want something that is going to trap the smell immediately I don’t think this will work well for you. However, I am disappointed in the amount of dust this litter creates. It kicks up quite a bit when I clean it and I imagine it does when my cat uses it as well.

My cat’s foster was using corn litter and since we adopted him (and he started using the clay litter) he seems to be sneezing a lot. His health is very important to me so I am obviously concerned. I’m not sure if there is a direct correlation but I think I will be switching to a different type of litter and seeing if the situation improves.

I would give it 3. 5 stars.

This is the second brand of pine litter I’ve tried and I’m so glad I switched over from clay-based litter. Even with a decent litter mat and boxes with high edges I was getting frustrated with all the bits of clay still around the house and the amount of clay dust that accumulated was irritating my allergies.

I also seemed to be going through the clay litter faster than the pine-based stuff as well. When the pine pellets get wet, they swell up a bit and then turn into sawdust. It’s a little more time-consuming to scoop out the dust while trying to save the pellets, but there’s little to no urine odors and much less gets tracked outside the boxes.

About once a month I do a “deep clean” of the litter boxes where I dump the good pellets into a clean container, empty the litter box and clean it out of any excess sawdust and then put the good pellets back in the litterbox and replace with more pellets as needed.

This may be easier with a sifting litter box but I didn’t want to get rid of the boxes I aleady had. I have 2 kittens and their mom who are all using the pine litter now with no issues. The kittens were already using the pine stuff but I had to slowly transition their mom over from clay to pine and she eventually got used to it.

I like how the back of the bag has tips/instructions on how to switch to pine litter. Overall, pretty happy with this brand and will continue to stick with it.

There is a learning curve with this cat litter, but follow my advice & you’ll be better off for it. #1: make sure you have 2 litter boxes per cat in your home. #2: get a sifting pan, it’ll make changing litter a breeze.

#3: when using a litter scoop, be advised that when wet, the litter turns to dust and DOES NOT clump (unless it’s a soft stool). In order to combat this, I clean 2 litter boxes at once. I designate a pellet box, and a dust box.

I scoop from pellet box, sift over dust box, until one whole litter box is dust & poops, and the other is all old pellets. I then like to use a dust pan like a shovel & move the dust into a plastic bag (double bag it OR re-use empty pine litter bag.

I even use empty dry food bags if they can be zipped closed). Ta-da! Now the worst is over. Dust & poop taken care of, I split the old pellets between the 2 litter boxes and line the bottom with it. Top it off with 2″ of new pellets fresh out the bag & you’ll be good to go! #4: change the litter weekly & your house will smell fine.

Tip: Chewy sells a faux-planter style litter box. It’s big, pretty, and covered so tracking is minimal & smells tend to stay contained. They also hold a lot of litter. If you can afford 2 of them, they’re your best bet.

This litter doesn’t leave a plume of dust or make my cats paws dusty. It doesn’t stick between their paws or stink. Their urine breaks down the pellets and their poop sits on top to easily scoop or grab up with a bag or gloved hand.

I only smell the pellets even with poop sitting on top. Trick is you HAVE to clean every day but it’s so fast! This litter is better with a sifting type of litter box. The litter box is at the bottom and the sifting tray on top and the pellet litter in side the sifting tray.

To clean all you do is scoop out the poo (I have a litter genie just for poop) then you shake the sifting tray to shake out the broken down pellets into the box below then you can dump to shavings into the trash.

It’s so easy it takes me 10 minutes to clean 3 boxes. Each time I clean I wipe the box with some disinfectant and make sure it’s dry and put the sifting tray with the pellets inside back on top of the box.

It’s truly the best litter! The largest bag lasts me about 4-6 months. My cats took to it quickly which is a surprise because one of them is very picky. MUST BUY!.

Some people do not realize that the brand of litter is important but a good-quality, high-performance litter really does make a difference. I have used many different brands and types of litter so I was very, very happy to find the Arm and Hammer Multicat.

The hint of negative about this product is the heavy weight of it but I suppose it needs to be substantial to work so well. This product will cause debris to clump firmly, allowing me to easily scoop up and toss without residue.

The remainder of the litter stays so astoundingly clean and fresh that I can continue to use it for a very long time without changing out the whole pan. Yes, this is a big deal because my cats just give up on covering up if the litter will not stay fresh.

Some other litters maintain strong odors and leave stinky particles behind so my cats will just leave the box immediately and shake their paws as if they are saying ‘there’s no way I’m touch that dirty stuff.

‘ The rooms where we keep litter boxes stay fresh-smellin. We don’t need to sift and shake like Atlas if we use a good quality scoop of substantial weight. Those thin dollar-store scoops will just wear out my wrist, elbow, and shoulder.

So anyone who has trouble cleaning out a litter pan with this litter may want to upgrade the scoop. I confidently recommend this litter to both single and multicat households. I will not use any other type or brand as I could not be happier with the value and performance.

I’ve tried several different litterboxes and litters over the years and always had horrible smell issues. This may seem like common sense, but I used to keep my litterbox in a large closet to keep it out if the way, but my boyfriend pointed out that that only makes the smell worse because it’s not in a ventilated area.

