20 Best Led Work Light Tripod (2023 Updated)

My first impression out of the box is like other reviews, seems well built and sturdy. The thumb clamps, telescoping post and legs work nicely. Set up and breakdown are a piece of cake. It should travel and store easily.

There is a sweet cord wrap that includes a termination point to clamp the plug in place instead of futilely wrapping the plug in a half knot around itself and having it dangle loose. Also included is an hex wrench to adjust the light heads if needed, with a cool magnetic storage place right next to where you need it.

The lighting head lacks a bit of adjustability compared to some other models, but doesn’t take anything away from the quality of this light. Ok, time to address the elephant in the room. This thing is as bright as I imagine a solar flare to be.

I have no doubt eye contact with this for more than an instant will cause sight damage. I have a 7000 lumens job light I have been using that is perfectly adequate brightness. I figured the extra 2000 lumens would be gravy.

Oh boy is it ever. I haven’t used this on the job site yet (I am a painting contractor) but look forward to it. This will be in use every day and I will update in a few months as to its durability and practical function.

But right now I love the light. Super bright and thoughtfully engineered. 10/10.

I had a similar older Halogen floor standing work light and this thing is way better! My old one put out so much heat that you could easily burn yourself on the housing. Not only does this LED lamp not put out lots of heat but it seems much brighter than my older Halogen Lamp with two 500W bulbs.

I’m not able to do a direct comparison since both of my Halogen bulbs are shot and is the reason I purchased this one. It is also easily adjustable to get the light right where you need it. No screws to loosen for adjustment simce it uses a friction system to hold both lamps in the direction you point them.

You can even have one lamp pointing one direction and the other pointing the exact opposite. It’s also has very stable legs and is easily adjustable for height. Finally, the carry handle is very comfortable.

I got this for my parents laundry room in the basement. It shines brighter than the two ceiling lights in there combined. Price is amazing. I compared a lot of lights before choosing this one. Definitely the right choice.

You arent going to get as good a light for this price. DONT ACCIDENTALLY LOOK INTO THE LIGHT!! Boy, was that a terrible mistake to make when I was first positioning the light. We have had no trouble with the cord or the on/off toggle.

As the photos show below, the light illuminates a pretty large area. It does telescope up 7′ and the directional head allows the light to be easily aimed. The way the unit folds up for transportation it is relatively easy to carry up a ladder–even two story buildings.

We are a commercial roofing company that offers 24/7 repairs. This light is indispensable. With two of these lights, one on each side of our roof repair area, a huge area is illuminated well enough to do detailed repair jobs.

Another feature I love is the warning it gives prior to needing a new battery. It intermittently flashes for about 15 minutes before a battery is drained. The only thing it lacks is the ability to plug in a power cord.

That would make it much more convenient than changing out batteries. I HIGHLY recommend this light. P. S. We also have a DeWalt DCL070 light that looks like a fire hydrant. I really dislike this light because it is so heavy we can not carry it up a ladder for roof repairs.

Also, the DCL070 does not telescope up like the DCL079B.

This is one of those tools you don’t think about until you need it. While working late into the night in various buildings you need this tripod Light! Cut the power to move a wall or demo and now you are racing the sun.

After months of using small flashlights to light up my workspace at night, I finally bought this tripod light. WOW! what a difference. Much safer working environment.

Great light, powerful and small enough to store out of the way when not needed. I haven’t fully exercised this light but the few small projects I have worked on, this provides plenty of light for any size room.

Also works as a great secondary source of light during power outages, lighting up the entire downstairs in my home.

The light is not pure white and the clamp is not super stable. Except from those, it is a good product. It has magnets. After adding batteries, it is not as light weighted as before. But still not too heavy.

As a General Contractor I work in the Willamette Valley, a lot of times under houses or in tight places. So I put it to the test as I had to jack up a house to install new posts that support the main house beams.

They light was incredibly bright & very versatile! More than pleased with the results out of such a small light. I also took it Wyoming with me on a Antelope hunt. As I shot my Lope the sun was starting to set.

I used this item as soon as I took it out of the box. I had a install project in tight dark quarters and the ability to mount the light on a metal cabinet with the strong magnetic base worked perfectly.

The light output was exceptional and the ability to rotate the light to shine in the area I was working in was exactly what I needed. No need for a headlamp when this guy is handy! Compact, Durable and versatile with exceptional light output and focusing.

