20 Best Lime Green Hair Dye (2023 Updated)

Pulp riot is by far my favorite brand to use in my hair. It’s chemical free. Vegan and ZERO cruelty to animals. Any company who is all about loving animals and keeping them safe is a win for me. Anyway, I love the conditioning treatment Pulp riot products leave in my hair.

I also love how long lasting it is. It doesn’t damage my hair, So I can change the colors often. If you are considering bleaching, I’d suggest doing your research fully before hand. Bleaching my hair as a “I know everything” teenager, Has cost me my beautiful long hair.

So with the help of Pulp Riot and my amazing Hair Stylist, I’m gaining my confidence again.

So gentle on the hair, the colour (Pink Blush) it’s absolutely stunning, such a cute shade of baby pink. The application was easy, I would even say extremely easy. My friend applied it on me, for the very first time.

We were a tiny bit unprepared and went along with what we had; she applied it with her (gloved) hands. The results was still beautiful. I’d also like to say that like for any semi permanent, there’s literally no point in applying the product on non treated hair; it just won’t stay – but that goes for every semi-permanent, not this one specifically (given the poor reviews).

On unbleached hair, a semi permanent won’t last nowhere near as long as for bleached hair and also it won’t truly colour the hair but it will give them a sort of highlight/sheen/glow effect; my hair had been bleached a month prior, and become a strawberry-blonde shade after many washes that spent my original pink/fuchsia dye.

Recommend PulpRiot and will buy it again ✌.

This is the best I have EVER tried! It lasted longer than Ions Permanent haircolor (used with developer) This requires no daveloper so it is not harmful to your hair, and it lasts a long time. Especially if you only use cool water on your hair and using a color wash shampoo also helps if you really want to keep the vibrancy going but also works well without this.

I have dark hair which had been pre-lightened and it worked great! I went in the salon the next time for more bleaching because I wanted more and they used Ions PERMANENT Purple color with developer and it did not cover as well as Pulp Riot AND IT (ALMOST ALL) WASHED OUT IN THE FIRST SHAMPOO! As did 2 of their other so called permanent colors! But I’m good I got more of this and I will be set! The last time I used after 9 weeks I still had BEAUTIFUL PURPLE COLOR! I have never received so many compliments on my hair in all my life! Please never stop making this I love it!.

Form now on I will be using Adore hair color. This color stayed on my hair for hours and still came out the same way it was before I put the color on. I have tried this color once before and the same results occurred.

If I could give this product no stars I would!!!!!.

Just as the name says, it’s very purple! I have mixed greys and the color deposited on all of them. It didn’t do much to the black streaks I already had. There was no stinky smell, and it was easy to apply.

I’ve used lots of semi-permanent hair refresher color and this is the first time I’ve ever been absolutely appalled with the results. Forget the fact that it added very little color, it left my hair in awful condition.

I’ve finally recovered after washing it out twice and using lots of conditioner. Whew! Needless to say, I threw it away.

I have nothing but good things to say for this hair color. If you know how to properly take care of your hair color, this stuff LASTS FOREVER and is absolutely non damaging. I would mix Red Hot and Red Velvet for my perfect red.

When I did a whole head dye, I would leave it on for at least 45 min but generally two hours. The color would last well over a month with virtually no fade. I had been coloring my hair red for so many years and this was the greatest product.

And then they took it away. I’m not sure what happened, but it appears they went professional only and dropped this line. Shame on you for selling out, if that’s what you did. Because of this, I no longer dye my hair red.

I can’t justify dying my hair any color without this dye anymore. My hair had never been healthier while it was dyed before. I am really sad to have been forced to leave this brand behind.

Let me start by saying how awesome all these products are. Vegan. Cruelty free. All that. I have been coloring my hair for years and Sparks is definitely a go-to. It does tend to leave my hair on the dry side, but other than that, the colors are always bright and don’t fade quickly.

A definite 9/10 for me.

I use this for many many years now, and i love it. Even in summer days, the colour lasts amazingly. These four colours are my favourite! Sometimes i combine them and everytime i get another shade of green.

I dyemy hair alone, and i don’t make a mess with it, because it’s creamy. I tried different greens from others, but i will stick with Crazy colors!.

I love the consistency of this hair dye, it’s not too liquid and not too solid. It smells neutral and is easy to mix and apply. After using it my hair looked very shiny so it’s definitely moisturizing for the hair.

