20 Best Leggings For Tall Women (2023 Updated)

These are actually long enough! I’m ‘only’ 5’ 8” but most of my height is in my legs. Showing me information that “the model is 5’ 10” is useless; you need to know the inseam and AT reports a small inseam (I forget what they said for these, or if they even said).

my inseam is 35”. But others reported good lengths in their reviews so I decided to try a pair. Normally this has me returning them. I am amazed to report that while these leggings measured 32” out of the bag, they comfortably stretched (and stay) for my full length.

Will be getting more.

The length is perfect. The fabric is thin and provides no support anywhere. These mat as well be pajama pants. All my imperfections show through , my stomach just hangs out. I can wear these at home to clean house , I won’t wear these in public.

I think the quality is poor. Are these made in China ?? I’m willing to pay for quality. I don’t consider this quality. I won’t order Again. I won’t recommend. don’t want anything made in China.

These are my go to leggings. I’ve tried just about every retailer that sells “tall leggings” and not one can compare to these. They are the perfect length, soft and durable. The waist hugs your body instead of squishing it (if you know what I mean).

They are not see through. I would definitely size down in these because of the stretch. I’m 5’9, 155lbs and usually a 8 tall. A small tall fit perfect in these.

I bought these tights a few weeks ago, and I wear them for pickleball. I read the reviews and ordered up so I wasn’t “compressed. ” Size XL works and fits comfortably. The fabric – 88% polyester/12% spandex – is heavy and warm, very warm for pickleball.

I wanted tights with pockets, but the third time I wore them the hem on one pocket came undone and a hem piece of lining fabric (?) fell out. I don’t think they are designed for you take something in and our of your pocket frequently.

My ultimate test is, would I buy the item again? I would say no for these tights.

I initially bought these because the tall option guarantees that they will be long enough for me – and along with the pockets that made the decision easier. After receiving them and wearing them (every day) – I have come to appreciate so much more about them.

The compression in the leggings is perfect and makes them that much more comfortable. So much so, that I bought another pair and a pair for my 15 year old granddaughter for Christmas. It’s pretty hard to please multiple generations – but these leggings certainly did.

I can’t stop singing the praises of these leggings- nor can I rotate them out of my daily wardrobe. I can never find leggings long enough, but the tall size in these are perfect. I also bought a pair for my 15 year old granddaughter and I was hoping she would like them.

She is 5’9”- so I bought her tall also. When I picked her up from school one day last week, she mentioned that we were wearing matching leggings. So hers were a hit too!.

What an absolute treat! These leggings look great. They have light compression, and they are not transparent unless I really stretch the fabric. They are really and truly long enough! I am 5’10”, and there is even enough fabric to have a bit of scrunch at my ankles.

I was never a big leggings girl, but these leggings converted me. I bought the blue color about two years ago and wear them constantly with my moisture wicking tunic and serious sweats tunic. They have washed and worn so well that they still look new.

The fit is perfect, they are so soft, and the weight is just right (not see through at all even when stretched). I watched to see if more colors would come out since I don’t wear much black, but they never did so I just finally gave in and ordered the black.

I’m so glad I did! I’ve already worn them twice this week. They look great with the green color in the moisture wicking tunic! More colors please!.

I went on a mission to find the best workout leggings. Of all the brands, these are the best for the price. Not see-through and bo movement with squats. Seriously, I would buy about a million pairs if they were shorter, instead of full length.

I bought these leggings about a year ago and am absolutely delighted with them! I have 3 in my rotation now and 2 more in the package for later. They are that perfect. I love the fit and the comfort but the best thing about them is the quality of material.

These leggings are still black and look new after 20 washings. Throw in the dryer and you have your black leggings looking brand new for next time. No sagging, no stretching out. Just perfect.

My first pair was the high waist regular length. They were a bit long but I’m short and deal with this all the time, no big deal. My second pair in black I decided to try the 7/8 length. Perfect for me.

Since wearing this style I’ve noticed that the leggings slide down with regular activities. I wear a M and I think the small might be too constricting. I’ll just have to deal with this. The leggings are so comfortable, durable functional and easy to care for I’m thinking of getting another pair.

Wish there was another color, perhaps a dark blue. The leggings give your body a great shape with just the right amount of stretch for comfort.

I am so happy with these leggings. After reading the reviews from others who bought them, I ordered mine a size smaller than I would normally wear so that I would have a snug compression fit. I was not disappointed.

