20 Best Lightweight Oil For Hair (2023 Updated)

My hairstylist recommended this after I had a Brazilian blowout. I love this product and I have been using it everyday. It is very lightweight and doesn’t have an overpowering scent. I apply it during my wash days before blow drying and when I don’t wash my hair, I use it to tame frizziness and add moisture to my very dry and thick hair.

I haven’t even reached half of the bottle since I got this in September 2021 because you only need a little amount. The price seems steep at first but it will definitely last you a long time so it’s really worth it.

If I could give this 10 stars, I would! I’ve always had fine, slightly wavy hair but in my late 40’s, I’ve noticed my hair is thinning and becoming drier. I’ve been searching for a product to help smooth my hair without making it limp.

This is it!!! It helps keep my ends smooth and helps protect my hair from my dryer and flat iron. I use it with my salon grade shampoo/conditioner and cheaper brands with the same results. I just can’t say enough great things about this product! Totally worth the money!!.

This oil smells very light like candy but not overwhelming and just a light sweet scent that couldn’t possibly irritate even the most sensitive of noses. It has a few different oil ingredients that i haven’t heard of in other hair oils like kukui, apricot and sunflower oil.

This oil is so lightweight and meant to give shine and decrease frizz which is dies all the way. Its absolutely perfect for people with fine gaur just like myself. Even with the finest of hair couldn’t possibly use to much because that’s how lightweight it is.

It gives a a nice subtle but not greasy shine to lackluster strands. It’s a bit pricey but the bottle is a large size and will last you a long time nevermind the compliment if smelling good from my fiance.

I am very sensitive to fragrances so I try to buy products that either use no fragrances at all or all natural ingredients. To me, this oil has too strong of a fragrance for an everyday or all day use for me.

Furthermore, i have a lot of hair but it is very thin so really even a little bit of this product makes my hair look wet and oily. I did find a use for this product though. I use this as a full scalp/hair oil which I put on about an hour before I’m going to shower – then wash out completely and style normally.

I probably wouldn’t buy this again for the fragrance alone. Would consider buying a similar product if they came out with a fragrance free option.

I hated this product at first. It made me super oily looking, but that’s because I used too much. I have thicker, course, dry hair and three drops do it. It’s the only product after showering I use and it honestly doesn’t feel like you’re doing anything when your put it in your hair because the oil is so thin… but it IS.

It doesn’t weigh my hair down and my hair feels lighter and not course like usual. It smells amazing and using so little means the product is well worth its price. I never use products because they always makes my hair gross but this is the exception!!.

I’be tried all kinds of products for my daughter. She has 4c hair that doesn’t maintain moisture well unless it’s in a protective style. This product doesn’t define her curls, but when used during braiding, it keeps her hair mositurized longer and better than anything else.

When I take down her braids weeks later, her hair is soft, moisturized, and gorgeous. The price is nice too. I took away one star from quality because there are occasional bits of grit in the product, but they aren’t a big deal.

Let me start by saying I have curly, processed, yet very healthy hair and that is thanks to coconut oil! I understand its a big claim, but it will change your hair for the better. If you don’t already know, coconut oil is one of the few oils that can absorb right into the hair shaft.

This brings moisture and saves my hair. 15 Year ago when I was in high school I had the most beautiul hair thanks to coconut oil. I remember my girlfriends would see it in my vanity and poke fun at it (as they have never seen it) and it was foreign to them because it wasn’t advertised or publicized.

May I just say I rediscovered it recently and my hair is in the best condition of since that time! Buy it! This brand isn’t too bad although its not my favorite. Here’s how I use it: Rub it on ends an leave in overnight and rinse out in morning or (for the ultimate) Put a bit in a cup and heat in microwave, let cool, take a color applicator brush section hair and paint the oil right on your hair cover with cap or just let it sit (preferable ideal if your sunbathing), rinse, and then shampoo and condition.

You will love it!.

I use this everytime I wash my hair. After my hair dries it really dry and frizzy. I use a little bit because if you use to much your hair will become to oily. A little goes a long way. You can see in my pic how shiny my hair looks.

I purchased this product at my Aveda salon at the recommendation of my stylist. I have to say I do not like it, which is unusual as I love Aveda products. The smell was so strong and off-putting – I could only use a tiny bit, and even then, it was too strong.

I am also not a fan of the texture – too oily. For years I used light elements smoothing fluid – which I love, but I think Aveda stopped making it because I can’t find it in salons anymore. I thought the Nutriplenish hair oil would be a good substitute, but not for me.