However the colour is not the same as it looks on the package and the swatch. I added a bit of black to mine to make it darker but that didn’t do much. When I washed it after it had been sitting on my hair for the recommended time it looked like a dark burgundy red, it faded a lot with each wash, after a while it turned bright purple.

I actually quite like the colour even though it was not what I was intentionally going for. I do want to warn you: it stains very bad! It looked like a murder scene in my shower, my body turned literally purple.

It did go a away after using regular shower gel but just keep in mind that it can get pretty messy!.

Easy to use and pleasant smelling. I had lightened hair from the hairdressrs, but it was a very brassy yellow. This peach dye gave it a subtle colour which looked lovely in the sunshine. Lots of positive comments.

Now I want to try something even brighter!.

I have being dying my hair bright, vibrant red for just over five years now, and Arctic Fox has been part of my color maintenance routine since day one. Vibrant red hair is not easy to maintain and keep from fading quickly, which can very quickly do serious damage to your hair if your only using ammonia-based chemical dyes every time you need to refresh your color.

Arctic Fox doesn’t damage hair at all. In fact, it helps undue the damage caused by permanent dyes because it doesn’t have any harsh chemicals that strip hair. Arctic Fox is actually GOOD for your hair and works just like a conditioner, not like a hair dye.

I add Arctic Fox to my regular conditioner (sulfate free of course) so that every time I wash my hair I’m also keeping my red looking vibrant and even healthier every time. I always wash my hair using the coolest water I can tolerate and after I shampoo I apply my premixed bottle of 3/4 sulfate free conditioner, 1/4 Arctic Fox Wrath + a dollop of Violet Dream and let it sit on my hair secured on top of my with a claw clip while I finish the rest of my shower routine, just like I would do with a nourishing hair mask.

Once my routine is done, I rinse out my hair thuroughly in cool water and towel dry it only so I get the most out of conditioning my hair, and viola! My looks, feels softer and healthier than before I washed it, plus my red still looks like it did the day I first day I dyed it.

It’s a win win. Not only does Artic Fox keep my red looking great, but it leaves my hair healthier every time also. Plus the custom colors you can create by mixing different different Arctic Fox colors together are endless! I was amazed at the color i got by mixing Purple AF + a touch of Aquamarine! It sounds crazy to mix aquamarine and deep purple together, but the color came out a multidimensional dark blue/purple-ish color that changes color depending on how the light hits it.

It’s my new favorite color! It does come out very dark, so I apply it (no conditioner added) to the bottom 1/3 of my hair and lightly pull the color upwards into my red to get a perfect blended fade from bright red to deep blue/purple.

I get compliments on my hair every day and people always ask me how I keep my color looking so bright all the time. Arctic Fox, that’s how! =).

Absolute garbage hype beast brand. Just a disclaimer, I don’t think I purchased both of my bottles at Ulta, but I did the Violet Dream for sure, and I’ve used them twice in combo now, and I can say with absolute certainty that I will never be buying Arctic Fox again and will try to steer anyone clear that I can.

Save your money, other brands are far better. Even Manic Panic with it’s eternal staining and bleeding will at least actually stick to hair and Ulta carries them. And to be clear: I followed all the instructions.

I was careful that my hair was freshly washed, no conditioner or product whatsoever, dry obviously. I used more dye than necessary just to be safe, wrapped the dyed sections in foil and then bag heat processed the whole shebang.

The end result: I’ve got sections of purple from the Girls Night Out and Violet Dream combo I just applied, I’ve got the old faded green sections from a much better brand in random spots, and one side took completely differently despite being treated the same way so I’ve got one mostly purple streak with green here and there, and one slightly purple, slightly green with some awesome sections with no dye.

Oh yes that’s right. I had sections where the old dye had faded so completely that it was back to platinum blonde. Guess which parts it didn’t stick to? Yeah. Those bits. Bleached but healed platinum blonde.

Covered some sections of green just fine, but apparently a blank slate is a bridge too far for this brand. And yes, they were definitely covered in dye; I went overboard because my first attempt using this brand was laughable results-wise.

Turns out, that’s just how this brand do. I have no idea where all these people that worship this brand are coming from. Are they wearing wigs, is it dyed with another brand? Because there’s no way they’re using this stuff.

It barely sticks to hair, so how are these people getting full, evenly dyed bright hair huh? Super sus.