If you are looking for a more lounge wear or baggy fit, I suggest ordering a size up. For wearing during workouts etc, order your normal size. And if you are wanting a snug compression fit, order a size down.

The material is a good, thick material, but not hot like I’ve experienced with other thick-weighted leggings. I can highly recommend these leggings! And the price is perfect for those who like a bargain.

They are more of a dress pant material than leggings but I am going to wear them for church on Sunday. They are high waisted on me which is great because most high waisted pants fit lower on me because I am tall.

I would love it if this company could make leggings like this with a lighter stretchier material for yoga. I would buy those also!.

If you have any doubts, let me clear it up for you! GET THIS LEGGING!! This is by far my favorite legging. It’s my favorite legging to wear anywhere and everywhere. It looks soo chic. I have a galaxy s20 and the phone fits perfectly in the back pocket.

I’ve gone running with it there and it stays. Since my phone case is also my wallet, it’s pretty thick and heavy. I didn’t feel like it was pulling down my legging at all. This shows me the material of the legging is very good! I got the low impact sports bra to go with it and I’ve received so many compliments.

The outfit makes me feel good and it makes me feel slimmer and sucked in, but it doesn’t make me feel suffocated. I’m 150 pounds, a size 6 in jeans and size 4 in jeggings. I got the size Medium legging.

And I honestly am waiting until my bank account lets me buy like 10 more of this pair of legging because it’s that good! If you’re in the colder area then I would advise you to layer this legging up with other stuff.

I’m in Minnesota, and when it was colder – 20 F I layered this legging over another fabletic legging and it felt like my skin. I have no complaint. I love this legging. Get it, get it, just get it if you’re having second thoughts.

Just a tad too long. The fit and coverage are definitely there with bounce! They stay put and never move and they’re definitely flattering on. I’m only 5’5 but have a longer inseam (you’re height does NOT matter ppl, it’s the length of your legs) and sometimes i want something that covers my ankle which 25” do not do.

28” was just a bit too long n caused a bit of bunching. Otherwise, bounce material is great!.

Absolutely love this material. Perfect to dress up or wear to the gym. The removal of the front inseam is absolutely genius and don’t know why they were ever put there to begin with. I sized down so they wouldn’t roll down or sag and they fit my legs perfectly and stay on my waist.

For reference I have a small waist and bigger muscular legs. 26” waist, 5’0 and 125lbs.

I got these to match the Solstice 2. 0 bra in shimmer. Unfortunately, these just don’t work for me. I’m very used to a high waisted band, not the v-shape that these provide. They are very nice leggings, but just aren’t a style I’d reach for.

The length of them is perfect and the shimmer was nice, but I’m returning due to my personal taste!.

I was told these were Lululemon Align dupe leggings. They are extremely soft, have a good amount of strecth and are really good quality. I am normally a size 4/27 in pants and got a size small and they fit well.

I have wide hips and they get over just fine. The v-shape also looks really nice when wearing!.

I thought for sure small was way too small. I wore the mediums to workout and throughout the workout they kept falling down and I was moving around inside of them. I tried the smalls on multiple times, and over time, got easier to put on.

So I guess they do open up after awhile. Decided to buy all smalls. I hope they don’t lost compression over time. Part of the smoothing is that they are tight, not highly compressive. Gap tights are highly compressive but not tight enough, just for comparison.

Now that I’ve figured this out, PLEASE make them in a just below the knee length for summer!!.

I have been wearing this brand since 2014 and it’s always been great. I’ve stuck to the essential collection and bought these in pure black for the first time. They are tight! But true to her sizes. They smooth out every lump or bump and stay in place.

I love the essentials collection, but I will probably stick to these from now on just due to how smoothing they are. With the essentials collection, the material is different and while they are still amazing they just don’t pull off what these leggings do.

I normally wear a medium in a Nike workout legging. I saw the Calia Animal Mineral pattern in these leggings at the store but there was only one pair and it was a size large. I tried them on as they didn’t look “large” and they fit comfortably with no gaps.

In reading the recent reviews on Calia, it seems the sizing may be off, perhaps they have a new manufacturer. I think it’s helpful to read reviews that tell something about body size (weight/height).

I’ve bought these last year for work and they where great. Nice thickness of fleece. I live in Ontario and wore them walking 15 min to work middle of wiNter about -27 no problem I work deli so also frequently in cooler/freezers and these where the best ever.

