20 Best Lily Pad For Lake (2023 Updated)

Ordered in June, they said would deliver in 2-5 days. Well about 3-4 weeks later it shows up finally. I was going to take it back because I specifically ordered it to be here in time for hot days and it said it would arrive but obviously missed that.

Anyways, for a family with 4 kids it seems to work great. Very easy for the lighter kids to stand on (75 pounds or less), wife can stand up on it at around 140 (120 if you ask her), sinks a bit more in around the 175 mark but still works.

Overall a lot of fun, had a lot of people asking about it and I would buy it again. Glad I got the 18′ length one. I thought it might be too big but honestly just fits the family. We are using it on the Puget Sound where inflatables will get cut by barnacles, will see how it holds up long term.

Purchased this for our cottage on a lake. It’s nice and sturdy and both kids and adults have had hours of fun. I think we got our money’s worth the very first weekend with all the use. Easy to roll up and store.

Would buy again!.

Perfect for our group of adult friends to lay out and have some cocktails at the sand bar. This is second one we have owned and love it

Great mat, only complaint is the tie down ring is on the opposite side of where you inflate the mat. This is a problem if your looking to inflate it from your boat with mat in the water. It would be nice to be able to have it tied up against the boat while inflating it.

After inflation the mat has to get flipped over so when your using as a slide the tie down ring and the nozzle that you inflated the mat doesn’t catch your body. It would be nice to have mire than one ring as we are now using it as swim platform with the mat anchored to a block at the bottom of the lake.

We called and orderd more rings and glued them per the manufacturer instructions. We added two on opposite side and added another on the otherside so we had two on each side. We wanted so the mat can stay in one place and not move around for any waves or for wakes created by boats.

It’s working out great with the extra rings, so the mat stays put. We upgraded and bought the high pressure electric pump, unfortunately it doesn’t come with a PSI gage like the manual pump, as Reef recommends a certain psi to be inflated into the mat.

I called customer service and asked why paying extra money for the pump they sell it doesn’t come with guage. I asked how do we know we put enough air in mat. The reply was when the pump makes a sound like the mat is full stop filling it.

Other than these issues it’s a great Matt so far. Let’s see how it holds up.

Purchased a Reef 85. I’m impressed by quality of materials and build. Mat inflates easily in about 4 minutes with hand pump. The double action pump is awesome. I would like to see the inflate/deflate valve and “D” ring on the same end to make deploying/retrieving from a boat easier.

Not sure why they are currently on opposite ends which means you have to rotate the mat around after inflation and before deflating. Surface is a bit slippery but that can add to the fun. Also due to the surface area of the mat, it tends to skoot around on the water surface as people move on the top which I’m sure all inflatable mats will do.

This can add to the fun or it can add frustration depending on the situation. The 4-inch thickness is easy for most youth and adults to climb onto from in the water. Deflating with the pump can suck the bottom and top layers together right at the valve limiting the ability to draw air from the far end of the mat.

This is manageable with fine tuning your folding technique. Overall this meets our expectations and we are VERY happy with our purchase.

I absolutely love this mat as I couldn’t make myself purchase a foam one and I’m so glad I did. Yes, it is heavy, but it takes up no space compared to a foam one, this lives on my boat out of sight. An electric pump makes setup very quick.

It gets 5 stars for fun, but will only be giving it 4. The reason for 4 stars is that it does scratch and leak very easily, and the tie-off point comes opposite of the fill point making it odd to hold in place and inflate/deflate off the back of a boat.

Aside from that everyone is obsessed with it and I can’t go out without it and not have another boat ask about it. No regrets!.

Sturdier than expected. The floatbis not flimsy and is a bit heavier than expected. However that is likely why it’s sturdier. Also the zipper is quite sturdy as well. I feel comfortable recommending this and would buy another should I ever need another or if I had the space to connect another mat to this one.

These things are a blast for the kids, and a floating oasis for adults, but not both on the same float ??. We have several as we live on a river and the kids swim EVERY day. They have invented so many games and mastered so many stunts (like a back flip off the edge) that there seems to be endless possibilities.

I won’t say they are indestructible, because I told the kids to really test them, and they did put a hole in one by catching it on a sharp bamboo spike sticking up. It was patched and put back into action.