I now have a full bottle I’m not going to use – will Aveda take it back?.

i need a light oil for finishing my light curls and this is perfectly light. It’s a great product for a refresh during the day, or after a wash day and the smell is fabulous – like all Aveda products.

I use the tiniest of amounts – the pump regulates really well so there is no waste. This will last me for ages. It’s an added benefit that it’s great for hydration which my hair needs. It can be used pre shampoo too, or as an overnight treatment.

A wee bottle packs a punch.

I am using this instead of smooth infusion smoothing fluid. I have had some issues with this product line breaking out my scalp along with my daughters I have curly hair depending on the weather. Its something but not as good as the old blue product.

This is a small bottle and its thick so its not as much as you think. Its heavy and makes the hair lay down. But its heavy looking after that. Bring smooth infusion line and especially the smoothing fluid back as its been so dry in SW that I try to not wash as often on my hair.

I bought this because a hair oil I used for years stopped being sold, and I used to love Moroccan oil in high school. I have very long hair (it’s at the small of my back and I’m 5’7″). It’s kind of a light-brown/dark-blonde with a hint of red, moderately dense, but the individual hairs are mostly fine and prone to both dry ends and oily mid-lengths.

I always use a curl cream and a hair oil to bring out my waves and keep it soft. My last oil treatment had water as the first ingredient and my hair absolutely loved it. What I liked: A little goes a very long way.

Tipping the bottle quickly to coat my fingertip was enough for my wet hair (plus a bit less on the ends when dry). It smells amazing, definitely lived up to my memory of that dreamy Moroccan oil smell.

As soon as I applied it, my hair felt wonderfully silky and easy to run my fingers through. After I let it air dry as usual, my mid-lengths were very soft, and even the dead ends felt a little nicer to touch (I really needed a haircut when I tried it).

The shine is absolutely incredible! It was glossy all the way to the ends, and didn’t make my mid-lengths stringy/oily looking (I use Sebastian dark oil now, and need to be a lot more careful with how much I apply or it gets stringy).

I got so many compliments on how shiny my hair was the next day. What I didn’t like: The first use was amazing, but after i used it for a couple weeks my hair started to feel heavy and hung straighter.

It was still shiny, but looked less full and the ends were getting more dry over time. Ultimately, I think having silicone as a first ingredient makes hair oils too heavy for me (though I’ve yet to find another with water first).

I consider this to be more like “hair makeup”. If I was going to an event I would 100% use again for the amazing glossy look and intoxicating smell. It doesn’t really make hair healthier or moisturized though, so be cautious if you plan to use it after every wash.

Definitely need a good clarifying shampoo.

I received this product free in exchange for my honest review after using it. I am pleasantly surprised at the efficacy of this product overall. I personally am one who has always been a lover of any and all hair care products.

But if i am being honest, I would have to admit that I definitely discriminated against any type of oil type hair care product. I just automatically assumed without any prior knowledge that my hair would end up looking like i poured vegetable oil in it lol! And so it went that I steered clear of oil products for my hair.

But indeed it was. Wowwww! Boy was i ever wrong in my misjudgement of oil hair products. But after using Moroccan Oil hair treatment, ill likely never use any other type of hair oil treatment because this was such a positive experience for my hair.

The density of my hair has changed throughout the years, from the hair fibres being quite strong to becoming weak and fragile, breaking easily, becoming frizzy and fine in texture. I believe that the changes are due to Hormonal Imbalances, specifically Thyroid and Menopause.

My hair has always been ‘very’ long (I could nearly sit on it), and I’ve always taken extremely good care of it using quality products, doing regular oil treatments and having regular haircuts to keep it looking it’s best.

However, for about the last three years I’ve noticed that it has become finer and does not hold a style anymore. I struggle to get the balance right with any of my hair products, as none of them help with giving me back my shiny, healthy looking head of hair! I’ve been using Argan oil amongst other oils for a number of years now, but they are all now far too heavy for my hair making it look either too oily, dull or just making it drier.

I have been very close (. actually extremely, especially during lockdown) to having all of my hair cut off to start again. The only reason I didn’t go for the big chop, is that on reflection if my hair is also fine at the roots, then the length of it wouldn’t really make any difference as it’s the health of the hair that will give it it’s shape and shine.

