22 Best Lego Tables For Adults (2023 Updated)

With the Downtown Diner. the Lego Creator Expert Modular Building series has just entered its second decade with style and flair. Aside from a wonderfully detailed diner, it also features a fighting clinic, a recording studio, and a pink open top convertible.

The stylistic features of Downtown Diner mark a new beginning for this series, which up until now had a distinctly 1940s flavour. Downtown Diner takes its cue from the Googie style that was typical of 1950s American diners.

It has a marvelous jukebox inspired facade, and other stylistic flourishes that suggest an art deco influence. A controversial aspect of the kit is that the minifigures no longer feature the classic smiley faces which were a staple of the Creator Expert Modular Building series during its first decade.

I personally prefer the more expressive characters included in this kit, two of which are double faced. The recording engineer is my favourite, she looks very smart, while the rocker has a wonderful, glittery jacket.

There is also a boxer and trainer, and a chef and a waitress on roller blades. There are some great sub assemblies in this kit, like the water cooler, the jukebox, and the candy dispenser. I have a background in sound production and was really impressed with the level of detail afforded to the recording studio – and the entire kit is equally as impressive in its overall detail.

The whole build process was a real delight – I found myself in awe of the amazing talents of the design team that came up with this, there were some very clever techniques that I have never experienced before in a Lego kit.

I am really pleased with this addition to my Lego town, and would recommend this kit to any serious Lego fan.

This is a great addition to the LEGO modular city. My son loved it, as did I. It has 6 unique figures;- a cook, a waitress, a boxer, a gym attendee, a singer and song producer/mixer. It’s also an interesting build, as you build the diner at the bottom floor with juke box,then then boxing gym with boxing ring of course, and finally on top the recording studio.

There’s also a pink Cadillac to build, which suits the Elvis looking singer. Many have said that this may not match the other modular sets, but I think it’s beautiful and reminds me of those 5o’s themed restaurants that appear in real cities in between your normal buildings.

Would look great next to the cinema/ theatre picture set if you have it. A definite two thumbs up!.

Got this in a great sale from Myer eBay store (thanks Myer!) and built it with my 10 year old son and we both really enjoyed it. I’m an Adult Fan of Lego (AFOL) and have built a few of the other modulars in the last 2-3 years but this is my son’s first one and he had absolutely no issue putting this together, in the end I just did the bits he didn’t want to 🙂 It’s a really immersive and enjoyable build with so many great little features – like the recording studio on one of the floors.

It’s fresh and colourful and really nice to look at. My son loved building it and so did I – definitely the best modular I’ve built (though closely followed by The Old Fishing Store which is also worth getting).

IšverstiShow in original languageFirstly, building a Lego rollercoaster was always a dream of mine. This set got me back into LEGO after years of never buying a set. It’s a fantastic set, albeit with some draw backs.

Pros -It’s really big, but it needs to be. -It looks great! -It has some nice finishing touches, like the pond, juice stand, candy floss stand etc. -It’s a realistic rollercoaster. By that I mean you would get the same sort of layout in a Pinfari Zyclon (a popular fairground coaster), which this set is a similar style to.

It’s also has a switch track and a proper station + working chain lift. -Nice selection of minifigures -Very good value for money – It almost always makes it round the track without stalling. Cons -The green base plates do feel a little sparse.

Some more decoration would have been welcome. -Building the white supporting pillars does get very repetitive. -It would have been nice to get one more minifigure to fill out the train completely NOTE: This final con only applies if you use the powered up elements that you have to buy separately – The powered up do not work well with this set, and they aren’t cheap either.

The chain lifts slows to a compete crawl. The motor just doesn’t seem strong enough and will jam every now and then. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this set. It has very few flaws, and the only major one is the optional powered up stuff.

Widziałem bardziej złożone i ruszające się zestawy, które były tańsze. Nie mniej po złożeniu robi niesamowite wrażenie i aż chce się nim bawić, a pisze te słowa 25 letni bezdzietny facet, który odczuwa dziecięcą radość z ruszających się wagoników i ustawiając zawarte w zestawie figurki w scenki niczym na dioramie.

IšverstiShow in original languageI loved building this, and I love what I have now. I even got the motor and bluetooth remote and it sits on my credenza behind me in my office so my clients and coworkers can see it.

It works perfectly – dozens of runs without any derailment. That said, it must be noted that getting to this condition was far from easy. The tracks must be just about perfectly aligned for the cars to be drawn up by the chain without derailing.