I also had a litterbox that was a globe shape, and tried tons of different litters, none of which seemed good. I switched the location of the litterbox in my house to an open area, and switched to this arm and hammer litter, and got a top entry litterbox that has extra ventilation holes on the lid, and it has made a world of difference.

It seems like this litter has gotten a bit more dusty this year, though. 100% dust free and track free litter is a total myth, but this litter is a lot better than others. I wish others in the comment section who claim to have found a better litter would state the specific litter name and brand.

Overall this is the best litter I’ve had so far, but it’s not perfect, as every other litter. I’d still love to find something better, but that’s starting to feel hopeless.

I bought six forty-pound boxes of Arm and Hammer Super Scoop, which proved to be a huge and expensive mistake. I feel horrible for forcing my kitties to put even a single paw into this smelly, dusty litter.

Each time I change the litter, I thoroughly wash the boxes with a mild dish soap and super hot water (you probably already know that this disinfects, without harmful chemicals and odors that irritate a cats sensitive nose).

So, I was unpleasantly surprised when I awoke to a litter-room that wreaked–and their litter room never smells. This litter had a strange pungent odor that permeated the large room. I immediately went back to the litter I’ve used for the last fifteen years–even though its become, like everything else in this pathetic economic climate, ridiculously expensive.

There is a lot to said for staying with what you know and trust. Arm and Hammer litter cannot be healthy for feline or human respiratory systems. For the love of your feline friends, I recommend avoiding this litter.

I received this as gift from my mom and that is the only reason I kept it. It’s not worth the money and is extremely messy and hard to fill with litter. I do not use the brand of litter that goes with the robot; I’ve continued to use the brand I’ve always used because I wanted a smooth transition for my cats which did not happen no matter which techniques I tried to get them all acclimated to the new box.

I guess because my litter comes in a box and not a bag that’s the problem with filing up the interior compartment. The litter piles up in a mound when it dumps in to the tray below and if you’re not careful when you pull the tray out to remove the liner, you’ll have litter falling all over the place making a huge mess.

I have four cats and only one that I know of uses it; the others continue to use the traditional litter box. I ended up moving the robot totally out of the room it was in because even with it in there, the other cats would ignore the normal litter box and mess on the floor.

I’ve tried numerous times to get the app set up and keep getting an error message when I scan the barcode that the serial number is invalid. Even before I pulled the traditional litter box back out, this robot did not really keep the odor down either.

I am extremely frustrated with this product and am more than likely going to put it out for the trash before long. I’d recommend to anyone who is considering buying it to save your money and keep using a traditional litter box because you are not gaining anything other than not having to physically sift the litter.

Buy yourself a good old fashioned plastic litter box that has a sifting tray between two pans and has a hood for privacy for your cats and to help eliminate odors.

Reading the reviews, it seems everyone’s experience is different. That said, I’ve had my Litter Robot for over a year, but it took me until four months ago to finally try their Premium Cat Litter. TL;DR = Tracking control is great.

Odor control and high price cost it two stars. Full review below! We went through about 4 different brands, but had issues with everything. Kitties would track it all over the house (and into bed), dust would confuse the LR sensors, the weight of various brands would anger the rotation of the cleaning cycle.

Finally one day I just broke down and bought one bag. Immediately, I noticed a 90% reduction in tracking litter. No joke, I used to have to vacuum in front of the robot every other day from clumps they’d drag out.

Now I can go a week or longer without even thinking about it. Even walking barefoot around the LR is doable now, thanks to this litter. Where it fails us a bit is odor control having 3 cats. Our first two bags were great, but we had them mixed a little with a previous brand containing charcoal — but the odor wasn’t bad unless the bin was full.

Now that we’ve fully switched to the LR Premium litter, we find that it can get pretty stinky, pretty fast. It only takes a day or two for it to make going in the room unbearable (our cats average 7.

5 cycles a day according to the app). We also keep two regular boxes off to the side to mitigate territory wars and fighting, so perhaps the LR litter isn’t designed for traditional boxes when it comes to controlling the smell.

(We barely have room for one LR, so a second one is out of the question. ) Despite the price, we’re sticking with it (for now). $50 + shipping each month for two bags is steep compared to our old options, but the minimal tracking has been the main love for us.

I also find the bag to be awkward to pour while trying to measure and not make a mess. I love the minimal packaging, but feel there’s a better way to get it from the bag to the bin. If you’ve never tried it, I do recommend you try it.

For 1-2 cats, it probably holds up pretty well.

I love the litter robot. But it’s not without a flaws. I seem to have to reset it More often than I thought I would for an almost $800 purchase. I bought one for my mother-in-law and I’m not sure if she would continually turn the machine off and On to get it to work.

But this is a review about the litter. The litter robot litter works good but others work better. But none were excellent. Litters seem to stick to the bottom and or the side. No matter white cat litter I use.

I’m experimenting with some different sprays to keep the litter from sticking to the side in the bottom. Most litters say we need at least 2 inches of depth beforenthe litter can work probably but my cats seem to Pee on the side of the bowl and not the center.

