20 Best Lightweight Vacuums For Carpet (2023 Updated)

Within 1 minute of its’ first use this model #2475 Pet Hair Eraser Turbo had its’ brush roll stop spinning before a small 10×10 foot area was complete. The belt assembly is centre mounted so debris from both sides of the brush roll collects towards its’ centralized belt motor which sits open with nothing to protect it from debris.

This results in it being the furthest thing from the “tangle free” unit it is advertised as. Removal of the head screws holding the bottom cover in place is quite easy so I was able to see what was causing the jam (see picture attached).

The manufacturer claims the unit can accept hair length of 4-8 inches. The longest of the hairs in this pictures is 3 inches, so the job in question should have been well within the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Upon reassembling the base the unit promptly got jammed a second time. After once again removing the clog I decided to give it a different task, cleaning hardwood. This unit has a key feature for those with hardwood floors, its’ brush can turn on/off, saving your hardwood from being scratched by the roller.

Sadly there is very little suction (see video attached). I found without the brush roll spinning the machine picks up essentially nothing. The last major feature this unit is its’ heavily marked “pet hair eraser” attachments.

The Pet Turbo Eraser” is nothing more than the same “turbo brush” or “handi-mate” that has been commonplace on vacuum’s since the 1950’s. The “two in one” pet brush is a traditional fabric brush as is the crevice tool.

There is nothing fundamentally different with these attachments than what is industry standard from most vacuum suppliers. I’ve had Bissell units before, the last being the significantly cheaper “Clearview Alergen Lift-Off Pet Upright Vaccuum.

” It lasted 2 years before dying a few weeks after its warranty expired precipitating the purchase of this Turbo model. All in all a poor vacuum. Don’t buy this.

I LOVE this vacuum. I’ve had it for about 5 years now, I use about 2 times a week. I love all the accessories that came with it. Especially the pet hair attachment. It can’t hold all the accessories that came with it.

I just use a container in the closet to hold the extras I don’t use very often. Everyone in my family including my dog has short hair but I do not. It is my hair that tangles most vacuums. I never had a problem with hair tangles on the brush.

Even if I did, there is plenty of space to get a seam ripper or scissors in and cut the hair away with no issue. I did notice when vacuuming hard surface floors there was a bit of blow back, but it wasn’t much; certainly not a deal breaker unless you are only cleaning hard surfaces.

The belt being 1/3 of the way onto the head, leaves a strip of un-vacuumed floor. However if using a tight V pattern this would not be a problem. I maintain it about ever 2 months. Wash the canister, the filters, the hose, clean the head, there usual spots that get dirty.

It’s easy to maintain, probably why the work horse is still going. I’ve only recently noticed the motor sounding odd. My repair guy says it’s still alive and kicking but to repair it will cost more than a new vacuum.

Take off the end attachment- leave only the hose exposed and the flexibility of the hose allows it to get to some of the tight spaces-also gives a direct carpet contact which you can also kind of scrub with it.

Great suction! This exact model has been around at least 36 years and I have loved it the whole time!! Quality product-10 stars for use as a carpet edger or car vacuum. Holds up to the wear and tear of new home construction cleaning on a per daily basis (old family business).

Pros: Excellent suction for a small vacuum. Long cord. Lightweight Uses a bag Cons: Arrived with a kinked hose I wanted to replace my small canister vacuum that I had for over 20 years. It had great suction but it was bagless and I hated cleaning out the disgusting filter.

I spent a long time researching and reading reviews for small canister vacuums. I liked the weight and features of the might mite but was hesitant because of reviews that said the hose kinks. I decided to take a gamble and order it anyway.

Unfortunately, upon arrival, my hose was kinked when I pulled it out of the box! I was so disappointed! They did eventually replace it and I absolutely love my new vacuum, but just be aware that the hose can definitely kink.

I would have given this vacuum 5 stars had it arrived the first time with a working hose.

I own a Miele which is good for hard floors and needed a vacuum for the carpets on top. I made the mistake of buying based on my prior experience with Eureka. This doesn’t work on carpeting. It is basically a hardwood floor sweeper that was rebranded as a vacuum.

In addition, the suction from the opening on the handle pinched the skin my hand while I was using it and left a bruise. I stopped using it and regret the purchase.

This is an amazing vacuum. The Shark Navigator light upright vacuum is the best budget Shark vacuum for small to mid-sized rooms. It has the same suction power as the advanced units and cleans well for both carpet and hardwood floorings.

The only negative about this product is that it does not contain a HEPA filter. Other than that, the vacuum performs admirably and it definitely feels light enough to transport to different areas of the home.

I believe that this product is built durably and will last for many years to come. Cleanup is a breeze using this product and I definitely enjoy the large container for trapping dirt and other particles.

The blue color scheme is masculine and has a sleek styling. I love this vacuum cleaner because it does the job well and it definitely is my cup of tea. I love Shark and want to sincerely thank the manufacturers for making such an excellent product!.

I would have given this 5 stars, but there are some design flaws. #1 The onboard tools are constantly falling coming off. #2 the hose design is frustrating, if you don’t twist the handle just so, the entire vacuum falls over.

#3 they could have added 3-5 extra ft on the power cord. All this would have been a huge negative but this vacuums sucking power saved it. This thing SUCKS & never clogs. Hard floors, carpet CHECK! It is lightweight and easy to use.

Also easy to empty the canister. Yes I’d recommend for a lightweight.

I just started using this Shark Wandvac Cirdless Vacuum and I love it. I usually use a Vacuum With a cord and Vacuum bag for My regular house cleaning but After using this Shark Vacuum I am not going back.

I love The Vacuum cleaner it has great Suction and is very easy to push And move around the room. It Picks everything up including Dog hair. The rollers are self Cleaning so the hair dies not. get stuck in the rollers and needs to Be cut loose.

I absolutely LOVE this vacuum. I have nothing negative to say about it and it is now my go-to vacuum. It is SO easy to assemble and it’s super easy to change configurations and different accessories.

