20 Best Lipstick Shade For Blondes (2023 Updated)

I was looking for a lipstick with the shine of a gloss and was introduced to the Chanel one called Chanel Rouge Cocoa Flash. I honestly thought it was a shiny balm because it didn’t have the normal tip of a traditional lipstick and I had been wearing tinted lip balms that were shiny.

So I really liked the concept of the ease of a lipstick but shiny and full color like a lip gloss that isn’t really sticky. But the Chanel Rouge Cocoa Flash cost 40. 00 each and that is a lot for as much as I use lip products.

So I had heard an advertisement about a Revlon Shiny Lipstick and thought , oh ! I should check it out and it should cost less, which would be a big bonus. The one thing I hated about the Chanel one , was their lack of colors.

I was always looking for a Mauve color , and they normally only carry red shades, coral shades, nude shades or a few burgandy shades. Not many pinks or mauves. So I went to my local drugstore and saw this Revlon Shine in the color Glazed Mauve (#7) and thought I would give it a try for only 11.

00! And I absolutely LOVE it! Go figure , my first try for a Mauve shade and Bingo , I found the perfect one. I am super happy I heard the advertisement of this product ! PS I bought this on my own and giving a review because I honestly found my new Holy Grail Lip Shine , and for a great price and right around the corner from my house.

Also, the Chanel one went up to 42. 00 and they never go on sale! Goodbye Chanel ! Hello Revlon !.

These are probably the best drugstore matte bullet lipsticks I’ve tried and I’m pretty sure I’ve tried most of them at this point. So creamy with like a satin matte finish. No smell or taste like the waxy smell and taste that the Maybelline bullet lipsticks have and they’re not drying over the day.

These and the Milani Color Fetish Mattes are probably my top drugstore bullet lipsticks, but those unfortunately have an even smaller shade range than these. Like with many matte bullet lipsticks, if you have very dry lips this can emphasize or cling onto dry patches (My MAC lipsticks do this too) but they don’t tug and are not hard to spread over the lips and don’t feather.

I also like the Milani Color Statement mattes but they can tug on the lips if they’re not particularly hydrated and smoothed out, which is why I think these are better. PLEASE MAKE MORE SHADES. I’d love more brick brown red shades, rosey-brown reds (like NYX exotic), and muted terracotas.

If they were to make more of these shades all of my bullet lipsticks would pretty much be from this line. Y’all are sleeping on Revlon bullet lipsticks!.

I noticed many reviews didn’t mention the shade, so I’m adding some info. Formula is like UD Vice Comfort Mattes for me. Show Off has been a revelation for me. I find true reds (Revlon Certainly Red for example) look clownish on my skin and bring out pinkness around my lips and nose and accentuate acne redness.

But Show Off is a very wearable muted red on my nc20 nc25 ish skin. (And I am maybe a “dark autumn” if you do that coloring stuff). It’s very wearable and does not pick up my red spots at all. Yay! Insane is amazing.

Reminds me of UD and MAC shades, a deep but slightly muted raspberry maybe? Also remarkably wearable. I love Cherries in the Snow in this matte formula. Regular Cherries is a bit too bright on me, and is a bit hard for me to wear.

The matte formula mutes the color a bit I think? And it stays in place much better for me. Thus, this is the first time I have been able to successfully wear this classic shade as an all-day lip color! I’m smitten! Shameless is like UD Hideaway and similar shades.

Hot Date is bright but fun lilac pink maybe. I have others, but those first three I mentioned are favorites and I have duplicates of each I like them so much. It’s great Revlon made this line, it rivals department store brands formulas.

I’m on the hunt for opaque, hydrating lippies. I have chronically dry lips; regardless of masking every AM/PM and exfoliating, the minute I apply anything less than glossy my lips dry up. I grabbed two shades (I will explain them at the end) and immediately swatched them when I got home.

The tip of the bullets were so flat/sharp that I was able to line and fill my lips without getting it all over the place. The formula had a slip to it so I was able to clean up the outsides with ease before it somewhat set and I had no issues with bleeding or smudging afterwards.

It doesn’t have that weird, waxy smell like most lipsticks do and while it feels hydrating it’s more of a balmy feel than a waxy feel. I also had no issues with this getting on my teeth (thank goodness) and it only started wearing off, gracefully may I add, after I had a prime rib meal.

The colors didn’t oxidize and it even played well with the tissue and setting powder trick. I don’t recall much transfer after testing it with this lipstick. 10/10 on formula. Let’s talk COLORS. Nu Decadent is a very wearable deep red; it almost has a kiss of brown in it.

While I love a red lip I don’t always feel up to wearing a bold red and I can definitely see this being my night out or colder month fave. Nu Impertinent was the last on the shelf at my Target and I didn’t know until I got home and read the reviews that people are saying it’s a CT Pillowtalk dupe.