I use your brush at least once a day to get the sticky waist off the sides. If there was a spray or a product that can Be used, let me know I will buy it. right now arm and hammer slide seems to be the best litter for the Litter robot for me but it’s not perfect.

I tried this litter after a friend recommended it; I had been using Precious Cat litter for ten years and was getting very frustrated at how dusty and inefficient at odor control it had become. I have an asthmatic cat, and the little clouds of dust I would get while dumping litter in the box or scooping were bad news for him! I have to say I was really surprised that Free and Clean worked so well, because in my mind grocery store litter is associated with that awful ammonia smell, the old lady with too many cats smell.

It was actually quite the opposite: It is extremely low dust, nothing while pouring it in, nothing while scooping. The only time I start seeing dust is several weeks in, when it’s time to empty the box completely and wash it.

I have two large litter boxes and several cats in a two bedroom apartment and there is now ZERO smell from the boxes, even right after the cats go number 2. You would never guess cats lived here. Until you see the litter all over the floor, that is.

Yes, that’s the trade-off: the litter is super low dust, scoops very easily (no more chiseling off concrete blocks of pee stuck to the box, yay), has superb odor control BUT it tracks EVERYWHERE. And when I say everywhere, I mean all over every piece of furniture, all over the floor two rooms over, all over your bed, etc.

It also sticks very easily to fluffy longhaired cat butts. For me, the lack of smell and the absence of dust more than compensate for the constant sweeping I have to do, but if that drives you nuts that may not be the right product for you.

It’s also pretty pricey, and the packaging is so much plastic, I am not fond of it. But in the end until I find better, I am sold on this one!.

Tidy Cats brand litter has always been my ‘go to’ litter. Sadly, my confidence in the brand has been greatly compromised by the last box of Tidy Cats Instant Action I purchased. I am now in search of a brand that delivers what is stated on the packaging and in the marketing.

My first complaint is that clearly, the formulation for this product changed and consumers were not notified. I’ve been using this formulation and others without significant issues for many, many years.

This latest box, however, stunned me. My second complaint is that this litter literally tracked EVERYWHERE in my house – three floors – and everything in my house has a layer of litter dust and kitty paw prints on it.

I keep litter boxes in the basement, as far away from the living spaces as possible and always have. I was absolutely astounded at how far the litter and dust traveled. Of greatest concern was the dust.

I was cleaning the litter box one day and noticed that my chest began to burn. Only after I finished cleaning the litter box and moved onto other things around the house did I realized that the burning had subsided.

I attributed the burning to the dust and have worn a mask since then when cleaning or filling the boxes I have no idea how this product / change in formulation made it to market. I will be cleaning up dust and litter for weeks to come, even though I’ve replaced the litter with another product.

It is no longer a good product. It used to be a great product, clumping very quickly and forming a very tight clump (regarding urine). Starting several months ago (June 2022 or earlier), something changed – it no longer clumps as tightly nor as quickly.

When you try to scoop up the urine, the clump breaks apart leaving small pieces – including pieces that pass through the scooper. Also, because it doesn’t clump as quickly, the urine can make its way to the bottom of the litter pan where it forms a sticky clump that is cumbersome to scrape out and remove.

Reviews of this product on the websites of the major “big box stores” are full of these same comments. While many people rate the product highly – many people are also complaining that the litter doesn’t clump as well or as quickly – exactly what we’ve experienced.

We placed a call to Purina’s customer service department and provided all the information they requested. The response was that “there has been no change to the product or its ingredients”. That being said, we stand by our statement and observations – “something” changed – and not for the better.

Considering the high price of this product, it is a big disappointment – and has forced us to try and find a better product. Too bad – this was a “10”, now it’s a “2”.

All of my cats are a bit awkward haha and each one usually dislikes certain other ones. It’s great because it doesn’t clump so if any of your cats/dogs eat any, it won’t clump and absorb inside them! It also definitely does absorb, I’m guessing the bad reviews must’ve emptied the tray just after it was used.

It goes straight to the bottom and it takes a minute to absorb. It works really well with litter liners. It’s the only one that actually stops smells, as long as you keep it clean by removing all waste.

I sometimes push the top few inches onto another tray because it’s still like new, then replace the dirty bit, lasts much longer. It’s also antibacterial so I presume that is why it doesn’t smell.

I hv no idea why ppl don’t like this litter, its the best one the market, if used correctly, you should never have to change litter brands again. No smells, no messy bottom of the tray, it does last as long as you care for it, i put shake and back on the bottom b4 use and sprinkle some when cat goes in, if you remove the waste as quick as possible there is no odor at all.

Its one of the more expensive litter but its well worth the money, i hv 4 cats and i can 100% say that the litter as never let me down in the 4yrs of using it, i use the ready made bags with the liner and urine collection layer, its awesome and makes life so much easier if you have a few cats, male female kittens, it careers for them all.

However the clumping litter i don’t like of any products, including catsan, its just not for my cats. So hope this totally honest review may give you some confidence to try the product. It does what it says on the tin and if used and looked after properly you will never go back to your old litter.