If I can do it, anyone can!! I love how lightweight and maneuverable it is. It’s easy to use under a table, stand or couch. I also love how many different configurations you can use like a full vacuum, a hand vac, or the hand vac with the extension wand.

It’s also very easy to empty the hand vac dirt cup. I also absolutely love how easy it is to attach to the charging base which then empties into the base automatically. When attached to the base, it automatically charges the vacuum or if you don’t want to charge every time, just detach the hand vac which can be stored on the vacuum itself.

It’ also really easy to take the battery out of the hand vac section if you need it out for any reason. It’s as simple as can be to open the filter sections to clean the filters as well as taking out the dirt cup that’s in the base so you can empty that.

It’s honestly the easiest/best vacuum I’ve ever used and makes a great vacuum for quick jobs or to give to a college student or someone who just needs to clean up quick and easy jobs. This vacuum cannot get any easier to use! I highly, highly recommend it to everyone! I would buy a ton of these if I had the need for them!!.

Easy to assemble. Good power for this light weight vacuum cleaner, easy to go under surfaces, not noisy at all and I didn’t have to wait too long for full battery. The only comments I have is that when putting the dust container to the handle it can get a bit tricky.

I also would have preferred the motor head to be a bit bigger. Be sure you clean the roll from the motor head because you will be surprised how much stuff it picks up, I mean strings, hair, etc. one of the pictures shows to use scissors for this.

All instructions are clear with pictures for easy understanding. Overall I’m happy with the purchase.

We have two of these stick vacuums now and they are awesome. I wanted this one because the head was slightly narrower than our other one and it also has a couple of LED headlights on it which I wanted to use in our camper especially in closets and underneath the cabinets since the lighting in the camper isn’t that good.

I mounted the charging dock in the closet out of the way and it’s nice and secure in there going down the road. I haven’t done a runtime test but it’s easily enough to vacuum the floors and our carpets and any other surfaces we need in our camper.

The standard mode works pretty good for loose and light dirt but I tend to run it mostly on the boost or the turbo mode as that seems to have the best suction. There are no bags to deal with and it’s easy to empty the waste container.

They even send a little clean out brush and an extra air filter! This is one green little cordless unit!.

We already had a Dyson DC41. But we were looking for something light weight and battery powered to use in a pinch for hardwood floors, stairs, car, and underneath cabinets. This vacuum is perfect! In a word, it’s really versatile.

Can use it as either a stick or a hand vacuum. Has edge and brush attachments. Has two rollers for both hardwood and carpet. Good maneuverability to get to hard to reach places. Low profile allows us to get underneath cabinets.

Good on stairs. Light weight, so easy to carry up and down stairs. Battery lasts over 15 minutes. Good suction, especially on hardwood floors. Doesnt do as well as the Dyson on carpet, but thats not what we bought it for.

Switching attachments requires two hands. And emptying the canister and connecting to the battery takes some getting used to. But overall its a great value and does what we wanted it to do.

I previously had a regular sized lift away Shark vacuum at the house where I was living at the time and was really impressed with it. I now live alone in an apartment and have used a Shark robot for a few years, which works great and I still use today.

But after recently getting my cat a new litter box that I have in a walk-in closet, she now likes to sling litter around more than she used to. So I started looking for another vacuum cleaner to help out, and after some research I decided on this one.

And I honestly just don’t get some of the reviews. It’s lightweight, isn’t loud AT ALL for a stick vac, and has really good suction and does a great job on my carpet, rugs, and hardwood floors. I actually wanted a corded vac because I was afraid a cordless wouldn’t have as much power, and I also didn’t want to ever have to stop in the middle of cleaning, regardless of the power.

But this one has plenty of power and is quieter than other vacuums I’ve used in the past. there’s nothing abnormal about the sound of it like some have stated. On carpet mode (High) it does sometimes almost feel self-propelled, but that only makes it pick up more when you pull it back.

It’s nothing overwhelming. And one thing that’s really small, but I noticed and love, is that the power cord comes out of the unit in a straight up position instead of downward. I’ve noticed this keeps it out of the way and I don’t need to constantly hold it the entire time.

something really helpful that I’ve never thought about before. And it IS self standing when stored away. simply just press the button to detach the handle portion and hang it on the clip on the lower front of the unit.

It only takes a split second to do and I’m not sure why some of the folks are having a stroke over that in some reviews. You really shouldn’t expect a stick vac to stand up on its own, that’s how they’ve always been made.

There’s some that do, but it comes at a cost in performance, which I’d personally rather avoid. So if that’s a deal breaker for anyone, I wouldn’t suggest you buy a stick vac period 🙂 Overall I’m very pleased with this vac.

It cleans really well with great suction on carpets and hardwood, with a slower setting for hard floors if preferred. It’s easy to maneuver around and under furniture, the cord stays out of your way, it keeps suction with the attachments connected working great on furniture, and it stores standing up while talking up very little space.

That checks all the boxes for me.

As a long-term rental manager, and now short-term rentals manager of 25 y and having had many kind of vacuums, I say: This is the best vacuum I came across in decades! I should have purchased this earlier.

This little Shark saves me hours monthly / days yearly of work. A lot of sand in the beach condo: versatile nozzle and strong sucking power pick up all dirt (incl. beach sand). Picks up all dirt, even along the edges without having to exchange attachments like I had to with the TWO prior vacuum cleaners.

I have tile and carpet in one room, and neither prior vacuum cleaners did both jobs well, but this little Shark does both easily. I love that you can switch Carpet/Tile setting right at the handle that you are holding anyway already.

I also like how easy it is to empty the cup. The cup is small and not wieldy or clunky. So easy to just empty after every use. Furthermore I like that the air blows from the top of the stick from the hand held and not at the bottom like some other vacuum cleaners do that then blow up dust and spread dust around the floor.

The Shark does not blow dust around with the exit air. The only small criticism I have, is that the handheld part that you can put the attachments on, should also work without attachments. And obviously, it does suck dirt, but it leaves skid marks on the white vinyl of the hurricane windows or on the grey tiles.