I have never tried it so I can’t give my opinion on it but this I can see being a daytime color. I am very picky with pinks on my lips because I feel they tend to wash me out but this one looked very nice and actually very close to being a “your skin but better”.

It may be too pink on me for colder months but I will probably need to wear it a few more times to really form an opinion on it. Overall I am very happy with the formula, color and price on this Clour Riche line.

I am light/medium in skin tone with a neutral undertone.

IG: @cayamontero These beautiful lipsticks look like a luxury brand but in fact are by L’oreal!! They are so emolliente and pigmented with a satin finish ( with 2 or 3 swipes you get an opaque full coverage).

All of the nude line are so pretty and if you see the packaging, it is similar to Charlotte Tilbury. I can’t compare if they are similar in formula too because I’ve haven’t tried Charlotte’s one yet.

But what I can say is, these Lipsticks are so creamy, smooth and so easy to blend but I wouldn’t say they are long lasting, you’re gonna need to reapply, they are not transfer proof. overall I really like their formula with an incredible price!!! I’m wearing the tone 176 Nu Irreverent in the pic, this one is a peach pinky I love to use in summer.

Other tone I’ve tried is 178 Nu Excessif. I really recommend this line is beautiful, good quality and affordable. #shelfie.

The Les Nus lipsticks are very nice from a texture and staying power perspective. I purchased 4 colors- Confident, Extreme, Impertinent, and Decadent. I am fair skinned with a rosy undertone. My hair is brown and it is graying.

All of them work for me. Confident and Impertinent are great for subtle, no-makeup looks, and Decadent and Extreme are good when you want more color. (Personal faves are Confident and Decadent. ). The texture is lovely, very creamy and matte.

The scent is not good – smells like a rose perfume which I do not like. I was able to diffuse the scent using a light application of lip balm. L’Oréal should continue with these lipsticks but re-think the scent.

The older I get, many lipsticks, balms, etc, bleed past my lip line. People recommend a lip primer, but honestly, I don’t want to fuss with a lip primer and have to do several steps just to apply some color to my lips.

(I have enough lip things/etc in my purse!!) This “lipstick” is a wonderful blend of a lipstick and a colored balm. I have no trouble with lip bleeding and the color stays on pretty long – which is a big plus for me.

This is amazingly hydrating on my lips. I truly love this. I now have 3 colors, plan to try more. **One SUGGESTION – please consider either putting a color dot on the top of the tube so we can quickly see what color we are selecting without having to pick up, turn over and look at the bottom.

I do NOT store my lipsticks upside down. OR, put the color sticker/info on the top of the tube instead of the bottom. I just carefully peeled my stickers off and put on the tops of the tubes. Now I can see immediately what color each tube is.

I got one of these earlier this year in the shade Barely. It’s a nice nude light pink shade, and I like the smooth texture and even application. Its a cream finish, not matte but not glossy. It’s not long lasting at all, more of a nice traditional cream lipstick.

So I tried bamboo pink on a recent sale and I don’t like it nearly as much. First, it’s a shimmer finish. Also, the shade in person doesn’t look at all like in the photo. It’s much more cool toned mauve leaning purple/grey and isn’t what I wanted.

It still feels nice on and if the shade is to your liking, it’s a quality product.

I bought this as a mother’s day present. My mom has been using the Clinique Long Last lipstick in the shade bamboo pink for as long as I can remember; since it’s been discontinued, I thought this would be a good substitute.

The shade and sparkle are great. It’s very similar to what the Long Last lipstick was. My only complaint is that I don’t love the chapstick middle because it has a slightly different, thicker texture than Cliniques other lipsticks.

I honestly wish they wouldn’t have discontinued the Long Last lipstick, but I would buy this again for myself.

This is one of my holy grail lipsticks. The container is blue EL blue with gold label with logo on the top. It has a magnet so that when you close it, the lipstick lid will snap into place and you don’t have to worry about it falling off and making a mess in your handbag or pocket.

The color discreet is the most gorgeous pinkish brown nude color. The lipstick formula is very moisturizing on the lips. Just recommend to be careful because it is very rich formula that if you pull too much product off, the lippie can break off, that happened on my first tube.

I was more careful on my second tube. I highly recommend using a lipliner to really get the rich color and longevity of this lipstick. What I enjoy is this formula is so rich that is applies almost wet looking.

You do not need to apply a gloss on top, it is already built in. LOVE IT!.

I actually bought this lipstick on the recommendation of the person I was talking to on the Chat line. I went online to buy blush and was hoping to fine the crme cheek color I used to use. No such luck.

They arent making it anymore. The lady I was chatting with recommended a Pure Envy blush that I found is perfect. She suggested the lipstick. At first I thought the color was too light, but, just like the blush, it darkens a little once you have it on and it is perfect.