This was incredibly frustrating as there are a few locations on the uphill track where the junctions between track segments are not supported by any structure below. At these junctions is where the cars can cause the track to come apart a few mm, just enough for the cars to derail.

Worse, repairing the misalignment may cause an adjacent section to go misaligned and you end up with a whack-a-mole situation. All I can say is hang in there – the right amount of pressure applied to these junctions will set the track right.

My experience is to be patient with it and it will run without any further adjustment. You just need to be aware of these tendencies in the track.

This set looks great, but it is hindered by serious design flaws that make the final build thoroughly disappointing. The first flaw: the crank mechanism to move the cars up the long slope and along the top half-loop does not work.

It cannot handle the torque and constantly pops out of place. I counted it doing so at least 3 times just to get the car to do 1 revolution around the track. The second flaw: the long slope itself is not supported sufficiently and parts of it are constantly popping out of place.

Fix one element, another pops out. I’ve checked and re-checked the instructions to make sure I followed them correctly. I did. I’ve even re-built sections just to test other methods. Nothing has worked.

It’s been a thoroughly frustrating experience. I would consider refunding if I could. For a set that runs almost $400, this one needed more time in the review process.

Très bon produit (solidité des LEGO), les enfants se sont bien amusés ainsi que les grands enfants. Point positif : les couleurs et la diversité des “chevaux”, Point négatif : dommage de devoir acheter un pack pour motoriser le manège, mais il fonctionne parfaitement sans.

Très belle pièce, c’est sûr ! Détails soignés, bel escalier, beaux animaux. Cet objet est remarquable, et très bien consu. Ca taille est assez importante ce qui permet d’avoir beaucoup de détail. Sinon, je recommande ce set, qui viendra agrémenter la grande roue.

IšverstiShow in original languageOd dawna czaiłem się na ten zestaw i gdy tylko pojawił się w dość atrakcyjnej cenie, bez wahania przydusiłem przycisk “kup teraz”. Zestaw jest niesamowity. Poprzez ilość elementów oraz dość skomplikowany mechanizm składnia, trzeba przygotować cały wieczór.

Jednakże frajda jaka towarzyszy układaniu, może zastąpić nawet nieprzespaną noc. Po kilku godzinach zmagań, dostajemy prawie pół metra szeroki i 30 cm wysoki majstersztyk prosto z biura architektów Lego w Billund.

Polecam każdemu, nie tylko zapalonym miłośnikom astronomii, ponieważ w gronie rodziny jak i przyjaciół będzie się czym chwalić. Aż mam ochotę rozebrać ten set i złożyć na nowo.

En het klopt tot in de details! Niet super moeilijk, maar wel een leuke ervaring. Het is een flink gevaarte als het af is. Heel mooi hoe het zo’n zwevende constructie is die toch behoorlijk stabiel blijkt.

De space shuttle die er bij zit is wat grof, maar dat is logisch op deze schaal. En het is een leuke toevoeging. Kortom, een echte aanrader (zeker naast de Saturn V, de maanlander en de Space Shuttle Discovery)!.

IšverstiShow in original languageThis is an awesome lego set! I like it so much that I put it in front of my window so that lots of people can see it. My favorite is the Saturn V rocket, but this is my second favorite lego set.

Its value for money is pretty good, however, I have found that the Saturn V rocket was a little better moneywise. A reason why I enjoy this lego set so much is because it is a great decoration. It also has a bunch of moving parts so I can change how it looks.

Although it has many things I like about it, there are some minor things that I do not like. The thing that I worry about most is the set collapsing. One reason that it might break is because some of the pieces have stress.

I also feel that it is a little unstable on the stand that it is on. I worry that if something shakes the table that it is sitting on, it may fall off of the stand and collapse. I also found bag 6, the last bag, to be very repetitive.

In it, I had to build the same thing 8 times! All in all, this lego set is 4. 5 stars to me and you would enjoy this lego set if you bought it.

IšverstiShow in original languageBuild time 48 hours – Re- build time (Bags 36 t0 42) 9 hours 35 mins over 15 days. Before you all go – How long? – Read on: – First, I am 74 years old, enjoying my second childhood.

I chose to take my time and enjoy the build experience, given I normally build Technic sets. I must compliment the design team for an excellent model and history lesson contained in the instruction’s manuals throughout the build.