So my quest continued to find a product that would make it look and feel healthy and shiny again. I’m also a believer in using ‘natural products’, and look for products which contain as less ingredients as possible, as well as any harmful substances. This is where I would now like to tell you how the Moroccanoil LIGHT oil treatment for fine and light coloured hair has made such a difference to my hair, that I now know when I wash my hair and leave it to Air Dry after applying approximately six drops of oil ( which is what I have been doing for a while now as ‘heat’ willl damage it further) that my hair will be softer, less frizzy and shinier! I can honestly say that this product is a ‘godsend’ and I could not live without it.

If used correctly, I promise you that if you have hair like mine, frizzy, fine, lack lustre, it could make such a difference to your hair that you will not believe. and it comes at an affordable price.

My hair is stronger, longer, healthier, is thicker and the best part of it is that your Red Onion Black Seed oil is helping my scalp! I have a condition called Allow this due to seizures and migraines, and sometimes my scalp burns and hurts so much that I can’t touch it or brush my hair.

When I read that it could help with inflammation I bought the oil and tried it, not expecting much, but was stunned after the first use I got days of pain free scalp! In the instructions of how to use this oil, it says to work it though hair after a blowout. Very often, I blow out my hair with the Dyson Airwrap round brush and self-grip rollers. Self-grip rollers have a tendency to pull at the hair and break off small strands.

I definitely think this oil is great at smoothing those strands after the blow out. You don’t even have to use a full pump for the oil to do that job. With either 1 full pump or less, the oil smooths the hair without ruining the blow out or making it greasy.

My hair gets greasy QUICKLY after washing, so I really enjoy that I can use this oil for blow outs & it doesn’t affect the time in which my hair usually starts getting greasy. Also in the instructions, it says you can use this oil in your hair before washing.

I’ve done this a handful of times now. I find the oil dries down in a fair amount of time, so I like that I can douse my hair with multiple pumps, put it in a pony tail, and after about an hour, it looks normal enough to do do things that I don’t have to look really impressive for (ex: errands).

However, I notice when I completely oiling my hair up with this, it’s rather drying in comparison to other oils. For instance, I also use the Shea Moisture 100% Argan Oil, which is much cheaper, and it gives my hair that smooth oily feel that I aim for prior to washing.

With this oil, I find that myself going back and re-oiling my hair due to the dry feeling. Again, I’ve only used it as a prewash a handful of times, so I have NOT noticed yet that the dryness is a lasting affect after I wash.

I haven’t tried this yet on wet hair. Overall, it’s great for blow outs since a small pump goes far and it is light weight. When using larger amounts, I notice the hair feels more than dry than oily, and I worry this will eventually affect the dryness of my hair.

I feel that I can find a cheaper oil to smooth my hair after blowing it out.

For me, 2021 will go down in history books as the year of my tireless quest to find a reliable hair oil. Two of my fav products ended up being Ouai and Olaplex 7, but they truly accomplish VERY different things.

Ouai oil is HANDS DOWN the most lightweight and flexible oil for every day use. While Olaplex does a notable job strengthening your strands, it can very very easily weigh down your entire look. Ouai does not! I’m serious.

I’ve added it to finished curls (pictured), blowouts, flat ironed moments, etc. , and it NEVER deflates my styling. Rather, it ALWAYS makes my hair look like an enhanced version of whatever I intended.

Some days I even add it to my unstyled hair, because I know it will at least level me up from tragíc mess to ~presentable~. It also smells DEVINE! Like magnolias! The only negative is that a bottle of Ouai does not last nearly as long as Olaplex 7.

Since the formula is lighter, you not only end up using a bit more product naturally but can easily find yourself applying with a heavier hand than needed. An extra pump may not weigh you down with grease (still a W on its own), but it will eventually force you back to Ulta earlier than your wallet appreciates lol.

wow i’m blown ouai with this hair oil! (get it?) anyways. Coming from a man with short hair I love applying this oil to my hair after a shower! Just one pump leaves my hair smelling like flowers 💐 + instead of being dull its easier to manage when I want to style it + it looks healthier over all.

If you don’t enjoy fragrance, particularly strong floral scents. STEP AWAY, from OUAI! It’s not a cheap product, but it’s lasted me a long time! It’s multifunctional as it’s smoothing provides protection from heat up to 450°.

I don’t find it to be a very heavy oil – it’s just right 🤩 This Vegan formula features Borage Oil, Galanaga Root Extract and Ama-Oil 😯 Keeping it real as always, I wouldn’t recommend you splurge and buy this product if you don’t have the extra money to blow.

