20 Best Lenses For Mamiya Rb67 (2023 Updated)

UPDATE: I bought this lens because I needed a real fisheye lens for my Panasonic HC-X1500 camcorder. I was previously using a Panasonic DC-GX9 mirrorless camera with the Panasonic fisheye lens for my fisheye shots but the footage gets substantially cropped in video and the footage simply doesn’t look as good compared to the camcorder footage.

The Opteka 62mm fisheye will not focus on the HC-X1500 because the HC-X1500 has too short of a minimum focus distance. The workaround is to use a 62mm 10x Macro lens with the fisheye lens and the spacer the fisheye comes with.

You put the 10x Macro lens on first, then the included fisheye spacer, and then the fisheye lens. I used the Vivitar 10x Macro lens and I’m also going to try the Opteka 10x Macro lens. It’s not ideal but it works well enough for me and more importantly my long shots and fisheye shots look consistent now in terms of color, density, etc.

because I’m using the same camera for both shots.

Product came as described and is good quality and has a nice case. I use it for skateboard filming and it works well. I was under the impression if I ordered the correct thread size for my camcorder I wouldn’t need to use a spacer ring but it wouldn’t attach to my camcorder (hmc150) without one.

It included a spacer ring so it wasn’t a problem I just found it strange. I removed the sun shade because when you put the fisheye on you can see it very clearly in frame. I assume if you manage to get it on your camera perfectly then it wont be a problem.

but when screwing it on its very hard to tell where the bottom and top of the shade will end up. This causes the lens cap to no longer stay on the lens because it stick onto the sun shade. To solve this problem I simply leave the sun shade in the cap and use an elastic band to hold it all together when i’m done using it.

(I’ve had no problems with ti falling off) Autofocus will continue to work with the fisheye on but it seems to always be out of frame in low light. you may as well leave it in manual since everything you film will be super close to the camera anyways.

gg sick af fisheye, fits on my vx700 perfect. Only thing is I wish they gavce you two extra spacers so you could get hella zoomed out fisheye effect. But its coo with the one they give you plus that sturdy hardcase pouch thing they give you with for it is so fire thats what makes this worth it over other 0.

My wife and I have been using other brands of goggles for many years. We both wear glasses. The Wildhorn goggles fit comfortably over our glasses. The portion that fits over the bridge of the nose, we both have noticed this past weekend, that it is more comfortable and allows us to breath easier than our previous goggles.

We ski at Sun Valley, Idaho most of the time, and the conditions there vary from bright sun to flat light on certain areas of the mountain. We ordered the extra lenses in order to get some that allowed more light through, and they helped tremendously with being able to see better the terrain definition on those ski runs where the light gets flat, while at the same time providing 100% UV protection.

We are both very pleased with our new goggles, and the ability to use varying lenses with them. Swapping out the lenses is a breeze, and the frames are sturdy and well built.

I’m a little bigger of a guy who could stand to lose some weight, so because of that I get really hot really quickly. When it comes to lenses of any kind, I always struggle with the fogging issue- especially with goggles.

These goggles do a great job at staying clear and fitting really well. When they do fog up, it’s only been a small strip at the top of the lens. All it took was removing the lens, wiping away the condensation, and we were good to go.

These are also my first goggles with interchangeable lenses and I will never go back! They change quickly and are secure to the frame. I would highly recommend these goggles for anyone- especially those with higher body temps.

I finally pulled the trigger on a new set of goggles to get the benefit of easy to change lenses. These goggles were well prices so seemed low risk to try and I am very glad I did! Not only are the lenses super easy to change, but the field of view is fantastic.

My old goggles I could see a good amount of the goggle frame in my field of view. I didn’t even realize how much more field of view I would get with new goggles until I got these. The lenses are also superb visibility for both night (with the low light amber) and sunny or cloudy day (with the other lens I got – i think rose).

Not my first product from Revant. This time the lenses size did not fit well for Ray Ban Justin frame. Glasses coating was ruined upon lenses installation due to a slight bigger size than the original ones.

Second and the most important downside is the distorted visual experience through the lenses. Feels like peripheral distortion in different points of the lenses and causes an uncomfortable itching to eyes.

My other lenses from Revant are not suffering from these issues.

I bought this to play with on a recent vacation, and it exceeded all expectations. Sharpness is very good for the price, and build quality is top notch. Manual focus isn’t much of a limitation at this focal length.

The only reason this isn’t getting five stars is the cap. It doesn’t fit very tightly, and it wobbles a lot because the top/bottom shade petals are bigger than the side ones.