They don’t do that anymore, and no more accidents. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

This was great for lake trip. It is large and heavy, but folds well to fit on boat. You will need electric pump to inflate. Kids loved playing king of the hill. Adults loved floating with beverages and staying cool.

The teens did some floating and sunbathing. It was used non stop and we’ll use it next season as well. You can stand on it, but it requires balance- I’m in my 40s and was able to stand some.

I love this mat! It had so many uses! It’s durable, easy to clean and feels comfortable to lay and sit on. I use my mat for yoga, the beach, poolside, sunbathing in the backyard, during backyard play with my son and so many other things.

I love that it folds up and stays closed. It has a comfortable strap you can use to easily transport it. When using at the beach, I sprinkle. a little baby powder on it and the sand comes right off. It really can be cleaned with a few hand taps and a baby wipe to wipe it down.

I purchased two more of these for my husband and son. We can easily share one to sit on but they loved mine a little too much. You will not be disappointed in this mat. It folds easily and lays flat.

it also weighs next to nothing. I use mine so much I keep mine in my trunk so I always have it.

Our nineteen year old loved this pool mat because it made it easier for her to lay outside in the sun. It’s a little to cold in our area to go swimming but she could still lounge outside on it to get a little sun.

It’s so comfortable that she fell asleep outside on it. It’s very well made and hard to mess up. It has a spot thats kinda like a pillow so you’re not just laying flat on the ground. She can’t wait to use it in the actual pool this summer.

It’s very easy to fold up and store away so that’s a major plus as we can take it with us when we travel because we enjoy going to different water parks.

I absolutely love this pool float. It rests just enough above the water to keep you not completely wet but just enough to be comfortable. It is really easy to get on to! This float also can fold up and go in the car using very little room, be used to lay out on the beach, and it has carrying handles.

I would choose this float again hands down against any other pool float, pretty design, low maintanence, great choice! I highly recommend!.

This review is for the Aqua Pro Supersized Floating Party Platform. The dimensions of this float are 131 inches long (10 feet 11 inches) by 67. 5 inches wide (5 feet 7. 5 inches). Opening the box, the reality of the large size becomes apparent.

I recommend that you check dimensions before you inflate the float to insure plenty of room. The top side has a nice soft flocked fabric, very comfortable to sit on. It also has plastic mooring rings on opposite corners that you can attach to a dock, a boat, etc.

The bottom of the float is heavy duty PVC type material – much, much thicker than an average pool float. The plastic fill valve is also on the bottom of the float, and has 2 fill valves, a small and a large to accommodate different size pump attachments.

It’s important to note that the manufacturer specifically directs you to NOT use a high pressure pump to fill. The last item that the float offers is a zipper that runs the length of one long side of the float and both short ends, so that you can attach other floats for expansion.

The first thing I did when I received this was spread it out so that I could inflate it. I recommend using the small valve opening because it is faster and easier to close when the float is fully inflated, so that you don’t lose much air.

I left the float fully inflated, and put an 8 pound book on it so that I could see if the air would hold BEFORE I put it in the water. Unfortunately, the float was flat where the book was placed after 24 hours, so that I was reasonably sure that this float would not stay inflated very long once in the water with people on it.

Because of the safety factor of using this in an open body of water, I decided to try it in my pool first, to see how it would hold up. Unfortunately, the same thing happened in the pool – it would not hold air very well, made even worse because of 2 people climbing on and off of it.

Our combined weight was about 360 pounds, and the float box states it has up to 1000 pound capacity. I don’t know if I just got a lemon, because I could not find a leak, but after testing this and seeing how fast it lost air, I would not feel safe using this in open water.

It would be okay in a large pool, as long as you understand that you will be re-inflating this often.

The AQUA floating party platform is a great quality product. We have used it a few times so far both at the lake and in the pool. It is easy to inflate and deflate (with a pump) and pretty easy to travel with.

Our kids love lounging and jumping off the platform. My wife loves the print on the fabric which seems like it would hold up well. I am not sure if it will truly hold 1000 pounds but decently held a well-fed family of 4! This is definitely better than the foam water pad we had last summer.