Went into home depot today and saw this on the shelf. At first I was kind of skeptical that it may not put out the brightness since it was on sale for only 20 buck. I’ve use a lot of coast LED headlight in the past and everyone of them had met all of my expectation in terms of brightness.

They all do live up to every expectation. Definitely well worth every pennies. After seeing how bright this little device out out. I definitely will be going back to home depot and grab me 3 more of this model before price goes back up.

Keep up the great build quality and brightness, coast! I’ll never settle for any other brand or company product for quality and brightness ever beside coast.

I am a residential electrician so I have to use some sort of flash light all of the time. The PM300 is one of my got to lights in my tool bag. The light can be adjusted to any angle & it folds up nice & compact for storage in my KLEIN tool bag.

Me & my family also love to camp & this light helps to brighten our camp site. The magnetic base is very helpful but I wish that it had some sort of protective coating on the magnet to keep from scratching the surface that it is magnetized to.

Other than that this is an amazing little light. I would recommend this light & many others from COAST line of lights.

Love the product. I am in the middle of painting the interior of the house. Great room has cathedral ceilings. The work light lights up the entire room. I can have it off to one side, out of the way and work without worry about tripping over it.

I went with led so it would not throw off excessive heat from the lamps. Very versatile and easy to move/set up/take down. I have been using the work light since I received the light three days ago. Turn it on first thing in the morning when I start patching/painting, and turn it off at the end of the day.

I have been very pleased with this purchase. This was a smart move on my part. It is going to make my paint job on the rest of the interior of the house much easier.

After working in the dark for years with crummy work lights I finally purchased the 6290 9000 lumen work light. The light is great! Very bright, nice, strong and sturdy stand and I really like the way the light collapses into a sleek easy to transport cylindrical shape.

The way the light heads fold together against each other for protection and easy storage and transport is great. There is even a specific place to wrap the power cord around the light. Thinking about buying a second one.

Well made and bright light.

The tripod was very easy to put together (zero tools needed). The top piece comes off so that you can place it on the floor, there is a handle that makes it that much easier to move around. It is one power supply for both lights that are on the tripod and you can tilt the lights up and down as well as adjust the tripod so that you can aim the light right were you need it.

The lights on the tripod are so bright that I was able to put the tripod at on end of the basement and and went to the other side (60 ft) and was still able to see with ease. Now the flash light is not as bright mainly because it is a flash light but it is bright for being a flash light and it is a side light or a normal flash light it also has a magnet on it so that it can stay in place.

I had it in my trunk of my car and had to use it to change a flat tire and it stuck to the inside of my truck for me to get my spare out and the side of my car so that I could see what I was doing while changing my tire.

Perfect for night, or day if you are in a house with no lights. Functional for all sorts of work needs. Flexible for small to large situations needing a light. The small flashlight worked wonders as well, it has two functions.

Both are bright and show quite well with what I was looking for.

Wow, the first time I turned this on I was just looking straight into the light when I turned it on. BLAM! Now that’s one bright light! No complaints here. But don’t be a dumdum and look at the light when you turn it on.

This is so easy to use that I gave one to my elderly mother. It’s just one button (and a nice LARGE button on the side). Press once and both lights turn on, press again and one turns off, press again and then the second one turns on and the initial one turns off, click again and they both turn off.

It is LITERALLY just ONE button! The design is fantastic. It’s very easy to maneuver. I love that it takes batteries so that I don’t have to keep recharging it once a week. (This isn’t chargeable. it strictly uses batteries which is great).

I love the silicone around it so that it doesn’t scratch furniture. I have one near my bed for reading at night. I love how you can stand it up or carry it around if you put the two legs together. ONLY ONE COMPLAINT (and this goes for MANY devices from various companies).

i CAN’T OPEN THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT. I had to have my hubby do it. We’re sending people into space, but they can’t make it easy to open a battery compartment? Why do companies stick with the same design to open battery compartments that they had when I was born in the 1960s.

Even my hubby with his very short nails and stubby fingers couldn’t open the two battery compartments without a quarter (that’s a coin that we used to use to pay for items–like a dollar bill).

DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS ITEM. I’m shocked at how great a design this is and how easy it is to use. But come on man, make an easy opening for the batteries. That would make this item totally groovy! And I LOVE the fact that this comes in colors.

I bought to use as a task light and as additional lighting for photos and Zoom calls. The light is super bright and perfect for my craft projects. I love how I can use one half or the whole light. I also love the handle/stand.