That trait forces you to put an attachment on the black tube to avoid that. I wished the material of the black tube at the end was different so that it wouldn’t leave skid marks and I wouldn’t have to put on an attachment purely to avoid that.

Regardless, this is still the best vacuum cleaner I ever had. And it’s light enough that some guests I notice, take it upon themselves to do their own vacuuming which they don’t have to do. Oh, one more plus, it goes all the way under the bed.

You don’t have to move the bed to get all the dust from under the bed.

I’ve had this vacuum for a year now and I’m giving it a bad rating because I’ve had problems after problems. It over heats and can burn you while discarding trash if you are not carful. I thought it would be a great vacuum since my husband is native and he has long hair and I also have 2 dogs with longer hair.

The hair would always get stuck and needed cleaning after every session! It’s advertised as “No hair wrap” I’ve had lots of hair stuck around mine. I only use this for my marble tile floors, my master bedroom and an area rug in my living room.

I’m shocked that it didn’t take much for the vacuum to begin giving me problems. A few months ago I got a warranty exchange because the vacuum eventually did not want to power on at all, or sometimes would not power off unless unplugging.

I used the warranty vacuum about 3-5 times and it’s already giving me the same issues. Overheating after about 5 minutes of use, resulting in the vacuum shutting down. I tried the attachment for upholstery on my couch and the inside brush would not even roll to pick up any hair/debris and had barley any suction.

Once again I called SHARK customer service and they are requesting more money to send another vacuum. At this point I was deeply disappointed and upset as this vacuum was not cheap! I really did not want to invest more money into it so Im left with this vacuum that does not even work properly.

Attaching the hose back onto the main body is awkward. It requires you to turn the hose around which takes time. Hair on brush is difficult to remove Hair builds up on the sides of the head while sweeping instead of being sucked in.

At least 4 steps. ! It is awkward but easier after doing several times – V11 Dyson much quicker Rotation of the head left and right on the floor took a while to get used to because it turns quickly. It tends to pull when turning.

Did side by side comparison with a V11 Dyson and Dyson won hands down for ease of use.

Amazingly simple unboxing experience! The packaging was just enough to protect the vacuum and is easily removed. A big plus for me is being able to package it quickly for transportation, without the use of additional repackaging instructions.

Although I’d prefer having those included in the package. I love the removable battery—it’s quite practical I can charge it outside the vacuum. Unfortunately, batteries are not available for sale at this moment.

For a vacuum of roughly € 730 I‘d also expect a second battery to be included. The attachments are very useful and I don’t miss anything. If you compare the Lupe with the Dyson system, it’s a minimalistic set, which I prefer over dozens of slightly varying attachments.

The vacuum stands on its own, even though it is a bit wonky, so better be careful not to topple it over. I’m sort of clumsy and wouldn’t deduct any points here. The Lupe performs well on the high setting, but I often find it a bit weak on the low/regular setting.

Battery life isn’t great on high intensity, but this is not different from other cordless vacuums of similar size and price. I’m not entirely convinced by its performance when it comes to vacuuming corners or just along the wall.

The cleaner head’s design doesn’t allow for air intake at the front/the sides. So, you’ve got to use the crevice tool to be able to clean closer to the wall. Something my cost-efficient corded Miele can do effortlessly.

I wish Lupe offered an alternative cleaner head, perhaps this will become an option in the future. I also wish the hose were different—less likely to spring back to its original shape as well as slightly longer.

I find myself quite limited by its length when using the attachments; having to lift the vacuum while trying to get into a corner/tight spot is not ideal. Lastly, the customer service is very responsive and has been helpful when I contacted them for an RMA.

I decided to give the vacuum another chance though, so hopefully I’ll grow to love it. Otherwise, the German marketplace doesn’t seem to be aware of Lupe yet, so I’m not sure how high the resell value is at this point.

An amazing vacuum cleaner so far! I love how compact and powerful this vacuum cleaner is. I can store it in a small cupboard and when I need it, I just pull it out, press the power button and it is good to go.

It just makes life so much more convenient! I no longer need to worry about plugging in and unplugging the power cable as I move around the house. The battery is great, my place is not that big and I light vacuum once every 2 to 3 days, I charge it around once a week.

I never really got to use the max setting on it, as the default setting (medium) is good enough for everyday use. The vacuum cleaner comes with all the accessory you need (well, I need anyway), so I don’t have to worry about paying extra in the future for extra parts.

With that said, it is not a cheap purchase, even with the £200 discount, it is still £500, sitting at the high end/premium price point. Don’t get me wrong though, it is indeed a premium product, as far as I can tell.

It feels great to use it and is more powerful than my previous corded vacuum cleaner, which I owned for years and thought it was really good enough. It is also advertised that most, if not all, the parts can be replaced if broken, which adds on to its value.

One minor down side, and it happens to most of the other vacuum cleaners I have used as well, is that long hair tend to get tangled up on the brush. It does not seem to be affecting its performance and I was able to remove them rather easily.

So, if you are interested in a cordless vacuum cleaner, with powerful suction and battery life, and have the budget for it, I would definitely recommend Lupe! Aside from its performance, it is also a nice looking device (in my opinion).

I have not tried any other cordless vacuum cleaners with the similar price point on the market, so I won’t able to make any meaningful comparison. And I hope the unit is reliable enough and will last longer enough to justify its cost.

So I’ve had this vacuum for a few weeks now and wanted to get a handle on it prior to giving a review. First I own a 1100sqft home with real hardwood floors and have two cats. Pet hair clean up is a very big deal for me.

That being said I adore the pet hair attachment, it does a 10/10 job on the couch chairs and rugs, even the cat trees. I also frequently use the “detail” attachment. Just like all cordless vacuums it eats batteries if you want more suction, not the worst fault.

The two cons about this vacuum has to be the container holding the dust doesn’t have the best seal so sometimes when going to dump it dust falls out prior to opening the container(still minor flaw in design I can live with).