I can’t imagine the luxury price point is actually justifiable when there are so many alternatives on the market (even at the drugstore) However, if money isn’t a problem or if indulging in a beautifully smelling, luxurious haircare product makes your day – go for it! Additionally, if you’ve ruled out cheaper alternatives.

I have dandruff and split ends problem so I purchased this oil. The main thing why I wasn’t using any kind of oil was that I go to work everyday and giving oil n leaving overnight used to make my hair oily and with shampoo rinse the oil won’t go off.

But THIS SHAMPOO IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT. It also reduced my drandruff after the 1st application itself. PROS: 1. lightweight 2. Doesn’t make our face oily too after application 3. Rinse of easily 4. Works for reducing drandruff and split ends.

I’ve used a few different argan oils for my hair, most common ones being the OGX and Hanz De Fuko Hair Oil. The Forte Series beats them both by a mile! I have fine hair, so those of you who are like me know it’s hard to find a good product that controls frizz while not weighing your hair down too much.

This does just that! It’s not too oily and heavy (much like the OGX ) and does a better job controlling the frizz when compared to HDF Hair Oil. This stuff goes on super easy and evenly and leaves my hair soft all day.

The scent is the same as the molding paste so no need to worry about clashing fragrances. Fine Hair Tip: after washing with shampoo and towel drying, I mix a drop of this in my hand with the Molding Paste as a pre-styler to give my hair so much more volume when blow drying!.

Holy grail product for me! I have long dry fine wavy hair that frizzes and tangles. I use this on my damp hair and let it air dry. No frizz or tangling! Hair doesn’t look dry or damaged. I highly recommend!.

I was introduced to Kemi oil many years ago by a beautician I was seeing at the time. It not only lubricates your scalp but it leaves an amazing shine and light but sweet fragrance! I am a black woman and black hair is dry.

This oil simply does one justice and is also good for the rest of your body too! Plus a little goes a long ways. I am so happy that I found it again!.

My mother use to use this product on me as a child, and I now use it on all four of my children. There was a point in time where I went to purchase it and was told the product was discontinued and almost lost my mind.

After searching and searching for months I learned the product was brought back and I was ecstatic. So I purchased multiple bottles to make sure I always have some just in case they go out of business again.

starting off, had fabulous packing, (though the box was made of plastic) with a glass bottle and dripper. only problem was i was disappointed on how small it was, but at the same time, looking at the size it said on the description, i should have known better.

next we have the actual efficiency of the product. i’m a curly girl, and that means my hair is also thick, so what’s bad is that i cant get enough on my hair without it getting everywhere >~< also is hard to clean up when you spill so keep that in mind, as well as the dipper squirts a little when taking it out.

just be prepared to have to do some extra cleaning when using it. does a great job though!!! the parts of my hair that are easier to get to and therefore more coated in the oil, look absolutely AMAZING.

tl;dr – small bottle, hard to clean up, great product and does the job, needs a ton of product for curly girls.

This! I didn’t have too much expectation for this, I have thick curly hair that’s so dry that sometimes it feels like the desert is envious, and this makes my hair feel so soft and moisturized! It’s a small little vial of product but that’s fine because you don’t actually need to use a lot, if you try this you will the difference in your hair immediately.

I have been so excited to support Jennifer Aniston’s Lolavie pretty much since it began. I bought this on a whim, but was a little nervous to try it, as my hair gets super oily on it’s own. But thought it was definitely worth a try, especially if Jennifer swears by it! I used it today for the first time, with the detangler spray and perfecting leave in conditioner and finished with the oil last.

It is super light weight, light fragrance and leaves my hair soooooo soft!! My hair doesn’t feel weighed down or oily in the slightest. Just some extra softness, bounce and shine. So glad I tried this! New staple for the routine.

I didn’t have luck with the LolaVie detangler (I guess my hair isn’t that tangled), but had I bought it in hopes that it would lend some shine to my hair. The other day, as I applied my usual thick, silicone-based hair oil, I wished for something better.

Literally that afternoon, I learned that LolaVie launched this lightweight hair oil. I ordered a bottle (beautiful packaging), it arrived today, I tried it out, and. I’m blown away. My dry, lackluster wavy hair is soft, shiny, and has the slightest bit of fragrance.

I was even able to apply the oil to my roots, where I had a lot of frizz on a hot day, and it performed perfectly. It’s not heavy enough to shellack my hair into a greasy helmet, but the frizz was tamed and the softness is incredible.