Hope this is a bit helpful and confident for you to go ahead and try. We all have different options on goods and this is mine on the catsan non clumping litter, whether its bought as litter only or as the complete litter lining and litter together.

This so one of the more expensive cat litters but for my 4 boys it’s the best choice, trust me I’ve tried others but I always come back to this and it’s our cat litter staple. I have one fully indoor cat, and this is good quality, never smells and doesn’t need to be changed every day, if you remove solid waste.

Its Highly absorbent, locks in smells and isn’t as dusty as other brands. It’s not the cheapest but over time it balances out. I have a digger and he loves to dig to Australia everytime he uses the tray, when it’s fresh he takes a litter bath so it can get flicked about as it’s fairly light weight.

Only problem if you step on a stray piece in the dark it’s like stepping on a Lego and hurts in bare feet.

This really is the world’s Best cat litter! I’ve tried so many different types to replace the dirty, dusty, tacking clay litter I started with when I got my first cat. I’ve tried various paper pellets, wood pellets, silica beads and others including this one.

There are pros and cons to them all but I really liked the crystal beads but I developed asthma from the silica dust. So next best type for me was this World’s Best crushed corn husk litter. It clumps so it’s easy to clean.

There is one for multi-cats which I’m assuming clumps even better. It’s natural and theres even a lavender scented one but I discovered my cat hates anything lavender so it’s the plain one for us lol.

The clumps are flushable, provided you make sure to let the granules soak a few minutes and expand fully before flushing away. It’s not dusty and doesn’t track like the clay or sand litters. It doesn’t absorb odors like some of the pellet products.

You only need a few inches in your litter box so even though it costs a bit more, it last a lot longer. provided you scoop your litter regularly to keep the litter as clean as possible. And since it doesn’t stick to my cat’s paws, she doesn’t lick and ingest it like the clay litters.

And if she does ingest a little, it’s ok since it’s corn, not clay or silica. This was originally recommended to me by someone at a rescue organization and now I recommend this brand to everyone I know.

I was at a friend’s house and she had an extra bag of Pretty Litter and I needed to buy a bag(I typically use clay litter. ) My friend was going on about your product and how it was the ultimate cat litter; I thought she was exaggerating! I used Pretty Litter and was astonished that it did everything it promised.

No longer did my bathroom smell from cat urine and feces, no longer was it a up hill battle to clean the box with out having clay litter soaked in urine all over the place. I was astonished with the efficiency and efficacy of Pretty Litter, that I vowed NEVER TO PURCHASE CLUMPING CLAY LITTER AGAIN! People may be hesitant about the price, but , it is worth every penny!! I can’t believe it took me so long to purchase it.

I tried this, in very beginning thought might have stumbled on something great. Little did I know the storm was brewing and about to cause horrible damage. Because this was so bad at controlling odor, my cat (who never did anything like this before at all) started brazenly peeing on our clothes, pee on the bed right in front of us.

Trying to make a point. Eventually we figured out after some reading about the behavior that it likely had to do with litter box issues. Though we couldn’t smell anything, apparently she could. Mind you we scoop her box more than once a day as well.

We switched back to the old litter brand, and the behavior stopped. It does not work! Do not use it! If giving zero stars was an option, it would be zero stars. I actually felt bad because at first it did seem like was game changer, so I recommended to someone else.

They said it was horrible for them as well. They actually had issues with odor control all around. They had more than one cat, used proper type, but said the odor was so bad after short time couldn’t take it.

I felt so bad for recommending it prematurely! If you’re looking for a new brand, skip this one. If something seems too good to be true, it usually is. With everything this promises, it’s too good to be true.

Wow so I bought this thinking it was fine corn litter. Had tried some corn from mud Bay and the stuff, along with worlds best, NEVER impressed me. So much litter Clung ro the urine, the box was damn neat empty after a week of cleaning it! So when I was at fred meyer I got this, assuming it was much finer corn litter.

Then at mud Bay I chose smarty cat grass litter. When I mixed jt with the abound. I could swear it’s IDENTICAL. WELL after thorough reading the bsg, I now know those are GRASS SEEDS on the bag, nor corn kernels🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️.

No wonder it looks identical. The smarty cat is SLIGHTLY more lightweight. But the abound is chepaer. 8. 5lbs for around $10 vs 5lbs for $10. Literally the BEST LITTER I’ve ever used. Controls smell snd instantly clumps!! No dust either! Zero!!!!.

This cat litter does everything it says it does. For once, truth in advertising. Just a few eency weency issues which probably won’t matter to anyone else but I’ll start with the big one which is that it appears to be made by and sold exclusively by Kroger and is only available at Vitacost and other stores that are owned by Kroger.

Grass seed cat litter can be hard to find so if you run out and Kroger stops selling it then we’re all going to be in trouble. The next item on the list is that it doesn’t specify what type of grass seed it is.

The picture looks like corn kernels but it doesn’t look anything like that. It appears very fine grained like sand. Whatever it is, I sure hope that it’s not viable because I don’t want this sprouting up in the yard/garden/anywhere.

I’m trying to germinate some of it to see what, if anything, comes up but so far nothing has. The only other minor concern that I have is my cats and dog seem to like the taste of it so they’re sampling it a little bit.