It is a good match for the blush and a good match for me. I have had great experiences with this company. I read about Estee Lauders son taking over the company. It sounded like he was going to keep the quality going.

I’ve been buying Estée Lauder products for years, but this is the first time I bought lipstick as I was never much into lipstick until recently. Anyway, I fell in love with the way Rebellious Rose looked in the virtual try-on tool and settled on this lipstick.

I ensured to do a photo in natural lighting as well as the live try-on in natural lighting to make sure the color was as accurate as possible. To my disappointment, Rebellious Rose looks nothing like what I tried on.

It looks very close to Blameless. Although the lipstick is gorgeous and the quality is what you’d expect from EL it’s just not what I wanted. It’s too bright and too pink. You can see the photos for yourself.

i’ve tried 3 different shades of frost lipstick, angel, bombshell, and plum dandy. bombshell: on the mac website and in product pictures and swatches, the color looks very metallic and frosted and more of a muted pink, but its more of a bubblegum pink with a slightly golden frost.

angel: my favorite nude lipstick, but also looks very different than advertised and is a lot less shimmery than shown plum dandy: my favorite mac lipstick ever so far, looks stunning on the lips and has a slight golden pearl the lipstick takes a while to dry down, but not as long as lustreglass.

it feels smooth and nice on the lips and not grainy like cheaper frosted lipsticks. it does need reapplication and isnt transfer proof but doesnt smear everywhere. overall i love mac frost lipstick but understand why some dont.

I have been wearing this for YEAAARRRSSSS. whenever I wear I always get compliments and get hit on too. The try on feature doesnt even close to match how hawt it looks on. Its the perfect sexy metallic golden color for the days when you arent doing pink or red or nude.

Heres a secret of mine that im gonna drop I put a lot on like I literally smash it a little to get the full thick color that I want and thats my secret that ive never shared till now. it looks best on blondes but also if youre tanned possibly black hair could pull it off but probably wouldnt look great on black hair white skin.

I bought the frost lipstick in Skew as I was looking for some nice mid-pink colours. This is saved from being a regular mid-rose workaday lipstick by the cute lilac-y frost, which is subtle but fun. It is not a very dense pigment.

I don’t think the photo accurately represents the colour in real life. At least on me it is warmer and less pastel pink than the photo looks. The colour avoids being too terracotta on my complexion, more MLBB, which is cool tone and fair skin, blue eyes.

It is a nice work lipstick that can go further than the desk drawer.

I received this product in Bamboo Pink as a GWP. It’s OK, but the color isn’t pink; it’s a medium purple. It’s so shiny that it emphasizes the lines in my lips. It’s unscented and unflavored, which is good, and it’s light and creamy.

Since the color is unflattering on me, I’ve been wearing it around the house as a lip balm since it does keep moisture in my dry lips. But for $20, I can buy an unscented, unflavored Urban Decay Vice lipstick with more pigment, less shine, and a longer wear time.

Clinique, you need to step up your lipstick game to be competitive!.

The Beautiful silver tube that this lipstick is packaged in is just so classy and elegant. I love it! My everyday nude is Canoodle, which is lovely, but my favourite wow colour is Raspberry Glace. It’s a Violet Red/Pink that just works so well with my pale skin and blonde hair.

I have used it for years. The colour is nicely saturated and feels great on. And it has pretty great staying power too. Fabulous lipstick!.

Wow! For a drug store lipstick I was oh so pleasantly surprised. I was looking for a soft matte Lippie. That was all the way matte, as in does not transfer on cups, my vape or most importantly my gentleman of the moment.

This 💄 lipstick really went the mile. I hate the everyday matte that might come through on the no transfer, but feels like a layer of cement painted over my delicate pout. The trick for me I believe is giving it about a minute and a half to two minutes to let it set on your lips.

Then, no lie, it feels like your lips are naked, silky smooth!!. I wouldn’t say it lasts all day through everything, thick and thin. Although, one touch-up through the day I would say depending on your habits and It does leave a lovely naturally beautiful taupey stain behind.

For my regime I always use my MAC Whirl lip liner first before application, which I will have a whole other review about. The liner combined with this, or a favorite liner of your choosing and voila all day comfortable matte, natural tone wonderfulness!!! 💄💄💄.

I am absolutely in LOVE with this lipstick! It’s not budge-proof, but it’s definitely budge-resistant, even under fabric face masks. My skin is very pink and I was worried that More Blonde would be too warm for me, but I was happily wrong! It’s a true neutral nude shade – and my new favorite! I wear it almost every day.

I love the formula so much, I plan on adding more colors to my makeup bag soon. Also, you get quite a bit of product for your money. And, as a personal bit of pleasure, the component clicks closed very satisfyingly, as does the tube when you roll it all the way down.