The most disappointing part is the floor sweeping head, I can honestly say it sucks(not in the way it’s suppose to either). It clogs up easily and drags hair and dirt around, I don’t even attempt to use it on the rugs (which aren’t thick or fuzzy, they are flat outdoor style ones) it creates an even bigger mess.

I’ve found using it on top suction I get the best results but it’s still ify. Overall I really like the vacuum I just hate the floor sweeping attachment, it needs to be a new better design it’s truly disappointing given how everything else is amazing.

OMG, what can I say. I really like everything about this stick vacuum. After purchasing one for my 5-Star Airbnb rental cabin I had to get one for my home as well. Extraordinarily Powerful, versatile, easy to use, easy to clean, very well thought out implements/attachments.

An all around well-balanced unit with complete functionality. I have many many many many many Greenworks Tools products and love every single one of them. I have also referred them to many of my friends, family and guests.

I will continue adding Greenworks products to my collection. For those of you thinking about converting from gas driven equipment… Just convert already. And this is the company to convert to. You won’t be disappointed.

Greenworks Tools also very much stands behind their products. I’m thinking if you at least try just one of their products you will be hooked and a lifelong customer as well. I’ve got their vacuums, blowers, chainsaws, Pressure Washer, weedeaters, mower, tillers/cultivators and more.

Really cannot speak highly enough about any of them. They are all so very impressive. As I’m sure you have read… I am pretty loyal to this company. With good reason. You will be too. Oh, and their customer service and support… Outstanding!.

This is a pretty standard cordless vacuum and we bought to replace a handheld Dyson whose battery went to junk. I do like the hanging stand that holds all of the attachments. When it comes to the vacuum though I do not understand why they give you variable speed options.

I think this is a marketing gimmick so they can brag about higher runtimes (at low-power) and additional features. We always use high speed for everything, which is about the same power as the 10 yr old Dyson it replaced.

With the 4ah battery included, we get about 15 min run time. The main reason we got this model is because I already own about 5 24volt batteries and a large portion of the 24 volt power tool line from Greenworks so we always have full batteries and swapping is easy.

If I were buying a cordless vacuum, I would buy one that I already have batteries for as you will need several batteries to do any cleaning with it. I would add that Greenworks has always stood by their products whenever I had any issues in the past.

My husband bought this Clearview to replace an almost identical Electrolux that died after two years. It has been a trooper. I will never again own a bag vacuum. I have been spoiled with how easy it is to disassemble and clean this vacuum.

I have had it completely reduced to spare parts and reassembled easily. I have taken scissors and cut my very long hair out of the roller. I have washed every part of the interior in the sink. I damaged a part when I dropped it from a high distance and finding and replacing the repair part was easy.

It is now discontinued but if I need another I will buy the model closest to this Clearview.

Do NOT buy this vacuum cleaner. If it could be rated 0, that’s what it would have got. (Summary: ours broke before we’d owned it for two years, and it can’t be repaired. We have a James hoover that we bought over a decade ago and it’s still going strong.

Buy them instead. ) We bought a Jet 90 Pet in September 2020. We did a lot of research into which cordless vaccum to buy, as we wanted to get something that would work well and last a long time. The Jet 90 seemed well-reviewed so we decided to save up for it.

It was much more expensive than most of our homecare purchases but we were confident it would last. We’d had it for fewer than two years before the cleaner broke. It had been handled all that time with proper care, as we wanted it to last.

Despite that the motor came away from the handle, in a way that seems to me as if it was a case of poor manufacture, or even built-in obsolescence. I contacted Samsung customer support and was informed that I would have to send the cleaner to Manchester for repair, at our expense.

(I asked to be called back by a Samsung customer service manager as I wanted to complain about the quality of the item. It was arranged for a call to be made to me. I didn’t receive a call when the set time came.

I did, however, get a call two days later than arranged, during my work day, when I couldn’t answer. This hasn’t made me feel more positively inclined towards the company. ) I took the cleaner to a local repair shop to see if it could be repaired but we’ve been informed that the nature of the break – the motor coming away from the handle housing – means that this isn’t possible.

Bottom line – though I was pleased with it at first I cannot now recommend this product at all, and will not be buying Samsung products again in the future. This was one of the most expensive items we’ve ever purchased and two years later it’s completely useless.

(By contrast a James hoover that we bought over a decade ago is still working fine. I’d suggest going to them, if you want something that’ll last. ).

I don’t normally write product reviews, but I’ve been so happy with this vacuum I’ve decided to take the time to do so. I didn’t get the Jet expecting it to replace my current “drag along” vacuum, but rather as something easy to get out quickly to clear up spills and such.

After having the Jet for a few weeks now, I’ve been amazed at how good it is. I have stopped using my old vacuum completely!! I was sceptical about how good the suction could be on something that weighs so little, but I was wrong to be.

The suction is so powerful I rarely need to use full power mode! I was doubtful if the battery would last long enough for me to vacuum downstairs or upstairs in one go, but it can almost do both! The whole vacuum has obviously been well thought out during the design process as the Jet is comfortable to use when vacuuming as it doesn’t require a trigger to be held in continuously as I’ve seen when looking at other brands.

The maintenance is also simple as the bin is easy to remove and can be completely washed (as can the filters). I can’t recommend the Jet 60 highly enough, my only regret is not getting it sooner.

I bought this unit to replace a 20 some year old unit primarily because the small tool rack had broken off. This is a nice unit that has plenty of suction, is relatively light weight, and does the job it’s intended to do.

I only wish Oreck would come up with a better tool rack. As designed, a couple of the tools tend to fall off anytime that end of the unit is tilted downward which can be annoying when one of them falls under foot.

The old unit had the same problem. I hoped the new one would be better but it is about the same. Also, I could find the bags on your website but not the filters. I had to go to another site to find them.

That makes absolutely no sense to me.