I applied the oil to dry hair, so I’m going to experiment to see how it does on damp hair. So glad I gave this a try, I love it!.

I have become a huge user of hair oil, so I have owned quite a few of them. I always use use silicone-free etc. , and this one is the least expensive yet somehow by far the best. I love how light it is- you would have to really screw up to look greasy.

I use this every time I wash my hair, but I also use some when I wake up in the morning to re-tame it as needed. I use all 3 Lolavie products and they are such game changers. I have very thick hair that is fairly curly, and these products tame my hair more than anything ever has.

I had someone else try the products who has thinner, wavy hair, and she is sold as well. Both of us can’t get over how smooth, defined, and moisturized our hair seems now. I can’t imagine any reason I would buy any other brand of styling products again.

I’ve got pretty thick and frizzy hair so I only use this after I’ve styled my hair and typically the first product before any hairsprays.

I do see a big difference in shine after using it and only ever use it after a fresh style (not typically after 2nd day hair). After I finish this bottle, I know I’m going to be repurchasing it. However, my only cons are that it’s pricey (but again, it lasts so long!) and the smell isn’t the most appealing.

While I’d rather have an unscented oil, this kind of smells like french fries. But, I have learned to look past the strange odor because of the consistency it’s shown thus far.

It literally smells like a bed of flowers! I used a small pump from mid-length to ends and found that it reduced frizz and enhanced shine.

I don’t think this is for thin, straight hair. I’m wondering if there is some storage issue with Sephora that is causing this hair oil to go rancid. I actually purchased this oil (and other Rahua products) through Rahua directly (10% off on their website) and it was a seamless transaction.

FYI, I’ve purchased the Dyson Airwrap through Sephora that didn’t work properly (like the plug would fly off of the wall after using it for 10 seconds). I contacted Dyson directly who immediately sent me a new one and it works perfectly.

They suspected that Sephora was keeping their devices in a storage unit with improper temperature (something about the winters would drop to severely low temperatures and mess with the electric connection).

I highly recommend you purchase through Rahua directly if you’re interested in trying this product. I was honestly scared when I saw these 1 star reviews but I’m glad that I got it directly through them.

First out of all, do you know how hard it is to find silicon free hair product? And yes, most of the hair oil on market has silicon if not more than one type of silicon.

I’ve own ALOT of hair oil, from olaplex, kerastase,oribe, morocco oil and even sisley. They all contain silicon and yeah sure it works nice and smooth but that’s what silicon is for. Now most of them use water soluble silicon which makes it less harmful but I’ve just been really trying to stay away from silicon in hair care.

I have colored/bleached, fine long hair. I used three pumps of this on my ends and did not look like my hair was washed with olive oil. And I used a hair mask beforehand as well. Perhaps people are not warming the oil, I don’t know.

But I really love how natural and silicon free this product is. I feel safe for my hair to use this. I wish more company that does ‘clean beauty’ concept can actually be CLEAN rather than gimmicks. Also I love Rahua’s shampoo and conditioner as well.

Especially the conditioner, smooth out my hair so well and surprisingly is silicon free.

I received a free sample of this, and I am actually going to shell out the full price for a bottle of it because I cannot believe the difference it has made. My hair is ridiculously fine, thin, straight, and long.

My hair is easily weighed down, doesn’t hold texture, doesn’t hold volume, and looks greasy by the end of the day no matter what. I cannot skip a single shower, and I avoid using product in my hair in any way, shape, or form because not only will my hair look unwashed, stringy, and greasy (even with dry shampoo), but my scalp will break out.

I can’t even stray from the same shampoo/conditioner I’ve always used because my hair will freak out. All that to say– I cannot believe this product works on me. The ends of my hair dry out terribly, and in general my hair has not been in great shape.

On the first use, my hair definitely felt softer, but after about a week of using this at night before bed, and every other day also putting some on the bottom half of my hair after a morning shower made my hair look and feel smoother, too.

Tangled hair has been minimized, and brushing my hair is easier– less snags than usual. The oil does not have that viscous, sticky consistency that other treatments have, and doesn’t have the weight and texture that make my hair limp.

It is a very light oil that feels dry on contact, and does not alter the texture of my hair when applied, but the difference in softness is definitely felt. It also smells freaking amazing. 10/10, will actually buy, and would buy again! (Full disclosure: don’t know if I’d try the other products, unless they were free samples, because I don’t know if the same magic translates, but this particular product is definitely A+.