This lipstick doesn’t look like anything extraordinary but I truly loved it. It’s a gorgeous matte finish with color payoff that’s actually very impressive. I’ve used liquid lipstick formulas for so long that I stopped even considering using traditional lipstick but I really enjoyed my experience using this one.

The skinnier size made application much easier and more precise and it looked gorgeous even when I was in a rush and skipped lip liner. 😅 The mauve color that I received was absolutely stunning; it looked natural enough to be professional but popped just enough to be noticeable, definitely going to make this red lips addict think twice about skipping other colors! I didn’t notice an extreme amount of texture blurring while using this product but my lips don’t tend to have much texture to begin with so your mileage may vary in that regard.

This formula isn’t exactly transfer-proof but I also wasn’t being careful and don’t mind reapplying throughout my day. Overall I loved this product and would love to try the other colors in this range and can definitely recommend it.

I am a Mecca Mad make up gal and at Level 3 Beauty Loop get some really lovely samples and products in my beauty loop boxes. This month one of the inclusions for NARS 25 year celebration was a Rosecliff lipstick.

Ironically the Beauty Loop box Level 2 had my favourite product in it, a Tatcha Dewy moisturiser. Unfortunately the nude lip is really not my thing, it makes my pale face look completely washed out and I always think if ever a lipstick is included in something it should be bold and something that suits a lot of skin tones like a bold red or bold pink.

I really appreciate the lovely things I get in a beauty loop box but this one was a miss I’m sad to say. The lipstick is full sized, and has a creamy formula, but, as I said, it makes me look unwell the colour is absolutely not a universal nude as it is touted.

A universal nude usually has a touch of pink in it, this is a light brown nude. I’ll be finding a friend that’s more nude lip 90s oriented to give this to.

The good: lovely colour! On my lips (light skin, brown hair) a medium, slightly rusty red that I can wear comfortably during daytime. Opaque and matte but with a slight sheen. The bad: it’s gone off and smells like an old waxy crayon.

The worse: it dries my lips to the point that they feel sore. The ugly: like other NARS lipsticks I’ve tried, it’s cheaply made. The actual lipstick wobbles in the bullet and I have to be super-careful to apply it cautiously so that it doesn’t come off.

To be honest, I didn’t expect a new lipstick to smell dodgy after a couple of years.

This is a confusing one – I love this for the colour and velvety matt finish. I bought this in Tonka which is a really lovely warm brown. But the lipstick is rather soft, and the packaging really lightweight.

My first tube was wobbly and eventually broke off the base even when only twisting it just enough to use. When you do this, the lipstick then gets lines on it from being to soft and leaning against the edge of the packaging, it also moves when applying it.

I had this one replaced, but was disappointed only to see it happen again.

I was very lucky to have been gifted by Revlon the entire set of Super Lustrous Glass Shine Lipsticks. Of the 12 shades my favourites are Cherries in the Snow, Love is On and Black Cherry. These lipsticks are so lightweight and comfortable to wear – almost like a tinted balm if applied lightly.

They glide smoothly over my lips leaving a glossy finish and making my lips feel hydrated and soft. The colours are well pigmented and I find I can apply a light cover or I can build up to a more intense shade.

The gloss finish is the type of lipstick I prefer because it brings a bit of life to my lips. Non-drying, with a lovely creamy slippery feel without feeling greasy. The staying power isn’t too bad until I eat and then it’s time to reapply.

All in all, my lips love this buttery soft formula.

Researched this carefully and expected to love, but on my lips, this is insipid in both colour and texture. It’s a mauve rather than a berry on me, and is not especially moisturising or glossy. I have lavender pigmentation at the edge of my lips but pale skin and I need all product including gloss to be capable of defining a soft edge or blending discreetly in a flattering way.

I was unexpectedly disappointed by this one, the colour and texture do nothing for me at all. I could live with or indeed embrace a sheer tint of colour but this just doesn’t do anything for my lips.

For reference, am in early 40s with pale skin, rosacea, grey blue eyes and a thin upper lip, historically I can carry off berry shades but I do have a lot of purple discolouration under my eyes and mauves can make me look slightly like I belong in the morgue.

And lipliner does not tend to suit my thing upper lip, however without it I think this mauve actually accentuates my lip pigmentation and the edges look both undefined and unflattering/unhealthy. I can see this working on plumper lips with a different skin tone but I feel like even then you would probably want to use an additional product like lipliner of a pop of gloss to make it work.

As for the two stars, there are definitely worse products and the price and delivery time were excellent but I wouldn’t have spent the money on this had I been able to see what it looks like on me. It seems Revlon previously made a “lip butter” in this shade and it could be that texture would be far more suitable for my lips and more to my liking.

I got the shade Teddy Bare after hearing good things about it. I have very pale lips so every lipstick looks darker on me, and Teddy Bare shows up as a red-brick brown. It’s the perfect color for fall.