This Supersized Floating Party Platform is so much fun! At 12′ x 6′ this mat is huge! It holds up to 500lb so it can fit multiple kids or adults. It is great quality and will last is a long time! It was easy to inflate with a pump and stayed inflated while kids hopped on and off multiple times.

Overall, a great product for a pool, lake, or even the Gulf. Fun product!.

Definitely a must have pool accessory! This mat is strong, yet the material is soft on my skin. Floats just as intended and really does dry quickly. Living in Florida our pool is year round with the sun beaming strong.

A month of this living in my pool during the day and the color is still holding strong, not a bit of fading from the chlorine or brutal heat!.

I’ve had many air beds, and a few Intex beds. This one is hands down THE BEST airbed I’ve had. Feels like a real bed. Made of higher quality material.

As others have stated, the mat is made of 2 layers of foam and is not indestructible. That being said, we purchase a new one every summer. With 2 100+lb dogs and teenagers jumping on it from the side of the pool or boat it inevitably tears towards the end of summer.

I’ve looked at others with a much higher price tag but I don’t see much difference in quality. I imagine it would last longer with proper storage and gentler use but where’s the fun in that? As long as the price remains reasonable this will be a summer staple for my family.

P. S. you can cut the ripped ones and use them for floating babies, beaching jet skis, as a mat for an outdoor shower etc.

Pros and cons – Pros: Easily accommodates 2 adults and 2 kids playing around. Not too difficult to roll up but certainly takes some umph to do so. Best if you have 2 adults when rolling up. Tether cable a welcomed bonus! Cons: 2 foot tear formed by second use dead center of pad.

A real disappointment. No reasonable way to repair. Tether is located on only one side. Would be extra great to have one on each side. Is extra large in size. Not necessarily a problem but could obviously be difficult for those on the small side.

Grand parents for example would have difficulty moving this one.

The island is a rough foam like mat that is not coated like others I have seen. Unfortunately we have not had a chance to use it. The water is 50 degrees here. The installed loop catch (for lack of what it actually is called) is in an odd spot.

Im not sure if this is to secure the line to the dock/ boat or a ancor to keep in it one spot. to me, which again, I have only opened it to look at it, that part should be upside down in the water so there is not a tripping hazzard on top of the mat.

The mat also does not roll out flat. Im hoping once it gets in the water it will straighten out. Time will tell.

Perfect for us. You can use the “pink” side or flip it to “blue”. Great price and good quality. Definitely recommend.

This float mat is so much fun. There is room for 3-4 adults. The quality is great and I looked at many other expensive floats.

Arrived just in time for Spring break! kids love it, so much fun on our lake 🙂 Will def take some time to flatten out

I love the water and love any and all water toys, so when I saw this cool floating pad, I knew I had to get it for our family’s Memorial Day get together at the bay. This floating pad is HUGE and measures 12 feet by 6 feet when laid out.

What’s nice is that it can be rolled up for easy storage and comes with two (2) hook loop straps to keep it in place and prevent it from unrolling. When rolled, it still does take up a considerable amount of space, but I stored it length up so it’s like a column and placed it in the corner of our garage.

After a lake trip in 2019, I’ve been dreaming of getting a water pad of my own, finally took the plunge this summer! Shipped fast, arrived fast and undamaged. This thing is huge! Holds five adults comfortably (as in we have room and some water on and around us).

I absolutely love it.

We ordered this mat for our summer vacation at the lake. We left the mat in the water all week and it stayed relatively in the same spot since we had other inflatables around. When we took the mat out of the water yesterday, we noticed that the bungee cord that attached to the mat on one end and the dock on the other had started to fray.

We had only had the mat on the water for a week and it had minimal use. The mat was great, but the bungee strap wont last.

Works well – kids had a lot of fun with it! I did break a strap when trying to wrap it back up. Overall very happy with the Waterpad.

After 2 uses, the metal anchor that holds a rope fell apart, the screw came undone and half of the anchor fell into the lake. I called the manufacturer and they tried to tell me to go to Sam’s website to buy a new anchor.

I refused due to the obvious manufacture defect with the anchor. After a little back and forth they agreed to send me a new piece as they should. Just a warning. Make sure your anchor is tightly screws before use.