They lasted till about beginning of sprin wich is great with COVID and messy work I wash clothes frequently. And chub rub was taking its toll by then. As I’m shure you can tell I had high hopes for these and bought them right away I was so exited.

Grr I wish I’d bought a second pair last year becuse THESE ARE TERRABLE for Canadian winters. This is VARY THIN MATERIAL and I know they will not hold up well. Irly have to hope I can find thicker leggings else where or hope you get better plain black in idk.

They’ll do for now but as I’m washing frequently and my thighs rub when walking I’m shure they’ll die quick. On the positive They are a smith lightwheght material if that’s what you need. They go up over my stomach and do not move.

they do not 0fall down or slip at all (It’s my fav thing about them for example my torrid cargo pocket ones same size slip constantly).

I have tried a lot of different leggings. And I mean A LOT. These are by far my favorite leggings that I have ever had, and I promptly bought multiple more pairs as well as all the available colors. They are reasonably thick, the fleece lining is soft, warm and cozy, and they are super comfy! Also, although I was not looking for this, they do seem to have a bit of a slimming effect, without feeling like it at all.

Most importantly, in my opinion, they are completely opaque, even when bending over or wearing brightly patterned panties, and they stay up!!! I work with kids and often spend a lot of time playing with them on floor, running around, climbing on playground equipment, etc.

and these leggings can handle it all. They have a thick waist band, which I love, but not so wide it rolls down, and it sits on my natural waist. I am generally a size 20/22, or a 2 or 3 at Torrid, and typically go with a 3 in bottoms, as I did with these and they fit great! (For reference I’m 5’7″, 44″ waist, 58″ hip.

) I prefer my leggings to be on the looser side though, rather than skin tight or compression style, and the 3 is great in that regard. It mostly fits tight but doesn’t look or feel like I painted them on, and could be passed off as ponte pants if necessary.

At first I wasn’t sure about the smooth outer material as it does have a tiny bit of sheen, but its grown on me as it helps in making them look a bit more pant like and becomes super soft to the touch after one wash/wear.

Definitely recommend if you’re a leggings fan! Especially if you live in colder climates.

I’ve always loved Torrids leggings out of any others but something definitely changed. These used to be the perfect size. I’ve been wearing them over 10 years. I just ordered 3 pairs and they are completely different in every way.

They are way too short on me and I’m only 5 2′. They used to fit like a glove with a little extra around the ankle i liked having to tuck into boots and booties but now they’re like high waters on me.

And the material is cheap and see through. They also seem faded before washing. There also seems to be a little flare at the ankle which is not very appealing when wanting a legging. The quality has gone down but the price had gone up.

Probably won’t be buying them again in the future.

This was my first purchase from Woolx, after much deliberation on sizing. I called customer support right before I ordered, and they were super helpful in helping me decide between two sizes. I ordered the dark gray color and they literally go with just about everything in my winter wardrobe.

These leggings are form-fitting, comfortable, and warm while still being breathable. The waistband is excellent, wide and comfortable with zero sliding down and needing to be pulled up. I can totally see why so many women here say they practically live in these! The seams are also very well stitched, and these seem like they will last a long time if they are well cared-for.

I’ve never invested in a pair of leggings over $100 before and I can tell you that this purchase was worth every penny. Extremely high quality and versatile. I spend a lot of time outside and these have been great for walking my dog and hiking in colder temperatures.

I found other reviews really helpful when they mentioned sizing, so for reference, I am 5’6″ and 138, with an athletic build and really muscular legs — these leggings fit well all over and are in no way difficult to pull on/off.

I’ve had trouble finding leggings that check all the boxes, but now the search is over. I was a little worried by the term “heavyweight,” since I live in a pretty temperate climate, but these are great at climate control.

Felt warm and comfortable in windy, cool conditions but not too hot when it warmed up and I was out in the sun. I love that these are thick enough that I can confidently wear without worrying about any transparency.

(They are also the first leggings I’ve found that don’t show pantylines. ) I also appreciate the waist–it doesn’t feel excessively high-waisted but is high enough and sewn such that it never rolls down, a constant battle for me with other leggings.

Also: I have sensitive skin and a bit of a wool sensitivity, but have had no issues whatsoever after several weeks of wearing. I ordered a few sizes/styles since these were my first Woolx purchase and I am often between a medium and large at most brands.