My always dry hair became very damaged from a combo of highlighting and overly hot heat tools. I bought this in the large size in an attempt to help heal my life over-processed locks. It did nothing at all to change the condition of my hair.

I have worked hard on restoring my hair’s health. Though this product was for me a waste of money (and it isn’t cheap!), I was able to help myself by massaging simple canola oil into my hair and scalp a couple of times per week, by cutting off the frazzled ends and reducing my shampooing to not more than once weekly, and by lowering the temperature of my heat tools, which I also only use once weekly.

The canola oil has worked really well. The day I do it my hair does look oily, which is a very rare look for me! If I need to I will use a little Moroccanoil dry shampoo for light hair, which helps. This treatment oil probably works well for less damaged hair but really did not help mine at all.

The canola oil has no fragrance, is vastly less expensive, and has helped me tremendously. I do love the fragrance of these Moroccanoil products, though! I may buy the dry shampoo again just to apply sparingly when I give myself a canola oil treatment, but I will not buy the treatment oil ever again.

If you have hair like mine – dry, coarse and damaged, you too may find a simpler and less costly solution. It’s worth a try, no?.

You need this oil for your hair! I struggle with fine, dry, frizzy (thanks humidity) hair! I apply this either when wet or before apply heat to my hair. It is so lightweight and really helps hydrate my damaged hair.

It also adds a beautiful shine to your hair. Its safe enough that I also use it on my toddlers wirey/curly hair and it leaves it super soft. Also contains keratin!.

‘ve always loved using oils in my hair. My three favorites are olive oil, macadamia oil and argan oil. About a month ago, I got blonde highlights in my hair and I hated them. It made my ends extremely dry.

To get rid of the highlights, I did an at home dye job and did an all over color in my natural hair color. However, my ends still felt like they were deep fried. If you could imagine crumbling up potato chips in your hand, that is what my ends sounded like when I touched them.

My go to oils just weren’t penetrating into the hair. They would coat it but if just looked like an illusion. My hair appeared shiny but it would snarl easily and my ends still felt dried. NOTHING in my arsenal was fixing the problem.

Smells pretty good, seems like it’s going to be a little oily so I will not spray it directly on my hair. My only issue is that 5 of my 12 bottles arrived with the clear caps off, there wasn’t any packing and the Entire bottom of my box was Soiled from oil seeping out of the bottles.

So I had to spend time securing all the caps and wiping them all down.

My product history: Worked for Bumble & Bumble salons and loved them. 90% of my products were Bumble. I had the Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil. for years. because even though lightweight it was somehow too much for my hair and I constantly had trouble gauging the right amount to use on both dry and wet hair.

My hair: Fine – but A LOT of fine hair. It’s blonde, coarse, and wavy. Has NEVER air dried in a naturally beautifully way – my mom hated working with it when I was a kid and just tied it back! This GVP Oil product review: Awesome.

Was blown away by it. In hand, feels similar to the B&B oil – silky, a little goes a long way because it thins out a bit with the heat of your hand, so it isn’t gloopy or gloppy or thick or sticky. The smell is nice and although not exactly like the real thing you can tell they took it into consideration since clients love the Invisible Oil scent.

It is balanced and has a honey-like smell to it (imo). How I use it: Don’t just dump it into the hair. it will be too much. Start with one pump, work it through damp midlengths and ends focusing on any damaged, dry, or trouble spots.

Blow dry. Assess when dry and with a very light touch and small amount, apply to any dull or dry areas. For flyaways I only use what’s left on my hands from the post blowout – no more pumps! Next time you blowout, adjust to your liking; use two or three pumps if you need or half of one.

The first time be conservative so it can act as a guide for next time and you’ll be a pro in no time! I also mix a tiny bit (quarter pump) with thick hair pastes for certain styles to add a bit of healthy, natural shine when I want a firm hold in places.

It is lightweight, but it can become too much very quickly. but that’s the beauty of it. A lot of product for relatively little money. I will never spend $50+ on a hair oil now that I’ve found this.

I really like it! I used the name brand of this generic then found this and I’m glad I did. I do like the name brand a bit more, but the price tag, especially when there is a Sally Sale, cannot be beat.

I put it on my damp hair and let it dry and it really helps with shine and frizz. This comes out of a pump in drops rather than a spray like the name brand, but that is fine. It also doesn’t have as strong a smell as the name brand but it has a night light smell.

I’ll keep using this for sure.