I can put the light at an angle and it stays. My husband swiped the second light and put it in his office for Zoom calls and online conference calls. We have tried the circle lights designed for social media recording without great success.

This handy light works perfectly! It lights up the room so his clients can see him on camera. He also uses the light to aid the flash on his cell phone camera for product pictures. Of course he isn’t looking for professional grade photos but better than the quality from just using a cell phone camera.

We were shocked at how much better his photos look. I highly recommend these lights. They really are handy. The price is fantastic, especially for two lights.

I ordered several of these to use for holiday gifts last year, and kept one for myself. My brother, who is a flashlight connoisseur, was impressed!!! Ha! He used it a lot during summer camping trips.

I am working on a house remodel, and use this light in closets and tight corners to illuminate when I am painting and changing out hardware on kitchen cabinets. It has been terrific; it throws a lot of light while the batteries are strong.

I’ve used it for MANY hours over the last 9 months, and have not had to change batteries yet! Its flexibility makes it very versatile. The only drawback I noticed is a weird sort of “line” that is cast on the wall or cabinets from the reflectors in the light.

In spite of that, I would order it again.

I ran runtime tests on this tripod light (DCL079B) with 2 different 20V Max battery sizes (4Ah & Ah). Published runtimes only stated “lowest brightness” runtime of 11 hours on 4 or 5Ah battery. I did not pay this kind of money to run the light on a reduced performance setting of 5 year old technology, so here is my personal experience on Highest brightness.

Both battery tests were conducted with a hand-held light meter, and brightness did not diminish at all the entire time, until automatically throttling back to lower setting at end of test. 8Ah new 20V Max battery, after 1st full charge.

Runtime was 3:45:47 before light flashed on and off twice, then reduced to a lower brightness. I think this new battery needed to be exercised into “full capacity” a few cycles, but these runtime results were after only it’s 1st full charge.

4Ah 9 month old 20V Max battery, charged a total of 6 times since new, and fully charged 6 hours before test. Runtime was 2:05:10 before automatically reducing to a lower brightness. Please be sure to store your lithium ion batteries at less than 100%, say 50%.

This battery chemistry is unlike prior battery technologies. This will yield full capacities for more years. This is a great light, and I would definitely recommend. I gave 4 stars for durability, only because I read so many bad reviews on the plastic leg hinges.

This may have been corrected since the reviews I read, as I have not experienced any trouble with them yet. The light head DOES pivot, unlike one review saying it doesn’t. Is a little stiff, but there is a screw to loosen up a bit.

I have 2 of these lights and use them all the time. The setup is easy and the light is far sturdier than any other tripod light that i have ever used. It does not knock over easily, and i actually use it to hold my trailer door on occasion when the wind keeps shutting it on me.

The height is very good for me even though i am tall – sure, i get it, ideally the light is directly over your head when working – but this isnt really realistic and you have to expect to move a work light around as needed to keep it out of your eyes.

I like the one button set up versus some of the others that require knobs, multiple legs etc. It puts off a ton of light, and using them in a pair to prevent shadows is very ideal and easy to do. Despite the fact that i have invested heavily in these lights and have plenty of reasons for doing so, i still have a complaint and a really big and super annoying one.

This light is very bright – it uses a lot of power and will drain batteries pretty quickly, to the point its annoying. I have about 40 batteries, but seriously do i want to be changing them all the time plus cycling them and wearing them out? i have more to do than that.

I would say i only get about 2. 5-3 hrs on a 6ah, and the 4ah just about wear down faster than the next one can charge. The technology existed years ago for this to be a corded/cordless tool with a power out – dewalt had this on their old DCL061 which i also own.

Awesome design, worth the money, but im still annoyed i cant plug it in when i need to use it all day. Clearly if there is no 110v power i wouldnt complain about batteries, but trying to use this on a daily basis caused me to go buy a 100.

00 corded work light which takes up more room in my trailer and gives less versatility (sigh. ) Had the light came with a 110v plug and a outlet just like is on the dcl061 I would be able to daisy chain them adding versatility and freeing up that space again in my trailer.

It’s bright and quick to set up. It eats batterys. Milwaukee has it made with the ability to plug in as well as use batterys. I can overlook the excessive battery usage but when the light was just over a year old the pcb went bad and I would have to pay $40 shipping and authorize $110 in order to get it repaired under warranty.

That’s $150 for a light I bought for $170 on sale. Very disappointed with dewalt on that.