The formula is moisturizing, light, and comfortable on the lips. It doesn’t last long, but non-matte lipsticks never do. It does fade well, though, and fades into a stain. My main con with this is the smell.

It smells like a cherry flavored Chapstick that has been sitting at the bottom of an old lady’s purse for 5 years, huddled next to a cheap floral perfume. My other Milani lipsticks smell like vanilla, so I’m not sure why Milani thought this was a good idea??.

I don’t wear makeup daily so when I do apply it I prefer a soft natural look, if you can tell I’m wearing it, I did it wrong. My appearance caught up to my age after a long fight with cancer. No where is that more evident than my eyebrows, eyelids and around my lips.

I’m learning the tricks to hide the flaws and found some great Mililani products I trust for consistent results and quality. Which is why I was so disappointed with my recent purchase of Milani Bold Color Statement Matte Lipstick – I Am Smart (0.

14 Ounce) Vegan, Cruelty-Free Bold Color Lipstick with a Full Matte Finish. The produce did not dry but began bleeding into all those little lines along the lip line. In very short order I looked like a toddler who had raided mummy’s makeup case, not exactly the look I was going for! As the product is advertised to be a lipstick that stays put I can only surmise this was a “bad batch” and will try a different color in the product line.

I have MANY shades of this so it’s difficult to speak on color theory. So I’ll speak on the formulas. I’ve tried the Retro Matte, Matte, Satin, Amplified Cream, Lustreglass (formerly Lustre), Powder Kiss (liquid and bullet), and the Love Me Lipstick (liquid and bullet).

The Retro Mattes are SUPER matte, they won’t move all day and don’t crack or bleed into lines/wrinkles, however, you do need a lipliner before using because the formula is a little thicker because of the super matte aspect.

The Mattes are a bit creamier but still very airbrushed, this one you don’t need a liner but you can easily pair it with one, these will still be a bit on the drier side but long lasting. The Satins are the matte look and a cream consistency, and last all day (except for minor touch ups after meals), this has a small shine to it but nothing crazy.

Lustreglass is ULTRA SHINY, and the first on the list to not be an opaque color upon first swipe. This one is a buildable coverage, and ultra hydrating with argan oil. Powder Kiss is similar to the mattes, the only difference being that the powder kiss has more of a soft velvet texture/finish.

And finally, Love Me Lipstick is a cross between Creams and Lustreglass. Shiny but not super shiny, with opaque color payoff, and a super creamy finish.

This is simply one of the best lipsticks out there. I’ve tried an assortment of drugstore and high-end lipsticks with varying success. However, I always go back to this lipstick in the Creme in Your Coffee and I’m always pleasantly surprised how much I still like.

The shade is perfectly flattering for my skin shade and undertone (slightly pale with warm undertones). The formula is comfortable and long wearing. Something I really appreciate is that it can touched up easily throughout the day without any awkward and tacky build up of product.

Ensure that your lips are exfoliated before application and it will further the creamy appearance and feel. The way this lipsticks wears down is also worth mentioning. It doesn’t wear down patchy and the color will remain.

It’s just a great lipstick for everyday and special occasions. Highly recommend for casual to recreational makeup lovers :).

It’s been a long time since I tried these lipsticks. I bought 3 during a special sale at Ulta. I ordered Creme in my Coffee (creamy), Ruby-Woo (matte) and D for Danger (matte). The last one wasn’t for me so I exchanged it for Velvet Teddy (matte).

I haven’t had a matte lipstick in about 6-7 years because they just destroy my already dry lips. These two weren’t that way at all – I was surprised but so happy. Velvet Teddy was recommended from different site for my skin tone for years.

SO glad I finally tried it! I love this one and the Creme in My Coffee. Ruby Woo is also good but not for everyday (and I haven’t worn red lipstick much since lightening my hair) but it does seem to work for me so I will keep that one, too.

But if you’re a true neutral tan (4N1 in estee Lauder foundation), try Velvet Teddy and/or Creme in my Coffee.

After chatting with your kind representative or beauty consultant, any given alternatives of lip colors does not work for me. I’ve been BB fan for a decade and I’m so disappointed to see many colors discontinued.

I’m forced to change the brand or go TF or YSL. I have not shopped at Bobbi Brown online for a while for this reason. Especially, I wear Rasperry for year! Nowhere to be found. I’ve been searching for very light pink colors I’ve been wearing and they do not exists.

This is the only one that stays on and moisturizing. I don’t like Luxe compared to this one. Many unhappy customers and I’m one of them in hope you’ll hear us out. I love everything in crush lipsticks packaging ,shades n fantastic balmy formula. please don’t change the formular. if so just add Shea butter n avocado oil. Anyway I live the colours I owned almost many colours.

