20 Best Lightweight Stroller For Toddler (2023 Updated)

Exactly what I was looking for. Needed an umbrella stroller for my toddler for larger kids, made well so it wasn’t flimsy, and can withstand abuse. This is that stroller. Did a bunch of comparison research and found this one to be most reasonably priced and highly reviewed.

Very easy to maneuver and use. Decided to order straight from the manufacturer to make sure I got the best quality item and if there was any issues in the future I had a direct line of contact instead of 3rd party.

we got it as a second stroller for everyday life and trips (groceries, short weekend trips, travelling etc). it looks great – light, high quality, good desing. My at first year of use we exchanged it twice under the warranty as brakes had broken ( it was free and good custmer support) but after couple times on real vacation ( airport, beach, full time use) we got problems of folding and unfolding every time we used it.

It feels like it got rosty but its not. So after 2 year of use, it is almost imposible to take it from the trunk unfold and put your baby there. And we are expecting second baby on the way, and i would love to re-use this stroller as its super light weight, and would work well after c-section but i can’t rely on it.

It gives me problem any time i’m trying to unfold it. so i am forced to look around and search for a new light-weight travel stroller that would work with my infant car seat. Would NOT recommend MINU® by UPPAbaby® Stroller for a new purchase if you need it for regular use.

Pros: -super duper compact, -lightweight, -easy to fold, -suspension on front wheels make a super smooth ride, -leg rest to prop up the leggies, -decent sized basket underneath. -comes with car seat adapter -big sun visor Cons: -weird back rest makes my baby slouch all the time.

-the straps are hard to adjust, Overall: I’m super happy with this stroller. it fits in my sedan very well with tons of room whereas my full size stroller took up my entire trunk. Super smooth ride and easy to pop open.

It’s perfect for super petite moms like myself. The only I don’t like is the way my baby sits in it she slouches so bad and I don’t know how to fix it. I think it’s the split in the backrest to help with the campactness.

Pram feels sturdy. Folds neatly. Would be ideal if sun visor covered legs but covers face and arms well. Doesn’t quite fit in overhead compartment in plane, even with wheels off however you can store it under chairs infront quite easily.

For every day use at home in the city it’s great. The break is a little bit sticky but this is a minor problem.

I was torn between the Nano V2 and a similar travel stroller. similar dimensions, fold, maneuverability, recline, included travel bag, and price point. I had done A LOT of research and was left with these two contenders.

I felt like both products came extremely close to being the “perfect” travel stroller! My biggest issue with the Nano is the canopy. It is on the smaller side which is a major negative for me. However, I do feel that the available mesh sun cover can help make up for this shortcoming.

The BIGGEST issue I have with the canopy is the lack of a peekaboo window. It makes me uneasy when I can not take a glance at my baby while strolling with the canopy extended. I personally feel this can be a safety issue as you never know what these little ones can get into in a split second!! 🙂 I realize that if I am strolling with the seat reclined and the back “flap” rolled up, I will be able to peek in on my baby if I take a step back.

However, this will only be the case if my baby is napping. which is also when they need a little less “monitoring. ” On a much lesser scale, I would also prefer that the mesh ventilation covered the entire opening.

This is a personal preference, and I just feel more comfortable with complete closure. I also REALLY like an optional grab bar/snack tray and found one for the Nano V2 after a little research. I was VERY happy about that! However, I am not sure why I can not find it on the Mountain Buggy website.

With all this being said, I think the Nano is a fantastic travel stroller! I would LOVE to see Mountain Buggy make these improvements to the Nano’s canopy in the next round. extended coverage and MOST importantly, a peekaboo window, PLEASE!!.

Trying out the Graco SE Travel System, I was so impressed by the functionality of it and it was so convenient and easy to use it for both a car seat and a stroller, as well as have different options for the stroller! As a first-time mom, I am finding how important this multi-use function is for not only saving on space but saving money when you don’t have to buy multiple items.

My infant is 5 months old so we didn’t try out the bassinet of the stroller because she isn’t one that enjoys laying on her back much anymore. She loved sitting in the car seat though and that was really easy to click into the stroller.

She likes to look around a lot, so I had her facing outward mostly but sometimes changed it so that she was facing mama while we walked and I really enjoyed watching her that way. The stroller was really sturdy, much sturdier than another lightweight stroller I have.

I thought the sturdiness made for a smoother walk on the sidewalk but it was a challenge sometimes to “hop” the uneven parts (I essentially had to stop, put my foot on the lower bar to lift it, then go over the bump).

It seems like it is durable as well and really those are the most important things I look for in a stroller because you not only want it to last for awhile (we are aiming for daily walks!), but you want your little one to be safe while using it.