Not enough to make them sick but if your pets really want to eat it and you’re not around to discourage that then this might be a problem. A bit on the pricy side but I think it might be lasting longer than clay litter so I highly recommend it.

Rescued 3 kittens, 4-5 wks old. They have diarrhea. Yes, first dose of Strongid has been administered. Been using a Pine product but was a mess in this situation. Wanted unscented and no dust. Just purchased 3 days ago.

This Grass Seed product really clumps and doesn’t stick to their back legs and fur and so so easy to scoop out their tiny messes. We clean their boxes 3-4 times a day and it clumps fast. Can’t attest to clumping stability in litter that isn’t cleaned daily as not used for our family kids yet.

The scent is extremely overpowering. This is from a person who loves scented cat litter, but this one is too much. You can smell it three rooms away. BE AWARE: Special Kitty is listed by the ounce (3-5 cents/oz.

) price but other brands by the pound (48 cents, like the C. P. brand) but when you multiply 16 oz. in a pound, the difference is about 5 cents/lb. $. 03 x 16 oz. = $0. 48/lb. and $. 05 x 16 oz. = $0.

80/lb. Comparatively, WalMart’s brand may be more expensive per pound, and that’s after they undercut the price when they bought it wholesale from the company labeling it the Special Kitty brand. WM’s website is full of inconsistencies and transparently misleading details like this.

Which is a shame because WM is already one of the richest corporations in the world, but they nickel and dime their customers to skim off even more cash. BTW, there was an “error” when I tried to submit this review, and I expect this review will be removed to hide the above facts.

This litter claims to be 99% dust free but it’s nothing but dust. We’ve used this litter for years and the last few boxes have been so dusty you can taste it in the air after pouring any or after the cat uses the box.

You can literally see the dust cloud when you pour some in the box. I bought Dr. Elsey’s brand to try out something new and when I poured it there was ZERO dust. I can’t believe the difference. My cat was just diagnosed with asthma and I feel like part of the issue is this terrible litter.

I don’t understand how it can make the claim “99% dust free” when it’s a complete lie. It also tracks EVERYWHERE. Loyal customer for years but the quality has went so downhill I won’t ever buy Special Kitty litter again.

It’s a value, but at what price? Certainly not my cat’s health.

Well where do I start. I’ve been on the hunt for an eco friendly litter that doesn’t track for well over a year. I have 2 very long haired cats, all over eco friendly litters get all over the house but this stuff.

not an ounce anywhere!!! The only place it drops is outside the litter box on the matt! Good points: Smells lovely, clumps pretty well, literally no tracking, comes in an easy to store box, box lasts me about 1 month or more, have to change it less often Bad points: Was disappointed to find the litter then packaged in plastic inside the box If urine is left too long (overnight) then sometimes the clumps stick to the bottom.

Still very easy to get up, just gets stuck to the scoop. Overall I’m super happy to have found this! Highly recommend it for long haired cats!.

Lovely litter! My almost 16-year-old cat took to it straight away. She has long fur and this litter doesn’t get stuck in it. Minimal tracking. I have a litter mat and it catches it all. Easy to clean and clumps well.

I recommend using a sturdy scoop with medium-sized holes. Clumps are compact and my cat litter waste bag only needs emptying once a week with this. Lovely scent, nice and fresh. I also love the vanilla one, and prefer the lavender one for summer.

It’s not overpowering, very light. The litter is virtually dust free. I have asthma and often had problems with dust from cat litter. Not with this one. Highly recommend.

I bought this (and the vanilla one) previously to try and be a little more eco-conscious, however it worked out great as this litter does what it says. It clumps really well, creating minimal mess, it seems to last a long while and it really does cover up odours.

Our little boy Maine Coon has a few health issues and his wee smell was awful, and this is the only litter i’ve found that completely covers it up! My two cats took to it straight away as well after having a clay type littler.

People are *shocked* when they find out where I keep my two kitties’ litter boxes. This product keeps tracking to an absolute low, and the scent is subtle but powerful at neutralizing. I turn the domed kitty boxes inward, inside of a spare closet— and boom, smell seriously averted.

Then, I take it one step further and throw a little carbon filter in the corner of the room, which I switch on every few days for a couple hours (or if one cat has been particularly stinky on a litter-trip).

Anyway, you can’t smell a darn thing. It’s awesome!.

I have tried a dozen different litters and always had a ridiculous amount of litter tracked through my entire house! I was skeptical that this litter would be any different, but I am so happy to say that I was wrong! This litter has been absolutely amazing!! I would say that 99% of the tracking is no longer an issue and as an added bonus the clumping action is super fast the product does not stick to the litter box.

I will gladly pay the higher price for this product from now on. Thank you for creating something that actually works like it promises!.

Bought this last month when Hammy’s regular litter wasn’t available. I had never tried it before and was skeptical. I was actually pleasantly surprised when I began using it. The sand grains are larger than the average ones and scooping seems to get all the nasties out of the box better than the regular Fresh Step varieties.

Same great scent and clumping action. AND less tracking out of the box! Another great product from Fresh Step!.