Cocoa completely can’t see any shade on lips. Wasted. Bb comes with idea with earthy shades with coral , red , burgundy. Some paste n candy shades. wake up. bb. 2023 produce more shades in different colour theories.

I bought the Bobbi brown (brownie) crushed lip color. Of course I tried before I bought. And I love it. It’s very natural and creamy but not glossy or shiny, not matte either it’s like putting tinted lip balm and it is a very natural shade.

Not too dark or severe, and I’m in love with it. I have olive skin tone. It warms your face. But I tried the pink (bitten) color crushed lipstick. I glided it on but it was rough and barely showed. Like a cheap dollar store lipstick or play make up for little girls.

I didn’t get it of course and what a difference in the two colors of the same brand. I don’t like pinks or berry color lipsticks anyway, but thought bitten looked nice like a brownish matte pink color.

But no go. I prefer browns and oranges. Stick with these tones if you want visible lipstick. 🤷.

this is the type of product I would probably not go out of my way to buy. I don’t know much about the brand and have never really been drawn to the products, it was a pleasant surprise. I’m not one to be wowed by packaging, as long as it’s functional and doesn’t fall apart, I’m good, however it does have a sleek simple look and is sturdy.

what I’m really loving is the actual lipstick, not necessarily the color because I don’t really wear reds like this anymore and haven’t really since I was in my teens. the formula of this lipstick is really nice and It coats the lips with a smooth application and has a weightless feel which I like a lot.

the one huge thing that I really like is lipsticks that don’t have a taste, even that “makeup” taste that some lipsticks have is nauseating to me especially when you’re eating or drinking something. I almost forgot that I had this on when I was eating something and licked my lips before I remembered and I was surprised to see that there was no taste or smudging and the lipstick was still intact on my lips without any wear.

it’s not budge proof or anything but if you have to gently dab or lick your lips it’s not going to disturb the application and that was a huge plus for me because if you don’t have it on you for touching up or if you’re like me and I just remove my lipstick whenever I eat or drink anything it’s nice to not have to worry about it.

my lips chap horribly and they peel several times a day because the skin on my lips seems to grow back fast so my lips are always dry and chapped if I don’t keep them hydrated and moisturized and I was happy to see that I could wear this and my lips don’t dry out and I can get a decent amount of wear time before reapplying it.

the coverage goes on sheer at first and is buildable. if you want a longer wear and a more opaque coverage you would have to wear a lip liner with this shade. I like the fact that it’s kind of sheer and I don’t usually like to bother with wearing lip liners and things because I am a no hassle makeup wearer, I like to just be able to apply and go without a lot of extra steps unless it’s for a special occasion.

I think I would legitimately consider buying a more everyday type of shade of this because even though it’s more on the higher price range than I usually go for I really do like the wear and the formula of this lipstick.

for a skin tone reference I usually wear nw25 from mac, I’m a light to medium skin tone, more on the neutral side.

First of all, this is my very first free product ever received from any brand for review. I am tickled to have the opportunity to review a free product and would not dare cheat the experience by giving less than my honest thoughts! This lipstick is a luxury experience to me primarily because of the brand name, the packaging, and the color.

I usually wear a bright red for special events or a stage performance, so applying the color Scarlet Rouge psyched me up! I applied the color on a WFH day with a bare face (no other makeup) just to test it out.

It is creamy and thinner than I was expecting, but the opacity did build up after 2-3 coats. I appreciate a thin texture and lighter opacity because it gives me control on how to wear the product. Even as creamy as it is, it did catch on a dry patch on my bottom lip.

I have a relatively pointy cupid’s bow, so the wide lipstick bullet made application somewhat challenging – this is easily fixed by using a lip brush or liner. I point this out because I do NOT think I could touch this shade up on the go or in the car.

I also don’t think this would be a good product to use if you are overlining, since it is so creamy. I personally like the look of the “satin” finish and like how it feels on my lips. Over the last few days I have gotten 2 or 3 hours of decent wear before noticeably needing a touch up.

I would personally not purchase this shade of this product for myself, as I prefer something longer wearing if I am reaching for a statement red. I’ve attached swatches of Scarlet Rouge next to the other reds in my collection for comparison.

The packaging is weighty and, in my opinion, beautiful and expensive-looking. I was slightly disappointed to learn that the closure is not magnetic. But it does have a satisfying and secure “snap. ” The larger square base does not fit in my acrylic lip organizer (purchased from Amazon), which is also disappointing since this lipstick packaging is certainly a product I want to display!.

I’ll start by saying that I regularly buy luxury brand lipsticks. Dior, Chanel, Lancôme mostly. So, I had high expectations for this Tom Ford lipstick, especially given the cost. This is by far the most expensive lipstick I have ever purchased and I can tell you that you are purely paying for the Tom Ford name and packaging.