Purchased 3 of these lamps as an emergency temporarily lighting for a 170 vehicle deep parking lot while the main lights were out. Very powerful and only ended up using 2 in the end. The power consumption is low enough that I plugged them on a regular timer.

Main concern though is the legs of the stand. It isn’t very sturdy and the round plastic ring that slides up and down the main pole snapped completely on 2 of the light stands with hardly any pressure and no misuse.

I ended up having to tape one of the lights to an existing lamp post. I would definitely re-purchase the lamps itself, minus the stand.

I agree with Swog about the design flaw. Only used the light a few times, but after 2-3 times, one of the rivets broke in the tripod leg. I was able to fix it using a nut and bolt. However, after a few more uses, someone knocked it over and broke the fragile piece.

Without the ability to get replacement parts, the tripod stand is now useless.

Bought this two weeks ago after blowing another bulb in our old halogen work light. What a great move. Bright light, easily adjusted, very sturdy base, energy efficient and best of all, no heat from the bulbs.

Definitely recommend this light stand.

So the 20,000 lumen claim is what got me interested in this light. As the math actually is the sum of two 10,000 lumen lights, you won’t be able to measure the 20,000 anywhere as it’s distributed, but it’s fairly bright nevertheless, and you have the option to use only one or both.

The included stand is mostly pre-assembled with exception of the frame holding the lights. Instructions are brief and the assembly of the Y-furcation of the power cord requires a bit of interpretation.

Once attached, it feels a bit alien in that position, but it makes generally sense. The cord finds two hooks to be wrapped around but the connector doesn’t have the usual groove to clip onto the cable.

Once the (minimal) assembly is done, you’re ready to use and yes! this is a bright light. It’s well worth the 200W it’s burning and that should make any home improvement project a breeze to extend into the dark hours.

Not only inside but it’s also quite potent outside and covers our whole backyard (which is not huge but not a tiny grass strip either). One issue turned up when trying to take pictures in my garage. While it’s odd that this mostly occurred when BOTH light were turned on, there was an odd interference with the iPhone camera resulting in a black stripe across the picture that would depend on the orientation and distance of the phone.

Especially videos were likely to be affected that way. Now remember that the listing does not claim these are lights for photography, but keep that in mind when thinking you can get yourself a pair of cheap studio lights.

With the purpose in mind, these are great work lights and the stand can reach high to make it universal for many tasks.

Weatherproof, light, bright, and 2 adjustable heads. This work light should be able to fit within every homeowners arsenal of tools. These really light up your work area and having 2 completely independently adjustable light heads is great.

One thing that sort of annoyed me, and it just might be me, I felt like sometimes I could detect that it was flickering. It didn’t bother me per se, more so it annoyed me. The light came disassembled and took approximately 6 minutes to fully assemble the light.

I was quite surprised on just how large the lights were and they did not disappoint on how bright. Since they are so bright, the lights are housed in a fairly large aluminum shell that acts as a heat sink.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TOUCHING THE LIGHT AFTER ITS BEEN ON. Lighten up any job site with these with ease. The LED color temperature is great and felt naturally light sunlight with colors popping. I can easily recommend this to anyone looking for a job light.

This Parmida LED dual-head work light with adjustable 6 ft tri-pod stand is fabulous! You can move it around to where you need it, adjust the tri-pod legs and also adjust the light casement as it can go somewhat up and down.

There is a button on the back of each light that you simply push and presto! You have plenty of light to work with. I ordered this for my husband because he needs more “task” lighting for inside his barn.

If he’s working with something smaller, the overhead lights are not enough. But this thing puts out incredible amounts of light so you’re able to see very well. He just recently had a headlight go out of his work truck and couldn’t see to screw it back on.

So with this work light he was able to get that done yesterday. You can only use one light if that’s all you need or use them both. I require a lot of light because of cataracts and these work lights are great for me too!.

Having embarked on a long term home remodeling project last year, I have done many tasks where additional light was needed. I made do with small lights, but knew I needed something bigger for many of the projects I’ll be doing in the future.

I looked at several tripod lights at stores, but was not impressed by what I saw. Either too light or not well built, I just didn’t feel they would hold up to regular use. I finally took a look at what DeWalt had to offer and found the DeWalt DCL079B 20V Max Cordless Tripod Light listed online.

I watched some videos of someone using the light, and read several positive reviews, so I ordered one from Amazon. I am very glad I purchased this light and wish I had done so a year ago! I’ve been using it almost daily to greatly brighten the areas I am working around and absolutely love it! This is NOT a flimsy tripod light by any means, as it weighs 16 pounds and is very sturdy when setup.

