Best Level For Iron 1.17 (2024 Updated)

Pretty straight forward, easy to use. I used it to get a ROUGH idea of the water line for a pond I recently constructed a dam on. Keep in mind this is not a transit so don’t expect it to perform as such.

Having said that, when building my dam I had already determined where I would like for my water line to be. So this was a way for me to confirm if I was close or not. Within a couple minutes I could see where my water level will be when the pond fills.

If you can read a level you can use this tool. Standing in the pond bed, I centered the bubble and center line on the spillway of my levee an then slowly turn keeping the bubble centered on the center line.

This was where my water level will be when the water runs over the spillway. Again it didn’t need to be exact, just close enough to confirm the levee is high enough to hold water at the level I wanted.

Great little level at a very friendly price. I would buy another. Perfect for carrying grade laying culverts. Have already used it, and I approve!

Level has no magnification and is, therefore, very difficult to see the target. Seeing through the level is difficult. The target appears to be very far in the distance. It is very difficult to get a reasonably accurate level.

I am a custom cabinet maker and this product is used to check walls and floors on new and old homes. We call it “The Informer” because contractors sub most of their framing and don’t know if its plumb and level or not.

If I find a wall out of plumb (before sheet rock) I mark it with red marking paint and take pictures. LOL I have been told contractors will not call me back when I do that but that suits me just fine.

I have used Stabila products for 20 years and find that their accuracy and ease of use is unbeatable.

This is definitely a high quality tool. Showed up with all the accessories and in mint condition. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for and this extendable level is worth it.

I was skeptical buying this knowing that it would be hard to get a fully extendable level that doesnt flex over an extra 4. Up to just over 8 it works great. I hope this doesnt change over time. At 102 there is too much play in the extension.

So it shows being out of level. But if you pick up the joint just a hair it shows level. And you can see the flex. And yes I have it locked in :).

My Stanley I-beam was way off of level. When I turned thing, I got very different measurements of plumb. Test your level before you buy it, by turning it in different positions on the same spot, to see if it reads the same each time.

I bought several Stanley tools recently, and none of them were any good, soft metal and poor design.

This was perfect for me. It is made out of a soft aluminum or something, but i intend to use it to determine if a surface is level, not place baseball with it. Sure, it will get banged up if you don’t take care of it.

If you are a professional and you need tools that can take a beating and last, this is probably not what you are looking for. If you are some guy who is going to lay some tile in their bathroom, or maybe install some cabinets then just save yourself some money and just buy this one.

As a Masonry Craftman, these Stabilla Levels are of high quality. I have many sizes of these, from 16″ up to 4′. They are a bit pricey but of High Quality. I’m a 4th Generations of Masons in my family.

I’ve been using this level for a few months now, and it has quickly become my favorite. Aside from the reliable Stabila accuracy, it is very comfortable to use. It is incredibly lightweight and the grips are very soft.

Its is about half as heavy as the 24″ Milwaukee RedStick, maybe less. Excellent level.

D light appearance it is very manageable and robust as any level is not made to use it as a hammer but resists the falls more reasonable plastic so ultra easy to clean That happiness I recommend this item because excellent value for money.

Ordered this level from,FFX and got confirmation email at 7. 32pm 2/July which stated item would be delivered next day by DPD as their ‘FFX’ website states, received email from DPD at 9. 50pm stating delivery would in fact be on the 4th July so paid DPD £4.

99 for Saturday 9th delivery. This never happened due to driver not being able to find the address? yeah, right whatever so Dozy Parcel Deliveries said it would be delivered next day Sun 10th this also never happened due to “unforeseen issues” rolls eyes.

so cancelled delivery/order and received £4. 99 refund from DPD but as of today 17th July still no refund from FFX, so can’t review a product I never received nor had a refund for but that may be a fault of DPD not FFX, who knows? as it”s always someone else’s fault.

Ps have now bought this level while away and have to say it is a solid, well made bit of kit.

Well after too many years than I wish to remember using the Stabila level I came across this one while searching to buy another. Its comparable in quality though different. The mirrored vials are an extra that I don’t think I would use though and add to the already extra cleaning.

As a Bricklayer I maybe should have stuck to the ribbed Stabila which is easier to clean. It is certainly a good level though and would recommend it to other trades.

I do foundation work for a living, so having at least a 4′ level is very helpful. The level in Zoro. com’s site shows one with rubberized handle grips. Mine came without them and had I known they wouldn’t be part of the order I would have bought elsewhere.

The level is not useless, it’s just not what was pictured. If Zoro wants to compensate me for the lesser level, I’ll gladly re-rate the item with a different review.

Very well built love the added magnets, the bubbles are easy to read from any angle. This was my latest add on to the collection as I have all the other smaller sizes all the way to the torpedo. Highly recommend this product….

Bij deze is de afwijking zo groot, dat het middelen al geen doen is, laat staan dat je hem iedere keer moet loshaken en aanhaken. Kortom het ding is onbruikbaar als lijnwaterpas.

IšverstiShow in original languagebought three of these as a set and only one was level. did the brickies trick by setting up a tight line and put one on an adjusted the line till it was level. turned it end-for-end and it was off level.

did this for all three and only one was true. i recommend anyone buying a level do this to make sure the bubble is not broken. they are the same when tested on a flat surface as they can be used sitting as well as hanging.

IšverstiShow in original languageIt`s sturdy ,If you have to put the level on string first, the clips will bend if the line is tight. , I have 5 of these line levels. they wont fall off when moving the line , just make sure after using them check the clearance were string clips on.

When I received this tool to use and give my version of how it functions I felt that the box was empty! This level is so light at 48”, I really thought the box was empty. The level doesn’t have anything that impressive at first.

You know it’s got what you expect, 3 preset bubble tubes, see through level tube and it’s straight. Then you see something different, it’s got one side that is set up like a tape measure. It’s got markings in the American Standard System and the Metric System.

48” of of help, when you need it the most and you can’t find your tape measure. I mean, I really like this level. It’s light, it’s accurate and it’s easy to hold over your head. Buy one I think you’ll like it just as much as I do!.

Our company was hired to install several advertising signs and we successfully pulled a uniform look throughout the installations, all thanks to this level! Great level for big projects, and considering we were up 16 feet doing installations, the lightweight design was a huge plus.

I bought this last week to use in some DIY, It is well worth the price and well made will be very helpful to me when I do my bathroom up.

I’m not too impressed with this level, given the quality of all my other Ridgid tools I assumed it would carry over to this level. It works just fine and reads accurately but I had only had been using it for a week and the lines and numbering on the vials had already began wearing off just from regular use making it difficult to read.

If you can’t read a level it’s pretty much useless. why they didn’t have the lines and numbering on the INSIDE of the vials is beyond me.

I’ve used other torpedo levels and found this one to be more accurate then all of them. I like the fact that you can see exactly how much grade according to the marked fraction on the gage.

The item I received was a different color than advertised. Not worth the time and effort to send back so I gave it to an apprentice that needed a bright orange level….

I like the design of this German made Iron. It’s shape, with it’s elongated tip makes it easier to press clothes with narrow edges, seams and collars. It heats up quickly and glides over laundry easily.

It is lightweight compared to the other Rowenta Iron’s with steam features, I have owned in the past. The size and shape of the iron’s sole-plate is also nice. All the controls work well, and it is self cleaning with a “calc catcher” that is removable.

The transparent water tank window is convenient for easy watch over the water level. It also has a nice balance to it and does not tip over like the cheaper irons do. Overall the colors, design, and features make it a good desired product.