I am absolutely in love with this semi- permanent hair dye. I did have dark hair and had to lighten it first bc I wanted bright color and not just a tint of color, and I did use the Arctic Fox bleach kit which I will review next.

To get this gorgeous candy apple red color I mixed the colors Poison and Wrath. First off the first thing that I noticed that was different from regular box dye that I used to use all the time is that the Arctic Fox hair dye does not have harsh chemical fumes.

I used to hate when my eyes would burn from the strong fumes from the box dye. The Arctic Fox hair dye doesn’t smell like chemicals at all, instead has a grape candy smell to it which smells so good and leaves your hair smelling good for days after.

This dye was very easy to apply and is very very pigmented. It will stain so be careful with getting it on your skin or clothes. I put some conditioner around my hairline and it didn’t stain my skin whatsoever.

Also it rinsed out very easily and left my hair feeling so so soft even though I had bleached it the night before. With box dye my hair used to feel so dry and look so dull after rinsing the color out.

But with Arctic Fox my hair looked so shiny and felt so smooth and soft, and the color is absolutely stunning. This is def going to be my go to hair dye for a long time bc it was such an enjoyable experience and the results are better than I imagined.

Plus it didn’t stain my tub, it did leave it a little slippery bc of all the conditioning agents but otherwise so so good.

this stuff is AMAZING!! So I have been on the grey silver hair trend (well trying to get there at least) lol and the stuff is a lifesaver! I couldn’t get the darn brass out of my hair and it was driving me crazy! tried almost everything! My last option was toning but after all the bleaching I didn’t want to use chemicals.

this saved my life and turned my pale yellow to a beautiful silver after one wash with a little bit in my shampoo! then I shadow tried with it full strength! no brass slightly profile like I wanted (only in the sun and thats because I left it on as little longer to achieve the purple silver look).

I also used it on my son because w bleached his mohawk twice but was still orange like really orange! one freaking wash with a purple shampoo I made with this (a little stronger than the one I made for my hair since his was so orange) and we got a beautiful silver!! I’m 1 wash!! no more expensive purple shampoo for me baby! I got one bottle and have made 3 batches of purple shampoo, shadow ripped my hair fill strength 4 times and still have over half a bottle left! My go to and will always keep it stocked in my house!! totally recommend if having title getting brass out or arrived orange after bleaching and don’t want to bleach again!.

Perfect semi permanent hair dye. This is the 3rd colour I’ve used of this brand and put the dye over faded blue and purple split dye. The blue side went purple and over the purple it went the same colour as the bottle.

The best hair dye I’ve ever used. East to apply. I have a lot of hair. I went through a bottle and a bit just because I wanted to make sure I covered the blue. Love the smell. Love how easy it is to wash out and off skin.

It’s obviously gonna fade after a few washes. Normally lasts about 10 washes for me but I have rather damaged hair so that’s to be expected. Recommend this to everyone.

I absolutely love this! It’s the first time I’ve ever tried this brand. I’m actually pretty impressed. First of all the color is beautiful, bright red. It’s easy to use as you don’t need developer. I have damaged, over processed hair from bleaching and dying my hair purple constantly.

It covered my faded purple very nicely and is lasting a long time. Also it wasn’t strong chemically smelling like others and made my hair really soft. I’m definitely buying this again!.

A good option for the transformation for one evening. However, one must understand that such a tool is harmful to the hair. I tried pink, purple and green colors. I liked it, but my hair felt dry and brittle to the touch.

I like that you can really transform and add something new to your image. The pluses include the ease of applying the product to the hair. The smell is neutral, the creamy texture m is well distributed by cosmetic sponge.

In general, I recommend, but not without nuances.

This product is for us who aren’t wanting to take the full plunge, but yet still want to have a little fun on the weekends too! The color payout is fabulous, the wash out time is optimal, and the smell is minimal.

This is such a great product when I fancy a quick change of colour and something a bit more exciting than the normal colour. It’s easy to use and adds some great fun to my look. One of my favourites when feeling s bit dull.

This is my favourite crazy colour dye. Crazy colour is my favourite semi permanent out of all that I had tried. Its very good value for money and I find that the dye lasts quite a while in your hair.

It will fade pretty soon but it’s not so dramatic that you constantly need to touch up your hair. I’m a lazy dyer so this is the product for me. My hair always feels soft after using this, especially when it previously has been bleached.