We plan on super gluing it together when we get the new one. Other than that, the pad was a hit and floated well.

I was quite surprised at how quickly & easily this lounger was ready for the pool. It almost leaped out of the package & took very few breaths to inflate. In no time at all it was bobbing around & ready for use.

My only complaint would be that the headrest is rather low & I would have appreciated a bit more height.

I take one with me every year on vacation. This is my second one. They last forever. They are durable and easy to inflate. It fits nicely in my suitcase.

Bought this today and took it to the lake. Absolutely awesome. Doesn’t require much air to fill the pillow and sides. Also dries fast. I used this in very shallow water. If it touches bottom, it is the mesh that touches and not the air compartments.

I will never buy another air mattress again. Comes in a few different colour combinations and will hold up to 250 lbs. Very light and folds away just as it states. Great value.

I think this is a good company so i do feel bad saying something negative. But i feel like i have to. I was very excited to try something lower toxic for my kids furniture. I mixed up the plum color and the strong ammonia smell was to intense to deal with.

I thought it was supposed to be low odor, by wow burn your eyeballs strong! (Im really not being dramatic) The consistency also was weird, like smearing uneven mud on the dresser. I powered through hoping it would be alright, but it did not look good.

After it dried i figured i would just sand it down to try something else, but sanding it the ammonia smell was now in a dust cloud everywhere! Even dry the stink is wild. The dresser is pretty much ruined as i can not sand it all off.

I didn’t even attempt to use the mocha color i also bought. I did however use the clear topcoat sealer on a pine wall which i liked. It did not have the ammonia smell. This milkpaint was a disappointment.

Using this type of paint for the first time was rather interesting. Getting the thickness (viscosity) proper required a bit of “fettling”. This is a positive in that I could see situations where adjusting viscosity would be needed.

The paint itself covered well and I am very impressed with the finish. I will be ordering more for other projects. I love the fact it is low/non toxic and cleans up with plain water. I look forward to trying a number of your other products too.

I’m presently painting a wooden toy cut from a piece of dried maple. It’s the first time I’ve used Real Milk Paint and it fully meets my expectations. Covereage is good. Most colours work well with just one coat.

The paint flows nicely and allows for fine detail when using the correct size brush. I’m particularly impressed with vibrancy of the colours. The colour finish seems very durable and seems to withstand scuffing.

The service and delivery (to Canada) was prompt and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this product. John Bolton.

Bought this for my niece and she loves it. She’s a year old and likes using the rainbow slats to pull herself up and stand. She also likes trying to bite the unicorn horn. The entire pool is one piece, but there’s 3 or 4 different sections that get inflated separately: the bottom floor part of the pool, the main pool/unicorn, and the rainbow cover.

It’s a great size for my niece and I’m excited to use it next summer too!.

They held up really well to some rough treatment and still stood the test of time. Family get together and we had a homemade slip and slide dodge ball field set up. Bought these for all the bases since we have some BIG men in our family.

BIG COMPETITIVE MEN. so I knew little cheap pools wouldn’t stand a chance. looking at the reviews prior to purchase, these looked like they MIGHT. Well they did!!! All day long they took a beating from that ball game and now they are put up and ready for the next one!!!.

I love that this mat is super squishy and comfortable. My 3 month old takes naps and has tummy time on this mat. I also use it under his wooden wee workout play gym that I bought at Land of Nod. I like that this colors and style are modern and neutral enough and of high quality in comparison to the cheap plastic mat and gyms on the market.

The only reason I’m giving 4 starts is the $$$ price and the bottom of the mat doesn’t grip our hard wood floors too well. It tends to slip a bit, but overall I’m pleased with my purchase.

The Nook Lily Pad play mat is better than I expected! It is soft, colorful, and the perfect size for my 3 month old. The fact that it is breathable gives me peace of mind. Highly recommend!

This mat is much softer and springier than I expected. It has 2 plastic buckles to keep it folded up and has a handle for easy transportation. If you have hardwood or tiles floors this is a must since it is far superior to any blanket.

If you’re putting this on carpet you can easily use a blanket and achieve a similar effect for a fraction of the cost. I absolutely love this playmat, but I wish it was 2/3rd the price or less.