Also, the realistic item included in the hold, but never to be seen after the build. (You must build the set to find out what it is) The main box contains three boxes, each box contains the Bow, Mid and Stern build, you can choose to build any in any order you like.

Each box contains consecutive numbered bags of LEGO which when complete results in two individual parts of the ship. These then clip together permanently to form one third of the ship. The Build: – Unfortunately, disaster did strike early! I was about to complete the first section when I discovered I had put the forward mast block in the hold, the wrong way around (see page 45 of the instructions).

This resulted in the mast sloping forward towards the Bow instead of the Stern. Interesting, but not pretty! Given at this stage of the build the only access was a small 4 x 4 hole in the deck, to insert the mast.

I decided to remove the Port side of the boat to gain access, but that failed as the block was secured by several of the interior LEGO strut systems and these was blocking all access to the incorrectly positioned part.

My next option was to remove all the top section of the deck, but again this means I would need to undo most of the upper structure, which I felt it may not meet my desired goal and this later proved correct.

I then decided to try and poke my tweezers through the tiny hole in the deck while shinning a torch in a lame attempt to dislodge the part. Luckily, during this process a complete 1 x 4 x 8 plate section on the deck lifted off allowing full access into the hold.

It’s something the designer built in to allow access should the mast come out. They don’t tell you this in the instructions. Anyway, as good as this was, it would not allow me to turn the mast block around as that was firmly fixed.

I was getting close to undoing all my work and to start rebuilding from scratch. I then began to think what would “Brickmaster” do in this situation? I decided not to give in and find a solution. After couple of hours experimenting with spare Technic parts, I came up with a modification to the part holding the mast, which successfully reversed it into the correct position.

The build continued smoothly until disaster struck again in the final section of box 3, when I accidently knocked the almost completed Stern section off the table and watched as it crashed onto the floor.

Although I attempted to put it back together there were too many parts scattered around to make this viable. The 9hrs 35 mins rebuild of Bags 36 to 42 then began, this included breaking all the parts down and checking they were all there.

At the end of the build, I was pleased to note that LEGO quality control managed to have all the pieces required to build the set, along with the usual small spare items. All in all, I would recommend this set as a good experience and fun to build, although the number of portholes did make my aging finger tips soar.

IšverstiShow in original languageThis is probably one of the most enjoyable Lego builds I have completed. I was a little worried that it was going to be too repetitive, and whilst there is a bit of repetition, it wasn’t actually that bad.

The end result however, speaks for itself. It is an imposing display piece that is not only extremely solid, but can be pulled apart into sections to reveal the internal workings. The way the hull was created and built blew my mind.

I don’t know how the Lego designers come up with this stuff, but keep up the great work and release more sets like this.

IšverstiShow in original languageA mammoth build, and I enjoyed every second. Surprisingly light on Technic, with a lot of ‘traditional’ brick building. The attention to detail is incredible as is the innovation in achieving the shape.

You won’t appreciate the size of the final product until you see it for yourself. Have room available for this beautiful model! One of LEGO’s finest kits, can’t recommend it enough.

Just finished building this set this week. I’ve built all four of the Technic supercars now and this is the most detailed and visually stunning one of the lot. There are no stickers to worry about as all of the parts are printed.

There are a couple of mistakes in the instructions to watch out for, but otherwise a very fulfilling set!.

From the outset this is a stunning Lego set, the packaging, the manual and finished item are just a sight to behold. This won’t disappoint the buyer. Just begs to be displayed once completed (even the box does too).

This set is awesome! Zavvi delivered really quickly and the product was well packaged and the retail box arrived in pristine condition which is important for collectors and builders alike. Top marks Zavvi.

Dettagli e trovate strutturali molto belli e interessanti, il risultato finale è davvero d’impatto; per quanto avrei apprezzato tribune e curve leggermente più grandi per fare entrare le scritte per intero, capisco bene che le proporzioni avrebbero subito cambiamenti.

Da dire anche che, nonostante sia stata la prima volta che ho dovuto applicare stickers, mi sono divertito a “combattere” munito di acqua e sapone per applicarli al meglio (grazie internet per i trucchi del mestiere).

Detto questo, avere pezzi pre-stampati è comunque preferibile. L’unica pecca è che ho trovato alcuni pezzi trasparenti per fare le vetrate graffiate, credo durante il trasporto. Forse imbustarli a parte sarebbe stato meglio? Chissà.