I usually have long thick hair and use 2 to 4 bottles depending on length but that is still very affordable in comparison to many others because it comes to only about £20. My hair is currently down to I’d say the middle of my chest and I use 1 and a half bottles.

The only problem is the green can stain your hair and if you don’t know how to fix it (using the right toners for the colour issue) you can destroy your hair trying to get it out. This stained my hair and I tried a million awful ways to get it out of my hair and destroyed it in the process.

I’d have appreciated a warning with this type of colour, as I’d dyed my hair most colours under the sun, even a different type of green, without this happening.

Great product only let down by the hardly readable instructions on the plastic coloured bottle! Why not use a leaflet instead! Even when I tried to use my phone to take a photo then expand, the writing was so small it became distorted!.

Ohhh my, this colour is absolutely gorgeous, but not for the faint hearted. I absolutely loved it, again crazy color never fail when it comes to vibrant semi permanent hair colours, if your looking for a green that’ll make strangers turn their heads, this is definitely it.

I actually used the shade 210 Lavender, but that one isn’t available to review on here. So I took a huge leap of faith, and dyed my hair an “unnatural” color all on my own! My hair was on the dryer side when I decided on undertaking the dye job, and I couldn’t believe how much dye it sucked up.

I actually used two of the packets of 210 Lavender dye on my belly button-length hair, and had none left over. To be honest, I wish I had a third packet to really apply it thoroughly, because I was nervous about running out the whole time.

The dye feels like a conditioning hair mask. I lightened my hair to a bleach blonde almost white months ago and chose just to rock some natural roots with the purple color, so I’m not sure hot well this dye applies to freshly lightened hair.

The dye is pretty forgiving, for anyone that wants to do it themselves. After carefully applying the dye, making sure each strand was fully saturated, and waiting a little over a half hour, I washed out the dye.

When the dye was fully rinsed, my hair texture still felt healthy and didn’t feel overly processed. I found that the color stuck pretty universally, and didn’t experience any areas holding the color better than others.

Does stain hands.

For a back story I am a natural sandy brown and my hair is in a mohawk currently. So I purchased the iroiro neon blue and first I did a bleach kit as I mention darker natural hair as I wanted to get the full effects of the neon.

So bleached first then onto the color. I applied the color and left it on for 45 minutes so that i would get the bright vibrant blue i wanted. 45 minutes later i wash dye out under cold water as warm will fade it, didnt want that.

However I have been dying hair for 20+years so I’m experienced and know what I’m doing. I am almost a week out and I literally look like I used one of the 1q 0 washes dye because I havent washed it yet but it looks as if I’ve pretty much combed it right out.

This is by far the worst hairdye I have ever used. I’ve used numerous brands and numerous different colors and I will never purchase this brand again. I would not recommend it as it does not do what it stands behind.

Worst product ever.

I had this put in by my hair stylist. She did research before buying a green color. This was her first time doing both green and this brand. This is 350 Neon Green. I fell in love almost instantly when the color barely washed out of my hair when rinsing.

It’s so bright and very beautifully pigmented. The fade is absolutely stunning. And definitely is a 2 in 1 color taking less time to do a yellow to green fade in my hair. As it fades naturally. This one is also very UV reactive.

I sat in the sun about 3hrs about 8 days and 1 wash later and it was so nest to see the yellow green color. And then have it turn a darker shade indoors. This is by far my most favorite color I have ever placed in my hair.

I had her do a crown effect to my underlayment. With my natural color on top. And it’s the perfect balance between the 2. It’s been a month and 4 washes later. And I still cannot believe this is my hair now.

Definitely recommended.

So I’m going to start by saying that this hair dye is my go-to vivid dyes, they are amazing, all except for the pink. DON’T BUY THE PINK. Seriously, I have no idea why they are all amazing and that one color is such a dud but whatever.

I’ve been doing vivids for over six years now and I have always used Pravana. I was absolutely bummed when they discontinued the Locked-In line because when you are doing multiple colors they can bleed together and the Locked-In prevented that and it was amazing.

I really wish Pravana would bring it back because I know I’m not the only one who appreciated it. Unfortunately I did try the crystal colors and they were absolutely horrible, they left spots that were completely untouched and I had to completely redo my entire head.

The regular vivids are amazeballs though and I will continue to use them. Pra. vana Vivids Locked in Purple, 3 fl. oz.

I personally did NOT like this at all. My hair was already pre lightened to a very very light blonde I would say a number 8/9 and this didn’t take at all. It could be that my hair was a little damaged from bleaching but literally did nothing for me.