I bought this litter based on other reviews and I definitely have not been disappointed! (So thank you all!!) As background – Our household was using another name brand litter for our 2 cats. One of the litter boxes in our home is in a small bathroom where the ammonia odor quickly built up and was potent enough to linger even once scooped and topped off with fresh litter – not to mention it tracking everywhere! But not this litter! It really does what it says it will.

The smells from the box are absolutely contained for wellllllllll over a week and while not eliminated entirely (can any traditional style litter really do that though) the tracking of the litter has improved biggggg time! Now, full disclosure, I haven’t truly counted the number of days it stays “fresh” for, but I still can say for certain that in my experience, the scent is controlled for at least a full 7 days (and likely longer if I had actually counted!).

It sounds dramatic but seriously, what used to be a smell that felt like it overpowered a whole part of the house now is gone to the point where I’ve forgotten about it for longer than was “usual” and slacked on my litter scooping duties a little bit.

It also clumps way better than the other brand name we were using and the cats took to this no problem which is good considering I was concerned about them being sensitive to the grain and scent of this new litter.

Personally, I don’t mind the fabreze scent either! We were previously using unscented with our other brand (which really didn’t seem unscented at all) and with this one, despite it supposed to have a fabreze scent, I don’t feel like the fabreze lingers beyond those first few moments after you pour the litter into the box.

It pretty much works the same as if I spray regular fabreze for other scents in the house – it hangs around for a few minutes and then that there’s no air-freshener or litter box smell. All of these things have 100% converted me to this litter, and I’m so thankful I got it!.

I love the product but watch how it’s delivered. so I ordered three packs of 38 lb fresh step kitty litter I end up falling asleep last night woke up at 7:49 p. m. and my Christmas tree was on my porch that I ordered from Walmart and I happen to look out my storm door and I seen some outside my gate on the sidewalk outside of my yard so I wasn’t even on my property so I opened the door to see if I see what I really think I’m seeing yes they left all three packages right outside my gate on the public sidewalk.

I’m blown away that it wasn’t stolen. my Christmas tree was ordered from Walmart that delivery person put it on the porch. the delivery for the cat litter was supposed to be the exact same thing but they were different deliveries they weren’t brought together.

this is totally unacceptable so if you order this kitty litter don’t be surprised if they don’t bring it to your door because that’s heavy but I guess it was too heavy they wouldn’t sell it and have it up for delivery.

so that’s why delivery trucks have dollies anyway just be careful because I know I’m not the only one they’ve done this to. I order this off the internet because I’m disabled luckily my friend pulled up and he carried them up into my house.

cuz there’s no way I could have got them into my house myself no way. delivery instructions were to leave them inside the storm door on the porch. the Christmas tree delivery guy had no problem following them instructions.

I’ve had deliveries where they just put them right inside my over the side of the fence into the grass part of my yard there’s no beware of dog signs there’s no dogs even around my yard I have cats there’s no reason for them not to be able to bring it up to the parts cuz this is just totally unacceptable so just beware that if you order this kitty litter and it says it’s been delivered but it ain’t out there somebody probably took it cuz it’s probably been out on the sidewalk.

From the human that has to clean the litter box: 1 star – this litter does not clump well. Poops are very crumbly and if the scoop hits a poop head-on, it smears. Perhaps a trade-off to being dust free is looser clumping.

Though it is marketed as unscented, be aware that it does have a very noticeable scent– not overpowering like scented litters, but if you are expecting truly unscented, this is not it. From the six-month old kittens that use the litter: 5 stars.

I have to report fairly– even though I do not like this litter, my kittens love it. We have been using Sustainably Yours, but I was hoping to find something that tracks less. I gave Fresh Step a try in one litter box (out of three) and the kittens have been using it almost exclusively.

Another way I know they prefer this litter is that they actually come back inside to use it. I feed them at 7 AM and let them outside around 8 AM. In the past, they tended to wait to go outside for their morning toiletries.

However, since trying Fresh Step, they will use their litter box in the morning and will even come back inside to use it during the day (previously I did not see head nor tail until they come home for dinner).

It is very clear that they love Fresh Step. I’ll keep a litter box of Fresh Step while I continue to try other litters. I hope to find one they love, that clumps as well as Sustainably Yours but tracks less, and is also dust free-ish.

I’m discovering it is likely impossible to get everything on my wish list.

So from the get go I loved the idea of this product! Sustainable, recycled—all the green things. But once I opened the bag and spotted the pellets I thought for sure my cats would snub this litter. One cat being 19 years and 7 months and the other being 8.

My puffs have been known to opt for outside (we’re on a farm in a rural area) rather than deal with a litter they dislike. They proved me wrong! Since the pellets were so different and for the purpose of testing for a review, I put a heavy layer of these pellets over top of their current litter in one half of their over sized Kitty Go Here litter box and kept another box with just their old litter.

This allowed them to get accustomed to the litter and for me to see which litter they chose. The first few days, nothing happened, but within 2 weeks (thank goodness the Purina trial gave us a few weeks) they were choosing the pellets almost every time—all but once or twice.