I love this serum! My hair had become dry and damaged over the last few months. It actually needs a few or several inches cut… Bottom line what has always been one of my best features (my hair) was looking and feeling terrible.

That is, until I tried this serum! What a transformation! After just one use my hair felt less me my hair again, it is soft, shiny , no frizz. Still need a cut but not for the same reasons. Love this serum!.

I have long gray hair. it is very fine. I use this argan oil on the last 3 inches after a shower. Then I add more to the ends a couple of days later and continue doing so until I wash it again and start all over.

I have always had seemingly unmanageable frizzy hair, but this oil makes my curls look defined, shiny and soft. After using it for a while I decided to put some of the oil in a little spray bottle with water so I can shake it up and spritz it onto my hair as opposed to rubbing it in because my curls would pull out and I wouldn’t get the definition I like.

That has worked wonderfully. This is the best hair oil I’ve used. Love it!.

This oil penetrates deeply into the scalp and hair. Doesn’t sit on top and look greasy. Use especially on edges. Takes away dry hair. Shake product until no black flecks at the bottom before using and use sparingly.

I gladly put a towel over my pillow case when I use as it’s that’s good, but oily even through my head scarf but who cares—my hair is absolutely, totally improved and that’s all that matters. When I started using this product my sister said, ‘’your hair looks good, what did you do?” And she’s a naturalista with 10 years on me.

I’m natural 8 years this March. Please don’t change this formula. Great as it is!!!!.

The product pictured is a full bottle of oil. However, the product received has about 1 inch of oil missing. They should update the picture to reflect the actual product (I looked online and some bottles have the 1 inch gap).

The nozzle works well of you just open it a little so as not to get too much out. This made my scalp itch. Also read a couple of reviews mentioning that corn oil is or may be an ingredient. Not for $17 in my opinion.

Not sure if it makes hair grow, due to misleading quantity image and finally itchy scalp, I’m returning.

I bought this oil because I thought it would help with my dry scalp. Not only did it make my scalp dryer, but it made my hair brittle. My scalp also started flaking more. I used it pretty consistently too.

As did my husband. His locs also felt the same. He doesn’t have dry scalp, but developed it while using this product. I really wanted to love it but it just didn’t work for us. I thought it would work better, considering it’s one of the pricier hail oils.

I feel this was worth the expense for my complicated routine. I have fine hair but lots of it. It’s colour-treated so breakage and dryness are issues, and it’s prone to frizz and poofiness so I use a straightener often.

To top it off, I am growing it very long. Recipe for disaster. I use a lot of products to protect my strands. This isn’t a miracle formula (there isn’t one). What it is is a very good serum that makes hair feel softer and look shinier without adding much greasiness to the roots.

I try to only wash my hair twice a week so I’m weary of products that make the scalp oily, yet i also need something I can add to my ends mid-cycle when they feel like straw. I still use a heat-protectant with it when I’m styling.

This oil (which really isn’t much of an oil) is the hair equivalent of putting lip balm on. The good news is that the mini size is quite generous and you don’t need much. The scent is trademark Oribe, citrusy but less cloying than some of their other stuff.

This to me is the ultimate nourishing hair oil, that I use daily. After a fresh shampoo followed by my treatment cream, I apply a dime sized amount of this oil, and rub it around my palms to warm it up before running it through my damp hair.

Then I finish with styling. It is a semi-thin consistency that doesn’t make my hair look greasy or weighed down. What it does is transformative, the softness, smoothness and shine are incredible! Especially if I blow dry my hair, I’m left with no frizziness whatsoever.

I also use this on non-hair Wash days. I rub a small amount and tap into the lower half of my hair focusing on ends. Every single day I add this to prevent dryness and more damage on the ends. A little goes a long way, and actually repairs and prevents further damage from heat and styling.

I’m obsessed and have a backup ready so I don’t run out. [brand:oribe] is known for next level products and this I consider a staple. Per usual, I buy at [brand:sephora]!.

I received this product for free from Influenster; HOWEVER, I believe in reviews with transparency and integrity, so I’m being completely honest in my review, and I’m not just hyping it up because I didn’t have to pay for it.

I really, really love this product, and I will 100% purchase it with my own money when I run out–it’s that good. The Oribe name kind of speaks for itself, and frankly, I was super excited when I found out I’d be getting a sample of this to try out, because the brand is legendary for those of us who are familiar with the quality and luxuriousness that Oribe products possess.