It is very easy to setup or break down and telescopes between 39″ and a maximum height of 84″. The light head can be tilted or spun around as needed, and the LED light has three settings up to 3000 lumens.

I really like that this light operates with my DeWalt 20V Max batteries, as I don’t have to worry about any extensions cords and that makes setup that much faster. This is a great quality light and I definitely recommend it!.

I purchased two of these lights to use in the pits. I wanted them because the pack small and put out a lot of light. Having the ac/dc is also a plus. After I used them for the first time, folks were saying how great the work.

The next time I used them only one worked when plugged in, so I used up all my batteries keeping the other one going. Had to send it back for repair, it was about $40. 00 each way. Got it back and worked great.

So, now the other light has the exact same issue. Not sure what the issue is with them?.

BUY THIS. The Rocket M18 is a “hybrid” that accepts batteries and/or a power cord. If you need to see a scrap of dust from 40 feet away or need to wear sunglasses inside, this is your light. The Rocket also has 3 light levels, and the lowest setting is great too.

It fully extends over six feet tall and is fully adjustable.

This light works so great for my job. I am an independent contractor. Who works on construction for residential homes? I use this light every single day. And I will not leave home without it. It is so good that I actually bought 2 of them.

My only concern is With one of the lights I own. It will get confused as when I’m using the battery and I switch over to the electrical plug After disconnecting the battery. It won’t turn on. I would have to leave the light alone For a few hours and then it will be able to work again.

It is like the light is confused whether it should draw power from the battery or draw power from the electrical cord.

Great light and well constructed. The handle is sturdy and also serves as a stand. I was also impressed to find out there are four little magnets on the back that holds it in place really well. My only complaint is I wish it had an optional power pack.

I run it constantly while working on cars and you can see it start to fade after about 90 minutes. By the third hour it’s pretty much useless and by the fourth hour it is dead requiring another four aa batteries.

If there were just the option to plug it into the wall and run it at full strength constantly, it would be perfect. But still a great light if you use it intermittently.

I own several of these by now. I keep 2 on my semi truck, and 2 at home. The usb charge is probably best part about them. I almost quit using flashlight now that I have these guys. I set both of them out to help a crane unload me at 10pm a few nights ago.

The crane crew checked them out and we’re pleased to learn how inexpensive at available at HF. I gave them 1 of them to the crane operator. It gives me an excuse to buy a few more 😎 I’d love if the batteries lasted a little longer, but I guess that goes for everything right!.

WHY oh WHY do all LED lights now come with a ‘flashing’ mode? Good golly how many people really NEED their LED work light to rapidly flash, non-stop? For emergencies? – maybe but how many LEDS do you need flashing in an emergency, maybe 1? I would have given this 5 stars if the light switch didn’t force you to toggle thru 3 brightness levels AND flashing mode to turn it off.

ANY light that has a flash/strobe mode will get MAX 3 stars from me. Even my 4yr. old hates a massively bright work light flashing in her face.

I picked this up from my local store and first impression was bigger and heavier than I expected but there are handles all over this light to carry easily. At 8:10am I had decided that the lowest light setting was perfectly ok and had a fully charged 54v 9ah battery in.

Left it on through tea breaks the lot, at 4:40pm I switched it off and pressed the battery indicator on the battery and it was showing 2 out of 3 bars. Even if it was nearly going to go to 1 bar let’s say I still know that the light would last all day without having to worry.

Perfect!!!.

Purchased this to allow me to work on in to the Winter Evenings and even in Wet Weather. Without a doubt one of the best i have had it is very sturdy when assembled and packs neatly away. Will light up a complete room or large outside areas.

May look at getting another one when finances permit.

This light is excellent, bought it for site work for these dark winter days and did not disappoint. The light is a little bigger than expected but all in all a great product. The light has 3 brightness settings and you get about 3hours light off a 4ah battery when on full wack (like a floodlight) more than adequate light on the dimmest setting which will last about 5hours or a 54v will easily last the day! Another great product by dewalt! Only had it a little over a week that’s why the 4* for reliability.

These lights combo is great and pretty good value for what it is. The only thing that confuses me is why won’t it swivel downwards? I basically have to finagle and install the light cross rail upside down for it to be able to point downwards.