In definitiva, consigliatissimo a tutti i fan di strutture, calcio e, chiaramente, Lego.

IšverstiShow in original languageAt first I was a little bummed because I thought it would be bigger as far as the dimensions go, but as I started to get into the build, I felt it was the right size.

I was really impressed by the level of detail, especially with the roof support beams and exterior concourse. There are a fair amount of stickers, so being that this was my fourth project since Christmas, I got good practice with placement and alignment! The instructions booklet was very well done and has a great summary of Man U and some of the highlights of their storied past.

I really enjoyed the process of building it. It wasn’t super challenging like the Land Rover that I completed prior, but after it was all said and done, I really like looking at the detail of the finished product when on display.

I would recommend it! On to the Bugatti Chiron next!.

Einer davon produziert sogar nur in der EU. Das verstehe ich unter “Das Beste”. Lego, bitte erinnert euch zurück: Da wart ihr vor nicht so langer Zeit und dafür lieben wir AFOLs euch, seit wir Kinder waren.

Lots storage place, keep tidy and clean. The only downside I feel is a bit low for tall kids. Overall, still a good purchase and we enjoy it.

My son isn’t really a big fan of the stool, I feel like a chair would be more comfortable when they are sitting there for an extended period of time.

IšverstiShow in original languageI bought this for my two kids who are almost three and six years old. It was easy to assemble, though I did use a power drill for the last of the screws, when my hand gave out using the manual screwdriver.

I love that it comes with the lego baseplates and can easily be used for legos or art, two things my kids love. Pros: It’s plenty of space for two kids to work. The surface wipes clean of paint easily with water.

The storage underneath is great, as are the marker cups on top. I love the ridge on top that keeps crayons from rolling onto the floor. Cons: If you don’t have the blue trays in, little things can fall in the cracks and are difficult to retrieve.

It would be nice if it came with plugs to use when not using the trays. Note: This only comes with one stool. I took off one star for the stuff getting stuck in the cracks, because I’ve spent a fair amount of time fishing tiny legos out of there, trying not to resort to dumping the whole table upside down.

Overall, this is a solid product I see us using for years. It’s sturdy and very versatile.

IšverstiShow in original languageYM son really loved this table. Playing with the image on one side, and the lego bases on the other is awesome, and he is able to flip it himself. Unfortunately, the top’s corner got a bit messed up, so I wanted to replace it.

When I go through the replacement ordering, as indicated by support, it says that I cannot get the top as my order is from too long ago (even though this is still being sold). If you purchased this, please send me you batch number so I can have a “new” batch number to order the replacement.

IšverstiShow in original languageIt does work with real Lego brand. The one side of the table was a little warped so the pieces that slide in to mesh with all four sides of table was a little unsturdy.

It was a nice finish but it will easily scratch. The table height is probably ok for standing height of a 3 year old maybe 4 year old. If you use chairs I doubt the kids will be able to put their knees under the table.

A 5 yr old could probably kneel next to it like parents. Storage is decent. Not much to the train table but I bought it more for the legos. It suits its purpose for lego storage and building in the table.

Also, little ones that are able to walk and reach can reach into table to get legos to put in their mouth so make sure you are watching little ones around this table.

You can’t actually play with the Lego inside the storage area while the Lego building base is on the table. Oops! Apart from that design flaw the desk is very sturdy and looks high end for the cost.

Put on waiting list. Never refunded money or sent replacement four months later. Plastic is brittle and thin. Holds about two cups of Legos. Legos are hard to put on pegs and harder to remove. Adult must do that.

Not the soft comfy plastic of L. T. toys. Dangerous if cracks. Broken edges as sharp as knives.

IšverstiShow in original languageI got this table for my kids who enjoy building tables together. This table is well made with great lego storage feature; the storage fits enough legos for 2 propel building a medium size structure.

The storage lid fits and snaps easily into place and is easy to take off. The only thing I don’t like about this set is the chairs, I feel the plastic I very light and thin which will make it harder to use as kid grow and gain weight, and the caps for the chair legs site useless because they keep coming out of place causing he chairs to feel wobbly.

In general I recommend the set to encourage cosplay but be ready to need the change of seats at some point.

IšverstiShow in original languageMy girls (4&7) love this! It was incredibly easy to put together and is very lightweight and easy for them to move around. They have so much fun with the built in surface for the building bricks, and I love that it has the lid to become a regular table.