I’ve actually never purchased anything from Oribe due to the price of their products:quantity of product you receive, but I feel that the amount of oil you get for the price with this item is worth the splurge.

I have dry, allover bleached blonde hair, and saw an IMMEDIATE improvement in the texture, shine, and softness of my hair after applying this (I followed the instructions and applied to roots while damp, then to ends after fully drying), and it looked like I’d gotten a professional blowout if I’m being totally honest.

I don’t use a lot of oils/leave-ins in my hair besides occasional plain jojoba oil if my ends are looking dry after washing/drying, and a keratin detangler spray. In my opinion, this oil from Oribe replaces both of those items–it detangles and seems to protect from heat styling, and also seems to seal the cuticle when used on dry hair.

It smells amazing, too, and it’s not cloying or obnoxious–kind of citrus-y, a little floral-y? Very unique scent. My hair is fine (but I have a lot of it), and gets weighed down easily if I use too much product, especially on my roots, but I’ve found that this lightweight oil doesn’t make my hair greasy or weigh it down, which is huge for me, and honestly the biggest reason why I would purchase it for realsies.

Give this little gem a try if you have dry/dull/puffy/frizzy hair, even if you’ve already tried hundreds of hair products with zero success and zero hope left, just like me. ▪︎This oil makes my hair shiny, bouncy (gives elasticity and movement) while making extreme hair puffiness and frizz disappear.

Those are the instantly visible results, but there are also longterm ones that were heavily noticeable after about 2 weeks of daily use. My hair when fully dried, after using just shampoo, is way less puffy, frizzy and dry than before, it’s healthier in itself.

Even though my wavy hair is fine & thin and just a little bit lower than my shoulders, I need double and triple amounts of hair products than my afro-hair friend does (just to give you an idea. ) When I say my hair is extremely puffy, frizzy and dry I’m not joking.

▪︎My huge hair transformation is also proof that my hair was indeed absorbing the oil, which was obvious to me from the very start, but I still doubted myself because it seemed too good to be true (despite that the oil’s consistency is watery) since my hair has been unable to absorb even lightweight conditioners and mists in the past.

▪︎I can’t tell you if it helps with knots & detangling though because it’s the only problem my hair doesn’t have, but given the surreal results I got, I expect it would help with that too. ▪︎Its smell is light and pleasant, sweet leaning (not sugary/chemically sweet) but also kind of fresh once on the hair.

▪︎I highly recommend using it on fully dried hair. I start by putting 5 drops on my palm (I personally need about 15 in total), I rub my hands together to warm it up and then I run my fingers on my mids and ends.

That way I’m able to see where more oil is needed as well as when I need to stop so it won’t become greasy. *Thankfully it doesn’t make my oily roots oilier than normally, so I don’t need to wash more often.

By applying the oil on dump hair though you won’t be able to see when and where to stop, you will distribute the oil unevenly so you’ll end up with some seriously greasy hair parts once your hair fully dries.

▪︎I’ve been using it for 2 months, the first month I used it daily (just by itself, no conditioners or masks), once a day, about 15 drops in total. Then I reduced it to every second/third day (same amount) because my hair quality improved thanks to it.

Still it looks like I used very little, the bottle is almost full, it will definately last me 2 years if not more, so the price is sweet. Even better compared to the similar or higher price of all my other hair “oils” that ended up being silicones, with drying alcohols and a few drops of oil as their last ingredients.

This one is trully a blend of oils without silicones, alcohols and proteins. So the price is excellent for the quality, the quantity and the results. ▪︎Overall this is one of the two best hair products I’ve ever used and the only ones that worked to begin with.

I have very thick curly/ wavy hair and it’s been really dry recently as has my scalp (curly girl problems). My hair looked dry and conditioner wasn’t enough. I brought this and it’s made my dry hair shiny.

I still have some frizz on top but it feels really soft, not greasy at all though, and my scalp feels better too (I have massaged it in). A small bit of oil goes a really long way. You are better off adding more if you need to rather than over doing it and wasting product.

It doesn’t really smell which is nice and I just think it makes such a difference. I will definitely order again.

A great oil for Afro hair types. Use sparingly on any dry ends and scalp. I put it into a spray bottle which makes it much easier to use on dry hair and even when hair is braided in a style. Have also added to hair when deep conditioning for extra shine and softer curls, plus after rinsing for added moisture.

Not sure why so many have given bad reviews – maybe they are using too much at a time – i would definitely recommend using it in a small spray bottle to manage the amount used for a better result.