Bought the Oreck canister vacuum, BB1200, to replace my 16 year old Oreck canister which up and died unexpectedly, may she rest in peace. She served me well. Great improvements in 16 years! There is an on board caddy for 3 attachments and a place to wrap the cord on the bottom of the vacuum.

There is also a replaceable hepa filter! I also like the black color of the vacuum. My old unit was white always looked dirty. Looking forward to many years with my new vacuum. I love Oreck quality and dependability.

I also have a 16 year old Oreck upright that still serves me well. I recommend this vacuum 100%!!!.

We currently own a Dyson stick vacuum and while it is ok it does not even come close to the power of our upright 15 year old Oreck XL vacuum cleaner. At the time of purchase you got the handheld vacuum for free.

Our Dyson is good for one thing only. Vacuuming carpets and its so easy to use however as far as cleaning power it is terrible for everything else. The handheld vacuum really has some power and I would have though over the years that this would have been copied by other companies.

Using for 15 years the compact is still going strong. Buy this handheld cleaner now!!.

I always used Bissell canisters for the easy conversion and parts sharing between machines(since we use them a lot). As Bissells age, the motors naturally get a bit less efficient, and that’s expected.

The Bissell Zing was a huge mistake. I had to duct tape all of the extension hose connections just to use it at all. Now I can’t use it for small crevice jobs unless I rip it all off and retape constantly.

It needs a click and lock function on the extension adaptors. It may not be as much of an issue as it ages and it can’t lift a cotton ball, but new, it has suction that rips the plain plastic extensions that attach the heads, off onto the floor.

I’m going to go with a more pricey manufacturer now. This Green thing is going in the garbage. I had a feeling the price was too good to be true. If you have a roll of duct tape and never plan on using the extensions and only use floor head, or never plan to use extensions and floor head, it will be fine for you and has great suction for that.

If you need to ever use the floor features, it may be irritating and require taping. OH LOOK, MADE IN CHINA. Now everything makes sense.

Got this because my wife loves purple. No greater reason to buy a vacuum cleaner than the color. It works great on non-carpeted floors but is impossible to move on carpet. Good thing it’s for a home without carpet.

Everything works fine except the hose falls apart. You are vacuuming away and suddenly the head is on the floor and you are pushing an incomplete hose. I fixed that with a piece of masking tape around the top of the head piece.

Shouldn’t have to gerry rig a new vacuum in my opinion.

Powerful vacuum, almost too much on carpets (you need to let air in with the controllable nozzle to avoid pulling everything). The only major flaw in the design is that the tube attached to the canister does not freely rotate.

This means that if you make a turn, you may end up squeezing the flexible tube and it is not easy to readjust easily. It can be frustrating because you need to make sure the tube is always coming straight from the canister.

The other small issue is that the cable could be a few feet longer. Otherwise, quite happy for the price.

I tried a Eureka cordless vacuum in the past and the battery took over 12 hours to charge for just 15-20 minutes of vacuuming power, with the suction power being extremely light.

I also had a cordless vacuum by Puweike which constantly fell down because I didn’t mount the stand against the wall as I had mostly dry wall in my place. I prefer cordless vacuums because even though the corded vacuums owned by Hoover and Oreck offer more power, they are a pain to move from room to room due to having to constantly disconnect and reconnect the cord.

The Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum addressed all of these concerns and offered some unexpected surprises. This vacuum took less than one minute to assemble with only two parts to put together. I only had to charge the battery for four hours until it was ready to use.

Upon charging it, I noticed the vacuum stands upright, so there is no need to add any mounted stand to the wall as it can be stored anywhere. I also love that I could turn on the brush roll on carpet and off on the hardwood to prevent scratching.

The suction is extremely powerful to pick up even the smallest crumbs and I couldn’t believe how easy it is to maneuver with the handle folding to get under the sofa. There is a huge bonus to this vacuum as well with the detachable middle which becomes a handheld vacuum for sofas and chairs.

Another bonus is the brush and crevice tool for corners and upholstery. The dirt bin is so easy to empty and put back in the vacuum as well. I would recommend the Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum to all my friends and family.

I got it on sale, plus I was able to use a 20% off coupon. At first I was hesitant, wondering how a stick vac this inexpensive could possibly be any good. I took a chance, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way! The battery life is excellent (battery has never died or even weakened while I’m vacumming), it has great suction power and its rotating brush sweeps up everything, the swivel head makes it easy to maneuver around furniture, it’s super lightweight, and the dustbin is easy to remove & empty.

I literally use this vacuum every day, it’s that easy & convenient. As a bonus, the main unit disconnects from the wand, giving you a lightweight hand-held vac for things like upholstery. I leave this vac on its charger when I’m not using it, so it’s always ready to go.

After years of using a clunky but very effective corded cannister vac with filter bags, this cordless stick vacuum is a dream! I liked it so much I bought one for my son’s college apartment; he likes it too.

Now I want to buy another one to have as a backup, but it is sold out of all the BB&B stores within 50 miles of me. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.

For the price, the PowerSpeed Turbo Pet Cord Rewind Upright Vacuum is a decent solution for home cleaning, but some design quirks left me scratching my head. This vacuum cleaner faces the same challenges of any other model or brand that uses a dry bag or paper filter.

Once the pores of the aforementioned filter begin to clog you lose airflow, and thereby, your cleaning ability. This is why the decision to include a “more suction” or “less suction” adjustment left me scratching my head.

Why would anyone ever want less suction and thereby less cleaning power? Speaking of the auction adjustment, this vacuum is like many others in its class, in that, it has a detachable wand for non-floor cleaning.

Head scratcher #2 is that fact that this wand has no locking mechanism to keep it attached to the main hose. It simply slides down onto the receiving end, which is easily dislodged during normal floor cleaning.

I had to reattach the wand several times during my first use of the vacuum due to this reoccurring. This is a major oversight in my opinion. The attached pet tool works well, as does the dirt collection chamber and retractable cord, all of which are positives for this model.

The positives don’t outweigh the negatives for me unfortunately. The lack of a locking mechanism on the wand is a deal breaker and a constant annoyance.