I kept the medium, but the larges could have worked, too. just more like a pant than a legging fit. For folks looking for more compression, I recommend the McKenna, which I also tried when ordering. The medium McKenna was tighter on me than the medium Stella.

These seemed pricey when I ordered them, but the quality is worth every penny. I will be ordering more Woolx in the future.

Oh where to start on my favorite pair of leggings ever. I literally live in my Stella leggings the second it gets below 60 degrees. I bought my first pair over a year ago and they have somehow gotten more comfortable over time.

They are durable, not see-thru, and fit incredibly well. I try to wear natural fibers whenever possible because I overheat in synthetics and I spent a loooong time looking for a good pair of natural fiber leggings.

The Stellas are it! WoolX has improved the fabric and fit over the past year, as I just purchased two new pairs and they are somehow softer and smoother than my first pair. They also tightened up the ankle opening, which was wider than I liked initially.

I bought a Large and am 5’11, ~190 lbs with a 34″ inseam. The regular length hits perfectly above the ankle. I also own the longs and those go below my ankle. It all depends on how you want them to fit.

You really can’t go wrong with these leggings and may end up owning 6 pairs like me :).

This Ponte Legging is the perfect solution to hiding flaws and look brand new no matter how many times I’ve washed it. I bought a pair and after just one wear, I reordered another jegging in the same color because I truly loved the fit.

The shade ink is a deep hue similiar to midnight blue and makes me look like Ive lost weight. These are a great buy so I intend to try to reorder in black since the quality at this price is great. The faux leather on the front is soft and buttery yet the ponte on the back reshapes my figure with flattery.

Chicos should offer these jeggings in every color. They are amazing and would look great on any size,or shape, from teen aged to grandmother. These jeggings are my most favorite style of pants so I wash and wear them more often than I want to admit.

Fashionistas take my advice because these are very nice. If your considering ordering a pair. Just buy it!!!!!.

These are true to size. For reference: am 5′ 6 3/4 ” tall 129 lbs. Size “0” is a perfect fit 99. 9% of the time. The company policy for returns is so generouse so go for your true size. There is stretch for sure and very comfortable yet no bagging after wearing all day (sitting and standing).

Love “pull-ups” and they look so smooth. Look for the long sleeve matching top in faux leather too (colors in ‘black’ and ‘Ink’). You can now get these faux pants in “black” and Ink. ” Dynamite combo.

Laundered as directed ( I do inside-out on ‘delicate’ for extra protection) with perfect results plus no wrinkles since line dried both pants and tops. Just wish tops had been available at the same time as the pants.

I bought these when the weather was warmer, and did not wear until now. I had bought the black and white sweater in the picture at the same time, thinking the leggings were black. When I went to leave and also put on black boots, I saw the color difference, and ran to change to black leggings.

Now I am looking for a different top to wear with them, and hoping you will bring these leggings out in black.

These leggings feel cheap and thin. They run very small in the legs, but big in the butt. The waist is NOT high waisted, it’s awkwardly low-waisted. I ordered several other styles of leggings from Old Navy and I liked all of them, except these ones were terrible.

I bought these In raisin and was so excited to get them, but was quickly disappointed. They have no stretch, felt like they were going to tear and were hard to put on. There’s not enough elastic in the waistband to hold them in place when moving/bending.

I love Old Navy leggings and that’s all I wear. These will be going back to the store.

I love this new Duo Stretch fabric!! I ordered this legging in Petite Small. The cotton blend feels so breathable , soft, and comfortable. At the same time, the legging is just the correct thickness — not flimsy and not too thick.

The stretch is most welcome at the waistline ( Thanks to too much quarantine baking, but I’m grateful to have stayed healthy otherwise). This legging is forgiving due to the stretch. I returned the small and replaced it with a Petite XS.

I love the yoke design at the waist. Please continue to bring us more leggings made of Duo Stretch. I would love a little hip length jacket or topper to coordinate – maybe a long sleeve, front zip peplum jacket??.

Last Fall, I ordered the duo stretch leggings in black camo, taupe camo, black and navy. These are the most comfortable leggings I have ever worn! They are soft and stretchy, but not so much that they look sloppy.

They hold you in a bit like a gentle hug. Now, I decided to go back for more to order brown camo. I also ordered another duo stretch legging with pockets in dark slate. I missed out on the burgundy choice, but hopefully they will be in stock again soon.