They’ve used it for drawing and snack time as well. Very versatile little table.

The table can be used as a little desk, craft table, Lego table, and more and for the price we think it is a great bargain! We have been testing the table for about a month and are thrilled to say it definitely holds up to a four year old banging toys on it, building elaborate zoos on it, creating imaginary worlds on it, as well as using it as a writing and coloring table.

The table top is definitely large enough for two kids to play comfortably and there are removable building block base plates. We love that there are four cups that can be used to hold crayons, pencils, pens, craft supplies, etc.

There are also four small bins that can be used to store Legos, cars, craft supplies, animals (if your little one likes to set up animals as much my little guy does), or anything else you can think of.

At first I was surprised the bins were smaller than I thought they would be, but they are a great size for keeping small toys organized and off the floor. I have enjoyed watching my son switch out what he wants on the table and in the bins almost daily.

Sometimes crafts, sometimes all blocks and cars, sometimes all animals. but whatever he is using it for, it seems to do the trick and keep him entertained and happy. *I received a Build & Store Block Activity table to review, but no other form of compensation was provided and all opinions expressed are my own.

IšverstiShow in original languageI received this set as a Christmas gift and felt inclined to write a review. As a lifelong United supporter who’s watched many matches from the Stretford End, I was truly amazed by the quality, accuracy and precision of this lego set.

So many small details are included – from the dugouts to the stand labeling to the clock tower honoring the Munich air disaster – and the stadium is super realistic compared to the real life Old Trafford.

The designers at Lego clearly did their research and produced a marvelous set that was a joy to build! I hope to see Lego continue creating sets for the world’s most famous football stadiums and other sporting venues.

IšverstiShow in original languageAs an avid MUFC fan and Lego fan I thought this the ideal build for my collection. The actual build is really good and detailed, alot better than I anticipated. But unfortunately that’s where it ends.

The stadium needs to be bigger for such a build and iconic stadium, especially for the price paid. Also the connector rods for the pitch and stadiums need to be better, kept unfastening. There’s alot of stickers which can be annoying but that’s part of build.

Just need a good eye and steady hand. Other than that I do like it. Just really wish it was double the size.

IšverstiShow in original languageWe use these tables for our school desks at home. I like the fact that you can adjust the height of the table. They are very solid, heavy and stable. You can purchase them in different sizes and different heights too.

We have one with the shorter legs for our youngest and two with the taller legs for the older two. We have the longer legs set to the lowest so we will get many years of use out of them.

It is big enough for us to do puzzles, color etc. If price may be stopping you forget it, this is soooo worth it! I know this will be used by all the grandkids still to come!.

IšverstiShow in original languageI really don’t feel this was worth $100. It’s a good concept, but quality seems a little on the cheap side. There’s dried glue residue all around the top of the table, I’m guessing the glue they use to glue the lego top on.

The screws that connect the table top to the base don’t go in easily, and when you do get them in you don’t know if you did it right because the table top wiggles around. The two top pieces open okay, but again they wiggle around so it feels like they’re not secure.

Then to close them you have to force it a little, and then it seems like it goes over a hump. They don’t slide back into place on their own, you have to adjust it so the two pieces come together and in the right spot after you slide them closed.

The base is nice and sturdy. I wish the top pieces connected and opened more securely. The quality of the materials is good, it’s the design that needs attention. And the glue residue everywhere.

The instructions looked very confusing and difficult until I was able to lay out all the pieces and visualize the instructions with the parts at hand. Some of the screws that it came with to put together were bent and the heads nearly stripped, they were also very difficult to screw into the small piece they are meant to go into.

I was very disappointed when the box arrived as it was falling apart and looked like it was taped together in many places, the Styrofoam inside was shredded into pieces which lead to several areas of the wood being scratched and chipped due to shipping.

One of the pieces that allows for the top to move back and forth was completely broken off the table and unable to be put back together. Overall the table design and product would be impeccable, if only the product had been packaged correctly and securely.

This building table or as my grandson prefers, his Lego table is the perfect buy for any building block enthusiast! It is the perfect size for my grand’s to play at together (when my Princess visits) or when my grandson is home alone.

It can be moved easily from one room to another. The collapsible bins are the perfect size for a multitude of Lego’s. The best part is the table splits for individual play areas or can be slid together for a larger area.

The cons, the wood appears a little flimsy in areas. Overall, it is a nice piece of play “furniture”.