First off, I have a long haired and short haired cat, and a fluffy 2 coated dog. Needless to say I have a lot of fur in my house! I waited a few days to see just how much this thing could do, and I am pleasantly surprised!! I was able to do my while living room before emptying the canister! And most of the fur came out pretty easily.

I did need to open the top to get some that had wrapped around the inside, but that’s almost to be expected. The hose worked well, although I’d like to have seen an extra tube to extend it other than the skinny furniture attachment.

It did decently along the edges, did still need to use the hose on the right side though. The power button is a foot pedal next to the unlock pedal, which is both good and bad. It seemed super powerful and moved relatively easy on my thickish but not long carpet.

It was easy to put together out of the box, and I love the extra attachments that all have a place to lock onto the vacuum. Overall, I’m pleasantly surprised and happy with this lightweight vacuum in terms of suction and ability to get pet fur up!.

I bought a 2nd hand Dyson a few years ago for $100 from a neighbor who upgraded hers. It’s done a good job but for the same if not cheaper price the Eureka PowerSpeed outperforms the Dyson. First off the weight alone is a game changer.

At 11. 5 pounds the Eureka is 10 lbs lighter than my Dyson. It’s not that I can’t handle carrying 20 lbs up and down 3 flights of stairs in my home, but when you eliminate 10 lbs. it makes a noticeable difference.

Next feature my Dyson doesn’t have the the wand tool. I’ve had previous vacuums with a wand tool and for cleaning out the car or the couch I’ve been using a shopvac. My shopvac has the same crevasse tool the Eureka does (Somewhere lost in the back of a closet) but the handle on the Eureka gives me a much better reach and much less hunching over.

Plus when I’m finished with the crevasse tool, it slips right back into it’s home on the vacuum vs. the back of a closet (I think). It doesn’t seem like it should make that big of a difference on paper or when comparing features of a vacuum online, but it’s kind of a game changer if I may be so bold to say so.

Head to head vs. the Dyson they suck the same. You know those 3am infomercials where they spread broken glass across a carpet then run the featured vacuum across sucking everything up, not missing a shard and then the spokesmodel walks across the carpet barefoot unharmed to the oohhhs and ahhs of the studio audience watching on? Well I didn’t do that.

I didn’t have a jar of marbles to suck up and my 12 lb. bowling ball is in the shop so I didn’t put it up to any abuse tests. I just want it to suck up dirt. And from what I can see in the canister, it’s doing just that.

I just recently vacuumed not too long ago so maybe it’s sucking up dust and dirt the Dyson has been leaving behind all these years. Finally, not only is the the Eureka half the weight of the Dyson, it’s also half as loud.

I could probably get away with vacuuming in the basement with my daughter sleeping upstairs in her 2nd floor bedroom. I could do a decibel test with the smartphone and do a comparison of the two but there’s too big of a chance I’d wake my daughter running the Dyson.

Then my wife would be mad at me and I’d erase the huge points gain I made by getting her a new lighter and quieter vacuum. Now to the men out there reading this, I don’t recommend buying your wife this vacuum for her Birthday or Christmas (And for the love of all that is holy definitely not for Valentines day).

Buy this for yourself and don’t even mention it to your wife. As soon as it arrives, go outside and use the wand attachment to clean out your car. Then maybe to show off, vacuum up all the stones, mulch, dirt and such you’ve been tracking in the house off the front steps and by the front door.

Once your finished you’ll capture the attention of your wife and she’ll ask you to do the rest of the house while your at it instead of watching the football game. Ok so maybe that’s not so much of a positive there but at the end of the day wouldn’t you much rather do the work with one lightweight vacuum instead of one heavy vacuum and one awkward shopvac? I dare say that’s a Eureka moment my friend.

I bought this to replace a Dyson stick vacuum so my comparison is to that. I use it mainly for wood floors throughout a kitchen, dining area, living room, entry, etc. but also for carpeted stairs and pet beds.

Things that it does better than the dyson: Way better suction and more power Obviously never runs out of battery And my personal favorite…it sucks up so much larger debris!!! My dyson struggled to get up anything bigger than a grain of rice and shot things in all directions if it was too big but this thing sucks up entire potato chips in an instant.

It has different power modes like a dyson but even on the lowest setting it seems stronger than the dyson on boost. Makes even super thick carpet look awesome (perfect for stairs) Things that might be better with a dyson: Dyson maneuvers ever so slightly better because it has the ball at the base rather than the wheels Dyson doesn’t “lock” into an upright position which I actually prefer Dyson is more stylish and space age looking It’s nice not to have a cord Overall none of the minor downsides even come close to outweighing the positives.

I so wanted to keep loving my dyson but even after trying a super expensive new model I just couldn’t love it. I wouldn’t use this to vacuum my entire house but I wasn’t using the dyson for that either.

If you’re looking for a good stick vacuum to do the high traffic hard floors, rugs, etc that are too tricky with a big upright vacuum try this. I can’t speak to how long it will last but hoping it can make it the two years my dyson lasted.

I’ve had this vacuum for 4 years. Here are my thoughts: PROS 1. Good suction, still finds dust and dirt and pet hair 2. Lightweight and really low profile so you can vacuum under things easily 3. Price is amazing for the quality 4.

No bags and all the filters I can clean out on my own and reuse. Huge cost and environmental savings. 5. Easy and fast detach / attach for getting corners and using the tools that come with it. 6. Dust bin opens easily and smart so I can hold it over the trash and won’t get dust everywhere.

Less messy to empty than others. CONS 1. Corded 2. Hose broke down in head where it bends and flexes as you vacuum, I noticed it at year 3. 5, so I had to replace that segment of hose (had holes/cracks in it).

I purchased a hose at Home Depot and found some instructions online. Overall it was moderately hard to replace. 3. Suction does not adjust when you vacuum over rugs like the expensive name brand competitor so I have to stand on one end to hold the rug down due to the suction wanting to pickup the rug.