I loved that it had a big storage basket underneath with sides that went up far enough that I didn’t have to worry about things falling out. Probably my favorite feature was just the height of the handle on the stroller; I’m tall have found other strollers are just a little short on the handle.

I’m planning to travel this weekend with my little one and looking forward to testing out the car seat even more, as well as taking the stroller with us because it seems to be easily portable. The only downside I see so far is that my infant is tall (99th percentile for height) so I don’t see that she may be able to fit in the car seat for long because it doesn’t seem very big, but it is considered an infant car seat.

Another bonus to mention was the travel system was so easy to setup outside of the box and only took 10 minutes tops – important for us mamas whose time is precious! I would recommend this for anyone looking for convenience and durability.

You get the most bang for your buck with this stroller. We needed a lightweight travel stroller for our upcoming vacation and decided upon this one after researching many other travel strollers on the market.

These were my requirements…. we wanted first and foremost something under $100 since it was solely to be used for travel and did not want to spend more than that. We also wanted something that was lightweight, had a decent shade, storage, reclined and had a cup holder for my son since where we were traveling to was hot and wanted him to have access to his own cup.

This stroller checked all the boxes and had an additional cup holder space for parents at the top of the stroller which was hard to come by with other strollers in a similar price range. I also loved the belly bar since my son enjoyed pulling himself up independently to get a better view which was safe with the seatbelt on.

Also, we did not use it for this purpose, I believe it can fit a graco baby carrier in it as well to use as a travel system. The shade was deep for a travel stroller and the recline was decent though not as deep as a regular stroller and the storage may only hold a small diaper bag, but again this is a travel size stroller and not a full size so I was pleased with all this stroller has to offer.

Some cons that I could live with are the wheels are plastic so if you are planning on vacationing to an off road adventure you may want to look else where since it gets bumpy when not on flat terrain.

Otherwise if you’re traveling on city street and regular day to day flat ground this may be perfect for you. Another thing is the wheels stick and are hard to lock and unlock in a quick motion. You really have to push down with your foot to lock and unlock and the locking mechanism is small.

All in all, again best bang for you buck and I can see this stroller being used on many upcoming vacations.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I really don’t like lugging around a huge stroller when I have to take my kid out all by myself. I’m all about light and easy to use strollers. I guess it’s because I have a big toddler.

It’s super light (ONLY 13 LBS!) and I can open and fold the stroller with one hand. And my daughter really likes it! My favorite part is that the hood extends long so when my kids take a nap, they won’t be exposed to the sun too much!.

We purchased this stroller to run with our 3 and 1 year old. We were changing from our single Burley running stroller. The short of it is we can no longer run with this stroller. We tried on several occasions, and then the vibrations were overwhelming from two areas: the front wheel and the rear wheel lock.

We attempted to lock the front wheel, which made it much more difficult to run. We also ensured it was fully disengaged before trying to run without it locked. As soon as we would pick up speed the wheel would vibrate constantly.

We tried on several occasions, and even tried shifting some weight a bit to see if that was it. I also tried adjusting my grip and positions on the handle. The vibrations continued. This led to several runs where I ended up having to walk home.

We initially liked the rear wheel lock (full bar across), until we realized it doesn’t stay in the unlocked position. It gradually slides down out of place and then starts to chatter against the teeth positions of the wheel locks.

We end up having to kick it up with our feet (only to have it fall back down), or tried to tie a strap to it so we could pull up from the handle. We also checked and adjusted the brake itself. No matter what we did, it continued to fall back down.

In the end, we can no longer use this as a jogging stroller. We’ve had too many runs where we get stranded out and have to walk home with it. It is a great stroller for walking.

Let me start by saying this stroller is BEAUTIFUL. Glides so smooth and is light weight for a double. Big but not huge and kids are super comfortable in it. BUT here are two things about the stroller that are a bummer but not a deal breaker.

1. There is no attachment for car seat adapter which kinda sucks cuz I bought this initially when we had a toddler and a newborn on the way thinking I could use it. when in fact I wouldn’t be able to use it until baby number two can sit up.

And #2 I don’t believe there is a snack tray option for this stroller either. again, not a deal breaker, I still love this stroller but it is a bummer considering how expensive this stroller is that there is not accessories available.

Over all, great stroller!.

Bought in Fall 2020. Loved the stroller, easy push, kids love it! In October 2021, one of the rear wheels started deflating on us while on walks. We just dealt with it and pumped it each day. I haven’t used the stroller much since then but to my surprise, took it out of the closet to take to Disney and in the airport on the way there we discovered all three tires were deflated and would not keep air in them.