I bought this adopter to mount on a Sony DSC-HX400V camera. With this adopter, the zoom range should extend from a 25mm full-frame equivalent to an 16mm full-frame equivalent — with that camera set to 3:2 aspect ratio.

Unfortunately, the adopter causes vignetting when the camera’s lens is extended to its fullest wide angle position — even with no filters attached to either the prime lens or the adopter lens. To eliminate the vignetting, one has to zoom in from the max 4.

3mm focal length to the 5mm position (equiv to 29mm) on the prime lens. With the prime lens at 5mm and the adopter attached, the maximum wide angle view increases from 16mm to 19mm (again at 3:2 aspect ratio), which is less than advertised.

However, this is not much worse (less than 1mm of focal length) than if this conversion lens were attached to the 18-55mm of a SLR kit zoom, or Sony’s own wide angle conversion lens attached to the Sony 16mm f2.

8 prime lens on a Sony mirrorless ILC camera. So the wide angle reach is not as good as expected, but almost equivalent to the other alternatives available at a comparable price. (Above equivalence calculations based on the trigometric formula for relating sensor size, focal length and angle of view; using 3:2 aspect ratio setting of sensor to maintain precise comparability to full frame , and rounding to the integer of the focal length equivalent.

I didn’t expect it to work great but thought it might be acceptable when stopped down. I screwed it on the front of my 24mm Canon pancake lens which is about 38mm equivalent. I hoped the combination would give me a wider angle of about 25mm for occasional use.

I could see the soft edges on the little reviewing screen on the camera. I tried different f/ stops and then viewed them on the iPad’s bigger screen. Small improvement when stopped down but I don’t believe anyone would want to use it.

It may work on some video cameras or even other still camera lenses, but my test combination was soft in the center and mush around the edges. I should have known better.

I bought this lens for my Canon HF S20 and 21 cameras since they do not have much of a wide viewing angle when working in tight quarters. I have only had this lens for two weeks but found it very useful.

I mounted this lens on one of my cameras for floor shots to video my daughter’s college dance team to get a second viewing perspective. I was extremely happy with the added viewing angle, amount of light the lens allows in and clarity of video.

I also used the camera for another dance performance from bleachers that were not far away enough to shoot the entire team without this lens. The focal range of the lens was a little limited. My subjects stayed in focus as long as I did not zoom in more than about 70%.

This was the only draw back I found to this lens. If your application for a zoom lens is mainly to capture a wide angle without doing progressive zooming, you will love this lens. The lens has very fine threads so you will need to be careful when threading it on the camera.

It is not made to quickly put on and remove from camera. Very well made lens with quality glass and solid construction. Good price considering what you would pay for a comparable Canon lens. Lens came with sturdy plastic case, dust cover for threaded camera interface and nice snap on cover to protect lens when attached to camera.

Well, I thought, at first, thought it was pricey. ( I had ordered two ” smoke” tinted for about half the price for both ! But after installing this one I noticed how clearly I could see, and that it works well in bright or low light.

I WOULD highly recommend.

Great value, items all arrived without any defects and the lenses seemed brand new. Honestly can’t beat the price and worth getting multiple at once because one will get damaged inevitably.

they have fogged up and frozen over on every single snowy day. I reached out to customer service who was nice enough to offer 50% off a replacement pair and I decided to try again. It’s been 3 days now on the mountain during snowy weather and the new ones had the same exact issue.

I’ve now been in 5 different situations where I had to get down a mountain in snowy, windy conditions without any goggles because these were completely frozen over. When I asked customer service if I was doing anything wrong, they stated that the goggle should absolutely not fog up.

I also asked an employee at the resort for advice and was told to make sure I’m not moving my goggles from face to top of helmet often as that can cause freezing. I thought I had it figured out, but the next low light day I kept my goggles in place and they fogged up by the time I got to the top of the 1st chairlift of the day! It was incredibly frustrating.

Luckily, I bought some cheap Smiths as backups and had no issues with those at all. I love the wide visibility of these and how easy it is to swap lenses, but looks like I’ll need to go with a different company for my next pair.

This also is just an issue with the 2 low light lenses I’ve tried. The dark shaded lens has been great for bluebird days.

I have had Electric goggles since 2013. Love the wide views. Clear lenses. The look of them and way they fit. Took pictures but no where to upload. My latest order of 2 lenses, cloudy and sunny lenses, came with a small scratch and the clear and tinted lenses separated at the nose while out on the mountain testing them out for the first day.

This lead to immediate fogging of the lenses, snow trapped in the goggles, and just a terrible goggle and vision day. Out of the 5-6 lenses I own. This was the only time. I’m sure someone from Electric will make it right.