I love Lofts high end ponte leggings. They are good quality thicker than most leggings. They are more expensive but I buy on sale. I buy up a size and don’t wear them as tight. My first day wearing the houndstooth.

They are gray and black. I really like them. A great petite fit. Highly recommend!.

I have a few pairs of LOFT ponte leggings. I love that they are structured enough to be professional. The print on these is a nice touch. I did dock a star because the material for these isn’t quite as thick and high quality as other LOFT ponte leggings I’ve ordered this season.

These match the Loft tailored jacket perfectly. They do not have the same stretch as most ponte, and were not as flattering as some of the others. They are also a bit itchy. Not my favorites, but they do look nice with the jacket.

I have bought a pair in the past and loved them. They are still in my rotation of clothes that I wear. This last pair did not even last an hour. I got out of my pickup and heard a rip. They ripped down all around the back of my leg.

I would understand if tight, but they were loose enough I could have ordered a size down. This last pair very cheaply made.

Nicely made leggings. I’ve lost quite a lot of weight over the last year and don’t really know my size yet. I’m 5’6”, 200 lbs. Going by the size chart, I ordered a 14/16. They are somewhat tight, but stretchy and comfortable.

I’m continuing to lose weight and expect them to last through the next 20 lbs.

Overall these leggings are just ok in my opinion. I wasn’t expecting the type of material they were made from to look like athletic wear and was thinking they would be more cozy type of leggings to wear with large sweaters.

They are also extremely tight. Like almost too small tight. For reference, I’m 5’6”, 125lbs, 34D, 26, 36 and ordered a size small. I’m always a size small in all clothing I buy or sometimes a size XS.

Usually items on Alloy fit me rather large and I almost went with an XS, but thank goodness I didn’t. Hopefully they stretch out with continued use. Pros are they aren’t see through.

Thicker material makes them completely non-see through, yet still thinking enough to wear comfortably in the summer. The waste band doesn’t loose elasticity ever throughout the day, or even after several uses and/or washes.

Making it so you don’t have to constantly pull them up or readjust. Tight fitting while still being easy to put on and off. I had 3 pairs for 5+ years that I’ve worn almost everyday and only recently have they started showing signs of where and tear.

So I decided to purchase 3 new pairs because they are that amazing.

Love Alloy! I’m 5ft 8in and it can be a challenge finding stylish pants with good length. These leggings have great stretch! I purchased most of my slacks for work from Alloy.

These slightly cropped flared leggings are so comfortable and well made, not too thin or too thick. They do not shrink in the washer in warm water. They are so comfortable and versatile that you can just put them on for a quick errand, an entire day out, or even traveling on the plane.

I like that it’s mostly cotton so it’s great for warm weather. I bought several of these in all colors to last me a long time.

I’m super short and it’s hard for me to find ankle cropped pants. I’ve been looking for a pair of pants that can be dressed up or down. These are great quality and perfect in the petite size for me, hits right at the ankles.

These are cropped. I ordered a Tall so they would be full length. They hit right at my ankle. I am 5’6″. Fabric is perfect with just enough stretch. Cotton blend so they are not shiny. Very comfy and great price.

Love the high waist and light material. Good for spring/summer. I would only wear with a long tshirt or tunic due to its sheerness. Had to get it taken up and I’m 180cm tall – so lots length for those with longer legs/torso.

Stretchy and comfortable. Missed out on 5 stars because flare was too wide for my liking so had them narrowed at same time hem was done.

I’m a very tall woman. 6’1 to be precise. ASOS Tall and Topshop tall have been my go to for trousers for years. These leggings are absolutely amazing and I wish I had brought them sooner. They fit perfectly and they are not short in length which is important to me.

ASOS please continue to sell these leggings because they are an essential part of my wardrobe. I would hate for them to be discontinued. They are true to size. I usually wear size 16 in jeans and I ordered the leggings in size 16.

I have 2 pairs of these leggings and I really want them to come back in stock. They’re great. I am 5’10, and they are the perfect length (slightly long) – they look like they do on the model on me. Love that they are ribbed.

I’d say they run slightly large – I am a size 10 on the bottom in ‘Tall’ ranges, and I’d say they are a size 11-12, but that makes them perfectly comfortable, and they don’t bag at the knees. I just love them.