Hopefully other people have better results than I did. It was also on clearance at cosmo prof. It was always in stock when I went there too so definitely wasn’t selling a lot. That’s just my opinion tho.

If anyone had different results I would love to know because never know maybe I’ll give it another try. Maybe there’s a trick to it lol.

I would consider this product to be more like a pink version of virgin snow. I understand tints and light hair dyes work best on platinum hair, BUT, I felt it was advertised more as a fully saturated dye.

It’s my fault that I didn’t look into it more, I assumed it would be thicker and more pigmented. I love manic panic and figured I’d give it a try after 10 years and I gave my hair some time to heal. However, even the fully platinum parts of my hair were just slightly tinted after using two bottles.

From my experience the dye hardly absorbed into my hair I even left it on a bit longer than instructed. I wish it had been advertised more as a pastel toner gel, I’m sad to be writing this review. It’s not a bad product, it just wasn’t as advertised.

Like I said it’s more like virgin snow than a full color, I suggest that they make some adjustments on the sample pictures and description. If you’re looking to SLIGHTLY tint platinum blonde hair to a pastel light neon pink color, then this is for you.

If you’re looking for full saturation, I’d go with one of their darker colors. It really was like a thin gel and hardly stuck to my hair, I understand the less blonde parts not being fully colored, but it was disappointing to have such an underwhelming effect on my super blonde sections.

My hair was left feeling soft, looking healthy and shiny so no complaints there, awesome formula, disappointing color. hopefully I have better luck with a deeper pink.

Ive always used LaRiche ever since I discovered them over 10 years ago so I can wholeheartedly recommend the brand. But each colour has its own pigment problems. Unfortunately yellow dyes dont stick well and Sunflower is no exception.

Luckily I have very short hair so the tub lasts me for months (you dont have to use it all in one go you can save it for up to 3 months after you open it). But I will have to keep topping up the colour every week or so.

But the colour is glorious! And the quality is the usual LaRiche standard so buy with confidence.

I bought the colour Ebony and never has any other hair dye, black or another colour. stainer so much as this did. The floor of my shower is completely blue, and so is my back. So be aware of that. My hair is black, so it did work.

The undertone is not the best and some spots look a bit greenish. I had light pink hair before applying Ebony. However, I have used pinks and oranges from Directions before, and those were good for the price and fade nicely.

But again, there are better options.

Love Directions hair dye. Such a great range of colours, you can even mix them together and start to create your own. I personally find that my colour (over bleached hair) stays vivid for about 4-6 washes, washing in cold or lukewarm water once a week – that’s over a month of nice hair and that’s pretty decent! Even after that, the colour will only fade so far, and you’ll be left with soft pastel colour for months that will never fully disappear.

Even when my hair is 3-4 months in and my colour is super faded and I think it looks a bit average I still get heaps of compliments on it! If you wash your hair too frequently you need to understand that is the reason your colour doesn’t last long, and acknowledge that you will need to colour it more frequently if you like to keep it looking fresh.

Long story short, this colour is great if you look after it.

I have never been so impressed with a dark hair dye in my life. I bought the juniper green and used it to dye a chunk of my hair. The texture of the dye itself is very thick, and therefore less likely to drip and splatter.

It smells fantastic, almost like something you would find in an apothecary. I had previously made the mistake of using splat and completely ruining the bathtub, but this dye took maybe a minute before the water ran clear, and what few stains were left behind came out effortlessly with a magic eraser.

Despite the lack of sticking or transferring of dye to skin, this looks FANTASTIC. The color is vibrant and absolutely gorgeous (photos of the dye itself on the website are very accurate), and while I’ve only just done it I’m eager to see how long this lasts.

Not only that, but I used this on freshly-bleached hair and the dye itself made it feel softer and look less damaged. Stunning, impressive, I can’t even begin to dream of going back. Absolutely stellar product.

I bought 4 dyes from Lunar Tides: Juniper Green, Aurora Green, Pastel Iris, and their toner. the toner worked great, I loved it! however the dyes are absolutely terrible. I read so many reviews before buying from them and the only “bad” thing I could find was that it was runny and messy.

the hair dye I received is almost a gel consistency, not runny at all. my hair was platinum blonde before I dyed it with juniper green. it is very dark in the container, but bright green on the hair; this was my first red flag.