If you need a light to face a wall or a ceiling, this is perfect. The only quality issue is that the strain relief on one of the lights were broken. For me these lights are pretty much going to remain stationary so it doesn’t matter.

Very bright, very white light. They are not hot and the light dispersal is about medium sharpness. High sharpness would be like the cutoff on HID lights on a car, low sharpness would be like a cheap plastic flashlight with a plastic lens that is unfocusable.

I am glad I got these lights but if the bracket that holds it would be be a hair wider or more spaced off on the light to allow for rotation downwards, it would get 5 stars, regardless of the broken strain relief.

I originally walked into Harbor freight to buy the 18,000 lumens. Settled on the 4’500 lumens instead. Because of price wise. We’ve been working on a fence project for several months now. Well with time change and sun going down early.

We can only tackle a little at a time. This light has done wonder’s, it is plenty of bright for our needs. We use one led to light up fence area. And rotate the other for the staining process. It also swivels up and down.

It can be removed from tripod. Which I think will come in handy at some point. The tripod extension works great for us. It’s does not consume a lot of power. Just out of curiosity I plugged it in my 400 watt inverter which max is 800 watts.

It powered well and lid up my entire living room. So for remote type job or location it’s good to now I have that option.

I love this work-light. I purchased it for painting, and it produces a lot of light for the money. We’re painting the interior of our house, getting it ready for sale. I’m getting older and my eyes aren’t as great as they used to be.

I compared prices for this and one from one of the big home improvement stores. The specs aren’t identical, but a similar light costs almost twice as much at the big home improvement store. The one from the HI store gives a little more light, but not enough more to justify the difference in cost.

Trust me, this light is bright enough. Some reviewers gave it a bad review because the light doesn’t swivel down, but it went down enough for my purpose. If you need it to point directly down, it’s probably not the light for you, but I got enough light to paint the lower moulding without any issues.

It’s very well built and is very stable. The tripod legs allow you to adjust the legs from very wide to very narrow while maintaining stability. There is absolutely nothing I do not like about it.

You can never have enough lighting when working on projects, and this Milwaukee M12 Rocket light is my new favorite! So I’m already vested in the M12 line and have tons of batteries, so adding this cool little light to my arsenal was a no-brainer to me.

It is so compact, easy to set up, and as bright as I expected from Milwaukee. Dual fuel options put it over the top. The two complaints I keep reading in reviews about this light, that being the limited setup heights and how hard it is to remove the battery, have proved to be absolutely NON EXISTENT! You just need to know how to operate your equipment.

If you want it lower than full height, which is very high by the way, just extend both sections without locking it open and then let the top section slide back into the larger bottom section. That section will then hold the light at any height you want just by sliding it up or down.

And the battery removes EXACTLY the same as any other M12 tool. Easiest way I have found to remove all these batteries is to have the back side of the battery facing up, then just squeeze the tabs and it pops right out.

I highly recommend this light.

As an electrician, I spend time working in the dark (literally, not metaphorically! ) I’ve used all different kinds, from brooder lights to head lights and a lot between. This light can light a room very well, and even works great outdoors.

As with other Milwaukee LED lamps, the light quality is great and easy on the eyes. Since it is self-supporting, I can use it anywhere without fumbling around for a place to mount it. Yet, it is very compact when collapsed.

I like how balanced it is when I carry it. The fact its dual powered gives much flexibility. There are a couple of things that don’t work for me, which bums me out. Hitting the final stops when extending it is hit or miss.

This means a lot of times a gnat could simply fart on it and the light head will slide down on its own. I fear the catch on it will loosen to point where the head won’t stay up. Other times the head won’t slide down when I’m done using it, only sliding after some effort.

I do note the tripod itself is robust and I’ve not observed any instability. My other quibble, as noted by others is that it is difficult to remove the battery. A charger would be cool, but I suspect it would add weight and increase the size, thereby removing significant size advantages.

I would recommend this, even with the sliding down issue. It’s that good of a product. However, I would be grateful if Milwaukee can find a reasonable solution to this. It would then be an unbeatable product.

The light output is very good. The AC inlet is very handy if you don’t want to use batteries. Positioning of the light head, also very good. The extension pole is another story. Unless you extend it all the way UP, the poles slowly slides down.

In the users’ manual, it mentions “. pulling firmly until the detents lock the poles in place”. I can’t detect any detents, only a snug ‘stop’. Perhaps a better ‘detent’ would be in order for the next version of this unit.

So, using this light while having the poles FULLY extended, the Tower Light is a great investment!.
