Best Lesson Planners For Teachers (2024 Updated)

Wonderful! No nonsense planner. Perfect for homeschool. This is so basic I love it. The first few pages are for a seating chart and the rest is all divided into days of the week and up to 7 different subjects.

So great! I look forward to decorating it and using it this year.

Love how the days are listed at the top so my days plans are vertical. I don’t have to keep switching from one side to the other. Affordable and simple. Wish it had other color options for the cover.

Be aware that the pages are fairly thin, but I usually write in pencil so I don’t have an issue. (Pen works too, but inky pens like sharpie or flair pens may go through more).

As a homeschooling family, we love these grade books! We have been using them since 2003. I keep a grade book for each child. The first books we used, I was able to record kindergarten through 7th grades in, which makes it easy to keep our homeschooling records together.

These that I just ordered will hold grades 8 – 12 when we begin our 2020-2021 homeschool year.

This planner is so cute, bright, colorful and useful! This planner will have your life put together if you use it. There is a place for everything. I love that it has a place for contacts, a monthly view, a weekly view and notes.

As I’m approaching my student teaching semester, I find this planner extremely helpful! I love that they are open so you can use them any year. They also have pages to keep record of contact information, important dates, gals, etc.

This planner is also very colorful- which I was ope full for, & there is enough space to write down notes.

I love the adaptability of this planner. I homeschool and needed something to plan out our lessons for the year. most of the planners I was finding were too fussy or expensive. I have plenty of room to write in assignments, and my felt tip pens don’t bleed through the paper.

I also love that I can see all lessons for every subject for the week at the same time. Saved my sanity, I will be repurchasing for following school years.

Love the Blue Sky weekly teacher planner. I have bought this planner 4 years in a row with variations in color (dots, stripes, flowers). It perfect if you have multiple subjects or how I use it is for my volunteer and home school planning.

I can see at a weeks glance what I’m responsible for. Before I even heard of a bullet journal, I was already journaling my week with bullets. There are plenty of columns for your different subjects and enough room to right.

This planner gives me freedom to variate where I am not locked into one style. The plastic sleeve pocket is a big plus for the papers or documents, you just have to take with you. It is perfect for summer planning and the school year.

This is a perfect planner for anyone, not just teachers. My job takes me to many places, and I have to write orders and track shipments and plan service visits to different locations. This planner has the regular monthly calendar pages for planning, and each Monday-through-Friday week gets the two pages together when opened, with dates on the left page, and extra room with subtle columns on the right hand page with plenty of room for noting anything you need to remember.

Its cover is sturdy and has a place where you can slip in anything you want to use for the cover image. Inside, you get a sturdy clear pocket for receipts or notes. I love this planner so much that I have ordered it each year for the past four years.

Best plan book ever! Ive used the school issued one, Targets own paperback and hardback versions, Scholastics plan book, and the Stephanie Embrey Teachers Planner and Record Book. My Office Depot gets very few of these gems each July and they are gone almost immediately.

Not only was this free and super fast ship, but 25% retail. Ill be back next year!.

I have bought this planner every year I have taught and wouldn’t use anything else! So easy to use, plenty of space, and no need for a separate attendance/grade book

It’s very (nearly) the same planner that I’ve been using. The only thing I found odd, was that it didn’t come with the clip in bookmark. I went back to the item description and no where does it say that it came with one.

I just found it odd that This specific design didn’t come with one. Not a huge deal, I’ll just transfer my old one to the new planner. but keep in mind that this specific design does not come with a “Today” clip in bookmark.

Pros: -Page quality is still stellar like always. -The daily space is large enough to keep up with my packed schedule -The front and back cover is durable enough to take a beating. In my backpack, this is guaranteed.

-Pages are durable and easily turn without ripping. -Month tabs are durable and do not rip the page. The cons: -only one is the lack of a new bookmark. (shrugs).

I normally get the At A Glance planner that has the days in columns, which I like better. However, this Weekly/Monthly Blue Sky planner is a great value if you are trying to save money. It still has the days of the week, but they are not in column format like At A Glance.

The Blue Sky has all the spots you need to enter info. into your calendar, but it’s just not as fancy as the At A Glance. I’d rather save money right now. The At A Glance planner is almost $30, whereas this Blue Sky planner was only $7.

50. (Last year, the At A Glance calendar only cost me $22)! So, I’m pleased with this Blue Sky purchase. This Blue Sky Very calendar was affordable, and I’m grateful they didn’t jack up the price from last year (like At A Glance did)!.

Best planner I ever bought! I always buy whatever is available each year, but I hope this brand will be available for years to come. I love that it’s spiral bound, the size is perfect, the calendar year (rather than academic year), the spaces for goals, the monthly calendar, the monthly tabs so you don’t have to flip through a million pages when planning ahead, the little plastic folder, the handy ruler, etc.

At first I didn’t think I’d like that the days are unlined, but I actually think I prefer it now, the pages look less “messy”. This feels like it was designed by someone who really put a lot of thought and care into it.

And the price is great too!.

I have looked at other teacher plan books but I always go back and buy this one. I am a math adjunct instructor at a community college and use this plan book to keep myself organized. I like the fact that the “days of the week” are written across horizontally at the top of the pages (and not going down vertically on the left of the page).

Also, I like the inexpensive price; the price is a lot lower than other teacher plan books. Great product.

I prefer a plan book that is three-hole punched. I had to buy this out-of-pocket into the school year, a little less-expensive would be nice.

It’s well constructed, colorful and tidy. This planner is lighter, so it’s easier to carry with a laptop to meetings. However, I am accustomed to planners with larger sized pages The pages with boxes on this particular planner are too small for me.

It may very well be ok for other people, but I write detailed notes that need additional space. I’m sorry that I removed the packaging to open it. This planner is not for me.