I kept hoping it would be darker when I washed it out but obviously it was lighter. my hair was joker green. I figured this was my fault for toning my hair and thought maybe that could be the issue. however, I also dyed part of my hair with the Pastel Iris.

in the container, it looks like a darker purple (the shade you think of when I say purple) so I assumed it would be darker than I expected; it was not. it went on the hair very light, looked very similar to the toner.

after I rinsed it out (with cold water as you should) the color was BARELY there. it looked like I left toner on for a little too long. again, I figured this was my fault for ordering a pastel dye. HOWEVER, I just washed my hair for the first time since dying it (it has been exactly ONE week) and the color is completely gone.

the part that was dyed purple has absolutely no color in it. this was after ONE WASH. there is absolutely no reason for my hair to be blonde right now. I had to purchase a completely different dye to cover up the horrid snot green and now I have to re-dye the part that is purple EVERY TIME I want to wash my hair??? an absolute waste of money and time.

should not be sold as semi-permanent.

I love Lunar Tides. The salon I go to for my highlights use this product. I also purchase this as a consumer for at home use in between salon visits. The dyes are super vibrant. A big plus is that Lunar Tides are vegan and cruelty free.

I like mixing colors to make different shades. These are semi-permanent so they will wash out. I recommend washing your hair with cold water and use Watercolor Shampoo for whatever color your hair is.

Lunar Tides ships their product relatively fast too and normally include a discount on next purchase.

I had been using semi-permanent hair dye for a long time. I loved the vivid colors but hated how quick it would wash out. After trying the Flare Me line, I will never go back to semis. Of the three that I’ve tried, ‘Rose To The Occasion’ is a my personal favorite.

It’s a beautiful, cool toned pink that looks good with my cool to neutral skintone. ‘Make ‘Em Blush Pink’ is a vivid, reddish pink that looks lovely for weeks, even after it’s faded away. And ‘Power To The Purple’ is a unique, purple red wine color that I think would look great on anyone.

I highly recommend mixing these colors together, too. I love Flare Me and feel like it deserves much more recognition. Great product! 👌💜.

I have tried several different pink dyes (Manic Panic, Good Dye Young, Ion, etc. ). The Flare Me colors (particularly Make ‘Em Blush) has become the go-to for me. It is super easy to use, applies well, the results are typically even and best of all, it seems to last much longer than anything else I’ve tried.

Also, Make ‘Em Blush is kind of my “unicorn” of pinks. I can go really bright, almost fuschia, or add a pastelizer or pure white developer and it turns out a lovely rose pink. It really IS my favorite :).

I did my hair with little to no experience on doing my own hair, it was completely simple. I went in with a ” I think this is right ” mindset, just thinking its right not knowing haha. 1/1 ratio, easy.

So I did my roots tough as teal and the rest was a mixture of tough as teal and queen of green. Sadly, I had to do it twice cause the green wasn’t dark enough for me. Anyways, teal was great super vivid bright, dark yet shiny but during my process teal bleed through to the green (which is totally normal, it always bleeds through no matter what brand unless there’s a special tip let me know lol) wasn’t bad looking the color came out pretty nice.

But I did it again cause the green wasn’t dark enough for me! (Maybe I just didn’t mix it right, I heard green is just a very hard color to do and if you don’t mix it right it won’t come out right, just a little tip before you get upset doing so, this goes for all dyes) But after the second time it came out amazing! Darker, teal still overpowered but looks great! So, even through that my teal still stayed in my hair no fading at all! And, I’ll add even after a few washes you’ll see color coming out BUT conditioner is your best friend, as long as it’s been fully washed right after you’re good don’t worry it doesn’t kill your hair.

I dye my hair plenty of colors and I’m not bald nor my hair gets damaged like that yet so trust me! Lol. It amazingly didn’t get on my towel or pillow after washing and I’m towel drying it btw, it’s a win win.

I was used to messing up my towels and pillows just to have this color style. Ok so after a few washes (every 2/3days, you say yuck but hey you gotta do what you do for these hair color ok, Hahaa) teal washes out where it bled and green came out more, nice dark green and the roots with the teal still hasn’t faded.

I love the matrix hair color line. This is my second time using it and the colors are so pretty and vibrant. I went to Walmart the second time and had my hair done the first time was at ulta who uses the same brand and the color last a very long time and fades nicely as well which is equally an important.