I really like the egg goggles they fit much better than the previous goggles I have had. My smith goggles sat very close to the edge of my eyes and do not have enough padding around the nose but the eggs are perfect.

The photochromic blue chrome lens is also great. It works well in cloudy conditions and bright sun. I use the yellow blue chrome for night boarding.

These lenses are probably better than the stock Oakley lenses. They fit my Two Face frames perfectly, come with a torx bit mini screwdriver, cleaning cloth, and good protective shipping box and foam padding.

I am really impressed with the level of polarized light filtering that these lenses provide. They are not as dark as the stock grey lenses, but they are dark enough to hide your eyes from someone looking directly at you.

They are not a mirror finish, but have a slight reflective finish on the exterior. The color, clarity, fit and finish of these lenses are superior. And best of all, you can’t beat the price. If I ever scratch these lenses (as I eventually always do), I won’t be that upset, because the pricepoint is very inexpensive.

I plan of purchasing more of these lenses for my other Oakley sunglasses. Very highly recommended!.

I bought a different company’s lenses here on Ebay, and sadly, the metallic coating on them began to come off, making the lenses look like they were scratched. Ikon’s lenses have held up pretty well so far, and look to be of better materials and quality.

Would definitely recommend.

This is my second set of replacement lenses. Tried another brand first, but they did not perform as good as these ones. Really happy and made my Oakleys into my favorite pair of sunglasses!

This product is my husband’s go to. We’ve tried several other brands in the past. These last the longest!

The product IS clear. Uh.. Oh, it fits and protects my Truesight. What else is there. Its a protective lens. The price isn’t that outrageous either, so. All in all, I am happy with them.

One of my pro mentors cued me to this adapter to marry vintage Mamiya 645 glass to my Fuji GFX. Unlike previous adapters I used on other cameras, its an on/off, not permanently bonded. You’ll need to toggle the Fuji to shoot without lens, as these are manual, not electronic.

AF ain’t. Peak focus if you have doubts, and enjoy the al-dente.

KIPON Lens Adapter for Mamiya 645: With one other 645 adapter of this type to compare – The Kipon is most near Fujifilm quality. A substantial adapter, clean design, tight connection.

I have four different Mamiya lenses and this works for all of them. The only reason I give it four stars is because it is not as tight as I would like. There is a little bit of play such that it does not feel as tight as I would like.

It does get the job done though.

I’d been looking at fisheye lenses for quite some time and wanted something designed for a crop frame camera. The price range is immense from an unbranded Korean lens on ebay to a fully automatic Sigma.

I was wary about the quality of the cheaper ones especially as reviews tend to say they produce quite soft images, yet I know I’ll never use one enough to justify the more expensive one. The Lensbaby is a great compromise on price – cheap enough for me as an amateur user, but no compromise on quality.

In fact quite the opposite, this lens produces great images while also having the creative fun factor that is associated with Lensbaby. One bit of advice, as this lens is just over 180° be aware that your feet may end up in the picture :).

I like fisheye lenses and the LensBaby is the keeper, after trying the 8mm Rokinon/Samyang (non circular) and the 6. 5mm Meike on my Fujifilm APS-C cameras. Two reasons for that: 1. The lens is not specifically made for the Fuji mount and because of that there is an extension ring between the lens body and Fuji mount.

This adds some extra length to it (i. e. longer distance between the front element and the mount) which makes easier to not include your fingers in the frame. Yes, 5. 8mm give a very unusually wide field of view.

2. Being 5. 8mm, it gives a perfectly circular image on the APS-C Fujifilm sensors and this is what I was going for. That being said, a circular Fisheye lens can be a very creative tool if used by the right person and is definitely a fun toy for every photographer that likes circular fisheyes.

End notes:-The easy way to remove the front cap is by pulling from on side only-Extreme flare is part of the equation and fun of circular Fisheyes.

Images are good for an inexpensive lens. Build quality is not as good as I expected from Lensbaby, but I think it’s in line with the price. It’s not a lens I’m going to use a lot and I didnt want to spend 3 times as much on a Nikon or Sigma brand.

This one should work just fine for limited use.

Having Age-Related Macular Degeneration, I was told to use blue blocker glasses. I checked online for the best-rated glasses and yours was the highest rated and the best price. You won on both counts with both my son and me.

This lens does not fit over my glasses. If you do wear glasses get the bulkier Uvex Ultra-spec 2000 Orange model S0360X. I cuts out all blue light has adjustable temple and fits over my plastic frame Ray Ban glasses sized 54-17-145.