I was glad to have a thin layer of the classic litter under the pellets since the pellets didn’t absorb all urine. Plus, the old litter clumped and helped me know where the cats used the bathroom—otherwise I would have had zero idea where the cats urinated.

At no point did either of my cats have a bowel movement on this litter, so they apparently didn’t feel comfortable with the litter for that. But they did start urinating in their litter box more often.

Lastly, I had been on the search for super soft litter for my 19 year old cat when she began using the bathroom right outside of her litter box. Researched the reasoning for this behavior and a vet’s blog stated it could be due to the cat’s skin on her paws thinning and litter causing irritation or due to the litter box opening being too high for her to enter.

We tried the super fine wood chips and some clay options, but I feel like the mix of the clay and the pellets will be our new go to. Once I changed the litter and to a larger litter box with a lower opening—zero accidents.

I like that this litter provides another soft litter option and that my cat is comfortable with these pellets. Plus, there is very little mess and no dust! Update: I knocked one star off my review. A bit more time with the pellets proved to be a mess.

My cats decided they didn’t like them and a few burst into a soggy mess. It must have been a learning curve for me with the product, but either way I fell out of love with them and so did my cats. We are back to their old litter and the pellets are gone.

It’s not perfect. I tried different pine clumping litters. The smell of pine was nice because I like that smell. It seemed hard for little paws to walk on. I’m getting a kitten soon and I wanted something that would have a softer feel on their little paws.

I’m also trying for natural alternatives rather than clay litters. The pine was larger pieces that don’t really fall through the scoop well. So I scoop more than necessary but I’m finding I also do that with this paper litter.

It seems to me as though the paper is softer than pine and also will be more cost effective than pine. So I’m choosing paper. I haven’t found a “perfect” natural litter option but this paper works good enough for what I want.

Well since i couldn’t find no pellets from any brands last time i needed to get litter, I tried their new version and it’s HORRIBLE! It makes such a mess, worse than with clay! After 2 days my floor is already full of litter pieces! It was such a stupid idead to cancel the pellet one for this new type when it’s not even the same thing.

It’s also sad because I prefered this brand to other pellets one since they are smaller and therefore a bit more comfortable for cat paws. And it smells! It’s ridiculous! We need pellets when our cats have injuries! I can’t believe the company thought that it was a good idea of discontinuing it to replace with something else instead of have the 2 products.

Let me start by saying, I have a rather disgusting story, but this product almost made me cry within 5 minutes of my introduction to my cat (Romeo). So for whatever reason, probably about 2 years ago, Romeo totally stopped using his liter box.

He would pee and poop in the tub or he would pee on the floor beside the liter box and poop in the tub. He has peed inside of my HVAC vent that is on the floor in the bathroom and just 2 days ago he peed in the livingroom right in front of the TV.

I was at my wits end. I had considered the unthinkable for my kitty of almost 12 years (having him put down) because he was ruining my home and I had tried everything, water in the tub, changing litter, changing boxes, changing location of the box ….

etc. I cried and cried not knowing what else I could do. Well, I researched yesterday to find other options to correct what he was doing in an effort to not have him put down(I knew I couldn’t rehome him because he wouldn’t use a liter box).

Well let me tell you…. this stuff is nothing short of a miracle!!! I picked up my kitty and carried him into the bathroom, I let him watch me set up his NEW liter box then he watched me pour in the NEW WORLDS BEST liter.

He was clawing to get out of the bathroom, I coaxed him to come near me and the liter box, eventually he came to me and began sniffing the box, then he began sniffing the liter inside, next thing I knew he got in the liter box, sniffed around and took a poop then proceeded to cover it up and hopped out!!!! I started yelling “He pooped in the liter box!!!” I picked him up and loved on him and praised him.

I started crying… my kitty is gonna stay here and I get to love him for many years to come!! FYI my kitty is a large kitty, so I purchased him an extra large liter box ( he is a Norwegian Forest Cat) and no my yelling didn’t scare him as he was born def.

if I could give this 4 1/2 stars I would. I absolutely can NOT STAND the scent of traditional clay litter, especially once it’s been used. I used to loathe scooping the litter box because of the smell which would only make it worse when I finally had to scoop it, and I’m sure my baby nico hated it as well.

my roommate uses this litter for their cat and highly recommended it, and when I finally ran out of the A&H litter we were using, I decided to try it out. I’m SO glad I did. the texture is pretty similar to traditional litter but the scent of the litter by itself is very minimal, I don’t have the nasty dust flying up in my face when I top the box off (there is a little bit but not nearly as much as with clay ones) AND I can just flush the waste down the toilet?? it’s incredible.

while I don’t personally smell anything when my boy pees on it, I will say it essentially does nothing for concealing solid waste smells. but I hardly care about that when I can now just take the litter box to the bathroom and flush his bombs down the toilet instead of having to put them in a single use plastic bag and then walk them all the way to the dumpster.

there’s also usually litter on the floor around the box after a few days, but I think my boy is just messy lol. bottom line, there are some cons to this litter but if you’re like me and hate the scent of traditional cat litter, they are easily outweighed by the fact that you can flush the litter and that the litter box won’t smell like a litter box.