It will come out darker initially. I have 3 shades in my hair the pic is not doing it justice. The ends will turn more lilac/violet after 1 or 2 washes. I can’t remember the exact colors used I know one was called royal.

This was done yesterday so very new and fresh. Please excuse the fact I have no makeup on. I recommend walmart as well as long as you get someone who knows what they are doing because the pricing is way better.

If you want to go full platinum in one sitting go somewhere else from a darker blonde or light brown that is. Do your research always. 🙂.

I have applied the dye once so far – 2. 5 weeks and 2 hair washes later, the dye is still look good! Very happy with the colour, it’s a bright red red (not pinky red or orangey red). Dyed over pre-lightened hair (I’ve been red for 10 years +).

I also like that you shampoo your hair first, then put the dye on damp hair. Let it set, then just rinse out the dye and use conditioner meaning you get the full effect of the red. Will be purchasing again.

One of the most vibrant semi permanent direct dyes I have personally used. It’s very pigmented, shiny and conditioning. As directed, shampoo in cooler water for longevity. This particular line has a permanent and Demi permanent series.

It is still recommended to shampoo in cooler water along with no sulfate shampoo. When this line was launched matrix also launched the keep me vivid leave in spray which definitely pro Kong’s the pigment.

This line had minimal fading while ive found other lines like ion, pravana, uberliss fade a little faster. The removal for this line is no where basic like other lines I have used. You must know all of the underlining pigments to not run into mishaps.

DO NOT USE BLEACH. Matrix socolor cult has a specific remover. I recommend using this to remove. Also to avoid odd color bands DO NOT let Demi/permanent touch each other or semi. Recommend doing a double process.

I use the RV, the VV, sometimes the BB, and the PK, and I think this is about the best direct dye since sliced bread. I use it in a bowl with a tint brush, on hair that I foil-highlight first and let it rest and deep condition for a day.

I put it in dry hair, (just the highlights) and put on a plastic cap (for my pillowcase) and leave it overnight. If it’s not dark enough, I might do it again. It’s got amazing shine and is as close to permanent as I’ve ever seen-bleach barely even gets it out.

Yes, it bleeds in the beginning-bathwater, towels, etc. If you’ve ever used direct dye before you know the drill, this is just what comes with it. But after the first day or two it’s gone. It gives amazing color and shine, and lasts damn near forever.

I can’t imagine anyone giving this a bad review unless they’re just not using it properly, and in that case you should have in done in a salon.

I am not a hair stylist but I am certainly a hair enthusiast. I have been getting my hair dyed crazy funky colours since the age of 14. I have used boxed products as a teen and since my 20’s I have only had my hair professionally dyed.

I have to say that Goldwell Elumen has been my all time favourite so far. I had a very vibrant purple put in my hair which stands out amazing against black. I have light blonde hair with black and the vibrant purple underneath with a edgy textured angle bob.

Absolutely love the purple. I had the colour put in in May and the colour is still there. It has grown out and I actually had it redone due to that fact but the colour holds up. For month i used the elumen shampoo and leave in spray conditioner which helped with the longevity.

The product is great. However, once the hair gets wet it does not stay on the hair. Without shampoo well understood. Z. b wen it rains. When showering with water only, the water also turns green. (Without shampoo) This is a bit of a shame otherwise it would really be a great product! The color is very intense and beautiful, and works great on brown hair.

I bought the blue and yellow , i sprayed a copious amount of the dye on my Afro-textured hair , it barely penetrated the strands- instead it merely sat on the top of my hair – vaguely coating it – the color was very dull and only covered some of my hair and rubbed off very easily.

Maybe it is different if you have hair more closer to 1c- or 2c – but if your hair is more course it might be difficult to get even results with this product – i used to use a very similar thing when i was younger that worked very well – i use to color my hair very frequently -from the Manic Panic Company ( i recommend there products _ – ALSO the smell of this product is VERY VERY STRONG – Think A NAIL POLISH REMOVER SMELL – 100% Chemical smelling – I GUESS i recommend this if you are only try to add slight color to yyour hair for a party gag – but not if you are seriously trying to add temporary color to your hair !!!.

This was purchased for my son who has short light brown / dark blonde color hair. He will be going to an anime con for three days, he has used this in the past and stated it takes about two cans a day to reach, obtain and keep the color in his hair.

My purpose in sharing is so you are aware that one can may not do the trick, buy extra.

This product was bought as part of my grandson’s costume. We tried it on his hair and loves it.