We couldn’t hear a leak, couldn’t find a leak but constantly filled up the tires throughout the trip. I remembered reading a review about someone else with pretty much the same issue. I hope there’s a fix to this issue because we love the stroller!.

Sceptical but glad we took the plunge. The basket beneath is nice and roomy and the hood shades my little ones face when it’s sunny. You can tell it’s had lots of thought and design put behind it, even to the detail that the pushchair won’t tip up if there’s something on the handle bars.

The back pocket is also very useful for my phone and keys A couple of quibbles I had, was learning how to take it down and put up with a squirming one year old. And how the front wheels have to be straight to do so.

It isn’t exactly a one handed fold and is a little fiddly when you first use it, I had to watch a few YouTube videos to get the jist of how to make it easier on myself putting it up and down with ease.

But once you get used to how it works it is a very good stroller. Accessory wise, the Babyzen yoyo 2 doesn’t come with a rain cover, (I haven’t actually ordered one yet but I probably will) however the hood is claimed to have waterproof treatment.

It does come with a nice travel bag but we don’t really use this. You can buy many accessories for the Babyzen, which can rack up cost wise, but we’ll probably just get the buggy board for our eldest, along with a rain cover for when it’s needed.

We had a very expensive travel system before which was bulky but very reliable. we bought a cheap compact stroller to help save boot space on days out (which admittedly was easier to put up and down than the Babyzen, but was incredibly flimsy and wobbly) you do pay extra for the Babyzen but the quality behind it is noticeable in comparison to cheap alternatives.

Terrain wise, we live in the city, but we’ve taken it on woodland walks and across grassed areas with the dogs and it’s held up incredibly well. On flat even surfaces it really does feel very light and smooth and I quite often walk it one handed, which I haven’t been able to do with any other pushchair we’ve used.

Overall it is an incredibly stylish stroller, and if I knew about this pushchair when my first was born, we would have 100% bought a Babyzen yoyo with the added extras for a newborn.

So I debated over getting a yoyo2 for months!! Also contemplated between this, the joolz & the butterfly. Took the plunge at last and got this in the taupe colour. Mainly went with the yoyo as I preferred the design and the look the best.

I think it also has the most compact fold out the. Anyway the things I like: The colour, the basket, the zip pocket on the back was a winner for me, the size when folded and the carry handle is very comfy on the shoulder and weighs nothing! I like the newborn accessories you can get for it too which would be good if you go on to have another baby and want to purchase them! Things I don’t like: The seat doesn’t sit up enough in my opinion so baby is always slouched, the hood covers the face nicely but not enough protection from the sun on the rest of the body, could do with a larger/extendable hood, the fold does take some getting used to and mine seems to fling back open alot and I have hurt my finger a few times! The fact the add ones are all extras and not even included for the price like the raincover ect could at least come with it, one of my front wheels did start wobbling a lot on some tiled flooring in a shopping centre the second time I used it, the push is nice with one hand on flat surfaces but did struggle to even get across some stones/bumps! Don’t think it will work for me as a every day pram unfortunately! Is alot of money to just use for holidays.

Anyway on a whole that’s the reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars! I think it’s down to personal preference when it comes to prams! I have had alot of prams and have 3 children so I’m pretty fussy. It’s well made and does feel like it would last but I don’t think it lives up to the hype in my opinion and I did view them in shops first but I think you can only truly get a proper vibe after using a pram for a whole day out and about not just round a shop with nice flat flooring ect.

The Yoyo2 definitely doesn’t disappoint for travel. It’s light and folds up impressively small. It doesn’t unfold as easily as advertised (with one elegant motion…). Instead, wheels get swiveled and stuck and require being flipped around (Maybe I just need to practice my skillz.

). My large 17 mo old slouches down a lot in the seat, which in my view is a a design flaw, but since we are traveling a ton the pluses outweigh the minuses. It’s annoying that you have to pay $$$ for even the little foot rest thing, so that your kid’s little legs don’t dangle, not to mention rain cover and all the other add-ons.

(Universal rain cover we already had works just fine, FYI, tho a little big). Be sure to check which add ons work while it’s folded up if you do get them- the whole point of this thing is ease of fold and how small it gets.

Even with lots of bags it’s easy to hang it on your shoulder with the built in carry strap and haul onto the plane and into overhead bin. I wouldn’t gate check because it doesn’t feel that durable, honestly.

The storage space underneath is small but decent for a travel stroller. Don’t hang a bag on it- it will tip! The wheels are smooth except if you get moving fast even on a good concrete surface- then they can suddenly wobble like crazy.

Sun cover is a bit skimpy. Overall was a good buy for us for size and travel convenience on the plane etc. I do think it’s overpriced but there weren’t other options we thought would be better.