I was struggling with planning online teaching sessions. This planner helps me visualize my week and classes. It also has monthly calendars so that I can see the big picture. The sticker tabs help to mark the months.

The checklist at the back could be used as a grade or attendance book.

I bought this planner for the upcoming school year to reorganize my organization between multiple planning that will suit both the students and my needs as a teacher to keep me on track. This planner has just what I need in layout and aesthetics.

I love the Tul products. The pages for the months are tabbed so I can turn right to the entire month laid out on two pages and don’t have to insert extra pages to mark each month. Each day block has lines too and I really like that.

This product is study, but flexible! There are ample weekly pages, plenty of seating charts, but only enough attendance pages for two classes (for the full year). I am a self-contained (multiple-subject) classroom and I have found this to be the best teacher planner I have ever encountered.

I have used this product for 10 years and the only drawback is the unavailability in the store now, and the need to order on line. As a middle school teacher, the nine blocks per day allows for before and after school appointments, duties or meetings, as well as enough space to write the daily plan for each class.

One can easily adjust for double block scheduling by using two blocks. I like the flexibility of recording the dates as different schools start on different dates, some well before Labor Day. Since some schedules change on a rotating basis, one can prepare the rotation ahead of time and one always know if it’s green day or purple day, using colored highlighters to mark off the unique schedules of the middle school.

The book itself is not overlarge, has spaces for notes, the only useless part of the book is the part that has the rosters as most schools have moved to electronic grading and attendance. It could be utilized for other organizational purpose regarding grouping or differentiation.

I love the flexibility and customizable feature of this planner, keeps you organized when the schedules are complex!.

The At-A-Glance undated weekly Teacher’s Planner is my favorite planner. I have tried the staples undated teachers planner , but came back to the at-a-glance planner. I love the stiffer covers, and that there is less wasted paper for me with the at a glance planner.

I don’t need the class seating chart pages and the attendance pages. Because I save the planners from one year to the next I really appreciate how well they hold up over time. I would definitely recommend this planner to fellow teachers.

I work in a small school and teach seven classes a day. This planner is great for keeping a basic outline of what I want to accomplish each day for each class and room for special notes about class events or grading needs.

I looked at other planners and none fit my planning needs like this. Great quality, especially for such a low price.

I bought two of these. I like to keep a hard copy of my students’ grades, as well as a copy on the computer. These books are organized very well and are exactly what I needed. Please keep selling these because they are hard to find.

I wanted to love this, I shipped it from Joann Fabrics because I was excited to see a homeschool Happy Planner that appeared well thought out & although I prefer the classic size, I was going to give the Big size a try this year because I was excited for this planner.

Although another review said this has everything a homeschool parent would need, it was missing an attendance section. Many states, like the one I live in require us to keep an attendance record for homeschooling.

Last year I used the Happy Planner add on for the classic planner and liked just filling in the bubbles for each student, I was hoping to find something similar in this, however I will be returning this as I will likely go back to what I did with the classic & insert.

I really love the colors of this planner! The dashboard layout is AMAZING! One thing I don’t love is the glitter pink rings. I wish this planner was deluxe. I ended up buying metal rings for it and it feels much sturdier.

I love the black and white inside cover so much that I flipped it and am using that for front cover. Love the versatility.

I’m sure there’s a fabulous, specific statistic somewhere, but the homeschooling community has EXPLODED in my area, and around the country, just in the last 2 years. And last year you had only 1 homeschool parent planner, and 1 student homeschool planner.

This year you now only have ONE planner, period, to take the place of last year’s 2. How does this make sense when the market is SO RIPE?.

I love the layout for the way I use it. I’m diabetic and I have to keep track for other medical issues. And it works perfectly, I will be ordering more of these layouts. I have been a big fan since 2018/2019.

I purchased the planner for my daughter. She is homeschooling my oldest granddaughter, which is in 1st grade this year. My daughter loves it, also she is going back to school online and uses the planner for her assignments as well.

I am no teacher but this is a great planner for me. I use it to help me stay on track with homeschooling my three kids. The layout is perfect for what I need. If you are in of a planner for your homeschool then this planner is for you.

I bought this so I could keep track of my kids grades. It is exactly what I expected. It is well laid out and includes everything you need to grade your child’s work. I use the seating chart in the back of the book to plan the subjects I will be teaching instead seeing I home schooling and do not need the chart for seating.

THIS IS A GREAT TOOL FOR THE MONEY. THE SQUARES ARE LARGE ENOUGH FOR RECORDING GRADES. THERE IS A SECTION IN THE BACK FOR NOTES. THERE IS A SECTION I THE FRONT FOR PARENT COMMUNICATION.

This year the students had to purchase their own planners and this works perfectly. It has space for detailed assignments, flexibility for both every day and every other day classes and none of the extra “fluff” and busyness to distract from what the student has written.

I really like this planner, it’s simple, yet offers practical features that I need in order to organize my schedule and plan my lessons. One of the must-have features that I seek out in my planners is that it doesn’t already have the days, weeks, and year all preprinted out.

I like having the option of moving our schedule around if need be. This usually happens on a whim when plans change, or I have to add in extra time or even less for a particular lesson or course of study.

This planner is colorful and set up nicely. It has plenty of space for planning and notes. It would be hard for me to plan the 6 different grades here at home only using one book. But if written in pencil, one could write a lesson plan out for a grade and reuse it when another child moved into that grade.

The boxes are roomy enough that I can make quick, antidotal notes for my groups. I teach special education reading interventions and case manage all students who have goals for reading. The calendar in the front leaves great room to actually write my meetings and details in one place.

I like the parent contact log that’s also included. The only thing I haven’t figured out are the month stickers because the months are already printed. anyway it’s a great planner and much cheaper than others on the market.