4. Doesn’t sit upright, must lean against a wall when it’s not hanging on the wall given it is too heavy. If you pause during vacuuming to pick something up etc. the thing may fall down while leaning against the wall.

Takes a bit of experience to get the perfect, no-fall lean figured out.

I have been a Kenmore canister vacuum user my whole life because of their efficiency. I recently bought a house with no carpet and needed a solution for floor cleaning, but didn’t want to spend over $200 for a canister vac.

I was skeptical about how the Shark would clean floors because I was convinced that floor attachments work better. The Shark doesn’t come with such an attachment, but it works VERY WELL on floors and especially in CORNERS (which is where I had the most doubt).

It is lightweight and easy to use. It’s great on carpets too (I have area rugs with high pile and they get cleaned well). My only caveat with this vac is that it doesn’t suck well when pulling it backwards.

It only sucks well pushing it forward. And it doesn’t suck up larger/heavier pieces of trash such as leaves or small beads. My old canister would definitely suck up leaves and beads with no problem. But the Shark’s stick detaches easily enough to suck those items up with the upper hand piece itself.

Overall, its a great tool for my new house and I don’t have to buy vacuum bags anymore!.

I have a small apartment and was searching for a medium priced vaccuum of about the $250. 00 range when I purchased this item at an amazingly low price (less than $100. 00) thinking that it would be a loss but worth trying.

Not only has it turned out to be a spectacular performing vaccuum but I was amazed at how sturdily built it is. This is no thin walled piece of junk. I would say the it is better made than the last two disappointments I’ve purchased for twice to three times the price.

Even should it last only a year or two it would appear to still be a bargain as opposed to the last two that were definitely disappointing. I am not only pleased with it cleaning ability I am feeling rather smug that I took a chance and won.

I will admit that I purchased it open box and so expect it normally sells for slightly more but that just makes me feel even better for the purchase. Even at $125~$150 normal price I would still deem it a bargain.

As you can see in the photos I am still moving in but it has been filled and emptied maybe 8~10 times and performed flawlessly throughout that time. And I have much more carpeting arriving soon and am not worried in the least.

To start it’s a very quick and simple assembly. The collection cup (which is small) and vacuum unit disassemble for a handheld unit after the floor nozzle and stick are removed. It has a little filter inside the collection chamber that demanded constant emptying and it needed the dust tapped off way too often for me.

The unit makes a droning sound that changes to a higher pitch when it can no longer pick up debris. I bought it for use in a little room, but the sound was too painful to bear for long. I vacuumed a room by the hardest because much of the time was spent emptying it over a trash can.

It may be okay for vacuuming up toast crumbs or some other small amounts, but I’m disappointed overall –probably because of expectations. From the unboxing I felt like it was for use by an older child because of the diminutive size, and the limit of collection volume is depressingly small.

It can and does pick up the but of fur left when a cat departs a chair. However, this stick cannot accommodate “real world scenarios” like vacuuming a room every other day in my experience. Totally inadequate for me.

My impression is it’s some rinky dink, less than impressive unit. Still, I was glad to use it when a glass pot lid shattered on the stove.

Works great for the price. This does not have the power of a large vacuum, but its not something you can expect for how cheap it is. It works well, picks up cat hair and litter, but struggles with fibers that have been static electricitized to the floor.

You sometimes have to go over a spot a couple times for it to completely get cleaned up, but it does get the job done. It is not super loud which is nice. it is light weight and moves across the floor easily.

incredibly easy to clean and assemble. It can clean out relatively hard to reach places. It works better than I expected. If you spend more money on a different vacuum, it will outperform this one, but this one is great for a small home where you dont have much carpet or if you just dont have the money for a better one.

It still does what a vacuum does.

It seems that our family likes cordless stick vacs. They do seem to be very handy to have around for quick floor cleaning in between the deeper cleanings (when we use our canister vacuum), especially with our three cats.

We have been using two cordless stick vacs over the past three years, a Samsung Jet 70 Pet and another one from a big-name vacuum company. And since between the two we had, the batteries never lasted long enough on singe charges to get all the floors done, we decided to get another one.

Although I had mixed feelings about the Samsung Jet 70 (but we still use it quite a bit), I felt like giving the Samsung Jet 60 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum a try to see what improvements may have been made in the last couple of years.

The Jet 60 is Samsung’s current entry-level cordless stick vac model (with 70, 90, and Bespoke levels rounding things out), and the Pet version is the highest 60 version (well, of two, which it just includes more attachments), Overall, the design is pretty much exactly the same.

The only difference is the tube being a bit thinner overall on the new Jet 60 (just the outside, the inside is the same diameter). And the Jet 60 comes with a bit smaller, differently designed motorized brush head (the Jet Fit Brush).

I’m not sure what kind of a difference it makes, but the bristle rows are not angled as much. I do like the smaller design, and it is a bit quieter than the 70’s Turbo Action Brush, but the bristles use seem to get fur and (and my wife’s long) hair entangled around it more quickly (I had to remove and clean it just after the first time using it).

At least the way the roller is removed makes it very easy to get out and remove the fur and hair (slide a little lever on the side and it pops right out). It also comes with several accessories that can be used with or without the main 27″ tube: a long reach crevice tool (that extends another 6.

5″), a combination tool (sliding dusting brush), and a mini motorized tool. The mini motorized tool is still the same design as the older one, which I was hoping would be a little better this time around.

With the way it was designed, the rotating brush really doesn’t come in contact with the surface (it has some plastic guards). While it was eventually able to get most of the embedded cat fur in the cat trees (that they seem to spend a lot of time in), I had to use the Max section mode (more on the modes in a moment).

The motor is similar, but there may be some changes with it as the sound at the differeny suction levels are a little different pitch. At Mid, it sound a little quieter overall, but that may also be attributed to the different, smaller motorized brush head.

The power is still decent enough to get the dust and fur around, but as with most rechargeable vacuums, the higher the power level, the less time you have to run (more or later). There are two suction control buttons, to go between Min, Mid and Max, but there is no display to tell which mode is active.