The lipstick itself, other than maybe the obscure color, is nothing special. I purchased it for a wedding. It’s across between a taupey mauve and pinky plum color, but is honestly pretty muddy so you have to be pretty light-handed with it and be cautious not to put too much on.

I found that the greatest application success/results was/were achieved while dabbing on a small amount and then spreading over my lips with my ring finger. IMO this absolutely needs to be paired with a lip liner.

My biggest issue with the lipstick is that the formula is extremely soft and the lipstick started to slide off its base only after a few applications. I live in New England and the wedding was in northern California during mid-Fall.

The lipstick was never fully extended during application and from a temperature/environment standpoint, this makes no sense. This was an in-store purchase while on travel, and since I don’t live anywhere close to a Nordstrom, returning was not an option.

Unfortunately, my excitement about this lipstick quickly turned into disappointment. I recently found a drugstore brand that is very close in color and sadly, far superior in quality at close to 1/10 the cost.

Maybe someone else has had a better experience, but I wouldn’t recommend this lipstick.

i think all mac lipsticks are the best i’ve ever used. i’m not normally much of a lipstick user, but he creany feeling of this product aginist my skin is just to purepure. especially the viva glam v.

i’ve never felt such a velvet product against my lips. it feels so good just to have it on and it feelts so good against my skin. that’s what i like best about mac cosmetics. it wants to feel so good againiosmpated againist all the op; i’ve unsed something.

it seems like actual magic on my skin. what’s more is that it’s so like-weight, i can barely tell it’s there. but it always looks greaat even though it’s so lightwight. i love all my mac make-up. but please bring back viva glam v.

i was unhappy when the lipglass was discontinued, but getting rid of the color entirely was just taking things a bit too far. BRING BACK VIVA GLAM V! though some colors are close, it’s just not the same and the world need vg5 back.

it’s the only respobsible thing to do.

These are very nice products, though I haven’t tried the mascara yet. The lipstick is especially surprising-like buttah! I don’t normally like liquid lipstick but it’s so rich and smooth I think I’m going to look for more colors.

(Especially since my last purchase of a different brand of solid tube matte was a huge fail. )The rose serum is very odd but it feels nice and didn’t cause my skin to break out. It has a rose scent but it’s not heavy or cloying and fades fast and absorbs quickly.

It’s thick (iridescent!) too which makes that absorbency so surprising. I used it as a vehicle for The Ordinary 10% lactic acid and that worked well- my skin seemed to like it with no burning from the acid.

The primer looked very sparkly going on but when I put foundation over it it didn’t seem to make a difference. It requires more experimentation. So does the powder, which is also super glittery/bronzey.

I really like the lip stick and the rose serum enough to maybe seek out the full sizes. The others we’ll see. Oh, also, it comes with a bag which is hard to tell if you aren’t paying attention. It’s silver and zips and is about the size of the box.

It’s very padded and soft, and I really like it. It fits a LOT of stuff. Like, I basically bought all new make-up recently and it fits everything except the brushes and the huge eye-shadow palette. Great bonus there.

At first, I loved how these looked and felt. They were long-wearing, not drying, and have a great applicator. Sadly this only lasted a couple of uses. It’s almost as if the seal on the packaging was non-existent because they spoiled so quickly.

They barely lasted a month before they smelled (and tasted- oops) SO bad. The formula got clumpy and they had to be thrown out. If it wasn’t for the excellent first impression that showed some potential, I would have given this zero stars.

I LOVE this lipstick! I have super sensitive skin overall, and when I wear most any other lipstick, I have dry, sore, chapped lips for days after. Not with Physicians Formula! This is my second purchase of this brand (different colors), and they are light, the color stays on and most importantly to me, my lips feel like normal even after wearing this all day.

This is HUGE for someone who has to be on video calls all day, to have a lipstick that I can wear, especially being super fair skinned, as I no longer look completely washed out in all of my meetings!I will be ordering another shade soon!.

My favorite color is Discreet. I am a huge fan of Estée Lauder lipsticks. The containers are always beautiful. The new container has a magnet so that the lid will latch into place and you never have to worry about losing the top in your handbag.

This lipstick is super creamy and moist on the lips and it has a natural shine that appears to almost being a gloss on top. The color discreet is a brownish nude with a hint of pink. I get compliments all the time when I wear this lipstick.

It is not long lasting on its own. I highly recommend using a lipliner. Recently I will top my liquid lip with this lipstick. You get longevity and creaminess at the same time.

I have fallen in love with this Estee Lauder Long Lasting pure color lipstick. It’s a perfect browny taupe nude color that creates a really sexy yet natural look. Lips look more full and plump too. Stays on for hours without reapplying.

I will definitely buy again.

Love the formula of this lipstick, it’s very creamy. It also hydrates lips very well. There is tiny shimmer in it, which you can see both in lipstick and on lips. There are lipsticks in which the gloss disappears when applied to the lips, but in this one, it remains for the whole day.