I really wanted to love this litter. But it’s awful. Full disclosure, I bought it bc it came with a promotional free bag of cat food. I didn’t realize it was corn. At first I was delighted because it was rather lightweight, you do indeed use less volume wise than other litters, it was completely dust free and smelled so nice.

Couple that with its biodegradable feature and that it’s easy on furr babies’ respiratory systems, and it could have been perfect. But then, my cats started to use it. The clumping is very poor (even mixed with other clay clumping litter,) and you have to be very careful scooping it out or it will disintegrate back into your clean litter and this a bad feature bc its odor control is non existent.

In fact imo, it amplifies the ammonia smell or urine. So unless you use it in a litter box that’s outside or in a well ventilated area the smell is awful. My house smelled like wet saw dust, sauerkraut mixed with urine for days.

I will never buy this again. When I get a hankering for trying a litter that’s on sale- I need to remind myself of the brands that I do indeed love best (chewy’s Frisco, Scoop Away and Arm and Hammer’s clumping varieties,) before I choose the cheap stuff.

All of the bad reviews on this litter are people complaining that this NON CLUMPING litter. doesn’t clump. ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO CLUMP THE PEE, THATS THE WHOLE POINT! it even says that on the product description! It absorbs it but doesn’t clump it.

Clumping litters have been known to cause intestinal blockages in cats because anything wet makes it clump, so when they clean the litter from their paws, it can get into their little digestive tracts and really mess them up and potentially kill them.

Seriously, look it up. Anyway, just came here to say that literally every single person on here who complained that this litter doesn’t clump clearly doesn’t understand what *non clumping* means. Seems pretty cut and dry to me, but I guess a lot of people don’t understand the meaning.

As for my actual review of the litter, it’s great, it does make a bit of a mess around the box, but that’s a small price to pay to sleep easy knowing that my cats litter isn’t going to potentially kill them.

Also, there are some great mats that you can put under or next to your litter box that act like litter magnets and fix that mess around the box problem all together. I hope all of you consider switching to non clumping litter, even if it’s not specifically this one.

I have multiple cats, and I ALSO have severe allergies and have a really heightened sense of smell. I have tried every litter out there, and found one I really liked, but it was discontinued, so the search was on for an affordable litter that was low dust and one that didn’t have a strong perfume smell.

I have always used the clumping litter, thinking it wouldn’t smell as bad, PLUS, it says on the bag that it’s “low dust”, but the smell was AWFUL, and dust would fill the air each time it was used, and made it hard for me to breathe, even when I was in another room.

I could ALWAYS tell when the litter box was being used by the dusty smell that covered the ENTIRE house. THEN, I tried Tidy cats SCENTED, NON clumping litter, and I LOVE it! I NEVER smell the litter box now, and dust doesn’t fill the air whenever my cats use the litter box, and even though it is “scented”, I don’t smell a perfume smell, and for someone with a REALLY powerful sense of smell, THAT is a blessing! And, it’s AFFORDABLE, which REALLY helps an old lady who lives on a budget, and having it shipped straight to me home keeps me from having to struggle with dragging those heavy bags home from the store.

I am a tidy cat fan all the way! I LOVE this product!.

After searching and paying through the nose for litter, who knew this would end up being the best my cats have ever used. We have had cats for over 25 years so this is a plus for us. One of our boys decided he wasn’t going to use what I was buying and went outside the box every day unless I had just emptied the crystal litter.

Ever since I started using this, he has used it instead of my floor. All I do is remove the poo and some urine. Add some more, and it does a great job of stopping bad smells. I do not like clumping litter.

It sticks to the paws of my hairy guy, Max. And I also don’t believe it is healthy for cats. Something else I’ve discovered is, it does not stick to the disposable pan or the regular one. It also keeps urine from soaking through.

This litter has afforded us to have two litter pans now. This is a little dusty, but it isn’t like another brand I bought. That stuff flew through the air dusting everything and our cats. For the price of less than $8 for 30 lbs.

, I am super happy to be saving money after spending over $70 a month, and it never was enough. Living on a low income, this stuff is a blessing. Oh, for you that thinks it’s too heavy to carry out, take some out in a small plastic grocery bag and then carry it out.

Our cats are happy. We are happy. What more could you ask for.

Much less dust than most clay litters but also like most, forms sticky gooey blobs when wet. Clumps, while better than many clay litters, are still not as solid and hard as desired. I resorted to this product while Garfield Corn/Cassava litter was out of stock and am glad it’s back.

Have a delivery due today. Garfield (same product as Sustainably Yours by the way) is the very best litter I’ve ever used. The one huge shortcoming of Garfield is its horrible tracking and scattering due to its pellet shape and lightweight.

We have previously used Liter Purrfect and later on Qualicat bulk cat litters from Costco but they are no longer able to source them from I think Canada. I gave Intersand Odourlock a trial and am extremely pleased with it as it does what it says and there is not the build up of odour which happens in a relatively sort time with other cat litters.

Clumping adequate though not quite as good as Litter Purrfect. So pleased with it I ordered another 3 packs!.