The removable (which is still a plus) battery is still the same capacity (21. 6V/1. 6Ah) as the older Jet 70 (was hoping it would be at least a little more), and will last for up to 40 minutes, but when only running on Min and probably only hard flooring.

When running on Max and using the mini motorized tool, I found that it only ran for about 7-8 minutes. Mid will probably get about 15-20 minutes or so. Now, you could buy an extra battery to swap out, but for the price, I think waiting to recharge isn’t that bad.

The charging dock is wall-mountable and can keep two accessories attached. When mounted, you can place the whole vacuum head in to charge the battery, or you can remove the battery and charge it by itself (which could be handy if you do not have a place to mount the dock).

If not mounting, the accessory holder flips to the back so the charging dock on a table or counter and still store the two accessories. One thing I was hoping would be a bit better this time was the packaging protection around the motor head, but unfortunately, I was still disappointed.

There was still no protection of all the parts on all sides. Just imagine sitting an object in a bowl and placing it in a box where when the box lid was closed, it is touching the object with no other support around the top.

That is basically how it is (and was) packed. I could see where the dust bin was rubbing against the outer box panel, but luckily it was not damaged more during shipping. While this isn’t quite the one to clean an entire house (unless you live in one of those mini houses you see on TV), if you need a cordless quick vac to do some quick cleaning, this is definitely one to consider.

The Samsung Jet 60 Series is Samsung’s entry level stick vacuum. For an entry level model, it shares the same 5-Layer Filtration system and 0. 8L dust bin capacity found in their higher end models, it attaches the same crevice and combo tool, and it even has a detachable rechargeable battery.

The similarities end here, with the Jet 60 providing up to 40 minutes of runtime between charges with a smaller battery, paired with a 150W suction motor. That being said, we find ourselves using this much more often than what we currently have at home because of one subtle but huge difference: it’s super lightweight.

Weighing in at a tad over 5 pounds, using the Jet 60 is one of the most effortless vacuums to use around the home. Moreover, the Slim Turbo Action Brush is an all-purpose motorized lightweight head attachment that can transition from hard floor to carpet and back without the need to swap out heads.

My current vacuum has both the soft roller brush head and the carpet brush head, but I do have to swap them out when appropriate; the Slim Turbo Action Brush is both of those things, and it works great overall.

And yes, it is very slim enough to get under couches and hard to reach places. The Jet 60 Pet variant comes with the Mini Motorized Tool to help remove fine dust and pet hair on furniture, typically where I find my cats hanging out.

It has little issues clumping and removing my cat’s dander as there is lint remover material alongside the roller brush to further help the removal of unwanted dander stuck onto furniture. The Jet 60 is not bright and fancy; it doesn’t tell you what speed setting you’re on, it doesn’t tell you how much runtime you have left…it doesn’t tell you anything, to be honest.

The only indicator you have is the 3 blue led lights on the battery itself that tell you how much battery life is left. And quite frankly, that’s okay. After using the vacuum for some time, you’ll know how much runtime you’ll have to clean your entire home relative to what power level you use.

Charging the Jet 60 requires that you wall mount its base to your wall, high enough for the wand to clear the floor. I for one am not a big fan of wall mounting my vacuum to the wall, so for now I remove the battery from the main unit and attach the charge base.

If you’re not a wall mount vacuum kind of person, then this vacuum is probably not for you. The Jet 60 is one of the louder stick vacs that I own at home, especially at max settings. It’s not obnoxiously loud, but it has that higher whistling sound overall.

My home is mostly hard floors accented with low pile area rugs, and this vacuum really has no problems cleaning these areas daily. But with those folks with high pile rugs, I can see this vacuum not performing well as you probably need stronger suction.

The Jet 60 does have a max suction setting, but you’re not going to break 10 minutes of runtime at this setting. I would think any stick vacuum would underperform more often than not in these situations and a plug-in vacuum would be best.

So if you’re like me and have a similar home setup, then I recommend you give the Jet 60 Pet a try.

Samsung – Jet™ 60 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum review is mixed for me. It came in a nice sturdy box and was packaged pretty well except the main unit should have been protected by Styrofoam or bubble wrap to protect it instead of thin wrap.

The 4 accessory pieces were all individually packaged in plastic bags protected under cardboard. So let’s start with the instructions – how do you use this, charge the battery, mount the charger, put it all together… well that part for me was not good at all – a picture guide that was difficult to follow.

Thankfully there are a few QR codes and verbiage following the picture guides – should have put the verbiage and QR codes first, and the picture guide within or following – backwards if you ask me. Anyway, I figured it all out while grumbling and using a few of the QR short videos to get started.

You have to charge the battery about 2 hrs for a full charge, and then it only lasts between 20-40 minutes. You can use the wall mount piece and fold the attachment holder to make a flat surface to charge the battery, or you can actually mount that piece to the wall and charge from there.

Which leads me to this…. The wall mount option is nice only if you actually have a place on wall with an electrical outlet near the area! I don’t so that is not going to work for me, and I like to stand my vacuums up in my utility closet – that is not happening with this vacuum because it doesn’t actually stand on its own! That is a big CON for me with any vacuum – it needs to stand on its own! The Dustbin and filters are easy enough to disassemble to clean, however they are small – as this is a smaller cordless vacuum.

It fills up quickly with cat hair when vacuuming our family room and is more difficult to use in this room as there is a higher pile carpet here. The bedrooms have a low pile so it is easier to maneuver there, as it is on the bare floor areas.

So, this is a small lightweight cordless vacuum that is good for smaller areas – for a backup cordless or corded vacuum. It is not as good as another branded cordless vacuum that I own and love, and the price is higher than others on the market that I think are much better.

I would ONLY recommend it to someone who doesn’t care about price point but wanted a vacuum that can be hung on a mount in a laundry room and mainly used for smaller areas. This is not something I feel would be a great “main” vacuum.