Yes, this lipstick lasts up to 4-5 hours and will not remain after lunch/dinner, but reapplying it is very easy and without problems. The colour is very saturated and pigmented, applied well without bald spots in one layer.

I have became braver trying more and more matte lipsticks and this one doesn’t disappoint. I will begin with saying the color pops off as a coral color on me. It is so pretty. As far as the formula goes it defiantly is not drying and feels so creamy when applying.

This lipstick last for a bit but it isn’t a long lasting lipstick. I would recommend and I hope to try more colors in this line.

I love the texture and feel of these Beautiful Color lipsticks. They are moisturising, and stay on well, coping with hot and cold drinks, but less so with food. I bought this colour, 32 rosy shimmer, as a replacement for a discontinued lipstick.

It is not the same colour as the website picture suggests, more at the brown end of pink rather than a clear pink. It’s a nice, natural (for me) colour, but not really what I was looking for. I received the shade “Bad Reputation” in my monthly beauty sub box I am a repeat user. Bad Reputation is deff a WHOLE bold, high pigment, vibrant bright redish shade with hue of hot pink in it; WHOLE Barbie Tingz! THIS satin formulation is a good one; with moringa passion fruit oils,so it’s extremely creamy; NOT drying at ALL, glides on with ease like butter TBH.

Deff a WHOLE satin,NOT a lip stain or matte! Because of the oils, can transfer. HOWEVER it has some staying power, is VERY bold brightly pigmented, doesn’t feather after a few minutes of application, esp when paired with a liner OR set with powder if need be.

ONLY thing is you may need to reapply more than matte esp after eating drinking because it’s sooo creamy. Glides on like butter is sooo vibrant.

I received my first NARS lipstick (dolce vita shade) in SpaceNK advent calendar. And honestly I wasn’t really interested in this brand. But it was so wrong of me. The lipstick appeared to be so good even comparing to more expensive lipsticks from my collection.

It has sheer finish and looks shining. My lips feel so good with it that I don’t need to worry and apply some nourishing balm or masks before using it. I actually use this lipstick as a balm. The shade is really beautiful.

It prettifies my natural lip color. And I like that it doesn’t feel sticky and can be used on the go. Honestly I can reapply it even without a mirror. It has a subtle sweet smell that I personally don’t mind.

But I can imagine that it can be an issue for someone. Anyway I really recommend this shade and I am thinking about trying some other NARS products.

While the lipstick shade Is obviously beautiful and the formula nice, one of the reasons I personally choose pat McGrath over other brands is for the luxurious packaging that elevates the experience.

Unfortunately the product imaging is rather deceiving in my opinion. I was expecting the packaging to be just like all pats other bullet lipsticks with high quality looking and feeling packaging except with the bridgerton collection bow on the tube instead of the normal lips.

That is sadly not the case. This tube is made of cheap feeling lightweight plastic and the gold detailing is painted on and will most likely wear off rather quickly. The price point on these lipsticks is a bit lower which is good since they have slightly less product as well.

But personally I would have preferred the original quality be maintained and paid the normal price or even a few dollars more for the limited addition collection packaging. Lowering the standard of quality that has already been established only leaves people disappointed which is obviously not the intended emotion I am looking for when purchasing from a high-end beauty brand.

ok, so basically my main issue with my purchase was by far the delivery time. i ordered 2 lipsticks and it took 6 weeks from purchase to delivery. now, about the actual lipsticks. the bridgerton packaging is adorable in theory, however, they look and feel horribly cheap in my hands.

the packaging feels like something children’s makeup/facepaint would be packaged in. very lightweight. i have the shade Elson 5 (which is a permanent shade) and it’s lovely. no issues with this one. it swatches very true to color with nice opacity and creamy feel.

i also have the shade venusian peach, and it swatches veeeeery orange. it swatches much more orange than it appears in stick form, or in any of the ad pics online. i can make it work with a very light application, but I find it difficult to work with the shade in general because it swatches so differently than the color I see when I look at the stick.

for reference, i am light-medium olive complexion.

First off I’m not much of a lipstick girl as I prefer glosses, but the colors of this launch were so tempting I purchased the Nude Romance. I’m completely in love with this satin finish lippie. The formula is so hydrating and creamy, it feels like a balm on your lips.

It floats on top of lines and wrinkles, smoothing them away. The color itself is truly a MLBB for me, which is exactly what I was going for; it perfectly balances the funky eyeshadow/blush looks I create with the Diamond of the First Water palette.

Now I could kick myself for not having also purchased Negligee at the launch, but it’s in my cart heh heh. I see the reviews are mixed for the packaging. I will admit it does look a little tacky for a luxury beauty product.

It doesn’t really bother me as it fits into the Bridgerton theme, but they should have used higher quality materials for the component.
